Speaker 2 (01:56):
So when I was in Detroit, I was staying at
this hotel called the Roost, and at the lobby bar,
there was a young girl working. Her name is Mia
Simone and apparently she's a singer. Now you know, people
could tell you I'm a singer, I'm this, I'm that.
So she was talking to my guy Meek, and I
guess she told me say she sings. She gave him,

(02:16):
you know, her Instagram page, and so then we went
and looked at her music and her page and it
sounds really really good. And we've actually been playing this
song nine stuff. I played it for you. What do
is you think?

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I thought it was great?

Speaker 7 (02:27):

Speaker 3 (02:27):
It sounds special, sounds polished, like it booms on the
radio already.

she sounds really really good, sounds like a press. And
I don't even know her, but I was impressed. So
Mia Simone, we shine a light on you. Her instagram
page is it's Mia Simone. If anybody wants to follow
her and show her some love. Now, who do you
want to shine a light on? Eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty Cassie? How are you?

Speaker 7 (03:06):
I'm good?

Speaker 2 (03:07):
How old are you?

Speaker 7 (03:08):
I'm fourteen?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Okay, fourteen? Who would you like to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (03:12):
Some of my friends that are going back to school,
and I know they're going through a tough time right now.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Oh that's so beautiful and so sweet. Your friends are
going through it and you want to send them some love, yes, ma'am.
And do you know what you want to be when
you get older?

Speaker 7 (03:25):
A cosmetologist?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Okay, I already knowing what you want to do. Well,
you know what, You're already a beautiful person on the inside,
so that cosmetology is going to bring that out even more.

Speaker 7 (03:34):

Speaker 2 (03:36):

Speaker 7 (03:37):
My sister would like to shine a light on somebody too,

Speaker 7 (03:43):

Speaker 7 (03:49):

boyfriend is dad boyfriend? Okay, we're gonna let this happen.
How long has that been your boyfriend?

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Three months or you're actually.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Three months or a year? And why would you like
to shine a light on him?

Speaker 7 (04:03):
Because he's always there for me when I need him,
and he doesn't judge me or anything, and he just
likes me for who I am.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Do your parents know him?

Speaker 6 (04:13):

Speaker 8 (04:14):

Speaker 3 (04:14):

you guys for calling you and your sister.

Speaker 7 (04:20):
Thank you, Missy.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Take care all right. Well that was Shina Light eight
hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you
couldn't get through, you could leave a message in China
Light that way. And when we come back, we got
your y E T. And let's talk about Chantal Christie. You
know she was on with my guy, Carlos King, and
she had a lot of things to say about her mother,
Jackie Christie. I know you can't wait. Beat that. I
know you love basketball wives.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
It's way up, they say in the rooms, from Industry
Shade to all of gosp out send Angelus feeling that
Yetta on.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
His way up. I'm here with beat that.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Good job, beat that man.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
So let's see what's gonna happen with this did he trial?
Federal prosecutor are now responding to Diddy trying to get
out right while he's waiting to get sentenced and he
so basically, what prosecutors are saying is that they believe
that his response that his crimes reflect aggravating, not mitigating factors,

(05:18):
and they want to justify his continued incarceration, Diddy had
said that he's just a john. He's not the one
that participated in having sex with these male escorts. He
only watched and his ex girlfriends are the ones that
had sex.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Well.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
They said that ignores the fact that he transported individuals
for the purpose of prostitution on hundreds of occasions over
the course of decades. And they also said he did
ply Cassie and Jane with Jane do with drugs to
make sure they would participate in marathon freak off sessions
while victimizing them through his violent outbursts. So they said
he should not be released on a fifty million dollar

(05:53):
bond because he does pose a danger and he has
a history of violent behavior. And they also say he
is a flight risk. They say that he might just
take off since he's facing a lot of jail time.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
There's no way out for DIDDI. For real, man, this
guy's over and everything. But his pin number fifty million
dollars and they're still saying.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
No, fifty million dollars. If he can just get out
the country and go somewhere else where, there's no extradition.
They don't got to send him back for his jail time.
I could see him forfeiting that to go live somewhere
else extended stay all right, what do you think is
gonna happen?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I think he's gonna have to do his time, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Now, Damon Dash, in the meantime, is one step closer
to ending his legal battle for eight hundred thousand dollars.
That's the debt that he owes. And so he has
partially complied with the court ordered asset seizure. And this
is all from a copyright infringement defamation lawsuit for that
Dear Frank movie Damon Dash, according to joshuab But, the

