Wills Bonner. She is the first black woman to lead
a major luxury house, and that major luxury house is Ermez.
She's only third, thirty five years old, and she's succeeding Veronique,
who has been with the house for thirty seven years.
And so after thirty seven years, one woman's retiring.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
And now we have a.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Black British Jamaican women stepping into that space.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
She has her own brand right now.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
She's done some major collaborations with Adidas, but now she
is going to be presenting Formez men personally.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
No, I wish I did.
Speaker 7 (02:26):
We'll work on that because I lost my belt when
they stole my luggage in.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Vegas, and our mess belt was like the standard for
any woman who was like in love with a guy
and you want to get him a lot.
Speaker 7 (02:36):
As a man, you're supposed to always have one.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
You're supposed to always have that, have that belt. So
shout out to her. I mean, that's an amazing accomplishment.
And she actually had willed this into existence like six
years ago. She said that that would be her dream
to like run a major old fashion house. Yeah, let's
get her up here please. You know how many people
are calling her right now because I'm stressed.
Speaker 2 (02:59):

Speaker 2 (03:41):
That's right, that's right, an awful job.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
Where are you moving to this morning?
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Where are you moving to?
Speaker 8 (03:47):
Charlotte, North Carolina?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Right outside of Charlotte.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
And it's gonna work, I feel it.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yay, all right, well, congratulations, check back in. Okay, thank you,
great day, you too.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
All right?
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Well that was shining light eight hund you're a two
ninety two fifty one fifty. In case you couldn't get through,
you can always leave a message and shine a light
that way. And when we come back, we got to
your Yet, of course we're gonna talk about Diddy in prison.
One of his close friends is speaking out about a
terrifying moment.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
It's way up, it.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Says in the rooms from industry shade to all of
gossip out Angelas spieling that yet, yeah, it's.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Way up at Angela yee I'm here with my guy.
No man, no, no maya And let's get into this yank.
Can we start with some breaking news though, yees? Breaking
news now. According to reports, so far, thirty one people
have been arrested and it looks like there may be
some more.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
And this is for this gambling probe that's going on now.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Miami Heat guard Terry Roseier was arrested in Orlando, Florida. Also,
Chauncey Billups, coach of the Portland trail Blazers, was arrested
by the FBI.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Here is yes, here's what's being said in the news.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Portland Trailblazers had co Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat Guarteri
Roseier have both been arrested this morning. Rosier has been
arrested for his involvement in alleged sports gambling and Billups
ABC News is reporting is tied to an illegal poker
operation tied to the mafia. And so you know, the
(05:23):
FBI has been investigating this situation for several months, in
Rosier's case, at least two years.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
This is are you are you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (05:34):
No?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I am not.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
And we don't know what type of what type of
indications it's going to have with gambling being made legal
in so many situations, you know now, because that's been
normalized and monetized. So a scandal like this, according to reports,
could at least a storm of prosecution, legislation, regulations.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Right now, it's still.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
The wild West, and so they're trying to figure out
what this could mean. Listen, there's thirty one more people
in custody and they say that they feel more people
are going to be arrested. We don't have more details
right now, but there is a press conference that's going on.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
We'll keep you updated.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
And Diddy, according to one of his close friends, Charluci Finney,
says that Diddy was nearly had his throat slit in prison.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
He woke up with.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
A knife pressed to his throat and this went down
allegedly during one of the nights did he was sleeping
at MDC Brooklyn playing And this first came to light
during Diddy's sentencing, and they said that it is authentic
and he was just seconds away from serious harm or death.
He doesn't know if the guards came to break it
up or if did he fought the guy off, but
they did confirm these details to TMZ.
Speaker 10 (06:43):
Stop playing that the man get out of here.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
Stop playing.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Well, you know he is not going to be there
much longer, so hopefully he can at least make it through.
All right, Well that is your yet when we come back. Man,
about last night. For some people, last night is bleeding
into today this morning, and we'll talk about last night
and what went down. I can't wait to hear some
of these let's wrap about it conversations.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
It's way up night, So about last night, Yes, I
went down.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
All right, it's way up at the Angela yee. I'm
here with Mayino and it's time for about last night. Now,
this is still last night for you.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
Yeah, we was shooting, let's wrap about it last night
and went into the wee hours in the morning and
then all all I remember is just waking up in
my driveway.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
But you didn't drive you in the passenger st Okay, right,
just want to clarify that.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
For anybody job.
