Wait, not only are you in a Levi's campaign with NAS,
you also have your list about to come out. I
saw you wrote it's time and I see people weighing
in on the best Rapper list of twenty twenty five.
But you know, no matter what, all of the flact
that you get, all of the arguments every single year,
you still go ahead and push through all the threats.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
That you've had to deal with. I see people shouting out, gee.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Herbal, Yeah, Herbal had a great year too.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
For the list, you already kind of gave us the
spoiler of who's your.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Number one slots, but.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
There's none other slots.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Behind the scenes, we already had some arguments, and your
arguments right or wrong, you stand ten toes down and
whatever it is that you have to say.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Mind you, this is all opinion based, Yes it is.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
And the fact that you don't have any women on
the list is also really wow. But it's on brand
for you. But anyway, we shine a light on you
though we're looking forward. When is the list coming out?
Even like in the next half hour.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Oh yeah, so it's going to be happening here. Yeah man, Wow, security,
please help walk me out.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
I don't want anything hit in me. That's meant for biadad,
no punches, nothing all right now, Brad.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Who do you want to shine a light on?
Speaker 8 (02:58):
Wow?
Speaker 9 (02:58):
I would like to show the light or my beautiful
wife because she has been my motivation for everything my
entire life. I am not the same man that I
was when I met her. You will be married for
twenty years next year.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Oh my gosh, that's huge.
Speaker 9 (03:15):
Relation lost all kinds of things that I love remye strong,
and she brings me to tears, and I think about
how much.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I love this forema, oh my god, see how beautiful
that is. Twenty years and the thought of how much
you love her brings you to tears? What's her name?
Speaker 9 (03:31):
And way us Felicia, Well.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Congratulations and cheers to your success.
Speaker 9 (03:36):
All if you have a glass day, Thank you so much.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Of course that was Shina Light eight hundred and two
ninet two fifty one fifteen. In case you couldn't get through,
you could always leave a message in China Light that way.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
And when we come back, we have your yeete.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
And let's talk about updates with Kamara Lee Simmons versus
Russell Simmons, but also rbri O Day and why she's
not on this Dannity Kane reunion tour. All right, this way,
they say in the rooms from industry shade to all
the gods out, Angela's speeling that EyeT.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
All right, it's way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here
with be out good.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Jeffy's cold outside, Yeah, we need some hot yet, all right, well,
Kimora Lee recently was talking about her relationships with her
exes and she said she does not maintain relationships with
her children's fathers and says, guys are weird. Now, one
person publicly took offense to that, and that was Russell Simmons.
He posted, I gave you fifty thousand dollars a month
(04:33):
for twenty years.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Now.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
I was your best slash only friend.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
I'm the godfather to your other three kids until one
day you stole my stock. I have been fighting for
my kids, love and my bread ever since you threatened
that if I sued you, I would never speak to
my kids again. There are two sides to every story.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
Fifty thousand dollars a month for twenty years, that's like
twelve million dollars. Man, she said, sign a max contract.
That's a lot of bread.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
Well, I mean, in fairness, that could have been like
child support, spous and support. You could have been ordered,
you know, to pay that, and in that situation.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Ain't no kidney fifty dollars a month.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
So that's only his side though, so we also don't
know the full breakdown of what that means.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
It's a fat amount, you would do it no, it's.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
A fault all right.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
Now.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
In other news, rb O Day is out of the
hospital and you know, we found out that she was
taken to the er on Wednesday. She had vertigo, fever, dizziness, migraine, chills,
and vomiting all night and it was because of watching
fifty Cents documentary she participated in that.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
She said, my loves, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
I've become extremely sick and physically can't make it tonight's show.
As I'm in the ear, I've been fighting it all day,
spinning around in my head trying to find any way
to make this work. But being sick is being sick.
It's completely out of my control. And she was supposed
to be at that Dannity Kinge reunion show in La
time to make it. Yeah, so she couldn't make it.
I feel bad for her though, because watching that documentary
(06:00):
and there was a part where she was learning she
had to read aloud for the first time what somebody
witnessed from her when she was kind of out of it,
and it says she looked like she was inebriated and
what was happening.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
But that's crazy. Side effects from Diddy doc may involve dizziness.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Fur togo listen. I couldn't even imagine being in her
position now. Doma Shard also has spoken out about this
Danny de Kine reunion and she said, even without being
told about the reunion, I will always be a yes
to Danny by Kaine.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
This chapter lives in me forever.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
I always choose to perform these records out of love
for the music, the memories, and the legacy we built together.
