Wreak the Jeweler is the newest youngest jeweler from Chicago,
young black man got doing his things on Jeweler's row.

Y'all make sure y'all go rock with him. I'm so
proud of him doing this thing downtown.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Man, I love to see that. That's not an easy
space to be in. It's not so y'all have like
a we have a diamond district here. Yeah, and so
what's it called there? It's called Jeweler's Row.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Jeweler's row.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
So yeah, he down there and he just what I
like about him. He knows the quality of diamonds. It
ain't just like trying to just get you out the door.
He's very knowledgeable. So I'm proud of him.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Okay, he got at least jojo Okay, Hello, he gave you.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Hear me love my pieces.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
That's the one, all right. Now, who do you want
to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (02:56):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (02:57):
Good morning?

Speaker 7 (02:57):
I want to try to light on all the government
workers that are commonly proloas and those that are are
showing up, you know, not getting paid. You know, these
being the women you know, are still talking to put
their best look forward and and certain American people and
the best and pacy they can even though they're not
getting a paycheck, you know. And I just hope and
pray that there's a resolution quickly send the shutdown so

(03:19):
the post get take care of.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
You know, I'm glad you said that because number one, yeah,
shout out to everybody right now who is being My
aunt just got furloughed as well, like the day that
the government shut down, so I know that's difficult. But
also for people who are traveling, you know, it's already
like sometimes a really high stress situation. So have some
patients with the people who are coming to work because
they don't know when they're going to get their paychecks.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
That's correct, right, Are you a government worker?

Speaker 9 (03:44):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
No, I used to be.

Speaker 9 (03:46):
I'm retired.

Speaker 10 (03:46):
I'm a veteran now.

Speaker 8 (03:47):
And you know, and this also affect service numbers.

Speaker 9 (03:50):
You know, they just got their list check on.

Speaker 8 (03:53):
The first and until this thing is resolved, you know,
come next go around.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
They may not be getting paid and that's it's unacceptable.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah, that is well, thank you for your service. We
appreciate you. All right, Well, thank you for calling, and again,
thank you for your service.

Speaker 7 (04:09):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
That was Shinna Light eight hundred nine fifty fifty. If
you couldn't get through, leave a message and shina Light
that way, and when we come back, we have your yut.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
And let's talk about Lebron.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Imagine suing Lebron because of a video that he did,
that Second Decision video that has people kind of upset.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
We'll discuss it.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Its way up, they say, the rooms from industry shade
to all of gossip out send Angela's speeling that EyeT.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, it's way yeah, but Angela, Yeah, I'm here with Cella,
that's why. And my girl Jojo that is body gun
here ninety six point one to be Atlanta period.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Okay, let's get into some ut.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
So you know what, Chicago Sky's Angel Reese, a two
time w NBA All Star, is also going to be
the first professional athlete doing the Victorious Secret Fashion Show.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I congratulations, Yeah, she's doing it all she is.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Listen, she'd been getting so much hate, but it's because.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
She's so lit.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
She gets so much love to Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
It's crazy that that has to come with it though,
Like the more people that love you, then there's always like,
you know, negative chest chatter.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
She's so Chicago, that's gonna come every time. But she's not.
But she's an honorary Chicago with oh okay Yama, always
trying to get somebody out there.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
I go for it, what I take it, I take it.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
We rock well.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
She said this is a full circle dream, after recently
also launching her Juicy Couture partnership as well. And yeah,
so sports fashion gotta love it all right now, Speaking
of sports, Lebron is being sued by a fan who
says that they were misled by his second decision video.
Ya saw when you know they did this whole thing

(05:52):
where he had a second decision. People were like, is
he about to retire? What is he about to announce? Well,
here's what it sounded like.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
Everyone's pens and needles across the country. What's your decision?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Man?

