is she? Well, she is the Ford's first black female
car designer. Back in nineteen eighty three. She actually has
an autobiography that's out. Coba, do you mean a black
girl can't design cars? Emiline King, she did it, and
she actually tore down a lot of racial and gender barriers.
(02:07):
She's from Detroit, her dad worked for Ford Motor Company.
She had early exposure to art culture, strong family values,
and that's when she was able to do that. That
is quite a male dominated industry, So shout out to
Emilyine King, the first black female car designer. She also
designed the interior of the nineteen ninety four Ford Mustang.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
By the way, that's awesome. Good for her.

a light?
Speaker 8 (02:30):
One light on to my children? They've been so rezilian
and brave. They lost the brother back in December of

all those stages of grief and continue to strive to
push forward. And they just keep giving me a lot
of stunts, and you know, they just keep making me
(02:53):
push forward a second out of time. I don't know
how they do it, but yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:57):
Much love to all of you, to your children, to
you for you know, making sure that you're there for
your kids for them, making sure that they're there for you.
You guys are pulling together as a family. You know,

Speaker 5 (04:19):
What did it do?
Speaker 4 (04:20):
What you Do?
Speaker 6 (04:22):
So to Be is now doing a deal with Kevin
Hart's Heartbeat, and that is for their first creator led
film slate. So these films rolling out across twenty twenty
six a part of this to Be four creators program
and so DC Young Fly Tico being Carlos Miller. They're
gonna kick it off with Sundown. It's a supernatural thriller
(04:42):
written and directed by and starring Digital creator Dion, following
a group of black college friends who take a wrong
turn into a racially hostile town where local myths turn
terrifyingly real. And then it's going to be eighty five
South Dead and featuring obviously eighty five South and that's
a satirical horror comedy about a Southern road trip gone
off the rails. So there's gonna be two more films
(05:03):
announced at a later date. Do yours Keen for sure,
ye two before creators, I hope you okay, let's do
it all right now. Speaking of racial things, hood Uh
from Love Island, USA has apologized to her fellow contestant
Olandria for her reaction to a racial slur that was
(05:23):
used while she was on her boyfriend Louis Russell's lashing
Lewis is on was on Netflix's Perfect Match. And clearly
Hudden and Lewis are a couple right now. And here's
what that call sounded like.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
Hello, Hey, what do they say?
Speaker 6 (05:46):
So whoever called in said Alandria is a and use
the N word and they started laughing. So this, as
it should have, created a firestorm of reactions. Now Alandria
has some things to say about this racist moment and
how they laughed at that, and she I mean, I
(06:08):
don't even know how you explain why you would think
something like that, why your reaction would be to laugh.
But Hadda did go and respond and said, I've taken
the majority of the day to reflect and collect my
thoughts to make sure this didn't come off as disingenious.
Last night I quickly posted a statement acknowledging my reaction.
I want to begin by saying, I completely respect Olandria
(06:28):
and extremely disheartening, and she said, it's now clear that
this comment was targeted at you, and I apologize for
my immediate reaction because she was saying she didn't hear
Olandria's name, is what she initially was trying to say.
And then she goes on to make a donation to
the NAACP.
Speaker 7 (06:47):
Oh god, whoever is doing her PR, whoever wrote that
and who's doing her PR needs to be.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
Fired now, Alandria, because that's a terrible look. You know,
her reaction Now, I really think she's racist?
Speaker 5 (07:02):
Now, you really think she's She was like, oh, let
me donate some money to these black people. Like that's crazy.
I mean, that's good, I guess, but also weird.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
Well, as far as Alandria, you know, she did put
some links up like hey, you know, things like this
are awful and you can make donations here, here, and here.
The NAACP was one place that she posted for her
to go ahead and donate to, So there you have it.
She said, this kind of language is never acceptable. She said,
(07:32):
I will not let this moment derail my purpose of
uplifting my community.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
I'm standing firm and who I am.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
Who said that.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
I think that was that was her Orlandria This said that. Yeah,
Alandria said that that's what I'm saying. She put that
in her stories and then she also posted a link.