So here is a little something for the DK fans.
I love you always, and then sent her in the
group text they did not invite her, damn, so I
don't listen. Behind the scenes, a whole lot of issues
and a whole lot of pain. A writer and Yandy
Smith has spoken out about basically how she and we
(06:54):
were talking about this behind the scenes, how important it
is when you have a platform to make sure you
do what you can. Here's what she told as Cash
about how she monetizes herself.
Speaker 10 (07:03):
I understood the numbers we get, like four million people
that watch us weekly, and I felt like this is
a commercial. I have a live commercial every single Monday
for me to sell something.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Once my first.
Speaker 10 (07:13):
Season one was over, I said, wait, people, they care
about the accessory line a little bit, but what they
really care about is the Yandy brand. So I said,
all right, Yandy, you gotta you gotta get it together.
Now you got to become a brand yourself.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Inside the vaults with ash Cash. All right, well that
is your yee tee. When we come back about last night,
the Power Sessions concert was over the weekend. I know
you've been working on this list that's coming out shortly,
so we shall discuss its way up what night?
Speaker 1 (07:41):
So about last night, yes, I went down.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
I know that's right, it's way up.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
But angela, yea, it's me and be that good ye
And shout out to everybody who was at Power Sessions
over the weekend and I saw I know a lot
of people saw the clips online. Lola brook She's amazing. Yeah,
she's just she's a beautiful person.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
It's not the Brooklyn bias, is it.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
No, she is.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
I really like her and I think she's super talented
and she's just a nice person. But also shout out
to zeeddi Will who performed Cash Cobain Mariot a scientist.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Also who else did I miss?
Speaker 8 (08:20):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Gee herbo I had a chance to chop it up
with him at Mickey Halstead and you know, when Mickey
was here, I got him to sit down and answer
a couple questions.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I said, we'll go more and death next time.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah, he has that career himself.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yeah, definitely does.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
And Angie Martine, I actually brought out Mariota Scientist with
Laura le Rossa and Anthony Martinez. I saw that no
sounding like a group for the ladies. You know, now,
what about you?
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Nothing?
Speaker 5 (08:44):
I was watching you on Instagram hosting power sessions.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Okay, so that happened. Number one, Number two Donell Rawlings.
That's my guy. He came over and he spent the
weekend at my house.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
He had a show in Brooklyn and he actually ended
up cooking for all of us on Sunday, him and
my guy Robinson. It was like a cookoff and so
we had a good time. We have plenty of food.
And when I tell you, everybody was popping up. If
you've seen it on social media, people was hitting me
up like I'm about to come through.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
You didn't say it.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
You would rather come in today and say why wasn't
I invited?
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Day?
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Did you get the invite?
Speaker 1 (09:17):
No?
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Oh you did? No, you didn't get the invite, Navy,
did you get that invite?
Speaker 3 (09:20):
He wasn't.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
Nobody got the invite Angel.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
You know why because it was impromptu. He started cooking
and then everybody was like, I'm coming through.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
You could have shot me a text effects email something.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
I want to wait till your list comes out of
the Top Rappers in twenty twenty five, to see where
everybody stands before I start letting you come. Anybody waiting
outside for you with a bag. But yeah, so that
was nice and it was beautiful just to have like
everybody come together when I now started. He got up
at nine in the morning, went to the supermarket, bought
(09:52):
all this food and he was cooking from eleven am
until like eight o'clock at night.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
Since like Darnell Rowlands become like Emerald Lagassi, he.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Can really cook.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Wow, yeah, great, and so can my guy Robinson. He
actually used to be a chef and work in a
kitchen and he owns a liquor store. So we had
everything all right.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
But in the.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Meantime, tell us a secret. Tell us eight.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty call us up.
Maybe there's something that you want to tell us. Maybe
you had a cooking mishap and didn't tell anybody. Maybe
you pretended to cook for people for the holidays, but
really order some takeout.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Angela, dinner's a secret apparently.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Oh yeah, maybe you had dinners and secretly didn't invite
people that you knew you were going to see.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
The next day.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Eight hundred two fifty one fifty. We don't care. We're
not gonna judge you. So you're anonymous.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us
up any secret you have, We are here to help
you out. It's way up.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
This is a judgment.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
Freeze alle tell us a secret.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
But Angela, yee, I'm here. Beat outs here, good job,
beat us right, and it's time for tell us a secret.