Speaker 9 (06:03):
This is tough and it's fall. I'm gonna be taking
my talents to Hennessvsopick vsop. I feel like it's gonna
give me the best opportunity to win more at hosting,
not only that win that signature cocktails when having a
good time.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
All right, Well, now a fan is actually suing Lebron
Andrew Garcia. He says he bought two tickets that were
worth four hundred and thirty two dollars each on ticket
Master for when the Lakers host the Calves on March thirty. First,
he thought he would be attending Lebron's final game against
the team that drafted him, and so now he wants
to get reimbursed.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Wow, I mean, I get what he's saying, But it's
your fault, bro, Yeah, it's your fault, Like, go.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
To the game, enjoy yourself.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
He did say.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Well, he literally he don't want to go no more
because he thought that that was his last game.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
So he was trying to, you know what I'm saying,
get in there so he can watch.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Yeah, but he or never said that. That's the thing
he was made get an announcement.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
You jumped the gun.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
You definitely did think it was only like ten seconds, right,
that was yeah. I didn't get I didn't get that
from that though, Like I didn't get that he was
retiring from that.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Well, what he said he had a second announcement. That's
what people thought, because everybody's like, he about to retire?
Is he about to So people really did think that,
And so that's why I think he's going to announce
that he's about to announce that he's retiring, or is
he just gonna announce, Hey, I'm retiring right and just
go off. I probably just do an interview about it
when it's when it's time and our senior Hall is
releasing a new memoir detailing his legendary career and the

(07:33):
rise of The Arsenial Hall Show. He said, I just
finished the hardest thing I've ever done when he announced
the book on social media. So cannot wait to read that.
He's going to share some stories from his early days
as a young magician in Cleveland to then hosting The
Arsenial Hall Show. All right, well that is your yet
when we come back, we have about last night. I

(07:53):
want to hear about what you did last night. Jojo
in New York, me and Tella were together, said we'll
talk about that.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Its way up about.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Last night, he said, I went down all right, Chicago,
coming in hot you heard that, g Herbo.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
It's way up and I got my Girl Chella and
Jojo Alonzo the Baddest Boy the Game.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Okay, hello, all right.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Now, Jojo, about last night. So you got here from
Atlanta last night? What'd you do?

Speaker 6 (08:23):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
So first I came to the I came to the
station first and kind of like freshened up a little bit.
I came here and it was a party in here.
What it was a party in here? I had to
you know, no, I'm playing. It was a party in here.
Was lity, myself was in here. Okay, So I got
myself together. Then I went to Girls Love Karaoke.

Speaker 6 (08:42):
Y'all. Well you heard of it.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Yes, yeah, a big deal.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
It was crazy in there.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I was only in there for like a little hour whatever,
got me a little drink and drink a little hookah.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
But there were some people in there.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
You said, Ba was there, Killini was there?

Speaker 8 (08:53):
John Wall?

Speaker 6 (08:55):
I see married.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
I don't know it's John Wall Mary, let's see.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
But just a questions. Well, I would have I would
have been here yesterday. But I had the opportunity to
go to Philly to the Filmore to interview Isa Ray
and it was a conversation. You know, she has a
new book out. Well, it's not as new now, but
it's out right now. I should be smarter. But now
it's a collection of essays. It's six different essays. And

(09:23):
by the way, today is the anniversary of when Insecure
debuted on HBO October ninth, twenty sixteen.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Wow, isn't that crazy.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I just realized that now Insecure was my show. I
was so sad. It was five seasons and when it ended,
I was like, what am I going to watch now?

Speaker 5 (09:39):
No, for real.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
But one of the.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Parts of the conversation what we talked about is you know,
and each one of her essays she gives like really
personal stories about you know, childs and tribulations. How she
even got a television show on HBO. It literally took
her years to like develop this. She didn't think it
was gonna work. She had previously pitched something.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
To Shonda Ron. She thought that was gonna happen. It
didn't end up, you know, working out.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
So a lot of times we see somebody's success and
don't know how many times it didn't work before it
finally did. So one thing I asked her is how
do you know when it's time to say this isn't working.
I'm gonna throw the talent right Because as much as
we hear advice like keep going, keep pushing, just do it,
it's gonna work out. You gotta be persistent. Sometimes it's

(10:26):
like this just isn't about to happen. And instead of
me like investing more time and resources into something that's
not happening, maybe I need to move on to something else.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
And that could be a relationship.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
That could be a job, you know, that could be
anything that you have, that could be something that you're
trying to get off the ground or business. So we
want to ask you, guys, how do you know when
it's time to throw the towel in on something and
say this isn't working anymore? I give up because sometimes
it feels like a failure. Yes, have we all been there.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
All the time, still going through with you?

Speaker 5 (10:58):
You want me, you want me to answer it?

Speaker 7 (10:59):
How?

Speaker 4 (11:00):
You know what, when we come back, we're gonna we're
gonna start with you. I want to hear your stories,
but we want to hear yours too. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. How do you know when
it's time to throw the talent on something that's not working?
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah, what's hey, you don't want to know my name?
Way up with Angela?

