Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are now Angelo what I call her?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Ye Oh hey, it's way up with Angela Yee and
my girl Cellah.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
I know that's right. And yes, what is today? Tuesday?
I want to say, No, it's Tuesday. Tuesday. Yeah, I
think it's Tuesday. Okay, well you don't even know what
day it is?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well tell us here from Chicago, but I will say yesterday.
Everybody keeps telling us to watch this Menanda's Brothers on Netflix,
and let's just say I watched it, and then it
watched Cella.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
She fell asleep.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
We'll try and see the whole thing, like nine episodes,
but we'll discuss that later. But in the meantime, another
show that I watched, Zatima. We have the characters of
Zach and Fatima a k A. Devale Ellis, and Christah
Renee Hasley joining us. You also can watch them on Sisters.
So they'll be here today and let's spread some love
and positivity on a Tuesday, all right. Eight hundred two
(01:06):
nine two fifty one fifty call us up. Let us
know who you would like to shine a light on. Again,
that's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty shine amine.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Turn your lights on y'all light spreading love to those
who are doing greatness. Hin the light on them, Shine
a light on them. It's time to shine a light
on them, all right?
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Is what?
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yup at? The ANGELA gee, I'm here, My girl Tella
is here age yep.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
And today I want to shine a light on an
article that I saw in Black Enterprise. A barber in
South Carolina who is lowering his prices. That's a very
rare thing. His name is Maurice C. Simmons, and he
said that he ran in to a former customer who
could no longer afford his services, and that's what inspired
him to lower prices. A lot of social media users
(01:52):
than chimed in and talk about how much more expensive
all of the grooming has been. Big Malcolm said, I
respect him for that. There is an appbsolutely no reason whatsoever
why a haircut should be fifty plus dollars. If a
father has three boys, he's paying around two hundred dollars
for cuts a week.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
That's eight hundred dollars a month.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
A lot of barbers have alienated their customers with outrageous
price hikes, and so he said he didn't necessarily make
more money when he raises prices.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
He just had fewer customers.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
So if you think about it, I fewer people can
afford a haircut. And you know what, I got to
ask Dan, our producer, Dan, how much do you pay?
Because I know your haircut is always an issue up here.
Speaker 6 (02:27):
I know, I hate to admit this. It's like after tip,
it's like eighty eighty five bucks. What I know, it's awful.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
And how often is that?
Speaker 6 (02:34):
I try and only go once a month, but frequently
it's been twice a month. The problem is, though, is
that I went to the fifteen twenty twenty five thirty
dollars haircuts and every time I just left furious to
push your land or my beard. It was usually my
beard getting messed up. So yeah, I was just like,
you know what I'd rather.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
And I do understand that people have had to raise
their prices because sometimes a lot of times your rent
goes up, the cost of products goes up, and sometimes
that gets passed on to the customers. But he did
say he's getting fewer clients, so he's not even making
you know, more money, So it is a balance that
you have to do.
Speaker 6 (03:05):
I definitely get less haircuts now.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
See all right, well, that's my shine of light. So
shout out to Maurice for seeing that in South Carolina
and actually lowering these prices.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Now, who do you guys want to shine a light on?
Eight hundred two.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Ninety fifty one fifty Katrina, Who would you like to
shine a light on today?
Speaker 7 (03:23):
I want to shine the light on my housband, Troy
Harris November twentieth to be two years sober?
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Okay, okay, Trey November twenty aeth that's soon three years, yes, ma'am.
What may him? Decided he needed help?
Speaker 7 (03:35):
He just came to me two years ago and said,
I need you to help me quit drinking. And it
was a struggle at first, but about a week later
he stopped the cold and then stopped every first.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Okay, that's good. So did he go to get help
or did he just do it on his own?
Speaker 7 (03:51):
He did it on his own, been doing it on
his own every firt You've been drinking since he was
fourteen or fifteen and he's forty seven. Now, wow, that's
coming and you just put it on the home.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
We'll shout out to both of you because it takes
a village, and I know sure you've been right there
by his side three years November twentieth. All right, well,
congratulations to Trey, yes, keep going, all right, Well that
was shining a light. Eight hundred and two nine two
fifty one fifty as a number in case you couldn't
get through.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
And when we come back, let's talk about R. Kelly.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
His lawyer is responding to his daughter's allegations in the
documentary Karma, A Daughter's Journey, and we'll tell you what
she's saying.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
It's way up.
Speaker 8 (04:32):
Well, she's like the Chalt like they Angela Jean, like
they angela jee Man.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Up, all right as way up with Angela Yee. I'm here,
tell us.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Here and Mayo's individual. All right, let's get into some yet,
and let's talk about R. Kelly's daughter, Bukuabi. She has
a documentary called Karma, A Daughter's Journey, and she has
some allegations against her father R.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Kelly. Here's what she had to say in the documentary.
I really like that.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
One Militch segment completely just changed my whole life.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Just remember waking up to him touching me, and.
