With me, hey back in the building like I never
left man.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
When I tell you, Donelle Rawlings, he's going to be
here again today with Javanta Roberts.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Now.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Javanta has been working with don Now forever, but she's
also was in Beauty and Black and now she's going
to be starring in a new series as.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
A series regular. Love that for her to the game nice.

Speaker 6 (00:37):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
What was her role in She.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Was a wife.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I'm trying to remember where her name was. It wasn't
like a huge role, but she had like a base
no no, no, no no no no.

Speaker 6 (00:50):
That was not.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
But Donell is like the way he is.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
When he wants you to do something, he will hit
you thirty five times already this morning he's been harassing.
He was at my house yesterday and cooked a huge meal.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I ain't ann nor invite. That's all good. That's another story.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
So we'll talk about that in a second, and about
last night. But let's start the show with some love
and some positivity. Let's shine a light. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty call us up. Let us
know who you want to shine a light on. Maybe
when you were younger, you discouraged a young up and
coming journalist, and now she remembers and had a chance
to get some redemption. Shine a light eight hundred two

(01:27):
nine two fifty one fifty shin, I'm a shine.

Speaker 7 (01:31):
Turn your lights on, y'all lights spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Shine a light on them, Shine a light on. It's
time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
It's way yup. But angela yee, I'm here with Mano.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Waa and let's shine a light today on mac Maine.
He just saved a pair of football programs some going under.
He actually donated. He stepped into support a program at
Harrow Park that's the same field where he and little
Wyne used to play ball back in the day. That's
beautiful and they were about to shut down due to
financial struggles, but he found out and offered his assistance

(02:06):
to make it happen.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
And then he also helped another team in bar Rouge.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
He said, as a kid, my brother Lil Wayne and
I play football and basketball, so it's especially meaningful for
me to give back to my neighborhood. There a program
that provides opportunities for local youth to stay engaged, safe
and focused on teamwork, discipline and achieving their goals. And
he also gave them some new uniforms.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
That's right, that's right, giving back, that's that's the right.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
And I want to say there's a lot of people
now as we're looking at programs being cut across the
board of funderal federal funding on the verge of being
cut in twenty twenty six, it's an important time for
everybody to step up and do what they can to
help a lot of these programs. To keep the kid
we always talk about keeping the kids off the street,
giving them things to do, do something, yeah, protecting them
for the future. All right, So who do you want

(02:52):
to shine a light on? Eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty Oh it's our guy, baby boy, who do.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
You want to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (02:58):
This says soothing the rooms from industry shade to all
the gossip out Angela's spiling that et.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, my guy manos here
and these young thug leaked calls. How is he going
to maneuver through this?

Speaker 5 (03:15):
You think, man, I.

Speaker 8 (03:16):
Just felt like those calls shouldn't be Well no, I
think we probably.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I understand that, but they are. Now, So how do
you maneuver through this? Like what would you do if
you were him?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
It's nothing you really could do, but you got to
own it is what it is. But I mean, listen,
it's jail talk.

Speaker 8 (03:30):
You're sitting there and you borored, you got you know,
you're facing the world like and you just vent and
you're just talking about how you feel. You guys have
been a little bit with your girl, Like, I mean, listen, man,
if they came and got some of my my, my.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Uh conversations and you're not even in jail right yeah,
well let's uh. One of the calls that leaked was
him talking with Mariah the scientist about gloillallah.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
People say.

Speaker 9 (04:01):
Many big watch watch out.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah now, and people were upset about Mariah and they
said she was key keep out say anything wrong like
all right now, Glorilla respond and mind you, this is
the same Amber blowing my phone up to ask what
color my eyes is? Lamo And then young Doug also
said to Gloriala he added her first of all, I'm
sorry to you for my words, and I honestly don't

(04:31):
think you're ugly at all. I was speaking from jail,
just having a hard time with life. I don't like
bashing girls, and hardly ever did I'm sorry to you, Twins.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
That's that's a good thing.

