Speaker 1 (00:01):
You are not.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
And what I call him, Well, it's way up at
Angela yee, and today is a Monday. When I tell you,
this weekend was not a RESTful one. I was shout
out to everybody in Detroit. I was there for Afro Future.
(00:25):
Then I came back on the early morning. I but
getting out was crazy and I'm main O Day. I
had to make sure I was Hereka Maino Day. That
was yesterday. Now I want to point out Maino said
he was coming in today to my producer, I could
have told you that wasn't gonna happen because I was
with Mano last night and then after that he had
an after party after the main O Day after party.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
There was a lot going on.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Dan, I don't know why you thought Mana was gonna
make it here today.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
He jumped out the whip.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I don't know what to say, but just going for
the record.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
But anyway, I got a shout out to my girl
Amanda Sells today too, man watching her do this whole
conversation against twelve black conservatives. I think it's twelve. Anyway,
We're gonna talk about that shortly. But don't forget ye
day is happening. This weekend from twelve noon until five
pm outside the Barclays Center part of Planet Brooklyn.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Make sure y'all show up.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
It's absolutely free, and let's shine a light when we
come back. Eight hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty.
Let us know who you want to show some love to.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
We gonna luck up a turn your lights on, y'all,
light spreading love to those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Shine a light on, Shine a light on.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
It's time to shine.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
A light on them all right as way up at
Angela yee and you know what time and it's time
to shine a light. And this story was fascinating to me.
They're doing this series called My First Job in Fashion,
and today I want to shine a light on Botega
Venetta's first design director. His name is Edward Buchanan, by
the way, also a black man, and he was fresh
(02:01):
out of fashion school. He went to Parsons, which was
like the It's school for designers. He graduated top of
his class, but still couldn't get the job you know
that he wanted. He was doing like visuals, which means
that you work in there designing the clothes on the mannequins.
And he ended up being the person that actually was
the first ever designed director for the fashion line for
a Botega Venetta. Before that they were doing just bags,
(02:24):
and he heard that Botega was going to go ahead
and hire somebody to actually do their first line of clothing,
and he ended up getting that job. They had never
offered clothes in all their history. He put together that
collection as a black man, and now he's part of
their campaign. So shout out to Edward Buchanan from Botega Vanetta.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's a full circle moment.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
The first ever designed director is now appearing in their
latest campaign. All right, now, Curtis, who do you want
to shine a light on.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yeah, I want to shine a light on my daughter, Miracle.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
Oh may a birthday was this Sunday.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Congratulations on her and being the wonderful daughter, my only daughter,
and I love her.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
She's ten years old. Okay, Miracle.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I want to know the story behind why you guys
named her Miracle.
Speaker 7 (03:12):
Because I thought I was able to have a baby
and then she just popped up.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
Oo.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
I know that's right.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
He's my miracle baby.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
All right, Well, thank you for colling, Curtis, and happy
birthday Miracle.
Speaker 7 (03:23):
Thank you well.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
That was Shina Light eight hundred and two nine two
fifty one fifty and let's keep it going when we
come back, and yee tee, let's talk about Amanda Sales
on Jubilee doing this twenty conserved black conservatives versus one
that's versus her and she literally had to battle all
these people. We got a couple of highlights for you.
It's way up, This.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Says soothing the rooms from industry shade to all the
gossip out Angela's feeling that yet it's.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Way up at Angela, yee, and it is time for
your yee t all right.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Tianna Taylor, according to US Weekly, has to pay her
ex husband Emon Shumpered, seventy thousand dollars because she allegedly
violated that divorce order willfully by spilling prohibited information that
was in an Instagram video that was posted on March nineteenth. Now,
she tried to argue that Emon Shumpered himself leaked details
to the press, but the court was not convinced about that.
(04:18):
Sean Kingston has been sentenced to three and a half
years in prison for that one million dollar fraud scheme
after being convicted in South Florida so that is quite
unfortunate for him. He and his mother were arrested in
May twenty twenty four. A swat team actually rated his
mansion that he rented in Fort Lauderdale and they were
taken into custody during the raid. So, you know, three
(04:39):
and a half years. All right, Now, let's talk about
Amanda Seals. She did this whole twenty versus one. That
was twenty black conservatives versus her. This is on Jubilee
and it's called surrounded. And here is kind of a
summary of the claims that Amanda Sales.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Is debating on this.