Speaker 9 (05:17):
I didn't know what to do, kind of laid there
and I'm pretended to be sleep.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
I was too scared to tell anybody, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
So it's a super series, by the way. And R
Kelly's lawyer, Jennifer Banjen, is responding to these allegations, and
here is what she's saying.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Mister Kelly vehemently denies the allegations. These are frankly not
really new allegations. His ex wife made a similar allegation,
I don't know, fifteen or twenty years ago. The allegation
was investigated by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
He was under criminal investigation at the time, and the
DCFS determined that the allegation was unfounded many years ago.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
And you know, on her behalf in the documentary what
she said was her mom Andrea Kelly said that basically
she tried to file a police report about it. They
hadn't spoken about it publicly before that, and they were
told it was past statute of limitations. So I'm not
sure what's going on, But you know, I can't imagine
(06:25):
having to say something like this about your own father.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah, that's crazy, all right. Now.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Cassie is reportedly focusing on reviving her music career and
they're saying she's considering making a comeback to music now
that Diddy is behind bars and some of the executives
who work with him are resigning. So now she feels,
I guess more like, Okay, I can get back to
what I was doing, because she was already doing that
before she met him. Let's not forget like she was
(06:49):
with Ryan Leslie. She was doing music and then when
they were together, it kind of stopped.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
And I know that she has had other music.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
As a matter of fact, I has some stuff that
hasn't been released that maybe let you guys here, But anyway,
that would be nice for her to get back to
what she loves and what she was doing already, all right.
Jamie Fox returned to the stage after his major health
scare in twenty twenty three, and he went on social
media after performing his once More Chance and Evening with
Jamie Fox. He did a show in Atlanta earlier this month,
(07:20):
and he said God is good. As I post these pictures,
my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but
pure joy. On October third, fourth, and fifth, I had
an opportunity to tell my side of the story, and
there was no better place than Atlanta, Georgia. So congratulations
to him for getting back on stage. I know that
had to be. Okay, shime really tough after he I mean,
we didn't know if he was going to make it right,
(07:42):
So that was surprising. And fifty cent is officially doing
his first ever Vegas residency. According to sources familiar with
the deal, he has locked down fifteen million dollars to
do six shows inside had a Hollywood resort and in Hollywood.
That's going to kick off in December of twenty twenty five,
by the way, and so one of them is going
to be an exclusive New Year's Eve celebration that is
(08:05):
presented by his own Sire Spirits brand fifty in the
club I would go to that.
Speaker 10 (08:09):
I saw we should go six shows. Fifteen million.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
That's yeah, that's a nice check.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
That's so nice and is and I'm sure he'll extend
the residency, you know. All right, Well that is your
easy And when we come back, we have about last night.
That's where we discussed what we did last night. I'll
tell you what we had going on. Mayno, you were outside,
I know you were filming. Yeah, all right, it's way up.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Yeah, So about last nights I went down last night.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
It's way up on Angela yee, and Sheella's here h hey,
and Mano's here no.
Speaker 10 (08:48):
Man yeah, Mana.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
What did you do yesterday? I know you've been busy.
Speaker 11 (08:51):
Yeah, I was shooting for ink Master. You know the
show comes on. It used to be on Spike TV
now so Paramount. Okay, so he was an MTV building
all day shooting for that.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
You got something else?
Speaker 10 (09:02):
Yeah, today we live right now with a new Mano.
Speaker 11 (09:06):
Okay, right now in we put it out on in
the Black Network right now, so you can stream it
right now, download it on your phone, all your TV
right now for free and watch.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Okay, yes, we got to talk about this now. Tella
and I were first. We went to go eat last night.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
We went to Avraa right. You know, I love me
some Ova, so shout out to them.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
And then we went home.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
And everybody keeps talking about this show on Netflix, Monsters,
the Lyle and Eric Menande story. I know the documentary
is out also, but we started with the series, so
I don't know how much Chell is so because she
was asleep on the couch, I.
Speaker 9 (09:47):
Don't know. But I don't know what you saw up
to I think I fell asleep around episode two.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Okay, yeah, that's pretty early. But anyway, there's some very
I blicit scenes in there, because you know, everybody knows
the story. They're in jail, and so it shows when
they first get to jail, and then there's like a
shower scene. And one of the things that people have
been talking about is, you know, it is some full
(10:13):
frontal nudity shower scenes that are happening in there, and
so on Andy Cohen watch What Happens Live, they're talking
about the Cooper Kutch full frontal shower scene.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
And here is what was said, what is the scariest
thing about showing full frontal nudity on camera?
Speaker 6 (10:31):
It's not scary, I'd say, it's like just more uncomfortable
at first.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
And it's very cold, yes, sure, what scares you in
the shower?
Speaker 12 (10:40):
Right?
Speaker 10 (10:41):
Was the water warm?
