service Everica Banks was on last week.

who is doing something amazing getting to the money.
Speaker 2 (01:13):

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Put angela you happy Tuesday. That feels like a Monday
because it's a holiday weekend. Kaz is hair with me
and today let's shine a light on this young woman.
Her name is Chantel Francis. She graduated recently from the
State University of New York at Brockport and she has
a beauty supply vending machine company, Night and so she
has now expanded Hello Beauty to supply all different college campuses.
(01:49):
This is from her own personal experience as a student.
She could not find beauty and personal care products on campus,
and she won this campus pitch competition. She got the
resources and confidence to get her first location at Sunny Brockport.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
That was in January.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Now the vending machines are going to be expanding across
all different campuses.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Shout out Sunny Gang.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
You know I mean, as a fellow Sunny graduate, I
love hearing that story where we met Sonny Purchase.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
You're ready to know back in the day.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
But nah, I love that story because anytime you could
take something that everybody likes and make it super convenient
for people, that is like the cheat code to super
duper well.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
So shots to her man, I hope she makes a zillion.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Dollars so young, that's amazing.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
That's like when you find something that you know you need,
you know other people needed.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
To of course, of course the best way to go
about it.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
All right, Oh Shane, who do you want to shine
a light on.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
I want to shine the light on the entrepreneurs out
there on what myself being included, because I'm an entrepreneur
as well.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
What's your business?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
I do?
Speaker 7 (02:45):
Mobile dog grooming?
Speaker 1 (02:46):
All right?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Shout out to the dogs? Is that dangerous work?
Speaker 6 (02:49):
I mean, here it is, you know sometimes I get
bit It's.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
What I found out for the Oh my gosh, what's
the name of it?
Speaker 6 (02:57):
Trendy Puff's Grooming. And I'm going to try to stay
the area.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
All right, Oh Shane, I would love to see some
videos of you.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
You know, at work.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
I love dogs. I just was telling my homegirl this
morning she should get a dog.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
Well yeah, well my page you flooded with them, you know.
But I just you don't thank you for giving me
the opportunity to, you know, come on to. I just
want to shine the light on all the entrepreneurs out there,
you know, just for weaken up every day, relying on
our own ideas and hunk, you know, trying to chase
our dreams where they can come through.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Well, thank you, O Shane. I love what it is
that you're doing.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
All right, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
That was shining light eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through, you
can always call up, leave a message and shine a
light for last word and when we come back, you
know what, since because he is here today, we let's
start with some Ray Lewis versus Shannon Shot.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
How do you do? That's a touchy, touchy subject. You're
very interesting guy, That's why I'm here you all right?
Speaker 3 (03:46):
It's way up, they say in the rooms.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
From industry shade to all of gosp out sending angels feeling.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
That eat it's way up at Angela. Ye, happy Tuesday,
because heem is here with me today. How you feeling,
oh good man, how you feeling? Well, let's get into this.
Ec I actually picked this story for you because you're
here today. Okay, all right, Shannon Shot versus ray Lewis.
I saw this happening on social media, right, so I
definitely want to get your take on this.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Now.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
This all started when ray Lewis had some things to
say about how Shannon Shot has changed.
Speaker 8 (04:17):
I'm shocked at his content, the things that Shannon has
said now or did now.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I would never believe that Shannon will say or do anything.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
All right now, I want to ask you what does
he mean by that?
Speaker 5 (04:31):
Well, obviously, you know, Club Shay sh has become a
massive platform, and you know, maybe some of the content
and the interviews that he's done that stray away from
football and sports might be something that he probably doesn't
know the Shannon that he knows, because there were teammates
once up at a time as as members of the
Baltimore Ravens.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Now.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
I think Shannon Sharp had a little bit of a
follow up over there saying, you know, everybody's sort of
taking shots at him because of everything that he's gone
through with the you know, the girlfriends who got the
settlement and all that type of stuff and losing to
ESPN gig like, it's very easy to dump on Shannon,
and I can kind of feel where Shannon's coming from
because once upon a time when they were both teammates,
Ray Lewis had his own thing that was going on
(05:09):
that was in the news that you know, he was
you know, people say he was met might and may
not have been involved in this murder that happened through
the Super Bowl weekend and all this type of stuff.
So I can understand from a teammate.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Perspective, you should never be Yeah, like, if.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
It's coming from somebody else, fine, but if it's like
from you not from you.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Well, here is what Shannon Sharp had to say in response.
