Put angela yee, I'm here, Maino's here, and today we
want to shine a light on Rey Dejon who just
passed away.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
We found out the news yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Actually today was his birthday and he was supposed to
have a comedy roast for his birthday's comedian but also
you know, I'm as the iconic host from Video Music Box.
He's interviewed everybody and he's a legend himself. He also
owned a comedy club in Brooklyn that we've been to.
We just was there, yeah, on numerous occasions. You know,
I was there when it first opened up. I bought

(02:02):
Donnell Rawlings there to do a pop up and then
Donnell did a comedy show there. He's been up here, Yeah,
that was his club, and he's been here on Way
Up a few times, guest hosting, bringing comedians up here.
He's a stroke survivor. He also beat addiction. Remember he's
talked about that extensively. And he's also worked with people
who struggle with addiction, young adults with substance abuse and

(02:25):
things like that. And he opened the first black owned
comedy venue, the Lapaholics Comedy Club in Brooklyn. But he's
interviewed Biggie Stevie Wonder like all kinds of people as
a host. So much love to Ray de Jon and
his family.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Shout out to his brother, Al Flickton did a lot
of tattoo work on me.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah, all right, well, April, who do you want to
shine a light on?

Speaker 6 (02:46):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (02:46):
My fiance.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
His name is god Alf Tererry.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I like that name.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
That's cool, dot I Perry. He sounds famous.

Speaker 8 (02:52):
He loved you, so I'm like, listen, I gotta I
gotta shine him house today. I gotta shine a light
on him. He's going also with his podcast.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
On the fiance side of things. Right, how long have
you guys been engaged and together before that?

Speaker 8 (03:04):
Okay, we've been together with eight years.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Okay, it's real.

Speaker 8 (03:08):
He's a he's an awesome lie.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Okay, we have to do and I think, all right, well,
I know he loves hearing from you because your energy
is amazing too. So shout out to you and data
try I tried. All right, thank you for calling April.

Speaker 8 (03:23):
Okay, thanks, I talk to you later.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Well that was Shining Light eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through,
you can always leave a message and shine a light
that way. And when we come back, we have your
Ee t And let's talk about Joy Taylor, Emanuel Acho.
You know Fox Sports there is a lineup shake up,
and we'll give you the details that we know.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
It says the rooms from industry shade to all of
gosp out.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Angela's feeling that eye. It's way up with Angela.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Yee, I'm here is no hotcorn all over your shirt?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
What's happening here?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Popcorn around in the studio?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
All right, Well, let's get into this.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Joy Taylor is out at Fox Sports, and so's her
show Speak And there's also two other programs. So the
three all together that have been cut from the Fox
Sports weekday lineup, breakfast Ball and the Facility according to
the Athletic are also being cut.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
You know, there was a lot of drama. We saw
Joy Taylor at the BET Awards in the radio room.
You know, there was a lot going on with that now.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Emmanuel Acho also said he doesn't know what's coming after
Fox Sports canceled his show with this major shakeup. He said,
in sports, when you're not good enough, you get cut,
and TV, when you're not good enough, you get canceled.
I'm not going to try and come to y'all with
some big announcements soon. Stay tuned because I don't actually
know what's coming. But what I do know is I
trust God can't be real. Yeah, that's all you can

(04:44):
do now. Shannon Sharp, the first hearing for his sexual
assaul lawsuit in Nevada was didn't happen. The accused of
attorney failed to appear in court, and they're saying it
was just a miscommunication on behalf of the defense. You know,
Tony Busby is presenting the Jane Doe. Who's Jane Doe
who issuing Shannon Sharp. He said there was an agreement
to reset that hearing with mister Sharp's lee council. A

(05:07):
miscommunication on Sharp's legal team obviously occurred and they did
corroborate his claims. They made a statement they said, we
apologize to the court by letter for wasting the court's time.
There was a mutual agreement among council to postpone the
motion schedule for July ninth, so there was no expectation
that they would appear in person. So it was a miscommunication.
I know people were saying, oh, you know, they didn't

(05:28):
show up, but that's what it is, all right. And
the Menendez brothers, according to reports, could have their murder
convictions thrown out. I know you were very invested in
that series. I mean we were talking about.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
I feel like you were. We were talking about it
every day.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Oh, I wouldn't say that, wouldn't use the word. Well.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
The judge has reviewed two pieces of new evidence. The
first is that letter that's supposed to be from Eric
Menendez to his cousin Andy Cano, which would corroborate the
testimony that about Hoseminen there's molesting Eric. And then there's
another piece of evidence that's a declaration from Roy Russello,
who's a former member of Manudo, who says he was.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Sexually assaulted.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Was not a father, right because the father was the
manager of Manula.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Yes, so we will see and if that happens, if
the convictions are thrown out, they could still refoul charges.
But you know, it's been so long, it's not likely
that something like that would happen. All right, And yesterday
we gave you the breaking news about Trey Songs being
accused of attacking and injuring a photographer. Well, his legal
rep has now responded to these allegations and they say