Speaker 4 (10:42):
At least it was warm in the beginning.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
So he also says in this interview that he did
not wear a prosthetic because sometimes when they do nude scenes,
I said, Mark Wehlberg and Boogie Knights like he had
on a prosthetic.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
And he's been.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Getting a lot of critical acclaim for his role he
plays Eric Menendez in the series. But I wanted to
ask you, Mana, because you've been doing a lot of acting.
You got your own show, you know, new Mana is
Outside and Tella. You've been acting too. Yeah, seeing you
in some movies, and I got a new role coming
up too, Okay, talk about it. I want to know
if y'all would do new scenes.
Speaker 10 (11:17):
And I do new scenes and movies all the time.
Speaker 11 (11:20):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I haven't put it put them out yet.
I'm hitting yeah, I'm I'm the writer producer in the starf.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Okay, all right, But I'm talking about something that is accessible,
like it could be on television and theaters, it could
be streaming.
Speaker 10 (11:37):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Well, I know for me, it depends on how much
I'm getting paid. Okay, So it's about the money, not
about it is.
Speaker 9 (11:44):
It's about the money because I have a son, Okay,
so in certain ways I have to move.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
But if that check right, he'll be all right.
Speaker 11 (11:51):
So you're saying, like, just be new, like they catch
me getting out the bed.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Right, it could be a sex scene that could you know. Yeah,
it's just showing.
Speaker 10 (12:00):
Yeah, I don't mind.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Full front door or just from behind it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Okay, all right, all right, well we'll talking about it
with you guys listening. Let's just say you had an
opportunity to do a movie role, but you had to
be nude.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Would you do it?
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty call us up. Remember,
everyone's going to see this. If you have kids, family members,
co workers, everyone's going to see it. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Call us up.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
It's way up with Angela. Ye, let's go. You are
a media may then, right, you never know what AND's
gonna say.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
All right, it's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here
and my girl Cella is.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Here, and of course my guy Maino is in the know,
and we were talking about what we did last night. Now,
may no, you already watched the Menanda's Brothers documentary documentary,
but you haven't watched the series. That's all right, now,
it is it is. It's very explicit in some parts.
(12:57):
I will say that, like and I was like, woo
is a lot and it's meant to be a lot
because it's.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
I fell asleep.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
I remember Menandez story. Oh when he took Yeah, that's
le Menandaz. He has a hair piece and so imagine
having to go to jail and now you have your
hair pieces in quite right, take it with them.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
But the two other young Yeah, I don't know what happened.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
And you know what, there's a lot of people who
are saying they should get time served right now. You know,
according to the Daily Meal, the Menanda's brothers could be
free within weeks as they're preparing to announce re sentencing.
So I just want to say all of that. But
the question is, would you ever do a nude scene?
Because the way this movie is set up, there's definitely
some nude scenes in there. And Andy Cohen was on
Watch What Happens Live with the character who plays Eric Menandez,
(13:48):
and he has a scene in there, and they discussed
that a little bit at full frontal nude scene.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Would you do it?
Speaker 9 (13:53):
May no.
Speaker 11 (13:55):
Me jumping out the bed with the girl laying down, right,
we just had a night and I'm getting.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Up and had it up like play helicopter with it,
you know how, guys.
Speaker 10 (14:07):
I'm doing it.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
You would do it?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
You would play helicopter absolutely, Okay, Tella, you were doing
new scene.
Speaker 9 (14:15):
It depends it depends. I may, I may not. It depends.
It depends not just the money, but it depends.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
All right, Well, I tell y I you wouldn't do it,
but ils I don't worry even wear tight clothes.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
So what do you guys think, Yollo, would you do
a new scene?
Speaker 12 (14:30):
I actually have. I did one in the to be
movie called The Closest Line. Yeah. I was nervous, but
it wasn't that bad.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Everyone's about to look that up. So what did you
have to do in the movie.
Speaker 12 (14:41):
Well, my character Trina and I was kind of like
a like a thirsty side chick, you know what I'm saying.
So throughout the movie I couldn't get them, but I
had ended up getting them at the end of the movie, okay,
and he had me talkless and bit me over. I
had to walk out of the bathroom like into the room.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Do you have kids?
Speaker 13 (15:04):
I do?
Speaker 12 (15:05):
My kids are grown two And they start like, oh.
Speaker 10 (15:09):
My god, do you have an only fan page?
Speaker 3 (15:11):
I do not?
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Okay, just ask okay, look watch the Closest Ones.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
I'm trying to look. I'm gonna find this movie. You know,
everybody about to go look for this now, I hope.
Speaker 14 (15:21):
So you feel good that you did.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
You feel like you did good though. You're fine with it.
Speaker 12 (15:28):
I'm very pleased with it. I have not had any complaints.
A lot of people don't support it. Showed a lot
of love, so I wasn't tripping about it for real.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Okay, all right, well, thank you Yo for sharing that
with us.
Speaker 12 (15:40):
Thank you for having me Echelin.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Have a good day, you too, Lami, what's good?
Speaker 7 (15:46):
Good morning?