Speaker 7 (07:40):
My job was sleeping too, And.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Very smart of you to have a driver. I want
to say that too. When you know you're doing your outside,
so you.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
Were outside doing wrong. You were filming, right, but you
never know what happened.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Okay, let's wrap about it. You and your boys. It
feels like a good time. And one of them is
going to be joining us today.
Speaker 7 (07:57):
Dave East.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Yeah, well, last night I hosted, alongside New York City
Votes in New York Magazine, mayoral debate watch party for
New York City. We're getting ready for early voting starts
on the twenty fifth, and it was amazing.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
It was a packed house.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Shout out to my god Charles Noonan, who also invites
a lot of people to come out. But I want
to say it was really nice to watch the debates
with everybody. There was a lot of oo ah moments.
You know, Mom Donny bought a couple of the accusers
that accused Cuomo. It was Sleiwa Curtis Lee, Cuomo and
(08:34):
Mom Donnie and the three.
Speaker 7 (08:36):
Of them were on the face A Mays today.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
I want to say Sleevea had some great jabs last night.
He was quite entertaining.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
You've been running for.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
He was quite entertaining. I will say that. But you know,
I always tell people these debates are how you can
see who stands for what who you want to vote for,
because a lot of us think about what's what is
our interest?
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Right like really, you know what I want to say.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
This, A lot of people are talking about how Donnie
has such a huge lead right now, anything can happen.
Is what it's feeling like to me. There's a lot
of people rallying behind Mom. I felt like, based off
of last night's debate, Cuomo painted Mom Donnie as a
person who does not have the experience to be mayor,
(09:22):
and then Mom Donnie, I think definitely as he has
been doing, painted Cuomo as somebody who has done so
many corrupt things should not be in a position to lead.
Speaker 7 (09:31):
I'm with him. We want to sit him down, all right.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Well, anyway, that was the debate last night, and so
it definitely made me question a lot of different things
a lot more. But when we come back, I want
to talk about this topic. This has been weighing on me.
And you have a daughter, so I want to get
your thoughts on it. There was a viral video a
few days ago where a dad was saying that it
really does bother him that he couldn't throw his daughter
(09:56):
a slumber party. Apparently, you know, mom didn't want their kid,
their daughters going to his house for stuff, Yeah, for
a sleepover. So I want to know your thoughts on that.
Monica also weighed in on the topic and had some
discourse over She said, we don't do sleepovers.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
My mother didn't.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
I don't either, and I want to just get your opinion,
Mane and when we come back as a dad, but
we want to hear from you too. Eight hundred nine
two fifty one fifty. What do you think about sleepovers
for your kids? Do you have him at the house
or would you let your kid go to somebody else's
eight hundred two nine to two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Call us up, let us know.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
It's way up, all right, it's way up with Angela yee,
and we're talking about sleepovers slumber parties.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Now.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
This all came from Mark Jango Crazy. He was on
TikTok and he was saying how difficult it's been for him.
His daughter wants to have a sleepover, but the moms
for him as a single dad, will not let the
young ladies the girls sleep at his house. And Monica
waded in and said that she also doesn't do sleepovers.
I know when I was young, I had sleepovers all
(10:59):
the time, but I never was allowed to sleep out. Well,
I want to see what your guys, thoughts about this
are Raymond, what do you think about this?
Speaker 10 (11:06):
Why? How are you?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
How you doing?
Speaker 10 (11:08):
All right?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
So may know I say hello too, may not say hello.
Speaker 10 (11:11):
Okay, what's u?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
What do you think about sleepovers?
Speaker 8 (11:16):
I think that it depends on the parents knowing the dad.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (11:21):
If the parents.
Speaker 11 (11:22):
Don't know the father, it's not good.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
And then if the kids don't know the father, it's
not good. I have a daughter, there's a lot of friends.
Speaker 8 (11:30):
He have friends and dance flasks. They are Fraisen school
and I know them and they know me, and they
have their dad. Have to have a truck wrecked too, right,
Having good good.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
People, knowing the kids, loving the kids and treating them
with decency and respect, then you.
Speaker 8 (11:47):
Can have a sleepover.
Speaker 10 (11:48):
Dad.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
That's something different. So you're going to be around each
other's daughters all the time.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Right, right, So I've been.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
I've been with them many a time, and that I've
had many sleepovers and they're comfortable.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
Okay, all right, that's fair, Raymond, thank you. How do
you feel about letting your daughter sleep over?
