Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yo, it's way up with Angela yee. What day is it? Monday?
Speaker 4 (00:14):
You were doing all kinds of Chicago things over the weekend,
and we'll talk about that. But joining us on the
show today, I'm excited for. This is Havoc from Mob
Deep and Alchemist and their album Infinite came out last
week and so I see a lot of people saying
great things about it. I've listened to. It is very
nostalgic for me. It sounds amazing. I like when artists
(00:36):
don't try to step out of what it is that
we know them for and be something that they feel
like is marketable today, because I feel like it still
feels Mob deep ish. Yes it does, but it's current,
you know what I mean. And we went to the
release party for that, so that was a vibe. So
that is they're going to be joining us today, and
that's Mayno's favorite group. He loves Mob Deep, so he
(00:57):
had to make sure he was here. He had to
take expedition to get here. If you saw that on
social media, you know what that means, all right? Well,
of course, we got to start to show off with
some love and some positivity. That means you get to
call up and shine a light. Eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Is a number. I know you want to shine a
light on somebody, Tello, Yes, I know.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
All right, when we come back, you get to shina light.
Chella's going to shine light.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
It's way up.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
I'm turn your lights on, y'all. It's spreading love to
those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Shine the light on them, Shine the light on them.
It's time to shine a light on them. Yo.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
It's way up at Angela yee. I'm here with my
girl Ciella and Age. Y'all just heard some Kanye. We're
doing all kinds of Chicago things and honor Tella being
here today.
Speaker 2 (01:45):

So not only do Chicago had a best food and
they have me, but we got the funniest people too.
Speaker 6 (01:55):
So Burn Paul.
Speaker 7 (01:55):
He's from the projects like me, and he started out
like doing skits and stuff like that, but he is
really turning up in a stand up arena.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
So shout out to my boy burn Paul. We proud
of you. I love you, and.
Speaker 7 (02:07):
I just can't wait to see him laugh this Friday
in Chicago.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
You know, I think it's a real skill to be
able to go from doing viral things on social media
to being able to do stand up for real in
front of an audience that is, you know, honestly, real
real work. And so when the people do it, you
have the audience, you cannot go out there and disappoint.
Speaker 7 (02:26):
I met him, yes, yeah you did at my party.
He was the one who was acting like he can't
want to say nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah, he's a little nervous. Yeah, but I feel like
he's ready.
Speaker 7 (02:33):
He is ready, and I cannot wait to see him.
So I gotta go get my tickets today.
Speaker 2 (02:38):

You're like, all right, you said, thanks for the compliment.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But no, that ain't me.
Speaker 6 (07:23):

sure you know, it's Halloween time, so this month is
supposed to be like a whole lot of scary movies
on TV. And so oh the other thing, I finally
saw The Conjuring the Last Rites, So I've actually rented
(09:17):
that because now it's available on streaming services. I've been
meaning to do that, so I finally had a chance
to see that. Definitely was good, Definitely was scary. The
point of this one is this is the last case
that they took on because you know, these are real
true stories.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
I got to catch up.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Yeah, so actually have it rented if you want to
watch it at the house later. But it was it
was really really good.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I enjoyed it. But it was the last case that
they took on.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
Before they just only were doing like phone in conversations
and not going in person.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I don't know if that's a job I could do.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
I don't know. But I can't believe you cooked.

get out there.
Speaker 4 (10:28):

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Somewhat like sneaky link?
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Wow, you still want to be with your man even
though he cheated. God, you're single now.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
As very much so well he don't know, but yes.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
But your man don't know that you're single, No, because

Yeah, it sounds like you like the Yeah, you like
that friend.
Speaker 6 (11:46):
You like your god.
Speaker 9 (11:49):
But the friend was always slating me with me what
I was pregnant.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
So the godfather, well, good luck with that.
Speaker 7 (11:54):
Maybe you should just put the energy into that because
it'll never be fixed back with the baby anyway. After
both of them cheated, so they might as well started.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Can you trust someone that would do that to their
best friend?
Speaker 6 (12:06):
No, but you can't trust her. She would do it too,
so they all.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
The only thing is the kid is gonna be like now,
hold on, I thought this was my godfather.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
What's going on here?
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yeah, when it gets to that. So we're still keeping
it low key.
Speaker 6 (12:23):
How old is the kid?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Poor?
Speaker 6 (12:25):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (12:27):
Ikey words keep them in the room.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
All right, Well, thank you for Collingay? What's hyponymous color?