Speaker 4 (11:16):
Ye period, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here
with my girl Cello.

Speaker 6 (11:21):
That's why.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Joe Joe Alianza bad is body run again?

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Okay, and let's talk about you know, I was with
Eastern Ray yesterday and we were talking about when do
you know it's time to throw the talent? When it
comes to a business a relationship, it's just not working.
Sometimes we feel like we got to keep pushing, don't
give up, but eventually, if it's going on for too long, you.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Gotta give up. What would you say to that? Jojo?

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Okay? So I'm be honest, completely honest. I don't be
knowing sometimes I don't. Literally God be having to drag
me by.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
My hair out of places sometimes.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
But now that I'm getting older, I'm realizing that, Like
I just get like a feeling discerned, it's what we
call it.

Speaker 5 (12:01):
I just get a feeling the where.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
It's like, Okay, this is not it when it comes
to business wise relationship, I just got to be done
with you, Like I would feel everything you do, discuss me.
I don't want to see you. I want to smell you,
thinking you nothing?

Speaker 5 (12:15):
Uh yeah, like what about you?

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Teller man, that's the story of my life, to be honest,
just dragging it on too long relationships. I'm good at that,
knowing when I cut it off, like I'm.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
That's why.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
Yeah, I'm good at that. Business.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
I'm more like, Okay, let me just keep going, keep going.
But I'm working on that. I'm still growing undevelopment.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
I think for me, as soon as I realized that,
like I had to learn to stop giving so many chances,
and as soon as I'm like, I don't get this
person a million chances, and now I don't give that many,
Like I give you one warning and it don't work,
that's it. I'm done because you got to realize some
people are not gonna change, all right, Trey Wend do
you know to throw the talent?

Speaker 8 (13:00):
It's about the piece. If your piece is givving up
every day dealing with this person, or you're throwing off
their piece, you arguing with them every day, talking about
the shape of their head, like that's not good.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
The shape of their head?

Speaker 6 (13:11):
What are you talking about right now?

Speaker 7 (13:12):
Is so much?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Is this going on?

Speaker 6 (13:14):
Actively?

Speaker 10 (13:15):
Man?

Speaker 8 (13:15):
No, No, I ain't talking about nobody's specifically.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Okay, you're saying in general, if it's not peaceful, and
if every little thing about them bothers you, it's time
to let it go.

Speaker 8 (13:25):
Yeah, Because some people tend to stay with somebody because
they look good, you know, when they ugly and they
find somebody that's not ugly, they like, you know what,
let me do what I can to stay with this person,
because I don't think I can get any better.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Do what women do? Ye, I don't care how to God, look, yeah,
we don't care about that.

Speaker 6 (13:41):
For real.

Speaker 8 (13:43):
Women tend to be just a tadic unemotional sometimes, but
then you find that one that's not unemotional and actually
can to black men health like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
We're there.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
I think you got some money.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
That's that's that'll make you, that make.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
You over somebody they get ugly to you though, Yeah do.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
He'd be like yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (14:06):
Like that.

Speaker 8 (14:07):
Yeah, you don't see so many women out here offering
up money like that.

Speaker 6 (14:11):
Now we're not we're not going to we're not.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Thank you for colling.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
You're right about the peace though, to hear y, Hey.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Hey girl, how do you know when it's time to
throw the towel in on something.

Speaker 10 (14:25):
It comes to time when you just feel it.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Tell me your own example.

Speaker 10 (14:29):
I'm achasmotologist. I've been in the field for over twenty years.
I've been behind the tea since I was fourteen. I
can't turn that the environment I was then wasn't produced
for me. The money was there, but the environment was toxic,
and I also knew that I wanted more. So I
decided to go back to school to learn how to

(14:49):
specialize in all textures, and I was able to vent
your off into New York and work on fashion wee bridle,
beat beef tea, so many things. So with the that lesson,
I learned that when you get into an environment and
it does not align with your higher self, you come
to terms to understand what the circumstances that you have

(15:11):
out grown it. Right, if you say what's in a
anviroment and limits you.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
You'll be study you will Yes, well, thank you to here.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
I appreciate your perspective and I'm glad that you were
able to recognize that me and move on and move.

