This is a good about last night. I have all
these huge marks on my back, but we'll talk about why.
Oh okay, it's way up.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
I'm turn your lights on, y'all, spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Hina light on, shine a light on. It's time to
shine a light on them.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, what ya put angela yee. I'm here with a
keen wos a comedian extraordinary?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Ooh are you right?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
And today I got a shina light. I know it's
family time. My brother. Today is his birthday. You know,
my mom's birthday was on the twenty sixth. Today is
my brother's birthday. Libras And you know what I want
to say this about my brother. He's a year and
three months older than me. He's super smart. A lot
of times don't know what he's talking about. He like, literally,
(01:50):
when we were younger, he knew he wanted to go
to Brown University since we were young. He got accepted early.
It made me look so bad because he's older, but
he is the person that he knows how to do,
like all kinds of things. When it comes to three
D like, I honestly, when you have a conversation with
my brother, you like, I don't know what he's talking about.
The other thing that he was really ahead of the
curve on was cannabis. And when I tell you, my
(02:10):
brother can make anything in the kitchen, any type of edible.
And now it's legal. So that's amazing. So now I
can publicly talk about it. I used to text me
and be like, hey, can you He'd be like, hey,
stop texting me stuff like that. I don't know what
you're talking about. Now I can be like, hey, can
you bring me some weed? So it's a different day
and age, but shout out to my brother. It's his birthday.
He's a good person. He was at my house over
the weekend with his friends celebrating, and he literally has
(02:32):
the same friends that he's had since we were I
think I have I feel like you have to have.
He's you know, he lives in Brooklyn also, But you know,
just love it. I love having a big brother. Anytime
I need him to do something, he's always there. He
may complain a little, but then he always does it.
I appreciate you all right now. Eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty Antonio, who do you want to
shine a light on.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
I want to shine a.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Light on my daughter. Today's her birthday, Alyssa.
Speaker 6 (02:56):
Yesterday was my mom's birthday.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
You just like me, all libras around us. Oh yeah,
how old is Alissa?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Fourteen?
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Oh my goodness, fourteen years. I remember what I was
like at fourteen. I hope she is the opposite of that. Man,
I remember those days. Boy. All right, well, shout out
to a Lissa. Happy birthday, girl. Leavers are our fire.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
We love it.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
All right, thank you for calling.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
That was Shina Light eight hundred and two nine two
fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through, you
could always leave a message and Shina Light that way.
And when we come back, we got your Yet. So
much to talk about from over the weekend. The Super
Bowl halftime show. I'm excited also, Terrence Crawford not excited
for this. This is awful. Imagine you're celebrating in your
hometown and then the police pull a gun on you.
(03:47):
Will tell you what happened to Terrence. Bud Crawford. It's
way up.
Speaker 6 (03:50):
This says in the.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Rooms from Industry Shade to all of gossip out send
angelas speeling.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
That yet all right, this way up with Angela. I'm
here and of course a Queen Woods is here.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
We're back.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
We are so excited about bead Bonnie hosting while performing
at the Super Bowl halftime show for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Yes, cannot wait.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yes, and he posted I've been thinking about it these days,
and after talking with my team, I think I'll do
just one date in the United States and then the
next day. Hey, y'all vote it in Spanish? Yeah I did, Yeah,
but I could you want me to read it in
Spanish for you? Because my Spanish is really good? Oh,
go do it estevee pensandra and estos das iluego depok
(04:33):
are una sola.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
And ooh that actually was way better than I thought.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Good for you, I got an a in Spanish. But
you know, I think living in New York, you have
to speak Spanish. How do you exist here and not
know how to speak Spanish? So I'm excited about that.
