time to shine a light. And I told you today
I want to shine a light on somebody who performed
at Angela ye Day. Recently, she also appeared on lip Service,
and that would be Tifa. She has returned with some
new music and she said, sometimes you have to step
back from things to see what's going on. Well, it

(01:49):
looks like she has done that. There is a period
of time I think that she felt like she was
black bald. She's also the feature on the front home
page of Jamaica Observer and she has a new song
out called Can't Cancel Me, and that song is topping
the US iTunes reggae chart. So shout out to her.
We love to see a good story all right now, Frankie,

had my daughter since she was five days old. She
was a standing at the hospital. So Yo, shout out
to everybody.

Speaker 8 (02:40):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I think that's amazing. I love the work that you're doing.
And there's a lot of people. And if you're listening
right now and in your head you said to yourself
one day you want to be a fusser parent, you
want to adopt a child, Let this be a sign
for you to get it going, you know. So I
love that.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Just do to help these kids. Man, they didn't act
for none of this, so let's just help come out.
And sometimes you get a kid where you can help
the parent out as well. So let's just all do
it and shout out to Angela yee man.

am I the drama? She had Danny Jacksons trending yesterday

(03:38):
for the song Principle. We also got to tell us
a secret on the way, so start calling us now.
You can tell us your deepest, darkest secret. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
What's up, y'all? Let's way up with Angela. Ye, happy Friday,
and you know Friday secrets are always the best. So
we want to hear yours. Eight hundred two nine two,

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Call it?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
What's your secret?

Speaker 9 (04:03):
I stayed about eight or nine years ago.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
I was in a relationship with my youngest child father
and I ended up pregnant, and I just took my
little self onto another state and got an abortion and
never told anyone.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Oh okay, you wasn't ready for that. You feel like
he would have tried to make you keep it. I
know perfect well. You know what we say. Your body
your choice.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
Yes, ma'am, it is.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
At the end of the day, it's up to you
if you want to keep it or not, yes, ma'am,
and I do not. Did you stay with him after that?
I did, all right, So hopefully he does not find
that out. You think you would ever tell him? Oh
you need get mad?

Speaker 6 (04:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
No need. You're right, Thank you for sharing with us. Yes,
I know guys would be mad at that. But at
the end of the day, it is really like a
decision a woman has to make for herself.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
It is because ultimately, when the town is here, you know,
to day, I.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Can get ups and go and do whatever they wanted
to child.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
As always up, what's the mother? So now I have
to make that sound decision for myself, and I did,
and I am glad with the decision that I made.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
All right, Well, thank you, thank you for sharing with us.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
Yet, ma'am, you have a good day here you too.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Hey, anonymiscarlor, how are you?

Speaker 6 (05:17):
Hi?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (05:18):
You want to tell me a secret? No judgment?

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Yes, I have a daughter.

Speaker 9 (05:24):
She's a wrong woman and her father doesn't know that
he's not the father.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
How old is your daughter?

Speaker 6 (05:33):
She's in her mid to late twenty.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Do you know who the father is?

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Yes, he got deported a couple of years ago to
Jamaica and neither one of them.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
No one knows except for me.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Wow, you don't think he has any inclination, like because
you know, sometimes people have like a feeling. And at
this point he probably doesn't want to know because he
raised you know, your daughter, your whole life, her whole life.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Absolutely not, he has no idea.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
She has a blessed name.

Speaker 9 (06:00):
She even kind of favors him a little bit.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
And maybe because they.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
You know, the mental you know, if you if you're
around something to look like them.

Speaker 9 (06:09):
I don't know, but no one has much blue.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Are you ever nervous that they might do like a
you know what if she wants to do like a
twenty three and me or DNA test, does that ever
make they're nervous?

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Yes, yes, all the time.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I'm kind of nervous now, you know what, I'm gonna
keep it real. One of my really really good friends
did twenty three meters and found out that her father
wasn't her real father. Oh my, yeah, it's just right nowadays,
you don't know what somebody might do.

Speaker 9 (06:36):
Exactly, and if she ever needs like something from her
father medically, I just I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Okay, Well, thank you for sharing. You know, like I said,
this is a no judgment zone. So well, thank you, okay,
good luck. Well that was tell us a secret eight
hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty. If you
couldn't get through, leave us a secret for last word,
and when we come back, we have your yet. And
Shencia is going through it.