This is where we don't judge you, well, maybe a
little bit.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
No no judgment.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
You're anonymous, and even we do judge you, it's not
like we can you eight hundred two ninety fifty fifty
animous color.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
What's your secret?
Speaker 8 (11:04):
So my secrets?
Speaker 11 (11:06):
I'm going to be secretly leaving my man because he
is very toxic for me and my daughter's life. So
I'm going to work out watch at work, and I
got it on a lane. Wow, and when he comes
home from work all the stuff.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Born is this today?
Speaker 11 (11:23):
No, it's coming soon. Listen, great, happy here.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
It has to make you feel like I could deal
with this because I know I got my exit plan.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
Exactly where are you going to move?
Speaker 12 (11:34):
Like?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Out of state?
Speaker 11 (11:35):
No, in the same city actually just out of his house.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
And he can't do it. She don't want to get
into an argument. She don't want him doing nothing crazy.
So he's gonna come home.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
I'm gone.
Speaker 11 (11:45):
It's always sorry, blah blah blah.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
Are you gonna leave him a dear John letter?
Speaker 12 (11:50):
No?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Is there something that you feel like unsafe?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Or is it just that I don't want to deal
with his toxicity and him trying to convince me to stay.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Fa Yeah, I say it's not okay good.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
I'm just glad.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
I'm glad to hear that, because I would be devastated
if he were to find out in the same city
where you are and you felt like you were in
harm's way. But you just don't feel like dealing with
him anymore. So I'm glad you.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
I'm glad you made a move, because nobody wants to
hear somebody complaining all the time about they're no good
toxic man, and they still staying how does.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Your kids feel about it?
Speaker 8 (12:21):
It's kind of like got to fit it on her.
She doesn't know me.
Speaker 11 (12:24):
I'm not gonna tell her you to really fulfill myself.
Speaker 8 (12:28):
For the question. She fell out right in the wrong one.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
It'll it'll be better for all life and she'll still
get to spend time with him, and just you know,
it's not good to raise kids in a relationship that's
toxic because then they look at relationships a certain way
when they get older.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Do you guys have joint accounts or anything like that?
Speaker 7 (12:45):
Or did not?
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Smart lady in my name?
Speaker 11 (12:48):
So yeah, he'll down.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Yeah, nobody have a candle for Christmas?
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Shut it down, baby, all right? What they thank you
for calling in? Good luck?
Speaker 5 (13:04):
That's crazy?
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Now when Netflix for.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
You, my boy, Netflix, well thank you so much for
calling us up. Eight hundred and two ninety two fifty
one fifty. Anybody else who wants to anonymously leave a secret,
we can take your calls and play it during Last
Word and when we come back, we have your yee
tea and let's talk about den of King's Kirk Franklin Show,
t I Dot Queeze, Jamaine dupri and Eric Bellinger on
(13:27):
the latest episode, and we'll give you some of those highlights.
It's way up shore.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
She's about to blow the lead ab off this, but
let's get it. Angela's feeling that.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Ye tea, come and get the tea.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
All right, it's way up at Angela. Ye, I'm here
with beat Dot Good job be Angela. I know where
else would you be? Yes? And first I want to
also get my condolences to Robin Michelle Reiner. That was
a wild situation. They were found in their home with
their throats slit whoa. And now TMZ is reporting that
(13:57):
there was an argument that they had with their son
Nick and apparently they were over their wits end over
his mental illness that you know, their son Nick and
his alleged substance abuse issues. They didn't know what to
do about their son and they said, we've tried everything,
according to TMZ, and so their son Nick was arrested
Monday morning, something that nobody anticipated.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Man.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Yeah, Rob Ronner was an actor and then he started
directing and like had some huge movies.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
He was a Wolf of Wall Street.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Believe stand By me.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
And amongst other things. So our condolences. I mean, that
was something completely unexpected.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Man.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
All right, now let's get into Den of Kings.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
That is Kirk Franklin's Roundtable podcast and this last episode
he had on Eric Bellinger, t I, Jacquisee, and Jamaine Dupree,
and t I went viral talking about never feeling a
connection to church.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Here's what he said. I just ain't never really never
felt the connection with church.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Why why I don't thank you? You're real.
