Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are now Angela what I call her?
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Ye Hey, it's way up with Angela.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yee.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
My good friend I Kim Witch is here with me today.
Guess how sinks back again.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Back again?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
And you know what we got. We got some special
guests joining us today because it is a Wealth Wednesday,
but health is wealth. So Coach Jesse is going to
be here today and we got two guests that are
going to be joining her, and we're going to be
talking about fibraids. It is Fibrard Awareness Month. I don't
know if you saw what Lapita and Niongo was talking
about her fibraids and the issues that she had with
(00:41):
them and finding out that she had fibraids and having
to have them removed. But you know, it's always an
ongoing conversation, so I'm always here to uplift that conversation
because I know how crippling fibrais can be for a person,
and I know how you can get misdiagnosed. I know
there's a lot of different ways you can deal with it.
So we'll be having that health as wealth conversation today.
(01:02):
All right, Well, let's get the show started with some
love and some positivity. What's today's date, July sixteenth. We're
already halfway through. The time is going by, Time is
flying well. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Call us up, let us know who you want to
shine a light on. That's eight hundred to nine two
fifty one fifty. It's way up a shine amine.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Turn your lights on, y'all lights spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Hina, light on, shine a light on.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
It's time to shine a light on.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
It's way yea puty angela ye, I'm here with a
keen woods. You know, we'd like to shine a light
on all things real estate. I love real estate, and
today I saw this article on Black Enterprise on Marcus Bouro.
He's a Haitian entrepreneur. He has launched Tom and T
a m A n. It's a thirty million dollar luxury
(01:55):
real estate development that is going to be in Puntakana,
which is a major tourist destination. When you ask people
where should I invest if you want to buy something
in the Caribbean, a lot of people will say Dominican
Republic is a great investment. A lot of people travel there,
great return on investment. So his real estate project is
going to offer a blend of well being, sustainability and
high quality design. I was reading an article yesterday about
(02:18):
how wellness and also sustainability are really big objectives as
people are looking at real estate in today's day and age.
And there's going to be one hundred and forty four
upskill apartment and it's the first residential project in La
Rinconada to start construction after getting all of the necessary permits.
So shout out to him for that. He said, it's
(02:39):
not just another project in Putakana. It's a demonstration of
our faith and development and it's incredible potential. So shout
out to him for that.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
That's amazing.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
So both Wednesday, how could I not do it? All right,
young Montana, who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 5 (02:52):
I wanted to shine a light Well, you already did
it already, But I just wanted to send a Catholic
birthday to my guy rageous on gaving me my first shot.
Actually didn't have comedy at the Laclaholic, So I just
wanted to shine the light on him. Man adolesses to
him and his family, to all of us in the
comedy world. We're doing close, the original king of comedy
(03:13):
in Brooklyn, Rage John.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
We love you, yeah, so much love to Ray Dejeon
and to his family. That was really my guy. Like,
you know, I met Ray Dejon even before I was
doing radio. We used to go to the same gym
back in the day. So when he opened his club,
I was like, whatever it is that I could do
to support, you know, I was there for that. So
just shout out to him. He's worked with so many
different comedians, definitely, that was like his passion.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
He gave so many young inspiring comedians a shot, and
we're definitely gonna miss him. Brooklyn.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
We love you Ray Yeah, we love you Ray Dejon.
Thank you for calling.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Definitely.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Well that was Shinea Light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
could leave a message in Shine of Light that way,
And when we come back, we have yea yeezee Kim.
There was a lot going on that was negative, nasty.
I want to get into that. Let's start, Let's keep
it positive. Let's talk about Akon. We have an exclusive
with A Kon talking about his Akon city. All right,
(04:08):
is it happening or not? It's way up, they say
in the rooms from industry shade to all.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Of gossip out send Angela's spiling that et.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
It's way up. But Angela, yee, I'm here. A keen
wedge is here guest housing. All right, let's get into
some ET.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Now.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
We do have an exclusive from way up because Akon
was here and that interview is going to air later
this week tomorrow. Okay. So there was a story that
he was building this futuristic city in Senegal. If you
recall that happened back in twenty twenty. He got a
six billion dollar contract to build this cryptocurrency themed city
called Akon City, and according to reports, they gave him
(04:50):
two weeks to begin work or forfeit the land. And
now that land has been forfeited and they're planning to
build their own tourism hot spot there in Senegal. Well,
when I asked Akon about this story, here's what he said.
Speaker 7 (05:04):
Do you know what's happening? Acon City is under attack.
The concept of what this dream means to Africa is
so big that it's shaking up a lot of agendas
in Africa. Anyone that's infrastructed on, anyone that just used
basic common sense knows that it takes twelve months to
maybe fifteen months to build a normal house.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
We're talking about this city.