Speaker 5 (15:23):
Up straight up, all the way up, way up.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Okay, hello clock, all right, and we got yee t
when we come back. Now, imagine that you are a
Golden Globe Best Actress, winner of Quad Dubra Platinum hit Maker,
and you.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Have no money and you're getting evicted.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Will tell you who this happened to and what she's
saying versus what her former manager saying.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid off this, but
let's get it. Angela's feeling that. Yee te come and
get the tea.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 11 (15:52):
Yee.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
I'm here with Cella.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Hello, the baddest body quying the game.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
You're and this story packs my heart in Yetie ange
Day is saying that she is broken facing a viction
all because of her former manager, Jeff Evans. She says
he was caught red handed stealing from her.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Now ange Day.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Stars in the United States versus Billy Holliday as Billy
Holliday she was in the Deliverance. She also said, right,
and Aurrah, I can't do it, but she has an
amazing mate like, she is so super talented.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
I'm such a fan of hers.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
And he actually filed a lawsuit against her, saying that
she owes him money from the deliverance. Well, Now she
has filed a countersuit saying that he scammed her with
blindless greeds, siphoned so much money that she faced eviction,
couldn't pay the monthly minimum on her credit card debt,
and did not have sufficient funds to tour.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Wow, that's it.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
I've been hearing about that a lot though, with these
managers and stuff. Folks out listen, somebody I know, And
she hasn't put it out there yet. She would just
telling me she found out her manager was stealing from her.
Somebody just told me their manager was stealing from them too, literally,
just told me that that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
I can't trust snow bad.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
And I want to say, like, one thing I've learned
is to a better way to do things always is
you get paid and then you pay your manager.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Yeah, you can do things that way.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
And you know what I'm saying, that's I feel like
that's the only way to really like keep track if.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
You don't, if you're really Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
So anyway, she's saying that he owes her at least
five hundred and seventy five thousand dollars and believes that
the amount is actually significantly more.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
So that's a lot, all right, now.

Speaker 8 (17:36):
Gee.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Herbert was on Club Sha Shay and he talked about
a lot of things including co parenting with Ari.

Speaker 12 (17:43):
You got to be able to forgive and you got
to be able to hold yourself accounty too. I always
go like, man, it's going to be all right to
get greater later, like whenever I'm going to do with
my girl, even at home while I was going through
my baby mama. Yeah, I just always was able to forgive,
and sometimes my girls to get mad at me, Like
you just forgive her all the time, like no matter
what she doing. Is like I know, for the love

(18:04):
of my son, I can't hate you. I feel like
that'll make me a bad dad.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
That's very mature. Yeah, thinking I'm so proud of her.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Yeah, come from where he come from by doing that, Jojo.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
I just it's just like I I mean, you're supposed
to You're supposed to not hate her. Obviously, you're supposed
to co parent, you's supposed to do all those good things.
But at the same time, like if your baby mama
or baby daddy is doing something that you know goodwill,
they don't need to be doing Like it's something to
be addressed. You can address it, but I don't. I
think he's saying, don't just harbor on it forever, like

(18:39):
move on. And you gotta think when you in your twenties,
you get a pass with certain things. So both of
them kind of grew up. He thirty, he just had
a thirty. He just made thirty. But he's at the
mass stay. He's in now. Okay, I give what you're saying, like,
don't be hating, don't hate her feather type.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Jose got her own issues. She's like, I'm saying, I'm
a baby mama. I got somebody the baby mama.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Yeah, he keep forgiving who No, I was feeling that
from you, all right.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
And in addition, he talks about wanting to get married.

Speaker 12 (19:07):
I didn't want to get married, talker to afford a
ring that was three hundred thousand when that's a million,
Like I was always on that type of time. Why
I am right now though, like I can't wait to
marry my girl.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
That's so what we talked. We talked about a year,
two years to.

Speaker 13 (19:20):
Get on one knee right now, ready to go home.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
And she got him a ring. You saw that, but
it was like a pinky ring. Emily Be made that clear.
But she did like trick off on him for his birthday,
as he calls it, Yeah, I've seen that.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
It was nice.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
It's nice.

Speaker 6 (19:34):
That's how the Chicago had. You're doing.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
Okay, after the radar. These are the stories in and
out in the headlines. They're flying under the radar. Dan,
I need you to sing this next song we're going into.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
It's jay Z and Kanye, the uncensored version.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
It's way up position in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar. We didn't even.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Finish one drinking yelling here doing a Chris Brown challenge. Okay,
it's way up. Let's go under the radar now. Derek
Gross was just apprehended in it Atlanta yesterday, the last
of ten inmates who had been on the run after
breaking out of jail in New Orleans.