Speaker 8 (05:31):
Okay, I ain't got nothing bad to say. I bite
my tongue. I'll be the bigger person. I'll walk away. Hey,
you right, because you know why Chow, it's low hanging fruit.
You know how I know because your boy you're looking
at him, he low hanging fruit. And there are a
lot of people taking your shot at your boy.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, I mean, I get it.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
It's it's tough, like when you're in the spotlight like
that for something so controversial and uh, you know, losing
the gig as big as ESPN and first Take and
all that type of stuff. Uh, it's very easy to
just just jump on.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Somebody saying basically like with Shannon Shad, you're doing this
gossip stuff now, and.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
I mean he is, he is, like you shouldn't have
from it.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
But at the same time, it's like you with my teammate,
like we was in actual wars in the actual trenches together,
and like ray lewis correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't
necessarily like a member of the media like that. So
if he's just you know, I think a.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Lot of commentators and sports and athletes and former athletes,
they want to show that we don't only talk about sports, right.
I think that's important because sometimes they're like enough of
these sports. That's not all I know and want to do. Yeah,
I want to have other conversations.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Yeah, And the reason why club is so good and
big is not just because of football conversations, you know.
And when you're building a media platform, as you would know,
you got to expand the horizons. You got to talk
to everybody. So I understand and maybe of people the
wrong way.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Sports and gossip sometimes becomes intertwined exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
We have we have two different algorithms.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
That's gossip.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
There you go it is. Yeah, yeah, I mean I
love it though. It is what it is.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
But the same stories all day, y'all have the same things.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yea, it is what it is, Oh gosh.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
And then we all get together and drink and talk
about it and gossip it with our friends, and it's
not that.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Different about this all day. It's all right, well that
is ya.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yet when we come back, we have about last night
where we discussed what we did last night. I know
it was a holiday weekend. I cannot wait to hear
what you and the family did. And I tell you
what I did. I went to my first ever black Rodeo.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yes, this was in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
The Beyonce effect is taken over.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
This has been happening. I know this has been I
actually happened to be going there and I didn't know
it was Black Rodeo. Really yeah, so it's just a coincidence.
But we all discussed its way up.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
You it's way up. But hey, I'm here with Kazine.
I feel like we're arguing.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
We are we always do.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
But what was your weekend?
Speaker 8 (07:48):
Like?
Speaker 5 (07:49):
Oh man, we took it super easy, Yes, they're on
actual Labor Day.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
My lady made some fall off the ball ribs at
the crib, you know what I mean. It was great.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
But the day before that, our uncle, our patriarch of
the family, had his ninety second birthday.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Wow shot out to him.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
As a family got together and it was really good,
great family time.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
This seek them. It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
You guys didn't go to the parade, nobody. Okay, no,
we don't know the West City and American Day Parade.
I wasn't even here, so I don't know what I'm
talking about.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
I can watch it on Instagram now. It was beautiful.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Safely well, I was in Phoenix, Arizona, and so we
actually had.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
A really great time. I played pickleball for the first time.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
I got beef with your pickleballers.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
By the way, we're taking up space on the court.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
You're always kicking us off the basketball court, and I
don't like it. You got your own courts.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
It was enjoyable. I see why people like it.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
It's cool, except it was like one hundred and five
degrees in Phoenix. We went to Savannah, a wellness spa,
had a good time there and yeah, it was just
a good good vibes all around.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Arizona sneaky, sneaky fire city. Man, I mean Phoenix is
sneaky fire city.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yeah, all of that, so shout out. I would definitely
be going back. We went to a day party. It
was like I said, we sat outside and over a
hundred degree weather and enjoy But the night heat.
Speaker 5 (09:03):
Feels a lot better than the day heat over there
because there's no trees. It's a nice dryness to it.
So one hundred five degrees sounds crazy to a New Yorker,
but I promise you it feels different.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
And they have like the mist everywhere. We were at
Sam Sara. That's one location that we went to that
is like a hookah spot. That sounds it's a nice
miss with the hookah. And then we had a we
went to this amazing brunch party and I just want
to shout out to them because a black woman from
New York, from the Bronx actually owns the restaurant.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
Wow that we went.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
To Soka business.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
I love to see people outside.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
It was called sugar Jam the Southern Kitchen, so amazing
sugar it sounds fin. Now another thing that is happening today,
I was having this conversation with you behind the scenes
is what we were arguing about. This episode of lip
Service with Kim is coming out today, and we talked
to Kim about whether or not we should be lying
about things. Here's here's what happened. Is it ever okay
(10:01):
in a relationship to lie?
Speaker 9 (10:02):
Now?