Why I'm really excited is the statement that something like
this makes. He brought in so much money to Puerto
Rico because he did not want to go on tour
in the United States with everything that's happening, with all
of these ice agents raiding places. I was just looking
(05:00):
at something that just happened in Chicago.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
With the guy running on the on the block.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
All you get to say something and then they start
chasing him down. We can't even speak, and you know
what I mean. And so anyway, I just think it's
a great statement to make. I know some people were
really upset about that, and I love it.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
If racist people, I'm mad, I'm.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Happy, all right. And jay Z made a statement. What
Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico
is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on
the world's biggest stage, not to mention that he has
an amazing show, of course, So I'm excited for that,
all right. Terrence Crawford in the meantime, imagine this, he
was leaving his victory celebration. You know, just huge who
(05:39):
choose for boxing? Right, He's broken all kinds of records,
done things nobody else has done before. And the Omaha
Police Department he's from Omaha, actually forced him out of
his car at gunpoint. Everything is caught on video. Here's
what it sounded like.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
I'm I'm keeping I'm not reaching for.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
All right. You know, he beat Canelo Alvarez. He's an
undefeated boxing champ. He's currently the undisputed welthweight and super
middleweight champion. By the way, guns were legal that they had.
They didn't do anything wrong, and the officer made him
get out of the car. And so now the mayor
has released a statement. Omaha Mayor John Ewing said, I
learned Omaha police pulled over Terrence Burg Crawford on a
(06:25):
traffic stop downtown early this morning. After learning of this,
I spoke personally to Bud Crawford. I acknowledged the seriousness
of what occurred in how trust between law enforcement and
our community is important and shows the need to be
continuously vigilant about building relationships. So they are pledging an
internal investigation. Now, yeah, it was a quote unquote traffic stop,
(06:49):
but you know how they do. Yeah, you know how
they do. So imagine that you didn't even realize this
is your hometown hero.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
That just literally black all they say.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
On the flip side, Connor McGregor is saying that he's
planning to do this one hundred million dollar fight for
the White House here's what he said. I'm not negotiating
with the UFC on behalf of myself for this fight
like usual.
Speaker 7 (07:13):
I'm negotiating with the United States of America on behalf
of Ireland for this fight.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
So it's a peculiar one. But Trump and the administration
have been fully supportive.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I'm backing and I cannot wait.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
So it's the UFC Big America two hundred and fifty
event that's going to be in DC at the end
of June. I don't think that's worth for him one
hundred million.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Sorry, listen, all I'm saying is the only fight I
want to see Oconna is if he's fighting Trump.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
All right, well that is your Yet, when we come back,
we have about last night where we discussed what we
did last night. At a time this weekend, I told
you it was my mom's birthday. Today is my brother's birthday,
Today's National Coffee Day. A lot going on his way up.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Yeah, but Angela, yee, I'm here with Comedia an extraordinary.
I came would hey, hey, what were you doing? What
were you doing over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Honestly, it was my first weekend off in like three
two and a half months. So I did nothing.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Oh I love that for you. Sometimes we need that. Yeah,
well I did a lot this weekend. On Friday, we
actually had a party at my coffee shop for Keys,
my makeup artist. It was her birthday.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
I know, someone was supposed to text me the actress,
and they didn't.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I came, you can definitely get the address without me
texting it to you. That's an awful excuse, I know,
but that's use a big go. And then I had
a meeting with Mark, the founder for ten to one Rum,
so I was there with him. First, A shout out
to everybody that came out for my girl.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Keys have birthday.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Keys, by the way, the food was amazing. We had
a cater by a one. It was delicious, so thank
you to the caterber. Then the next morning, I got
up early and went and did acupuncture. Now I told
you earlier I have these marks in my back because
I also did cupping. I don't know if you've ever
done cupping.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
I've never done. I want to do both. I've heard that.
I feel like that's something that would help me.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
So I will set you up life wellness in Brooklyn.
That is my spot. When I tell you I love it,
I need to get there more often. It was an
amazing experience. It's not one of those massages where you
lay there and fall asleep and it's gentle.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Well, I kind of like you sometimes you need to
the cs are clinked out.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
It's definitely like, yeah, So Jamilla is the person who
did my massage, and then Adi is the one that
did my acupuncture. He's the acupuncture so he's the one
that does that. When I tell you amazing, shout out
to Khadija also for putting me onto that. You know,
they own the spot, but it's beautiful. They also do
(09:40):
community acupuncture, so it's a sliding skill. So if you're like,
you know, I want to try it. I'm in the community,
but I can't pay to whatever two hundred dollars let's
say it is. Then they actually will let you pay
what you can at certain times to do that. So
I love that. It's very community oriented. It's like right
in the middle of bestye And then I've been doing
I did a lot this weekend. I'm not gonna lie.
