City to go see Vibes Cartel perform.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I know you was outside.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
I was really outside doing things that I've just had
a good time. Today we have a special guest joining us,
a friend of mine, Harold Wilkerson a k A. H
o aka Uptown Harry.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
He has a book out. It's Beyond Words. It's the
Art of Calculated Communication, and we're going to talk about
just communic He teaches communication in college and so he's
got some good tips for you if you have problems
with that or you want to improve how you can
communicate and how you can network and all of that.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
But in the.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Meantime, let's shine a light. Eight hun, you're at two
ninety two fifty one fifty. It was Father's Day over
the weekend, and so let's do a special shine of light.
It's way up.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
Turn your lights on, y'all. It spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Shine the light on them, Shine a light on.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here with my guy.
I came with what's up. Happy Father's Day's Eddy?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Hey? You right?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
And let's shine a light today. I want to shine
a light on God behind Bars. I saw this story
that they did. They posted yesterday. They hosted their first
ever father daughter dance inside of San Quentin State Prison.
There were sixteen incarcerated fathers that were reunited with their daughters,
some for the first time ever after more than a
decade apart. And it was a beautiful thing to see.

(01:46):
It's on their YouTube channel, God behind Bars, so you
can see that happening as fathers and daughters. It's so
emotional to see. Some of them have only seen their fathers,
you know, just them prison, not a chance to do
something like that. But it was beautiful. One woman said
her father was in prison for twenty five years and
she said last year is the first time she had

(02:07):
seen him since he'd gone in Oh wow. Yeah. So
that's a beautiful thing for Father's Day, for being able
to go and just do that, you know, and the
work that they're doing a guy behind bars, so shout
out to them for that, all right. Eight hundred two
nine fifty. Who do you want to shine a light on?
Hey 's this?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
This is your boyfriend?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Okay? And who would you like to shout?

Speaker 7 (02:30):
I want to shine a light on you?

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Why is that?

Speaker 7 (02:33):
Because you made my day so wonderful yesterday And even
though you're a bug out sometimes and you know the
struggles that I have to go do with my kids
that I'm not with them on the daily, you made
my day wonderful and I appreciate you. I just wanted
to shine a light on you.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Happy Father's Day.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Happy Father's Day, and I love you. Have a bless day, right.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Okay, zad he love you too. All right? That was
all that was sweete a dance inside the prison, all right? Well, anyway,
that was China light eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty In case you want to shine a light
during last word and when we come back, we have
your EE team and let's talk about Carti b. There's
something that's on her bucket list that she really wants

(03:13):
to do and I would love to see this. I
feel like it's going to happen. It's way up, they.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Say in the rooms.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
From Industry Shade to all of gosp Out sending angels
feeling that yet it's.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Way up in Angela. Yee, I'm here with akem Woods.
How you doing?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I'm good, let's up.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Let's get into this yet. So Cardi B is ready
to make her WWE debut. That's going to be huge.
That's exciting now. Triple H spoke to Billboard about this
and he said, I don't know if anybody can control
Cardi B. Let me just start with that. So if
she wants to, I think it's going to be hard
to talk her out of it. And then what can
we expect? Who the hell knows? The one thing I
know about Carti is whatever she's going to do is
what she's going to do. And you're sort of kind

(03:51):
of just hanging on to the tiger's tail a little
bit there. So it feels like it's already happening because
you know that.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
I feel like that's just wider Parali.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, she was called that previously by Live Morgan and
her tag team partner Raquel Rodrigueze proposed taking her on
and Meg thee Stallion in a.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Two on two Ooh, that'll get numbers, would it?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Right?