So that was her way of saying you sorry, donate
All right, now, everybody has reacted to this. You know,
Shelley reacted. I'm seeing what happened with the former Love
Island castmate and her partner laughing during a print call
that included a racist remark to Olunger.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
It was disappointing, to say the least.
Speaker 6 (08:03):
And Lewis, whose life statement was extended, his sincerious apologies
to all affected by the caller who used that language,
and he said, I was extremely shocked that someone would
so casually use harmful and dangerous language. And Herder and
I both recognized the immediate need to end the call.
All right, Well that is your eut. When we come back,
we have about last night where we discussed what we
did last night.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
It's where I found.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
About last night. I went down.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with Akeen Woods.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
What did it do?
Speaker 4 (08:32):
What was your night like last night?
Speaker 9 (08:34):
Last night?
Speaker 5 (08:35):
I didn't do anything earlier.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
You did it? No, I watched nothing on the TV.
Speaker 5 (08:38):

Speaker 7 (08:41):
A lot of it was blind. Oh it wasn't blind.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
Yeah, I love was blind. Yeah, it wasn't as messy
as I wanted it to be.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
What did you want? Well, I didn't see it yet,
I know it just came out.
Speaker 7 (08:49):

You remember remember Flavor of Love those reunions. I wanted that, Okay,

is inflagged.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
I want it.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
Yeah, twenty twenty visions.
Speaker 4 (09:11):
I would say, I don't, but I don't believe that
love is blind.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
It's not.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
The cancers have great conversations.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
He's improved, and none of them got married spoiler of girl.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
And you know how many times, like even when they
first saw each other, when someone proposed, there was a
couple of situations where you could tell, oh, that chemistry.
Speaker 5 (09:26):
Was not with the unfortunately with the agent guy.
Speaker 6 (09:29):

far that you're actually.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Like walking down the aisle because you knew he was
about to say And they.
Speaker 6 (10:08):
Made him such a meme when he realized that she
was not going to say yes after he gave his speech,
and that she just was looking like this is awkward.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
As soon as he got his behind in the cabinet,
I'd be like, oh, but we're not getting married.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
But why walk all the way down the aisle get
to there, let him give a speech and do all
of that. If you know you're not about to do this,
you don't just make up your mind right there in
that moment, Like it's not fair to the families, but
I guess it's reality.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
TV wanted to put the dress on they wrote us in.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
All right, Well, anyway, last night I was dealing with
a lot of different things. But I've also been packing
up clothes that I'm sending out to people, so because
I'm trying to get rid of stuff, so I have

the other day at home, I had just a huge
box of clothes and I was like, I just put
it outside and let.

put like a little locket or something.

It's a locket nothing.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
But anyway, what is a good idea for a last

Speaker 4 (15:09):
All right, thank you for calling. Bye, Hey Nick?
Speaker 9 (15:13):
What up? How's it going.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
What's a good idea for a last minute Halloween costume?
Speaker 9 (15:18):
Well, my friend and I are going as arguably one
of the biggest memes i'd say, of the year.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
So six seven memes, Oh gosh, oh gosh, what's your
costume consists of?
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Like are you going to be a six and he's
going to be a seven?
Speaker 9 (15:32):
We're getting like five dollars white T shirts, taking a
big marker and writing the number six on one T
shirt and then the number seven on the other one.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
Okay, that's easy. I like it.
Speaker 8 (15:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (15:44):
The bud as cheap as you could get for Halloween costume.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
That is basic, cheap as very six seven. Yeah.

Okay, all right, guys, keep calling in and letting us
know about your last minute Halloween costume. I dis is
because people definitely need it. And when we come back,
we have your yee t and six seven. That's a
big topic today. You just heard about that as a
costume idea.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Well, what does it mean? Where did it come from?
Speaker 6 (16:06):
Squerrilla is going to discuss that when we come back
in Yet it's way up.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
Angel is feeling that, yeete, come and get the tea.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here. I can't
what is this here?
