Speaker 3 (03:56):
Not yet, No, that's tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Kurti B and Caurti B is talking about the features
for her new album, am I the Drama, But then
it seems like there might be some drama behind that.
It's way up, they say in the rooms, from industry shade.
Speaker 6 (04:10):
To all the gossip out send Angela's feeling that.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
All right? His way up with Angela. Ye, it is
drama in here today. Am I the Drama? Jasmine brand
is here.

I'm not just any brand on my own brand.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Mano's here, No man, no man? Are you the drama?
Speaker 11 (04:26):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Speaking of which, Cardi B's album, am I the Drama?
I feel like she's been going overtime with the promo.
Not mad at it.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
I like.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
She's been doing really great, like great conversations, good content.
Here is what she had to say when she was
on Twitter spaces about not chasing people down for features.
Speaker 9 (04:46):
A lot of these artists are underestimated this album. I
can do nothing about it. I'm not going one thing
I don do is I'm not going to beag nobody.
If y'all want of these artists on the album. Well,
maybe you y'all should call them, because I call them
and everything. I can go people and everything. A lot
of people on the amate me.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Well, I will tell you. She put out who's on
the album? Yes, Cash Cobain, Janet Jackson. I saw somewhere
it says that this is the first time Janet Jackson
has featured on another woman's albums. They've she's had features
on hers. I don't know if that's too I gotta
dig into that.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I don't know. I gotta look and say.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
They said Janet, it'll be doing features.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Kill Annie Nice, Lizzo of course, Megan the Stallion, Hello,
Selena Gomez, Summer Walker, and Tyler. So the only guy
is Cash Cobain. I know that's gonna be in some
sexy drill all right now. In addition to that, she
did a sit down Spotify interview with Kelly Rowland where
she got into a lot of different things. She talked
(05:42):
about a situation, you know, offset cheated.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
He's admitted that he's admitted as much.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
And here's what she had to say because of hers More,
when it's somebody that you thought you was cool with.
Speaker 9 (05:54):
Sometimes when I see like a new look coming up
with something and I feel like they kind of cool,
and I thought people be dragging them. I'd be sliding
their dms, like because like, hey, you know this temporary,
this is a good and bad thing, good and bad thing. Well,
sometimes you gotta know how to do it with because
I have done that too. That don't when my man
and all that. So it's like you gotta know who
you be nice to.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
You can you imagine?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
You should have seen Kelly's face. Kelly's so funny. Everybody
is speculating on who she could be talking about.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
So I know who I think it is. I'd rather
not say not.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
You, okay.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
In addition to that, she talked about somebody that she
got advice from because she was in a really low
place where she literally felt like she couldn't work, cancel everything.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Here's what she had to say.
Speaker 9 (06:44):
I even talked to Shakira and I was like, how
do you get over this funk? And she was like
it takes time, but it's like it almost felt like
whatever people experience when they going through like withdraw and
like they're throwing up, Like I feel like I was
withdrawing love.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
That's painful.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Withdrawal you physically get it.
Speaker 5 (07:03):
Sounds she was depressed.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
So that's that's a bar. Cardi with drawing love you
love withdraw.
Speaker 11 (07:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Well, she also announced her Little Miss Drama tour, so
she literally just put that out of Stutch February eleventh
and Palm Desert, California. Then she's in Vegas, La, Portland.
She ends in Atlanta on April seventeenth, So you can
go look at her timeline. Why so far, what tool
it's starting. She's waiting to after the holidays. And if
(07:33):
you know Carti, you know she's got to make sure
she's got her choreography right.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
She's got to get her set together.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
She needs some time to plan.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Yeah, she got a plan. All right, Well that is
your yet when we come back, we have about last night.
Mana was in Vegas and it looks like he is
fresh still. I remember when Reje had that rent from Yes, yes,
I feel like we're going to get that from me.
But let's talk about it about last night is next,
it's way up.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
So about last night I went down.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Way up at Intel. Here, Jasmine brand is here, Mayo's here,
may know. How was the fight in Vegas?
Speaker 10 (08:11):
Fight was good? It was crazy though, I.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Tell us your bag got stolen.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
Oh no, that's terrible.
Speaker 10 (08:18):
As soon as I landed, my bag got stolen, so
I had nothing else.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
So you checked that bag and it got stolen off
the thing that okay, somebody took it.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Do we know anything about any any who took it?