Speaker 7 (05:23):
City with high end high rises, major structures. Just the
studies alone took two and a half years before construction
even began.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
All right, So that's his you know, explanation. And he
said they can't just take the land from him. He
has the land he owns.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
It wasn't built in today, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Now, Nick Cannon is going to be launching a podcast
where he'll be giving relationship advice. It's called Nick Cannon
at Night.
Speaker 8 (05:48):
What I Love Nick Cannon to Death?
Speaker 1 (05:52):
What Relationship Advice.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Well, he's going to be opening up his personal DMS
and answering written questions from listeners about love, sex, relationships,
and and he'll also be taping this show in front
of a live audience in LA and he'll be bringing
in other experts as well.
Speaker 8 (06:06):
I mean, hey, more power to them. I know he
got to get as many checks as he can, so I'm.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Happy for you.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
And people listen. One thing about Nick Canna, he has
no problem talking about yeah, his life, he does.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
And hey, he's very open to transparent. He's good, he
knows what he's doing. I'm sure it's gonna be a
hip podcast.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
All right. Now, let's talk about the legend that is
rock him. He posted on his social media page. For decades,
I've lived and breathed this culture. Hip hop raised me,
gave me a voice and allowed me to inspire generations.
But I've also seen the struggle. So now he's founded
a company called Notes. He said, it's not just another
fintech company. Notes is about economic freedom for independent urban
(06:47):
music artists and creators. Is built to put money, knowledge,
and power back in the hands of those who make
the culture what it is. So they're doing a financial
foundation powered by AI with cryptocurrency technology. You can stay
into PA. You can own your art, fund your projects,
build real wealth without signing away your future. So he said,
stay inspired, stay empowered. And I think that's a great plan.
Speaker 9 (07:11):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Do it for comedy, yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Oh yeah, you need one for comedy too, Notes for comedy,
all right, that makes sense because there's a lot of
specials that need to get funded that people want to
own their content as well. All right, well, that is
your Yet when we come back, we have about last night.
That's where we discussed what we did last night and
I was outside. I was working, but then I went
to have dinner at a restaurant I've never been to
(07:34):
before in Brooklyn. We'll talk about it outside too.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
So about last night went down?
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with
that Keen Woods.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
And it's not for about last night? What did you
do last night?
Speaker 8 (07:51):
I was outside. I did Gofige podcast. You know, I'm
a regular on that podcast. And then we had on
Sean the Cook, a phenomenal restaurant tour who has an
amazing restaurant in Long in Staten Island and the reservations
are like booked out for the next three months.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
So did you get in there?
Speaker 8 (08:13):
I mean I could, dam we probably get it.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
The food was phenomenal. Look her up. Food's amazing.
Speaker 8 (08:20):
It's like the only two star restaurant in Staten Island,
the only restaurant to get two stars from the New
York Times.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Okay, all right, yeah, Well, speaking of restaurants, I tried
this restaurant in Brooklyn yesterday called Burt Pepper. I'd never
been there before. It was quite good. You said, what
kind of food is it?
Speaker 6 (08:37):
Right?
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Caribbean?
Speaker 2 (08:39):
I know everyone says that to me, They're like, what
kind of food is people?
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I even asked. I was like, oh, I should just assumed.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Yes, I did that. And I also have been filming
this other side project, passion project, and it's called Build
with Ye and it's our.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Real estate and what have you filmed it in Brooklyn?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
No, it's in Manhattan actually at Nest Seekers headquarters. And
so we've actually interviewed the CEO, Eddie Shapiro. We've also
interviewed Bianca de Lecio and she has a book coming
out about just Manifestation, and you know, she's amazing. She's
the top broker in New York and New York City.
And then we also had another woman on Divina and
(09:18):
she has a company called Compassionate Cleaning and she I'm
gonna show you her site, but when I tell you,
she goes into people's apartments, houses and just helps them
clean everything up, and I'm gonna show you what it's
like hoarders kind of, but she does it with compassion
because she also went to school and is a licensed psychologist.
(09:38):
And so a lot of times, yes, a lot of times,
when you see people's places, you know, looking like, oh
what happened here. It's not just that they're dirty or messy.
It's sometimes a mental aspect of it, where people are
struggling with some type of disorder and it's really hard
for them to pull it together and clean up. And
so just seeing the amazing work that she does, she
(09:59):
has to get grant. She has a gofund me. Sometimes
she works with different brands to be able to help
people get their place in order. Okay, that's awesome, Yes,
and so I'm excited to roll that out. I think
next week we start rolling those out. I'm excited about it.