Speaker 5 (16:17):
What did it do?
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Six seven?
Speaker 5 (16:19):
All right?
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Well, Scrilla has explained what does six seven even mean?
And how things went from being a negative thing to
a positive thing.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
You talked to double XL and here's what he had
to say about it.
Speaker 12 (16:31):
The meaning that I had for it was like a
negative and it changed from a negative thing to a
positive and like six seven is like everybody got their
own meaning to it, because I never put like a
real meaning on it. But six seven actually like come
from a neighborhood in my in Philadelphia, though, and that
is like went crazy and everybody got their own mean.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
People just say it.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
I've heard it means like so so, and from what
I'm seeing it means maybe this.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
Maybe that's even in the dictionary.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
Now.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
By the way, dictionary dot Com picked that as the
twenty twenty five word of the year.
Speaker 7 (17:05):
I'm officially old. Ye I don't use it in my
in my lingo at all.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
And well, here's the song that came from Dude sixty seven.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
That song sounds terrible.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
It's six seven.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
I hate I love it. I hate everything about that song.
I think it's terrible.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Have you ever heard the full song?
Speaker 7 (17:22):
I don't want to. If that's if that's the highlight
of it, you really are, that's fine.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
Squilla is not for me. I don't know who he is.
He don't know who I am. It's a very mutual situation.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Well, it's odd because he said you're one of his
favorite comedies.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
No, it's not. You don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
I'm kidding all right now.
Speaker 6 (17:39):
Kamala Harris was recently on the Diary of a CEO
podcast for her memoir One seven Days, and one of
the things that she talked about was when she realized,
and she says that she does have a good relationship
with Joe Biden, but there were certain times that he
greatly disappointed her.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
And here was one of them.
Speaker 13 (17:59):
On the day of the debate, the President calls and
I was told that he wanted to call me so
that I'd be ready, and I was so sure it
was to buck me up.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
Go get him.
Speaker 13 (18:09):
He did say that, and then he went on to
talk about a group of people in Pennsylvania who were
saying bad things about me because they heard I was
saying bad things about him. And when I hung up
the phone, I was just yes, I was angry and
deeply disappointed. It was so unnecessary.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
I'm about to have a big debate and then you
call me to tell me.
Speaker 7 (18:31):
Why would you call tell me anything negative before debate? Right,
that's like before I'm about to go on stage or
something like that, you called me tell me bad news
about I'm about to go and do an important job. Like, yeah,
that's total. I know, that's don't surprise. That seems like
somethingbody would do, you know.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
And now I'm about to go face Trump, but now
I got to face YouTube, Like that's crazy. That's the
way of saying, hey, stop talking, it's about me. Yeah,
that's really what that was, all right? And Aiden Ross
has broken his silence on this whole Drake Steak gambling
lawsuit that's happening right now. He's facing this lawsuit from
about the online casino, and he says that there is
(19:12):
nothing that is illegal.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
He said, there's nothing to talk about. You can look
into it.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
We have it.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 5 (19:19):
Read through the case yourself. It's it seems like somebody
if you guys can see what Asmin Gold said, because
someone said that to me, it's literally true, Like just
watch the Asthma Gold thing.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
So he's not concerned about it.
Speaker 6 (19:32):
This is a lawsuit from Missouri basically saying that online
gambling threatens the welfare of the residents and especially the
young people. And in this they're saying, basically, you're using
the house money to gamble.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
It's not even your own money.
Speaker 6 (19:45):
There, all right, well that is your Yet when we
come back under the radar, stories that are not necessarily
in the headlines, they're flying under the radar. This is
a critical time for so many different reasons, the hurricane
Hurricane Melissa, but also snap benefits.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
It's way up, who's this in the news that relates
to you? These stories are flying under the.
Speaker 6 (20:04):
Radar, all right, it's way put Angel Lagee, I'm here,
Aqim Woods is here, and let's get into some of
these you need to know about them under the radar stories.