Speaker 2 (12:39):

a secret?
Speaker 9 (12:42):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Hey, hey, well I slept with my friends friend.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
Alright, so your ex girlfriend's best friend? Did you like her?
Or what's your ex?
Speaker 13 (12:52):

Speaker 2 (12:53):
What's your ex? Already? Your Oh? No, there wasn't no
lik just so we was drunk.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
And it gets happened.
Speaker 4 (12:59):
It wasn't know we got feelings like that, like that
was a really one time thing, but it happened.
Speaker 6 (13:05):
Okay, well what happened?
Speaker 9 (13:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (13:07):
Was that your ex already? When you said with her
best friend? Or were you still together?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
No, we hadn't broken up, like three so months.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Woh, that's back.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
I thought she was gonna say years. Right, So of
course she don't know, right, No, she don't know. You
think the best friend always liked you?
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yes, I really do, because we could never get along.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
Whay, nothing like that, take you down, nothing like that.
I don't get along with you.
Speaker 6 (13:30):
Six exactly what you're doing again?
Speaker 4 (13:34):
No, definitely not all right, Well, thank you for sharing,
Thank you ya, you too, She would go back, all right,
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through,
you could leave a message and tell a secret.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
That way, no judgment.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
When we come back, we got to your yeet and
let's talk about den of Kings, a new episode on
Mental Wealth, which makes perfect sense right now, Kirk Franklin
is with Nli Chappa to Jay Barnett, keV on stage,
ray J and Jonathan Major's will tell you some of
the conversations they had.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
It's way up about off.
Speaker 5 (14:06):
This spot, let's get it angelus feeling.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
That yet, come and get the tea, all right? As
way up at Angela yee.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
I'm here with my girl Chella h Man.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
And so dann Off King's you know that podcast that
Kirk Franklin has, right, He recently did one really based
on mental health for mental for World Mental Health Day,
and he had ray J keV on stage, Doctor j Barnett,
Jonathan Major's and Nli Chappa on the on the episode, right,
(14:38):
and so a lot of things were discussed here. Emlie
Chappa is the youngest clearly out of all of them.
And I want to say there was a lot of
conversations like ray J at one point says he hates
church people also were saying how they feel like a
lot of times they're praying, but their prayers aren't being answered.
Here's what Nli Chapa had to say about the Bible
and Christianity.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
People raise the Son more than they praise the Father.
And that's what I don't like because if.
Speaker 10 (15:06):
We are man made in the likeness Jesus is our brother,
why would I drop down and praise my brother instead
of praising my father?
Speaker 6 (15:15):
And that goes back to honoring your parents.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
I just gotta say, sorry, I have you read the Bible.
I read the Bible. I listened to the Bible.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
I would say, read it again, all right now?
Speaker 6 (15:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
It made me feel like I need to read the
Bible again as well. Another conversation. There was so much
going on here, but at one point ray J walked off.
He said he needed a moment to go and smoke
a cigarette, and him and Eli Chappa, it felt like
he was trying to tell ly chapter because Nli Chappa
is discussing how he's been through a lot of different things,
(15:49):
you know, in his life, and he just basically is
saying that he feels like sometimes listening to the ogs
doesn't always makes sense, and ray J was saying the
same thing too, like you listen with a grain of salt.
Speaker 6 (16:04):
Right.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
Well, here is what happened when ray J walked out,
because's trying to explain the NL Chapa that there's a
difference between life experience from what you've experienced at a
young age, but also the amount of time that you've
been here. There's certain things that you know you learn
through time. Here's what happened.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
I can only give what man is willing to receive.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
That doesn't make any sense. But once that does, his
answer to question it down.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I don't feel like your experience. Do you feel like
your experience in the world?
Speaker 2 (16:32):
You can give Jonathans in life if he's willing to receive.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
That's where I am.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I just spoke a serious what.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Do you think about that?
Speaker 6 (16:40):
Though?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Because n Eli Chapa is uh, you know, twenty two
years old and him giving Jonathan Major's advice.
Speaker 7 (16:48):
You know, well, I think it's not just about age.
I think everybody. I mean, of course, the longer you
exist you know more. But you know, some people experience
things and younger age that people old of them don't.
Speaker 6 (17:02):
Old of them don't yet you know what I'm saying,
So they don't hurt. To listen.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
I heard to listen now here is Jonathan Major is
talking about a time because the question that Kirk Franklin
asked was if any of them had ever contemplated suicide.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Here's what Jonathan Major.
Speaker 13 (17:18):
Said, Have you ever been to that space where you
ever thought about suicide as black man.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Absolutely, I was on suicide Watch.
Speaker 10 (17:27):
What brought you to that place isolation, right, ostracism, humiliation, abandonment.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
He also said that that Megan Good, his wife, at times,
would not leave him alone because I guess she understood
that he was really going through some things. Right, all right,
well that is your Yet when we come back, we
have under the radar. These are the stories that are
not necessarily in the headlines. They're flying under the radar,
but you definitely need to know about them. One of
them is about what's happening with these important packages that
(17:57):
are coming in to ups. Did you know that they
can start disposing of these packages and you may never
get your stuff.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
We'll talk about it.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
It's way up position the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela yee, I'm here with
Tella eight. Let's go under the radar. And now UPS
may start disposing of important packages if these parcels can't
clear US customs regulations. Now you know, there's all kinds
of issues right now because of these tariffs, and so
there's new policies when a shipment can't be clear because
(18:30):
of missing information or incomplete paperwork, there's a different way
to handle it, they said. According to a UPS spokeswoman,
in cases where we cannot obtain the necessary information to
clear the packages, there are two options. First, the package
can be returned to the original shipper at their expense.
So imagine you ship out an item, but now you've
got to pay for it to come back to you. Wow,
(18:52):
that's christ And a lot of times places will be
like it's okay, Like, don't even worry about it might
cost more. And second, if the customer does not respond
and the package cannot be cleared for delivery, then they