(06:37):
that Trey's Songs was actually the victim. They told TMZ
hip Hop, the media is unfairly turning an unfinished story
into clickbait to sell a new headline.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
That's lazy and unfair.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
What happened at the IVY was the result of increasingly
aggressive paparazzi invading an artist's personal space, and they said
that put everybody at risk and a trend that's impacting
not just Trey Song but artists everywhere.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
So what they're saying he did punched on him.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
He's saying that he was the victim. So yeah, the
accusation is that he punched the camera man.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
And there's actual.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Footage where you can see there's a scuffle going on.
This is in Huntington, New York. This happened early Sunday morning.
You know, according to the photographer, he was told to
shoot the event but then things turned into a disruption.
We don't know what happened before that whole altercation. All right,
well that is your Yet when we come back, we

(07:26):
have about last night. I want to find out what
you were doing last night because it's eleven days until
your wedding, so I have to hope that last night.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
You were getting prepared.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
So about last night went down you?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
It's way up at the Angela yee, I'm here, mayno's here?

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
No? What did you do last night?

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Oh? Man, I had we had a last supple at
else Why it's very emotional.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Talk to me. What's going on?

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, last summer, last summer.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Really yeah, as a single man.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
No, we're talking about the restaurant.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Oh the restaurant is that's it? That's it, not Chelsea House.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
That's our spot.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, so what's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
We're gonna have to do it over Okay, all right,
My I bet that was emotional last night.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
The restaurant business is a crazy business.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, especially when you don't own the building and something
like that.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Yeah, that's a fact because when that least is up, boy,
they cannot wait to.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Do whatever they want to.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
They can do whatever.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
They could try to raise the rent crazy, or they
could say we want the space back.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. So yep. Very emotional.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I can't wait to see where you guys go next. Yeah,
maybe Chelsea House in Brooklyn. Yeah, well, shout out to
everybody at Chelsea House if you haven't been there.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
So is it officially closed now?

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Real? Bosses heat together?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Okay, Yeah, there's a lot of code talk going on
right now.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
I'm just saying that's what our signed was real Wolsey together.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
And it was just like, I have a picture under
that sign.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Yeah you did, and you came in and you showed
a lot of love. Did you put a rooma out
there on me? In there that I only drink?

Speaker 8 (09:12):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (09:12):
Yeah, you like the froze? They told me that. They
were like, MANO gets the froze.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
I said, real, it's not the only thing I drink.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
They said, Mano, come in here. He gobbled up them froze's.
Oh man, Well, yesterday I actually was. I was with
DJ Nori and they're working on this documentary about dance
hall and reggae, and so I was just answered some
questions kind of flashing back to my time growing up
in Brooklyn and Flat Wish and that genre of music

(09:41):
and how much that meant to us growing up.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
This was before you was in the woutang.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yes, this is before I was got it.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
The other thing I did yesterday was because you know,
Love Island, this season is over and I know they're
doing Beyond the Villa right now, but I had to
I'm still I watched the last episode, but then I'm
still up to only episode twenty five. But one thing
that was a question that people want to know. Do
you think it's really possible to find love in thirty days?

Speaker 6 (10:09):
Right?

Speaker 4 (10:09):
I need to figure it out because I'm right now
at a deficit.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Right, you have to get married.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
My date, my wedding date that I plan is July
twenty six. That's upon us right now.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
So you think you could fall in love that fast
because there are intense relationships on Love Island. I'm like
Dane only knew each other for like a week, and
you know it's crazy when you watch it happen. But
I want to know what you guys think is that
you just.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Got to get into it to fall in.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Love, yes, and thirty days and have that last I
want to know what you think is that real love?
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Can you
find love in thirty days? Mayn't got to find it
in less than a week?

Speaker 6 (10:44):
All right?

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty Call us up,
y y y yee? Is what you're all being waiting for?