Speaker 8 (04:39):
He did an admirable thing by apologizing to her in public.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
That's the only one he apologized about, because all the
other things he don't care.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
But then that was the one he was like, I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I saw somebody in the comments said when he said
I'm sorry to you, twin, they said.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
So you call her ugly again? People are crazy, and
I saw so.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
So people were posting Mariah and Glorilla on stage together
for Mariah's birthday, and you know all of that, and
then it's just so much.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
Commentary going on around this.

Speaker 10 (05:11):
Now.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Another thing, another call that leaked was him complaining about
Gunner and saying that Gunner was making these young artists
pay him twenty five hundred dollars.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Here's what that sounded like.

Speaker 9 (05:21):
He did a deal where he took their money. He
did some young study me like seventh and eighteen, like
real kids. Nobody and Atlanta heard them. They did. They
did like three four shows in two three years, like
and they showed we like got down five thousand dollars
be laying take goddamn twenty five front of young I'm like,
you know, you signed to me and you make mes
of dollars. I ain't never took a.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
Dollar for you.

Speaker 9 (05:41):
I wonder here would you accept a dollar from these
on board very kids?

Speaker 5 (05:45):
And now I'm not mad at that call.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
No, you know, people are wondering who is leaking these calls,
but apparently anybody can request these calls. Really yeah, the
freedom of information. Yeah, you can pay and request these calls.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
So really yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
So people are thinking that this is like some big conspiracy,
but it could be that somebody is like being funny
knowing that these calls are recorded, knowing that you can
request them and doing that.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
I didn't know you can request those though. I felt
like it was the it was the state doing that.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Well, let's do a deep dive into that check on that.
When we come back, we have about last night. That's
where we discussed what we had going down last night?

Speaker 5 (06:27):
What was you up to?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
I'm forced to tell you what I did last night
because someone will not get off my line until I
discussed it.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Night, so about last night went down?

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Yeah, heat, I'm here with my guy.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Manning, and it's time for about last night.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
What'd you do yesterday?

Speaker 3 (06:49):
It was outside in the ring, stopped at the studio
working on this mix for this new song.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
Oh what's it about?

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Shout out the Lowland Lobby Boys?

Speaker 5 (06:58):
Okay, okay like it?

Speaker 11 (07:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Well, I was at an event for Barrett Media yesterday
their ten year anniversary, So thank you to everybody that
I saw outside. And then after that I went to
Mary Sheffield, who is running for mayor of Detroit. She
had a fundraiser in Brooklyn, so I went to her
event at Therapy Wine Bar, and then I went home

(07:22):
and when I got home, Donelle was in.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
My kitchen cooking.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I wasn't well.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
I didn't even get there till late. I wasn't even home.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
He had been there for hours already cooking, And so
I got home and I also, last time Danelle cooked,
it wasn't good, so I wouldn't have invited. Yeah, so
I didn't know what it was going to be like.
But surprisingly the food was amazing, really, and he cooked
so much food.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
He made it.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
He claims that last time he cooked, he was on
the grill and the grill wasn't working for him, But
it was working for everyone else, but for him it
didn't work.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
So he did redeem himself. So done. I have to say.
The food was amazing.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
He made chicken, he made fish, he made fried shrimp,
He made potatoes, he made Brussels sprouts, he made garlic noodles.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
I did FaceTime you. I was like, where are you?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
But yes, and so of course as soon as you
started cooking, everybody started coming over.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
And that was that. So I'm tired today. I'm tired
today after last night.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
But shout out to my gud Donelle when I tell
you he was throwing down in the kitchen. It was
a mess afterward, and I was trying to clean up,
you know, while it was happening. But that was my
night last night. And you know what else I want
to know?

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Was that a secret?

Speaker 11 (08:33):
All right?

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Is that today that you haven't done? Tell it's a secret.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
And they didn't want me here.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
I was like, you can sing the whip.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
I was so viral.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
It feels like you were ghost riding the whip, all right?