Speaker 6 (20:05):
I love him, what fred boy?

Speaker 10 (20:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (20:09):
N he was high now at my not just playing.
Let me stop playing to you lock.

Speaker 6 (20:15):
Your friend up.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
Stop please stop playing.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
That is a little back to Atlanta. Stop playing exactly.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
But he is one of ten inmates who escaped, and
he was convicted last year of two counts of second
degree murder and a twenty eighteen Marty grid Day shooting.
He faces a sentence of life in prison without the
possibility of parole.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
Yeah, take him back, take him back on it.

Speaker 6 (20:41):
I mean you gotta.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
But it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
People were really like Gate. Yeah, people were really rooting
for them. But there were to crime stoppers that led
authorities to a house in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday morning.
He was arrested in a cross space two to three
hours later.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Wait how much was the Was there a reward?

Speaker 3 (21:00):
They definitely had a reward.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
I don't know if this person's going to get a
reward though, I mean they were, you know, oh okay, yeah, Will.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
We're hiding him, You are hiding a convicted feeling.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Now, scientists have proved that the ideal age to stop
clubbing is I feel like we need a drum roll.
What is the ideal age to stop clubbing? And this
is also part of a new social behavior study out
of Berlin that found that nightlife has long term mental
health benefits for people who stay active in nightlife communities
as they age. So the ideal age to stop clubbing is.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
Sixty nine? You got time?

Speaker 6 (21:38):
We over got time?

Speaker 11 (21:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Time, baby?

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Where are we going? Sixty?

Speaker 9 (21:42):
To me?

Speaker 5 (21:43):
Like sixty nine is crazy.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
I feel like I just started recently in a few
last few years. So you know, it is what it is.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
It's all about how you feel.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Oh, how do you feel right now when you go
out and then you drink, and then how you feel now?

Speaker 4 (21:55):
I feel people who kept going out regularly past their
thirties reporting twenty five percent higher life satisfaction and forty
percent lower stress than those who grew out of it.
So for everybody who's like, ah my, damn, no, that's stress.

Speaker 5 (22:09):
That's because they single and they just out trying to
figure it out.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Well, anyways of us, that is your under the radar.
Don't forget.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Chef JJ is going to be joining us. The cookout
is happening here in New York on the eighteenth. Get
your tickets now because they are going to sell out.
I think they're almost sold out. And we got the
way it makes at the top of the hour, So
you know, keep partying as long as you're sixty nine
or younger. Let's have a good time. It's way up
way just like.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
The Talt like they Angel Jean, like they angela jee Man.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
She's spilling it all. This is yuat way up.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
Yeah, it's what y'all put Angela yee, I'm here, chill
us here, I am Jojo Alonzo's here.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
You're all right, I guess the jobs aren't working. Well,
let's get into some yut.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
So Milania Trump has a documentary that's coming to theaters.
It'll be released exclusively January thirtieth, the next year in
the US and then Amazon MGM studios also have paid
for the rights to that movie. How much y'all think
they paid? If you have to guess, about forty million dollars.

(23:19):
Let me tell you something. He is raking in the
money wow while they're in office. But it's basically about
the time leading up to Donald Trump transitioning into the
White House and re entering public life with her family.
All kinds of exclusive footage and things like that. So yeah,
you excited, No, not me. All right now, the Vince

(23:41):
Staples Show has gotten The season two trailer is out
right now. November six is when the sixth episode series
returns to Netflix. Remember, he did this whole campaign because
he wanted to make sure the show was coming back.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
So here's some of that trailer.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
You know what, I didn't.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Even think about all the responsibility you got. There's a
lot of stress on you, first of swap meet situation.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
Then Uncle James, I don't even think I started to
ask you how you feeling.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Hello.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
So it's really more visual, so you got to kind
of watch it to see what's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
But you excited for that.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
I'm so excited. I love this show. And it came out.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
I just was like, okay, let me, let me, let
me try it out, let me see me and I like,
be yeah, it's so funny. I binge washed it and
I was mad. I binge watched it because I'm like,
I want more of it. I didn't even know if
it was gonna come out, and it was.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Quick, right because it wasn't a lot of This is
only six episodes, right, But I'm glad that it got
renewed and I'm glad it's coming back six episodes.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Okay, all right?