Speaker 3 (10:02):
On the way here, I was telling Jasmine, I was like,
I want my boyfriend to tell me that I'm getting fat,
And I'm appalled that she wants somebody to Because.
Speaker 10 (10:11):
Is it okay to lie in your relationship? I would
say no, That don't mean that people don't do it,
but they're not just in a relationship, dude, you have
to want to know the.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Truth, all right.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
So the question that we talked to him about is
is it okay to lie in a relationship?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
If your partners like, am I getting fat?
Speaker 3 (10:25):
And they are, should you tell the truth or should
you be like, no, you look great.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
It's all in the delivery. It's all delivery and the
follow up. I mean, obviously, if you're asking somebody how
to talk to your own woman, how do.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
You tell you? Know me?
Speaker 10 (10:41):
Me?
Speaker 5 (10:41):
I'm always about like being honest, but also like you
don't have to be hurtful. I think people confuse bluntness
with just like being mean, speaking a witch.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Don Roland is here, what are you talk about?
Speaker 11 (10:53):
Lying?
Speaker 1 (10:53):
You say?
Speaker 12 (10:53):
Speaking of which? Don mean? The best thing in relationship?
Always lie? Never tell the truth? Nobody what's the truth?
You can't handle the truth? Always lie?
Speaker 1 (11:10):
You getting fat? No, you look good?
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Lie all right?
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Well you heard both sides eight hundred fifty.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick aside and stay there.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Yeah, it's a way yep, budy angela yee, And it's
time to pick a side now. Becauzem is here with
me today and we're talking about this interview from Lift
Service that's going to be out today with Kim, and
we talked about whether or not we want to hear
the truth from our partner when it comes to gaining weights.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Is it ever okay in a relationship to lie? Now?
Speaker 3 (11:47):
On the way here, I was telling Jasmine, I was like,
I want my boyfriend to tell me that I'm getting fat.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
And I'm appalled that she wants somebody.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
To Because is it okay to lie in your relationship?
Speaker 10 (11:57):
I would say no, that don't mean that people don't
do it, but not just in relationship.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Dude, you have to want to know the truth.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
I want to know the truth.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
You should, now, Kaz in your relationship, would you want
to know the truth.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Absolutely all the time? Yes, as long as it's you know,
not too biting, you know what I mean? But I
could read between the lines, like if you're trying to be.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Like you can drop a hit, I could. I could
take a hint and be like, all right, got you
Jim tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
You know how I feel. I want somebody to just
I don't even mind, just come at me, tell me.
You can say it harshly. Yeah, And I'm okay with that.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
But you got to know your partner too, you know
what I mean? Like, if you know your partner's a
little bit sensitive.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
To do something about it now.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Now Rowling's oh, he's walking in the room, and we
want to get everybody's opinion on whether or not it's
okay to know the truth. Pick aside eight hundred two
nine fifty one fifty. Hey your name is Rose, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Rose, it's almost thugut.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
So what do you tell your significant other if they
ask are they getting fat? And they are?
Speaker 6 (12:55):
I would lie because females sometimes they like and I
don't know what should be with me, but then later
on just think about it, like dang, you really put
on fat like a pert little thing.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Love all right, so you're on Ti Naw's team. Team lie.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
You heard you hurt yourself in the long run too,
because she getting wait and you you're obviously seeing it
and you don't like it. Yeah, you might feel like
at the moment, but you don't keep getting bigger and
bigger and bigger, and then she's gonna end up present.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
You say nothing, but.
Speaker 6 (13:21):
Not like no, no, I think you don't beat He's
like you like, you know, you don't run it to.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Get old though you.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Know what we say it's women. We'd be like, how
come no one tell me? How bad?
Speaker 12 (13:32):
I like?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
There you go so mad like you say nothing, but
then at some point you got it. I mean, you
know if you're picking up all right?
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Thank you for calling Rose like an old white women
name Rose or what's up?
Speaker 13 (13:51):
Hey, I'm saying that lying is okay, but I prefer
not again. Like y'all said, I think it's about the delivery,
So don't come off so harsh like babe, you're you're
getting big, but you know you could ease it up
in there to me. Don't tell me that I'm not
getting big because I don't want nobody in the street.
Speaker 14 (14:09):
Then tell me I'm big.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Not saying it to her nicely?
Speaker 1 (14:15):
You sure you want to eat that cheeseburger. You don't
want to sell it, you don't want to salad.