Speaker 3 (04:14):
All right? Now, Justin Bieber, I actually feel really bad
for everything that he's going through because he can't go
anywhere without the paparazzi on him. So he was on
Instagram and he shared some screenshots of texts that were
sent to him and between him and an anonymous former friend.
And this is all after Justin Bieber had to really
go off on the paparazzi as he was trying to

(04:36):
just enjoy himself. Listen to this.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
I'm a dad, I'm a husband. You're not getting it.
It's not clocking to you. I'll give it from the sidewalk.
I'm like staying.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Around my car. You're gonna take this video ont of context.
You're gonna say, I'm mad.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I don't know who the paying you to provoke me,
but I'm not the one people think that just because
you're a celebrity, that paparazzi and regular pee anybody has
the right to just just right just because you're at
the beach. He's probably just trying to have a good
day at the beach. That has to be really annoying.
And then he posted these text messages between him and

(05:11):
someone else. He said, I will never suppress my emotions
for someone. Conflict is a part of relationship. If you
don't like my anger, you don't like me. My anger
is a response to pain I have been through. Asking
a traumatized person not to be traumatized is simply mean.
And the person responded, I'm not used to someone lashing
out of me. It's not that I don't see and
feel your anger. And he said, this friendship is officially over.

(05:31):
I will never accept a man calling my anger lashing out.
I enjoyed our short lived relationships. Then he talked about
boundaries and he also called the person a whoosie. Let's
say that.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
But who is this person? They have not.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Confirmed, but clearly it's a man, because he said, another man,
you know, saying this to me. And then he said,
quit asking me if I'm okay, Quit asking me how
I'm doing. I don't do that to you because I
know how life is for all of us. It's hard.
Let's encourage our people not to project our securities on
to one another. Your concern doesn't come off as care.
It's just oppressive. Weirdo. Oh and it's interesting because he

(06:06):
posted this. It's not like the other person posted, which
is weird to post, but I guess it's his way
of saying, everybody leave me alone and stop asking me,
am I okay? He's clearly not okay. He's clearly traumatized
him whatever, and being a child star the way that
he was and in the spotlight the way that he was,
he probably just wants people to go away and leave

(06:27):
him alone and be normal.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, did you ever meet him?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
I sure have actually really met him a few different times.
And on one occasion it was one of my good friends.
His name was b Major at the time. He's since
changed his name, but you know, shout out to him,
and we went to go hang out with Justin Bieber
at his hotel because he was one of his producers.
He was actually really nice, and then I was leaving

(06:50):
and I was like, all right, I'm gonna go get
something to eat, and he was like, I'll come too. Oh.
And then this is when he was dating Selena Gomez
and he just basically was like, what do you think
it means when she says this? Because he was young? Yeah,
you know, when they were dating, and he was asking
me like relationship questions and it was cue cute so
shout out to Justin bieber Man. All right, well that
is your yet when we come back, we have about

(07:10):
last night where we discussed what we did last night.
I got to hear about your weekend and you got
to tell me about Godfrey's special because he had well
filmed its special at the Apollo and I missed it.
But it's way up.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
It's way up at Angela. Ye, I'm here with Akeen
Wiz and it's time for about last night. Talk to me.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (07:35):
So you went to go see Godfrey at the Apollo
in his special?

Speaker 2 (07:38):
How was that amazing?

Speaker 8 (07:39):
We went to the early show because we had we
couldn't go to the late show, but it was great.
The material was amazing because you know, I've been working
with god for for years, so I've seen a lot
of his stuff. But to see it as concise as
it was, it was it was extremely I can't wait
for you, guys.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
I was so I couldn't go because I actually had
an event in my coffee shop at mayoral debate watch
party with New York City votes. I really really really
wanted to be there, but I cannot wait to see
the specials.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Everyone was Thereuez was there. It was great all right.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Well, over the weekend I went to go see Vibes
Cartel in Atlantic City and what I did was I
made it like a trip with my friends. Kim Osrio.
It was her birthday. She's the first ever woman editor
in chief of the Source back in the day to day.
But she's also an executive producer on a lot of
TV shows that you've seen, like Growing Up hip Hop
and Black in Chicago and Love and hip Hop. But anyway,

(08:36):
it was her birthday, so she came out, and then
my girl Kashawn came out, Keys who works with me
all the time, my makeup Ice. Yes, we anyway, we
had so much fun. It was like a little fun trip.
Mona Scott was there because she's one of the promoters
that Mona Scott Young sorry for and Mano came too.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, so shout out to DJ Soth, DJ Nori. I mean,
we really really had a great time. DJ Envy was there.
We were the ones that introduced Vibes Cartel on stage.
My girl Spice, oh I Shanna, everyone that was outside.
I will say when I first got there, it was
not looking crowded in the Boardwalk Hall in the arena,
and I was like, man, I can't believe these tickets.