Speaker 3 (08:27):
On the picture picture?
Speaker 10 (08:29):
Somebody took it. I walked right out of it.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
All right, you go, how did that work?
Speaker 10 (08:34):
Don't work?
Speaker 5 (08:34):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (08:35):
You know the truth is it doesn't work.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Anybody could take anybody's bag and then just and walk
out with it. I know it's some airports that you
said check like to see if you have the right bag,
but they don't. One time I took the wrong bag Vegas,
I had to come back.
Speaker 5 (08:52):
I've done that before too.
Speaker 12 (08:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
The airport called me like do you have because I
guess the person got my bag, the.
Speaker 10 (08:58):
Same thing that happened to me. I was in Las
Vegas before it took the room bag.
Speaker 12 (09:02):
But the hotel purposely took your bag. This is what
I hesitant about having designer bags like that.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
I know you didn't. You didn't have a choice but
to check the bag, but it makes because I feel
like it draws attention.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
You had a Louis VI the time bag, so they
knew something was in there.
Speaker 13 (09:13):
They're like, you know, we know he got but I
don't want to. I don't want to victim blame. Okay,
don't victim blame, don't victim share. They are they going
to reimburse you?
Speaker 5 (09:24):
What is happening is okay, that's what I was wondering,
Like how that works?
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Okay, because usually there's a limit of what they'll reimburse you.
He's going to the max with it because he had
a lot of nice stuff in there and chick it
to the max.
Speaker 11 (09:35):
Give me my money, man.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Well, I was actually because everybody up here was telling
me the show was really good.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
So yesterday I started watching Unknown Number. Okay, what's that on?
So that is on?
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Is it on Netflix? It's on Netflix. So it's this
girl in high school. Oh I saw it, and somebody
keeps sending these crazy text messages to.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Her and her boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Like literally over a year this is going on, and
the police had to get involved.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
I didn't finish it yet.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
Okay, I don't.
Speaker 10 (10:01):
Happen to me.
Speaker 8 (10:03):
Nobody made a documentary.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
About that high schoolers and they're literally sending these explicit
messages threatening to kill her, tell us she's nothing.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
I can't wait till you finish it, Angela.
Speaker 8 (10:14):
And we find out, Yo, somebody was doing that talking
about a girl to me, Oh, you keep playing with
this girl?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Who was it?
Speaker 5 (10:26):
You al us about this? I feel like it was
a girl.
Speaker 8 (10:28):
So imagine somebody keep telling me sending me messages about.
Speaker 10 (10:31):
You for like a year, but it was it was you.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
I remember there was a story where there was a
girl who was getting these crazy text messages and it
was her mom sending it.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Do you remember that story?
Speaker 5 (10:43):
That's terrible.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
So anyway, you know what, let's talk about it, because
clearly this is an issue.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, And I want to ask you.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Have you ever had a situation where some marine you
don't know who it was, an anonymous, unknown person is
sending you crazy messages and it's just NonStop and you
don't know who it is. Did you find out who
it was or or did you still to this day
not know? But has that ever happened to you where
you were getting all these messages?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
It definitely happened to me.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Yeah as well.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty call us up.
Maybe you've seen this show on Netflix Unknown Number, but
it just it was awful and it's really hard to
find out who it is. I had a crazy situation
the cops had to get involved with eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty call us up to do this?
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Yeah, yeah, I'm more way up with Angela ye on
now it is.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yes, it's way up with Angela. Ye. I'm here, Jasmine
Brand is here.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
It's not just any brand. I'm my own.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Manos in the building.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Yeah, no, may not.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
And we are talking about the show Unknown Number.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
And have y'all ever been stalked by somebody on social
media text messages?
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Yes, I have, Yeah, I definitely have.
Speaker 11 (11:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (11:48):
I feel like it was Jasmine doing it.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
And definitely it was. It would never be me, man.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
I had a situation where this person was sending deliveries
to my house or wherever I would be at food deliveries,
but it was like that she didn't prepay for it.
So one night, in the middle of the night, it
was like two am, a pizza person was banging on
the door so hard I thought he was going to
break the door down.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
And it would be like I would go to record
lip service.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
They would come there, you know, I would be at work,
and then they were posting my family's address and then
posting pictures of like a coffin saying they were gonna kill.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
My final did you find out who it was?