(06:48):
filmmaker said he exited the project over production disputes and
attempted to sell the film under a different title. He
also says that Damon Dash falsely portrayed himself as the
director and owner of Dear Frank. So he has now
partially sold off some things to pay that off.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I remember when Dame Dash was a cakaholic. Now he's
eight hundred thousand dollars in the hole, Like.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
How did we get here?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I do feel like he's been down, he's been up.
He's been down, he's been up. So let's see how
he builds this back up again, right right, all right now.
Chantal Christy was recently on Carlos King's Reality with the
King podcast and he got the exclusive where she does
take accountability for the fight that she got into with
her mom on Basketball Wives. It got physical and on

(07:32):
the show a lot of women were taking her side.
But then when they saw the footage, we saw people
like ming Lee backtracked on what she thought. And here's
what Chantal Christy had to say.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
You hold full accountability absolutely.

Speaker 9 (07:43):
When I got to that door, I could have and
should have turned around and walked out of it when
I seen in real life, You're not going to take
accountability right now to the outside world, we both look
like fools for the first time in my life. I'm
tote to told with who I feel like was my
first bully and I'm not back and down.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
That's crazy. We can call your mom a bully.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah, And she also says, because there's this meme going
around where it looks like Chantell got Molly wopped, like
you can see and this everybody's been posting it. I
know you see that's yeah, Okay, Well, she says her
mom didn't connect here's what she said.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Did she make contact with you? She didn't.

Speaker 9 (08:17):
She pushed me into the camera like she she bawled
up her fist and kind of tried to like she
was aiming for my head. But because I ducked out
the way, I fell into the camera. Man, that's how
the finger ended up bleeding.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
And just for the record, she also said that she
and her mom have not spoken since this fights. Yeah,
all right, well that is your yet when we come back,
we have about last night. That's where we discussed what
we did last night. There was like flash flood warnings.
I mean, it was a mess out here, but we'll
talk about it. It's way up.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
So about last.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
All right? His way up with Angela. Yeah, I'm here
with my guy. What did you do last night?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
I ain't too much. Try to stay dry. You know,
the rain was crazy, but for the most part it
was just busy. Book my next guest for my interview series.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Cover line, Who's next? Us like jid oh, that's a
nice one.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yeah, man, So right now he's up next.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
And right now if you go on my YouTube page,
you can check out my interview with Primo Rice.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Okay, we like it. Yes, we like it. Well, yesterday
I was first of all, it was we were supposed
to have an event in my coffee shop. It got
postponed because there was flash floods. Oh yeah, and it
was pouring raining. I mean it was bad. I had
to walk to the car. Now me, I try to
get my little steps in every day. So I parked
like ten blocks away. I know, Yes, I walked to

(09:37):
the car and it was raining so badly. But when
I got in a car, I was actually having a
conference call. So one of my homegirls, and I know
she's gonna do something on this at some point so
I can tell you all about it. But she's been
having a really difficult time where she's been literally bleeding
for like forty days whoa you know, for her period
and that's so yeah, but things like that, like we said,

(10:00):
and you know, Coach Jesse comes up here a lot
and talks about how that is not normal. She's been
going to the doctor. The doctor basically just put her
on birth control like that's gonna help it, and it hasn't.
You know, that can make it even worse. And so
I put her on the detox. Now I linked it
with Coach Jesse, and she said, within three days she's
already seen like so much improvement. It's a lot lighter,
and she's finally feeling like there's gonna be some type

(10:23):
of light at the end of the tunnel. So I
was having that conversation with her, and I was just
really happy because there's different things that I'm involved in,
like ventures outside of here. But when I started when
I met Coach Jesse and then I started working with
her on that, just to see like the amount of
women who are going through different things when it comes
to fibroids, when it comes to bleeding, cramping, all of that,