Speaker 2 (12:04):
There too? Other people's houses. There's one if I know
the dad, Okay.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Go to parents and they have to see dec see
and Chuck Rickey that I that I was feel comfortable week.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
I have no problem, all right, thank you for colling.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
Hey, Kim, Hey, how are you.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
I'm good. How you doing.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
I'm okay, So mano, and I want to know what
you think about sleepover is tell me your experience with
letting your daughters sleep over.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
Well, I have three daughters, they're all grown now, but
I was never I was never okay with sleepovers because
things can happen. And like I explained to the other
guy that my daughter, my oldest one, wanted to spend
a night over her friend's house and she always wanted
to go. And come to find out years later, grandfather
(12:52):
because the girl lives with her grandparents. The grandfather had
raised the cousin and then Wanda go in jail.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Oh my godness.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
I just feel like things can happen, and you know,
with sleepovers, and I just don't trust it.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Well, that would listen, That would make anybody right, all right, Well,
thank you for calling. That was definitely an eye opener
for everybody listening.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
But thank you.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
All right, Well, if you guys still want to call
in and talk about it. Eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty is the number. And when we
come back, we have your Yet and Wendy ol Sefo
from Real Housewives of Potomac. She's saying that she is
not a fraudster, as she's facing sixteen counts and her
husband is facing eighteen counts. We'll tell you what she
is arguing for these four charges. It's way up this pot.
Speaker 10 (13:39):
Let's get it.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Oh, angelus, feeling that yet, Come and get the tea.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
All right, it's way up at the Angela. Yee, I'm
here with Maino. Main what's that, Mano? How you feeling?
Speaker 10 (13:50):
All right?
Speaker 4 (13:50):
Well, let's get into some yet. He's asleep, all right, y'all.
He hasn't slept all night.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
I'm trying.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
So first let's talk about my guy, Joey Badass. Now
you know, he was supposed to be on a tour.
He did recently cancel his tour and people were very
disappointed about that. But there were also all these rumors
about why did he cancel the tour. It was his
Dark Ora tour and Rhapsody was on the tour as
well well. He finally has spoken out about it, and
he was on with earn Your Leisure. Here's what he
(14:17):
had to say.
Speaker 11 (14:18):
My honest truth of why I canceled the tour is
that my mental health was just not aligned with it.
You know, I did not feel mentally fit enough to
embark on this journey. And I got my five month
year old son. We're trying to figure out vaccinations and
all that stuff.
Speaker 10 (14:38):
It's just such a critical tone.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Yeah, he has a five month old baby, I mean,
and he's got a lot going on right now, so
you know that was for his mental health he had.
I kind of felt like that because he also said
they were rumors that people were saying, oh, it's not selling,
and Rhapsody even had addressed that at the time and said, guys,
there's a lot of reasons why tour get canceled.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Ticket sales was not a reason.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Here relaxed, Okay, all right, now, let's get into Stephen A.
Smith on his show Straight Shooter. He had some things
to say about Jasmine Crockett. I guess he doesn't like
the way that she addresses Donald Trump, and he came
at her even though Jasmine Crockett has been on the
front line taking all this criticism. Sometimes when it's coming
(15:23):
from quote unquote inside the house, it hurts a lot more.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Well, here's what Steven A. Smith originally had to say.
Speaker 9 (15:29):
Our Jasmine Crockett chooses to express herself.
Speaker 7 (15:32):
I'm like, is that gonna help your text?
Speaker 10 (15:34):
Aren't you there to find a way to get stuff done.
Speaker 9 (15:38):
I'm just gonna go off about Trump, cuss him out
every chance I get, say the most derogatory and sending
everything's imaginable, and that's my day's work.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
It's interesting to me that a lot of times people
who may nicely oppose Chump, we don't necessarily hear those voices.
And sometimes you do have to be the person that's
gonna be on that frontline. That's not an easy thing
to do. Well, you know, Jasmine Crockett and Joanne Reid,
we're on with Don Lemon for the Don Lemon Show.
And here is what Jasmine Crockett had to say about
(16:09):
this criticism.
Speaker 12 (16:10):
It does hurt because it's like I expect more and better,
and frankly, I am always down for a real conversation,
I really am. I mean, but I haven't even experienced
that type of stuff coming out of even black men
on the other side of the island Congress.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
All right, So She's been fighting this good fight for
a long time. And it's interesting because Steven A. Smith
did circle back around and and apologized for his choices
of words and.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
What he had to say about Jasmine Crockett.