Speaker 3 (15:47):
I'm good, good morning. Would you do a new scene
in the movie?
Speaker 10 (15:50):
Yes, I would.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
He's like, I'm waiting for somebody to ask me right
up this alley.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Yeah, I don't have no problem with that.
Speaker 13 (15:57):
I'm never gun shot.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
Oh okay.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Do you do a lot of videos on your phone
like our friend here mano?
Speaker 12 (16:04):
No, I don't do a lot of videos on my phone,
but I don't have no problem doing it.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
He's comfortable with his body of course. All right, Well,
thank you for your confidence.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Kiarra. What's good?
Speaker 7 (16:16):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (16:16):
What's the what's that? Would you do a new scene
in the movie?
Speaker 12 (16:20):
Honestly, I would. It's for the right price.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
What's the right price?
Speaker 12 (16:23):
Anything above a hundred for the grand.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Okay, anything above a hundred grand. That's fair, that's reasonable.
Speaker 12 (16:29):
I feel like I feel like that's reasonable.
Speaker 10 (16:31):
So if they said they said they got twenty.
Speaker 12 (16:34):
For you, oh I don't feel like.
Speaker 10 (16:36):
That's If Bang bros.
Speaker 11 (16:38):
Or Roser says, oh my god, you got one hundred
grand for you to do a new scene, would you
do it?
Speaker 13 (16:43):
No?
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Okay, she's talking about a movie, not a porn.
Speaker 11 (16:46):
No different there, it's still a movie, no matter how
you look at it's a billion oure of the industry.
Speaker 12 (16:53):
Point.
Speaker 10 (16:53):
But let's let's be technically.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Okay, maybe she don't want to have sex.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
It could be you know, all right, we thank you
you too. All right, Well, it feels like a lot
of people would do it for the right price.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Okay, I know all will.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
All right, Well, when we come back, and I hate
to go into ditty stories when we come back, but
there are more people coming forward with accusations. I know
this is killing you, mano, but we're going to talk
about it.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Sure, she's about to blow the lead ab off this butt.
Let's get it. Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yeeze, Come
and get the tea.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
It's way up.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
I'm angela yee and mano's here, shell us here shallow.
Let's get into some yee t. Diddy is facing six
new lawsuits, and some of them are alleging sexual assault,
including against a minor. All right, So one is from
a John Doe who says he was sixteen when he
alleges that Diddy sexually assaulted him at one of his
(17:51):
white parties in nineteen ninety eight. He said he met
him at the party and did he took an interest
in him. They walked to a more private area near
the portable restrooms were brought in for the party. He
told him that he was a big fan, and then
things took an unexpected turn, according to John Doe. He
alleges that Comb did he told him he needed to
drop his pants, and then he asked him to repeat himself,
(18:13):
and did he made himself clear, instructed him to drop
his pants and expose his penis so that did he
could inspect it, saying it was a rite of passage
and the route to becoming a star, and also as
a way to prove himself. And he said he did
end up at a fair and anxiety and the power
dynamic dropping his pants and exposing it, and.
Speaker 10 (18:31):
So Johnny Doe just talking about this now.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah, this is a new allegation from nineteen ninety eight,
and he did say that did He moved his hands
in a fashion to manipulate his genitals and he was
only sixteen at the time.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Right, these are allegations.
Speaker 10 (18:49):
His allegation is getting more and more.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
You know, there's one hundred and twenty right now that
we know of that are being represented by the attorney
Tony Buzby.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
We're filed on Monday.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
But it also does span for decades from multiple locations,
and Didny's attorneys did respond with the statement to Hip
Hop DX. The press conference and one eight hundred number
that preceded today's biraj To filings were clear attempts to
garner publicity. Mister Combs and his legal team have full
confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity
of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevailed
(19:25):
that mister Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone adult or
minor man or woman. All right, So of course he's
denying these claims. There's another woman who was a college
freshman who says that did He raped her under threat
of violence, forced her to take off her clothes all
while she was begging him to stop. And she says
that alleges that she and her friend were locked in
(19:47):
a room with Ditty and he gave them drinks and
told them to do cocaine that he prepared for use
on a coffee table. She didn't want to do it,
and he got more aggressive to the point where he
began touching them without consent, according to these allegations.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Now one thing, uh bow wow.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
People are not happy about some things that he said
during his podcast, Well Roxy's podcast More to the Story.
He appeared on that and he basically talked about how
things aren't the same now that Diddy's not with his parties.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Here's what he said.
Speaker 11 (20:17):
He's like the gatekeeper to the game, to the point
to where what weekends just passed like bt what weekend?
It didn't like the past two They just didn't feel
right because there was no motion, there was no parties.
Speaker 10 (20:26):
There was nowhere to go.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Like be very specifically parties and freak.