(10:45):
and how this detox can help. That was It was
amazing because she's like a good friend of mine. Does
it's not it's not normal, but women go through a
lot of different things and they just feel like, oh,
I just bleed heavy and that's not normal. But sometimes
we act like it is, you know what I'm saying,
and just deal with it all right. Well, in the meantime,

(11:05):
let's get ready for something else that's different. What's that
tell us a secret? Yeah, maybe you have a story
about getting turning a red light anyway eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. Call us up. It is
a no judgment zone.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Get a ticket from running a light.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Not if no one sees oh, eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty, call us up and tell us
a secret again. That is eight hundred two ninety two
fifty one fifty. It is a no judgment zone, and
you are anonymous. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Its way up, yo way. This is a judgment free zone.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
This is a judgment free zone. And it's time to
tell us a secret. Beat that are you ready for this?

Speaker 8 (11:49):
That?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
I'm always ready.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I feel like you always go viral. Eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. What's that? Anonymous caller? Tell
us your secret?

Speaker 3 (11:57):
But it's loud than my.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
Twenty I'm thirty two right now, but I was twenty
seven at the time. Met this girl at the club.
What is this older woman at the time? I believe
she she had to be probably thirty eight at the time.
So she was locally rocking a cradle. So so me
had the club, we vibing, and you know, end up
going home with her. You know, dude, we do fall
asleep in the morning. She wakes me up just in

(12:18):
this in this frantic mood. So I'm like, yo, what's
going on? She was like, Oh, my man's coming home
for the night shift. I'm like, why don't you tell
me you had a man? Like you could have just
been honest and I probably wouldn't have made the move. Well, honestly,
I probably would have made the move because in my
twenties I liked I liked a lot of I loved
a lot of thrills.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
So I take a lot of chances. So she's like, yo,
you gotta go.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
But before I continue, one thing I would never advise,
don't wear leather pants if you need to make a
run for it, exactly exactly.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
So she tells me.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
She's like, oh, you know he's calling me right now.
I don't know how far he is, so you just
need to get dressed.

Speaker 10 (12:51):
You know.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
I'm taking my time. I'm like, yo, you know you.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
Could have told me, and you know, I'm probably we
probably wouldn't be in this situation. So I threw my
head of ye, put my pants on. As I get
my first leg in the pants, the car pulls up
because she's like, oh, you gotta go. You can't go
out through the front, so you gotta go downstairs and
go out through the kitchen window. So the kitchen window
is above the sink, so that means I got a

(13:15):
hop on the counter over the leather pants with the
leather pants on, and get out the windows.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
And you didn't shower because I'm thinking about that too.
You didn't even shower.

Speaker 6 (13:24):
Now, yeah, no time, and I'm go home so I
can shower when I get to the crib. So she
pushed the window open, but the window was like slightly
cracked on my mom. I'm like, all right, I still
I need to get out the window so I could
use like my body to prop the window up once
I get in it. So get through the window. Half
my body gets stuck. My whole bottom torso, whole bottom

(13:46):
tors so is stuck in the window. The door opens,
so the dude is like, all out here is yo?

Speaker 4 (13:51):
Yo?

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Who is that?

Speaker 6 (13:52):
So I'm like, yo, push.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Like pu's harder, So she's pushing it harder.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Luckily I was able to fall out the window and
jumping the car before her man got to me. But
I think the funniest part, I think I appreciate her
sense of humor because she sent me the ring camera
footage wailing my arms out the window and me driving away.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
But can you send us.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
I got a story to tell you. I can't.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
I can't have my you know my face. This is anonymous.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
I can't have my anonymous.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
You can't have that.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
All right? Well, what lesson did you learn from that?
Don't wear leather pants, So that's it, not don't go
to a woman's house you just met in the club
who might have a husband or a boyfriend.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
I mean, but that was the only.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Lesson you learned was don't wear leather pants.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Basically because you're gonna have to make a run for it.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
You haven't won leather since.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
I still wear them. But but but now you know,
I ask more questions. I ask more questions.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Now, all right, to ask a lot of questions when
you're wearing leather pants. All right, Well, thank you for colleing,
no problem, appreciate you ever go glad you got made
it out.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
I feel like listening to run now all.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Right, Well, that tell us a secret. And you know
who else told us some secrets recently on social media,
Jordan and Pauline. I'm gonna tell you who was in
her d M. She actually called it out. Let me
ask her. But we'll tell you about it in Yet
when we come back. It's way up about the.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Lead ab off this, but let's get it Angelus building
at Yet, come.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
And get the tea. It's way up at Angela. Yeah,
I'm here with be Dot.