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Oh you're tapped in a way up with Angela ye.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela yee. I'm here with
no man I know that's right. And we're talking about
finding love in thirty days or less. You know, Mano
is getting married six so you don't have much time.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
I don't have much time, and now everything is not
going the way I wanted it to go. I haven't
found a.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Bride, and you know, with Love Island, I was looking
at the show and I'm like, how do these people
feel like they're so in love so quickly? That for
these friendships so fast you think it can happen. I
think that if you spent like every single day together
for thirty days NonStop, right, then maybe you get to
know each other really well.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
But how does that even.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Well even or even two days?

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Because to me, it takes way longer than that. I
might really like somebody, and I feel like that could
be less. But I don't know if that's love.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
That's different than even two days days.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
People sometimes haven't even farted in front of each other
in thirty days.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Right, I'm doing it? Smells like I'm doing everything. Well, Mama.
Is it possible to find love in thirty days?

Speaker 8 (11:50):
Hell, yes, it's freaking possible. I fell in love in
less than thirty eight I fell in love in like
twenty four hours.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Wooh, y'all still together?

Speaker 9 (12:00):
Still together.

Speaker 6 (12:00):
We've been together for five months.

Speaker 8 (12:02):
He took me to Puerto Rico. The first two weeks
we dated.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Boo nice, Okay, that's what I need right there.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Tell me how this happened.

Speaker 10 (12:11):
Long three short. I took him from this other girl
that he was with for two years. But this is
what makes sense.

Speaker 11 (12:17):
But this is what this is the crazy part.

Speaker 10 (12:18):
He was well for two years and he didn't even
take her out of New Jersey. But he get with
me in the first two weeks. He takes me out
of the country.

Speaker 11 (12:25):
You're not right.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
He couldn't get caught in New Jersey, so you know we.

Speaker 8 (12:30):
Wasn't a cheating boo.

Speaker 6 (12:31):
He left her for Okay.

Speaker 11 (12:33):
I'm not no, fine.

Speaker 8 (12:34):
I told him, if you want to be with me,
you gotta leave.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Her, and he did.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
So nothing happened until he left her, Or did something happened?

Speaker 7 (12:41):
Law?

Speaker 10 (12:42):
I never I didn't lay down with this man, kiss him.
Nothing until he left her. Yes, allow that her on
the phone in front of me while I was in
the passengers.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Okay, that take though.

Speaker 10 (12:58):
He left her in.

Speaker 8 (12:59):
The first twenty four hours.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
I told you that.

Speaker 8 (13:01):
That's what made me felling off.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
And then you knocked them off.

Speaker 8 (13:04):
Then I knocked them off, and I'm probably knocked up
right now.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Did she ever reach out? Did the woman ever reach
out to you?

Speaker 6 (13:10):
Like? Yeah?

Speaker 10 (13:11):
She No, she reached out to my whole family. She
stalked my whole family. Her name is Jada.

Speaker 8 (13:15):
Hey Jada anyway, reached out to my whole family.

Speaker 11 (13:20):
She was prying to them, but weepers. I don't care.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Hey Jada, Well thanks Mama, I guess thank you for calling.
So she said it's.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Possible, though it is possible.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah, French, Hey angela man, tell me, Amana, what do
you think is it possible to fall in love in
thirty days or less?

Speaker 4 (13:40):
No?

Speaker 8 (13:40):
I don't think so just because I think it takes
time to get to know someone. I feel like if
you do fall in love the thirty games, you might
be falling I love at thirty games, okay.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Right cause then it's like then you start finding things
out about a person that you didn't know, because how
much could you really know about somebody.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
That past, right exactly?

Speaker 9 (13:58):
So yeah, that's my thoughts on that one.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
All right, thanks for calling, No, thank you? Hey midnight, Hey,
what do you think can you fall in love in
thirty days or less?

Speaker 10 (14:10):
Man?

Speaker 8 (14:10):
You can fall in love in two days.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
If he's the right person, that's right, in two days.
So that's happened to me.

Speaker 8 (14:16):
My wife I was walking there first, and then she
came in. I know it's in the first week that
she was gonna be my girl.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Okay, how'd you know?

Speaker 8 (14:24):
I met her?

Speaker 12 (14:25):
One week? Could kick you night?

Speaker 8 (14:26):
She went to my house. I ain't had no bed,
no nothing. She brought me my first bed, she bought
me my first phone. I couldn't let her go. I've
been with her fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
I could So you didn't mind bringing somebody to the
house with no bed?