Speaker 4 (24:42):
And Judge Greg Mathis recently was on Tamman Hall and
he talked. He was there with his wife, Linda Reece Mathis.
They're opening up about how they got back together. Remember
that she filed for divorce. He wanted to get his
family back. Here's what he said.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
They were devastating and felt like the when I lost
my mother and I do anything to get my mother back.

Speaker 6 (25:05):
So I did anything to get my wife.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Oh my god, that was.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
As you should. I love that. Wait, so I can
get some guys like that about me.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
It'd be some guys, not just one.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
So she some she that wasn't a mistake. But no,
it's just like you know these men though, it's like
they don't really be knowing what they have until they
lose it.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
You got to go do all these heartbreak, all these
trauma because you was doing whatever you was doing.

Speaker 4 (25:34):
But they were together for thirty nine years already, they
had four kids together. Remember they had a reality show
and everything. But she said she just had to really
like take care of herself. And they have done a
lot of work and learn each other again, and they've.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Enjoy their time doing that.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
That's beautiful.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
That's a serious bid when you put that much time in.
So I have to imagine there's a lot of ups
and downs, and so reinventing that is I'm sure refreshing.
All right, now, let's talk about Rolling Stones. They just
Rolling Stone just did their twenty first century's Greatest song.
So far they did the top two hundred and fifty

(26:13):
and do y'all want to know what the number one.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
Song was on that list?

Speaker 5 (26:16):
Whatzy?

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Well?

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Whatzzy the number one song?

Speaker 4 (26:19):
But?

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Can I get a drum roll again?

Speaker 6 (26:22):
I think I know?

Speaker 4 (26:23):
Okay, I think so, Missy Elliott, get your freaking okay. Hey.
When I was looking at the explanation of why this
made it to number one, it was about the futuristic
sound of it, you know, get your freak on. Nearly
didn't happen. Timbland was exhausted. He wanted to leave the studio.
Missy insisted her album needed one more song. She said,

(26:43):
he just started hitting anything. He was bamming on a keyboard.
He was ready to go, and he hit something and
I was like, that's it right there. And that's when
she went in a booth and did the record.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Listen, I go go for that, Missy Elliott, get your
freak gone back then too?

Speaker 6 (26:55):
You know what I mean? You never did? Yeah? I
like that.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
You've never ain't anything like that or anything like that.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
That's the number one song according to Rolling Stone.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Number three was Beyonce and jay Z Crazy in Love O.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Number seven was Kenjack Lamar alright, we're gonna be all right.
Number ten Frank Ocean thinking about You Bad Bunny was
number eleven with Safayra.

Speaker 6 (27:21):
That's number two.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Number two was a yeah, yeah, yeahs Maps, I don't
think you yeah, I don't know that song, so I
didn't think.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Take me through that one line Bling seventeen.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Listen this list boy, You know these are always subjective.
It gets the people talking. Gasolina's on there, Daddy Yankee,
number fourteen, that's my joint.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Yeah, yeah, I was listening to that from Chicago.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Was listening to that.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Listen. You gotta go through all two hundred and fifty
to season.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
That's the whole boy. Listen.

Speaker 5 (27:50):
Ain't nobody on the top ten.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
All right, Well that is your yea tee. When we
come back, ask ye any question you have. We're here
to help you out. Eight hundred and two ninety fifty
one to call us up. That's eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty ask yee.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Is next, whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
This is what's up its way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
I'm here with Cella jo Alonzo Diamond on the line
for ask yee, hey, Diamond.

Speaker 13 (28:18):
Hi, what's up?

Speaker 6 (28:20):
Y'all?

Speaker 4 (28:22):
The ladies are here and we're ready for your questions.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Okay, So I'm still.

Speaker 6 (28:27):
With this guy.

Speaker 7 (28:28):
We kind of been on and off, but recently we've
been on.

Speaker 12 (28:31):
At the beginning of September, I kind of found out
that he was actively pushed on someone else.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
I confronted him about it.

Speaker 8 (28:38):
I seen the evidence.

Speaker 6 (28:39):
It was fill the evidence.

Speaker 5 (28:40):
It was more than ninety He owned up to it,
but he.

Speaker 10 (28:43):
Made it seem like, Oh, this is nothing and I
can get it if we're going to move forward.