Speaker 13 (15:00):
I think that it's a business like anything gil, and
it's a shell like anything else, and a lot of
times they be putting a lot of cap on it.
And when I say cap, I'm saying cap in their action.
Speaker 9 (15:11):
The word did the.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Word ironically to y'all, sounds like a Baptist preacher.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
You know, church is a business, though, I mean, so
people can't act like anybody's just doing things and not.
You do have to like monetize some of the good
things that do happen in churches. I've seen people come
up with money when people have emergencies and make sure
that families are taken care of. But I also can
say you don't have to go to church to feel connected.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
Well, I mean old.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
Houses of worship are considered businesses in the sense, right,
But I mean, like, I'm a Christian too, so I
understand the importance of going to church.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
But I understand where he's coming from as well.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Yeah, you're not going to force anybody to do something.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
And listen, there's times in people's lives that they never
went to church and then they ended up starting to
go and they felt the change or the shift when.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
The spirit moves you, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
And then also I think a lot of it matters
on who is leading your church, yeah, and what they
do in real life, because there are some bad actors
and I think a lot of times that ruins it
for people.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
There are some trotans out there all right now.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Eric Bellinger had some things to say about rescuing people.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Here's what he said last year too, is when I
started to feel like I needed to save and rescue
the honies, and I think it was a valuable lesson
because shortly after I find myself just doing so much
for the other people, and it got into a situation
where I needed it and I'm calling and I'm making
them calls and it's crickets like now, I know, okay,
(16:34):
moving forward, You know, you really got to just focus
on yourself.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Don't save. You don't want to be safe.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
That's a fact though.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
People love you when they can use you, and then
when they can't use you anymore, they don't give up.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Yeah, you don't want to be captain saving homiem.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
And you could tell real people by not real people
based off of if you have to tell them now
it's not a good time.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
And if they have an issue with that and don't
mess with you anymore, then that ain't it.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
You gave me that a couple of times and swore
it did.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
All right, Well that is your Yet, when we come
back under the radar, stories that are not in the headlines,
they're flying under the radar, but you need to know
about them.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Stuff is never going away, guys, And I don't know
when we'll get the real story. But there are some
photos now that have been confirmed, and some of them
are allegedly very disturbing images of women in their conditions.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
It's a way up news.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
This in the news that relates to you.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
These stories are flying under the radar here.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
It's way up. But Angela, yeah, I'm here and my
guy Beata, go on in the room. Let's get in
the under the radar story.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
So there are some photos that have been released more
than h and by the way, these are the Jeffrey
Epstein photos. So people have gotten a chance to see
never before seen pictures of images of the actual property.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Some of the rooms that were inside. I showed you
one of them.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
I was like, what is this.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
It's like a glove with bumps. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Then there's a room with a contraption and maths masks
all over the wall, just staring at the contraption in the.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Middle of the rooms like a dentist office.
Speaker 5 (18:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
I don't know what these pictures are of, but anyway,
people are getting a chance to see more.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
They're saying that there are more than ninety five.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Thousand photos that have been collected in total, and they
confirmed that some of the unreleased images depict a lot
of people engaging in sexual acts. Whoa So they also
talked about whether men other than Epstein are shown engaging
in these acts, and they said they're not sure who
is who yet, but there are a lot of people involved.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
And so ninety five thousand pictures, there's a lot of selfies.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
Man, listen, the first batch has more than ten prominent men.
That includes Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Deve Bannon,
the former Prince Andrew and none of the photographs that
have been released so far depict any sexual misconduct or
individuals believed to be minors. But we'll see what's to
come from all of this pictures. I'm one hundred thousand
(19:03):
percent sure I'm my business all right, all right, now,
the word of the year are calling to? According to
Merriam Whipster's Dictionary, do you know what the word of
the year is for twenty twenty five? Since you like
to do lists.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Unemployment, that might be.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Slop.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Slop is the word of the year. I did not
know what Nick Seal was doing in the corner. It
was very strange.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
It looked like he was bouncing his looks like slop
over there.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
Okay, but anyway, slap was first used in the seventeen
hundreds to mean soft mud, but now it has evolved
more generally to mean something of little value and also
digital content of low quality that is produced usually in quantity,
by means of ai slop.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
I never heard anybody use it in that manner.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
So if you see some like weird videos, weird advertising images,
fake news that looks real AI written digital books, they
call that slops.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
That was good behind closed doors though, of course what nothing.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
Are there going to be some photos of you that
are emerging that we should be forewarned of, But that
is you're under the radar. I no, don't forget. We
got the way it mixed for you. At the top
of the hour plus beat Up, we got to talk
about your list. You put out your Let's do It
top of wrappers of twenty twenty five lists. Do this
every year, coming at Angela, and every year they.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Come at you.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
Also, I had a chance to talk to Cash Cobaine
at Power Sessions Lyricists, so we'll be discussing that. Listen,
you gotta stop to stop it, all right. Also, Ourmiani
is going to be joining us today. His album The
Impact came out on Friday, all right, and it definitely
has had quite an impact.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
All right, it's way up.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
This is way up with Angela.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
You are a media maven.