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Good job.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
I know where else on a Friday, and let's get
into this yet. Jordan Pauline, she went viral yesterday. She
actually shared a clip of people who were in well.
She was talking about guys sliding in her DM. Okay,
and she gave some clues about who was in her
d MS. Some people felt like this was messy. Some
people were here for it and here for the tea.

(15:47):
All right, And here's what you had to say. Oh
should I say who I have on DM? Or is
this messy?

Speaker 3 (15:53):
You had a few football players.

Speaker 9 (15:56):
I think this guy is basketball easy snipe?

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Wow, Wow, it's more attractive when you hold it down, man,
what keep it? Thinks to yourself?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Who cares?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Didn't think it was gonna go viral like that?

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
You know sometimes you just talk and then you know,
think it's going to like get picked up and post
it everywhere. Yes, but We also don't know what was
said in the DMS. It could have been like love
your music, this video is amazing, So she didn't expand
on what actually was said or showing the screenshots getting
a booth. All right, justin Timberlake has revealed that he
has lime disease. Oh right, isn't that crazy? He posted, well,

(16:34):
as these two incredible years come to an end and
I look forward to the future, I just wanted to
write something from the heart, he said. As many as
you know, many of you know I'm a pretty private person,
but as I'm reflecting on the tour and festival tour,
I want to tell you a little bit about what's
going on with me. I've been battling some health issues
and was diagnosed with lime disease, which I don't say
so you feel bad for me, but to shed some
light on what I've been up against behind the scenes, we.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Need lime disease awareness because don't you get that light
from tics?

Speaker 2 (17:00):
I don't know, Uh yeah, I don't know if that's
the only way you get it. But what I do
know is that he said he would be on stage
he would have a massive amount of nerve, pain or
feeling crazy fatigue or sickness, and he could have either
stopped touring or keep going and figure it out. So
he decided to keep going. You know, I think that's
fair to let people understand. You may not know what

(17:20):
type of struggle I was going through, so there might
have been nights that it was really tough and you're not.
People can be super critical like why is he doing this?
It's because he was going through that.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
You want to chat GPT about wrong disease?

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yeah? Doing now? All right, all right now. Marlon Wayns
recently sat down on Baby This is Kicky Palmer and
he talked to her about the network. NBC was about
to pick up the Waynes Brothers their show, but they
did not like John Witherspoon's character Pops. And here's what
he had to say.

Speaker 11 (17:49):
We didn't make it to NBC because we did the
table read and they thought he was too ghetto and
they want us to have a different father and ess
they get like a Danny Glover type and we was like, no,
it's John Willis was not gonna do the show.

Speaker 12 (18:00):
And there was like, well, Negro, you're not doing the
s So we was like wait, wait, well hold old one,
love you say, But then you know, the WB was
starting and it was like, I think that's a great combination.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Danny Glover, he's too old for this.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Ish, Well this is a while ago too, you gotta think.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
I mean John Witherspoon was probably the best.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Oh, we love John Witherspoon. All right, Well that is
your yet And when we come back, you know, we
still have under the radar stories for you, for everybody,
and all the rumors about Kamala Harris possibly running for
public office, we can squash those rumors. Will tell you
what you had to say about that. And there is
a two hundred million dollar edition being made at the

(18:44):
White House. Will tell you about it. It's way up.
Take the news, news edition, the news that relates to you.