Speaker 8 (14:41):
I mean matter she was you happy to be around Okay,
I was happy for that.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
I'm happy for you, you know, shout out to ya.
Fifteen years together, that's right, you know. And in the
first week she brought him.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
A bed, right, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Yeah, all right, Well, thank you guys for calling. You
could call eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one
to fifty. You could leave a message for that word
Can you find love? In thirty days when we come back,
we have your yet, And there is an update on
Beyonce's unreleased music the items that were still in last
week from her choreographer's car, and we'll tell you what
that update is.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Looks like she may get that stuff back. It's way up.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
Sure about the lid off this spot, let's get it.
Oh yeah, Angelus feeling that yet, Come and get the tea.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
It's way up at the Angela yee, I'm here with
new MANA.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Let's get into this yet.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
So Diddy has already enrolled himself in self improvement programs
while he's in federal lockup. Nice and that's because he
wants to address his drug use and his violence against women.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Right, He's in the Stop program.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
That's good.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
So that's the course. That the Feds offer when they
want to help it. It's focus on preventing sexual assault,
domestic and dating violence. So he's undergoing that therapy and
he wants to work hard on bettering himself.

Speaker 11 (15:52):
Now.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Of course, some people are saying, well, the motivation is
to try to show up anyway.

Speaker 6 (15:56):
Yeah, but no matter what.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Listen, hopefully he gets to help that he needs to
better himself, all right. Now, Beyonce, they reports were about
these unreleased songs and tour plans that were stolen from
her choreographer's suvsher grant and they were in Atlanta in
advance of Beyonce's performance there, and so this all happened

(16:20):
last week and according to reports that that took place
on July eighth. Well, there is an update, right, and
it looks like at minimum they have been tracking where
everything is. And here is that nine one one called
this is how we know. There's a tracker on the items.

Speaker 11 (16:37):
Someone broken from our car, but they stole like my
computers and everything. But it has a tracker on it
and it's really really important information in there, Like I
work with someone who is like of a high status
and I really need my computer and everything.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Yeah, I'm gonna tell you cannot leave stuff like that
in the car. I know that's gonna be something that
people are like, would you have that in the car?
One thing about me, I'm not leaving my laptop in
the car anything like that.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
You gotta take it. Yeah, so you got to take
it with you.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
And so hopefully they get all these items back, you know,
but it's very personal sensitive information, all right. I was
watching Basketball Wives last night and apparently according to the
Jasmine brand, uh, there's gonna be no reunion at the
end of this season.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
What should I am?

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I know you're looking forward to it.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Really, but it's been crazy watching Jackie Christy and her
daughter Chantelle Christy Jeffries. It's really not go It got
actually physical, which is wild to see the.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Relations I think she swung on her before.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Tell me.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
You should host the reunion. We should do one. I
should because I feel like you've hosted a premiere.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Party before, Captain and you need to stop.

Speaker 12 (17:58):
Now.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Speaking of reality to britt, Edie has announced her exit
from the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
She only did one season and she's over it.

Speaker 3 (18:07):
She decided to exit, and that's also after all that
drama happened with Kenya with the naked pictures that a
person that she claimed was Britt but then later on
it was.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Revealed that it was not her. No, it was not her.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
It was all kinds of drama with them, and you know,
she's posted. As I close this chapter, I want to
thank everyone who supported me, my friends, my followers.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
I want to thank everyone who defended my name.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
I decided to walk away from something that no longer
serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental
You know, if you felt like that, Yeah, I mean,
wasn't she trying.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
To like sue and everything.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
I don't know, I feel like you do. Okay, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Well, that's not an easy show to be on, and
a lot of those castmates have known each other. But
she did sue Bravo over the explicit photo incident. It
was a twenty million dollar lawsuit, so she.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Suoned them saying that y'all knew it wasn't me, but
y'all promoted it like it was.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Well, yeah, the whole thing is very strange to me.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Got kicked off because of that, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
She was no longer on the rest of the season,
so you do know. Why are you acted like you?

Speaker 2 (19:12):
I know this because this is what you told me.
I never watch the show of of my life.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Well that is your yeat.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
But yes, she said the photos were not heard, but
the episode falsely suggested that they were. So that was
part of that lawsuit. All right, when we come back,
we have your under the radar stories. These are the
stories that are flying under the radar. But you need
to know about them. Man, Why did they hack Elmo's
account and put up anti semitic posts? We'll talk about it.
What did Sesame Workshop have to say? It's way up news.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
But Angela, yeah, I'm here, Mino yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Man, this was crazy.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
But Elmo was saying all kinds of disgusting anti Semitic
things on x Now he's saying he was hacked, so yes,
from sesame from sesame now. Sesame Workshop also said that
the account was compromised by an unknown hacker who put
up these tweets, the posts, which, according to Sesame Workshop

(20:10):
is disgusting messages.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
They've been removed from the account.