Speaker 10 (20:30):
Offs the industry like the parties that we attend.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
All right, and Rossi said she's never been to a
freak off. She's been to parties, but that's a whole
different thing. All right, well that is your Yet when
we come back, we have under the radar. These are
the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They
are flying under the radar, but you need to know
about them anyway. Kamala Harris has unveiled her plan for
black men. Election Day is coming up November fourth. Remember
(20:56):
that it's way up.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
No news, listen the news that really to you. These
stories are flying under the radar, all right, as way.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Up with Angela yee, I'm here, manos here, no mayna
tell us here all right, and let's get into some
of these under the radar news.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
And I just want to say, as we are getting.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Ready for this election, we are going to have to
do things that are not necessarily under the radar. Now,
Kamala Harris has unveiled her plan for black men as
we're getting ready for this to happen. It's called Opportunity
Agenda for Black Men. If you have not read it,
suggests that you do go ahead and read it. Her proposal,
which was unveiled yesterday, talks about one million fully forgivable
(21:37):
loans of up to twenty thousand dollars for black business
owners and others looking to start businesses that's helpful, a
national initiative to focus on black men's health outcomes, more
investment in education, mentorship, and training programs designed to funnel
black men into good paying, high demand jobs in fields
where they are underrepresented, like teaching, but they're desperately needed there.
(21:57):
Supporting regulation to protect black men and others to invest
in and own cryptocurrencies, and legalizing recreational marijuana and creating
opportunities for black entrepreneurs in this budding industry. Those are
just some of the things that are in her proposal.
And she's also been doing a lot of different press
to talk about what she has going on.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
She sat with Roland Martin, she.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Did the Shade Room, she did Call Her Daddy, the
View sixty Minutes, Howard Stearns, Stephen Colbert.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Word is that she's going to be doing Joe Rogan
coming up.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I think her team has already been in contact and
they're trying to figure that out.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
And she's doing Fox News as well.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
And today there is also a We the People iHeartMedia
audio town hall that's happening with Charlemagne and Kamala Harris.
So that is going to be happening today for you
guys to be able to tune in. So just make
sure you stay educated on everything that's happening, because I've
heard the whole gamut of misinformation, and I know, even
(22:51):
sitting up here like us having conversations behind the scenes,
being able to say, no, this is actually you know
what she said, this is what she's doing. But she
is going on a lot of these platforms to try.
Speaker 11 (23:01):
To reach trying to debunk some of those Yes, right,
I like some of those things that she's talking about,
but I would like to also see something young black boys,
some preventative, you know, measures to keep them walk these
streets out these prisons.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
And she does have other plans, so you have to
read the full okay, the full plan that she has here,
but she again is talking about mentorship and leadership development
and grant programs for that black pathways for black men
are good paying jobs whether or not they have a
college degree, relieving the burden of medical debt, also providing reliable,
(23:39):
low cost internet access for black men and their families.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Things like that can be really helpful as well.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
So you know, okay, just making sure we read all
of this ourselves and seeing what both sides, what type
of plans they both have.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
All right, well that is you're under the radar.
Speaker 9 (23:54):
You know.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
We have the Way Up mixed at the top of
the hour, and we have the stars of Zatima, also
from daval Ellis and Crystal Hazlet.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
Crystal Renee Haseley is going to be joining us.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
If you watch those shows, those Tyler Perry shows on
b ET Plus and BT, you are gonna love this interview.
Speaker 3 (24:09):

Speaker 14 (24:21):

Speaker 3 (24:26):
And yes, ma'am, what lipstick is that? It's fat? Oh
my gosh, stopping girl.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
This is my Valentino Spike Valentino buttery Matt lip color.
I know you like the packaging because you are very fancy.
So this has a full study gold aluminum packaging.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
I love some gold.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
You bought me a gold toothbrush. I do to go
with everything gold in my house. But it's lasts for
ten hours. Yeah, gold is my thing. All right, This
lasts for ten hours. So I've had this one since
this morning. And you see it's still really pretty all right, Well,
let's get into some eat and thank you.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
I'm fat.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Joe has admitted to using ozembic for his two hundred
pounds weight loss. He told Us Weekly ozempic sage says,
you may only have two pieces of your favorite stuff,
and he had to get rid of carbs. Because of that,
he cut down on eating bread, pasta, and rice, and
he said he also chop off the corners of his
toast for balance and moderation. I didn't know the corners
(25:19):
of the toast is like, is it like a more
area you're not supposed to use?
Speaker 3 (25:25):
I don't know. I didn't know that, all right, I
don't know. I always pull off my hands, you do just.
Speaker 10 (25:31):
Because at all?
Speaker 3 (25:35):
No, I got a guess too. He done went too
fall a mado.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
All right, And Susy has shared that he is now
a licensed ordained minister. So congratulations, wyeow. Yeah, so that's
what he's been going ahead, get married.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
Yeah he was dead. We saw him today.
Speaker 10 (25:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Yeah, you just said you wanted to Yeah, yeah, I'm
going I'm going for it. Yeah, I would to see that.
Speaker 10 (26:00):
Can you imagine out here spreading the good gospel?