Speaker 2 (12:20):
I had to get the police involved, and I did
find out who it was, and her avatar was like
a white man, and so the police told me usually
when somebody does that, it's the exact opposite. So it
was a black woman. She was a college girl, and
I ended up searching her name. They told me who
she was, and then I hit up her mother on Facebook.
I found her on Facebook, and then I also DMed
(12:41):
her back with her phone name, like I know it's you,
and I don't know there's something that you could there
was something mentally wrong with I don't know her. She's
like some random girl. All right, Well, Nicole, what happened
with you?
Speaker 7 (12:54):
So basically I was getting calls for almost like two
years with a person were like call me teuch me
describe different situations like this guy'sing like where my child
went to school, where my dad, my child did different activities,
and they were just like, oh hi, they were messing
on my men this, that, and the third. I ended
(13:14):
up going to the police. The police were no help
really at all. They basically was just like, oh, you
can either change your number or like, why don't you
listen to your man, Like it's probably your man. I
went to the phone company, changed my phone company, changed
my number a whole bunch of times. I ended up
having to call my best friends and like private my
number of club just like I don't know who keep
(13:35):
getting out my number some to find out. One day,
I get a call on my birthday and me and
my birth friend like they're looking at each other and
I'm like, oh, what's happening again, and she's like, oh, yeah,
I messing with your man. I know exactly where you
guys are at. At that time, that at trap call
had just came out, so we downloaded a chap call
and it basically unmasked the number. I kind of knew
(13:56):
the number, but I was one hundred percent sure. So
I called my baby baddies and I was like, Hey.
Speaker 9 (14:00):
Can you tell me it was is SO and those number?
Speaker 7 (14:03):
And she's like, Okay, hold on, I want to call
it right back, so she hangs up. She doesn't tall that,
so then I called that and then with fifty answers,
and I'm like, hey, like I just want to know
if this is so and so those number and she's like, oh,
my mom doesn't want to get involved.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
But right then and there, I knew who it was.
Speaker 7 (14:19):
It ended up being my baby baddy's baby mother.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
Oh I thought I thought it was gonna be your
baby daddy's mom.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
That's been crazy.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
She had that much time on her hands, and that
was jealousy and hating her heart to do that two
years alone.
Speaker 7 (14:36):
So how is he basically look like telling me like
how he was a part of it, Like he was
like telling her like, yeah, call her now, call her?
Speaker 5 (14:43):
Naw, do you believe was was he really involved?
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (14:47):
Like he like he was the one that was giving
her my number because that's my baby Daddy's.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Want my number? What did they say when you confronted them?
Speaker 7 (14:57):
She kind of was just like the fucking for a
long time. So then years later, like I confronted her
about it and she was just like, yeah, I'm really safty,
Like he kind of puts a body in my big
he was telling you to do it, And so she
just went with this and I'm.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Wow, what a bow Yeah, that's that's bum behavior. What
a bone exactly.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
I'm glad you figured out who it was though, Yeah,
that's crazy. For two years, it's a long time. Oh,
I'm glad it's over and that you figured it all out.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
Freaking bone.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Yes, thank you, all right, thanks for Colin. All right.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Well yeah, and you guys can always leave a message
eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty and
you can weigh in for last word. And we do
want to say rest in peace to Robert Redford. We'll
talk about that more in Yee Tea and I'm ill also
talk about all of these podcast love stories. There's a
couple of them right now. Okay, yes, it's way up.
Speaker 6 (15:44):
Sure she's about to blow the lead above this, but
just get it. Oh yeah, Angela's building that.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Yeezee, come and get to sea.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
It's way up, but Angela, yee, I'm here. Jasmine brand
is here.
Speaker 12 (15:53):
I'm not just any brand on my own brand new man,
no new Man no, and.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Ye tea time.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Kayla Ray was on with Justin the Boy, and I
do want to say that I saw pictures of them together.
He posted where he's like hugging her from behind and
he put my koy with the heart I saw. He
also gave her credit for making songs that go viral
on TikTok, and even though she was being criticized, he
basically said she was the first person who did that.
Speaker 5 (16:21):
Okay, she got to be one of the one of
the first, right.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
And then in addition to that, she talked about how
Trippy Red cheated on her while she was pregnant, but
she kind of wishes she would have handled things differently.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Here's what she said, what is your relationship like right now?
Speaker 14 (16:34):
Is cold parenting?