Speaker 5 (18:50):
These stories are flying under the radar, all right.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
As way up with Angela. Ye, I'm here, of course,
my guy beat outs here.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Good job beat.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
That's right, all right. And former Vice President Kamala Harris
recently said that she is not going to run for
public office. And listen to her explanation while she was
on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Not running for the governor of California.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Correct, why are you saying this?

Speaker 10 (19:12):
Are you saving yourself for a different office that might be.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
To be very candid with you, I made the decision
that I just for now, I don't want to go
back in the system. I think it's broken. But it
doesn't mean we give up. That's not my point, okay,
because that's what No, oh, absolutely not. I'm always going
to be part of the fight.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Well, you know what happens when everyone's career is over,
they start a podcast. So I'm sure that's probably next.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
You know, either her career is over political career. No,
I don't think so at all. Well, yeah, no, no,
people have I mean lost elections too, right, became the president,
so his career wasn't over after he lost the presidential election.
That's a wild thing to say. Joe Biden lost elections
and he went on to be president too.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
I mean, she's a vice presson. She lost the election.
She was Attorney Joilid before.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
I mean, yeah, right, so you can definitely, I mean,
look at you know, there's definitely people who everybody does
not win an election and then they still can go
on to still have a career in politics. It just
happens across the board.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Well, governorship is pretty a big deal. Okay, that mean,
why would you not want that role?

Speaker 5 (20:17):
She does?

Speaker 2 (20:18):
She just she said, because the system's broken and there's
so many different roles. And I also don't feel like
in politics you have to necessarily work as a public service.
You could work on the outskirts of that as a
lot of activists who don't want to be politicians but
still can affect what's going on and be part of
the fights. All right, all right, now let's talk about
your president Donald Trump. He has a new barroom that

(20:38):
he's envisioning on the White House campus. What and he
wants to start construction on a two hundred million dollar,
ninety thousand square foot ballroom.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Now, my tax dollars.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
They announced this yesterday and he said, this is a
fifteen year ambition by the president to construct this event
space that will expand the building's entertaining capacity but also
looks like the gilded spaces of his own private clubs.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Who's pay for this? Me?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Ask your president? You got it?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
I don't understand. People are hurting you want to buy
build a hookah lounge?

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Yeah, he wants to do hookah and uh and so yes,
and again, a two hundred million dollars yeah, you got it.

Speaker 8 (21:21):
All right.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Well that is your that is your under the radar
and something that affects us to owning a coffee shops.
Supplies of macha are dwindling. You know, people love macha.
Everybody keeps telling me, do much, you know, for yourself
instead of coffee because some people who can't handle coffee
and the caffeine, and they tend to like Matcha Betterson lattes.
It's an ice cements even in shampoo, and now it's

(21:42):
really really difficult to find. It's a bright green tea powder.
It's a bright green tea powder from Japan, and it's
been so popular thanks to social media people posting videos
with it. So now you know what happens supply and demand.
All right, Well, that is your under the radar. We
do have the way it mixed for you. At the
top of the hour plus we got Reben you the
right way. Johnny Goo is going to be joining us.

(22:05):
He's getting the Entertainer's Key to the city tomorrow, but
he's going to stop off here and see us first.
It's way up.

Speaker 13 (22:12):
She's like the like the Angel Jean, like they angelajee.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Man.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
She's spilling it all this.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Is yet way up, all right, his way up at
the inte ye. I'm here with my guy. Be do good.
Let's get into some of this, yee te. We were
just talking about Machine Gun Kelly earlier, and he recently
was on the Pat McAfee show and he talked about
a role that he turned down that he I guess
it would have been nice for him to play, but

(22:38):
he couldn't do it.

Speaker 8 (22:40):
Centers.

Speaker 12 (22:40):
I was supposed to be on that which the vampire,
but in the audition he has to say the N word,
and I just would.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Have you know what that they would have killed him.
I think you think so, yeah, Machine Yeah, because people
know him, he's not like I just I could. I
can see why he wouldn't want to do that. I mean,
that will follow him around forever because he's also a
rapper and people know him for that first. I think,
you know, the DiCaprio said it. He's still around, but
he's not a rapper. It's different. I feel like, you

(23:07):
know what I'm saying, and people be I can't.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Machine Gun kills that much of a rapper these days anyway.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Okay, Well, I just think that I can see why
he would have been concerned about it all right. Now,
let's talk about Drake. Recently on his tour, he was
on stage kind of discussing how he's managed to maintain
his longevity, and I want to see what you think
about this. Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
I didn't get as why didn't get here about being stated?