It's a good you know me can't get Yes, they're
going to be quicker be on YouTube. Yeah, all right,
(10:21):
Well when we come back, tell us a secret eight
hundred to nine two call us up. Any secret that
you have that you want to share with us, We
would love to hear it. That's eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty. You know it's a no judgment zone,
so no matter what you got going on, we want
to help heap.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
You will not judge the comment. SECU will judge, but
we won't.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yes, not to your face. Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty call us up and tell us a secret.
Speaker 10 (10:47):
Yo.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
Yeah, this is a judgment freeze on, tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Ooh, it's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here, my guy,
I kem Widz is here Gues hosting with me today.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Hello for our favorite segment.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Oh yes, this is is everybody's favorite and they also
love to hate it. It's time for tell us a secret,
where you get to call us up. You stay anonymous,
and you tell us whatever's on your mind, whatever you've
done that you've never told anybody before, and we don't
judge you.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
We do, but not out loud.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I write eight hundred two ninet two fifty one fifty
anonimous call her, tell us your secret.
Speaker 9 (11:17):
I wanted to tell my wife two secret kids that
you don't know about.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
You have two secret kids?
Speaker 9 (11:23):
Yeah? How old? One of fifteen? One is eighteen?
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Wait? Fifteen and eighteen?
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Was this before her or during her?
Speaker 9 (11:32):
Just as during her I had this relationship. I'm still
with the lady too, so I'm with both of them
at the same time.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Wow.
Speaker 8 (11:38):
Wait, how long have you been with your wife that
you got a fifteen year old and eighteen year old?
Speaker 9 (11:42):
I've been with him over twenty.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Years over twenty years. So the other woman that has
the kids, she was okay with that situation.
Speaker 9 (11:49):
She don't know neither.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Wait, how did.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
You manage to do a little seven life? Were you living?
Speaker 2 (11:54):
How did you manage to do that?
Speaker 9 (11:56):
Well, the type of job I got, I'm always gone.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
I chucked driver.
Speaker 9 (12:00):
They don't know. Uh yeah, I'm like a truck.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Like what he said. I'm not giving you too much information.
So you are you planning to tell both of the
women are just your wife?
Speaker 9 (12:10):
I think I should tell both of them. I think
it's time. The one lives on the west side and
as a girl lives on the east side.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Is this in Detroit? I'm not gonna stay New York,
upstate New York. Okay, New York. Okay, Well, good luck
with that one. That is a huge Who did you
spend holidays with?
Speaker 9 (12:28):
Holidays? I'll be working.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
Kids.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Are those the only two women that you were with
during this period of time or were there others?
Speaker 1 (12:38):
No?
Speaker 9 (12:38):
Just them too. There's too much time.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
So yeah, that's a much stress you.
Speaker 9 (12:42):
Spend holidays, But I'll kind of like break it up.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Are you with the kids, like the are you like
spending time.
Speaker 9 (12:48):
With the kids? Yeah, my kids know me, But I
have five kids with my wife and they don't know
they brothers and sisters.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Why did you decide now is the time that you
want to kind of put it.
Speaker 9 (12:58):
All on the table and they might know each other?
You know, I think it's time.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
They probably do know each other.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
If you're the smartest school together, they.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Probably go to. Yeah, you should definitely let them know.
Speaker 9 (13:10):
She know one of my other daughters, but she don't
know that their sisters, right?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Do they look alike?
Speaker 7 (13:16):
Like?
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Can you tell all my kids look alike? Geesh? Good luck?
What do you think is going to happen? If you
had to predict knowing these women the.
Speaker 9 (13:24):
Way you do, it's going to be problems?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Rightfully?
Speaker 8 (13:28):
So rightfully fifteen eighteen years of geat and it's crazy. O.
Speaker 9 (13:32):
Thank you guys that you think I should do them.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
You're gonna tell them? Yeah, I mean I think it's important.
Like you said, the kids are going to know each other.
At some point, they do a DNA test, they're gonna find.
Speaker 9 (13:42):
Out, they're gonna find out anything.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Yeah, so you're just gonna have to tell them all right, Well,
good luck. Definitely call us back and check back in
no judgment.
Speaker 9 (13:51):
Okay, thank you?
Speaker 2 (13:52):
All right, Well that was a crazy tell us a
secret eight years. That's a long time lying.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
That's so long you're lie an adult, But now you know.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Your kids like they're gonna find out. All right, Well,
there's no judgment from us eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty In case you want to leave
a message and tell us a secret that way, we're
here for you. It's way up when we come back.
We got your y E T. And let's talk about
Emmy nominations. They are in. Let's see if any of
your favorite shows were nominated, and who got the most nominations.
(14:23):
This is a show I've been trying to watch. I've
been watching it on the plane. We'll talk about it.
It's way up show.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
She's about to blow the lid ab off this, but
let's get it.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Oh yeah, Angelus feeling that yet, Come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
It's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here with that.
