fifty one fifty Chris, how are you?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I'm okay you. I've been on this show a couple
of times. And if you remember, if you remember baby Gianna,
so I just I was trying to shine the light
on the nurses that's been taken care of her. You know,
she came three months early, one pound twelve ounces. As
of yesterday, it makes her two months mark and she
is at four pound. And I just want to shout out.

(03:11):
It's the ladies at uf helth in Jacksonville in the
neat Q department and them ladies are phenomenal. They love
our baby. But I just want to, you know, big
them up and let them know that we really appreciate them,
when we really know that when we leave that hospital
and go home that she is an amazing pair with
those ladies. So I just want to shot them out.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Man. I am so happy to hear that for you.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Man, I know it's been really stressful, but it's so
great to see she's grown like double inside. So shout
out to that and everybody that's been working hired. You
sound so much happier relieved. All right, Well, thank you
for Colin. I love that great news.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
All right, thank you y'all.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Have a good day you too.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Well, that would shine a light eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through.
And when we come back, we have your yet and
Diddy is not going to get out on Bill.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Will tell you what happened in the courtroom.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
It's way up, they says, rooms from industry shade to
all the gossip out Angela's speeling that et. Yeah, it's
way up with Angela. Yee beat out here with me,
good Judd, be that be all right? Let's get into
this et. So Teddy has been denied Bill still, so
he'll still be that was clever and.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Jail pending his sentencing. He filed a new motion for
Bill last week. His legal team said he's.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Probably the only man in America behind bars for hiring
and transporting males sex workers across state lines to have
sex with his girlfriends. He said he was never having
sex with them, and so unfortunately for him, even though
he offered a fifty million dollar package for bond and
said that he would stay at his home in Miami
limit his travel to Florida and New York if he

(04:50):
was able to get out, the judge said, Nah.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Wow, they're trying to make an example out of.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Puff, you know, so you don't think it's valid the
reasons why they're keeping him locked up.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I mean, he's all fering fifty million dollars.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yeah, I guess their main thing is also they feel
like he's also been harassing people, threatening people whatever, So
maybe they feel like it's just you just got to
sit and wait. I know they're trying to get an
earlier date. True, now, I'll be sure in the meantime,
is accusing Diddy's pr team of suppressing Kim portas stories.
He posted an email and basically has said, remember when

(05:26):
I said there was the most expensive pr media campaign
and initiated to conceal evidence, discredit silent, and dragged me
through the national media. When I exposed all of this
deplorable activity and then stood ten toes down about Kimberly's
a legit murder. Well, then he posted an email that says,
per our contract, we've suppressed ported death rumors in twenty
seven outlets, Inquirer is holding for fifty thousand confirmed wire damn.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
So Kim's baby fathers are at it.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
So yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
And then he said the one item on Trump's agenda
that seems to be accurate in this case, the fake
news as you see here, it can be paid for.
And you know there's still that story right that did
he is gonna get pardoned allegedly allegedly there's a story
by Donald Trump? All right Now, one person who didn't
get that parton was five year oh four and he
just got released from jail after spending six months what

(06:15):
behind bars, and now he's facing three years of probation.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
I even though he was locked up, I.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Know you're lying. You didn't know.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
No, you are lying and being honest. I didn't know
he was locked up, just he was being quiet.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
He was released on Friday.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
He was sentenced to time served for one hundred and
ninety six days that he's spent incarcerated, and according to
his attorney, he was facing a mandatory minimum of five
years in prison and up to twenty because of his record,
So his new sentence should be considered a win.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
You know, he was accused of pointing a gun.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
At a woman who asked for his help jump starting
her car on New Year's Eve, and he told the woman,
if I see you parked in front of this building again,
there was going to be an fing problem.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
That was the allegation.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
He got arrested and incarcerated in New Jersey for unlawful
possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, and terroristic threats. He
did plead guilty to terroristic threats or the threat to
commit a crime of violence in the third degree.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, who knew?

Speaker 7 (07:09):
Right?

Speaker 5 (07:09):
Who knew exactly?

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Another? Who knew? Monica got married?