Hurricane Melissa is now a humanitarian disaster and a recovery
challenge for the Caribbean. More than thirty people were killed
during this hurricane. Cuba is also calculating the costs after
(20:26):
the storm. Some seven hundred and thirty five thousand people
there spent the night in shelters. The storm was making
its way to the Bahamas and Bermuda this morning. There's
a shelter in place hurricane warning from both places. But
right now, for Jamaica and Cuba, the task of providing
aid to the communities is starting right now. We all
saw what the airport was looking like in Montego Bay.
(20:48):
So the UN World Food Program is going to deliver
two thousand emergency food boxes from Barbados as soon as
flights Regina Jamaica. That's going to feed about six thousand
people a week. The American Red Cross said they're operating
ambulances across Jamaica today, responding to emergencies and shelters and
taking people to hospitals. And there's a lot of different
initiatives going on right now, so we will keep you
(21:10):
updated on the ones that we know about. But Jamaica
is accepting donations to their official Hurricane Melissa Relief fund
as well.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Dang out to Jamaica, all.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Right, now.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
Walmart has announced Thanksgiving meals for under four dollars per
person and some more holiday grocery savings as well. And
you know, Bjay's Wholesale is also doing their annual free
turkey promo. Some members who spend one hundred and fifty
dollars on more on everything else, we'll get a free
butterball turkey, fresh or frozen.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
Costco has also started pre orders.
Speaker 6 (21:41):
For their complete gourmet Thanksgiving Turkey dinner that serves eight
people for twenty five dollars each right.
Speaker 4 (21:46):
Now, So that's not bad.
Speaker 6 (21:48):
Food banks are facing a perfect storm of surging demand
as the shutdown has been going on. But I do
want to say that I saw on CNN earlier today
that it's looking like there is a path now after
thirty days of gridlock, to end the government shut down.
So now they're discussing this, they're talking about having a
conversation with those involved in negotiations. You know, food stamp
(22:11):
benefits for millions of Americans are going to be paused
starting this weekend. Federal workers who are going unpaid are
very frustrated. So please have patients. I see a lot
of people posting from the airport. You know a lot
of those workers are working without pay right now, and
so it's causing all kinds of delays.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Yeah, I saw Atlanta like a seven hour delay or
something crazy.
Speaker 6 (22:31):
Yeah, but they are saying there's some type of path
now in conversations happening as people are suffering. So I
am just praying that that happens sooner than later. All right, Well,
coming up today, we also have Devin Haney joining us.
He's got a big fight happening in Saudi Arabia November
twenty second. He's still undefeated, let's be clear, but this
(22:52):
is for a championship belt welterweight and he's going to
be fighting Brian Norman Junior. And that's Brian Norman Junior's
biggest fight to date, so we'll be tuned in for that.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
But he'll be joining us today. So that's exciting. And
we got the way it mixed for you at the
top of the hour. Just like to talk like the
Angela Jean like they Angelie Jean.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Man, She's spilling it all.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
This is yet well, baby's way up at the Angela.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Ye, Keen Woods is here. We was just.
Speaker 5 (23:19):
Singing you call take us on roll?
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Can you take your gum out. You know we're on
the air.
Speaker 14 (23:23):
They can't tell her I have gone.
Speaker 6 (23:24):
Yes, we can spit your gum out on him. Come on,
it's okay, well you hold on, put it in your
hand or something. All right, let's get into this et
Wyaf and Lucci was recently on Perspectives with Bank and
he talked about being pressured to snitch on young Doug.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
Imagine what his career would have been like. Now here's
what he said.
Speaker 10 (23:43):
Trying to get you to tell on the other side,
tell on line on two min time. Fine, and she'll
trying to probably like you know, he little women tell her.
He he can be in a bed right now with something.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
We go home.
Speaker 10 (23:53):
Now, we're gonna let you out to day today right now.
You tell you you just tell me anything, So we're
gonna let you go home.