Keen Woods, what's up. You're like my TV friend too.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Now we do watch shows together.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
As we're talking about these Emmy nominations for twenty twenty five. Now,
the most nominations are for Severan's they have twenty seven nominations,
Jesus and then followed by The Penguin, The Studio and
White Lotus. Now, which of those?
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Have you watched White Lotus?
Speaker 2 (14:58):
We definitely are a White Lotus fans.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Yes, okay, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
I feel like White Lotus got to win some awards
because that's one show that I think across the board
everybody kind of like, has everybody in here watched White Lotus?
Speaker 9 (15:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah, I watched The Pit I haven't seen that.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
What is that about? It's it's about It's about an
er room in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Okay, and that's nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, So you
should also Paradise. I've seen that. Paradise was pretty amazing too.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
I hated it.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
It did.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
I couldn't get into it. I really couldn't get into it.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Oh, I can't wait for the next season Paradise. I
got into it. I'm Outstanding Comedy Series ABB Elementary, which
I love.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
James shouted out to Janelle.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
What I like about AB Elementary is I could rewatch
the episode. Do you know how some shows you see
it once and that's it so fun? The Bear I
didn't know that was a comedy. I don't think it
is that that for a comedy.
Speaker 8 (15:52):
I think that it should be nominated, but I don't
laugh while I'm watching. I think it's a really good show,
but I don't laugh when I watch it. I don't
think it should be nominated as a.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Comedy as hacks. Nobody wants this. Only murders in the buildings,
shrinking the studio and what we do in the shadows.
Now standing television movie Bridget Jones, Mad about the Boy.
I didn't even know they had a bridge. I've watched
Bridget Jones in the past, so I didn't know about this.
I got to catch that. I haven't watched The Gorge,
Mountainhead Nanas and Rebel Ridge, which I've seen. That was good.
(16:20):
If you have a chance to watch Rebel, I mean
it's it's a little fantastical things happen, but basically he
gets framed for something, let's just say that, and the
cops in the town are like against him, and he's
trying to help somebody get up. You gotta watch it.
I don't even want to give it away. Okay, it's
basically him against the entire police department. Let's just say
(16:41):
it that.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
I've seen previews.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
All right, So for everybody that's going to be watching.
By the way, Kendrick got a nomination for his super
Bowl performance and that got four Emmy nominations.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Oh I didn't know you can get nominated for a
super Bowl performance.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Oh yes you can, you know. So shout out to
him for that. And Beyonce could actually also win her
first Emmy. She got a nomination for her NFL Christmas
halftime show.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Dang good for them.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
So yeah, that's just some some little spoilers about what's
going on with these Emmy nominations. But yes, I'm glad
to see because sometimes I see these nominations and I
don't know any of these. But there's a lot of
things that I did watch that are nominated. Dying for
Sex have you seen.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
That I have?
Speaker 9 (17:25):
Not?
Speaker 2 (17:26):
All right, that's a I think that's a cute one.
That was nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series as
long as well as Black Mirror.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Oh, Black Mirror was amazing.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
What I like about Black Mirror is that you could
watch them like out of order.
Speaker 8 (17:37):
It doesn't matter, Yes, I do, except for the except
for the few that will like repeat episode not repeat
but like continuation episodes, but for the most why they're
all stand alone.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
All right, well yeah, so make sure you guys check
out that full list and support and it always gives
you things that you never thought you would want to
watch that maybe you'd be interested in. All right, well
that is your Yet when we come back, we have
under the radar. These are the or is that are
flying under the radar. But you definitely need to know
about him because maybe you don't Fire Festival. Would you
be willing to purchase that brand? Or do you think
(18:09):
it's done?
Speaker 1 (18:10):
It's done, done, done done.
Speaker 8 (18:12):
It's way up the news, news edition, the news that
relates to you.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
It's way up with angela Ye, I'm here with alkem Woods.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
What's up?
Speaker 2 (18:23):
All right, let's go under the raidar. Billy McFarlane. He's
the owner of the Fire Festival. Oh god, he is
now trying Sandwich Festival sell this brand on eBay because
he still owes twenty six million dollars in restitution. He
got convicted for wire fraud, so he's got to raise
some of that money. So now he's put the brand
(18:43):
on eBay. And what do you think it's worth seventeen
cents two hundred and forty five three hundred dollars is
what he has it listed for on eBay. So, yes,
he's been saying that he was gonna do the festival again.
He was trying to plan it. Then he said he
was having it somewhere. Then they said, no, it's not
(19:04):
so looks like it's not happening.