(09:19):
But then everybody came so late. By the time Vibes
Cartel hit the stage, it was packed.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
What time was the show?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
So they had a strict what was supposed to be
a strict heart out at eleven, but that didn't happen.
But the show he got on stage at nine thirty,
but doors opened at seven.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
And what time you get there?

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I got there like around what time did he get there?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
What time did you get there?

Speaker 3 (09:39):
I got there like eight fifteen.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Oh, and it was still empty.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
It was like kind of like what was going on here?
But then when I tell you, it was packed by
the time he hit the stage.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, So shout out to everybody that came out to
see Vibes Cartel. I really took this book and just
because I wanted to go see Vibes Cartel and bring
my friends, because when he was in Brooklyn, it was
like there were people who had tickets that couldn't get
in the building.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
So this was just a great experience and we have fun.
All right, Well that was my about last night. Now
you know what we getting into tell us a secret.

Speaker 8 (10:13):

say last week somebody called and said that he was
sleeping with his boss's wife. And then he called back
in because his boss heard it. Ooh no and yes,
So now did you get fired? I think so, yes,

kicked out too, so uh she had to come stay

because look at us.

Speaker 2 (11:17):

Speaker 3 (11:18):
We a ame mess out here. Eight hundred fifty anonymous

Speaker 9 (11:23):
All right, so you know like the rapper skywater, right.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
I don't know who that is, but let me google it,
but go ahead, all right.

Speaker 9 (11:33):
Well, I didn't know that they were twins.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Okay, Oh when I met guy, I wait, like on
the teat like.

Speaker 9 (11:42):
Just like as a greeting or whatever.

Speaker 3 (11:44):

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, that's the secret.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
How old are you?

Speaker 2 (11:51):

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Did you guys stay in touch?

Speaker 9 (11:58):

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Been for the past year or Unicorn, I don't know what, Nifornia,
I have married.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Your paper boo.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Okay, so how do you find these married couples? Well,
the first client invited me to their booth bah, and
then I guess they just recommend people. They got friends
in there.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
When you say clients, what you I'm a hair dresser.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Okay, okay, makes sense, but you can see but the
couple and then do their hair.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
One of my clients invited me with her hook.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Oh and what's from there?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (13:16):
So how does this go down? What's the rules?

Speaker 2 (13:18):
No kids?

Speaker 7 (13:19):
And pretty much everything.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Goes you know, whatever we decide work.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Do you like men or women better? Usually do like
the wife or the husband better? Why?

Speaker 5 (13:30):
I think?

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Okay, but it depends on the couple and sometimes me
and don't know what they're doing down here. That's the fact, listen,
I know, I don't how much says something like that run?

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I was one of them the same thing.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Well, I turned out and then it begin if there's
a run like three thousands. But dang, okay, okay, has
anyone ever gotten jealous?

Speaker 9 (13:58):
No? I haven't ran into that.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
No one tried to hit me up on the side
without the mate, you know.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Okay, Okay, I like that. You're very professional.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
That's game work. Okay, that sounds fun.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
All right, Well they did see and you enjoy it,
and they enjoy it too. Out here saving marriage, Yeah.

Speaker 8 (14:17):
Make that money girl, that part that part all right,
well they kind of here.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Oh well, thank you for calling. I wonder if you
got to pay taxes on that.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
I mean she probably do now.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
All right, Well, that was tell us a secret. You
feel good about that.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I mean, we did it all right.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. You can
always leave a secret for last word. And when we
come back, we have your yee tea. And there was
a brawl over the weekend at the three game Dwight
Howard versus Land Stevenson. We'll give you the details. It's
way up shore.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
She's about to blow the lid off this spot.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Let's get it.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Oh, Angela's feeling that yee tea. Come and get the tea.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here, I can't.
We just guest hosting.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Let's get into some of this, EyeT. The Big Three
had quite a weekend. Over the weekend, I thought we
were talking about music again. I'm like, wait, Drake, and
then we're back at it. No, not that big three.
This is a different Big three, and unfortunately there was
just a lot of issues. But I feel like this
also brings excitement. Dwight Howard and Lance Stevenson. This went viral.
They got into a brawl at the game. Dwight Howard