Speaker 9 (07:02):
Man.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
She was getting a massage and it turns out that
Messus was filming her while she was naked on the
table with her eyes closed. She caught her. We'll tell
you what happened.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
It's way up, they say in the rooms, from industry
shade to all.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Of gossip out. Send Angelus spilling that EyeT, what's up?

Speaker 2 (07:21):
His way up with Angela yee and it's signed for
your yet now. Jimmy Kimmel is apparently livid with ABC
after his show was canceled. According to Radar Online, he
is refusing to apologize for his comments regarding Charlie Kirk's
Assassin and he is like, forget it. I will break
my ties with ABC forever, you know, on ABC's behalf.
I don't know if they were planning to let him

(07:43):
back on anyway, But the bigger question is what is
going to happen with people getting censored moving forward. This
is just an interesting and crazy and hypocritical time. And
Shencia recently went on social media to discuss something that
was a complete violation. Imagine you're getting a massage. You're naked,
because that's what you have to do when you get

(08:03):
a massage, and you're laying on the table eyes closed,
you open your eyes and the person is filming you.
Here's what she said, why would you think it would
be okay to video me while I'm naked with my
eyes closed, Like, I feel like I just got rape
throughsom I feel violated. She said. People are crazy and
they literally have no boundaries. So she is not playing

(08:25):
and that's honestly like a lawsuit. So imagine you are naked,
laying their eyes closed, relaxing, and you hear a click click,
So she already knew that's what that was. Well, hopefully
she's taking some type of legal action because something like
that should never happen. I would be like, I need
to see what's in your phone right now, because you
don't know what she has, all right, Well, that is
your yet and when we come back, we have under

(08:47):
the radar. These are the stories that are not necessarily
and the headlines, they're flying under the radar, but you
definitely need to know about them.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
It's way up position in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
What's up? Its way up, angela Ye, and it's time
for your under the radar stories, the stories that are
not the headlines but flying under the radar. Well, Donald
Trump has addressed ABC suspension of Jimmy Kimmel. He was
doing a press conference yesterday and here's what he had
to say about Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Well, Jimmy Kimmel was fired because he had bad ratings,
more than anything else, and he said a horrible thing
about a great gentleman known as Charlie Kirk. And Jimmy
Kimmel is not a talented person. He had very bad
ratings and they should have fired him a long time ago.
So you can call that free speech or not. He
was fired for lack of talent.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Well, important to note that he has not officially been fired,
so we don't know that that's true. It's, you know,
indefinitely suspended.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Now.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
According to the rap, ABC was planning to bring Jimmy
kimmeo back, but according to Radar Online. Jimmy Kimmel does
not want to go back. So we're watching these things
play out in real time right now. We'll see what happens.
And for anybody else who's traveling, because I'm headed out
to iHeart Festival, just letting you know that TSA has
officially banned some beauty products that you would bring in

(09:59):
your carry on So you can no longer bring cordless
hair straighteners, cordless curling irons in your carry on luggage.
And that is because there could potentially be some issues
with lithium batteries. There's a fire hazard, so you know
when you have the luggage that might have a lithium
battery in it that make you open it up take
the battery out. Well, now you cannot bring those cordless

(10:20):
beauty products with you on the flight, So just letting
you know so you don't get that taken from you.
All right, that is your under the radar. We do
have the way it mixed for you guys at the
top of the hour, but you know it's a Friday.
This Friday is all about Cardi b Feature five for you,
so make sure you keep it locked. We also want
to hear what your favorite songs on the album are,
So make sure you hit us up at Way Up
with ye sure she's.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
About to blow the lid ab off this spot. Let's
get it. Oh yeah, Angelus feeling that yee te come
and get the tea.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
What's up his way up at the angela yee and
it's time for your y e t So. The next
album in Mob Deep's catalog is called Infinite and that
is coming out on October tenth. But Havoc has put
out the track list and there are some huge features
on this track list that includes ghost Face, Killer, Ray Kwan,
her Nas, and the Clips. So cannot wait to hear

(11:07):
what this sounds like. And this album is also part
of Mass Appeal Records Legend Has It series, so that
means releases from Slick Rick, ray Kwan, ghost Face, day La,
Soul Nas, and Big l So shout out to them.
Stephen A. Smith has his new five year contract with
ESPN and gets what that's worth one hundred and five
million dollars, and on top of that, he has a