Speaker 4 (10:14):

Speaker 9 (10:15):
But I get so bad.

Speaker 4 (10:18):

gonna do nothing nice for your mother.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
I will, I will do something nice for your Mother'll
come on, man, I'm not all.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Have you ever stolen anything else from her? Or that's
the only time.

Speaker 13 (10:46):
No, that was it?

Speaker 3 (10:46):
You know, that was it all I'm saying, though, my boys,
do something nice for your mother. You only get one
of those, all right?

Speaker 5 (10:54):

Speaker 3 (11:20):

Speaker 9 (11:53):
It was this old lady.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
She said damn, And I was just like, yeah, I
had to tell her what what happened? She's seen thing

Speaker 3 (13:08):
The bathroom was disgusting, but still.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
What he stood up.

Speaker 9 (13:17):
Playing with me?

Speaker 5 (13:18):
All right, crazy, Thank you for sharing. So you're not
alone guys.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
But yeah, but anyway, that was tell us a secrete
eight hundred nine fifty fifty. If you couldn't get through,
leave a message for last word. And when we come back,
we got to your yet, and let's talk about fifty cent.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
He's got yet another new venture. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Sure about the.

Speaker 7 (13:38):
Lid off this spot, let's get it angelus feeling.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
That yet, Come and get the tea.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here, Maino's here
and let's get into this yet. So Randy Moss was
recently on Good Morning America and he was talking to
Robin Roberts about being diagnosed with cancer after experiencing certain symptoms,
and he said he was shocked because he thought he
was in good health.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
And so here's what he said, when did you first
know that something just isn't right?

Speaker 3 (14:06):
I got up a little fatigued, and my urn was
a little dark because like the color of a soda,
like doctor Pepper.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
At some point, viewers even picked up your eye the
jndice of my eyes peers. Yeah, so you know if
your urine looks like that. But I do appreciate when
people can open up like this. He has biled duct cancer.
That's what he was diagnosed with, and he revealed that
in twenty twenty four and he's getting ready to return
to ESPN on September seventh, to by the way, so

(14:35):
on Sunday, getting ready for that.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
So now he's just talking about everything that he went through.

Speaker 13 (14:40):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Important to pay attention to your body though. That's the
main thing that I took from this. If you see
something that you feel like this is strange and not
normal for me, you know, important to go to the doctor.
And he did say it was hard for him to
get help at first because he was used to doing
everything on his own too. All right now, Tabitha Brown,
he was trying to get some advice to entrepreneurs and

(15:03):
people were upset about this advice that she gave. Now
she posted, baby and if things wrong with getting a
job for a little while, you can have a job
while you work on your thing, baby. And here's what
she said.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
This is not to discourage you.

Speaker 10 (15:15):
You got good ideas, your execution is not as good.
Entrepreneurship is not for everybody, and that doesn't mean it's
not for you. But right now, these last few months,
a few years, you know what I'm talking about. It
ain't been working for you, and you're doing a lot
of robing Peter to pay Paul.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
And it's time for you to get a job.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
So a lot of people felt like this was tone
deaf on social media. One woman, I'm tally a kid,
it posted on threads black women are looking for work,
Black women turn to entrepreneurship in response to a forever
racist and sexist job market. A struggling actor turned entrepreneur
fixing their mouth to imply otherwise is disappointing, But I think,

(15:58):
you know, knowing Tapithan how she is, I think her
intention was definitely good. But this does open up the
room for a better conversation too. I think about what's
going on, because you know, one of the main things
that we're hearing in the job market right now is
how many black women are facing. Black women are facing
the most job losses out of any group period, and

(16:20):
so in this time of unemployment and black unemployment and
Black women unemployment, it's just not even easy for anybody looking.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
For work to get it. All right.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Fifty Cent has partnered with Fox Nation. He's going to
be doing a true crime series that starts this September.
It's a brand new TV series. It's called Fifty Ways
to Catch a Killer and that'll be streaming exclusively on
Fox Nation.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
It's a six part series.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
What do you think, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
You will watch it?