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Oh, she did announce her nuptials with Anthony Wilson, who
she's been with for quite some time. She put two
hearts one love Forever. So in the Instagram shot you
can see the two of them together. They had an
intimate courthouse wedding. So congratulations to them.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
She got the boy. That's the way it's supposed to be.
The boy is her intimate courthouse wedding.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
All right, Okay, sounds like you're plotting something and that
is your Yet when we come back, we have about
last night. I know you were outside, Yes, I was.
I gotta hear about this. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
So about last night. Yes, I went down.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Hey, it's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here and
I got beat out here good. I know you were
outside last night. I really wanted to come to this,
so talk about what you did.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Yes, last night, I went to raw Out in Brooklyn,
WWE event. That was my first time ever going to
a wrestling event. I always wanted to go as a kid,
so I was really happy to get that experience.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
And it was cool. I sat next to I was
in between Havoc and Joe Butden.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
And sounds like some queens things.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
Yeah, and method Man was there too. It was cool.
I had those Joe button seats, had a great time.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Man and then Joe Button seats baby.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Yeah, it was so crazy.

Speaker 6 (08:24):
Is that one of the personalities The manager Paul Hayman,
he was exiting the ring and I was heckling him
and he told me he'll smack the black.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Off of me.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Wow, that's a hard smack.

Speaker 5 (08:34):
Oh man, Yo, Yes, it is pretty Did.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
You feel offended?

Speaker 5 (08:38):
No, I was laughing the whole time. It was a
great time.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
All right, Well, yesterday, you know, we do have a
special guest coming in today, Diamond Platinums.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Right.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
I'm young, famous and African, and I was watching some
of the show yesterday to catch up because I've watched
it before, but I had to do a little refresh
and I was looking at all of these like crazy
relationships on the show. I mean, if you've never watched
this show, the amount of like one woman she her
husband has five kids, right, she had her first kid

(09:10):
came after he had all these kids by different women,
but she was with him first.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
It's wild like this stuff and people will be like, oh,
you know, you need to stay and things like that,
and it's just insane to me, like the type of
advice that people get. And the other thing I was
watching was my girl Janey has this podcast called Hey Jane,
and she actually had Michael Jah White on their talking
about just Yes, the actor, just talking about relationships and

(09:39):
how when he was younger, he was of the mindset
that to be a good man means just don't bring
it home.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
I thought a good man was somebody who kept his
side chicks, you know.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
In check in check Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
And I even had aunts and uncles women who agreed
with that.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
You basically were like, as you don't bring it home,
I love you up with that?

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Can you imagine that? And people really believe that. So
I want to ask you, guys, what is the worst
advice relationship advice that somebody has ever given you. We
all know that people will give you some advice and
you're like, what is wrong with you? I was telling
y'all about somebody that was telling one of my friends
and my homegirl. She is super accomplished, she's an attorney,

(10:30):
went to you know, she went to Upan. She's really smart,
she's got her own house, she's got her own stuff,
and this guy was always cheating on her and one
of my but he was trying to get her to
come on like a vacation with him, like meet him
on vacation after he had just got caught cheating.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
And my other friend was like, go, it's a free trip.
Go it's a free trip. And I was like, girl,
you better not go on that trip. You do not
need a free trip. You have your own money, you
have your own thing. There is no way you should
let some man feel like he could do whatever he
wants to do you and you're gonna still pop out
on a trip. There is nothing worse than being stuck
on a trip with somebody who you are so mad at,
who you can't stand.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
It's going to be a disaster.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
Nothing beats to jet to holiday angel.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
That's a fact.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
But we want to know what's the worst relationship advice
you ever got? Called us up eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty. That's eight hundred nine two fifty
one fifty. What is the worst relationship advice you ever got?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
It's way up? Turn out you.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Vib it way up with Angela Yee. Write more now.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
It's way up at Angela yee.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
I'm here with Beata good jet bees s I am,
And we're talking about the worst relationship advice you ever got? Now,
my girl Jenney has her podcast Hey Jana, and she
had Michael Jai White on, and he said this.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
I thought a good man was somebody who kept his
side chicks, you know, in check in check.

Speaker 7 (11:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
And I even had aunts and uncles women who agreed
with that.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
You basically were like, you know, a man's going to
be a man as long as you don't bring it home.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
I grew up with that. Now, what's the worst relationship
advice you ever got?

Speaker 6 (12:01):
I mean, I usually get great advice from my life
coach slash therapist aka Barber, and you know he usually
leaves me in the right direction. But you know, I
do remember one time I got bad advice from someone
in high school and it was college, and he told
me to pursue a chick who was a lady of
the evening.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Why was that bad advice? It didn't work out? It
did not okay, all right?