Speaker 13 (14:24):
You gotta wait till you cuddle in and be like, day,
I want a little way, you know, let her know
that it's coming, but lightly on the eye light, because
then she might think you actually like.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
That mid cuddle is crazy, man, you just said I
like it, then now thinking he like it?
Speaker 13 (14:39):
Or babe, he was getting a little thig, you know,
something to acknowledge. I see transitioning happening.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
You know it's funny though women have no problem doing
it to men though, like we coddling and now you're
getting big, Like so grab.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
It and be like, hey, you got a little what's
no you want to consider them to come to men
and women.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
We got to dress it up all night, make sure
it's said the right way.
Speaker 13 (15:06):
Their appearance as women.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Are you guys and secure about your appearance?
Speaker 7 (15:12):
Ever?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Like I mean, but you got fat like for health reasons.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
Yeah, I'm not saying trying to me, like your penis
look smaller.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
I see, there you go, because you got that on
it come to hairlines, hairlines and.
Speaker 12 (15:26):
Airlines, and that's below, don't it is to me, Damn daddy, what.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
You're gonna do with all that? That's all I want.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
To thank you.
Speaker 13 (15:41):
You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
It feels like it was a split.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Some people want to be lied to, some people want
to be told the truth to.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
But I feel like the truth in a nice way.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
But the people said they want the truth, they're really lying.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Okay, that's the lie right there.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
And Jerke his second sit down with Bobby is out
right now, and we have some of the highlights for you.
She actually asked him about his fake abs and bbl
his Way Up show.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
She's about to blow the lid ab off this pot.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Let's get it.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Angelus fielding that yank tea, come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Oh I love this.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
During this episode of Way Up at the Angela Yeah,
I'm here with my guy Kazem and this Drake Bobby
all Top interview just came out like literally just dropped
not that long ago, less than an hour ago. And
you know, in the preview he told that this is
one of the nicest things a guy has ever done
for her, the nicest thing to do this interview. And
this is their second interview together. The first one got
(16:35):
taken down off of YouTube. And in the interview he
does allude to I guess they said it because there
was a Tiger song that played, and he kind of
alludes to the crazy things that people are doing in
the industry.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
There's a lot of conversation.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
They're on a bed with like full Florida ceiling windows
all around the room and it's just a bed in there.
And one of the things that she talked to him
about was whether or not he really had a procedure done.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
People think you got procedure done one.
Speaker 15 (17:04):
Did you do that?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
No?
Speaker 11 (17:06):
People also say that I got a BBL right BBL Oh,
that's true.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Did you like wagon looked crazy when I walked in here?
But did it?
Speaker 7 (17:15):
No?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
I mean, personally, I've never looked a.
Speaker 11 (17:17):
Young It's just like I came from the gym. I
was sweaty in that pick.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
So he put the saturation up on that.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
They just did the bblzzy song.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Yeah, I mean, listen, it's the first time I ever
heard anybody straight up ask him about it. So if
he said he ain't get no BBL, they get no
abs on. I gotta take his word for it, but
that photo on I g did look kind of crazy.
I mean, yeah, not the video, but I mean, hey man,
they said he ain't get no procedure procedure, you know.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
She also asked him about why he hasn't done shows
in l A. And he did say that he does
have an American tour coming soon. Okay, okay, And then
he also talked about being called a culture.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Bulture and my intentions are pure, you know.
Speaker 11 (17:59):
Like it's the same way even in music, people will
be like, oh, like you're a culture vulture or like
people will describe the collaborative efforts that I've put forth
in the artists that I've picked up and lifted up
or shine the light on as me taking you know,
they'll put a negative spin on it and try and
tell me, you know, that it's a self serving thing
(18:21):
or whatever. And I think I get really sensitive about that.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
I Mean, he's pretty much admitting that the things like
Kendrick said in a lot of those songs, especially Euphoria,
did hit pretty close to home, whether it's the surgery,
whether it was having to go to Atlanta when he
needs his check balance and all this type of stuff
like that stuff really did bother him. And this is
interesting to me. I don't want to take make too
hot of it take because I still want to hear
the whole interview. But I mean, people have said crazy,
(18:45):
what do you believe on Team Kendrick, team Drake, team whoever?
People have said some crazy things about Drake over the
last year or some change.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
And you know it's interesting too as a journalist, right
if you have to weigh in and say things.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
He'll take those things personally, and he has every.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
Right too because I think ever since not like us
dropped the super Bowl, all this type of things like
it was it felt like a victory lap, like people
are sort of like dancing on his grave. So I
was very interested to hear what he has to say.