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Trying to figure it out?
Speaker 5 (16:35):
We're still new parents.
Speaker 11 (16:37):
Friends absolutely, Yeah, on communicate like how does how does
it work?
Speaker 3 (16:42):
We're cold parents?
Speaker 11 (16:43):
But how does cold parenting work? You bring your kid.
Speaker 5 (16:48):
Your daughter if it has nothing to do with me.
Speaker 10 (16:51):
You know that changes over time and it gets cool
at some points, at other points.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
It's ways ways Okay, it's a roller coaster that is down. Listen.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
I don't know too many people who have had a
smooth cold parent You have, Jazmine amazing, probably have the
smoothest cold parenting situation.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
Yeah, shout out to Meyer. Yes I do.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
My hat goes off to Maya because yeah, I like,
I like that guy. Jasmine is not easy. I'm kidding.
I'm kidding, kid, and then the hand in the round
of the pause is crazy. Okay, you know all right now.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Kicky Palmer was on Hot Ones and she really made
Sean Evans day with this one, because he's had a
long time crush on her and he's talked about it
on multiple occasions.
Speaker 5 (17:38):
You ever had a crush on the guest Palmer?
Speaker 3 (17:41):
That's ky.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
I can see why Kiki Palmer is like fun, She's silly,
she's talented.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, I thought he was.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
I thought he was. I didn't know he had this
was He's been.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Saying this previously. In addition to that, you know, there
was a lot of chemistry.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
As a matter of fact, last year, Kiki Palmer told
people that she learned about that question, that she was
living for it, and that they had good chemistry.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Well here's what happened. When she was on Hot Ones.
Speaker 14 (18:08):
I saw an interview where you said, like, I was
your favorite guest, you know, all this really sweet stuff,
and I know we've just had some wings, but I
thought that maybe we could just have a quick smooch
to see let's do it.
Speaker 11 (18:21):
Let's do it.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
She's been on the show three times.
Speaker 10 (18:23):
Quick smooch that quick smooch.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
It's so funny to me.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
I feel like, you know, obviously, I feel like this
was planned because you can't write yeah you need smoozing.
After Wings is dedication to yeah, after some hot wings
like you got all these standards like.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
You Okay, okay, it does all right now.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Adrian Brouner was recently on It Is What It Is,
and Cameron had to ask him to leave respectfully.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Here's what happened to.
Speaker 15 (18:51):
Look so good and perfect? Yeah what you wish that?
I love you now your Oh okay, we can move
on the football that Oh my god. All right, Hey,
we're gonna have to actually we'll go.
Speaker 10 (19:08):
I'm not doing it again.
Speaker 11 (19:09):
Actually the first song. I don't have no problems with you.
I'm gonna play you for your talk.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
Okay, that's fair.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Listen, he told him several times.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Stopped flirting with stat right, yeah, And that's uncomfortable sometimes,
and I know people would be like, oh she was laughing.
She like, sometimes you're just so uncomfortable you laugh. Just
try to like laugh it off so you can like
keep it moving because you don't know what to do.
In that moment and then you look back and you're like, man,
I should have did this, I should have said this.
So it is nice that Cameron actually made sure that
he had her back.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Yeah, he had her.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Back because some people would not, So shout out to
him for that. All right, now, bad bunny. His residency
made seven hundred and thirteen million dollars economic impact on
portam though, so last week he was scheduled to wrap
everything up. He kicked off that residency, which initially was
thirty shows. Today he announced that he's adding one more show,
so that's going to be happening on September twenty. Imagine
(20:01):
that seven hundred and thirteen million dollars economic impact. And
let's not forget he is not coming over here because
he doesn't want his audience members.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
To get arrested by ice or get raided by ice.
Speaker 10 (20:13):
Yeah wow.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
He said he could have made a ton of money,
but instead that money is in Puerto Rico, which is
part of the United States, by the way, But yeah,
all right, that is your Yet when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar.
You definitely need to know about them.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
A black student was found hanging from a tree at
Delta State University.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
We are going to give you the details. Its way
up the news.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
This in the news that relates to you.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
All right, it's way yeah, put in Antela. He I'm here,
Jasmine brand is here, yes, Mayno's here.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
No man.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
And according to reports, a black student from Delta State
University was found hanging from a tree on campus Monday mornings.