Speaker 8 (19:05):
Who's gonna get duped twice? I mean, I mean, that's
a dumb question. We vote for Trumpet, so never mind
those people who definitely did not. I mean we didn't know,
but like people got duped twice.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
So all right, and now let's talk about something that
is a little airy. This Annabelle Doll. The Conjuring is
one of my favorite series based on a true story.
By the way, we all know the story of Lorraine
and Ed Warren, yes, and how they were able to
go ahead and and battle these spirits, these demonic spirits. Well,
(19:38):
the haunted doll Annabelle has been on tour touring the United.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
States, which is crazy.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
And Dan Rivera, who was a paranormal investigator, has suddenly
died while he was on tour with the doll. He
was found dead in his Pennsylvania hotel room on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Nights and the doll, and the doll was in his
hotel room.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Now, I don't know if the doll was in the room,
but he was on tour with the doll because they
keep it in a glass case. And so the reason
for the case is that nobody's supposed to touch it
and before they move it, they have like a priest
come and you know, bless everything around it and things
like that.
Speaker 8 (20:14):
Yeah, I don't mess with the devil. I'm not even religious,
but like I'm not.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
That's wild.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Now, Lorrain and Ed Warren are real people, and they
have said that doll has a demonic presence attached to her,
and they're doing this whole Devil's on the Run national
tour and so they believe that Dan. According to the
New England Society for Psychic Research, they're saying that Dan,
who died, would have wanted the tour to continue bringing
(20:40):
people together, sharing knowledge, honoring the memory of Ed and
the Rain Warren. And so here is just a little
snippet of some things that have happened in the presence
of Annabelle.
Speaker 11 (20:51):
When he grabs a doll off the couch, throws it
across the carpeting and says, that's such a raggedy on doll.
That can't hurt anybody. When you said that, the psychic
wounds appeared on Lou's chest and stomach like somebody took
a scalpele went and through his white T shirt.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
You can see blood marks.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
That's called psychic wounds.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Hell no, I don't believe that. I don't think that happened.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
What's the movie? But I don't want to see the dog.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
I don't think that happened.
Speaker 8 (21:16):
And if that did happen, I would have burnt the
doll immediately, like.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
That's gonna help you saw the dog do that to
that person, and you're gonna burn the dog, which is
gonna happen to you. I don't know if I would
physically do anyway. They are going to do an autopsy
to find out what happened because we don't know, and
that is your under the radar. We do have the
way up mix at the top of the hour. It's
also a Wealth Wednesday and Fibrid's Awareness Month, So coach
Jesse is going to be here talking about the detas now,
(21:42):
but she also has some guests with her, and we'll
be talking about their fibrid experience. Such an important story.
It's way up.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
She's like the tout, like the Angel Jean like they
Angel Jean Man.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Yeah, it's way yep, but angela. Yeah, I'm here with
my guest host, Aqim Woods. How I'm bailing?
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Were good?
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Were good over here?
Speaker 1 (22:05):
What is going on?
Speaker 9 (22:06):
All right?
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Well, let's get into some of this. Ye see, let's
start with something beautiful. Oklahoma City thunderstar Jalen Williams told
TMG Sports that because of his success on the court,
he's been able to give his parents an amazing gift.
Here is what he said.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
I haven't really had time to take it in. It's surreal.
It happened really fast, like within the span of three years.
My life's completely different.
Speaker 9 (22:29):
You know.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
I've been able to fortun enough to play.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
Guitire my parents.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Yeah, he had is everybody's dream.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
He got a two hundred and eighty seven million dollars
you know, extension to top off his his situation. So
that's a lot of money. Five years.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Yeah, let's be nice, Mom, Dad, Hope you're not listening
because any all right, well, anyway, Shaquille O. New has
some things to say about RG three talking about Angel
Reis because you know, Robert Griffin the Third posted on
social media this has got that there's no place for
racism in this world, whether you like a player or not. Angel,
we should never be called or depicted as a monkey.
(23:08):
But he didn't like the fact. Jack didn't like the
fact that he reposted a racist meme of Angel Reese
on his X page Twitter X.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
You know, same thing.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
I can't just say X. It just sounds weird. So
here's what Chack has to say to RG three.
Speaker 12 (23:22):
RG three tweel another monkey post about my girl, Ajeury
some bunch in your face. You got your job, you
got your podcast. Leave my Angel Reyes alone. I'm the
one calling her and told not to respond. Okay, thank you.
Speaker 8 (23:34):
I mean, people got to stop realizing that a social
media in real life for two different things.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
And you start posting watton for social media, you go
see these.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
People also harassing you know, I mean, it's harassing these
young women who are doing a great job. Biget enough already,
so you don't want to see Yeah, all right, now,
Lapita Neongo has revealed that she had thirty five words
removed in twenty fourteen, and she has also launched a
research granted and Silence around women's pain. You know, we
(24:03):
always talk about this as Fiberriards Awareness Month. We'll be
talking about fibrards today during Wealth Wednesday. And so she said,
when we reach puberty, we're taught that periods mean pain.