(10:01):
I went to Tatiana's for dinner, so that was a
good time. Dinner was amazing. Shout out to basket leader.
Is that Caribbean it's Afro Caribbean, Yes, Chef Kwame, that's
my guy. That's all right, Well that was my weekend.
I know it is all right. Well when we come back,
tell us a secret, perfect segment. Maybe there's something that
you did over the weekend that nobody knows about you
(10:22):
is creeping. You want to tell us about it. It's
a no judgment zone, and you are anonymous. You can
call us up and tell us a secret. Oh maybe
what can? You have so many secrets?
Speaker 1 (10:32):
But I feel like, but this isn't about me, This
is about y'all.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Call us.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Well, maybe it's something that you did when you were younger,
twenty years ago and you've never told anybody, but you
want to share it with us. I have some of those.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Give us the number due.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
We have elementary school secrets that I can remember, me too.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us
up and tell us a secret. It's way up, yo.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
It's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here with aquem Wood.
You just told us a secret. I don't feel like
I should expose it on the air.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
You shouldn't because it was me and you.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Okay, all right, but if you go in another room
and call, you can be anonymous and we won't judge you.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
People voice.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
Anonymous, call it tell us your secret.
Speaker 8 (11:15):
So I'm currently I work right now for Monday, and
I'm working this job that I'm completely underqualified for.

Speaker 9 (11:27):

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Anyway, So are you just lying on your resume? Like
what's happening?
Speaker 6 (11:39):
No, everything with my resume is one percent true.
Speaker 8 (11:42):
But I basically I'm a little in over my head.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Exactly makes sense.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Can you tell us what the what the job is.
Speaker 6 (11:50):
That specifically, but I can tell you that it does
benefit the world.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Okay, thank you? Not a surgeon or anything I need
to know?
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Feel No, okay, nothing, but.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
You're gonna let it's just not that crazy.

Speaker 9 (12:07):

Speaker 6 (12:08):

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Okay, wait a minite hold on it has to do
with health.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
What kind of health? What are you doing?
Speaker 3 (12:18):
The health of the world in terms of oh like
change or industry college.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Tell us the secret without telling us the secret.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
You don't how many people right now are in jobs.
They're not qualified for me right now.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
But that's the point.
Speaker 8 (12:35):
That's very true.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
That's very true.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Listen, You're not alone a lot of people. I'm glad
that you're bold enough to make it happen, and I
hope that you become qualified while you're there. You know
what they say, fake it till.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
You make it, fake it till you make it. That's
what I've been doing my whole career. So you know,
I was about to make sure I knew where it was,
so I don't go there.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I like that fanessing you did, all right? Well, good
luck okay, and let you know if they hire, good
luck to the world too, because the world is in
his hands. All right. Thank you for calling.

Speaker 8 (13:15):
Hey, me and my baby daddy had a three son
with my ax sister Dan. Couple years later I got
married and me and my husband end up having a
port song with my baby daddy's sister.

It sounds like.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (14:06):
Sometimes I get here that the sex fife will by
me when they want to pee, they want they want
to fly. Well there, yeah, it's my biggest secret.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Don't tell me nobody, nobody has to know. It's just
us and they were listening, all right. Thank you for
calling bye.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Baby goo bye.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Well that was tell us a secret. Eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty fifty Jess, the case you couldn't
get through.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I loved her energy.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
We got time for you, all right, and when we
come back, we have yr yee tea and all of
this young thug wife and Lucci. Everything that's been going
on in Atlanta. I mean, it is popping right now.
We'll give you some updates. People were asking why was
Young thug and white face and had everybody as a
white person, you know on his album. We'll tell you why.
It's way up.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid about this spot.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Let's get it.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Angelus feeling that yea tea, Come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
It's way up. But yee, I'm here with my guy
a Keen Woods.
Speaker 9 (15:02):
What it do? What did it do?
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Now, let's get into some of this et. Young dog
a lot going on with him. You know, his album
is out, Yui scooty?
Speaker 9 (15:11):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Am I saying that right? Ui scooty scooty, Eu scooty.