No matter who he talked to him.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
It's probably a lot of people in his DMS are
saying things to him, like, you know, nice things, but
then they go publicly and say things, and you know,
even athletes people he thought he was friends with. Yeah,
and then this whole thing happened, and it's like, dang,
I didn't really wrap with it. And so another thing
he addresses is not doing mainstream media interviews and why
some of these old journalists are going to be mad
(19:38):
again m.
Speaker 11 (19:39):
Me essentially like just recognizing somebody that I never met
in my life.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
I wanted to have an interesting conversation with.
Speaker 11 (19:47):
It's off like so many like all these losers, these
like you know, like story journalists, and like this guy
and that guy who like feels so entitled to this
interview about and Drake never does anything for like this
type of media, and it just like made people so angry.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
They're about to be mad.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
They're about to be mad again.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
But here's the thing with that, right, Like I was
interested to hear what Drake had to say whenever he
had the time to say it because of everything that
happened in the past year and a half. But at
the same time, the same loser journalist that he said
that you know, he does nothing for, Like at one
point he absolutely wanted their approval. He absolutely wanted to
talk to the Elliotts and wanted to talk to the
(20:26):
zaying Lows and get all these this stuff out. When
it came to his music. But the conversation around Drake,
especially the past year and a half, wasn't about the music.
It was about the things that Kendrick said about him.
It was the thing about how everybody sort of turned
their back on him. Like so, I'm not mad that
he went and talked to Bobby on this one. I'm
sure you know.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
I think sometimes it may feel a little bit like
it's not challenging, right, and that's probably what it is.
But it also gave him the space to address things that,
like you said, people never have come out directly and
asked him.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
But how could it not be challenging. The whole world
called him a pedophile for a year and a half.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Well listen, well, I'm sure have some more because this
interview just dropped. But when we come back, under the radar,
stories that are not necessarily in the headlines, they're flying
under the radar.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
But right now, let's hear some Drake.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Position the news that relates to you. These stories are
flying under the radar.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
It's way up with Angela. There's so much going on today, Kazem.
I'm so glad you're here today because we're witnessing a lot.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
I'm glad to be here.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
After the holiday weekend, things are dropping all over the place.
Young thug audio clips like albums.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Gods on the whole day of a thug clips.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
All right, well listen, we should do that. Now, let's
get into under the radar stories. Now, I'm sure you
saw at the US Open a man grabbed a hat,
an autographed hat that was supposed to be for a
little boy tennis start Camille Magrock was signing the hat
for him to give to, you know, and he said
he believed that hat was supposed to be for him.
(21:53):
So a grown man, he's a CEO of a paving
stone company. He's the person that actually grabbed the hat.
The video looks vicious, like the You could see the
tennis star handing over the hat. He's going to take it,
and he literally grabbed it out of his hand.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Yeah, I saw the clip. You're grown You're a whole
grown up though, right, what could you really do with
this autograph? Give it to the kid?
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Now? Over the weekend there was a statement from this ceo,
his name is Pyotor, says I can't even pronounce.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Yeah, we're gonna we're gonna go with Okay.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
So anyway, there was a quote that they attributed to
him that said, yes I took it, Yes I did
it quickly. But as I've always said, life is first come,
first served. I understand that some people might not like it,
but please, let's not make a global scandal out of
the hat.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
It's just a hat. If you were faster, you would
have it. That was a fake quote.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
Okay. I about to say, we got a double confirmed
that that was going.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
All over the place. People were posting it like real
outlets were posting this. He has now made a statement, though,
Potor Saysac and he said, I would like to unequivocally
apologize to the boy who was harm.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
His family, as well as all the fans and the
player himself.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
I made a serious mistake, and the emotions in the
crowd's joy after the victory, I was convinced that the
tennis player was handing the cap in my direction for
my sons, who had earlier asked for autographs. It is
a painful but necessary lesson in humility for me.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
And so that is his statement.
Speaker 5 (23:17):
I mean, what they're gonna do about this kid, though,
They're gonna make it, make the after the game.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Did get his own autograph, and he was very happy
and took pictures and everything good. So, yes, that did
The most important thing is yes, that did happen. He
also went on to say that for years, together with
my wife, I've been involved in helping children and young athletes.