(15:20):
recently made his debut for the LA Riot and in
a game against Miami three h five. You know, Lance
Stevenson and Michael Beasley. I guess did this whole big thing?
And yeah, there was a fight. You saw the fight, Dan,
What did you think about that? Dwight Howard was grabbing
Lance Stevenson tossed them. Officials and players, everybody intervenes.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
I'd say it's good for the sport, you know.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Yes, yes, but it's like players that used to play
in the NBA or used to play professionally.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I thought, isn't the finals happening?

Speaker 8 (15:52):
This guys that used to play either overseas or in
the NBA.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
It's pretty exciting to watch at times. Another thing that
happened is Stephen Jackson. He is the head coach of
the d MV trilogy and he was mad because their
team had their first loss of the season. And here
is what he had to say, yelling at his players
for how they played.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
The hotel.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Now, y'all want to show on front of these people,
I'm not.

Speaker 8 (16:30):
Geez hr anybody listen.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I know and they all grown know each other like
talking crazy like that. But I will say all of
the activity is making people be like, oh, I got
to watch these Big three games.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Yeah, I mean, listen, we all love a little drama.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
All right. Now, let's talk about this show Denny of Kings.
When we saw Kirk Franklin at the BET Awards, he
was talking about this. This is a new show that
he has on YouTube and I thought it was pretty
good to watch, especially because the first episode came out
on Father's Day and it features DC Young, Fly daval Ellis,

(17:07):
Country Wayne and Lou Young and they're talking about fatherhood.
What an appropriate time for this to come out. And
here is what Kirk Franklin had to say about not
having a father in his life.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
I'm the only guy at the table who didn't have
his father.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I was adopted.

Speaker 10 (17:20):
And then even the lady that adopted me, really didn't
want me, and so all I knew was the rejection.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Of not being accepted.

Speaker 10 (17:27):
I wish I would have had the same type of beginning,
because I do believe that the reason why y'all are
so confident to think differently is because you had a
man somewhere fat in your dad.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Oh that's a great conversation to have, you know, just
thinking about, especially over the weekend, people, how your father
has affected your life? What about you? Q. You don't
know him, so how you think that affected you. Is
it something that you feel like.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
My mom was dope, SORR. I think I was fine.

Speaker 8 (17:58):
I know some people like that's why he's hey, But
I also have a brother who's not games.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Yeah, there would be a whole lot of people that
are getting occasion xhack people. All right, well that is
your Yet when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not in the headlines.
They're flying under the radar, but you need to know
about them anyway. So much to talk about. Let's talk
about women waiting longer to have children according to data.
We'll give you some information on that and and update

(18:24):
on what's going on with the gentlemen that broke out
of the prison in New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
They're out here, two of them.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Good for them.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
In the news that relates to you, these stories are
flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here with a
keen Woods. How you doing.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
I'm good.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
You ready for these under the radar stories?

Speaker 2 (18:41):
I am ready for these stories, all right.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Well, the age of motherhood in America is climbing. New
mothers are waiting longer to have their first child. The
average age for women giving birth reach nearly thirty years
old in twenty twenty three. That's a big increase. Twenty
sixteen it was twenty eight. First time mothers are now
typically twenty six seven and a half years old, up
from twenty six point six and twenty sixteen.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
That's because they don't have that show te Moms anymore.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
No, I think you know what it is.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
That's why they take away to the shoe and people like, well,
am I gonna be on TV? I'm not gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
They do say that women in rural areas start about
four years earlier than women in metropolitan areas. And you know,
they said there's probably multi multiple factors that have affected
this statistic. Pregnant people are choosing when they have their
children often based on financial stability, timing of stable relationships,
various personal goals, and career aspirations. And there's also advances

(19:36):
and reproductive technology so people can have more control over
their reproduction timing. Nice, but I will say something that
is that we all should know earlier, is like if
you need to freeze your eggs as young as you can,
because you never know what's going to happen later on
in life. So just to have them on standby, all
right now? In New Orleans, since that jail break happened,