Speaker 9 (16:41):
I get it now with Trump feeding into that nonsense,
giving him Fodor ammunition to continue to go out there
and talk about our black women that way, I got it.
Speaker 10 (16:53):
I don't like that at all.
Speaker 7 (16:54):
I don't want to be associated with nothing like that.
Speaker 9 (16:56):
And I apologize because I respect the hell out of
Jasmin Crowt and what she has a comp I absolutely do.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
And I want to say that if certain publications and
people are retweeting you and agreeing with you and saying,
now he's found the way.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
You're doing something wrong, a lot of times it's who
disagrees with you. I think that shows the strength and
what it is that you're doing.
Speaker 4 (17:22):
Sometimes people agree with you and you have to realize
you're on the wrong side of things when that happens.
It's interesting who gave Stephen A. Smith backlash after he apologized.
Some people in his base were mad about that. All right, Well,
when we come back, we have under the radar. These
are the stories that are not necessarily the headline stories,
but super important.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
There's a lot going on in this world. We can't
let anything slip under the radar. It's way up. Take
the news.
Speaker 10 (17:45):
News.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar, all right.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
It's way up with angela ye, and it is time
for these under the radar stories. You know, it is
election season and I cannot express that enough to you
guys that everybody got to get out no matter where
you are, and vote soon and make sure you know
who's running. Of course New York City, this race has
been one that's been watched no matter where you are.
They just announced that today Eric Adams is endorsing New
(18:13):
York governor former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor
Eric Adams is our current mayor of New York City
who did drop out of the race. So allegedly, supposedly
this is going to be coming today, but we saw
that the two of them were together at the Knixt
opening game last night, so we already know that's pretty
much a big deal. Another thing, though, is the mayoral
(18:34):
debates were yesterday. That's Andrew Cuomo, Zara Mam Donnie and
Curtis Leiwa. And so this is the final debate for
New York City mayor. And when I tell you, this
was quite spicy. We literally had a mayoral debate watch
party with DJ Nick Seal on the ones and twos.
We also had New York Magazine and NYC Votes in
(18:55):
the building to host at cup And at one point
in this final Mom Donnie had some things to say
about these women that claimed that they were sexually harassed
by Cuomo.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Here's what happened, mister Cuomo.
Speaker 13 (19:11):
In twenty twenty one, thirteen different women who worked in
your administration incredibly accused you of sexual harassment. One of
those women, Charlotte Bennett, is here in the audience this evening.
She cannot speak up for herself because you lodged a
defamation case against her. I, however, can speak. What do
you say to the thirteen women that you sexually harassed?
Speaker 14 (19:32):
Who?
Speaker 4 (19:33):
When I tell you, we were in the shop watching
the debates together and this may everybody be like, oh
my goodness. And I think a lot of times when
that happens, Cuomo looks very confused. But yes, yesterday's debates
were incredible to be able to watch firsthand, and for Cuomo,
he has denied the allegations from Miss Bennett and other women.
(19:55):
He did not address Miss Bennett, but he did say
that Mom Donnie was not mature and so try to
point out that several lawsuits against him regarding the harassment
claims have been dropped. So imagine having somebody like that
in the in the audience while that was happening. All right, well,
that is your under the radar. We do have the
way it makes for you. At the top of the
hour plus exciting news, Dave East is going to be
(20:17):
joining us and I guarantee you man Know will be
awake for that one.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
It's way up, just like the.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
Like they Angela Jean, like they Angelae Jean.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
Man, she's spilling it all.
Speaker 10 (20:28):
This is yeaty way up.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
Yes, it's way yup, but Angela yea, And it's time
for your yea tee. Now let's start up for some
backlash that Kiki Palmer has now responded to, and this
is because of a new key TV series that's called
Southern Fried Rice. You know, key TV is her streaming service,
and it's a coming of age show about a Korean
American girl raised by Southern Black Parents. Now, she posted,
(20:57):
y'all know I love a good story with some heart, humor,
and a lot of mess.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Here is the trailer for that show that's out.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
Okay, I know I got some explaining to do.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Let's start with the elephant in the room.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
Yes I'm Nation, Yes my family is black, and yes
I've always been hard to miss.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
It's all right.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Well, while she's excited about it, on social media, people
were very upset about it, and there were a lot
of comments. One person said, as a black Ivy League student,
I cannot begin to explain how tone depf this series
is considering the current political climate. Really, Kiki and other
people were saying, now, if they start to take from us,
you know why. Well, anyway, Kiky Palmer has since gone
(21:44):
on social media and responded, here's what she said.