Speaker 8 (24:01):
I go home any way, man.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
Yeah, and listen.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
And like he said previously, they both lost people on
both sides. And I know, but you would to have
no like honestly, for Lucci, it wouldn't end well. And
so we commend him for that though, because there was
a lot going on, I mean, they tried to kill
him and jail he had all kinds of issues, So
shout out to wife and Lucci.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
All right, and B and Meth has been canceled.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
I think we all knew that was coming, right, There
was no question that that show was getting canceled.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
So fifty cent, of course, was trolling.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
He posted a picture a little meach holding his sinusays
out of work, and then he said, you know the
Vibe spinoffs on the way. Well, shout out to Da Vinci,
who also posted that the show was ending. But he's
been doing his thing, so shout out to DaVinci.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
He'll be fine.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
He know he does stand up. Also, oh, he started
working on that.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
You guys got to meet. Okay, he's super cool.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
All right, Now, speaking of movies and TV, I know
you're excited for Scream seven. The trailer Nick is excited
about it has just dropped.
Speaker 11 (25:04):
Now.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Scream seven is coming out on February twenty seventh, and
here's that trailer.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
I can't believe we're staying at the cycle killer.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
B and b.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Oh that's so cool. It's a motion detector.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Hello, hello Shire, could you miss sleep?
Speaker 9 (25:28):
So?
Speaker 6 (25:28):
Nev Campbell is back in this one, and it looks
like there is a new ghost face at.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
This point, I think they need to let it go.
Speaker 7 (25:38):
What I think it y'all keep getting killed by the
same dude with the masks like is I mean.
Speaker 6 (25:45):
It's what all horror movies are, really. I mean, are
you gonna do like but seven seven?
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Right?
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Something that works?
Speaker 5 (25:52):
I mean, I know it's somebody I won't be watching.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
All right.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
And for the first time in thirty five years, there
were no rap songs in the top forty on Billboard
and that's because Billboard had a recent rule change that
has ended that fell off the Billboard Hot one hundred chart.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
So it's just some new rules that they have.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
Billboard removed songs given the following parameters be low number
five after seventy eight weeks, number ten after fifty two weeks,
and number twenty five after twenty six weeks, and number
fifty after twenty weeks. So Luther was at number thirty
eight in it's final week, but it did not get
to number twenty five after twenty six weeks. I know
it's complicated. You got to kind of look at these numbers,
(26:31):
but these are new rules.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
I'm confused already.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
And that's why this is happening.
Speaker 6 (26:35):
And the last time that no rap songs were in
the top forty slots was the first week of February
in nineteen ninety. That's when biz Marky's hit Just a
Friend had just climbed.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
To number forty one nineteen ninety.
Speaker 6 (26:46):
Yes, all right, well that is your yet when we
come back, we have asked yea eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty any question? Me and Akeem got
you back. He's got the toxic side. I got the
practical side.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
Where let's do it, whether.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
It's relationship with koreer advice, Angela's dropping facts?
Speaker 2 (27:04):
You should you should know? This is aske what's up his.
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Way up at Angela? Yeah, I'm here, akem Whizz is here?
Speaker 5 (27:09):
What ad do? Boo car?
Speaker 6 (27:11):
All right and it's time for ask ye Now we
have Sharon on the line.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
Hey Sharon, Hey, what app You got a question for
me and Akeim?
Speaker 11 (27:19):
My boyfriend and my female best friend do not get along?
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Why don't they get along?
Speaker 8 (27:25):
She don't like the way he as She thinks he's
really loud and ghetto and he is not for me.
Speaker 11 (27:33):
She don't like him for me.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Okay, and how long have you all been friends? You
and your best friend.
Speaker 9 (27:37):
Over eight years?
Speaker 4 (27:38):
How long have you been with your man?
Speaker 11 (27:40):
Three years?
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Sharon? Is he loud in ghetto?
Speaker 9 (27:43):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Yo?
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (27:44):
I like okay, all right, we like it.
Speaker 8 (27:47):
Okay, So.
Speaker 7 (27:49):
What's the what's going on with your with your boyfriend,
with your best friend, with your birthday?
Speaker 11 (27:53):
My best friend though, we always go out of town
for birthdays and I told her I couldn't do it
this year. I'm saying a fall back, maybe just coming
at home. So she like, nah, I think I can,
you know, pull the cruise for us. I'm like, that
ain't the way she said it, you know what I'm saying.