I can't say it right. Every time I look at it,
I'm like, But anyway, there's a lot of questions that
people have, For instance, why on the cover is he
in white face? And then he did a post with
like everybody like Mariot the Scientist sexy red as white people. Well,
he was recently on uh, he was recently on the
(15:32):
It's Up There podcast, and here's what he had to
say about that.
Speaker 7 (15:35):
I think it was just like some funny but it's
still like serious to the point whereas like I went
with it, but we always joked and played in my hood,
like you want to be the biggest go white. And
that's why I said when I put am covad, if
you want to be the biggest go white.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
H I don't that's weird, but I need some more
context and I needed to be more like because it
just yeah, I don't know, all right, Well, it was
confusing for a lot of people. Now, another thing that
he discusses, and I will say, like, you know, I
(16:11):
think Young Thug was so celebrated, but then when those
calls leaked that really hurt him.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
He was talking about he.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Was talking about his own friends, and he even acknowledged that,
like I'm talking about my friends. I can't believe that's
the person I was, or I guess now people would
say that I am. But he has explained previously that
he was in jail, he was depressed, he didn't know
what was going to happen, and he was just unhappy. Well,
here's what he had to say while he was on
the Pivot podcast about thinking that maybe he is depressed
(16:42):
or maybe it's just people telling him he is I don't.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Even really know what the press is.
Speaker 11 (16:46):
I'd be having like talks with my girl, you know,
just like some of the homies like damn bro you
the prayer you hurt. I never just really dealt with
I was just so caught up until just like shows
my craft and just like helping people do it to
the point, I don't know. I think I'm depressed, but
I just think it's because everybody.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Telling me I don't know if I am.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
I don't say it like right now.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Years sounds like Ginese therapy.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Yeah, for sure, he posted, if I didn't have kids,
I wouldn't even care to live. I did a lot
of taking up for people all over this world, and
so far I've yet to see someone take up for me.
Good though, And then he said, I feel like I'm
not winning with the people I'm supposed to be winning with.
And so he's been expressing a lot of different things,
a lot of self reflection. I think has to happen too,
because I mean a lot to unpack. I don't even
(17:33):
think we could do it in these one minutes that
we have left. But one thing that he did was
a surprise concert in front of Fulton County Courthouse, and
this was yesterday. He actually did a whole thing for
stopping the violence. And he also linked up with wife
and Lucci, you know, the two of them. I mean,
it was literally like their cruise beefing with each other.
(17:54):
I remember interviewing Wife and Lucci and he was saying
it's just above him as too many people, too much
bloodshed had happened, and well, here is young Doug performing
outside of the courthouse.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
We got rid of our problems.
Speaker 10 (18:05):
Man.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
I hope y'all find a way to get rid of
the problems. Y'all out of y'all life, man. And I
need that for Atlanta, for the community, for the city.
Speaker 10 (18:11):
Man.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
We're trying to lose the people.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
But nothing, you know, even if it is something that's
just not worth losing people, bro, it's not worth living
that type of life and beeping and doing that type
of stuff.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Amazing.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Maybe he's repenting. That's good.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
I think a lot has happened. And if that's what's
gonna make everybody stop beefing with each other and bring
people together, y'all. Like I told you know, Lucia, I said,
y'all ain't got to be friends. But can we at
least it coexists in a space where people don't have
to feel like things are dangerous. All right, all right,
well that is your yeete. When we come back, we
have under the radar. These are the stories that are
(18:44):
flying under the radar, but you definitely need to know
about them. So much drama going on in the world.
I don't even know where to start, man, you know what,
Let's start with ice and Portland and everything that's been happening.
Donald Trump is sending in the true to Portland. Now
we'll discuss its way up news.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Under the radar, all right, it's way up with Angela yee,
I'm here and of course a Keim we is here
with me today. We are here, all right. Well, Donald
Trump has been threatening to send the National Guard into
Oregon and into Portland, and the city has sued the
(19:27):
Trump administration to stop it from deploying the National Guard. Now,
according to a White House spokesperson, they said that Donald
Trump's actions are lawful and that it would make Portland
safe for I didn't know Portland was unsafe.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
I just think he just picks any liberal city and
is like it's unsafe, Like he hasn't sent the National
Guard to any conservatcy.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
What I think is the city has seen quote unquote
small protests near an ice facility in recent weeks, and
that's really what they want to make sure that you know.