(19:59):
ten inmates of Skins from the Orleans Parish jail and
so far all of them except two inmates have been recaptured.
Two inmates, Antoine Massey and Derrek Groves, are still on
the run. One of them, Massey, has a criminal background
that dates back to two thousand and seven. That's when
he escaped the Dubnole Detention Center that's now known as
Juvenile Justice Intervention Center. In twenty nineteen, he escaped from

(20:20):
the Moorhouse Parish Attention.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Center day so he's just out here escaping.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
He cut off two ankle monitors and so he's one
of the people that they are looking for. He has
claimed his innocence. He said he was let out. If
you guys recall that video that he did where he
was talking about being let out.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
But he made a video.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Yeah, today and Groves was jailed on three counts of
attempted second degree murder. He had just been convicted in
October twenty twenty four. In that case. They are trying
to ask them to turn themselves in. I don't know
if that's going to.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Happen at this point.

Speaker 8 (20:55):
I don't think they're going to turn them off in
because they already like because they know once they turn
them off in, they gonna a bunch of more times.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Well. Kim Groves, that was Kim Groves is a thirty
two year old mother of three who was gunned down
in the ninth Ward and Groves's Girlfrienddriana Burton, was also
a rested in connection with helping him escape. So her
bond is now two point five million dollars. She's facing
felony charges. Dang, you can't help somebody escape prison?

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah, woo, Louisiana, y'all going through it.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
I know if I was him, I would feel terrible that,
you know, my lady is now in trouble.

Speaker 8 (21:32):
Yeah, but if you run for the law and out
here breaking out of jail, you probably don't have that bunch.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Of a conscience.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
It's just like when we talk about a lot of
times women get the short end of the stick. We
just be helping, like, yoh, hold this and the next thing.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
You know, sometimes you just let somebody go all right.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Well that is you're under the radar. We do have
the way it mixed. At the top of the hour,
plus we got Harold Wilkerson joining us. He has a
book out now. It's Beyond Words. It's the Art of
Calculated Communication. And you'll get a lot of tips on
the best ways to network, to communicate, to market yourself,
all about yourself.

Speaker 8 (22:04):
So come to my show June twenty sixth, period a
Keywood's that confer tickets.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
It's way up. She's like the like they Angela Jean
like they Angelie Jean Man.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaky way up.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here with
my guy I keen Wood's we good.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (22:24):
What's happening? All right, well, let's talk about this Diddy trial.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Girl, Let's get into it.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
I know we got to do some more updates about
what's going on. So Diddy is asking the judge for
a mistrial. Now that this juror has been dismissed Jura
number six, that juror will be replaced by the first
alternate juror. And the problem is that during jury's selection,
the juror said he lived with his fiance and baby
daughter in the Bronx, but in an inquiry last week,

(22:52):
he said he really recently moved in with the women
and his child who's been who've been living in New Jersey,
but also stays with us on the branch.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Just too many, too many, too many different there, both
one story.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
After another in consentency is about where he'll live. Now,
what we do know is that he is a forty
one year old man and said he is a fan
of nineties hip hop. So that's what we do know.
But the alternate jurror who's going to be replacing him
as a fifty seven year old man who lives with
his wife and two kids in Westchester County. He said

(23:22):
he has heard some media coverage, but according to Diddy.
What it is is they dismissed the black jerror and
replace him with the white ones. So he doesn't feel
like this is a jury of his peers. And he
has accused prosecution of racial bias.

Speaker 8 (23:35):
Well, if they want to alleviate this, which I think
they should, just so we can really convict him a.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
Black jur just get to just replace him with another
black germ.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
But they had to do the first alternate jerror. That's
not how. I don't think you get to be like
one black and one black, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
so there was only two black men on the jury.
Now there would only be one. Yeah, So there you go.
There's also today, let's talk about what's going on today.
They're showing messages that show hotel planning and clean up concerns.

(24:05):
They also played an audio filing court that they say
was recorded January thirty of twenty twenty three, and it's
called a King Knight. That's what they were doing, these
wild quote unquote king knights. And they're talking about picking
up money and reupping on baby oil and they asked
for fifteen bath towels.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
How much babyhood does this? Do need?