Speaker 3 (16:48):
Yeah, I don't know. If it's good.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
If it's good, it's good, all right.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Well, it's gonna give a look into the gripping murder
mysteries and highlight the journeys of law enforcement as they
chase break out. I like true crime, crime and flight.
Mayweather and Mike Tyson have agreed to fight. According to
TMZ Sports, the match will be put on by CSI
Sports Fight Sports and it's going to be happening in
the spring of twenty twenty six, so get.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Ready for that. Feels like they're in different.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Weight classes, but you know, anyway, yeah, that is your
yet when we come back, we have under the radar.
These are the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines.
They are flying under the radar, but you need to
know about them anyway. If you guys are taking ubers everywhere,
you can actually pay cash, but there is a caveat
with that.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
It's way up news.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
It's way up a handy.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Ye I'm here, manos here. No, let's go under the radar.
This sounds like too much drama. Uber is now accepting
cash payments, right, but there's a whole lot of twists
to it, and they're actually piloting this program in major
US cities like La San Diego, Tampa, Andville. So the
way that it works, you select your destination, what type

(18:04):
of car you want, and then you can choose cash
as one of the options under payment method but you
can't use it for trips between eleven am and six pm.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
You can't use it for scheduled rides through Uber Reserve.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Once you choose cash, you can't change your destination, you
can't add stops, and in case you can't pay the
full fare, the remaining balance will show up in the app,
and it may have restrictions if you don't settle it
before the next trip.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
And so it's just a lot of different things.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Like if you accidentally overpay, they said that remaining balance
will be credited as Uber.

Speaker 5 (18:36):
Cash and you can use that for Uber later. That's
a lot yes, no, and I feel like and.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Then you also have to make sure you bring small
bills because of what if the driver doesn't have change.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Right, and that's how you end up paying overpain, right,
and then.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
It can be a credit for you.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
All right, now, the Conjuring, you know there's a new
Conjuring that is out, The Conjuring Less Rights.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
I have to see that last one.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Well, you know, this is the most lucrative horror movie
franchise in history. It's worth over two billion dollars with
spin offs like The Nun the Animal movies.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
I've seen all of these and based off of those.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
And Loraine Warren, right, yeah, and they were a real
life couple. They were professional ghostbusters in real life. Ed
Warren died in two thousand and six. Lorraine Warren died
in twenty nineteen. The Conjuring Last Rights is about a
case where a family who claimed their house was haunted.
There's also various media interviews that date it from the
nineteen eighties. They said a demon was hurting members of

(19:35):
their family that included four young daughters, and it injured
the family dog and sexually assaulted at least one parent.
And it's all in the movie. By the way, you
ever been face to face with a demon?

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Not a supernatural one? All right, well.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
You have.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Kept going, Okay, I'm glad you guys stipped through.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
What what push through?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
All right?

Speaker 5 (20:03):
Well, that is your under the radar. We got the
way up mix at the top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Plus my guy Donelle Rawlings. You know, he's always trying
to make sure that all his people around him are on.
And Javanza Robberts is one of those people. She's already on,
but she's gonna be in a new series. She also
was in Beauty and Black, but we're going to talk
to them. And I believe you met her early on
in her career. Mano, we're gonna talk about it. It's
way up.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
She's like the like they Angela Jean, like they Angela Jean.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yeaty way up.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Yeah, it's way up with Angela yee.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Fall way wait way you already know new.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Meno and let's get into this yeat. So, Charlie Sheen
has two new projects coming out. He has his memoir,
The Book of Sheen that's coming out September ninth, and
he also has a Netflix documentary aka Charlie Sheen, coming
out September tenth, and he's talking about everything he's never
talked about before. He was on Good Morning America, by

(21:04):
the way, and he discussed a period of time in
his life when he was on drugs and he was
sleeping with men.