Speaker 11 (20:58):
Awful.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
De Trey Reid, who's twenty one years old, has been
identified as the person and it was near the pickleball course.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
They said there is no evidence of foul play.
Speaker 10 (21:09):
I don't see how no evidence of foul play?
Speaker 11 (21:12):
Yeah, you think he did that to himself?
Speaker 2 (21:15):
I'm not sure, But the president said, we extend the
president of Delta State University, not our president. We extend
our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of all
those impacted by Trey's lass. So they are now doing
an investigation with the Cleveland Police Department. Wow, okay, man,
my prayers.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
That is awful.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
That's terrible to have to you know, deal with all right.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Now, Donald Trump is suing The New York Times for
fifteen billion dollars. He says that they defamed him while
serving as a quote full throated mouthpiece of the Democrat
Party during the twenty twenty four election.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Full throated, yeah, full course, all right.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
And he's saying, I view it as the single largest
illegal campaign contribution ever. Endorsement of Kamala Harris was actually
put dead center on the front page of the New
York Times, something heretofore unheard of.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
They're allowed to endorse whoever they want.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
You took out an ad that was fake in the
paper for the Central Park five calling for the like that.
Speaker 5 (22:17):
Was full throwed it.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
You know what I'm saying, Like, if you want to
talk about something that is awful and something that was libel, it.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Was that you've never even apologized and.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
You still act like you didn't do anything wrong, right,
So like the nerve of doing something like that. But
he says his reputation was damaged. You can't really prove
that because you quote unquote won the presidency, So how
was your reputation damage? And he also wants punitive damages
in addition to that fifteen billion dollars in an amount
(22:50):
to be determined upon trial of this action and legal fees.
I feel like everybody's been settling against him too, and
so maybe he's doing this and hoping that he'll get
a settlement. Because he did have a lawsuit against ABC
News he settled there for fifteen million, and also against
Paramount over the interview they did with Kamala Harris that
would settled for sixteen million dollars. And he has a
(23:12):
ten billion dollar case against the Wall Street Journal.
Speaker 10 (23:14):
Right now, we in wrong business. We need to just
start suming publications.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
All right, Well that is you're under the radar. We
do have the way it mixed for you at the
top of the hour. Plus, Tyreka Weathers.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Is gonna be joining us.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
He is the main character opposite Marlon Wayne's in the
movie Him that is out September nineteenth, so we're gonna
get into it and he's pretty amazing.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
So congratulations to him. Is way up.
Speaker 14 (23:38):
Just like the talk like they Angela Jean, like they
Angela jee Man.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, it's way ya put Angela Yee. I'm here, Jasmine
brand is here.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
It's not just I'm my own brand.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
So you're not gonna wake Mano up. Nope, okay, Hi Mano,
Hey Mano, wake that up. All right, let's get into
this yet. You don't know where he is is right now.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
According to reports, LimeWire has acquired fire Festival.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
I don't know if you guys women line.
Speaker 5 (24:09):
They used to like you download music and it was
like illego.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
I remember people were getting busted for our producer Dan
was busted for Listen. We had an intern when I
worked as Serious and they came up there looking for
the intern.
Speaker 11 (24:20):
I got a letter in the mail.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Oh that's it.
Speaker 11 (24:22):
Yeah, it was like a threat.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
It was basically it's aunt.
Speaker 11 (24:25):
It stopped. It also crashed my computer.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
I didn't even know LimeWire was still around. So this
makes perfect sense. What about the rights, Yes, they bought
the rights. They have acquired the fire Festival brand. So
you kim join the wait list right now and become
the first person to receive updates about the reimagining of Firefest.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
Goodness.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
But you know, they had a whole bidding on eBay
to acquire the IP and it actually sold for like
two hundred and forty five thousand dollars. They did not
disclose which company ultimately won the auction, but now.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
We know who it is. Interesting people really wanted that
ip all right.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Now Bill Cosby has listed his second New York townhouse
for twenty nine million dollars. It's about to get four
closed on. So he put the second of his two
New York City townhouses on the market. He also was
accused of defaulting on a seventeen point five million dollar
loan that was taken out against that property.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
That is crazy, that's what. Yeah, that's in manattan.
Speaker 10 (25:20):
Okay, hold up, they must have Bill cost me money
to the point.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
It's like that, who is who is they?
Speaker 11 (25:25):
The people?