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Listen? They said it was very very very slippery at
these quote unquote king Knights. So we'll keep you guys
updated on what's going on with this ditty child, of
course we will, all right, now, deut Chavis was recently
on social media and she was venting about just being
tired of taking care of her kids. If you remember,
she had a little quick Diddy situation, she was in

(24:46):
and out of there on that boat. But anyway, she
has three different fathers. Bow Wow, Future and Trayvon Diggs
are the three fathers of her children. And here's what
she had to say.

Speaker 11 (24:55):
Okay, y'all, like, you know, it's like having two kids,
that's one thing. Having three is like having ten. The
babies is where they I need a break. Shy's with
her at Hendrix is wrong. I'm gonna stop having them
if you're.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Tired A good one. Yeah, she should have known going
on social media and trying to get any type of
sympathy was not gonna happen. They were just.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Who's gonna have sympathy? You have three rich baby daddies.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Yeah, but you know, motherhood is not easy for anyone.
Of course, there are three kids and then having to
deal with all those personalities and needing a break and
running a business is what she was saying too. It's
just exhausting.

Speaker 8 (25:33):
I agree, But also you chose to have three kids
with three famous people.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
All right, well that is you're hazy. When we come back,
it is time for ask yee eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty. I have empathy, A keem does
not eight.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Hundred correct find out why.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Dune twenty six eight hundred two nine two fifty one
fifty call us up for ask yee?

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Bye?

Speaker 6 (25:52):
Hey, everybody like six, whether it's relationship or career advice,
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
You should if this is Askee, what up?

Speaker 3 (26:00):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here with a
keen Woods getting ready for his show on the twenty six, twenty.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
Six to June.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
But it's time for ask yee eight hundred and two
ninet two fifty one fifty. Now this person does want
to remain anonymous?

Speaker 9 (26:12):
What up?

Speaker 4 (26:13):
Whatever?

Speaker 3 (26:14):
What's your question today for ask ye?

Speaker 5 (26:16):
In a relationship and in the bedroom be born?

Speaker 8 (26:21):
Okay, you always heard and I don't leave my girl,
but it is a problem.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
He says. She's always hurting.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
Yeah, you're always in pain, in pain from your sickness.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Oh that's tough. When does she find out she has MS?
Is it before you or while she was with you?

Speaker 5 (26:41):
It was while we were together.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
That's tough for both of you, guys, because I'm sure
she already feels terrible about it and there's nothing she
could really do about it. I'm gonna be honest. I
have a close friend who has MS. She was married
with kids and it flaiir got really bad for her,
and her husband ended up cheating on her and then
leaving her. You have to be honest because I would

(27:03):
hate for a situation to end up where you hurt
her even more by cheating on her, her finding out
and getting hurt by that, and there's nothing she could
really do about it, right, I'm sure is she on
the steroids and medication and all that. Yeah, If you're
not gonna be there in it for her for the
long haul and you know that, I think it's better
for you to let her know now and to be honest.

(27:25):
And it's gonna break her heart because it's already difficult.
But what's harder is to be with somebody who is
not satisfied, doesn't really want to be there isn't all
the way in it, and it's probably gonna cheat and
leave you later.

Speaker 5 (27:35):
It's not that I don't want to see that.

Speaker 7 (27:37):
It's just like I'm thinking about just asking.

Speaker 5 (27:39):
Her for like a hall pair.

Speaker 8 (27:41):
That's why I was gonna say, discuss a semi open
relationship where like maybe once a month or something like
that you can go with.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
It starts off that way and then it turns into
you falling in love with somebody else, you know, a
hall past once a month, It just kind of will
open the door for other things. And I think you
just need to figure out, you know, long term. And
maybe this is an honest conversation for the two of
you guys to have together, because I'm sure she already
probably is asking you, like, you know, how do you feel?

(28:08):
Is this bothering you? Are you going to stay with me?