Speaker 8 (28:48):
Well, yesterday I found out that he is in fact
still in communication with her.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
So I just let this go. Lady G do y'all
live together?

Speaker 6 (28:58):
Yes, we've been together.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
What did he say when you said something to happen
the first time?

Speaker 8 (29:04):
That took a lot because I want you packing myself
up to leave.

Speaker 6 (29:07):
I wasn't gonna say, See.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
If you are living with this man and this is
who you're with and you have a future with him,
you should be able to talk to him.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
And you need to tell him.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Look, I just need to understand this because I know
you're still communicating with her, and I'm not sure what's
going on with this? But we had a conversation. I
told you how it made me feel, and you told
me one thing and you did another. So I'm trying
to figure out where do we go from here?

Speaker 1 (29:30):
But still get you on him, b Still get you
somebody on the side. Don't just put all your eggs
in one bucket, because you know what you know. If
you don't want to be with him, this is just
what it is. He said he was gonna stop dealing
with her.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
He did it.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
I don't care if he's taking it a long time
or a fast time. You gotta let him go.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
And even if you don't want to let him go,
like forever, you got to prove a point, like okay,
I said this. You got to set some boundaries. I
said this, you didn't do it. Now, Finna go for
however long.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
It is that you need to leave to make him
trip out, that's what you're gonna have to do.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
I don't know about leaving right away. Do we bring
all the bills? Yeah, so you kind of gotta balance
it out. I don't know about yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
I mean, my thing is you didn't catch him physically,
but he did tell you something and he's not abiding
by that, and he is being sneaky behind your back. Now,
what you don't need to do is try to like
think too hard, and you need to talk to your man.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
That's your man.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
If you could lay down with him and have unprotected
sex with him, you should be able to ask him
any question you want to ask him.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
I just kind of just want to know what it
is so we can move a cord.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
You know what it is.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
You know what it is, but you do he know
everything you be doing on the side.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
No, so you went through the phone and you found
some stuff out, so you gotta be realistic.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
I won't say just leave him right away.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Well that's just mean she's like, I'm more confused now
than when I first.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
She's gotta be real with herself. She knows she didn't
talk to somebody on the side, Like, come on.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
We honestly we can't tell you what to do. What
you gotta do is talk to him.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
And I think that you have to follow your instincts
and if he doesn't respond in a way that you
feel comfortable with solutions that mean something to you, then
you have to be prepared to say I don't want
to do this anymore. But you got to hear him
out and hear what he has to say.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
Period.

Speaker 10 (31:15):
Okay, well, thank you ladies.

Speaker 8 (31:17):
I appreciate it because when I tell you I need it,
I need it unbiased opinion.

Speaker 6 (31:22):
So thank you.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yeah, you welcome girl. Because we don't know what he
got going on, but we can't. We can't. Yeah, you
got to talk to him, all right, Well that is
asked yee. Sorry if we confuse you.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty, call us
up if you have any questions. And when we come back,
Chef JJ is going to be joining us. He has
an amazing event called the Cookout with twelve different chefs
joining us and it's going to be happening on October eighteenth.
We're going to give you some more details, but you
know he is an award winning chef and you're gonna
love the information he has for you. It's way up,

(31:57):
No begos to train.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
It's a women in radio audio minute. We're talking about
Angela ye. You're way up with Angela yee. Please believe
that what's up this way?

Speaker 3 (32:07):
You put Angela yee.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
My girl tell A eight is hair from Chicago and
my guy, Chef JJ is here with me. Listen, you
know it's about that time, Yes, it is. We're getting
ready for the cookout. And this is something that independently
you're doing now, so we have to extra extra extra
come out.

Speaker 13 (32:23):
You know, the cookout.

Speaker 11 (32:24):
Celebration for black culture. You know wherever you're from in
the US that you always have had a cookout. But
what I've tried to do is celebrate black and now
Brown chefs in communities that need awareness, Restaurants that you
might never heard of, chefs you don't know, caterers, and
I wanted to take it on on my own to
shed a different light.

Speaker 13 (32:43):
This year, we only have twelve chefs. Everybody gets to
cook where they want to cook.

Speaker 11 (32:47):
It's going to be a lot of live entertainment, but
the biggest thing is, like I think in society right
now when we're talking about the culture, is like who
is supporting the culture? And we know we're only supporting
each other. So that's what it's really about. And also,
your tickets go to a great organization called Reathing Food
that's feeding your community. So we're going to be feeding

(33:08):
every borough in New York City after the cookout with
ten percent of your ticket price. That's going to go
to rethink and you're going to know what restaurants were
feeding people in your community right now, tell.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
It tab with me, and we are talking to Chef
JJ about the cookouts. Now this might be controversial. Cities
that have the best food, now, you know, tell it
represents Chicago.