But the situation showed me that one moment of carelessness
can undo years of work and support. Therefore, I will
engage even more actively in initiative supporting children and youth.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
And that's a good that's a great statement. But he
could tell he's a CEO, because boy, that does not
look good on a camera if you.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Haven't seen him.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Yeah, and the tennis player also pointed out that Cesarek
and his company sponsors his tennis federation in Poland, and
so that's where maybe some.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
Those already a prior connection over there, so you're probably honest. Mistake,
honest mistakes happened, folks.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
And everybody one.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
The kid did get the hat, he did get to
meet him afterwards, and you know, got everything he needed
to get. But yes, well that was a crazy moment,
though we haven't seen it all right, Well that is
your under the radar. We do have the way up
mixed at the top of the hour, plus ask Yee
yee t and we got some more questions for you.
Other viral moments that we got to talk about. It's
way up, just like the talk like they Angela Jean,
(24:27):
like they Angela jee Man.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
She's spilling it all. This is Yea t way.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
It's way up. But Angela Yee. I'm here with Causin.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Yeah, it's so funny because you're teaching me about wrestling,
I'm teaching you about Mariah the scientists.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
This is why this works so well. We just put
each other on and.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Welcome home to Karen Huger from Real Housewives a Potomac.
She just was released from the Montgomery County Detention Center
in Maryland, so she was say.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
It wasn't that serious. But that was that whole d
uy All show. I know you don't watch.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
But Taylor Williams I was at Black Rodeo in Scottsdale
and he actually was there and he actually got thrown
from his horse because it tripped over another horse and
then he fell and then the horse got on him
and he was motionless. So he ended up having to
go to the hospital. God, but he was there the
next night while I was there with his arm and
his sling. So shout out to Taylor, cowboy's real tough man.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
You gotta be able to tough to fall from horses
and cows and rodeo and all that type of stuff.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
So shawta town.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Now let's talk about what's going on with Dame Dash
and Cameron. Now, Dame Dash on his own platform has
responded to some of the things that Cameron had to
say about him on Cameron's show on Revolt. And here
is originally what Cameron had to say about his conversation
with Memphis League also where he is basically telling about
some private conversations with Damon Dash.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
I remember coming in the studio it was you, Bean's
and Jay. Jay found out about this president when he's
on vacation. So when he came back, he was mad.
But I didn't know about it at the time. And
so Beans was like, Yo, don't never disrespect me on
TV again. And I was like, what are you talking about.
He's like, Yo, you told me I know the business this.
(26:10):
I said, look, look, homie, I just was repeating what
Dave told me.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
And so Damn and Dash on his New America network,
he posted a response to this today. It looks like
he's in the dentist's office. He also has on an eyepatch.
He explains, whatever medical things are you know, are going on.
He's getting new tea.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Okay, yeah, he sounded like it.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
But here's what he had to say regarding Cameron, because
they were so close at one point, and he feels
definitely betrayed by him. But he also feels like you
shouldn't be telling these private conversations going to the radio,
and it caused a lot more problems than maybe even
Cameron never knew at the time.
Speaker 9 (26:46):
Well, I'm from it's not bellow to have a really
private conversation and go to the radio and tell everybody
before everyone else knows. Now, I just thought you were
young and I didn't even let you know. But I
think you know how many problems that mistake you made caused,
but you never said nothing to correct it. And now
you're sitting with people that you used to disrespect daily
(27:09):
laughing about the fact that you miss folk and you.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Know this is all about you.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Remember when this happened, he was Cameron was gonna be
president A Rockefeller jay Z was on vacation. He came
back found out about it, but it was I think
just supposed to be president of Dipsett or something.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
Yeah, I mean I feel like I love hearing these
stories as like a hip hop fan, just like the
lore of Rockefeller and the rise and fall to break up,
and I love hearing it from the people who actually
lived it. But in the same way I felt the
way about Shannon Sharper Ray Lewis is probably the same
way I probably feel about the Cam and Dane Dash
thing because they were thick of Steve's.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
At one point.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Yeah, and all that history.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
Yeah, absolutely tons of history, tons of great music together.
So somebody feels the type of way about it. I
could understand that. But at the same time, it's like, man,
Cam's in the content game now. Man, Like, he's doing
great with his podcast in the shows, and he's got
a story to tell.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
You gotta tell it, all right, And now let's get
into everything that's been going on with Young Thug. I mean,
there's a lot to pack here, but I will say
all these phone conversations that are leaked, I mean he's
talking about little Baby, he's talking about Gunna and paying
for bots to make sure that this album went number one.
There's all these things on these phone conversations. One thing
(28:14):
that I saw come out today was Young Thug upset
that Kenjock Lamar would not get on a track with him.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
And here's what that sounded like.
Speaker 14 (28:22):
You really sitting in the studio and work on the
album and don't put nobody on the AM like God
damn bringing nobody king like me Willam thirty sevy phone though,
if you don't given nod album Wow.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
And then he also said that's why y'all not Drake.