Speaker 10 (25:25):
It was always then the Royal Bay, all.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Right, all right, So he bought this house for six
point three million back in nineteen ninety and that was
his primary residence for many years.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
But they did not repay that money that was owed.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
They actually said they had until December twelfth to repay
money owed, and they said that no payment was made.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Crazy.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
How it can balloon from you purchasing something for six
point three million to now owing seventeen point five that's bad. Yeah,
that's down bad for real. So somebody's going to purchase
that property, Okay, Kochela twenty twenty six. That lineup has
been announced. Amongst the people, Sabrina Carpenter is Day one headliner,
than Justin Bieber is Day two, and Carol g is
(26:05):
Day three. Also on Day three is Young Thug by
the way, so should be interesting to see in the
midst of everything that's happened. But Young Thug, how all
of this is going to affect his fan base and
even his relationships in the industry, But he is going
to be one of the main acts on Night three
of Coachella again.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
That's going to be.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Friday, April tenth and seventeen tenth through the twelfth, and
then the seventeenth through the nineteen Chella.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Yeah, Coachella. That's in California, always.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Going out in the desert.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
I've never been all right.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
And Dreamgirls the revival is heading to Broadway in the
fall of twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
I am definitely going to see that.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
It's the first ever newly directed in choreographed Broadway revival.
It is going to be directed in choreographed by Camille A. Brown,
so shout out to her for that.
Speaker 5 (26:56):
I can't wait for that.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Now they are looking for talented women of all shapes
and sizes. The auditions are going to be in New York, LA, Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, Miami, London, Toronto,
Mexico City, Amsterdam, Rome.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
And Paris. So if you have the skills and the voice,
you can go on in.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
And the Tender swindler has been announced arrested. It's announced
he's been arrested after he got convicted of scamming women
out of millions of dollars on the dating app Tender.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
He's been arrested again.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
According to his attorney, he was arrested at the airport
following the issuance of a red notice that's an international alert.
They did not elaborate on why he was taken into custody,
but he has been traveling freely around the world.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
So even his attorney is like, I'm not sure what's
going on and what's.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
Happening with that.
Speaker 10 (27:42):
Did you watch the documentary?
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Yes, you know it's crazy because now they have the
Love con fraud docuseries on Netflix.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
I don't know if you guys have watched that.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
We actually had Shariza who's one of the women featured
on there on here and one of the women from
Tender swindler that got swindled.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
She's also a host on there to help and the
other women.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
And so it's just interesting how hard it is when
you get conned out of money in a relationship for
the police to help. It's really like they don't get
you don't get your money, but they don't really care. Yeah,
and they act like, oh, you just gave him the
money because you loved him. It's not something that they
necessarily pay attention to. And little nas X is in treatment,
his repers saying that he's presently addressing unspecified issues and
(28:23):
rehab after his very much publicized arrest. All right, well
that is your yet when we come back, we have
asked yee eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
call us up any question you have.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Mayne's awake now and he wants to help you out.
I always woke and Jasmine brand is here. We got
you back.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. I love
when they play your theme song, Mano. It's way up
with it's.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
Relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
You should you should know if this is ask.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Gee, what's up his way?
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Yo?
Speaker 2 (28:52):
But Angela yee. I'm here, Jasmine Brand is here. Yes,
Mano's here, and it's time for ask yee now today.
As you know, we do take your voicemails. We have
a voicemail message. And here is a quite concerned mother
as she should be.
Speaker 16 (29:08):
My daughter is thirteen years old and she's been getting
in trouble at her school. A lot lost her short.
My mom whooped her her and her husband whooped her,
which is not her grandfather, and put it in. So
now she has whips on her arms. And you know,
she said it was blood or something splashed on the
wall or something like that, and then whooped her in
(29:28):
her sleep and then wake her up. So I want
to advite to ax you what should I do about
their situation?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Who I ain't got no kids, but let me tell
you something that's never God be around that human being.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Again.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
You don't beat other people's kids, especially that's not even
the grandfather for real, and you left Marx on that time.
It's one thing if you smacked their hand or something
like that them. I don't care how bad the kid
is in school. There is no reason why y'all should
be beating. That's like abuse.
Speaker 12 (29:56):
And also he should ask permission to even discipline that
child to that extent is crazy.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
That sounds wild, I mean in jail right now. But okay,
so the question is what do you do?
Speaker 11 (30:05):
Sorry?
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Right, so, all this happened.