They Yeah, they have an agenda. Here's what Joyenne Reid
had to say when she was up here and I
was talking to her about the National Guard at the time. Uh,
you know, Donald Trump was talking about sending the National
Guard into Chicago and some people were feeling like, okay,
(20:10):
let's make Chicago safe. Well, here's what Joyenne Reid had
to say.
Speaker 10 (20:13):
National Guard has no arrest powers, no policing powers. So
even if you see National Guards somewhere in your community,
they can't do anything about crime. They can maybe stand
there and watch. Number two, the federalized police that they're
sending in they are harassing, they're not solving crimes, they're
not investigating crimes, and they're actually, as federal agents, not
supposed to do that.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
So just an FYI, you said you just send it
out white digital guns.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Because really it's about immigration, is what it seems like
they want to make sure that, and Ice has been
wilding when I see all these videos of how they're
handling people and abusing their authority someone.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Like fifty million dollars.
Speaker 9 (20:55):
And there are people who literally were here legally, and
they keep on changing the law and trying to.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Make it harder for people, Like it's ridiculous right now.
So but you know we're gonna all feel the pain
of all of this, all right, Well that is you're
under the writer. We got the Way Up mixed for
you at the top of the hour. Plus Connie Diamond
is going to be joining us. Her album Underdog Season
two came out earlier this month. We'll have a great
sit down. It's way up way She's like.
Speaker 8 (21:18):
A tout like they Angel Jean, like they Angel Jean.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
And she's spilling it all this is yeaky way up.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
It's way up. But Angela yee, I'm here. Akeen Woods
is here, war say, and let's get right into this yet.
So Jimmy kim Alive is back on all of these
Saint Clear ABC stations and in the blackout in cities
like Washington, DC and Seattle. In an official statement, sin
Clear emphasize are objected throughout this process has been to
ensure that programming remains accurate and engaging for the whitest
(21:50):
possible audience, the whitest, not whitest.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah I know that.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
I said whitest, which basically means they lost four billion dollars.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
And was like, oh no, Jim, we are canceling. And
the people spoke, you know, all right, Selena Gomez if
Bennie Blanco got married over the weekend, so congratulations to them.
It looked beautiful, she looked amazing, So shout out to
the two of them. Taylor Swift commented on her engagement
announcement back in December on social media, saying yes, I
will be the flower girl all right now. Nicki Minaj
(22:21):
has confirmed that her sixth studio album will be March
twenty seventh, twenty twenty six. She also posted, got Sundne
Sunsday and it's a Sunsday birthday. Ninja who won it
with the sun? Say retire Sunday only if my Suns
say three two seven, two six, that's my fun day.
So that's the album, okay, all right? She posted a
(22:42):
new incredible album, the Big One. It's time and yes,
it's time. It's it's it's definitely time. All right, Carti
bees am I the Drama opened at number one. That
is her second number one album, so congratulations to her.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Congratulation Carti. Yes, she she out on the streets. She's
so funny. She's out on the streets to pragnate selling
CDs and albums.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Her whole rollout, I think was very I feel like,
true to who she is and so it was fun,
it was creative. She's also going to be going on
her first tour in six years, the Little Miss Drama
Tour that starts February eleventh and Palm Desert, California. I
saw her thanking people on her social media just for
(23:25):
supporting her. She said, thank you so much everybody that
supported my album. Two weeks ago, the album was projected
to do one hundred and fifteen thousand off of outside
and imaginary players. I don't know what the outcome was
going to be. I didn't put out an album in
seven years and haven't put out as much music in
the last year, but we just surpassed all that expectation.