He went on to say, that's why Drake's the bigger artists,
and so on and so forth.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
I will say, Mariah, the.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Scientists were performing and they were holding up signs in
the audience calling Young Thug a snitch at the concert,
which led to me playing you some amazing Mariah.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
The Sciences put all right, well that is your Yet.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
When we come back, we have asked ye eight hundred
two ninety two fifty one fifty call us up any
question you have.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
We're here to help.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
All right.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Here some Leon Thomas with his way up with it's.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Should you should know this is ask what's up?
Speaker 3 (29:09):
His way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here with my
guy Kazem ready to give some advice.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
I love this part for ask Ye.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
We got Sherry on the line today. What's your question
today for ask Ye?
Speaker 16 (29:19):
Are been dating this guy so in the last five years?
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Okay?
Speaker 16 (29:23):
And he's like kind of think. He's like, I'm dating
for marriage and I wasn't there yet. So fast forward
to twenty twenty three, we decided we're going to move
to Atlanta be in a relationship. I started to stop
to sigu together. So back in January, he's telling me, oh, well,
I'm going through my divorce and getting my divorce and
I'm just kind of confused.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
I'm like, where were you married?
Speaker 16 (29:39):
You said you were dating for marriage, not like.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
You were in a marriage.
Speaker 13 (29:41):
He gets the divorce.
Speaker 16 (29:43):
So we've been there it for two years now, and
now I'm like, okay, two years gone by. I want
to be married, and I feel like he's kind of
dragging his feet, and I'm thinking, like, if he doesn't
really propose by next year, so I'm gonna cut it off.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
Well, that gives him time till next year. And he
knows that you have a time range, right for sure.
You can only do what you can do. This is
my limit, this is what I want to happen. This
is the plan that I have for myself, and you
can be flexible in those plans. All he has to
do is propose by then, because you kind of feel like, look,
we've been dating for what five years? Seriously for two
three years is a good amount of time to know
(30:15):
if this is the person. But I can also understand
that the process of divorce is scary for some people,
and after that happens, marriage is scarier.
Speaker 16 (30:24):
I understand that, but like I'm leading me honest thing,
I'm dating for marriage, and then when I finally commit
to a relationship, now you know, it's kind of a game.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Feel me, Well, kas, what do you think about that?
As a man?
Speaker 5 (30:35):
I mean, I would say, you know, if you're just
getting out of a marriage, that whole divorce process probably
takes longer than anybody wants it to take.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
So let's be longer in the marriage.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Be longer in the marriage exactly.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
So like not only that, but you know, and I'm
not trying to make an excuse for him, but I
could see somebody feeling like, you know, you just get
out of a divorce, you go right into a marriage
right after that, Like maybe he doesn't want to deal
with the scrutiny of how that looks to people, even
though that may not matter in the grants even thing.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
But you know, he's a divorce for two years.
Speaker 16 (31:02):
Remember this is twenty page three.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
We got divorce and we got together, okay, and he's
also was separated long before that.
Speaker 16 (31:08):
Right, yeah, for sure seven years before that.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
He's clearly the type of person who drags his feet.
It's everything else in the relationship great, Yeah.
Speaker 16 (31:19):
Everything else is good, like supportive, we're a love like
everything is good. It's just like I don't want to
be a twenty years and being a girlfriend.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Yeah, and that's important to you. For some people it's not,
but for you it is. And that is your ultimatum.
And so if he can do it, he can do it.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
And if he can't, then you know, if you're ready
and prepared to move on, then you may have to.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
You never want to rush a for everything.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
This man is the man that you say he is,
and you want to be with him for the rest
of your life, and he does everything that makes you happy.
A time on it or wherever time is that it's
going to take for you to feel happy and comfortable
in the situation, whether that's marriage or whatever it is,
is not going to change. Whether it's a month after
your deadline or a year after your deadline. If that's
the man that you love and that's the man that
you want to spend your rest of your life with,
(32:00):
and I think it's here.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
She's giving him, you know, till next year.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Sometimes people also that have dealt with this are nervous
that after we get married, things are gonna change.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Yeah, some people think, but some people think for the worst.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
You know.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
Sometimes people feel like we're doing so well.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
I just don't want it to go left because we
got married and put in so so just have some
grace and have some conversations with him so you can
also be empathetic to how he feels and make sure
that he feels confident, because the last thing you want
is somebody to propose to you and it's not what
they really wanted to do.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
You want him to want to do it also.