We must reject the normalization of female pain. And she
is calling for early education, better screening, robust prevention research,
and non invasive treatment options. So shout out to her.
(24:23):
She said, we deserve better. Silence serves no one. Do
you know about fibrates?
Speaker 8 (24:27):
I do because I have a lot of women friends,
but I've never experienced it obviously.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Well no, yeah, you haven't experience it. But I'm just
saying I think that now there's a lot more conversations
about it. But when you have certain things happening and
you think it's normal, like super heavy bleeding, a lot
of pain during adminstruation and all of that, you know
a lot of times that does indicate that there's something
more wrong, because that is not normal. All right.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
Now.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Paul Pierce was recently on Here's the Truth aft of
Dark Podcast, and he had some things to say about
dating here in the United States and where black men
should be looking to find a significant other.
Speaker 13 (25:03):
Here's what he said, us black men, I'm telling y'all
we need to follow on French Montana steps the States.
Women they don't have the same values as these women oversee.
They value the men. They prioritize they men first. They're
not shaking us on Instagram. If you ain't taking a
girl shopping, if you ain't got no bread, that's almost
impossible to get a girl out here.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
I don't think that's true.
Speaker 8 (25:26):
I just think his algorithm isn't showing him people in
London shaking butt.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Well.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
I also do think that there's plenty of women that
I feel like guys go after a certain type of
women and then they complain about where they're going out
your set. So if that's what you like and that's
who you're following, that's what you're gonna see.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Go to the library, stop going to the club, all.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Right, But that is your yet. And when we come back,
we have ask yee eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty any question you have me? And I
came right here to help. How appropriate is this so
right now for you guys? Okay, talking about what you
deserve and what you're looking for? This about y'all. His
Leon Thomas with his way up.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
With it's relationship or career advice? Angela's dropping facts?
Speaker 2 (26:15):
What's up? His way up? But Angela yee? And I'm
here with my guest host, Aqim Wits what's up? Comedian
extraordinaire especial on the way, and we have Jenney on
the line for ask ye what's up? Jennay?
Speaker 14 (26:26):
Hi, Angela, you got a question for me?
Speaker 2 (26:28):
And Akim?
Speaker 6 (26:29):
Yes?
Speaker 14 (26:30):
So, I've been dating the sky for about six months.
He told me he loved me, which I think is
my like pasthline to like really let him into my
life since then?
Speaker 11 (26:39):
Right?
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 14 (26:41):
I farted in front of him.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Okay, he loves you though.
Speaker 14 (26:43):
And that's what I thought. But now he's acting a
little funny. He looked disgusted.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Was it bad happened?
Speaker 14 (26:51):
I mean all of them are bad.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
His some fire said, are not like that bad?
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Was it loud?
Speaker 14 (26:56):
It was loud?
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Did he say anything?
Speaker 14 (26:59):
You can see the cringe on his face.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Stuff. But we're all adults. That's how the human body works.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Well, why didn't you say anything about it? Did you
say like, excuse me?
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Ooo Oh?
Speaker 14 (27:10):
I just started laughing and I was like, oh, okay,
it's not a big deal to me, but clearly it
bothered him, and I don't know how to move forward.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Wait, how long have you been dating?
Speaker 2 (27:18):
You said six months?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Six months? Oh, yeah, he's being he's a baby.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
But are you sure that's what it is?
Speaker 14 (27:25):
Yeah? I can't think of anything else.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Well, you need to ask him, like, did it bother you?
That messed it up?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Fighting?
Speaker 2 (27:31):
You've been acting weird since Sometimes a direct approach is
the best, and like, what is going on? You know
what I'm saying? You got it, but you have to
bring it up and ask. Okay, that's the only way
to know and listen, I think like fighting in front
of somebody, there's been numerous studies about how that is,
Like when.
Speaker 8 (27:50):
You know you're at that point, Yeah, so that you're
comfortable with it, with where you guys are and everything
like that.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Yeah, No, I agree to Angel.
Speaker 8 (27:56):
You have to just sit down with him and be like, hey, listen,
what's going on on?
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Why are you being weird about my gas? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (28:02):
They said that's actually good for your relationship. I mean,
does he not know that like you do that? Does
he know that you have you gone to the bathroom
and like done a number two in his place or
while he's there at yours?