Speaker 1 (12:26):
She was.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
I feel like I got in tons of advice.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
I remember one time I was dating this guy who
was super jealous and one of my friends told me
that I should just stick it through it and try
to make me feel like I was wrong, and he
would get upset if I like took pictures with people
at something that I was getting paid to be at.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Wow, And I was like, she was like, no, you
should stay. You should make him feel more.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Secure and I should never have stayed in anything that long.
But we want to hear from you. What is the
worst relationship advice you ever got, Destiny, What's the worst
relationship advice you ever got?

Speaker 8 (12:56):
I've actually gotten this advice from his mom one point.
At one point she called me so she knew that
we were going through a little bit of a tough time,
and you told me to shit and fight through it
because we hate her and his dad were going through
the same thing when they were our age. The thing
about him, he is a cheater, he was a liar,
he was a manipulator all the above. And don't I

(13:19):
can't say that his dad was doing the same thing,
but if he was, that was on her. I didn't
want to deal with that.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
Listen, I had the same thing happened to me my
ex boyfriend. I caught literally caught him in bed with
somebody else and his mother told me, you know, his
stepfather didn't settle down until he was too old to
want to run around like that. You got to give
it time. But yes, terrible advice. Thank you for calling.
Thank you, Hey, Danny.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
What's the worst relationship advice you ever got?

Speaker 6 (13:44):
Relationship with advice I ever got when I was in
high school and one of my uncles told me only
use a condom for people that you don't love.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
If you're in love with somebody, it's all good.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
I know it's crazy, right, damn bet that you ever
got that advice?

Speaker 5 (13:59):
Oh? I do have a kid?

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Okay, wow? Did so? What did you think when he
said that?

Speaker 9 (14:05):
I was like, this is why they didn't invite you
to cook out one fact?

Speaker 4 (14:12):
All right, Well, thank you for calling and sharing, and
hopefully you didn't follow that advice.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
No, I'm good. I had no kids, all.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Right, thank you for calling. Hey, Stacy, how are you?
I'm good? How are you?

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (14:27):
Good?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
So the worst advice I ever got was somebody told
me to stay with somebody because they have money and
they were treating me good.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Wow, you were like a sugar baby.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
All right, but he was a barying that.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
God. Well, you know a lot of people do stay
for money.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
I always say finances tolerance and Pepe.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
We actually met.

Speaker 10 (14:49):
I was the one who brung you the copcakes Stacey
some case.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Ah, okay, we got a herdband. We had a little
buds from those.

Speaker 5 (14:57):
Well remember only one of them was the edible.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Everything else is kent front of you. But no, thank
you for shotting me.

Speaker 8 (15:03):
I used to listen.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
To you on the Brophets Club, So for you to
have your own show now, girl, you're doing it.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I'm so proud of you.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
And I don't even know you, but I'm so proud
of you.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Well, thank you, and your cupcakes are delicious.

Speaker 8 (15:17):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 10 (15:18):
Ye have a good day.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
You took justin you want to tell me and be
it out the worst advice you ever got, relationship advice.

Speaker 6 (15:25):
So I had a tower early and then she ended
up getting frigured again.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
She named the town after my brother who was currently Dee.
Come to find out it wasn't my child.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Oh man. So the friend of mine, which.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Is my best perid at the time, told me I
had to leave her. I doubted it, but I did
leave her alone. So I decided to move to Georgia.
And once I moved to Georgia, my exprest friends started danger.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Wow, she was all over the place.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Did you know it?

Speaker 10 (15:54):
You mun't know her, but I don't know that.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
That was bad advice necessarily it was selfish to a vice.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
But you know you did want to leave.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Her, right to be honest, I didn't.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Oh okay, man, now are they still together?

Speaker 9 (16:08):
You have the flat tickets?

Speaker 5 (16:09):
He had a tidy Oh.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
My god, that is wild. I know you want to
fight him. I do, all right, Well, thank you for
sharing with us.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
You're very welcome, y'all.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Thank you. He was like, got him all right?

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Well, speaking of our relationship drama, when we come back,
we got your yet, and.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
We're gonna talk about Daddy Yankee.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
He actually now has to get rid of his label
and will tell you all of the drama behind this,
and it has to do with his ex wife.