Speaker 9 (20:47):
You never know what Ang's gonna say.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
All right, it's way up with Angela. You never know.
I'm here with my guy beat Us.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
And you put out your list, and everybody listen up
because you're gonna have a chance to call and wait
in this top ten rappers of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Now, what were the metric the top ten best rappers
twenty twenty five?
Speaker 6 (21:07):
So according to Bed, yes, I do his annual list
where I just kind of do inventory of the game, right,
So I base it on skill music, meaning like the songs,
the feature that you did throughout the year.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
In presence, So did you have to have had an
album out this year?
Speaker 1 (21:19):
Right?
Speaker 5 (21:19):
I don't think it was a requirement, but it helps.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (21:21):
Yeah, So and like I said, presence that so it's
kind of like relevancy. So the list seems to be
having a lot of controversy so far.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
All right, so let's go through the list, all right.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
So number one, I have the Clips, at number two,
Nas three, Joey Badass four, Ji D five, La six,
Bullie James seven, Larry June two, Chains at number eight,
Ransom at nine, and number ten Lloyd Banks.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Okay, and there's a lot of conversation and you guys
can join into Dan and Nick Si.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
I have a lot of disagreements because some people.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Would say a chance the rapper had a great year
this year.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Yeah, a great I would say, yeah, he had a
great album, but.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
You didn't feel like his feature were Yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
I felt like he didn't do enough.
Speaker 6 (22:02):
You know, I'm having a great albums important, But I
think you also got to like what else did you do?
Speaker 12 (22:06):
Like?
Speaker 6 (22:06):
Did you have any good features, any great moments outside
of your own project.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
I also noticed a glaring lack of women.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
Oh my gosh, I love the women. They say I'm
a misogynous when it comes to.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
They you.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
All right, So if you had to say as far
as women who could have potentially yes.
Speaker 5 (22:26):
I did like the Cardi B album.
Speaker 6 (22:27):
I think am I the Drama is definitely one of
the best albums this year, but I don't think she
did enough outside of that.
Speaker 5 (22:33):
She did have a great feature on the Young Thug project,
but outside.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Of that, I didn't really like you wanted to see
more features. She had a lot going on.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, there was a lot.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Yeah, she had a lot going on. And but glad
she finally put the album out because people were waiting
on that.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
But I do like the Minor Leo song put it
Down of My Guilty And.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
I told you that I felt like she could have.
She had a pretty good year and she had a
baby this year too. Yeah, Samarason, I feel like she
had a good year and so maybe somebody to think
about for the next year.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Oh okay, Dan, So what were your discrepancies?
Speaker 8 (23:02):
Uh?
Speaker 12 (23:02):
Definitely missing Gunna Gunna? That's crazy. Uh, Tyler Creator needs
to be on there. Ge Herbo needs to be on there,
and Soave a lot of people don't know about him.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
He's dope.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Do you hear about the groundbreaking year?
Speaker 1 (23:14):
You had a good year?
Speaker 9 (23:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (23:15):
I mean the records the whole time, So yeah, shout
to g Herbo. It's like when you say those people
only put ten. So it's like, who do you replace?
Speaker 12 (23:21):
Right, I'm taking out Lloyd Bank's Ransom two trains and
Bodie James no hate.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
He's got half to live.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
I'm swapping out four, swapping out for okay, all.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Right, I'm trying to think, well, you know me. The
first thing I noticed was like, where the ladies at
late listen?
Speaker 6 (23:38):
I advocate for the lads. Like last year I had
Glilla on right and people said, oh, that wasn't enough.
You need a better But I'm like, yo, I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
And her came out last year. Came out last year,
so she wouldn't be count all right, all right, got it?