Speaker 10 (30:07):
The greatest advice that is awful, like to do.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
That to it, and imagine how traumatizing it. She's got marks.
She could go to school and you could get in
trouble for child's abuse. You cannot beat your child like that,
and like, uh, it's awful. What I would do is
let it be known. First of all, check on your
child right and listen to her, talk to her, make
sure she's good, because that should never have happened, and
(30:31):
let her know that. Secondly, my child is never going
over there again. I don't even got it safe. And
your grandmother, who is married to this man, should never
have allowed that to happen either, and so to me,
all privileges revoked.
Speaker 12 (30:46):
I don't feel like you might need to go to
the doctor. You need to keep on record that. I agree,
but I feel like you need to put that on record.
You need to go to the do like the pediatrician
or something like that, because that could come back on
the parent. You go to you send your child to
school with Mark Limb, they would definitely call you.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
That can happen, so.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, you know, but sometimes you alert them, it turns
into a whole bigger situation.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Yeah it does.
Speaker 12 (31:08):
But sometimes when you bring your child to school and
they have marks on them, they will call you and
they'll be sent to the office.
Speaker 5 (31:14):
It becomes the whole thing. So you kind of got
to protect yourself as well.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Right, just never again. That's it for you. Sorry, no more.
You're not gonna see my kid no more, period.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
All right, Well that is ask ye eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through,
you could leave a message and we'll answer you that way.
As you can see. And when we come back, Tyreek
Withers is going to be joining us. He is the
star of the movie Him that comes out September nineteenth.
I know you've been seeing Marlon Wayiams doing all this press.
It is a higher movie, you know, my favorite genre,
(31:44):
and you're gonna love what he has to say just
about his acting career.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
You know, he was on Atlanta. He was in this
one episode.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah, he was a quote unquote wigger in the episode
halfway half back to that. Yeah, anyway, we got him
when we come back. Tyreek Wethers, it's way up in bed.
Speaker 11 (32:01):
We about to do this one of the memos to
tame this women in radio audio, we're talking about Angela ye.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
You're way up with angela ye.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Please believe that what's up its way up with Angela yee.
And how exciting is this for me?
Speaker 2 (32:13):
Terrek where this is here the start of Him, which
is coming out September nineteenth. Congratulations, like this is an
amazing starring role for you.
Speaker 11 (32:21):
Yeah, I'm sorry, this is on my mind. I'm way up.
I feel blessed.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Sorry I had to say that it is a song
I named the show.
Speaker 11 (32:28):
Yeah, oh really, yeah, I feel blessed. Well, I'm blessed
to be here.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Well, we're blessed to have you. Thank you for that.
And I know that you did play football. You also
played football at Florida State, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
And I saw an interview that you did I think
it was with Tierra Wack Yeah, where you said that
you did not feel like you just loved it enough
to want to pursue it in the way to become
professional at it. So it's kind of interesting that you
end up in this movie where the whole goal is
you love it so much that you want to become
the goat and you're willing to risk even your own life.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
Training did not look so fun in this movie.
Speaker 11 (33:02):
Oh yeah, no, no, no, But I was. I was
bleeding football while making this movie, and I was training
with Jordan Palmer, who's an NFL coach, training like Josh
Allen Joe Burrow. So yeah, I really it was humbling.
You show up and you're like, I know, y'all do
this for real, actor. I'm an actor, and I was
just like, I'm acting. I approached it in a humble.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Way, you know, and you feel like, man, maybe I
need to get back in.
Speaker 11 (33:27):
Yes, when I got a Chrispy thrill, I was like,
you know, I could, you could walk on.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Story's also about being a black quarterback. So right now
I have Tyreek Withers here. You know him from I
Know What You did last summer reboots. You know him
from the show Atlanta Donald Glover Show, but also as
the star of him.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
How was Marlon Wayne's training?
Speaker 2 (33:48):
I got to ask that because he don't come from
playing football when he was younger, but he did an
amazing job.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
I mean, he was in shape.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
When I saw him showing his guns off, I was like,
all right, you know what you used to scrowny Marlon Wayans.
Speaker 11 (33:59):
Now look him no his training he I'm half his age,
But it didn't feel like that. I just I don't
tell him this, but felt like I was training with
somebody my age and he locked in on the physical aspect.