Speaker 5 (16:40):
Fam.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
It's way up, Joe, She's about to blow the lid
off this spot.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
Let's get it.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Angela is feeling that yee te come and get.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
The tea, Come and get the tea. Is way up
with Angela.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Yee and b doc good yepy dot's Angela. All right,
let's get into this yet. So Daddy Yankee man, Unfortunately
for him, he had to shut down his label, Cartel
Records Why and that is because his ex wife has
been trying to get the money from the label for themselves. Now,
I've been following this story for quite some time, and

(17:12):
his ex wife and her sister tried to put one
hundred million dollars from the label in their own pockets.
I saw the story also on All Hip Hop. They
also said that Daddy Yankee couldn't access his financials for
more than a year before he took this to court.
A judge did reinstate his full company control in late December,
but he said there was already too much damage.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
And so that's that.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
Once he fought for divorce last year, he wanted the
business records, and that's when he accused his ex wife
of trying to seale that money and also deleting various
records to cover her tracks.

Speaker 5 (17:43):
Try to take the label meals I.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
What speak Spanish ds meal.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
All right, So that's quite unfortunate for him. Damn listen,
who would have thunk it?

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Right?

Speaker 5 (17:56):
Right?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
And he was married for a long time. She was
like in charge of the label.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
All right.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Now, let's talk about Rashida.

Speaker 4 (18:01):
This was a trending and I thought this was a
very mean trending trick. But she's now commenting on it
and kind of feeding into it because she's going to
be performing at one music fest, okay, And I kind
of feel like that's what started this whole thing. But
people started doing this challenge where they were saying, Hey,
I got tickets for us to go to the Rashida
concert and then filming the response from the other person.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Here's an example of what happened.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
I wanted to see do you want to go to
the Rashida concert with me?

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Now?

Speaker 5 (18:31):
Would you want to go to Rashida concert?

Speaker 4 (18:34):
I'm not really I'm just being honest. It takes a
lot for me to go to a concert, period, just
to be honest. Now she did post y'all got me trending,
y'all better be at my concert my Bubba Gunna marry
me lys to the Moon, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.
And I want to point out the only reason I
didn't report this earlier because I did think it was
a mean challenge that people were doing.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
But now she's commenting on it, so you know, she's
embracing it. Yeah, she's embracing it.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
And she's on the festival, and she's on Love and
Hip Hop Atlanta and she's had a long career, right,
all right, Now, Jeezy recently was going to Baltimore for
his show. You know, he has to say that everybody
is so excited about where they're doing these like with.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
The band Dimona one anniversary.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
And apparently there were all these flights that were canceled
to Baltimore and DC because of the weather. So he
was trying to get there to do his live tour
and it just wasn't happening. There were all kinds of
things that went wrong. Well, eventually he ended up getting
an uber driver to take him.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
His name was Tanner, and it was a ten hour drive.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Ten hours, Yeah, a ten hour drive and he got
there ten minutes before showtime.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
So Jez did give his driver a T shirt. Okay,
it was more than that. He told me he was
gonna pay him whatever he wanted.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
Would you drive somebody ten hours, Angela, that's a long trip, man.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
I take.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
I don't think so, but sometimes that's how long it
takes to get home, depending on traffic.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
That's a fact. Especially sometimes it'd.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Be like I've been trafficked so long I could have
been in damn ten hours.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Yeah, but you know you would do it for a
certain amount of money.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
I'm sure, right, I mean maybe.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Yeah, I mean ten hours and then you're a jeezy
kicking it. Yeah, you know you could do a little
beatout carkar karaoke. All right, Well that is your yet
when we come back, we have under the radar. These
are the stories that are flying under the radar, but
you definitely need to know about them anyway, so many
things to talk about.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
It's way UPSI in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
All right, his way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here
with my guy beat out.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Good job.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
That's right, and it is time for us to go
under the radar now for people who thought that Tiny
Desk was about to shut down, because as you all know,
the White House has defunded the Corporation for Public Broadcasting
after fifty years of federal support, they're shutting it down.
And so people were like, Okay, no more of Tiny

(21:00):
that was NPR, that was public radio. Well it looks
like they are still going to keep on doing this,
he said. According to Bobby Carter, who is the producer,
I've heard from many friends, family, and audience members who
are worried that NPR tiny desk is shutting down.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
It is not.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Unfortunately, CPB is shutting down. I encourage everyone to support
public media and donate. I appreciate all the calls, texts,
and messages. They have been overwhelming and heartwarming.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
You can't get rid of tiny dusts man.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yes, it was an executive order that Donald Trump did
where he criticized MPR and PBS for what he said
was political bias and so therefore defunded them.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
Ah free, sesame street Man.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Like, what's a big bird?