will dispose of that shipment.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
Huh yeah, they keeping on package.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
Listen, you already know they're like, all right, we got
some here. People will be enough time putting those in
their cars. So there's this recent wave of rule changes
has led to this uptick and parcel stranded at UPS
hubs across the country.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Now.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
UPS does deliver millions of packages on time around the
world each day, but because of changes, we're seeing many
packages that are unable to clear customs and UPS is
quote working to bridge the gap of understanding tied to
the new requirements and remains committed.
Speaker 6 (19:38):
Wow, this is wild.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
I see a lot of people who have like, say,
you have a boutique or you have your own clothing line, right,
and now you're trying to get these important goods, but
the terrors are so expensive that it's costing you way
too much to try to clear it.
Speaker 6 (19:55):
No, that's a fact. I'm having that problem right now.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
Certain stuff I can't even order cause it's like sixty
percent higher.
Speaker 6 (20:02):
People don't understand.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
You know, earlier you asked me where's my Halloween decorations?
I wanted these pumpkins that light up, and they're still
not here. I don't think they're gonna make it in
time for Halloween. Now what am I supposed to just
return it? Do I get my money back? Like it's wild?
Right now, I feel like I can only buy things
if I go to the store and walk out with it.
All right, And today is also Indigenous People's Day. We're
(20:25):
still at work. Of course, people celebrate Columbus Day today,
but President Joe Biden had commemorated Indigenous People's Day four
years ago and another an increasing number of states and
cities have also recognized it. Usually people celebrate Columbus Day.
Donald Trump said he would not follow in Biden's footsteps
and recognizing Indigenous People's Day. He said that Democrats are
(20:48):
denigrating Christopher Columbus's legacy. But right now this is just
the celebration of resilience and also not erasing Indigenous people
and recognizing the painful history that they face and celebrating
their communities.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
All right, well, that is you're under the radar. We
got the way it mixed for you.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
At the top of the hour plus, Havoc and Alchemists
are going to be talking about the new Mob Deep
album Infinite, that's out right now.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
It's way up.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
She's like the Talt like they Aeal Jean like they
angel Jee.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yeat well.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
All right, this way yep, but angela yee. I'm here
with my girl Chilla age. All right, and let's get
into some yet. So Wilet is getting ready to put
out his eighth studio album, Everything is a Lot.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
This, by the way, is going to be on death Jam.
Speaker 4 (21:39):
So this is his first album on Death Jam, and
he's talking about tackling different stresses, life developments and global
pressures that he's encountered in the four years since his
last album that came out in twenty twenty one for
Laren two, and he said, one of the underlying things
is how heavy everything is in the world around me,
my personal life and the industry. I carried all of
(22:02):
that with me and got it out of my system
through this project.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
So yes.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
He did an exclusive with Billboard if you want to
read the full thing, where he kind of discusses what's
going to be on this album. He wants to express
a certain level of vulnerability.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
All right. In the meantime, here is a trailer for
that album.
Speaker 12 (22:22):
You underestimated, so you overthink about how you undervalue, so
you bound an overdrink. So now you under the influence
to be over that because you don't understand how to
overcome this underworld that they oversee. But under no circumstanceship
you go over there.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
That just the walls me.
Speaker 12 (22:40):
You've just been unimpressed and overstimulated. The highs and lows,
I guess.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
He also said it's a blessing to be in the
conversation still, and it's hard to keep people's attention. That's
why his first album was called attention deficit. But it's
even harder now in this day and age where people
are trying to only do what the algorithm tells them to, like.
Speaker 6 (22:59):
I feel every word or what he just rights.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Okay, Wiley, we're excited for it.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Master P in the meantime is explaining why they are
doing this versus celebration. You know it is going to
be no limit versus cash money in Vegas instead of
But you know, everybody was like, why aren't y'all doing
this in New Orleans? Right, it would only make sense
they're all from New Orleans. Well, here's what he had
to say.
Speaker 10 (23:23):
Look at Vegas. That's what some of the biggest fights
happen then. And so this is a historical thing and
I feel like this with us being a celebration and
doing this in Vegas, this will be the biggest ever.
So shout out the cash money no Limit we represent
and we'll see y'all in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Yeah, it's also a complex con that's happening in Vegas,
and that's going to be October twenty fifth.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
So I'm sure the bag was nice.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
Yeah, that explains the location.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
That explains it all right.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Mark Santez was discharged from the hospital and he was
booked into jail, where he did post for a mug shot.
This is all after that altercation that happened over a
week ago. You know, he was formally booked and said
he is grateful to be alive. And here is what
else Mark Sanchez had to say, as he is facing
several charges including battery resulting in serious bodily injury, battery
(24:11):
resulting in bodily injury, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle,
and public intoxication that endangers another's life. That's all for
him allegedly throwing Perry Toll into a wall into the ground.
That man was sixty nine years old. But here's what
he said, Wow, thank.
Speaker 14 (24:26):
Yous, so my recovery and I just wanted to faith
the first responders a show a thing, doctor Mosseler.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
The surgeon, she said, my life.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
Be grateful for that.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Sorry any better, thank you guys.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Recovering slowly now.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Mark Santis, former partner and mother of his son, posted,
I'm aware of the serious criminal charges currently facing my
son's father. My foremost priority has always been and remains
our eight year old son, Daniel. I chose to remind
silent publicly to protect Daniel. We have a Daniel here
we protect as well. Now that everything is out in
the open, my focus hasn't changed. I've always been concerned
(25:01):
for his safety and for what he is exposed to. Sadly,
none of this is surprising to me, So I don't
know what it is.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
That's just how Baddy right.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
And she knows what he's like, and I guess we
are going to find out more. Well, that is your
yet when we come back, ask ye any question you have.
Me and Teller H are here to help you out.