But I've never seen somebody work out that tough but
still be yapping. Like he just yaps through a workout,
(34:21):
you know what I'm saying. So everything's a joke to him,
no matter how hard the workout is. But yeah, it
was a friendly, healthy competition.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Ad Libbing happened on there too, because even if you're
not like a huge football fan, because I'm not the
type of person that sits at home and watches football.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
So I was watching this movie and I was like, oh.
Speaker 11 (34:37):
There was a lot of ad libbing. And I think
with a story like this, you have to like live
in that world. And Marlon Wayans is untethered in this
film and the things he would say, I broke multiple times.
He broke the crew. But yeah, it was you didn't
know what type of marlin you'd get they do. Him
and Justin had their little secrets going before they started scene,
like Justin giving him ideas.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
So there are things you didn't even know what was
going to happen.
Speaker 11 (35:01):
Yeah, there's one time where he was yelling at me.
But I wasn't like allowing him to affect me. And
you know, I had this like best on and I
believe in a happy trail, like, so I kept my
happy trail. He was like always like he was. He
was like ill shave that, like take it off, and
I'm like, no, you just it adds layers to the character.
(35:21):
It's a choice, you know, as an actress. Choice Yeah
in real life, well in real life too, I'm just saying.
But yeah, he was angry at me in the middle
of a scene. He tried he grabs my happy trail
hair and yanks it. Yeah, grabs it like this, and
I stayed in.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
There puld your hair out.
Speaker 11 (35:38):
Yes, oh my god about it? No, no, no, it
was like but it was like the freedom like I
think when you have a healthy relationship with your co star,
let's go there, you know what I'm saying, And like nothing,
there was very few things off limits.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Trek. Where is this here? With me today.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
The movie Him is coming out on September nineteenth, this Friday.
It starts Tarreek alongside Marlon Wayans. We got more with
him when we come back. It's way up, way up
with angela yee more now what's up his way up
with the angela ye And Tyreek Withers is here with
us today. He is the star of the movie Him,
(36:12):
starring alongside Marlon Wayans.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
What was the hardest scene for you to film?
Speaker 11 (36:16):
Do you remember the last upper scene or I was
talking about my father who passed away?
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Oh my god, yes, yeah, Okay, that one was.
Speaker 11 (36:23):
A tough one because of the subject matter, my characters
talking about his father who passed away. And you know,
I think I carried grief with me. Justin Tippling Carry's grief,
Marlon Carey's grief, And you know, I went into that
scene thinking it was just like me talking to reporters
about my dad. And I was like, Yeah, it's gonna
be it's gonna be great.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
They pouring your heart out.
Speaker 11 (36:42):
Yeah, and then Justin was like, Hey, I want you
to go there, like unload the clip this scene. You
know what I'm saying, like, just put it all out there.
And I was like, you want me to do what?
And I think, as a man, you're not taught vulnerability.
And I think this is what this scene is about.
And you know, having that healthy conversation with us and
you know, I shoot the scene and it's not there.
(37:02):
It's not authentic and I never forced emotion and it
has to come from a real place. And Justin just
had a real conversation like where he what this scene
meant to him? And he came he lost his dad,
and I realized that, oh, that was this scene. This
movie is a love letter to his father. As this movie,
I feel like it's a love letter to my brother,
(37:23):
my older brother who passed, and from Marlin his parents.
And I think that level of empathy was pushed on
to me and it pushed me into a real place.
And what you see on that screen, I mean it
isn't acting because I just was able to really really
feel where Cameron was coming from with that grief. And
(37:44):
part of that was improv and me talking to my brother,
you know, and it was just emostly taxing, but in
a healthy way. And when Justin was telling me about
his dad, when I finished.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
He was like, thank you right now, I have Tyreek
Withers here. You know him from I Know What You
Did last summer reboots. You know him from the show
Atlanta Donald Glover Show, but also as the star of him.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Listen, people are gonna love this so much.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
It looks like, and I'm looking at early predictions, but
they are expecting it's gonna be the number one.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Movie and your lives to God's ears, And that's what
it's saying.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Even from the low end to that high end, it's
something like a number one film. How does it feel
to be in You know, it's not there yet, but
it's gonna happen. So how does that feel for you
knowing that you're about to be in the number one
box office?
Speaker 4 (38:33):
Lord?
Speaker 11 (38:37):
Yeah, it's a blessing.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
You know.
Speaker 11 (38:39):
At the end of the day, it's about did I