Speaker 4 (21:39):
Do you know what I'm saying? All right, now, let's
talk about these giant rats. I know that this is
something that happened in England and I just showed you
a picture of what's going on.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
But there was a rat as big as a dog.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
It was twenty two inches and they're saying it's one
of the biggest ever found in the UK that was
captured in somebody's home.

Speaker 5 (21:59):
Oh my gosh, who do you call? I'm not yo.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
We live in New York City and I'm scared of rats.
That's my only fear. Rodents. I don't like squirrels because
he looks like that's it's only fair yeah, they like
rats with bushy tails.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
I don't like them. I hate him.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Well, people don't understand where it came from, how it
got there, But they're saying now that this is gonna
be something that's an ongoing issue.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
The problem is getting worse.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
I am just hoping this doesn't get here to the
United States because I don't know what I would do.
We already have rats, yeah, they telling all right, well
that is your under the radar. We do have the
Way Up mix at the top of the hour, plus
an amazing interview with Diamond Platinums. You know him from
Young Famous and African on Netflix. He's got almost twenty
million followers on Instagram, ten million subscribers on YouTube. Yes,

(22:44):
he has no joke and he'll be here. It's way
up way.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
She's like a chalk like they a jeal Jean, like
they a jeal Jean.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Man. She's spilling it all. This is yee te way.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
All right, his way up with antele yee I'm here,
my guy beat outs here.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Good job be do yo, good job? Beat ot you
a trip burrito?

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Hey yo?

Speaker 3 (23:04):
That fast?

Speaker 5 (23:04):
Goodness great hungry?

Speaker 4 (23:06):
All right, Well, let's get into this yet. Bousy has
made peace with accepting a plea deal. That's for his
gun possession case. He was originally charged back in twenty
twenty three, and he posted just accepted a plea from
the federal government on my gun case. I thought this
case was over and I was going to get on
with my life. But God don't make mistakes, and I'm
tired of fighting. Talk to my family, and this is

(23:27):
the right decision. To all my fans across the world,
say a prayer for your boy and go get the
new album.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
Man, that's the hell of a promo, right there.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
A promo for what say, a new album. Oh, that's
the type of promo you want.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
But he is tired of fighting, so he's like, you
know what, let's just go on ahead and do this.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
So we gotta do now.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
I know you're excited for this movie, the highs and
the lows.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Yes, I'm a big Denzel Washington fan.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Okay, all right, Well we actually do have the trailer
that drop yesterday.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
And here's a little snippet from Max vis to life.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
They just make it money integuity.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
That's what you stand for.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Time this son, I got your full attention.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Now you're finally listening to him.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Somebody's that treat. Somebody's kidnapping our sons.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Seventeen five million dollars in the old.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Flack joint pros and think I'm clean?

Speaker 5 (24:21):
I got.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
All right?

Speaker 4 (24:24):
I should just go highest to Lois. Why do I
see the has adnother? That was the album? That was
an album? But yes, that's the first official trailer that
reunites Spike, Lee, and Denzel for the first time since
Inside Man they came out back in two thousand and six.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Asap.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
Rocky's in this also, and so is Jeffrey right by
the way. Okay, just letting y'all know Ice spices in
it too.

Speaker 5 (24:46):
Oh boy, what was that for?

Speaker 3 (24:49):
What was that for?

Speaker 5 (24:50):
Hopefully she acts better than she wraps?

Speaker 4 (24:52):
All right, So anyway, speaking of women, hopefully you don't
have a problem with this one. Sexy Red is still
single and she had posted I'm kid free. Who trying
to I can't say f Okay? Can I say the
way she spelled it? Okay? All right, well she's trying
to f you know what I'm saying. She's looking photo host.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
But she did say her team made her take the
post down. Here's what she said.

Speaker 10 (25:19):
Big singles who heard come, that's all ready I am.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Yeah, I'm going to pass on that.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Yeah, well, Adrian Browner is not. He definitely was sliding
up on the under the post. But she said, I'm
still single and vulnerable gentleman, and she said, play with me.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
I'll show him. I'm my mama and daddy daughter b.

Speaker 6 (25:38):
Talk about lord expectations who both sexy read is looking
for it up looking?