So now I'm like I better say something to her, like, look,
is you trying to uninvite or not have him come?
(28:15):
You know what I'm saying? Or how can we make
this so everybody can be cool?
Speaker 8 (28:19):
Because I feel like it's gonna come to Yeah, I
hope he don't come.
Speaker 5 (28:23):
How long of a cruise is it?
Speaker 9 (28:25):
Oh?
Speaker 11 (28:25):
Talking about Friday?
Speaker 4 (28:27):
Is it on your birthday that this cruise is happening
or is it later?
Speaker 9 (28:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (28:31):
My birthday by the way, January. It's in January?
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Are you a CA And yes, I know that's my goat.
Speaker 9 (28:41):
Here. We had to go.
Speaker 8 (28:42):
But see here, the thing is, are we twaying months
in advent and he kind of get on don't know
how to plan month in advent.
Speaker 11 (28:49):
So he usually don't have the time. He usually gonna
have the money, and I'm not trying to bank on
that this time. It's too beautiful a cruise to be
doing all that. So I'm trying to knock out the
question right away, okay, trying to figure out how I
go about passing her. Okay, sure he invited because I
feel like it's my birthday, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
But it's her gift to you.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
And I want to say a couple of things here
because this is one of my friends my man does
not like, so I really do try to like keep
them not together. I also believe it is okay to
sometimes not have.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Your man around.
Speaker 6 (29:22):
He don't got to. It's okay for you to miss him.
It's okay for you to do things without him. It's
okay to spend time with your best friend. And he
should be okay. He should want you to do that,
just like your best friend should know that this is
time for me and my man. Now, your man should
plan something for you also, and that don't got to
involve your best friend. But I just think that if
your best friend wants to do something with the two
(29:43):
of you, I don't think.
Speaker 4 (29:45):
That's a bad thing.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
I went on a girl trip without my man and
he was like, have a great time, and if your
man loves you, trust you, he should be okay with
you doing that and encourage that she plans something for
your birthday.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
He don't even like her, right, and she paid for
your trip?
Speaker 6 (30:02):
Yeah, more than like like she's doing giving you a gift.
I would be so annoyed if my friend bought her
man who I don't like, on our trip that I
paid for.
Speaker 11 (30:11):
I agree, Okay, cool, well, thank you.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Okay at the early birthday, baby, thank you?
Speaker 4 (30:17):
All right, go cap Remember Jesus was a Capricorn too.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
He is and he leaves me every day. Thank you
for calling your day off.
Speaker 7 (30:26):
Bye.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
All right, Well that was ask ye eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty. You can always leave
a message and get through that way. And when we
come back, Devin and Hany's going to be joining us.
He's got a big fight coming up in Saudi Arabia.
That's happening November twenty second versus Brian Norman JUNR. He's
going to be talking to us about everything. Okay, it's
way up and no.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Bed who about to do this?
Speaker 1 (30:48):
One of lemos to famous women in radio audiomen and
we're talking about Angela Ye.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
You're way up with Angela Yee. Please believe that.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (30:56):
His way up for Angela Yee. And look who's in
the building today. Devin Hanes here. Thank you for stopping through, Thank.
Speaker 14 (31:02):
You for having me.
Speaker 6 (31:02):
I will need to start this off with something that
your dad put on social media. He said, no fighter
in modern boxing history has achieved, but Devin Handy has
by the age of twenty six, undefeated thirty two and
oh two division world champion, beat seven world champions, beat
three unified champions, beat a former pound for pound number
one Lomachenko, and self promoted with his father outside major
promoter systems.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Who else has done this? Sometimes I think people.
Speaker 6 (31:25):
Forget how young you still are because you started so young,
and them even changing the rules for you to even
be able to fight.
Speaker 14 (31:32):
They just forget.