Speaker 3 (20:14):
You know, Emma has over six hundred and fifty thousand
followers and there's screenshots.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
I mean, it's pretty bad. I can't even say it.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
But Emma was also calling for Donald Trump to release
the files and called him a child effort, and then
he said some awful things about Jewish people, like we
said anti semitic things about trans people, and you know.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
So on and so forth. So, yes, all right.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Bitcoin has tapped one hundred and twenty thousand dollars for
the first time ever yesterday. That's a milestone for investors
who have been betting on this. You know, I actually
had do you still have bitcoin? I only have a
little bit, but I do it kind of just to
track I was doing. And so yeah, I mean definitely

(21:01):
it kind of made me be like, man, I should
have did some more. But you know, they said, it's
been a very very strong move over the past six
or seven days. It's hard to see where it stops now.
So it looks like we can easily have a look
at the one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars level.
Bitcoin is up twenty nine percent for the year so far.
And yeah, so for people who are wondering what's gonna

(21:23):
happen with a cryptocurrency. Some of them are not valuable
anymore at all, but it feels like Bitcoin is the
one that's still, you know.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Always on the rise. All right, well that is your
under the radar. Now.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
We do still have the Way Up mixed at the
top of the hour. Plus we have a special guest
joining us today from Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Anisia is gonna be here.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
She has her Gangst the Grills mixtape, Grady Baby, coming
out on Friday. You know, she's the first woman from
Atlanta to have a gangster grills mixtape.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
He's never done Gainst the Grills.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
With nobody else a woman from Atlanta, Right, yeah, never,
apparently he hasn't. She's making history, and she's got quite
a funny personality. And I want to give y'all this
disclaimer first. I think she does say things that are funny,
and she's got a very vivid, fun imagination.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
So you know, you'll see. But Asia is going to
be joining us.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
It's the Way It's the Way Up with the angela
Ye show the Way Up Mix at the top of
the hour.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Let's go. She's like to talk like the Angela Jean,
like they Angela Jee.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
She's spilling it all this is yeat Well.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
What's up his way up at Angela?

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Yee is me and new Man ready for that yet?
So y'all know, there's been this theory that Stevie Wonder
can actually see and that he's not blind. Well, he
did address that speculation during his recent show, and here's
what he told the audience.

Speaker 12 (22:48):
You know, the.

Speaker 13 (22:49):
Rumors about me seeing and all that, the truth is
shortly after in my first I became blind. Now that
was a blessing because it's allowed me to see the
world in the vision of truth. I see people in
the spirit of them at how they look like, what

(23:11):
is the spirit?

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Remember, there's been rumors that he says things like it's
good seeing you. I feel like that's just a phrase
and people want to be funny. Yeah, they said he
flavor Flav said he always says that to him. Doctor
Dre posted a picture and said Stevie said it's good
seeing you of the two of them together.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
Maybe he's also rolling with the jokes too.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
I feel like, all right, well, I told you guys
that Lip Service comes out tonight at five pm. And
Tisha Campbell was one of the guests on the show.
She's in the new movie Operation Aunties that's on All Black.
But we were talking about dating, and then we were
talking about if anybody's ever like slipped something in your
drink or tried to do something like that to you.
And she told the story that she says she hadn't

(23:52):
thought about in a long time.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
And listened to this. I was sixteen. I went over
to this guy's house.

Speaker 14 (23:59):
He kept kind of get me to drink this Coca
cola and I was like, nah, I'm good. But when
I saw him a couple of years later, he said,
that night that you came over, I put something in
your drink.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Now, if you want to hear the full story of
what happened later in life when she ran back into
him again, you can listen to lip Service again. That
comes out at five pm tonight. But it is a
wild story, a great episode though, for the ladies to
talk about things that they both her and Melissa Dessosa,
they're starring in the movie Operation Aunties together, both of
them telling stories that they've never told before.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
And Connor McGregor is in the hot seat.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Apparently he sent naked pictures to Azalia Banks and she
posted a screenshot of the messages from his account and
then also the alleged news and she said, this is
how I'm why would you do that? And then she said,
how are you going to sexually harass me with the
potato farmer deed and threaten me not to tell?

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Honey? Ain't you're trying to be the president of Ireland?
What is it given? Fam? And then she also said
you some effings sunscreen?

Speaker 6 (25:00):
Damn you?

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Sunscreen is great?

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Why would he do that?

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Why would he send those?