Speaker 3 (25:45):
And lastly, I've seen this on TMZ just now.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Bill and Hillary Clinton have been subpoena by the Congressional
Committee and the Jeffrey.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Fstein prob oh Man.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Yes, uh, They, along with nearly a dozen other former
Feds and politicians, have been subpoenaed for depositions, and they
announced that Hillary will testify on October ninth, followed by
Bill on October fourteenth.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
Wow, yes, I saw you want to listen to Angela?

Speaker 4 (26:12):
Never not. I I haven't been on no lists. I
have been in no Freakovs. I am been nowhere. I'm
just surrent work at all times. Angela, all right, when
we come back. We got asked yee eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty as a number call it's up.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
Any question you have We're here to help.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
That's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty Ask
Yee is next?

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Here are going? Everybody? Since with it's relationship for career advice?
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
You should know.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
This is ask gee what's up his way up? With
Angela Yee? And I'm here with my guy beat.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
I yes, I am you ready to get some advice?

Speaker 5 (26:46):
Be that I'm gonna my best, all right.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
I can't wait to hear what you have to say.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
We have a voicemail today from one of our family
of Way Up listeners, and here's what you had to say.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
I do have an X.

Speaker 9 (26:56):
That I have been dealing with. And crazy thing is,
I've been coming back to me, But the girl.

Speaker 10 (27:02):
That he's been dealing with, she keeps confronting me and
not confronting him, and she's calling me.

Speaker 9 (27:08):
All types of B words, but she's not confronting him.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
And my dad.

Speaker 10 (27:12):
Thin's a wrong.

Speaker 9 (27:13):
Like sometimes I entertain him coming back to me, but
sometimes I don't. Because one time I did entertain him
coming back to me, and I got my opportunity for
a new job snatched away from me, so I had
to cut him loose. So should I keep him around
or what all right?

Speaker 3 (27:32):
So I'm gonna ask you first, beat at what are
your thoughts?

Speaker 6 (27:35):
I mean, sometimes we spind the block, you end up crashing,
and this seems like to be a perfect example of it.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
And this is how I look at it, as a
woman who knows what it's like to have somebody just
kind of it feels like he's leading her on and
he's like messing with her, but he also has another girl.
Of course, the girl is calling you up mad. You
know about her, you know about her existence. She should
be mad at him. That's what always happens, right, But
you're in this situation with your eyes open, so you

(28:02):
know he's doing this. You know the girl is going
to get mad and call you. You know he ain't no good.
You also still keep going back to him.

Speaker 6 (28:08):
She shouldn't be surprised, right, like, oh my gosh, his
girlfriend's calling me.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
And then the fact that she said and I don't
know what the situation was about her losing a job,
but anything that has to interfere with you leveling up facts.
If the man is messing that up for you, or
you feel like something with him cause that to happen,
that is not the right person for you.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
You can't mess up the money man mess around and
be unemployed.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
And it just feels like you keep on giving him chances,
but he is disrespecting you. The fact that women talk
to you crazy and I can't say she's not within
her right to be mad at you. I don't know
what she's saying to him the text two, because she
could also be yelling at him and getting mad at
him but still staying with him. You don't know what
that situation is. But you're not protected here and this

(28:55):
does not feel like somebody that is putting you first,
And isn't that what you want? Put that woman first.
That's some great relationship advice. So I would say, yes,
get out of there, cut them off, get your life together.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
This says, all right, get on these dating apps?

Speaker 7 (29:12):
All right?

Speaker 4 (29:12):
Well that was ask ye eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty if you couldn't get through and
when we come back now, I don't know if I
would take dating advice from this guy.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
But Diamond Platinums is going to be joining us.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
You know him from Young Famous and African, but you
also know him as an award winning artist and the
first ever artist in the continent of Africa. To have
ten million subscribers on YouTube is way up.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
In no beg we about to do this one of
lemos to train this women in radio idiom.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
We're talking about Angela Ye. You're way up with Angela Yee.
Please believe that what's up?

Speaker 4 (29:44):
His way up with Angela Yee And I am not
as way up as this guy. Diamond Platinums is here
with us. Thank you for joining us today.

Speaker 7 (29:50):
It's my pleasure to be here.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
You are truly a multi hyphen it though, because you
have so many amazing things happening, you know, just from
the music, from being a business owner, CEO of a label,
you know, starring on a hit Netflix series. I mean, young,
famous and African you on there. You're definitely entertaining.