Speaker 12 (23:39):
I got here by being doing to people, being nice
to people in my carmos, right, That's.

Speaker 13 (23:44):
Why I'm still a stage in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Mm Well, I said publicly last year that Drake's benevolence
is his weakness, you know. And I think he's you know,
a lot of other artists to benefit from his celebrity,
whether it's taking him on tour, collaborate with new guys,
and I think that's not, say, his downfall, but that's
like his achilles heel.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
You know, some artists will say that Drake being on
their songs hurt them, like Drawn with Chatcha.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
How was that kind of No, he wasn't on that record?

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Oh no, what was it? What song was it?

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Which one?

Speaker 7 (24:18):
No?

Speaker 2 (24:19):
I thought he was wait what No? No, No, it
wasn't that song? Who was it that? They said that at.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Macony Macon cosmetologist.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh my gosh, I cannot remember, yeah what song it was,
but I remember they say it was Hotline.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
Blaze, probably going up on a Tuesday that record.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
No no, no, no, not that when okay, it was
a remix. But anyway, and then of course the Weekend
of course maybe wouldn't say that, or maybe Lil Wayne
wouldn't say that because.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
But I think I think the Weekend has benefited from
his association with Drake.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
What about Kwaton Miller him too?

Speaker 3 (24:52):
What would what would he be without without Drake? When
you look at Asap Rocky, You know.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
It's interesting though we say that, but then apparently there's
people that don't like Drake behind the scenes because there's
some things that we don't know about that happened. Right,
A lot of times I feel like it revolves around
women too.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Well, that's with anybody, you know, that's his whole hair say.
But I just think that's the reason why, you know,
he gets a lot of flack. And yeah, it's just
he might be too nice, might be the Canadian in him.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
All right, Now, let's talk about Yah Yah Mayweather. Apparently
she is pregnant with NBA Young Boys fourteenth child. What
she has confirmed the rumors. She shared a video that
shows her growing baby bump while she had on a
crap top. So what people are saying now, if you're
keeping track of numbers, that would be his thirteenth and
fourteenth kids, because he also has another baby on the

(25:37):
way as well.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Fall the Abraham Jesus week, I'm fourteen.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yes, that's a lot of baby's.

Speaker 10 (25:42):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
ViBe's cartel hasn't built his twenty five city World Boss
World Tour new merch collection. Okay, I could see us getting.

Speaker 8 (25:52):
Some of that.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
He's been out here killing it, so.

Speaker 8 (25:54):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
But anyway, when we come back, we got your new music.
It's a Friday, so it's a new music Friday. So
let's talk about what's out that you should be listening to.
I know you were excited for Sweetie. We'll discuss it.
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
Okat everybody since whether it's relationship with career advice, Angela's
dropping facts, so.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
You should you should know.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
What's up his way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here,
beat out here yep, good joffeverybody, And we got Ashley
on the line for ask Ye eight hundred and two
nine two fifty one fifty Hey Ashley, hi, ye, how
are you good?

Speaker 9 (26:25):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (26:26):
I'm okay, I'm okay.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
You want to ask me and beat out a question
so we can help you out?

Speaker 13 (26:31):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Please? So basically, my boyfriend, well, he's got my boyfriend.
We've been dating for like six months and it was
just my birthday Leo season you already know, and he
got me these pearl earrings. And I never wear pro earrings.
He asked me, like what I wanted for my birthday.
I just pull him at dinner because you know, we
just started kind of dating, and now he got me

(26:56):
these pulled earrings. I don't like them, and he's always
asking me like to wear them and this and that,
But I don't want to break his heart until him
I hate them, but I really don't like them.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Isn't that bad? Like you hate them?