Speaker 14 (28:14):
I have, but I don't think. I don't know. It's
never been like a conversation, so I don't know if
he's even.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Also, I think that's just stupid. Like men, grown men
should know women do the same thing we do.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
You know what you need to do? Eat some beans
when y'all go to bed, fart and put the covers
over his head.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Yesing them.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Sometimes you got to just really likes.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
All of nothing, go all in like this is poker play,
all in.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Okay, all right, and they be like does this bother you?
Does this bother you?
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Good for good luck?
Speaker 6 (28:45):
Both?
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yes, good luck, thank you, thank you. But that was
asked ye eight hundred two nine two fifty. Just in
case you couldn't get through, you can leave a message
and we'll help you out, just like we helped her out.
Fighting should be elevating your relationship to the next level.
All right. When we come back, it is a wealth
Wednesday and health is wealth. So we do have coach
to Jesse from the detox. Now she'll be joining us.
(29:08):
It's also Fibroids Awareness Month, so we do have a
special guest, Selina Martin joining us as well, and she's
going to talk about her journey with fibroraids. It's way up.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Had a dream of.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
Wealthy and I don't mind sharing my wealth dog getting
you straight financially, mentally and physically.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
This is Wealth Wednesday on Way Up with Angela.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Yee, what's up? Its way up with Angela yee. Oh,
look at who's here. My sister friend, coach Jesse is
here with me today. And you know, July is fibrards
Awareness month, and this year it got even more real
and in an exclusive new interview with NBC's zinc A Smoa,
Venus Williams open up for the first time about her
thirty year painful battle with fibraids.
Speaker 15 (29:47):
Fibroids are, for those who may not know, non cancerous
tumors that occur in and around the uterus and can
actually vary in size, location and quantity and cause symptoms
like heavy bleeding, painful periods, bloading in for two, lily bloating.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
And more.
Speaker 15 (30:01):
Five words effect forty to eighty percent of all women,
and then when it comes to black women, it's two
to three times, which you know is up to ninety
percent by age fifty.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
That is a huge, huge.
Speaker 15 (30:13):
Contingent of people being affected by five words. And you know,
she revealed in her interview within Clay that even before
winning her sixth doubles match with Serena, she says, she
was laying on the floor in the locker room and
thank god, Serena, she says, got the doctor and she
was able to get up and eat and start playing.
And the crazy thing is she went undiagnosed for decades
(30:35):
until twenty sixteen.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
And the only.
Speaker 15 (30:38):
Treatment option we already heard, which we already know, was
a hysterectomy. Right, So many women, I want you to
know that you are not alone and you have options, right,
And she did turn down that hysterectomy, yes, but she
did then take prescription painkillers.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yup, That's how she managed it. Right Now, I'm with
my partner for the detax Now coach Jesse, for Wealth Wednesday,
and we're discussing fibroids and what you need to know
about it and how detoxing can help you out. But
you know, all of these reasons of what we've been
discussing is why we have this detox lifestyle and the
Detox Now lifestyle. And of course, Coach Jesse, because this
(31:14):
is a system that you developed, Yes, and you know
I've been there with you from day one, Yes, day
literal one. But this is the blueprint for better health
and vibraid freedom.
Speaker 15 (31:22):
But how about we now also spotlight the multi factors
that we know impact fibroids, right, such as the vitamin
D deficiency, which we know there's so many studies around
and we break it down. You could look at the
studies in my book and Fibroids Manual and God the
hormone balance that we know is connected to it that
is affected by hormone disruptors and the environment and the
(31:44):
products and the foods, right, and then the chronic information
and guess what, Black women are disproportionately affected by those things,
and that's why we experience fibroids differently.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
I do want to keep this movement because you know,
we do have incredible results, and I'm always excited I
see people's testimonials. It means a lot to me, and
I know it means a lot to them.
Speaker 15 (32:04):
So the foundation of it is the lifestyle, right, So
let's talk about the lifestyle real quick because I'm so
excited about bringing these testimonies on. So the lifestyle we
talk about is detox, balance and prevent Okay, Detoxing is
resetting your body through targeted fasting.
Speaker 14 (32:20):
All right.
Speaker 15 (32:21):
And then once you now have reset your body with
the proper detox, which.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
We're about to do our next challenge next week, y'all.
So if you're not ready, get your details kit. Let's
get it.
Speaker 14 (32:31):
We have so many amazing testimonies.
Speaker 15 (32:33):
Okay, sidebar, she couldn't come, but there was a sister
who just lost thirty four pounds. She did it for
ten days and better yet, she regulated her blood pressure,
which she was in her hospital three times because of
nearly fatal blood pressure. Anyway, So the second part in
the lifestyle is balance. Once you've cleared your body, you're
(32:53):
balancing your hormones. Use it in targeted supplements and lifestyle
to shrink fibroys, help your body regulate your cycles, help
reduce symptoms naturally, and if you need surgery, incorporating that
as well as the lifestyle, because it's not either or right.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
You can do both you can supplement both right.