Speaker 15 (21:47):
This series called Southern Fried Rice that's premiering on KEYTV,
that is receiving some controversial feedback. Now, Southern Fried Rice
was created by Nikkia Stevens and KEGV has proudly invested
over a half a million dollars on her creations. And
I say that because it's not easy to obtain that
kind of investment. It's a network not just because it
(22:08):
has stars and shows or has talent, but because it's
about the people who create the shows.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Wow. Okay, so we shall see where this is. She
didn't create the show. It's on her network, but the
show just came out.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
So you know, I guess as long as people are talking,
because I would have known about it if it wasn't
for the backlash at first. And now let's talk about
this sports betting ring that has led to arrest today.
FBI Director Cash Pattel and other officials had a press
conference today and they detailed a massive mafia linked gambling
and sports rigging probe. And that's when Miami Heat guard
(22:46):
Terry Rosier got arrested. Portland Traill Blazer's head coach Chauncey
Billups was arrested. So far, there's been over thirty people
that have been accused of being involved in this ring.
And here is what Cash Patel, director of the FBI,
had to say.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Good morning today.
Speaker 14 (23:02):
We're here in New York to announce a historic arrests
across a wide, sweeping criminal enterprise that envelops both the
NBA and LaCOSA Nostra. What you don't know is that
this is an illegal gambling operation and sports rigging operation
that spanned the course of years. The FBI led a
coordinative takedown across eleven states to arrest over thirty individuals
(23:24):
today responsible for this case, which is very much ongoing.
Speaker 4 (23:28):
Former NBA player Damon Jones was also charged. Thirteen members
and associates of the Banano, Gambino and Genevie's New York
crime families are among the defendants in the two cases,
and there were specific teams who were bet on. Those
teams include the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trailblazers, Los Angeles Lakers,
(23:48):
and Toronto Raptors. The NBA has issued their first statements
since this news broke. They said that Chauncey Billips and
Terry Rosier are on immediate lead from their TD like customs,
chuff machines that could read the order of cards, bar
coded decks, and hitting cameras built into the tables and
light fixtures, according to New York City's Police Commissioner. And yeah,
(24:10):
they said there was even violence that were that was
used in some of these situations.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
So I guess we'll be following this story.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
Hakim Jeffrey said that he is very surprised that all
of this was happening, and like we said, this is
something they've been investigating for eleven years. So I'm sure
there's going to be more fallout from this and.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
I'm shocked.
Speaker 10 (24:33):
All right.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Well, when we come back, ask ye eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. Any question, I'm here to
help and maybe Mana will be back. It's way up,
all right, everybody since whether.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
It's relationship with career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
You should know this is as D what's up his
way up at Angela?
Speaker 16 (24:50):
Yee?
Speaker 4 (24:50):
And it's time for ask yee eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
And as you know, Max called the other day.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
He was having issues because his woman didn't like him
being out and she likes to be inside, and so
we talked about compromise.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Well, Max is back on the line. What's that Max?
Speaker 8 (25:09):
Hi, Angela, how are you doing?
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Thanks for having her back? Oh no, I'm glad. I
feel like something must have happened that quickly.
Speaker 8 (25:15):
Yeah, no, so we you know, we had a conversation
about it pretty much that night, and she had a
lot of feelings I feel like a big thing she
kind of took away from it is that she just
felt like I wasn't offending enough time with her really,
like even not at all. I'm just so we're kind
of resolving to we're gonna start off movie nights just
the two of us. But I think that could be good.
(25:38):
And like, you know, I like a lot of the
same things she does. I just feel like that sometimes
I wanted to be with other people and around like
all our friends. But you know, I think she just
wanted to spend more time with just us.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
That's a good thing.
Speaker 8 (25:49):
I'm happy about it. No, I'm really excited for it.
I feel like a big thing that was happening was
just like I had no idea how she felt, and
now she's just like, no, I want to stay inside,
but I want to spend inside time with you. So
I think we're just going to try to see how
we can take advantage for being inside.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
Being inside more ways than one. That's okay, Max, You're
about to be inside maximum And you sound really happy though,
Like you sound like it was a great productive conversation.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Feels like the night ended with more than cuddling.