Thank you to everyone who gave the album a listen,
did a video to the songs and everything. You don't
(23:46):
know the confidence and boost you gave me in my
music to keep pushing. She said, tonight we celebrate. I
can't pop no champagne, but maybe I can open up
some cranberry juice or something.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Oh good for her.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Oh and Kenjack Lamar, he was supposed to be performing
in Colombia, but the contentt was canceled. That was supposed
to be Saturday night. People were there, and people were
trying to say at first that he wasn't able to
sell enough tickets, But that's not true because it was
pretty much sold out. What really happened was the venue
had structural and technical failures in its construction, and so
(24:18):
the venue actually canceled and they posted Kendrick show and
Bogota has been postponed due to stage issues and permit
issues and also other issues like the stadium not allowing
Kendrick to use fireworks. The show tonight was close to
selling out before the show began.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Yeah, let's not acting like Kendrick's I'm moving tickets.
Speaker 10 (24:34):
I know.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Did you see him in Mexico City. I mean that
looked wild.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
He's moving to he sells tickets all. He's global, He's
not just some local you know.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Rights. Yeah, and by the way NBA. Young boy was
in Brooklyn over the weekend. That looked wild, so shout
out to him too. All right, well that is your
yet when we come back, we have asked ye eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty men and I
came are here to help you out. Helped to help
let me hear your residuals challenge.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Ge this way up with it's relationship with career advice.
Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
You should know this is est what's up his way?
Speaker 9 (25:07):
Yep?
Speaker 2 (25:08):
But Angela? Yeah, I'm here with my guy A keen Wood.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (25:10):
Bro?
Speaker 2 (25:11):
And now we have somebody on the line. Did you
call me Bro? No, I'm saying, oh, okay, Well he
wants to stay anonymous. Eight hundred and two nine fifty Hey,
what's your question for? Ask ye?
Speaker 6 (25:21):
About a year ago, I started gambling and it just
went downhill. I am currently about to get evicted due
for the addiction. I want to tell my advice Mike fiance.
He recently told me.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
He was pregnant.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Have you stopped the gambling?
Speaker 8 (25:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Where was the last time you gambled?
Speaker 6 (25:41):
Around three weeks ago?
Speaker 2 (25:42):
How much would you say you owe?
Speaker 1 (25:44):
Bye?
Speaker 6 (25:44):
Grand I'm back up on so many builds. My fiance
currently doesn't know. I'm here to tell her.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
Have you come up with some solutions. I think the
thing to do is to show that you've learned your
lesson and that you're figuring out a way out of this.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
I've been trying to come up with plans. I've been
trying to call Rea. I have core on the oven
for a big cocoss. I want to try to come
up with a payment plan with my landlord.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Okay, so what I think you need to do is
start coming up with not just resources, but how are
you gonna make some money in order to be able
to pay these things? And come up with a plan
because you have to tell her, But you also have
to know how am I going to move forward? Because
I have the responsibility of a child on the way
and a wedding to plan. And I think you need
(26:29):
to actively seek help. The last time you gambled was
three weeks ago. Well, how do we know you're serious
about not getting into this situation even more? And I
want to say you need to actively get this going right,
like you need to be making sure and be serious
about it. Don't just say it because you don't want
her to be mad and you don't want her to leave.
You have to be accountable for the mistakes that you've
made in what you've done, but also show that you
(26:51):
have taken control in charge of it and that your
solution oriented. Because I would be so angry if I
was her. But if you can tell me, here's what
I'm doing. I'm working out this payment plan, I'm working
these extra hours. I got a second job, I'm handling things.
It's going to take me this amount of time. I've
went and I've spoken to a financial advisor at the bank,
and this is what they're telling me I need to do.
(27:13):
I've consolidated this, I'm working on all angles and this
will never happen again. That would make me more comfortable
because it's going to be a hard thing to tell.
But you can't go in there not knowing what you're
about to do.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
You got to figure out some side hustles. You got
to figure out how to make money. You're an adult
and you're about to be a father. Yeah, she needs
to know that she can trust you and rely on.
Right now that trust is going to be broken. But
the only thing you can do is be accountable, own
up to what it is that you've done, and show
that you are about to You know that you can
handle this moving forward and that you've learned from it.
And it's going to take a while for her to
(27:46):
even feel like she can trust you. She may say,
I don't even think we should get married.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
Right now, trust because you've been together since high food.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Well, listen, you're going to have to earn back that trust.
But you got to get your life back on track,
and you cannot be an asset in a relationship if
you can't even take care of yourself. I agree, and
stop gambling. No more of that. Whatever apps you have
on your phone wherever you were going, don't go there anymore.