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (28:11):
I'm just gonna have a conversation with her because I
haven't really been talking to her about it, and it's
just a whole lot.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Yeah, like you want to be a good guy, you
love her, you want to be there for her, but
then you also have the knees that want to get
fulfilled for you. You tired or watching porn you tied
or using all that lotion, right, if you really love
her being open and honest and if you care about her,
I would rather you do that then end up, you know,
hurting her in a different way where you're cheating or

(28:38):
you're doing different things, and then that could be something
you never come back from. So, you know, just let
her know, like, I want to be here, but I
do have these knees that I and so let me
know what do you think is the best way for
us to move forward? And you guys can come to
a decision together. Okay, thank you, Okay, good luck. That's
such a difficult situation. But I think it's dope that

(28:59):
you really want to make sure that you're there for
her still, all right, all right, take care? All right,
Well that was ask ye. That's some real stuff right there. Yeah,
and it's crazy. I was actually my friend had a
nonprofit called Makeover Your MS and I was part of
that on the board for her. But when we come back,
we have an author joining us, Harold Wilkerson. He's also

(29:19):
a professor. He has a book called It's Beyond Words,
It's the Art of Calculated Communication. This is going to
be a great conversation. We just talked about how you
have to communicate, and that's one of the most important
things when it comes to work, when it comes to friendships, relationships,
how do you communicate? It's way up, turn me up.
Here we go up again.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
This is way up with Angela ye.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
What's up? His way up with Angela yee. And we
have a special treat today. We have Harold Wilkerson here
with us, author of It's Beyond Words, It's the Art
of Calculated Communication.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Yes, yes, yes, thank you for having me. I appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
And just some background on who this person is. We
know you as h O. Some people may know you
as uptown Harry O. Yes, you have a lot of
different aliases, you know, Harold Wilkerson. Is your name from birth?

Speaker 4 (30:06):
Don't really go by it unless I'm Professor Wilkerson. Yeah,
we're talking about the book.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Yeah, Professor Wilkerson. And this is actually a course that
you teach.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Yes, I teach communication courses for a few colleges and
I've been doing that for me about twelve years.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
But aside from that, we also personally know you from
the music business and when I first met you. And
this is going to sound shocking, But you were working
for Fire Festival.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
I was working for a fire Media. Fire Media was
an app in a platform that was created for a
talent acquisition and dealing with different talent in different companies.
And in the process of fire Media rolling out, someone
had an idea to do a festival.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
The Fire Festival put you in any of those documentaries.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
No people reached out for me to be a part
of the documentaries and our decline.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Right now, I'm talking to Professor Harold Wilkerson, the author
of It's Beyond Words, It's the Art of Calculated Communication. Now,
some of what's in this book is you describing what
that was like for you afterward. Because you were in
a space where you were making good money working for
Fire Media, things went left and then you had to
figure out what do I do next? And so what

(31:10):
happened with you?

Speaker 4 (31:11):
When I saw a fire like headed in the terrible direction.
I started telling all the people that I brought in,
as far as companies and different individuals, I started telling
them that maybe we should fall back right now because
I'm not sure exactly where that's going. And I would
talk to you about being a part of the Fire
Festival you.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
But like, yeah, you can fly, and then you were like,
you know what, don't fly out this first weekend. Let's
wait and see.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Right, Yeah, I was for some reason, I just saw
that things were going in the wrong direction. So I'm like,
all right, let me just start pulling people back. So
it was you, it was different companies. I was working
with all these people. I'm like, let's just wait for
a second. And then the inevitable happened and everything went
up in flames. And that same day you said the
words to me. You said something like, you're never going
to be who you're supposed to be unless you take

(31:54):
a chance on yourself. It kind of woke me up.
I said, you know what, it's time for me to
start my own business, birth my company, Chase Republic. So
what I did was, first, well, I went to everyone
that I told not to be a part of it,
and I want to make sure I'm saying to Clair,
I only told people not to be a part of
it when I saw it going in a different direction.
I'm like, listen, maybe we need to fall.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
Back, and it did in bad method. You were just like, no,
I couldn't bab mouth this goes I'll be comfortable once
we this is the first year. It was kind of
like that type of conversation.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
Right exactly. And each company that I spoke to I
ended up doing business later with them. With Chase Republic,
I guess they appreciated the inside. They saw it as
a level of trust with me, and that helped birth
the company.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
All right, as Way Up with Angela Yee and Harold
Wilkerson is here, here's the author of it. Beyond words.
It's the art of calculated communication. All of the skills
that you need to make sure that you network up
and that you know how to communicate in real life
with your partners, with your best friend, with your work relationships.
We got more when we come back. It's way up
this yeah.