Speaker 8 (26:25):
I think we I mean we we stayed inside side.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Like we go with that, stay inside, don't come out.
Speaker 8 (26:36):
No, no, no no, we have Angela. Thanks for that.
We're gonna be enjoying the inside for sure.
Speaker 10 (26:43):
Man, I like this guy.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Hey, if it's a girl name or Angela.
Speaker 8 (26:46):
Okay, all right, we'll have to we'll have to put
that on the table for sure.
Speaker 10 (26:51):
All right, what's crazy.
Speaker 11 (26:54):
With that?
Speaker 2 (26:55):
But thank you, Max. I'm so glad you called and
gave us a follow up.
Speaker 8 (27:00):
Thank you again.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
And you're always our friends. So anything you need to
hit us up, absolutely take care. Well that was ask
Ye eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. If
you couldn't get through, you could leave a message and
you know, ask a question and we'll put it up
on ask Ye. Look at us solving problems quickly, you
know what I'm saying, we do And speaking of pulling
up and talking. When we come back, Dave East is
(27:24):
joining us. This is one fourth of the Let's Wrap
About It podcast. You know you're also one fourth, So
half of Let's Wrap About It's gonna be here.
Speaker 10 (27:32):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
He's got a new project out called Karma four and
you're on it. Yep, yep, so we'll talk about it.
It's way up.
Speaker 7 (27:40):
We're about to do this, yeah, y'all.
Speaker 10 (27:41):
More way up with Angela on now is what it is.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
What's up? Its way up with Angela.
Speaker 4 (27:49):

Jave East is here. Well, congratulations, you've got to be
feeling good with Karma four people are saying, and this
is your best work to dates.
Speaker 16 (28:01):
Yes, I feel amazing, long time coming. Finally independent, So yeah,
it feel good.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
Oh wow, finally independent. That's a big deal.
Speaker 10 (28:10):
Yeah, that's a big deal.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Ten years and financially that's a big deal too.
Speaker 10 (28:13):
All the way.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Yeah, we had you in the hot seat early, early,
and now you yourself in the hot seat.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
What is different about doing it on your own?
Speaker 16 (28:22):
Just the freedom to do it how I want to
do it, from the videos to the actual music I'm making,
to the producers I want to work with.
Speaker 10 (28:30):
All of that is like how I want to do it.
I was on you, you know what I mean.
Speaker 16 (28:33):
I don't have the outside distractions or people trying to
tell me you need this kind of song, you need
to cater to the this crowd, or.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
That I just want to do it how I want
to do and Mayno's on the album of course. Okay now,
and I do enjoy this song. What we're talking me.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
You said some things on there, manor that makes me
feel like you don't want to get married for.
Speaker 7 (28:53):
You say that my husband material girls.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
You said sleep and play with her kids.
Speaker 6 (28:57):
Hey, oh right, but that's that's what she's supposed to
do a lot, have time for the kids. Don't forget
about the kids. You come to that lady house and
some respect, some respect.
Speaker 7 (29:08):
You understand what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Some respect. That's a good that's a guy.
Speaker 7 (29:17):
She tired, she's tired. She been up with them kids
for days. That over there, I put a sleep and
then I go play with them kids happy.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
You know.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
It would be a good wedding sign for you though,
stand on that that Oh yeah, that's yeah. Now that's
a good wedding like because that's what you need, right,
somebody that's gonna make you feel different, something that's like
a feeling you've never had before, you know.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
And so I think maybe that's what you're searching for.
Speaker 16 (29:45):
That's the that's the that's the you're talking to me. Yeah,
that's what you're walking out.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
I feel like Dave's good listen because three girls, that's
the playing Davies has three girls.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
You know what three girls will do to you as
as a man.
Speaker 10 (30:01):
The girls is heavy being.
Speaker 7 (30:03):
I know, I got of three. I'm girled up right now.
I'm girled up for surely.
Speaker 10 (30:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 16 (30:11):
I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know, but
I love I love the kids like I feel like
that's that priceless love.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
And three ladies having a little baby brother.
Speaker 16 (30:18):
That that's that love. You can't I mean, I'm paying
for it, but that I mean, you ain't gotta pay
for that love.