Speaker 14 (21:11):
And you say sex went hand in hand with your
drug use, it didn't, and wanting to try as you
you framed it quote other side of the menu, why
did you keep a secret for so long?

Speaker 6 (21:23):
It did come with tremendous amount of extortion, And so
at the time, I was just like all right, let's
just just just pay to keep it quiet.

Speaker 5 (21:32):
So I just need to be free of that dang
the other side of the menu. That's a good way
to put it. He said it with the book.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
In the documentary, he wanted to tell his full truth
and own his stories. He didn't want to censor anything. So, yes,
he's had quite the life. Two and a half minute
makes sense.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Yeah, you got stop?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
All right, Now let's talk about Young Thug and more
audio leagues.

Speaker 5 (21:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
I I did a deep dive to see because you
can and request that that there's a reason for it.
But every every place is different as far as their
laws on these recorded phone conversations. But they do say
these all sit on like servers and there's not a
lot of protection, so it's kind of easy.

Speaker 8 (22:13):
Somebody has like a drive of all this, probably three
years worth for his conversations.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
All right, Well, he talked about Young Boy and Jay Cole.
Here's what he has to say about Jay Cole not
working with NBA.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
Young Boy.

Speaker 9 (22:27):
Why be the biggest artist in the world on YouTube?
Why wouldn't Jay Cole do? Is only like, come on,
bir you ain't never in your life hold more recognition work.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Just be on that.

Speaker 9 (22:35):
So I don't like your music or I ain't doing
no no music with you. Man, I don't like y'all.
You won't do songs.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
They won't like the game we in and all feelings.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Nobody has to do a song with anybody that don't
want to.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Thoughts should not be out. These are private conversations.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
I can't wait to them Lobbie Boys tapes drop. No
no phone conversations.

Speaker 6 (22:55):
No, nothing is coming out.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
That's like our conversations. We don't talk about nothing. We
talked crazy, we talked yeah it gets yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Me and you talk great well anyway. In addition to that,
he also talked about Andre three thousand. Now we know
Are three thousand is an Atlanta legend, all right, And
here's what he had to say about him.

Speaker 9 (23:17):
Drek three thousands, you one of the biggest artists in
the world.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
You became one of the biggest artist in the world.

Speaker 9 (23:21):
But you ain't help no about it. You ain't putt
nobody ont now you've vistage. You put us all that
right now. You can't even talk fee me never don't
mean man man it here.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Now you're thinking no, no, I think he still would do.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Well, what do you think if you put out I
don't know some music right now, I think I think,
I mean he put out like these you know, instrumental
albums with no lyrics and it still and went on
tour and everything all right, and you know, just to
wrap things up, I know we didn't get into it.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
But Kays and that also had a globe.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
I mean, I say glorially also had Lotto and Ice
Spice on the stream together.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
They were tourking.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
They did not talk, they did not revire know how
their collaboration came about, though, So I know you guys
have I'm sure I've been seeing all of those clips
floating around. And when we come back, it is a
New Music Friday, so let's get into new music that's
out today. We also didn't talk about Drake and his
iceman everything that's going on, but we do have a
new Drake song featuring Party next Door in Cash Cobaine

(24:19):
for New Music Friday.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
When we come back, miss.

Speaker 7 (24:21):
Way, what it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts,
sho is.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
As ge what's up as we yep, but Angela yee,
I'm here with my guy Mano and it's time to
ask ye. We're going to be giving advice with the
award winning advice giving winning Mano and we.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
Have a Robin on the line. Hey, Robin, what is
your question for me? And Mano?

Speaker 11 (24:41):
So?

Speaker 15 (24:42):
I have actually been working at the same spot for
quite a while now they have me working seven days
a week.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
What type of work is this?

Speaker 15 (24:53):
So I actually make pizzo. I am a manager now,
but we legit I have no one working with us
because everyone's either been fired or quit. We are supposed
to be getting a new GM Monday, but I don't
know whether I should tough it out until.