Speaker 8 (04:58):
My first claim is it is undeniable that reparations are
just and necessary. My next claim is that black on
black crime is a result of under investment and over policing.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
My next claim is systemic racism.
Speaker 8 (05:10):
Isn't a theory, it's our lived reality, backed by data
and history. My final claim is black conservatism fails to
meet the needs of the working class.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
You know, it's interesting because when you look at what
it's called, right, it's called one black radical versus twenty
black conservatives. I don't know that I consider this to
be quote unquote radical. I feel like when people use
the word radical. That alone makes people feel like she's
saying something wild. Now Here was one of the debates
that were had during this episode to hour and thirty
(05:40):
minutes on Jubilee, and this is her talking about the
music industry. She's arguing with a black conservative where he's
basically saying that it is black people pushing this narrative,
is what we're consuming and what we're putting out there.
And you know a lot of people will say hip
hop promotes violence, it promotes misogyny.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Well, here is what that argument sounds like. Look at
what we glorify. Who's who.
Speaker 8 (06:05):
Controls the distribution of these sources of media and who
takes and who takes it in listen, if you're okay,
so you put it in this context. If I have
a company and you guys are my employees, and I
determine what you get to eat every day, that's also
going to determine how you exist in this company.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
All right, So you know, a great time. I was
very frustrating to watch.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
So I got to give it up for Amanda Seals
for even putting herself in that position, because I know
a lot of people would have lost their mind, but
she kept it cool. I actually texted her about it
over the weekend and she said, you know, it was
really just about having these debates with people who have
a different point of view than you do. And she said,
towards the end, though, she felt like they came to
(06:52):
some type of understanding, and part of it was she
was getting interrupted a lot. And here is another clip
where she had to explain what happened in a debate.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Well, here's what you.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
All keep doing when I'm talking, and you don't want
to hear the point that I'm going to make, and
yet you want me to respect your point, and that's
not how a debate works. If I show you respect,
give me the respect back. I knew I was gonna
be surrounded by ignorance, but damn all right, Well that
was Yet.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
When we come back, we have about last night, where
we discussed what we did last night. I told you
I am struggling today. Mano is struggling so much he
didn't even show up. We'll talk about its way up here,
some little baby.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
So about last night, Yes, I went down, all.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Right, it's way up with angela ye, and it is
time for about last night. Man So, first thing that
happened for me is I was in Detroit for a
couple of days for Afro Future, So shout out to
them for Afro Future being in Detroit. When I tell you,
it was an amazing time that we had out there
and so many things going on. But of course I
(08:00):
went to one of my favorite restaurants out there, Fixings,
and then I went to a brand new restaurant that
literally opened the week before. It is called Baru, and
there was an event that was happening there but also
shut out to Damien. He actually owns a flower shop,
and they left some flowers from his shop on the
table there for us, So that was a beautiful thing.
(08:20):
But thank you to everybody who was there over the weekend.
And then I had to fly back because I needed
to make sure that I had a chance to go
to Maino Day. And when I tell you, Mayno Day
was a time I left my house I want to
say around three o'clock and didn't get home till maybe
like ten o'clock. But fortunately for me, being a person
(08:41):
that lives in Brooklyn, everything was walkable. But what I
loved was seeing the whole community outside. I mean Mayno
was shut it down a few blocks. It was all
free activities for the kids.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Outside.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Fab was there, Nick Bucks was there, everybody came out.
When I tell you, Brooklyn was outside. It was just
a beautiful thing to see, peaceful. There was a slight thunderstorm,
and then I was at coffee uplifts. People shout out
to DJ Nick Seal, who's here tired on the boards today,
because he was outside with us too.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
But that was my whole weekend. I had a good time.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Angela Yu Day is coming up on Saturday, so it's
gonna be another weekend of activities.
Speaker 8 (09:17):
And that was that.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
But when we come back, it's time for tell us
a secret. Now, you know what tell us a secret
is all about.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
You call us up.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Eight hundred nine two fifty one fifty. And remember this
is a no judgment zone. You are anonymous, So even
if I wanted to judge you, or anybody else wanted to,
they don't even know who you are. You call us
up anonymously, You tell us a secret, something you've never
shared with anybody before, and we don't judge you, and
we love that about us.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
All right. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Call us up. You'll be having some wild secrets. But
who doesn't?
Speaker 2 (09:49):
All right, So again that's eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. Call us up, tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
He be as way up with Angela yee, and it's
time for it. Tell us your secret. That's when you
call us up. You're anonymous and it's a no judgment zone.
Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. What's up, anonymous?
Speaker 9 (10:11):
Call it?
Speaker 3 (10:11):
Tell us your secret.
Speaker 10 (10:12):
My figret is I'm having affair with my best friend.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Hug baby. How long y'all been best friends?
Speaker 10 (10:20):
We've been best friends for about sex?
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Okay, how did this even start?
Speaker 10 (10:24):
First of all, they recently just got there. But one
day we had a girl's night and we had another
whole seal and we had both of our partners there.
So her partner ended up leaving, which is currently her husband.
But Dan, I went to go take a shower and
I come back and she was having sex with my man.
What yes, So what I did? I told her man
(10:46):
about it or whatever. Then we end up putting up
and we've just been on on and off for about
a year maybe.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
So wait, that's still your best friend after you caught
her having sex with your man.
Speaker 10 (10:58):
I mean, I got my payback. That's how I feel
about it.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
This don't sound like best friend behavior, you know.
Speaker 10 (11:04):
Yeah, I'm consider her in our friends. And then oh,
another thing. She's also offered to have a three zome
with my man, the same one she's slept with, which
is super weird.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
So you're still with your man, but you're just sleeping
with her husband.
Speaker 10 (11:19):
No, so my man at the time, I'm not with
him anymore.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
I completely recall the mom Do you want her husband?
Speaker 9 (11:25):
No, I do not.
Speaker 10 (11:27):
She s one of my men though when I had him.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Do you want her to know about this?
Speaker 10 (11:33):
I mean, if she hears it on the radio, she will.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Okay, all right, Well again this is a no judgment zone.
Thank you for calling. Hey, Well, that was tell us
a secret. That was a doozy good thing. Mata wasn't
here anyway.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
If you still want to tell us a secret, eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty is a number
you can always call us up and tell us a
secret that way.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
And when we come back, we have your eet and.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Let's talk about Offset and his song, move on and
closing his relationship with Cardi B. He sat down with
the Associated Press, but give you the details.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Its way out.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Sure she's about to blow the lead ab off this,
but let's get it. Oh yeah, angelus building that yee
te Come.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
And get the tea, all right?
Speaker 2 (12:12):
His way up at Angela yee and it is time
for your yee t. Offset is talking about his upcoming
song move On. He sat down with the Associated Press.
He has been doing some press lately, hasn't he. And
here's what he had to say about this song.
Speaker 11 (12:26):
It's about moving on peacefully. It's all of ended up
with the album, just like just to end that chapter
because it's like, just move on, like it's over and
done where it was great. That shouldn't be the topic
for me to one of us. More, it's a book
that's closed.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
It's hard for it to not be a topic though.
I mean, they were all in the press. The drama
is playing out all over the place, you know, so,
but time does actually heal all wounds. I do feel
like that, and I really really hope that they'll be
able to co parent together. That would be the ideal situation.
All right, Now, let's talk about first week numbers for
Gunna's album, The Last One. This is his seventh top
(13:04):
ten album, the Last One, and you know they're saying
this is the last album that he actually has to have,
so yeah, under yasl so hopefully for him that's true.
And according to reports, eighty thousand equivalent album units in
the United States for its first week of release. So,
you know, shout out to gun I kept on pushing
(13:26):
and things are still happening for him all right now.
Wendy Williams is also still pushing and she is now
talking about this guardianship. She was out on the town
because there's new updates on her diagnosis. I see a
lot of different stories. You know, people reported that her
recent test results showed that she does still have dementia
(13:46):
and aphasia, and they also have legal documents about that.
But she's still in high spirits and you know, she
still is working with her attorneys to get out of
this guardianship.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Here's what she had to say, Alibriachi, than to your
medical report that does hould up the dementia diagnosis.
Speaker 8 (14:06):
No, and my attorneys are highly upset and I will
get Adam Boyensha.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
All right well, praying for her, But again, like I said,
this is something that needs to be examined, even more
as people are watching Wendy William's story and what's happening
to her. We watch Britney Spears and her guardianship and
all of those things. So I don't know if there's
a way to protect yourself and I don't know if
a trust, but definitely something you need to talk about
if you have assets and later in life.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
No one expects this to happen, all right.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Clarissa Shields was recently on social media and she's always
posting videos of herself, her clothes, her dancing, everything going
on in her life. She said, ain't nobody bullying me
into ish? My body is perfect, so is my face,
my lips and all. I'm not getting nothing done for
validation from mfs who wouldn't send me a dead flower
if I was in the hospital bed. It's called very
(14:54):
secure hashtag Clarissa Shields hastag quote. I mean, I love
that message because you know, I do feel like.