Seek some professional help. This is not something that you
can kick on your own.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Okay, best of luck to you man, Thank you.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
That was asking ye eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty. I hope he comes through this on
the other end. But when we come back, Connie Diamond
is going to be joining us. She signed a deaf jam.
Her album Underdog Season two is out right now. It's
way up.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
I beg of lemos to famous women in radiodio we're
talking about angela Ye.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
You're way up with angela ye. Please believe that what's.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Up is way up with Angela yee. And look at
this consummate professional, Connie Diamond is here suffering from her
allergies but still showing up. Yes, absolutely, Underdog Season two
is out. How you feeling? I feel good. You still
feel like an underdog even after the first one. I
do well. Jet is a bop. Now it's jet your
word because I never heard it before.
Speaker 9 (29:00):
Jaz is not my word because you said that. I
was like, I know what it is after hearing the song,
but I've never heard that word before. Yeah, I mean
I feel like it's like a like a slang that
we use, like in New York. I don't know everyone
else uses it, but because I have a lot of
people who we talk to me and say, what does.
Speaker 10 (29:14):
The jat What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Okay, I'm glad I'm not the only one because I
like aged out of the lingo.
Speaker 9 (29:19):
Yeah, I mean, Jaz is a jatty, Like is like
replacing the F with a j Okay instead of saying,
oh she got a fatty, we said that like how
many years ago?
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Right, So so she got the jack she got the
jacket dated, Yeah, New York slain.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Hey, I think it's step from the front.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Huh, what till you see for the back?
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Dick put on the hold of the chat and then
your family, right is it? Your dad is from Trinidad,
my biological fall, he's from Trinidad.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Have you been?
Speaker 2 (29:46):
I have never been. I could see you at Carnival.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Really, I'm not a Carnival kind of girl.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Really, I would not get that because it seemed like
just from and you know it's so interesting, just from
your videos, it seemed like you would be a fun
outside like turn up for well, I'm definitely funding outside,
super turnent, but not like Carnival.
Speaker 9 (30:03):
Is like scan out like you know how you don't
think you'd be a little skin out to you, I don't,
That's not my vibe, but I would.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
I would definitely like attend a carnival and yes, but
not be in the.
Speaker 11 (30:14):
Parade, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Like right now, Connie Diamond is hair album Underdug Season
two is out right now, what do you think is
different now? Like as far as being signed to death Jam,
what are some things that they told you that they
felt like you should do because sometimes we have our
own idea of the type of artists that we are,
and then the label comes in and they're like, you
should try this, you should try that. What are some things?
Speaker 9 (30:35):
And I want to know what did you agree with
and what did you disagree with? Well, to be transparent,
like they don't really tell me what to do. So
maybe one time there was a time where like they
saw I don't want to say who it was specifically,
but like I had to do preuss you at one
point and they sent me like references of like Lotto
and like Mono Leo, who are too dope artists that
(30:57):
I love, and like they wanted me to like did
look like them for the shoe? And I'm really a
Tom girl, so like I could get on my girl,
but like I'm not gonna like do certain I won't
going to wear a certain I'm not gonna do certain
dress a story way, and they were like, yeah, we
need you to look like this, and I'm just like
I'm not doing that. That was only one Tom though,
so and then you and Remy obviously the two of
you are like Elm and Louise.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
That's my adults being honest, says She's so she ad
total sweetheart.
Speaker 9 (31:23):
And outside of Fab and Jim and everyone in Busta
that has like giving me like advice and the shoulder
to Lena, and she has been very very very very
very supportive.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
And I saw all the controversy over the song had
tapping people there, but I saw that you said she
was not referencing Clariciiciell's on that song. That was averse.
Speaker 9 (31:43):
I looked like arguing with a dump And why would
I fight you when I got a gum ship. We rap,
you know, we talkers. We talk about can't do this,
he can't do that. I'm the nice and that's New
York in US anyway, Like that's how we are. So
it's like you, I don't have anything else to say
about that.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
All right, Well, I appreciate you for coming up here today.
Underdug Season two is out right now, so make sure
y'all run that up.
Speaker 9 (32:04):