Speaker 15 (31:33):
At the end of the day, a lot of the
twenty six year olds are prospects. Some guys come out
Olympics at twenty six, you know, so they're barely just
turning pro. But I'm younger than everybody, all these guys,
all the champions, everybody except for one, but by far
the most accomplished out of the young guys. And I
just want to keep my foot on the gas and
keep accomplishing more and more.
Speaker 9 (31:53):
Well.
Speaker 6 (31:53):
November twenty second, Saudi Arabia is the Nighted Champions. You
versus Brian Norman Junior. This is definitely his big fight
of his career against you. What made him the most
valuable opponent at this time.
Speaker 14 (32:04):
The fight that I really wanted was the Brian Garcia fight.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
He wants that too.
Speaker 15 (32:09):
Yeah, yeah, that was what it was all set up for.
We were both signed to do that fight. Then he
lost to Roy and that trump that fight, and then
the next best guy was was tia Fimo. I was signed,
ready to go, and then he backed out of negotiations.
He said a way, you know, it wasn't something that
he wanted to do. So the next best guy was
Brian Norman. He's the best guy. I want forty seven
(32:31):
and I'm going up and wait. So once I beat him,
then I become the top dog. I've become back on
the throne right now.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
The champ is here, Devin Haney, He's gotta fight coming
up November twenty second in Saudi Arabia. He said, back
on the throne. So this is something to you that
you feel like you really have to prove something. This
is a major because it has to go the way
that you needed to go.
Speaker 15 (32:50):
When I said, I mean like just as champion right now,
I'm not championing right because I released my belt at
one forty. So now I still got the you know,
the challenger mentality. I'm back to that, and I gotta
go beat the champion. We've seen Brian Norman knock a
guy out and his last fight, cold were left. But
he's strong. Everything that they say that it's kryptonite to
Devin Haney, he.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
Has right, So you're not ducking it.
Speaker 14 (33:13):
When I win, I'm gonna give my credit.
Speaker 6 (33:15):
Yeah, you're gonna go back in the comments and talk
to people like you.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
We're gonna let Bill Haynes do that.
Speaker 14 (33:22):
In the perfect world, I would do that. I would
like in my mind, I want to do that. I
want to do that, but no, I wouldn't do that.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
How has being a girl, Dad changed you.
Speaker 14 (33:30):
I wouldn't say it really changed me. In the beginning,
it was a bit hard.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
You know we've seen yeah.
Speaker 15 (33:36):
Yeah, yeah, it was a bit hard. But everything is,
you know, under control now. So I'm happy about it.
You know, I've been able to spend you know, time
with my daughter and be with her, and you know,
she's a blessing. That was the most important thing to me.
You know, she's being able to spend time and you know,
be with her and you know, and cherish these moments
that you know, watching her grow. So you know, now
(33:58):
that I'm able to do that, I'm happy about it.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
And so you're in a good space now. You guys
have worked everything out. I know it bothers you to
have all that online because that's not even the vibe
that Devin Haney's on, Like, yeah, no.
Speaker 15 (34:12):
I mean at the end of the day, me and
my my daughter's mother, we got, you know, eighteen years
to deal with each other. So I'm happy that we
came to understanding. I got nothing but love for her
and I want her to, you know, just make sure
that she's a good mom to my daughter. And you know,
I'm forever gonna you know, look out for her, make
sure she's straight longest. You know, she doing what she's
(34:33):
supposed to do, you know, for my daughter what she is.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
And yeah, all right.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Devin Haney is here and of course we have more
with him when we come back. We're getting ready for
his big fight November twenty second in Saudi Arabia on
his own.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
It's way out.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
We're about to do this one of the memos to
trame this women in radio audio and we're talking about
Angela here.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
You're way up with Angela ye. Please believe that.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
What's up is way up with Angela Yee.
Speaker 6 (34:58):
And Devin Haney is here getting ready for his big
boxing match in Saudi Arabia November twenty second. It feels
like the tides really changed with the Ryan Garcia and
when you look back at like a lot of things
that were happening before that fight, like him missing weight
and just a lot of drama. Was there ever an
intuition that was like maybe I should not do this
(35:19):
because then we did find out that he was taking
osteen And people still downplay that too, like they'll act
like that was no big deal. It was a small amount,
It didn't affect anything.