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah? You marrying people. That would be.
Speaker 10 (26:05):
Amazing man wife and wife and wife.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Okay, sir, that's not let's move on.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Meghan the Stallion has formally announced her upcoming documentary Knew This,
We knew this was happening. Megan thee Stallion in her words,
it's going to be a multi episode series that'll be
on Amazon Prime Video on Halloween and it's also coming
in conjunction with Hattieween, which is a fundraising event for
people who are in need. So it'll be interesting to
hear her talk about what she's been going through, what
(26:37):
she has going on.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Yeah and yes in her own words, So she got
a story, man, she all right?
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Doctor Dre and Snoop Dogg have now launched the Still
Gin all right and so it's an ultra premium gin
that's now available for purchase nationwide. It's their second product
release and it's all from an award winning beverage brand
that they co founded together. This is their first entry
into the pure premium spirit space, following the success of
their first release, which was a canned cocktail called Gin
(27:06):
and Juice by Drains. And I do want to point
out that they are going to be at the wine
and Food Festival here in New York.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
So they're going to help kick things off.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
And I'm actually doing the New York City Wine and
Food Festival event that's happening on Sunday. Yeah, this Sunday
coming up, and so it's going to be Freeway Run
is going to be there, Kay Capri, I'll be there
with Chef J. J. Johnson, who was creating the whole thing.
Such a good time when you come out, everything is food, drinks,
curre rated twenty five different black chefs from all over
(27:37):
who Chef JJ Ham picked.
Speaker 10 (27:39):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to pop out.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
We would love for you to pop out.
Speaker 10 (27:41):
I'm gonna have to pop out for Shadow.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
You would love it. And it's in Brooklyn for the
first time.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
It's normally in the city, but this year they're doing
it in Brooklyn, so we got to represent for our borrow.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
All right.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Tia Maury on her show My Next Act, she's talking
about creating something out of the ring that she had
her wedding ring for her children in and she hasn't
worn that ring for almost two years.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Here's what she had to say.
Speaker 15 (28:04):
It's been two years, and what I want to do
is to take my wedding ring and turn it into
some nice pieces, jewelry pieces for my two kids.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Would that be a you know, give me my wedding ring.
But no, you don't get away. They were married for
a long time. There, that's my god.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Yeah, so rude. They were married for fourteen years.
Speaker 7 (28:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (28:30):
But if I got married, you turned you melted the
ring down or you turned it into something else.
Speaker 10 (28:34):
I wouldn't want that.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
But for both of your kids, for them to have
them understandable, that's a good idea. I think that that
is I understand though.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
It's like, man, this represents something, but now it represents
something else.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
All right, Well that is your ut.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
When we come back, ask ye eight hundred two nine
two fifty fifty any question you have, We're here to
help you out. The whole trio is going to be
here and yeah, yes, call us up.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
Okay, everybody e sis, whether it's relationship or Korea advice,
Angela's dropping facts. You should know. This is ask what's up?
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Is way up?
Speaker 2 (29:13):
At Angela? Yee, I'm here with my girl, Cella. That's right,
hey girl, And the award winning advice givel winning may
know and look at the word is plaque is right
here in the studio.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
All right, we got Toyo on the line. What's up, Toya?
Speaker 14 (29:25):
How you doing? Angela?
Speaker 3 (29:26):
How good? How are you?
Speaker 4 (29:28):
I'm doing good?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
You have a question for us? For ask?
Speaker 13 (29:31):
Ye?
Speaker 8 (29:32):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 14 (29:33):
I'm just trying to figure out how to navigate a
long distance relationship because I'm in one right now, and
not that we have tremorial, but it's starting to get there.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
So what's the tell me, like, what are the struggles
and give me some more details.
Speaker 14 (29:48):
The struggles are just I guess time. He wants to
be on the phone a lot more than I do
because I'm pretty busy during the day, and plus he's
in LA three hours behind. My day's a REI beef guarded.
So there's a lot of times where he wants to
talk on the phone and I just don't have the
time to. So now it's starting to cross some friction
in our relationship.
Speaker 10 (30:08):
When do y'all see each other?
Speaker 14 (30:10):
Well, he either comes to New York once a month
to come see me, or I'll fly out to LA.
Speaker 10 (30:17):
You need a little bit more.
Speaker 11 (30:18):
You need a little bit more than that, though, right, Yeah,
So listen, listen my advice, get you a little something
on the.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Side for sure.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Yeah, I mean, it ain't gonna work anywhere I want
to say. Let me say something without these two. When
you're in a long distance relationship, it does require a
lot of extra phone time, so you do have to
prioritize at times making sure that you guys can talk.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
And the time difference isn't easy.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
So it's just a matter of aligning what is the
best time for us to talk and maybe every day
you said a time like, look, I have between here
and here, And of course you can spontaneously hit each
other up, but maybe you guys have to just get
more aligned on how often you can talk. You see
each other once a month, how often do you go there.