Speaker 6 (25:05):
I don't know it.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Did he really do that?

Speaker 3 (25:07):
I couldn't even tell you, like what is going on
with this? But we know that it has definitely made
the rounds these pictures. All right, well that is your
yet and when we come back, we have asked Yee
eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty call us
up any question you have.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
We're here to help you out.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
Is way up with it's relationship for career advice, Angela's
dropping facts, so you should you should know.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
This is Askee. What's up this way? You put Angela? Yee,
I'm here, my guy Mano is here with me. Mat
is Meno.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
But the award reading advice giving women Mano and today
for ask Yee we have Calvin on the line.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
What's up, Calvin?

Speaker 12 (25:42):
Hey, I'm gad.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
How you feeling.

Speaker 12 (25:45):
I'm all right, I'm all right, all.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Right, all right, Well, what's the question for me? In Mano?

Speaker 12 (25:50):
I have a company and my buddy last year he
asked me if he could come work for me because
he'd been out of work for a while. I didn't
really want to hire him in the beginning, but he
has experience in my industry, so I was like, all right,
and he was doing good at first, but he's been
messing up like for a while now, and so I
really got to fire this guy. The problem is he's

(26:13):
a loose cannon, like he's he's crazy, and I just
I don't know what he's gonna do, right, you know.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
So basically you scared of him? Yeah, scared.

Speaker 12 (26:23):
I don't want to feel I'm scared of I mean,
you know, like, I know it's family and stuff like.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
But you know, yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
I am kind of scared of him a little bit,
you know, business he.

Speaker 12 (26:34):
Said, yeah, yeah, And he he kind of flipped out
on his last boss too, which is why he got
fired from the last job.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
So you think he might flip bott on you like
choke you or slap you on top of your head.

Speaker 7 (26:44):
Or.

Speaker 12 (26:47):
He has a little bit of a rap sheet.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
So but don't let him come in the office and
then fire him by email.

Speaker 12 (26:54):
All right, so how do you how do you think
I should go back to this?

Speaker 11 (26:56):
Well?

Speaker 3 (26:56):
I think first of all, don't fire him like why
in the office if you're concerned about what his behavior
might be, right, because.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
You might toss you around that office a little bit.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
He might destroy the office too.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
So I think the best way is for you to
have a conversation outside of the office with him, because
if you don't know what he might do, if you
feel like he's a bit of a loose cannon. Also
make sure that this is something that in case of
for whatever legal reasons, there's some type of proof of
what happens when this goes down, because you also have
to protect yourself and your business, right, Yeah, so just

(27:30):
make sure that you have everything documented when you when
you do that, and you know it's hard because business
can ruin your friendship when you guys decide to to
do things like that together. So also understand that y'all
may not be cool anymore after this.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
Yeah, but if I'm sorry angel. But I'm just saying,
if he beat your ass after you fire him, is
he really your friend? Would your friend really beat your ass?

Speaker 12 (27:53):
I don't know what this guy. I know him a
pretty long time. I've seen him beat other people.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
That happen.

Speaker 12 (28:01):
It's possible. I was thinking about sending them the text
and just kind of explaining everything out in the text.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
I know he could cool down before we talk on
the weekend.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Do it on the.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Weekend, though, so you don't have to come in Saturday
morning and make sure if he has to.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Come get his stuff or whatever, make sure there's security there.

Speaker 12 (28:17):
True.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
As matter of fact, I wouldn'tven want him to come
back in the office. There's a way to have Yeah,
we have to let you go, we have to let
you off.

Speaker 12 (28:24):
So you think I should do it like in a
public wace.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
I probably will call him all right. Thank you, Thank
you for calling Calvin.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
And good luck.

Speaker 12 (28:32):
Thanks appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
If you take some kickboxing, that was ask ye eight
hundred and two nine fifty one fifty. You could always
leave a message, or if you're on the iHeartRadio app,
you can click that microphone and leave a message that
way where you can answer your question at any time.
And when we come back, Anicia is going to be
joining us, you know her from Atlanta. Back outside, Grady Baby,

(28:53):
we'll talk to her about her upcoming mixtape that's going
to be out. It's Against the Grills tape coming out
on Friday. But of course you know she's that's a
real solid, funny person's way up. It's way up, yeahs,
turn me up.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Here we go up again.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
This is way up with Angela Ye.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
What's up? Its way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
And we got my girl Nini here and and novelday're welcome.

Speaker 6 (29:15):
Hey, thank you for having me.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Well, congratulations first of all, because you're doing something that's
never been done before.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Grady Baby, talk to us about that.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
It's basically just a take.