Speaker 6 (33:27):
This is the fact.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
And they recently put out a list. I'm gonna pull
up the exactly.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
A ninety six year old New York and I didn't
say it was at New York because you know, there's
always the beef of pizza.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Yes, between New York and Chicago.

Speaker 6 (33:44):
I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
I feel like the Troy has entered the picture on
that too.

Speaker 13 (33:47):
Choice Connecticut is in it now too, Yeah, Connecticut.

Speaker 6 (33:49):
Now as well Chicago. I mean New York.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Y'all got the fashion. I get y'all there, but when
it comes to food, we get it. And that's not
the no, not pizza.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
But okay, So besides New York, and let's say Chicago's
number two, where else would you say.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Are for when it comes to being a foodie? Give
me the top five?

Speaker 13 (34:07):
I think Houston is strong, New Orleans is strong.

Speaker 11 (34:14):
I got to get big up to a restaurant named
The Car made North America's fifty Best list this year,
number six for Cenic leaves food that was a shakra.

Speaker 13 (34:22):
So I think the whole food community and that's the
New Orleans.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Do you think that.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
Food that comes from like black and brown places gets
the respect that it deserves when it comes to conversations
about Micheland Stars or being on these lists of top restaurants.

Speaker 11 (34:39):
I think that it's still not there. I think we're
starting to see a change around it. I think every
state now has a restaurant that's Afro Caribbean or some
type of part of the diaspora.

Speaker 13 (34:51):
Cooking at the high level.

Speaker 11 (34:53):
You're seeing it, and I think the industry, the guys
Michelin Star, New York Times, James Beard World's fifty Best,
I don't think they can really turn their back on
it because people that are investing or people that are
sitting on boards also have some type of influence in
these in these places that are like hell, you need
to go taste this food, you need to go pull

(35:14):
up to virtue because the food is actually really good,
and these chefs actually are doing more than just cooking,
like they're supporting a community all right.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Chef JJ is here, James Beard Award winning chef New
York Times best selling cookbook, and he's got the Cookout
coming up on October eighteenth.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
We have more with him when we come back. It's
way up here.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Turn me up here, we go up there. This is
way up with Angela.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Ye, what's up his way up? But Angela yee.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I'm here with my girl Tela h and my guy.
Chef JJ is here. He's got an amazing foodie event
happening October eighteenth. It's called the Cookout. Now, Chef JJ,
do you wash your chicken?

Speaker 6 (35:54):
Of course?

Speaker 13 (35:55):
Okay, I'm doctors.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
I ain't gonna lie. Marcus Samuelson was up here here
his chicken.

Speaker 13 (35:59):
Stop it if I on my phone right now, everybody, first,
hold on.

Speaker 6 (36:06):
Let me let you know what that's something.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Don't let.

Speaker 11 (36:14):
I think I'm gonna put it to you like this.
Any piece of meat that is in plastic, that's cryal,
that needs to.

Speaker 6 (36:21):
Be washed, you can't.

Speaker 13 (36:23):
It's sitting in its own juices like in there.

Speaker 11 (36:25):
It needs to be ripped. Nobody saying like it's soap
and water, but it needs to be rinsed. And also
like the processing of the system is like somebody broke
down the chicken. Then it went into something, then it
got cried, then it went on the truck, then it
went here, like you need to just you don't know
it's underneath the plastic. You don't know it's there, Like
besides all the other self, the heat will kill the germs.

Speaker 6 (36:47):
But it's different.

Speaker 11 (36:47):
You know, we as a culture washed chicken, and we
really don't even like when when you were when when
your grandma or your auntie was hitting it with like
the apple side of vinegar and all that was like
a quick It was like a quick brind. It's basically
brinding it, but it was like a quickness. But it
also is like pulling out all this quote unquote bacteria.
I rint my lamb a turkey burger. Would you you

(37:10):
can't do that? Now, you can't do that because that's
sitting in this Jesus, you can't do that.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
You gotta wash. I'm sure.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Trust me he doesn't. So you just take it out
the pack and just cook it.

Speaker 11 (37:21):