What about you, Nick Cille?
Speaker 1 (23:51):
What do you think when you think?
Speaker 3 (23:52):
And I want to let me read some people's comments,
see while.
Speaker 9 (23:54):
You do that.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
All right? So yeah, ghnna not being this. This is crazy,
all set this, this is kind of crazy. And album
had Yeah, he had two albums, so yeah, but the
was really good. Right.
Speaker 14 (24:05):
Uh, I'm gonna stand on New York cash cow Ban
deserves me on the list, Cash Bang, Cash Bang.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Freddy Gibbs not on the list.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Freddy Gibbs had a really good album too, and he
had a good guest verse uh. And he had a
solo song that he put out at the top of
the year, but again just not enough. It came down
to him at like a number ten seed and I
made an executive decision.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
What about a west Side Gun or a comrade the
Machine or you know what?
Speaker 6 (24:28):
I love west Side Gun And I'm pretty sure he's
gonna get at me for this, but as he always does.
But I feel like west Side Gun projects are great
for other people, not necessarily him. You know, like you
come for west Side and you stay for the other
guys like Stove God Cooks or Brother Toime. You know,
he probably don't know those guys, but they're featured on
his projects heavily.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Also is way Too Low. Yeah, man, too Low.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Ja's album is really very consistent.
Speaker 6 (24:52):
Yeah, it's been consistent and he's been kid like the
feature he had bodies. Yeah, that was crazy.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
I was happy to see Joey badass, bad ass.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
He took on the whole coast. Yes, he tells us
on and his album's great.
Speaker 14 (25:03):
Oh, Tia Corinn not on his list, okay, Tia Corinn
as to my ladies, he does in the list, okay, And.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
I guess I box I would.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
I would argue that Wallet has a great album, but
I can see why maybe you didn't feel like he
did enough.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Yeah, Wilet's had a great album and also throughout the
year he put out a lot of loose records.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Well, we want to see what you guys think. Eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. You can look
up beat out the list and he just read it
off to you. But when we come back, we want
to get your opinion on the top ten best rappers
of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Who did beat out missing who should he take off
the list? Or do you agree with it?
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Let's do it?
Speaker 3 (25:36):
When does that happen? Eight hundred two nine to fifty
one fifty call us up?
Speaker 5 (25:40):
Ye with Angela? He is back to set off your
workday the music.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Who it's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with
beat On.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Good job be that in here?
Speaker 9 (25:49):
I know.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
Listen, you put out your list of top ten best
rappers of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Ye?
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Yes, and quickly, what's the list?
Speaker 5 (25:56):
We have Clips at.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
Number one, We have Nas at number two. We have
Joey Badass at number three. We have j I d
At four, l A five six, Folly James out of Detroit, seven,
Larry June eight, two Chains, nine, Ransom and ten Lloyd Banks.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Okay, this is New York heavy, is it?
Speaker 5 (26:14):
I feel it's a pretty diverse.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Okay, all right?
Speaker 4 (26:18):
Well, anyway, people in the room were weighing in on
who they thought should have been on the list. We
just got a key block nomination in the room as well.
But we want to hear what you guys think. Eight
hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty, Hey, Rich,
how are you doing?
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Rich, I'm ready you sound mad already. Let's hear your
opinion on be that's top ten best of I'm.
Speaker 8 (26:38):
Not man, I respect it, lit, I respect this.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I can't complain.
Speaker 8 (26:41):
I just you know, don't understand how young Boy.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Ain't on that list.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
You are so right.
Speaker 8 (26:49):
We've been doing he's been doing this, man, you got
to give him that.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. Young Boy should have been
high up on that list.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
Listen, young boys hot. I can't deny that. But we're
not talking about popularity. You talk about skills and his
songs and his features and of course his presidence.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
He has some amazing songs, though boy features and that
tour that sold out.
Speaker 6 (27:10):
Now, listen, young boy deserves, you know, the recognition for
the work that he put in twenty twenty five. But
I can't point to like a gang of young Boy
moments where I'm like, yo, this guy was killing it,
Like yo, did you hear that? Disagree and listen, I
love young Boy. I actually went to his house. I
did an interview in Utah with him two years ago.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
So you can forget it now about coming back, all right,
thank you for calling.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Appreciate you rich y'all have a good one man kk.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Ok beat out the list of top ten rappers of
twenty twenty five. Who do you think should have been
on the list that wasn't?