Speaker 2 (25:22):

two ninety two fifty one fifty what's up?
Speaker 1 (25:44):

Speaker 3 (25:45):
What's going on with you?
Speaker 1 (25:46):

Speaker 3 (25:47):

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Why they call you yummy?
Speaker 3 (25:49):

Speaker 1 (25:50):
I guess because I'm chocolate.
Speaker 9 (25:51):
You know what.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Yeah, okay, chocolate yum. So what's your question today for asking?
Speaker 10 (25:57):

Speaker 12 (25:58):
My tause you know, how I could become a better
male figure in.
Speaker 1 (26:02):

their hands up on me?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
How young?
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Ill do know? The lake one?
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Okay? Just how to make sure?
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Yeah, what is it that you're trying to do?
Speaker 8 (26:14):
Though?
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Are you trying to be in a committed relationship? Absolutely,
But the problem is that you're allowing these distractions, right
because it's only a distraction because you're distracted.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (26:25):
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to stop rushing.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
It feels like it's on you, like you're the person
that's kind of leaving the door open for women to
get some yummy.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Absolutely, I mean you know, my mealshap bringing all the
girls to the bar.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Maybe it's not time for you to settle down if
that's not what you.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
Want st outside, ain't no wrong with that?
Speaker 12 (26:45):
Yeah you still yeah, you know, but you know I
also got to close to you as well though, you know,
but sometimes.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
You know, I get all the plagues make a.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Lot you know, don't come in at the right time,
so you live with someone.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Yeah, right now at this moment.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Yeah, oh my god, can she see other people?
Speaker 10 (27:03):