Speaker 6 (32:55):
Yeah, more Way Up with Angela on.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
What's up his Way Up with Angela Yee and I
got a friend of mine, Professor Harold Wilkerson, Arthur of
It's beyond words. It's the art of calculated communication. Now,
there's one part of the book where you ask people
what they would have done in this situation. And I
want to discuss this with you now. Is you and
Joe Rule and you guys were at a restaurant and
incomes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Clearly this was a

(33:24):
while ago. Actually, well yeah it was a while ago,
not together any right, but it was last year, and
so Dayla was about to go on tour, and it
had been discussed like behind the scenes of perhaps jo
Rule joining her on tour, but nothing had ever came
out of it. But then you guys ran into each other,
right now, your idea was what.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
It was me joh and I got hurt. So they
walk in and they come over and it was real
pleasant to say hello everything. Everybody shake hands and laugh
or whatever. So they go sit down at a disc
where we could see them. Now at this time, I
know that there were talks between Jah joining them on
the road, but those two love We spoke to one another.
Everyone else was speaking to each other, and they just

(34:03):
couldn't come to terms for whatever reason. So I leaned
over to Job and say, listen, this is what we
should do. Let's pay for their meal we leave, You're
gonna cover their meal. In theory, my idea was, if
you cover the meal, if she's and he shows any gratitude,
she has to call you personally to say thank you. Now,
the line of communication between you two are open. Now

(34:23):
you guys can start talking about business. Let's open up
that door. These are the strategies of communication that I
talk about in the book. That's what I would have done,
but it didn't happen. John made a great point. He
made a great point. That's why I ask someone as
what would you do? He said, I don't know. I
think it may be kind of disrespectful for a group
of three men at the table to pay for lunch
for a husband and wife, like she's there with her husband.

(34:45):
So I don't want to be disrespectful. So I said,
I ain't no problem. I can't argue it. I've looked at
it a little bit differently, but it was a good point.
So I asked, and I've written the book, tell me,
how would you have done it?

Speaker 3 (34:56):
I think that's a good question of what would you
have done in a situation like that? Depending on the
guy's ego, it can be taken a certain way.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
It definitely can be.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Right now, I'm talking to Professor Harold Wilkerson, the author
of It's Beyond Words. It's the art of calculated communication.
If people want to, like sign up for a class,
can they or is this.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Actually, I'm working on starting my own program because yes,
I teach you how to college at a university, right,
so you want to go to the college to get
my class. Fine, But I'm partnering with death Jam. Oh,
and we're going to have these entrepreneurial communication courses. I
think we start in September. And okay, the program is
called the Corner Office, and the book is going to
be like the textbook for the course with death Jam.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
It makes sense, and he does tell a deaf Jam
story in here.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
Yeah, he went to go meet with somebody who's in
AKA and he were pink and green.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
That's the part about the calculated communication, right. So all right,
this woman is a AKA and I need to build
a relationship with her somehow, someway, I need a point
of introduction. So I knew and heard I did some
research that is a aa AKA pink and green. So
what I did was I wore something pink and green,
and when I was in the person presence, all I
needed was her to say, oh, nice colors and nice

(36:05):
That's all I needed. That was the introduction. Now I'm
going in for the kill.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
See a show, don't play. He's a he pledged aka,
just to get that deal done. But this book is
available now. It's Beyond Words. It's the art of calculated communication.
To make sure you guys pick this up. They can.
Where can they buy it?

Speaker 4 (36:24):
They can buy it on Amazon.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
That's hi, buddy.

Speaker 4 (36:25):

the search engine, just put it. It's Beyond Words by
Herold Wilkerson and everything else.

Speaker 3 (36:31):

He said, I would have sent it to you. I said, no,
we support it. We buy the book. It matters, So
it matters. Y'all get the buck.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
She's a dope person. She's been supporting from day one.
So appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