(11:28):
three year, thirty six million dollar deal with Serious XM
for his show, The Stephen A. Smith Show. And then
on top of that, he makes money off of his
YouTube channel and his podcast, so according to reports, he's
allegedly making up to forty million dollars a year. You
do not have to be an athlete to make that
type of money. You can just report on him. All right,
Well that is your EET And when we come back,

(11:49):
we have asked yee eight hundred two nine two fifty
one fifty any question you have. I got you back.
I'm here to help you out. It's also a cardib
feature five Friday. It's way up Good.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
It's relationship for career advice. Angela's dropping facts you.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Should you should know.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
This is what's up his way up for Angela. Yee,
and it's time to ask you where I'm going to
give you some advice. Today we have somebody on the
phone who wants to be anonymous. What's up?

Speaker 7 (12:15):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 6 (12:18):
I need some advice?

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Okay, I'm listening.

Speaker 6 (12:21):
So I'm married.

Speaker 9 (12:22):
I've been married seven years. My husband cheated and I
got my respect with a friend of his. But supposed
to be a one time thing turn into an ongoing thing,
and it's like now we both have feelings. So I'm
like my husband, I found out still cheating. He claim
he wasn't, but I found out reason when he still is,
and I was feeling guilty, And now I'm like, I.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
Don't think I want to be with him. It is
the acquaintance of his.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yeah, well it's an acquaintance, not a friend. But I
also do want to say that there's some fractures in
your relationship. This also could be partially a rebound thing,
because sometimes the best way to get over the hurt
that you're feeling from what your husband did is by
distracting yourself with somebody else right and something new. So
there's that. So you don't know how you really feel

(13:10):
about this person, but it feels like we know how
you feel about your husband right now. Do you feel
like your relationship is worth saving with your husband?

Speaker 9 (13:17):
I can see all at once, and my husband says
he doesn't treat me right, So I'm like, oh, yeah,
I think I could just divorce him and just be servile.
But the plan is like I don't want to let
him go either, because he's actually a better person.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I think what this did was exposed what is wrong
with your relationship at the least. So if you feel
like you don't want to be with your husband, start
that process. As far as this new man, it's hard
to tell what it's going to be until you actually
are single and can pursue something for real, because right
now this is just the honeymoon rebound phase, so no

(13:54):
telling what it wanted to So I think, like, focus
on dealing with at hand what you have going on
at home, so that you can get yourself out of that.
If that's what you feel like you want to do,
start that process. You know he's cheated, the trust is gone.
I never want to be in a relationship where I
feel like I have to get a look back. Do
you have kids?

Speaker 9 (14:14):
That's this is like my high school twader.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Okay, so you never really had a chance to experience
like what is really out there? This dysfunctional relationship is
what you thought was regular and normal. Talk to a lawyer.
Make sure that you also are getting your ducks in
a row, because I think divorce you never know what
can happen. Like you said, he's a it doesn't seem
like he's a good.

Speaker 9 (14:36):
Car and I need money. I can take care of
my kids.

Speaker 6 (14:39):
I know he can't play the money.

Speaker 9 (14:40):
Game with me, but he'll make you set the part
of life with custody. And just even if you don't
want the kids because Reha to girls, he'll still make
it difficult.

Speaker 10 (14:48):
You know.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Just for me, just make sure that you're not sending
no crazy text messages that could be used with a
lawyer or in court. You know, do everything that you
need to do to protect yourself. He don't need to
know your personal business. Your private business, so keep that
to yourself and deal with what you need to deal
with for yourself. It's great that you have somebody that's Yeah,
it's great that you have somebody that's supportive, but keep

(15:08):
that as something for you and not something that's going
to get in the middle of.

Speaker 9 (15:12):
This, right right, Thank you appreciate sir.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
All right, good luck. Well that was ask ye eight
hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty. If you
couldn't get through, leave a message and ask us a question.
I will get to your question and we'll air it
out live, all right, when we come back. We got
your yea t and speedy Mormon sat down with Lebron
and even asked him about his fractured relationship with Drake.