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Okay, do you care about hurting her feelings?
Speaker 8 (27:09):
Absolutely to tea, you know, because I've been good her

Speaker 4 (27:19):
It's hard for you to trust because you can't be
trusted too.
Speaker 6 (27:22):
Yeah, that's what it sound like.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
You, so you know, prepare me and forgive me for
my friends.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
You're making all these excuses of why you're not taking
accountability for your own actions and behavior. Absolutely, I'm gonna
tell you, it's nothing that feels better than not having
to worry about somebody going through your phone, not having
to worry about coming in late at night and getting
into an argument. There's nothing that feels better if it's
somebody you care about, doing what it is that you
need to do for them and making them happy.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
But you know that's a cured you Just something nuts too, though,
you know, because sometimes are like you don't even be
doing anything and people will lead you into the right direction.
I ought to do something because they inf secured you
on they past tent.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Are you blaming her for you doing things because she's insecure?
Speaker 2 (28:16):
And it's making you do things tell a certain extent.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
When is this your fault?
Speaker 1 (28:22):
I mean, it's no my fault.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
Listen, yummy, why don't you try to do right for
one month and see how that goes.
Speaker 2 (28:31):

two fifty one fifty. You can always leave a message
for asking ye. And when we come back, we got
Havoc and Alcohl is here with us, Me and Mayno.
Because you know, Mano loves some Mob Deep. We're gonna
be talking about that new Mob Deep Infinite album that's
out right now.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
People are loving it. It's way up.
Speaker 14 (29:10):
Abouts to play this women in radio audio.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Man, we're talking about angela Ye. You're way up with
angela Ye.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Please believe that what's up its way for angela Ye.
It feels like it's gonna be messy today because Mano's here.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Hey, we've been drinking simples.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Hey, Alchemist is here aka Alan the Chemist, I'm here,
come here, and Havoc is here.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
What is celebration charity?
Speaker 9 (29:31):
Y'all? Man?
Speaker 2 (29:33):
This is amazing, like another classic album. How does it feel?
Speaker 13 (29:38):
Oh man, it feels real good. It feels good. Infinite
long overdue, you know what I'm saying. On the first
album since a Prodigy passed away, Mob Deep has some
unfinished business, you know what I mean, and just wanted
to kind of.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Go out with a bang.
Speaker 14 (29:50):
Mob Deep to me is the greatest two men groop ever.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
That's and I've been on that that happened.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
I mean, classic, classic, classic music.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
It's great to have both of you here today.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
So both of you produced this album fully is either
alchemists are having and what a great combination has always been.
And I want to say with this new Infinite project,
it doesn't sound like you're trying to be like music
that's out today.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
It kind of it feels like a classic.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
My Deep album, like modern but nostalgic still at the
same time.
Speaker 15 (30:23):
Right, he laid out a sound from day one with
Mob Deep, So I felt like when we got together.
I was just following his lead and have always made
the majority of Mob Deep albums. Anytime I would just
come through an add two or three joints.
Speaker 6 (30:35):
That's how we did it again.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Taz Mahaal is a banger.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 15 (30:38):
That was you know for p Like I made that beat,
it was like who else would this beat?
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Before?
Speaker 8 (30:43):
I make this?
Speaker 9 (30:44):
For Pea?
Speaker 15 (30:44):
Every day still I make a beat and be like,
damn in mind for sure, I'd be like Pete would
have loved this.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
I still do it.
Speaker 6 (30:49):
I'm stuck like it's forever, you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
Right now, Maino's here with me and we are talking
to Havoc and Alchemists about the new Mob Deep album,
Infinite that's out right now, and.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
It's just interesting to me. Also because you know how
hip hop is.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
There's people that don't get along with people, but you
managed to like work with everybody.
Speaker 15 (31:06):
It gets sticky sometimes I gotta play play it right,
you know. I just like to be I just always
say I'm like I'm Geneva, you know what I mean.
I try to be Switzerland in the situation and just
like I'm you know what I mean, I'm here to
make music and relationships.
Speaker 6 (31:20):
You know it.
Speaker 15 (31:20):
Sometimes it gets tricky because we're all men and you know,
but I try to be right, even during the time
when damn, I ain't even gonna.
Speaker 6 (31:28):