Speaker 10 (30:25):
That love. That love hit a little different, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
It's that they say Daddy's little girls. Like, that's what
it is. I don't want to sound girls and their fathers.
Speaker 16 (30:33):
I don't want to sound like a like a whrmonk call,
but it's it's like some heart women like you know
what I'm saying, Like really like I like just feeling them,
hugging them, seeing how they look, how they act, they
face their personality that they look, they act just like me.
It's little Me's like, so that's to me, that's the
dope in the world.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Dave East is here. This is the first time. I'm
way up with the Angela.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Yeah, he's been on the service many times, but we
got more with him when we come back. His album
Karma for Us out right now. It's way up more.
Now what's up his way up at the Angela.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Ye, I'm here with my guy, you know, and his guy,
Dave East.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
I feel like man is the type of person who
might engage in the back and forth and you're not
like Dave is.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Like the might see Dave say is.
Speaker 10 (31:15):
It depends his black game is let me tell you something.
Speaker 7 (31:22):
To send him something from like a blog.
Speaker 16 (31:27):
Because I didn't block down well listen he petty though.
I go to like when I see people hate or
say something, I go to the to how many people
like to the.
Speaker 7 (31:37):
People that liked it, he blocked them like if you
like it?
Speaker 1 (31:40):
What that?
Speaker 10 (31:40):
If you like that? Bad comment about that is? You
know what my thing being. They'll take all of the
bull it like all of and I get it.
Speaker 16 (31:49):
That's what people want to hear like that, that's what.
But I'm not just saying them, but more general, just
in general, that's what people do. They want to I
can put out a brand new album. But if I
get into a back and forth in a comment, that's
gonna yeah, they'll post that before they post my new
album Negativity.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
It's almost like that Dui video came out on me
that it went viral.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
I'm like, all this music I'm dropping. This is what
I want to talk about, a three four year old video.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
And the headline being like Dave East fell asleep behind
the wheel and yeah, but he's not driving today, ladies
and gentlemen, we're just celebrating.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
My driver.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Did you get an actual DUI?
Speaker 10 (32:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (32:27):
I did for that because they found what it was.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
I was parked up and there was an empty shan
It was an empty.
Speaker 16 (32:32):
Champagne bottle in the back. I wasn't driving and drinking
a bottle, but I meant sleep.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
You're not even allowed to be asleep in the car.
Speaker 10 (32:41):
Not in not in the driver seat.
Speaker 16 (32:42):
If I'd have been in the passage seat and I'd
have been like, I could have woke up and been like, yo,
the drip of ran.
Speaker 10 (32:46):
I don't know where he went. I probably have been.
Speaker 6 (32:48):
Good coming up, Like you show your career path being
more basketball or rap.
Speaker 10 (32:52):
I never thought rap.
Speaker 7 (32:54):
You never thought.
Speaker 10 (32:55):
I just loved rap, but I was.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
Ball straight a few of them, but KT is the
most you know, I mean, the most common. But but
how did rap become the career I violated the I
violated my my scholarship, in my basket, my basketball world.
Speaker 10 (33:14):
I went.
Speaker 16 (33:14):
I went to jail with that. It was like it's
gonna be ten times hard. It was already hard, Like
at the college I was. I wasn't at a duke,
you know what I mean, or like a U. C.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
L A.
Speaker 10 (33:23):
I was at Richmond and Townson.
Speaker 16 (33:25):
Known schools, but they ain't the top, top schools where
I'm on ESPN every night.
Speaker 7 (33:29):
So it was already a challenge being at the school
I was at.
Speaker 10 (33:32):
Then I go to jail.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
It was like another access.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
I smoked that and think about how you came up
and that was what you knew and that was and
then to have that taken from you and not know, like,
now what am I gonna do?
Speaker 16 (33:42):
Right, I'm in queens Bridge every day. You know what
I'm saying, I'm seeing jungle, I'm seeing na family. They
telling me, you got it, you know what I'm saying. Like,
so that's how the nade came about. You know what
I'm saying like and from when.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
He signed it was a huge.
Speaker 10 (33:57):
When he said it was through jungle.
Speaker 16 (34:00):
When Nas said it, hold years up basketball at basketball shit,
I was thinking. But I thought I had messed up
and I wasn't gonna bounce back. I'm back in the store.
Now I can, and now I'm getting raised again because
you know, coming from basketball, I was so used to
being praised.
Speaker 7 (34:16):
Yes, you know what I.