Speaker 15 (33:10):
And then once you have balanced your life. It's about
prevention cultivating a lifestyle, a proactive lifestyle of wellness.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Coach Jesse is here from thedetaxnow dot com and when
we come back, we're talking about the detax Now and
we have a guest joining us who actually did the
detox Now and it helped her with her fibroids. We'll
talk about her journey. It's way up.
Speaker 8 (33:32):
I had a dream of PLF wealthy and I don't
mind sharing my wealth dog.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Getting you straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
What's up? Its Way Up with Angela Yee. It's Fibrids
Awareness Month. We have Coach Jesse here from the detax
Now and we also have a special guest joining us,
Selena Martin. She actually did the detox Now program and
has her own testimony.
Speaker 15 (33:55):
Selena was told she needed surgery for her fibroids. Her
largest one was nine point one centimeter.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Listen, please tell me what happened last year.
Speaker 6 (34:05):
I got pregnant after about two years of trying with
my husband, and then suddenly they lost my baby. So
I went to the doctor trying to get answers on
what I needed to do for conception, and instead found
out that I had a nine point one centimeter five
and like I didn't even really feel it, Like I
didn't know I had.
Speaker 15 (34:25):
This in me and that's big. That's about the size
of a large orange.
Speaker 6 (34:28):
And the doctor was like, you need to hurry up
and have a surgery as soon as possible or you
might not be able to have children. So I felt
really discouraged, but my husband felt very strongly that there
was a natural way to combat this. We did do
some research, we looked into different options, and that's when
my mom connected me to coach Jesse and she let
me know that I had options, right and I believe.
Speaker 14 (34:51):
And if you wanted to have you know, I was
connected to doctor p Yes to.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
The best, the best, and I really did.
Speaker 6 (34:57):
I respected that too, because it made me feel like, Okay,
she's not just forcing in particular you are going to.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
Go to a doctor. We want you to go to
somebody that's going to do an amazing job exactly.
Speaker 6 (35:08):
And so after a lot of prayer, a lot of
consideration and listening to my husband, I started the detox.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Now right now, I'm with my partner for the detax
now coach Jesse for Wealth Wednesday, and how was it?
Speaker 6 (35:20):
Honestly, it was so much easier than I expected. My
biggest motivator is results. And within the first two weeks
of doing the detox Now, I noticed my body just
felt better. Well, so, anyway, I went back to the
doctor after about six weeks and when I got the ultrasound,
the doctor's like, okay, so you have a fibroid and
(35:41):
it is four centimeters said way, excuse me, Will you
say that again? She said four centimeters inside. And this
was a different doctor. I don't know if I would
be where I am today had it not been starting
this health journey in this way. Because oh, now I'm
about to get a mooshow because it's not just a
fibroids drinking.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
That I'm celebrating today.
Speaker 14 (36:03):
I found out a few weeks ago that I'm pregnant.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
That's amazing. Wow, congratulations.
Speaker 14 (36:14):
Yes, if my family friends are listening, I didn't tell you.
Speaker 6 (36:18):
Yeah, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
I got to heart the heartbeat last week. Ever, you
saw the heartbeat last week.
Speaker 14 (36:27):
Last week, I.
Speaker 6 (36:28):
Saw my baby's heart beat and it was a strong heartbeat,
and it was such a beautiful, surreal experience. And I
just think if I had gone with the surgery instead
of taking the step of faith and trying this out,
I might not be.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Here to you, still on your way on this journey
most likely.
Speaker 14 (36:45):
So I'm to say I'm thankful.
Speaker 6 (36:47):
Understatement, I just have anyone listening. If you don't hear
anything else that you hear, you have options.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Oh my guys, we congratulations, I thank you. This is
what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Amazing.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
This is something that also with these detoxes, it really
does help, like everything, your hair, your the growth of everything,
your skin, your gut, yeah, everything, yeah, right, And we
are It's five Words Awareness Month, it is Fibers Awareness Month,

Hey, Angela, I got a secret that I want to say.
Me and my friend was having relations with her man,
and now me and her man are having relationship relations
without her, and I don't want to stop.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
I would like to.
Speaker 10 (39:22):
Shine a light on a girl named Kirsten Billings. She
has been through a lot lately. In twenty twenty two,
she was diagnosed with most school square roses at the
age of seventeen, and everybody at her school started bullying.
Speaker 9 (39:36):
Her then she went to college. Everybody in her college started.
Speaker 10 (39:39):
Bullying her because of that disease. Now she gave verse
with no epidiral, all natural, and she gave her to
a beautiful baby girl named Klinie.
Speaker 4 (39:51):
Going way out, turning out with Angela Yee