Speaker 16 (32:34):
Right, all right, guys, I'm gonna touch you. I'm like, y'all,
I'm gonna be patient and if it happen, it'll happen
next year.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
All right, thank you, good luck?
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Look all right, well that was ask ye eight hundred
and two nine two fifty one fifty. In case you
couldn't get through, you could always leave a message and
we answer questions that way too.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
And when we come back, Kaz, you have on this
shirt of rear Ripley.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Yeah, I'm about to put you on game because.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Apparently that is Drake's muse. We're gonna play that clip
for you the Bobby Allta interview when we come back.
But I want to see what your thoughts are on
how Drake's been moving in the world of journalism, because
he brought that up in the interview too. And for
you as a journalist, I just want to get your opinion,
all right, do it all right?
Speaker 2 (33:12):
His way out and I who about to do this.
Speaker 6 (33:15):
One of memos famous women in radio vidio.
Speaker 4 (33:18):
We're talking about Angela Ye. You're way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Please believe that.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
What's up his way up at Angela Yee and Kauzem
is here today as a journalist. We were talking about
Drake going on with Bobby alltof who, by the way,
was ending her podcast and her whole podcast career, and
then Drake swooped in and did this interview with her,
their second interview together, and he addressed all of the
journalists who were going to be upset about this.
Speaker 11 (33:41):
Here's what he said me essentially, like just recognizing somebody
that I never met in my life, I wanted to
have an interesting conversation with. It's off like so many
like all these losers, these like you know, like story
journalists and like this guy, that guy who like feels
so entitled to this interview, and Drake never does anything
(34:02):
for like this type of media, and it just like
made people so angry, and a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Were upset the first time around. Definitely, Elliott Wilson.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Was, oh yeah, he was probably the loudest of the tractors.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
The most vocal about it.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Definitely.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
So what are your thoughts on Drake doing an interview
like this instead of with a journalist.
Speaker 5 (34:20):
Well, I mean, I understand why he's avoiding a journalist
right now. And I said this when the beef happened,
like it felt like it was very split down the
middle between Kendrick and Drake for a while. Then it
felt very very very anti Drake for a long time,
and he's a human being at the end of the day.
He doesn't want to talk to people that he felt
a type of way about when he was probably as
low as as he ever been in his career.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
That's completely his prerogative.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Maybe he's going to wait till the album's coming out,
because that's the time you do it, right.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah, I don't think. I don't think this is the
last time we're going to see him doing some press.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
I think at some point, who do you think he
should talk to?
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Man? I think he should talk to Rob Markman.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Okay, because they had it back and forth.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
They had it back and forth. Rob's and a super
Claim journalists. They have a ton of history day and
back to the Bleak South days and the Freshman cover,
and we can talk about the entire career history between
those two and especially that Drake. Let it be known
that he pays attention to what Rob.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
Does when he has right, that's how short? All right, Well,
let's hear what you guys think. Eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
Oh, and he can come to seven pm in Brooklyn
if he wants to.
Speaker 16 (35:19):
To say that.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
I was about to say, like, yeah, me and mellow
could we could we could work?
Speaker 2 (35:26):
You can always service.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Well look at me plugging the home hoies. Hey yo,
he yo, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
All right, Well, Halee, what are your thoughts?
Speaker 6 (35:38):
You know, I'm kind of conflicted on the topic. On
one hand, I feel like it would be good for
the culture, you know, for Drake to be able to
speak to these acclaimed hip hop journals.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
But in the same breath, I.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
Gotta be honest, man, they wasn't really rocking with him
during the beach, so I can understand why he wouldn't
want to show his support there.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
Academics was academics doesn't count like I don't think he
means like streamers, no, no offense to academics.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
I think what he built is super impressive.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
But it's like when you're talking about list Yeah, when
you're talking about the academics, the eight and Rosses, like
even like the Constanats and those people like, you know
what you're going there for. I think the people that
want to talk to drink, especially after this year, they
want to talk about the music.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (36:15):
He's addressing a lot of stuff that I'd want to
hear him talk about with the Robs and the Elliotts
and all that type of stuff.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
So it's not really the music.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Yeah, you know, like nothing about the music. But what
I do know is that he says he does not
have fake abs. That was the most important part.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
You could tell the type of stuff that was said
in those Kendrick, this is that really hurt him, Like
the abs stuff, the culture, ultra stuff.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Well, pedophile stuff. I think that was the list of
what really you know, bothers him absolutely.
Speaker 5 (36:44):
I mean, you know, I don't think anybody wants to
be called that, no matter what the circumstance, rap beef