Speaker 14 (31:02):
I'm not gonna lie. He definitely comes to see me
more than I go see him.
Speaker 10 (31:07):
She needs something to do.
Speaker 11 (31:08):
Listen, send Oh my god, send me, send me a.
Speaker 10 (31:12):
Little light DM. I could point you in the right direction. No,
I can help you out.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Okay, relationship, but I'm not trying.
Speaker 14 (31:19):
To end the relationship. We're trying to figure out what
to do.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
Right has it been going on?
Speaker 14 (31:25):
It's been nine months now.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
So it feels like he's also more into you than
you are into him. To get you think that's true.
Speaker 14 (31:34):
I don't think it's true.
Speaker 8 (31:35):
I just think I honestly just don't have the time.
But yeah, I'm busy and if it doesn't work out,
it won't work out.
Speaker 11 (31:43):
But it won't, so just have fun, get on the side,
send me, send me a lightlott DM.
Speaker 10 (31:50):
I could point you in the right direction.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
God, But maybe what it is is maybe you guys
don't need to be in a committed relationship right now.
Speaker 14 (31:57):
Yeah, honestly, maybe that's I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
So maybe you guys date and agree to have a
relationship where you can see other people and then if
things change they don't. It's only been nine months, and
it feels like it's difficult. Like you said, you have
a lot of work going on. He's requiring more than
you can really give him right now, and so it's
not fair to either one of you.
Speaker 9 (32:18):
He was he would be on her heels, but he
gotta found something to do too, because that's why he
nagging her to do this.
Speaker 12 (32:26):
Man.
Speaker 14 (32:27):
I mean, I'm like, I'm here laughing, like, oh my god.
Speaker 10 (32:30):
Yes, got much to do.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
That's why outside she working and she be tired.
Speaker 8 (32:37):
It's not your fault, but the fact that he can't
understand it yet is just that's what's the issue is
like I'm not I can't believe you're not understanding.
Speaker 14 (32:44):
Like I already had my day and.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
You, Yeah, you need somebody that's more empathetic to.
Speaker 10 (32:51):
Somebody more understanding sending that. Damn right, I don't know
what to do.
Speaker 8 (32:58):
Got you help you out, Appreciate you guys, and advice.
Speaker 14 (33:03):
All right, so you're gonna consider it.
Speaker 10 (33:06):
Yes, sure we'll talk later.
Speaker 13 (33:11):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 8 (33:12):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
Have a good day.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Thank you Tooya. All right, Well that was asked you.
That was a train wreck eight hundred two. You could
leave a message if you would want some more of
this advice. And well we come back. We have from
Zatima and also from sisters. We have Zach and Fatima,
A k A. Davao Ellis and Crystial Hayeslick joining us.
Speaker 9 (33:36):
It's way up, everybody, listen, ye.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
What you all been waiting for.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
You tapped in the way up with Angela.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Ye, what's up? Its way up with Angela yee.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
And I'm really excited today because I have two people
from a show that I watched faithfully, Well, two shows
that I watched faithfully, Sisters and Zatima.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
We had Zavo.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Ellis here, Yes, and we have Crystal Renee. Thank y'all
for joining us, and thank you Crystal for the wine
as a celebration.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
So tears to you. You're so welcome. This is a
collective that you didn't even know what I did.
Speaker 10 (34:12):
I did know, I did, I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Now I don't know if the team should be drinking
because you are pregnant on the show, Crystaline. Back when
you guys are doing Sisters that you had no idea
this was going to turn into a spin off.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
No, we did not. Did y'all pitch it?
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Or was it something that they came to you and said,
people love you guys on here.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
That's what it was.
Speaker 16 (34:34):
It was the fans, honestly, they from day one. They
were like, oh my god, we love them together.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
And then I.
Speaker 16 (34:40):
Remember we were sitting on the set of Sisters in
Fatima's bedroom, Deval and I going over lines for the
next scene.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Tyler comes in and he looks at us both He goes,
I like I like this, and we just looked at
each other. Like, we just love it.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
That's that's Tyler's genius because that was season two, before
the relationship had went public. Tyler saw us working and
the last couple of days were for Teama's apartment, so
he has saw us working those two weeks and he
was just.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
Like, I like this.
Speaker 10 (35:07):
So Tyler saw it before the fans did.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Right now, I'm talking to Davao Ellis and Crystal Haslet.
They are the stars of Zatima as well as sisters.
What I love about Zatima so far this season is
it does bring up a lot of like real life
things that we have to think about and be concerned about. Zach,
your mother call you, Zach, devous character, Zach, Yes, your
mom passes away and now there's a funeral to deal with.
(35:29):
But there's also like a state planning and what's going
to happen, you know, with money and who's going to
be in charge of this? And that is something that
I feel like we all have to think about. I've
been thinking about it too, making sure that you're planning
for things like that, you know, And I think that's
a great conversation to be had for people in general.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Absolutely, it's so funny.