Speaker 9 (29:26):
It's given the vibe of what I would imagine my
mom and my aunts and stuff felt like back in
the day.

Speaker 6 (29:33):
There's a few samples.

Speaker 9 (29:35):
On there that were just songs that I grew up
listening to with my mom and whatnot. And it's just
like a really really fun take. DJ Drama is hosting
it and female rapper from Atlanta. Yes, exciting, but I
mean like dud like I feel like good like we
had to do it like that. We have to, but

(29:55):
it's just like it's just supposed to give you that
little nostalgic feel, that confidence, boos, the battery in your back.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Music, that's all I mean. It starts off with a
jeez sample. That's a classic jeezy song. Is that what
your mom and aunts grew up listening to?

Speaker 9 (30:08):
Oh my mama is a little hood booger, she is
down and my mom was a young mom. Well I
ain't gonna make it like that.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
She was twenty and my mom had my brother when
she was twenty and me right after.

Speaker 6 (30:18):
Yeah, like they're still young.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I can't even picture that, right, I can't either. You
didn't tweet out the other day you can't wait to
have a baby.

Speaker 9 (30:24):
I do want to have a baby, but I want
to have a baby. I want a baby on something
like Okay, I think I can have a baby.

Speaker 6 (30:29):
Now'm cool.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Well, look you aren't ready boot ups, so you should
be okay period.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
So we know who you're gonna have. You said it.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
We said, you know who's daddy? Yeah, you know the
daddy already. What did he say when he saw that tweet?
He don't even put me No, Mom, I know he
likes that.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
I saw when you did an interview and somebody asked
if you and four Bad to hit the studio yet,
and you were like, no, we just we both like.

Speaker 6 (30:51):
Right now he's working working on his little stuff. I'm
working on my stuff. We both just he lets me
be why.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
You had to say little stuff, you know.

Speaker 9 (30:58):
Little little stuff that we're doing lift up here up there.

Speaker 6 (31:02):
But yeah, we're just working at flirting.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
I'm talking to Anisia the grady baby from Atlanta, me
and even a sound like back Eytside with such a
banger for people.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
I was actually I was actually mad at a man.
You just gotta have a little therapy something.

Speaker 9 (31:16):
Like I have a song where I'm literally wishing the
worst on me and like I wish it's tired, blows down.

Speaker 6 (31:21):
It's a new thing that I got now in my
head to like, cause.

Speaker 9 (31:24):
I always think of ways that I'm not harming myself
but it will harm the man.

Speaker 6 (31:28):
But I don't go through things like that anymore. But
for my.

Speaker 9 (31:31):
Ladies, just pay a crackhead to kiss him, let the
person be around it off and then make the and
then be like, oh my god, why did.

Speaker 6 (31:38):
You do that.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Now, Now, what if you pay somebody to do it back.

Speaker 9 (31:41):
To you, then then then I don't want to stay
what I'm gonna do, because then then listen, now, don't.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
Do this, don't try.

Speaker 9 (31:51):
Don't if you pay somebody, it's me that's a crackhead,
it's gonna be a pron.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 9 (31:56):
One time I took all the difference off my ex
boyfriend pants and just folded him back up and put
them back in the round, like this girl, cause you
gotta think outside the box.

Speaker 6 (32:06):
Do something else that's violet. Now they could be like, oh,
she crazed she did this, or you can go to.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Jail somebody ever done to you, then that's been a
little diabolical.

Speaker 9 (32:14):
One time, my birthday, I was talking to this boy
and the boy had me come to his house and
he said he was going to the mall to go
get some shoes.

Speaker 6 (32:20):
He was gone for hours, so I took his toothbrush.
I put it up in the toilet. Never talk to
him again after that.

Speaker 9 (32:27):
You gotta make sure when you do certain things, you
can't talk to them no more.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
You gotta know this over yeah, Like if you pay
a crackhead.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
Against the man and then you go back to him.
Now you got crackhead on your breath.

Speaker 9 (32:34):
Now you gotta be done done. So when I was
done done, I took the two birchlase. That was like
my last trouble. But I took the two bershing off,
put it up in the toilet, curt it around.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
He never knew.

Speaker 9 (32:45):
The next morning he got in the story like he
got music playing broth. He like, yeah, we got yeah,
we live, we live, We in the street, getting that tongue.

Speaker 6 (32:52):
I'm like, get the back of that mother, get it
for me.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
What's your sign of Leo?