Speaker 5 (25:11):
We get the new GM or just quit.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
How do you feel?

Speaker 5 (25:16):
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the job.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
What happens when you go to the owners and you
tell them this is too much. I can't work seven
days a week.

Speaker 15 (25:25):
So I've actually went to the supervisor on it and
she's basically telling me to tough it out until our.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
New GM gets there, and that's on Monday. And that's
on Monday.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
They need you just as much as you need that job.
Just remember that you have skills that people would love
to work with you anywhere. As a matter of fact,
if you went on zip recruiter right now and uploaded
your resume, you would probably have a million people trying
to hire you. I think because you do like it there,
you need to set the boundaries for what it is
that you can and cannot do. Five days a week

(25:57):
is a full time job, that's fair. You need to
have time for yourself. You need to have a couple
of days off, right, and you need to let them know.
I feel like I've really like gone above and beyond.
I've been here, I'm reliable, I show up on time,
I do all the things.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Then they need you. What are they going to do
if you're not there?

Speaker 6 (26:13):
They no need to race?

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Yeah, and I also think it's easier to get a
job too when you already have one. So if you
want to try to line something else up, if you
feel like, because that's how you really can go in
and barter for yourself right when you're able to say
I can quit this and walk away because I.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
Have another offer here, what do you want to do
to keep me right?

Speaker 4 (26:35):
You know?

Speaker 11 (26:35):
Because I just want to see I've already spoke to
the new GM and told him, Hey, just to heads up,
I'm telling an entire weekend off once you start, you know,
it was like that's fair.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
Oh well that's good. So that's right.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Set the precedent and make sure you let them know
five days a week is what I'll be doing. And
if you're unhappy, you don't have to be there. But
while you are there, do what you're supposed to do,
work hard, and set your boundaries for yourself. Makes sense, okay, Robin?

Speaker 4 (27:05):
All right?

Speaker 5 (27:05):
Are you okay? What's the matter? Kind of nervous? Honestly?

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Well, I hope this gives you the power that you
need to go in there and just make sure that
you advocate for yourself, that you speak up, but you
do so in a very professional manner. I can already
see that you're the type of person that cares about
what it is that you do, so always keep that.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
All right, Robin, thank you for calling. Well that was
ask ye eight hundred and two nine two fifty. Just
in case you couldn't get through, you could leave a
message and ask me and may no a question that
way And when we come back, man donell Rawlings is
gonna be joining us, and Javanta Robberts is gonna be here.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
She's an actress.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
She saw her in Beauty and Black and she'll be
starring in the upcoming too to the game.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
It's way up. It's gonna turn me up. Here we
go upgain.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
This is way up with Angela. Ye.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
What's up? His way up with Angela yee? And my
guy Donall Rowlings is here.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
I don't want to be called a guy. I want
to be NBA prospect, NBA first bound draft pick.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
First bound draft pick. Yeah, Donelle Rowlings is here, and
Javanta Roberts is here.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
Hey, Jamanta, Hey, now listen.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
I've known Devanta for quite some time and I first
actually met her, like really met her being on your
podcast with you, Donnelle.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
Yeah, she's been we've been rocking for what fifteen to
twenty years, and I've seen her go from a little
girl to a grown woman. Is doing a mother, a
mother mother and the person that I've been believing in
for years, and just to see her blossom into who
she is in film television production. I think she's a
twurk constructor too.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
Oh yeah, I've seen you learning.