Speaker 10 (34:17):
Mean, Like always, that was my my upbringing. I was
always the ball player.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
So it's like fate things happened.
Speaker 16 (34:24):
By the time I looked up, it was Nas on
Angie Martinez shout me out, and I'm like.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Whoa, all right?
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Well, normally we would have last word in the next break.
But Dave East, we're having such a good time. This
feels like a podcast in itself. And he does have
a podcast with Maino, Jim Jones and Fab It's called
Let's Rap About It. He's also got a new album
where he does rap about it. It's called Karma for It.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
That's out right now. We got more when we come back.
It's way up.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
We're about to do this laws the famous women in
radio video and we're talking about angela.
Speaker 10 (34:54):
Ye, you're way up with angela ye.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Please believe that what's up its way up with the
angela yee.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
And last where today goes to Dave East his first
time coming out independent, come before is out right now?
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Mano's here.
Speaker 17 (35:07):
I love your relationship And I tell you this all
the time we talk about this is your relationship with
your mother and father. They come out to your events,
they right there, Like I love to see that because
all of us wasn't fortunate to have that that unit
like that like that, So I love to see that.
Speaker 10 (35:22):
Man, you know, it's crazy with that.
Speaker 11 (35:23):
I was.
Speaker 7 (35:24):
I was talking to man last night about that. In
the basketball world, that's normal.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Oh, that's a fact.
Speaker 16 (35:29):
It is in the basketball world. You see players with
their mother, they father, that's a normal thing. In the
rap world, it ain't.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Yeah, you're right, you.
Speaker 10 (35:38):
Know what I'm saying. Like the majority of the round, their.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Parents have to be really supportive, come to the games.
If it's aau they got, you know, it's a lot
my dad nowhere.
Speaker 7 (35:47):
So the athlete that makes it all the way to
the NBA is the movie. The athlete that makes it
all the way to the NBA, he had that.
Speaker 16 (35:53):
Support system right going all the way I happen to
tell my mom sometimes.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
Like Mom, you get this into witness what you've become.
It's amazing for them because that's a product of them.
Speaker 10 (36:04):
Right, and they've seen me fall off.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
What did they think when you got locked up?
Speaker 16 (36:09):
My father stopped speaking. He didn't want to speak to me.
He was he did time. So his biggest fear for
me was going to jail. He never wanted. He always
tried to do things to keep me off of that path.
And as soon as I got on my own, that's
what I did. And my pops fell out.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Once the music start roller, he was good, he was like,
okay and listen, and that kind of despair to the
sound botager chunks too.
Speaker 7 (36:33):
I feel like, yeah, they kicked me out of school
all that.
Speaker 16 (36:36):
That's all that song I was. I was playing around
on that song. I didn't put no effort to that,
like just not be writing my heart out and trying
sweating and going through it.
Speaker 10 (36:47):
I don't care nothing about that.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
But but that's how it happens. Because some of the
things you say out there I love, like when your
crew made it, that's when you know nothing.
Speaker 16 (37:00):
And I really I'm not just saying that I really
feel that, like I want all whoever's a part of
what I got going on.
Speaker 10 (37:06):
We all got to have a nice call.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Real success is.
Speaker 6 (37:11):
It's not jewelry. A lot of things jewelry. What cause
that man driving compared to the call you driving? What
crib is that man living in comparing to the crib?
I mean like once all that's adult somewhere, you know
what I mean, even scale or in the same space.
Speaker 10 (37:25):
That's when I can sit back and be like, yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
We did that, gotta do it, gotta do that all right? Well,
thank you so much and congratulations Karma for just seeing
like like I said, I've met you so early on
and just to see where you are today. I love
it because honestly, like being a hip hop artist or
artists in general, you never know how long that's going
to last. And it feels like it's just.
Speaker 7 (37:46):
You know, can't just beat the music.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
You know, it feels like it's been And that's the
whole idea, right is you always want to be going
way up.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
There's another level to unlock. Always way up.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
Love baby, But thank you so much to Day East,
Thank you Mayo too. Make sure you check out that
for an interview on my YouTube channel, Way Up with
ye and y'all have a great rest of your day.

He's gonna be doing an intimate listening plus maybe a little,
you know, a couple of songs live.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
I'm excited for that. We will see y all tomorrow.
Be safe. It's way up, going way up.
Speaker 8 (38:19):
Turning out with Angela Yee