Speaker 7 (30:09):
Life is too short, so many people to be entertained.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Well, you're from Tanzania. I saw you getting your recent
plaque from YouTube. Yes, for having over ten million subscribers.

Speaker 11 (30:20):
Yeah, like that's made me the first African artists to
have them. So it's like I'm the most subscribed African
artist on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
I mean that's amazing. How do you think we got here?

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Sometimes people will think, oh he was born rich, but
that's not your story.

Speaker 11 (30:34):
Yes, I grew up in Tandali, one of the poor
and slam area in very slim times. And now I
was just raised with my mom, a single mother. Fortunately
my father abandoned me when I was kid. When I
was young, I used to love music and then started
to sing. I couldn't afford to go to the studio.

(30:56):
So I remember my mom gave me a good dream.
So my brother told me to school.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Shut out to your brother helping your dreams.

Speaker 11 (31:03):
Yeah, it's my DJs with numbs RG And we did
that and I went to record, but you know, the
first song.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
It's never gonna hit like yeah, not enough experience and
all that.

Speaker 11 (31:14):
After my first gilt friend book My Heart, I went
to write a song sco Come on Beer.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
After dropping that song, it become a hit song.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Thank her.

Speaker 7 (31:22):
Yes I do, and I forgot everything changed.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
Right now, I'm talking to Diamond Platinums, the start of
young famous and African. Now, I know you said that
you didn't know your your father didn't help raise you.
Did he try to reach out to you after all
of this happened.

Speaker 11 (31:36):
Yeah, yeah, you know that's hows how it is like
then after that started doing a lot of interviews this
is my son, and then.

Speaker 7 (31:45):
Now the crazy part and the crazy story and to
found out like he was on my rebad.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
What yeah, so he made that up?

Speaker 7 (31:53):
Like in your life was a lot of surprises.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
How does that affect you when you think about your
kids too, and being like the father that you are.

Speaker 11 (32:02):
First of all, I have kids, but I also know
the summer of my kids.

Speaker 7 (32:09):
But I don't want to argue with the mother and or whatever.
I take care all of them.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
But you have five right, four.

Speaker 11 (32:15):
To five five four five of us? You know, as
I say, like these things sometimes it can get crazy.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Why not find out? Then?

Speaker 7 (32:23):
Yeah, I went, I didn't want to name in Tanzania
and so.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
You know already okay complicated.

Speaker 7 (32:31):
And you know when you gotta separate.

Speaker 11 (32:32):
This is something people don't understand, like it's more wise
anymore makes sense if you separate with your the mother
of your kids, to let the kids stay with the mother,
because no matter how much you love your kids, there's
no you can take a good care of them than
their mothers can do.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
Right, What about when she moves on and you have
to deal with that?

Speaker 11 (32:49):
You see, if the mother of your kids moves on,
it's more better because now she becomes your friend, because
now if she really moves on, there's no way she
can give you a guilty Yeah.

Speaker 7 (33:00):
Yeah, me, I'm very cool. Oh my baby mamas. They
left me to you and like I'm the due present
of them. A minute. Yeah, you go to friends sometimes
their men. They get minded me thinking maybe we have something. No,
we're gonna have something. We've got nothing doing on.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
It's just decided to get you wanted to. You could
definitely all right.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Diamond Platinums is here. He is the star of Young
Famous and African. He's also a multi award winning recording artists,
label owner, executive jet owner, all the things. We got
more with him when we come back. It's way up
ye yee.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
But you're all being waiting.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
For you're tapped in the way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
What's up his way up with Angela Yee? And this
is the first we got Diamond Platinum from Young Famous
and African?

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Here with us?

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Are you in the.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
Middle of filming season four? Also in the midst of
all this, so you are back on season four?

Speaker 7 (33:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Yeah, So now I got to ask where you and
Fantana stand because we've seen all this news out and
you guys have you know, it felt like this was
going somewhere. That was your girlfriend on the show, but
clearly now. So she put up a post also saying
that she'll never forget her. But where do you guys
stand now?

Speaker 7 (34:12):
Me and me and Fantana is very cool, but Sushi.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
Was your artist. She put out amazing songs. Just now.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
We saw you guys on the fastime, Amanda, Yes, and
so people were thinking that she caught you, you know,
somebody was calling you in the middle of the night.
Turns out it was great promo. But you know, throughout
the show you were asked, are you guys dating? And
you were like, no, that is not my girlfriend. That's
my artist.