Speaker 9 (15:05):
She is.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
When I've seen Clarissa Shields fight and see her in person,
she's amazing. But y'all be bullying her online. Not y'all,
but some people do.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
And so I love that she can put that out
there that she's very secure, she's not going to change
and think about herself.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
I second that.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
All right, well that is your yet when we come
back under the radar, these are the stories that are
not necessarily in the headlines. They are flying under the radar,
but you definitely mean to know about them. So much
going on right now that we got to talk about
I know, I had a crazy weekend, but you know,
it doesn't stop. We'll talk about MSNBC has a new
name because you know they're no longer with NBC. We'll
discuss its way up.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
No news this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Yeah, it's why y'all put angela. Yeah, it's time for
these under the radar stories. So MSNBC is no longer
affiliated with NBC. So now they have a new name
and no more of that peacock logo as part of it.
So get ready for that. It's just ms now, no
more NBC as part of that name.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Now HBCUs.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
There's a push now to establish HBCUs outside of the South.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
You know, Detroit has one now.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Pennsol Lewis and HBCUs, just for history's sake, were first
established in the mid to late eighteen hundreds. That's when
there was legal segregation in the South that prevented black
students from enrolling in existing colleges and schools in the
North and post quotas on the number of black students
who could attend. So that was the primary means of
providing a college education to black people today. That's why
(16:36):
you see a lot of HBCUs located in the South.
Well right now they are talking about doing some satellite campuses,
perhaps in Boston and San Francisco and places like that,
so that could be something that's really exciting. And Kobe
Bryant and Michael Jordan basketball cards are expected to sell
for six million dollars. It's a bidding war over a
(16:58):
one of a kind Michael Jordan and co Briyant basketball
card that's expected to sell.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
Dan, do you have basketball cards?
Speaker 4 (17:05):
I do, but I actually look them up. None of
them are really work with anything. Pokemon cards though, that's
where it's at.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
And you have some of those, I have all of
the original Imagine paying six million dollars, you think that
will really retain its value or be worth more.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
The way the card market is going, it does seem
like it it's crazy, the trading cards.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I don't understand how it works. Ye, That's why I'm like,
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
There's certain brands that have certain levels of like exclusivity,
which make it ridiculously rare, and also like rookie cards
are like crazy right now?
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Okay, all right?
Speaker 2 (17:34):
And Phil Knight, who is the co founder and chairman
of Nike, made a record breaking donation. He and his
wife Penny gifted two billion dollars to the Oregon Health
and Science University's Night Cancer Institute. The plan is to
invest in cancer research, diagnosis, treatment, care, and someday eradication.
So that's the largest donation a US educational institution has
(17:55):
ever received. And the Cambridge Dictionary has added some words.
All right, they have over six thousand new words.
Speaker 6 (18:04):
Now.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
One of those words is delulu. I like that word.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
I hate it why because it's like a social media word.
It's not real, it's it is.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Now, it is now?
Speaker 6 (18:14):
Now?
Speaker 3 (18:15):
What is trad wife? I've never heard that word, but it's.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
Short for like traditional wife, like that cooks, cleans, you know,
stay at home mom.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Like why?
Speaker 2 (18:23):
David Justice didn't want to marry Halle She didn't want
to stay married to Halle Berry. She's not a tradwife, correct,
all right? And then also skibbyty, skibbity, skivvity. Kids are
saying skivvity.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (18:36):
I thought it was like, like, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
It could be very or it could be bad, or
it can be used with no real meanings. So it's
kind of a joke. There you go, all right, you
like the kids nowadays? Skibbitty. I was like, ski beaty,
all right, Well, those are some of the new words
that have been added. But again there's six thousand new words,
and that is your under the radar. We do have
the yee tea more on the way also ask yee
(18:59):
and the way up mixed at the top of the hour.
Happy Monday, guys, let's wake it up. Wait wait, she's
like to talk like.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
They angela Jean, like they angela Jean Man, She's spilling
it all this is yet well.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
All right, his way up at angela Ye and it's
time for you're yet so Colin Kaepernick, that documentary was
an aport docuseriies about him that Spike Lee was directing
for ESPN.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Films has now been canceled.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
It was supposed to be on ESPN, and apparently the
network confirmed on Saturday that there were some creative issues.