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Okay Ani is here and that's right, she is back, back,
back out. But she got a new project dropping on Friday,
Grady Baby the Gangster Girls Mixtape.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
We got more with her when we come back. It's
way out.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
This is way up with Angela.

Speaker 7 (33:09):
Let's go.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
You are a medium mab and right, you never know
what Ane is gonna say.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
What's happens?

Speaker 3 (33:15):
Way up with Angela yee, and we got the Grady
Baby gangst The Girl's mixtape is coming out on Friday.
Our girl a Nicia is here. How is life changing Atlanta?
When you're going out now just seeing like where you
started just a few years ago to where you are now.
I have to imagine that you can't even do the
same things you used to do.

Speaker 9 (33:32):
I can, but I still be trying maybe on me,
Like girl, can you act like you do music?

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Please, like with fans and stuff. I don't care what
I look like.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
I don't care if my heart you're gonna take that picture,
take that picture.

Speaker 9 (33:43):
Because you never know, like some of that stuff like
really be brightening people day.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Yeah, you know, it comes with the job. You know,
if I'm here at the mall, somebody is gonna we love.

Speaker 6 (33:51):
It's love to me.

Speaker 9 (33:52):
I know if I see what I did see her, Rihanna,
I know I love you.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Oh I love you. Don't understand I was trying to
be so cool she gave me in the compliment. I
was finished, literally dookie on the.

Speaker 9 (34:03):
Flow up and then like I learned to took it everywhere,
oh faster.

Speaker 6 (34:09):
I have an anxiety.

Speaker 9 (34:11):
I just gagged before. I can't believe I was gagging future.
I just gag anxiety be gagging for it. So I
was that safe, just gagging my life where everybody.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Be like, Okay, let's well, let's talk about this. Rihanna moment,
because that's a big gal.

Speaker 9 (34:22):
I love her so bad. I was at this party.
I don't know how I got there. It was a
bunch of random people. I looked up Rihanna and ascept
Rocky was there. I spoke to acept Rocky and.

Speaker 6 (34:31):
He was like, you are so funny and dah.

Speaker 9 (34:33):
He gave me, like, you know, my little tense and
he gave me a hug. The hug was not for him.
The hug was I know, you'll be touching Rihanna, like,
thank you for that.

Speaker 6 (34:41):
Now. I got so much I rejuice on me.

Speaker 9 (34:45):
So I'm just minding my business because you know, you
still got to play it cool. You can't be doing
you know, and I know how that feels so much
going on. So I'm just minding my little business, admiring
her but still like trying not to like being in
my phone, like looking at the weather. But I looked
over and she was looking at me.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
And I'm like, oh, is she looking?

Speaker 10 (35:01):
She looking?

Speaker 2 (35:01):
She looking?

Speaker 6 (35:01):
She looking, She's mouthed it and she was like, your
holy look, I'm gagged. I was like, gag, I'm in
the gag right now.

Speaker 9 (35:07):
Oh my god. And I was like, thank you thank you.
I was like, we was like mouthing to each other.

Speaker 6 (35:11):
I was thank you.

Speaker 9 (35:13):
I spent walked to the bathroom and I called my mama.
I said, girl, Rihanna just told me that she like
my office. She said, I look good.

Speaker 6 (35:19):
My mama was like, I.

Speaker 5 (35:20):
Know that's right.

Speaker 6 (35:21):
I know that.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Yeah, Ray, Ray, where's she at?

Speaker 9 (35:25):
I'm like, she got them, Mama. She told me that
she like my She mouthed it to me. Girl, and
I hood, they said rocky. So I got some of
her juices on me. And she really does smell good. Okay,
she walked past me.

Speaker 6 (35:35):
She wasn't even like that close in a.

Speaker 9 (35:36):
Wheel of her after air or what Lily is. That
is a good lady right there. I love that lady.
I love Rihanna.

Speaker 6 (35:44):
I love her. I love her, I love her. I
love her.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
Right now, I'm talking to Anisia the Grady baby from Atlanta.
You know, aside from music, I feel like there's a
lot more that you have planned.

Speaker 9 (35:55):
I want my own shows with actual like some substance,
not like a podcast, just being in people business what
we do. But I just want to be able to
like just explore different horizons with myself.

Speaker 6 (36:10):
I want to do that. I want to get into acting.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
I can see that.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
I can see you writing some good Black Mirror episodes
and something.

Speaker 9 (36:18):
Yes, it's like something like really off the Yes, I would,
but I want to do all that.

Speaker 6 (36:23):
I want to get into everything. I want to do everything.

Speaker 9 (36:25):