Speaker 11 (34:31):
So you know, at the show or there I was,
I was up to someone. He would I say, yes,
I was cheating. No, but yeah I was cheating then okay,
And then how would you expect me to agree that yeah,
I have someone? But that's so when she asked me,
I said like, no, that's my artist because.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
I loved you, right, you and Zusha are both from.

Speaker 11 (34:53):
Yes we are together. And but when Fantana asked me
about it. I had toe. You know, sometimes you need
to have sweet tok. If you say like, yeah, that's
my girlfriend.

Speaker 7 (35:01):
Yeah she gave.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
Mod just graduate, but you lie like yeah she's like I.

Speaker 7 (35:08):
Was about because lest otherwise I've lost her. So I
had to lie.

Speaker 11 (35:13):
And she was like, oh no, no is she I said.
I know she's been artists. She's not my girl friend
and all that. That's how life is.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
Did she start off as just your artists and then
become your girlfriend or wish you your girlfriend when she
was your artist because I know she worked under you
for years.

Speaker 11 (35:27):
No, she was my artist and feelings started generating slowly, slowly, slowly.

Speaker 7 (35:32):
We just found ourselves in love.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
See I love that for you. Is she going to
be on the new season?

Speaker 7 (35:37):
Nah?

Speaker 11 (35:38):
She doesn't want And this is what I told her, Like,
and I told him as well, if I'm going to
have you in the show, then I'm gonna have to
behave and to be like very Yeah that's the fact. Okay,
if she's in the show, then I must be fully committed.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
You're like the Tanzanian future.

Speaker 7 (36:00):
No, no, like in terms of music, yeah, yeah, let's.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Say that right now.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
I'm talking to Diamond Platinums, the start of Young Famous
and African. When's the new album coming, because I've read
that it's going to be your most personal.

Speaker 11 (36:13):
I'm working on that now and I've got a lot
of songs and I can't wait. I'm super excited. Are
on different songs. I've done a lot of songs with
people from here as well.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Yeah, sounds, but I think neo I've done so we
need Neo Alicia Key.

Speaker 7 (36:28):
Shay Keys as well.

Speaker 11 (36:28):
I was an Alaki's album I did with Riki Roles
as well, h Marion Wygi's album and Elit Chop. I
have a song together, song with swell Ly, working something
with Sierra.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
Oh you're gonna do something with Sierra. What what made
you decide now was the time to get married?

Speaker 11 (36:44):
It just kim like say, like, I don't think if
you you plan those things, it just happened and you
feel like, you know what, Yeah, I need to do this,
And I call my mom, I said, like, Mama.

Speaker 3 (36:53):

there and vote today. As a matter of fact, for
last word, here's Mary Sheffield, who is running for mayor.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Hey Angela, Hey, how are you. How's it going in
Detroit today?

Speaker 10 (38:06):
It is going good. We you know, a little flow,
a little flow on the ground. And that's why I
really wanted to encourage Detroiters to get up, get out,
let your voice be heard. This is the first time
in twelve years we have the opportunity to elect the
Loo mayor. And I think everyone can agree that we've
seen a lot of progress Detroit, but there's still so
much more work to be done. So let your voice

(38:28):
be heard. People are predicting about a thirteen and eighteen
percent turnout, which is really unacceptable. So we got to
we gotta get excited. We got to get involved. If
you care about affordable housing, if you care about good
libabal ways, jobs, if you care about your neighborhood being redeveloped,
in public safety, these are all things that impact our
policy of life. So we got to have a mayor
that cares and values on things. So please get out

(38:51):
the vote, Detroit.

Speaker 4 (38:52):
Yes, you still have an opportunity to make sure you
are involved today as the primaries, and like Mary Sheffield said,
you know I always say you can't spell mayor whatever.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Mary, and so just the work that you've been doing
thus far.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
You know, I've always been just admiring everything that you've
been doing in the city, and so we just want
to make sure, no matter what it is, get out
there and make sure you vote. You're right, those numbers
are really low, so you still have an opportunity to
change things around Detroit.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Get out and vote.

Speaker 10 (39:19):
Yes, Get out to vote, y'all.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
Let's get it done.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
All right, Well, thank you for that last word, and
I love you guys. We see you tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (39:25):