Speaker 16 (35:47):
You say that because once I got like a certain age,
my dad called me. He was like, hey, do you
have life insurance? And I was like why because I
didn't want to think about death right, you know, but then
you don't think about everything that you're leaving on your family.
When when you do that, and now as we're gaining
assets and success and money, it's like, okay, we do
need to know what we're going to do with this,
(36:07):
So talking to lawyers, having those conversations, or just even
getting a life insurance policy. It's so important that a
lot of people leave their families in really bad situations
when they don't be responsible while they're still here.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
It's already hard enough, and now I gotta deal with
putting together these finances, figuring out who's getting what. Yeah,
you have four kids, so I know I'm sure for
you guys, you've already you and Kadean have already said okay,
we got to get this absolutely.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
I mean planning in the NFL first, I learned a
lot about, you know, finances and estate planning, but setting
it up for the kids five to twenty nine plans, iras,
that was all something I had set up since the
NFL and when it came to our parents, though I didn't,
and it wasn't ntil we started talking and Tyler was
telling us like, you know, when you get to a
certain age, your parents often become your kids.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
And now I'm speaking to my parents about him. As
a matter of fact, that two years ago I came
to speak to you, we did an interview. My dad
had just went to the hospital found out that he
was pre diabetic and his eight one C was so high.
And at that moment I panicked because I said, if
my dad were to pass away today, I have no
idea what's supposed to happen to my mom, my brother,
(37:13):
my sister. So at that point I was like, no,
let's all sit down. I sit down with my mom,
I went over her retirement package. I went sat down
with my dad. And now we're doing the same thing
with Caye's parents as well.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
All right, Ellis is here.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
He plays Zach on Sisters and on Zatima, and we
also have Crystal Hayeslet here, she plays Fatima on Sisters
and on Zatima.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
We got more with them. When we come back. It's
way up and be we're about.
Speaker 4 (37:37):
To do this.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
One of Loulos to tame this women in Radio Adio,
we're talking.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
About Angela Ye. You're way up with Angela Yee. Please
believe that what's.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Up his way up at Angela Yee And welcome to
the show, Devout Ellis and Crystal Hayslet stars of Zatima
and Sisters. Now, I want to talk about another topic
from the show right now. One of the things that's
happening is Zach's X. It's trying really hard to she
I mean Fatima's friends. So what are your thoughts about
something like that? Can you be friends with your man's ex?
Speaker 10 (38:08):
Okay?
Speaker 16 (38:09):
Oh ya, I can't say never, but I feel like
the person shouldn't try to force it. And I feel
like Connie is trying to force a friendship, like if
it happens naturally and I kind of gravitated me. Okay,
she actually is cool, and I have a good relationship
with my man and trust him and know that there's
nothing else going on, then I can see that possibly happening.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
Has that ever happened to you in real life? No?
Speaker 10 (38:28):
No, she said no. I hate all of them.
Speaker 16 (38:33):
Because because I can say that I'm still like cool
with guys that I've dated, Like I don't hate some people,
you know, I don't hate anybody, but like there's some
people you weren't good for me, But like we can
still be cool.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
You know, you can still kiss my ass and watch
me on TV.
Speaker 5 (38:46):
You know.
Speaker 10 (38:46):
But Connie's not really zack X. Though, Connie's not really
sax X.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
That's what Tyler said.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
They had a trauma bond. They had a trauma bond. Remember,
Zach used to get abused, so when he used to hide,
he used to go hide Connie's and he's that family.
Zach didn't know how that woman think about Zach though,
Does he know how to be with the woman other
than sex?
Speaker 4 (39:11):
No?
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Okay, So when you're trying to show a woman love
and you don't know any other way, that's what you do.
But the minute he realized that that's not what him
and Connie had, he hasn't even tried to be with
Connie since. Right they weren't really in like romantic relationship.
They were friends and they used to have sex because
they was teenagers.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
Right now, I'm talking to davao Ellis and Crystal Hayslet.
They are the stars of Zatima as well as sisters.
I wonder if it could work the reverse, because do
we tell who we're dating everybody we've been within? So
I think so no one's ever asked me yea either
because you dating nobody in so long.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
That's why I'm gonna be honest, Like I can't even
exactly perspective.
Speaker 10 (39:51):
I give him my thoughts because.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
I can't imagine you dated some maybe said who else
have you been with? Like, you know, guys don't even
really want I feel like guys don't even really want
to know that. Yeah, they know that, I really want
to know that unless it's something that's relevant, like I'm
gonna run into y'all, like into them, and I'm with you,
and then I think it's important enough. That's definitely everybody,
even somebody you might never ever want to know.
Speaker 10 (40:11):
Why this is my thing?
Speaker 1 (40:12):
With people in relationships, right, women often say sex isn't
that important, It's not that big of a deal. Why
do men make it a big deal? It fitting that
big of a deal. Why do you get upset if
we have sex.
Speaker 13 (40:22):
With someone else?
Speaker 10 (40:23):