Speaker 13 (28:36):
You know, I didn't learn how to try to tell you.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
I learned how to do the Chris.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
Brown he did so did so, Diamanta, talk to us
about your journey because you have dance instructor, choreographer, actress, producer.
Tell us what you got going on. So you know,
I've been in the business for about twenty five years.
I started off dancing with Beyonce, Shakira and Gomez, and
then I ventured.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
Look at that.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
You got to say that like More Night Clear, you
tour the world with the top stars, Missy Elliott, I mean,
the list goes on. And then I transitioned into producing.
So I produced the Donnad Rowling show, co hosted, and
now I'm acting. So I'm excited about I Mom, Beauty,
I'm black on Netflix.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
Saw you on there because you didn't make no announcement.
I just was looking and I'll say, is that too mad?
Because you know I watched that show. Yeah, yeah, I know.
It's It's an amazing show.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
I had an amazing time working with Taler Perry and
now I just booked a series regular for Chew to
the Game. It's a series, so they just did announce
it on Variety in deadline. So I'm really really excited
about that, and stay tuned for more details right now.
My guy Donell Rawlings is here and you know Devanta
Roberts as his co host for his Donall Rowling show,

(29:43):
his podcast. But she's also an actress and she's been
doing this for a while. She's been on tour with Beyonce,
Selena Gomez, everybody.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
For everybody who hasn't read Too To the Game? What
is Too To the Game about? Well, it's written by
Terry Woods.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
It was it was originally a three part series and
now it's produced by Manny Helly and now it's becoming
a series, a TV series. So anyway, so you're a
star and who are you playing? Well, you can't say
that's the thing, Okay, I don't. I don't really know
if I can go Okay, wait, we're not going to yeah,
before it starts.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Yes, they always say.

Speaker 6 (30:17):
It's good to keep things on the loan and just
let them happen. I had this situations like that years ago.
I was the first time. It was first year I
was supposed to be on Law and Order, and I
planned this big Law and Order party.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
I was in New York.

Speaker 6 (30:27):
I had people in DC party and everything, and I
watched the whole episode. I didn't come on right. Oh
you edited out no, No, what it did was they
switched the dates, right. I feel bad about it because
everybody's like, we watched it, watch we thought you lost
weight or something because Jamie Swool they switched the episodes.
But that was just something I told myself, don't get
ahead of yourself to my because you never know planned

(30:47):
the whole party.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
Technically, they didn't announce the cast.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Okay, So vivat Fox is a part of it, and
the original some of the original cast members are so
it seems like I'm more information.

Speaker 9 (30:59):
I let you know.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Dnell Rawlings is here. Plus actress Devanta Robbers is here.
We have more with them when we come back. It's
way out more now what's up his way up at
the Endela Yee, And I'm with my guy Maino. Donell
Rawlings is in the building, Tavanta Roberts. She's an actress.
She's also a professional dancer. She's been on the road
with Beyonce. Now, I know you met Mano a long
time ago as a great host. Yeah, and I think

(31:21):
it's important that we talk about because you were discussing
with him the first time that you guys met, and
I would love for you to sh.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Tell us what happened.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
So this is many, many, many moons ago, right, many
moons ago. I was doing What's pop and donnet around
the same time. I found out What's pepa dot Net
was a website and they would have like pictures and
everything like around the city prey social media, so that's
kind of where you relied on what was happening in
the city. So I had an interview scheduled for Mayo.
I knew a little bit about you, but I didn't

(31:52):
know the questions. And it's not like you were running
around interviewing people before that, right, You're more like a journalist.
This is very I'm very I must have been like
eighteen nineteen years old and this was your first ever celebrity.
This was my first rapper. So one of the questions
was the first question. The first question was what cheetos
do you like? Would you rather hot Cheetos or Cheeto puffs?

(32:15):
And man all goes, what what kind of questions?

Speaker 12 (32:18):
I answer?

Speaker 2 (32:19):
And then he walks off and that was the end
of the interview, And that was the end of the interview.
I was so traumatized by that God and I that's.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
Why when he came into that I saw you shaking
a little the whole.

Speaker 13 (32:32):
Cat stop winning it.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
But you let me tell you it was so hard.

Speaker 8 (32:35):
Fine about that story is the fact that if I
was somewhere and somebody asked me that same question, I'll
probably react the same way.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
I'm so bad, It's okay. I don't want to hear, like,
what kind of questions is that?