Tell talk about that.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
I don't want to bring back old stuff.
Speaker 15 (31:31):
But there were times when there was issues and you know,
like NAS and well there was actually it wasn't like
major Funk. But at the time with NAS and P
when they had their little had some issues. That was
when I went to work with Niles on Godson, and
I definitely asked for Pete. I told Pe and and
y'all like, yo.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
You know someone if P would have said, I don't
think I would have.
Speaker 15 (31:55):
And that's because I really rocked with mob deep like that.
We were like family. But yo, P was like, go
make some heat.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
And even you're being from the West Coast people sometimes
but thinking that you were like on the East Coast
side of things, I don't get. But that's what I'm saying, like,
because sometimes it's just who you rock with, sure, and
you can get caught up in something and you'd be like,
I ain't got nothing to do with nothing that happens.
Speaker 15 (32:14):
You notice the streets getting the twine with the music
sometimes and you know you just gotta play it right.
But being down with mom, I was a mom deep
so I could tell you. Various shows were in the
middle of the show.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Close up the equipment, out of here, gotta go.
Speaker 15 (32:26):
It's usually Connecticut, Yeah live, They they get busy in Connecticut.
Speaker 8 (32:31):
It was it.
Speaker 15 (32:32):
Was just and it was shows where we would come
out of the show on the way to the van
and the car pull up there like yo, moms, we
love y'all and just pull out forty five just to
show us that they.
Speaker 6 (32:42):
We would throw over, but we were like, we're out
of here.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
We don't know who is all right? Having and the
Alchemists are here today. Mano of course is in the
building because just like me, that is one of his
ultimate groups.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
My Deep and the.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Album Infinite is out right now. We got more when
we come back. It's way up.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
It's way up with Angelie, let's go. You are a
media maven, right people, you never know what and is
gonna say what's up?
Speaker 4 (33:06):
His way up at Angela yea and My Deep Infinite.
The album is out right now. Rave reviews, we love it.
Mayno's here. We're talking to Havoc and Alchemist Another thing
that I want to talk about is starting off the
album with against the World.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
And putting that song out.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
Talk to me about even because I know everything matters
when it comes to a project like this, right.
Speaker 13 (33:27):
The reason why I, you know, I wanted Against the
World to go first on the album is because there's
a part in the song actually towards the end of
the song with Prodigies like Yo, I love you have
see you on the other side. Even before that, he
comes on saying that you know what I'm saying. So
it's like, you know, it's just it's set you.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
That's the tone that he's on this.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
Yeah, that's the tone.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Yo.
Speaker 14 (33:49):
Man losing the brother, right we all know and lost
p so suddenly yeah, and y'all like the one of
the highest toring groups at that point, did you feel
like you didn't want to do no more mob Deep music?
In one sense, it's like Prodigies not here, mab Deep
is over. But I didn't immediately think like damn, what
(34:11):
am I gonna do with Torn. It just kind of
like happened naturally.
Speaker 13 (34:15):
It's like yeah, you know, like over time, it's like, yo,
let's just go out because if I don't perform shook
ons who's gonna perform it? There's no replacing Prodigy, but
it's just one of those things.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Right now, Mano's here with me and we are talking
to havoc An Alchemists about the new Mob Deep album
Infinite that's out right now.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
Also, NAS is on three songs on this project.
Speaker 6 (34:35):
On Infinite.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
I feel like maybe he was hearing it and be like, ya,
I gotta get on that, Like how did that happen?
Speaker 13 (34:40):
I mean, it's always a blessing to get a NAS verse,
but you know, fortunately we had three songs that he
definitely wanted to get on, and I definitely wasn't gonna
say no.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
Has he ever done three songs on anyone's album before?
I felt like that's a hard thing to get.
Speaker 6 (34:54):
Nas Picks and Shoes is who he wants to work with.
Speaker 14 (34:56):
But y'all always, I mean, y'all had tons of songs.
Speaker 13 (35:01):
Yeah, man, like yep, and even me producing on some
of his projects, you know what I mean? So you
know family Tree Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely definitely a family Tree.
Speaker 6 (35:11):
That was a song was.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, okay.
Speaker 14 (35:25):
You produced that with me?
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, we gotta This is what happens even unlesson you
got you got so much you forget.
Speaker 13 (35:42):
That's that Jesus, Jesus.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
But congratulations, we appreciate it. Thank you so much for
coming through Infinite. The tour is happening with Ray Kwan,
the album with Method Man. You know you're on tour
right now with Gibbs. Yes, anything with Erica. What's going Okay?