Speaker 13 (27:45):
Well, I'm glad they put g Herbal on there, but
I don't understand how he missed Hendrick.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Well number one, He didn't put g Herbal on the list.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
No, somebody thanked Man had it. Therefore that was then okay?
Speaker 3 (27:58):
And Ken Drick, Yeah, you know, Ken Drake should have
been on there.
Speaker 5 (28:01):
He did the super Bowl, Yeah, but that was last.
Kendrick didn't put out an album this year.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
He had two guest features on on the Clips album
and then he had the one on Playboy Cardies project.
Speaker 5 (28:11):
So he really wasn't that active this year twenty twenty five?
What about him?
Speaker 3 (28:16):
I said that too?
Speaker 5 (28:17):
Well?
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Stop it?
Speaker 6 (28:18):
Are you a sexy red fans?
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Most definitely?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
All right, thank you for calling. All right, he's gonna
argue for Drake.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
But Drake, I mean, I really wasn't a fan of
his project, but it was more.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
So for R and B.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Isaac.
Speaker 8 (28:33):
What's up, Angela?
Speaker 3 (28:34):
What's happening?
Speaker 8 (28:35):
What a terrible beat out?
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Here we go?
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Let me have it?
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Isaac? What's your thoughts? Hey?
Speaker 8 (28:40):
Yo, beat out. He's so mad, not mad at your list,
but I would take out Lord Banks and add yk
lease if you talked about the criteria that you presented
on your list. As far as features and presents, there's
nobody who has had a strong presence how she has
think about the wayn Wendy. So her phrases from that
(29:01):
song alone has influence. Take me through that like she
created that whole phrase.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
Okay, I mean, I respect your argument, but I don't
think a catch phrase is enough to say she's one
of the best rappers of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
But I respect where you're coming from, but that's not that's.
Speaker 8 (29:17):
Not your argument through. Your argument is based on skill, features,
and presence. So I'm giving you everything that she delivered
on based on your series, right.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
I think you want to see more content, of course,
but also the skill also has to step a rap
game up. Man, I can't point to three yk Niece
records where I'm like, Yo, she killed that UK A
whole generation can.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
But this is his list. That's why.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
All right, Well, yk Niece, let's get on. Let's get
on that list in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Let's make it happen.
Speaker 8 (29:47):
She should be there now.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
All right, listen, we love the argument for her. Okay,
we appreciate it. Thank you for calling. Appreciate your take
me through there. All right, Well listen, when we come back,
our money is to be joining us.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
His album, The Impact, debut at number one in Jamaica
and the US Reggae iTunes within twenty four hours, so
that's a big deal.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
So shout out to him. And right now, let's hear
two people who could have made the list this year,
but you were being funny. You're too hard, Gunn and
little Baby. It's way up and.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Bag about to do this one of lemos to famous
women in radio audio.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
We're talking about Angela Ye. You're way up with angela ye.
Please believe that what's up?
Speaker 3 (30:27):
His way up with Angela yee, and I mean way up.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
DJ Nextal nixt Year is joining us today and our
Moani and you really got it popping right now. So
before we even get started, we've been watching everything that's
been happening in Jamaica with Hurricane Melissa and the after
effects of that. One thing that I noticed that was
amazing is how much people have been coming together. Nick
Sale is hosting an actual eventage.
Speaker 14 (30:48):
The benefit concer going on in sixteenth December. Law job
King yell a mount and a set red Fox speech.
You done, Johnny Osborne.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
And I want to say I saw your video for Champion,
and you start off the album a Champion.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
Yeah, and that is a love letter to Jamaica. But
one thing you did. You had a budget for the video.
But instead of using that, I just want you to
break down the whole series of events that happened when
you were filming that video.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
We got a budget for the videos, like, I'll just
use the budget to help rebuild because the house is
there's really no houses in the Western End, like ninety percent,
no rules and stuff, So I feel like I don't
feel better and know that somebody has a house, like
they could go back and restart and start fresh again.
So I just used the budget. We got all the materials.
(31:32):
She asked what she needed, She told us, we got
it all. Went down there. It was like a three
hour drive found her. She was so grateful.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
I thought that was such a dope video, like to
be able to see that.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
The thing is, though, Jamaica is loved, So I feel
like we're going to be back in no time.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Right now, Nick Stale and I are talking to our mine.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
His album The Impact is out all right, Now, let's
get into some of your background in your life.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Now our money's even sitting here.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
Today as what people are saying is one of like
the next generation up there. I saw you at the
Caribbean Music Awards, which I know is an amazing experience.