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Like that is, but I do I do want to
know now since we're back here. You know Jimanta asked
him the question again. I would love to hear his answer.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Nope, the questions.

Speaker 5 (33:01):
I don't eat neither.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
But I will say in this business, things like that
end up happening. I mean, like, I know you did
kill Tony yes again, and you know you had a
moment when you went.

Speaker 6 (33:13):
Back years ago. I was on Kill Tony, that a
comic roasting men I left off. If you look at
that video and people that yeah whatever, there was a
comedian saying something didn't me leaving. I was on that
show for two and a half hours, right, and I
was just tired of being and I had some other things,
some commitments now, and I just left. They doctor looked
like I walked up For four or five years. Those
kill Tony fans are horrible. They called me the King

(33:35):
of walk Off, crash Off King, Donille Walkins everything and
these trolls and I got to seek some type of
therapy or something because I tried to ignore it. They
were so nasty and they would go to my page.
I would post a core moment. I posted a picture
of me teach my son how to ride a bike,
and one of them trolls went on there talking about

(33:56):
I'm glad his son knows how to ride a bike now,
so it won't be so hard to take him when
his dad walks out of his life.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
WHOA.

Speaker 6 (34:03):
They was going hard, but I went back. We did
three hours with myself, Tony Henchcliff, Rob Schneider, and a
shout out to my guy Adrian Washington, who got to
do that bucket pull by No means that I'm like
disrespecting the show because it's one of the only shows
that give comments a platform to be seen. I know
that I was funny for two and a half hours
straight and it was a good time. So for the

(34:23):
people that just want to talk to ash about kill Tony,
I went on the show and I killed Tony.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Well, thank you so much for coming an, I cannot
wait for all the full news to break so we
can lift you up and talk about it.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
All right, you can watch that feel interview with Donelle
Rowlings and Antavanta Roberts.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Somehow, Mano, you're a part of everyone's story.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Yep, seems that way, all.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
Right, But when we come back, it's your show. So
you have the last word. Pack up the.

Speaker 7 (34:48):
Phone, tapping it gets your voice heard.

Speaker 11 (34:52):
What the word is?

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Here's the last word on Way Up with Angela? Ye,
what's up?

Speaker 5 (34:57):
His way up at Angela? Oh, man Mano not talking
about you on none of these tastes. Stop it. I
don't know what we would do.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
It is.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
It is horrifying, And I know he's probably thinking about
things he said and talked about, like oh if they got.

Speaker 5 (35:12):
Did you do?

Speaker 3 (35:13):
If you know that these things is rolling out every day.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Every day, and you know what's going to be bad?

Speaker 2 (35:18):
If he was talking to like just say Mariah, he
was talking to another woman and like that would be devastating.
I was thinking about all the worst case scenarios. Can
you imagine?

Speaker 3 (35:29):
I don't even think about that.

Speaker 5 (35:31):
What if he was having phone sex with somebody else?

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Crazy?

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Well anyway, hopefully not. Thank you so much to die
Now Rowlings and Javanta for joining us today. Mike Advanta,
make sure you check out Javanta Roberts on Beauty and
Black and she's got a new show that she's going
to be starring in. It's called True to the Game.
We love that that book too, by the way, But again,
y'all have a great weekend. You guys, this is your show,

(35:56):
so you have the last word.

Speaker 12 (35:59):
I did a naked picture to my baby dad's dad
two weeks before his dad died because my baby daddy
is a dabby, so I feel like it was the
right thing to share a little love and positivity to
his dad before he passed LA.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
That's my secret.

Speaker 12 (36:16):
Thank you coming.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
My name is Jay from Bama. I like to turn
and light on my mother. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
She's the country girl from Obama as well. She's getting
her home health care business off the front. So I
just want to sign a light on her for I
always been an educated, positive black woman who showed me
what I could have and what I could strive and

(36:39):
that's the tame to be. So yeah, thank you, Angela