According to the statement that ESPN put out, ESPN, Colin
Kaepernick and Lee have collectively decided to no longer proceed
with this project as a result of certain creative differences.
Here is what Spike Lee had to say when he
(19:52):
was asked by Ruters about this documentary.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Is it finished not.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Calling out that.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
It's not coming on ESPN, or it's a lot coming out?
Arry it's out your decision. Then I signed an out
disposure and I can't talk about it.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
So the documentaries was supposed to revisit the timeline that
bought Colin Kaepernick to national attention. Well, y' all know
with the kneeling with the NFL, and I guess we'll
not going to have a chance to see it.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
He'd noticed.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
He didn't even say it's just not happening on the ESPN.
He just said it's not coming out and that was
all he can say about it all right now. Memphis
Bleak in the meantime recently talked about jay Z and
some new music and here's what he had to say
about new music.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Yo, he just came out on the show and they
went stupid. I said, listen, I know you're working saved
me a verse. He's like, all right, I got you,
so if it happens, happened, but let's sendas Aroma and
they did.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
But it looks like he is working on some new music.
And speaking of new music, Sissy has this fenceta that
she uses. It's so funny to me that it's a
fence stand. We all know it's in her account. She's
okay with that. But she also put out two new
song snippets on that fence to page. One is called
let you Know.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Sounds good. I like it and I'm excited for some
new scism music.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
And the second snippet that she put out is untitled,
so you guys can go on her fens to and
check that out. In other news, it looks like Freddie
Gibbs and Benny the Butcher have buried the hatchet. They
were spotted talking to each other at an airport in Paris,
and now fans are saying that things have been squashed.
So I'm not sure there's all these rumors when it
comes to the whole Griselda team about different beefs and
(21:35):
things like that. But like Conway the machine said, you
know you get to drinking, things happen, but who knows.
All right, Well, that is your yee t And when
we come back we have asked yee. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty is the number. Of course,
as you know, any question you have, I'm here to
help you out. If it's over my head, I got
somebody that will help you. Eight hundred nine to two
(21:58):
fifty one fifty. Let's have breezey bowl up here. Here's
some Chris Brown residuals, whether it's.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
Relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
This is as key.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
What's up its way up at Angela? Yee, And it
is time for ask ye. That's when you get to
call in and any advice that you need, I'm here
to help you out. We got Stu Mitch on the line.
What's up Stumach, what's your question today?
Speaker 3 (22:21):
For asking you right now?
Speaker 7 (22:23):
You know I'm in a better position and financially more
than I was like three to six months ago. But
you know, even when we deal with adversity and still
having my own issuest I'm still you know, helping people
that I'm close to, not like mom or dad, but
you know other people, so where it's like I'm not
even really feeling appreciated, but it's just like, for some reason,
I still feel like I got the legation.
Speaker 5 (22:42):
Can the help.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
And I don't know if it's just like smart for
me to keep helping or if I just need to
go off for how people are treating me in return.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Okay, so people that are close to you are asking
you to borrow money and you're lending it to them.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Are they paying it back?
Speaker 5 (22:56):
I wouldn't even say it's like I'm loaning it because
like you're giving it to.
Speaker 9 (23:01):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (23:02):
I've needed help before. You know, people have been loan
meat things or given meat things.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
So are these are these the same people that are
asking you now?
Speaker 9 (23:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:11):
Okay, So a couple of things here. A, you always
have the right to say no.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Now this is somebody or people that have helped you
in the past. You can definitely set boundaries on like
this is what I have and this is really all
I have that I can do right now, so you
don't have to give them what they ask for I've
done this before, where people will ask you for a
certain amount of money and you can say I can't
do that, but I can give you this, And so
you do have to let people know what your boundaries are.
(23:37):
You also can help people in ways that are not financial,
where you can say, well, right now, I don't have
the ability or I'm not able to do that, but
if you need help with X, Y, and Z, then.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
I can help you in that way now to set
them bos. Sometimes the more you do for them, the
more they're going to ask.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
And then the one time you say no, they make
you feel guilty, They make you feel bad about it,
and they forget all the other times that you did things.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
But it does feel like these are also people who
have helped you in the past.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
So I do believe that if somebody in good faith
has done things for you, you know, I will always
try to do what I can within reasons.