Speaker 14 (35:29):
It was a lot of signs.
Speaker 6 (35:30):
Yeah, there was a lot going on, and it was like,
because you could have said I'm not doing this, and
you would have been well within your rights to do that.
Speaker 15 (35:36):
I mean at times I did say that, and before
the fight, we were projected to make a lot more
money than what we did, but Brian, you know, started
with his antics and then she just got a lot
of people turned off from the fight. So it wasn't
even like we even like made crazy money like we
were supposed to.
Speaker 6 (35:51):
So I think they were saying thirty six million or
something like that. It was, yeah, I'm just trying to listen.
Speaker 14 (35:59):
Yeah, yeah, no, that it was it was supposed to
make that.
Speaker 15 (36:03):
Obviously we make we make good money, but we we
didn't make thirty six million dollars whatever. But I learned
a lot in that fight. I learned a lot about myself.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
But as you learn, would you say, I mean, you
never know.
Speaker 15 (36:14):
Somebody can take a punch until they get hit, And
you know, I got hit against a guy who was
on PDS and I got back up every time.
Speaker 14 (36:20):
You know, I showed my heart and.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
I've never seen you in that position before.
Speaker 14 (36:24):
I was yeah, I'm sure I've never been in that position.
Speaker 5 (36:26):
I learned more in.
Speaker 15 (36:27):
That fight than I did pretty much from all my
my victories. I changed a lot and I'm happy about it.
Speaker 6 (36:33):
It's interesting to me that you would give him the
chance to fight again, like after everything that happened, you
feel like you still want to prove if everything's on
the up and up I can.
Speaker 15 (36:43):
Yeah, well, it's a lot of you know, unanswered questions
in that fight. I want to write my wrongs in
that fight. I'm sure he wants you to. He want
to prove that it wasn't PDS or whatever, which it was.
But I want to prove that, you know, pds do matter,
and that I'm a far more better fighter than him.
And like I said, it's just unfinished basiness.
Speaker 14 (37:01):
It's just question.
Speaker 15 (37:02):
Marks on that fight, and the world wants to see
that fight. So I think that is one of the
biggest fights in boxing, and it's gonna happen in.
Speaker 4 (37:09):
Due tail at some point.
Speaker 5 (37:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
Right now, the champ is here, Devin Haney.
Speaker 6 (37:12):
He's gonna fight coming up November twenty second in Saudi Arabia.
You know, it's interesting watching everything that's happening with boxing
right now, seeing these Netflix fights that people have been doing.
We also see Floyd Mayweather and Manupacciow. Is that something
you think now you would be interested in seeing?
Speaker 15 (37:27):
Yeah, I mean, of course I would, definitely I would.
What I say, it's one of the best fights in boxing.
Speaker 14 (37:34):
No, but what is it?
Speaker 15 (37:35):
An entertaining fight people want to see? You know, what
Floyd is gonna show up, what Manny's gonna show up.
We haven't seen Floyd in years, like you know, in
a real fight, So it's definitely an intriguing fight.
Speaker 14 (37:46):
And I'm a tune in for sure.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
What about Javonte Davis versus Jake.
Speaker 15 (37:50):
Paul I'm gonna tune in for sure. It's just like,
I don't know how it's gonna work. Jake is so
much bigger than Tank, but Tank has way more experienced
tam with boxing since he was a little kid. So
it's still an intriguing fight even though it's not. It's
not a real fight's exhibition.
Speaker 14 (38:05):
I'm gonna you're.
Speaker 6 (38:06):
Still gonna, Yeah, you're entertained by it. Would you want
to see Clarisa Shales versus Laila Ali?
Speaker 15 (38:10):
I love Laila, but she need to stay away to
stay away from Flarissa's She said, away from her all right?
Speaker 6 (38:18):
Well, November twenty second in Saudi Arabia, the Night of
Champions and it's gonna be Devin Haney versus Brian Norman Jr.