But you grew up in Jamaica. Yeah right, and what
did you think your life was going to be like?
You didn't think you were going to be an artist.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
It was always in the back of my mind. But
you know, the default setting is like a pilot police soldiers,
you know, growing up in the Caribbean, and that's what
the parents expect for us, you know. So being an
artist wasn't really on the top of the list until
I got my first job. I was like, no, I
can't do this. What was that Golden Crush?
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Ooh, so I got to Golden Crust. We appreciate you
because I love Golden Crust.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
I love gold fuy.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Okay, So Golden Crust was the first job, and so
you were like, this is not for me.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Nah. So what I actually did I worked and then
I used to pay to pay for my first music video,
I just started. I had only an iPhone six and
a wire band lab recorded. Took me two months to
mix each song, but I was like, I'm gonna that's determination.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Another thing that we were talking about earlier is you
have a lot of different influences when it comes to
your music because you can sing clearly with the Fiesta song.
Speaker 14 (33:01):
Yeah, you know that was an influence, and I know
you were like, how did that even come about? Because
it's originally all Kelly beat.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Now it's the You know what's funny about the beat.
The beat was sent to me. It's called Fiesta, but
the Fiesta that I knew was the elephant man Fiesta.
I ain't know. So when I came up with a
hook and the hook, you is saying Fiesta, I was
referring to the beat's name. So when everybody was telling
me you say kas, I'm like.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
No, sample, that's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
So when I when I went I was like, wow,
I really yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
You might have second guessed it too.
Speaker 4 (33:31):
If you would have known that, you might have been like, oh,
because some people would have thought it was controversial, and
so maybe it's better you didn't know.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
It's music for me, I don't going to controversy length
all right.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Our money is here and he's got his album, The
Impact is out on United Masters and making a lot
of ways.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Nick Sale and I are here. We got more with
our money when we come back. It's way up, way
up with Angela ye more. Now what's up his way up?
But Angela yee. I'm here with Nick Seale.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
You know, he's on the show every single day, but
this time he's stepping up to do an interview with
Our Money with me. His album The Impact is out
right now, now you also are a father. Now, how
has that changed things for you?
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Motivation is any motivisions for me? I have to be
a role model, you know, And he called me down
and made me mature in ways that I was a
loose cannon and then still got maturing to do. I'm young,
but because even so, I never I know how to
this is new to me because no pity party, but
I never really know how to be a dad. I
never had no dad. So he's like, I'm still learning
and stuff. So it was it's a little feeling, you know,
(34:32):
I love my papa.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Do you know your father? Have you ever met him?
Speaker 10 (34:35):
Mother?
Speaker 3 (34:36):
Okay, but he just wasn't that president. He's not trying
to come around now. Yeah, that's what all happen is, man,
you know that's the thing. How do you feel about that?
Is that something y'all?
Speaker 4 (34:48):
But congratulations to you for being a dad and being president,
knowing that you got to make it. Sometimes the things
that did that was not great in our lives is
what's going to make us great.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
Ye So listen.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
Yeah in the future. Right now, nix Dale and I
are talking to Armini. His album The Impact is out.
You also have a drill record you and I. First
time I heard that record, I was with a. I
was with a lady friend and she was like, for you,
thank you. She tells me all the time like, yo,
A money makes music for the bad. So like, is
that your motivation?
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Time?
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Or girls?
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Eighty? You want to get the girls? And man? Just
play some Armani in the call. Man, it's a fact.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
You said you don't like being told what to do?
How does that record relationships?
Speaker 11 (35:32):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (35:32):
You know, all wear the pants, you know, but also.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Complax to say that. I'm always like, how do you
get in a relationship? Because y'all can be very like.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
I'm not like I feel like I have a leader
leader mentality and a leader attitude, so it's not it's
not really hard. I'm not really disrespectful leader, but you know,
you got to stay in line.
Speaker 14 (35:49):
So like across like four or five songs, reference snap
Chat like ten times, I'm like, how many of those
you can in today?
Speaker 3 (35:57):
That being said, lip lip, be careful what you send
out me.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
No, all right, I don't even think I got a
snatch for.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