(15:37):
We have that for you when we come back. It's
way up, they say in the rooms, from industry shade.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
To all of gossip out send Angela's speeling that eye eat.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
What's up is way up with Angela? Yea, and it's
time for your yeat and shout out to Speedy Mormon.
He had an amazing sit down and interview with Lebron.
You could tell that Lebron felt really comfortable talking to
him anytime. That's about things that he's never discussed before.
For instance, where does he stand with Drake right now?
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Are y'all cool?

Speaker 2 (16:07):
What's the status?

Speaker 5 (16:08):
There?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Is this someone you always have love for.

Speaker 10 (16:10):
Always always wish him the best. Obviously different places right
now currently he's doing this thing. I'm doing mine, But
it's always love for sure.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
He also talked about some of his pre game and rituals.
Who would I ever thought that Lebron had any type
of superstition about him.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
I am always the same.

Speaker 10 (16:27):
Unless I feel something is off, I will lay my
uniform out the same way. I will pick a shoe
that I'm going to wear, according sometimes to either the
opponent or the team. But if I go out and
warm ups and I feel a certain way and the
shoes don't feel right, I will absolutely run back to
the locker room and change before the game starts.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
And then in the other positive news, Jaden Smith is
now the first men's creative director for Christian Lubutan. Now,
Jaden Smith said, this is one of the biggest honors
of my life and I feel a lot of pressure
to be able to live up to everything that Christian
has done for the house and also stepping into such
a serious role. When he reached out to me, I
was just blown away because of how similar we are
and how much we like to do things in a

(17:08):
similar manner as for Christian lu Bhutan, they posted, Jaden
Smith will oversee the creation of four collections annually, shaping
a distinctive, visual and emotional universe that extends beyond product design.
The first debut collection will be revealed during men's Fall
Winter twenty twenty six Paris Fashion Week in January. Congratulations
and that is your eet. Now when we come back,

(17:30):
we have even more good news. Well good news for Dan,
my producer. I have a surprise for him and you
guys are gonna love this. Shout out to Wayfair for
helping me make this happen. It's way up. What's up
is way up with Angela Yee, And y'all know, I'm
like an interior designer on the low, and I did
something very special for our producer Dan up here and
way up with Angela Yee. Now you've recently gotten married.

(17:52):
So Dan's new name is Rita's husband. That's his new name.
That's crazy, okay on the night, I mean, it's who
you are, true, But then you moved on to for that,
yes I did. I went and called Rita and I
asked her, what is it that you guys need for
your house warming? I wanted to get you like a
little something for moving to a new place. So she
told me you guys needed a record player stand, and

(18:13):
I actually ordered like three of those from Wayfair. I
have those in my basement. So I got you one
of those, no kidding, contacting my friends at Wayfair. And
then the other thing you needed was a medicine cabinet.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Our bathroom is it's like bare bones. Yeah, and let
me tell you something. Medicine cabinets really can like just
rejuvenate a whole space. And so one of the things
I focused on even in my own house was the bathroom.
So I contacted again my friends at Wayfair because they
always look out and they have such a huge selection
of things, and so we got them for you. Thank you,
You're welcome. I really appreciate that. I really appreciate that. Good.

(18:48):
I'm glad you're doing it. I've had to keep all
my stuff in like a little pale in the bathroom,
a pale. Well you are Rita's husband.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Wow, thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
This is great. But yeah, so I'm happy for you
because it's also not only is it something that's useful,
but it's also chic. All right, So enjoy I appreciate it,
and thank you to my friends at Wayfair.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Thank you Fair.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
And for anybody listening, definitely make sure you check out Wayfair.
I've literally like decorated everything in my house. Storage solutions, bedding,
outdoor everything. They have planters, all of that. All right,
But when we come back, you guys, this is your show,
so you have the last word.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Pack up the phone, Taprian to get your voice heard.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
What the word is? Here's the last word on Way
Up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
What's up his Way Up with the Angela yee, And

back in March of this year, and I found out
that he was arrested he was cheating on me with
another woman.

Speaker 8 (20:20):
Who was also arrested with him.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
So I crossed the brink and I let him take his.

Speaker 8 (20:28):

shine a light on my husband, Trevor Zone.

held me down home in nursing school, and I really
do hope he hears this. Babe, I love you, You're
my light and I can't wait until you're back. And
thank you for your service.

New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