Speaker 7 (24:13):
As far as like their appreciation part, you know, sometimes
you do want to feel appreciated.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
I don't want to all well, it feels like if
this is somebody close, you should be able to be
honest and just say, hey, you've helped me in the past.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
And I greatly appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
And I just want to say I don't have a
problem with helping you when you need it in any
way that I can, but I do at times feel like,
you know, a little appreciation. I would like that because
sometimes if people don't know how you feel, you can't
expect them to read your mind.
Speaker 5 (24:42):
No, and you want that's right?
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Well, good luck. Continue to be a good person though.
Speaker 7 (24:47):
No, and I appreciate you speak with me.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
But don't overextend yourself. I do want to say that
because sometimes you sit around being mad at somebody. They
don't even know that you're mad because you haven't said anything.
Speaker 7 (24:57):
Yeah, communication is a big part what everything?
Speaker 6 (25:01):
All right?
Speaker 3 (25:01):
Well, good luck. I'm glad to know that if I
need it, you got it. No, definitely a free all right,
take care? Well that was ask ye eight hundred ninety
two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
In case you couldn't get through, you can always leave
a message and ask a question that way. And when
we come back, let's talk about this. What are your
rules when it comes to lending money to people? There
are people who fall out because I lent you money
and you never paid me back. I see you online
buying bottles, doing things, and you still ain't paying me
back my money. So we learn our lesson when it
comes to you, what are your rules when it comes
(25:33):
to lending money to people close to you?
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty call us up.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
This is way up with Angela.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Ye, let's go.
Speaker 8 (25:40):
Yeah, you are a media maven, right, you never know
what AND's gonna say.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela yee. That's right.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
And coming out of ask Ye today we had a
question where we were talking about whether or not you
have boundaries when it comes to lending people money.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Now, my producer Dan, do you lend people money?
Speaker 4 (25:59):
I did not lend because like when I hear lend,
I assume that means.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Like pay you back.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Yeah, So somebody's like, let me borrow something because you say,
people don't say.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Can I have?
Speaker 4 (26:08):
I will say I've been lucky enough to not have
anyone ask me to borrow money. The only time I've
ever given money was I saw people that kind of
needed it. But I don't know if their ego is
in the way or whatever, but I just went ahead
and helped.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Well, I have a lot of people who have borrowed
money for me and never paid your back. I believe it.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
I've seen it.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah, you've seen it. And no, I'm trying to think
of you. No, I think I borrow money from you
all the time, I pay it back.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Then you do.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
You're good for you remind me.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
But yes, I do want to say a lot of
people have done that, and so it comes to the
point now where you have to just either know that
you're not going to get it back or know that
I'm paying this person to leave me alone forever. Because
once you borrow money from somebody and don't pay them back,
you can't ask again, although people will now.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
I want to know what your thoughts are when it
comes to lending money. Hey, ae, man, I'm good. How
are you let me hold some money?
Speaker 8 (26:58):
Nah?
Speaker 5 (26:58):
I ain't. I'd rather give it.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Man, all right? What's your rules? And when it comes
to boundaries on lending people money?
Speaker 5 (27:06):
Don't ask me to borrow money, man. If you need help,
you need help, I can't. I can't lend you money.
Speaker 6 (27:12):
Man.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
Too many people want to borrow money for never one
that paid and paid on time. When they say that
they and for nothing saying they want to borrow money
and they.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Don't really need it, all right, saying, but you do,
let you give money to people, I'll give it.
Speaker 8 (27:28):
Man.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
I've got no time of be calling people back asking
for money that they owe me.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Man, Okay, that's nice of you. All right, Well, thank
you for calling.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
I mean you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Man.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Hey, Jordan, what's up? What's up? What are your thoughts
about lending money? What are the boundaries that you set?
Speaker 10 (27:45):
Listen when you're letting out money.
Speaker 11 (27:47):
Don't lend out anything.
Speaker 10 (27:48):
You can't live without, and live without that twenty five dollars,
just hold on to it.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Have you ever lost a friendship because of money?
Speaker 10 (27:56):
I lost a family member because of money, and I
learned that lest in that day.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Don't leave it. You can't live without it.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Oh you borrowed it, or they borrowed it from you.
Speaker 9 (28:05):
They borrowed it from me.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
I ain't seen him since.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Oh they ducked you.
Speaker 10 (28:08):

and the hard way. Five hundred dollars short in a