Speaker 13 (27:09):
Yes, I only started.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
I don't even know where he got the pears from,
you know, like, I don't even know what made him
want to get me those.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Y'all just started dating, so he doesn't even know you
that well yet, and maybe he felt like pearl earrings
are like a standard, you know, They're like a basic.
When I'm going out dressed up with some pearl earrings,
so his intention was good.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
Well, I'm like, should I just wear them for him
when he wants me to, or what should I do?

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Was there a return receipt with them? It was no
gift for seed right, because we don't even know if
he can exchange them or return them. I'm gonna say this, have.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
You expressed them in the past that you don't like pearls.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
You haven't even dated that long six months, so he
just isn't quite sure and you don't want him to
buy you a pearl necklace to go with it. You
should say to him, you know I was crazy. I
would never ever have thought to get pearls, and I
love the fact that these are from you. So I'm
gonna wear something that is like not my norm just
because my man got them from me.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Hey, yeah, I think it's not good. She just wear
them around him, But.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
That way he knows not to try to get a
match and set. You know what I'm saying, Like, I
just think that it's appreciative of the gift. It's also
letting him know while it's not necessarily your style, you
appreciate that it's from him. And then in the future.
You need to let him know what you do. Like,
so you need to like make sure you always dropping hands, like, hey, babe,
isn't this cute? Like, oh, I love this. You need

(28:33):
to do things like that so he can get a
little bit more of an idea of what your vibe is.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Yeah, okay, thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
All right, good luck, thank you.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
We're so specific when it comes to gifts.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
I mean, how would you feel if somebody brought you
a gift you didn't like?

Speaker 3 (28:48):
She did?

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Oh? Shoot, where does she get you? She's listening.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
It was a shirt that I really didn't like, but
I would anyway, And I told her afterwards, It's like,
that really wasn't my style.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Well maybe she's trying to level you up. There you go,
all right, you can't wear forty forty shirt every day?

Speaker 9 (29:04):
All right?

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Well that was asked ye eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty. If you want to leave a message,
you can get through that way. And when we come back,
Johnny gil is in the building. Put on your good dress?
Was it a red shirt?

Speaker 8 (29:20):
Yo?

Speaker 2 (29:21):
All right? He'll be joining us. He's getting the key
to the city tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
It's way up this is way up with Angela. Ye,
let's go.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
You are a media maven, right, you never know what
Andre's gonna say, what's up his way up at Angela yee?
And a legend is here with me, Johnny Gil. Welcome
the way up at Angela yee.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
Yeah, old legend.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Uh look at you. You're a young player, you know
what I mean? Oh yeah, right, You're getting the Entertainer's
Key to the city this weekend.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Oh my god, let me just tell you. I'm so
excited and I'm so grateful.

Speaker 8 (29:52):
It's fine because you think forty two years later, it's
like it's kind of like, man, you don't had it
all of them done it all.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
But I never take any of this stuff.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
You know, You've had a longest story career. Even thinking
about thirty five years since the first solo album Johnny
Gill was out. That's this year.

Speaker 8 (30:09):
Well that was the big one that my miamum, but
even before that, it was the duet album would say
talk about this, So that was It's been forty two
years of business.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I'm only fifty two. It's just weird.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
But you truly have like the iconic voice. People look
at you as like that voice is interesting to me. Also,
how like you said, when you first started off as
Stacey lattisov right, and you guys were definitely a perfect combination. Yeah,
you know, I saw the stories about how you guys dated,
but then her family was betting to you. Yeah, and
they've they've disputed that, like it's not true.

Speaker 8 (30:45):
I'm sure they would, But I mean, I often say this,
and we've all know this to be a truth. It's
like my truth might not necessarily feels, but I can
only tell you what my truth is. And it's not
like it was in the world. It killed me as
a matter of fact, it made me strong, and maybe
that's because I hadn't. I really had the complex of
being dark as a kid, and I dealt with the
fact that I had a manager and Henry Allen, who

(31:06):
was the president of the record label at the time.
They all was putting it in my head about I
don't like him, but they never She's never treated me
anything less.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Right now, Johnny Gill is here with that, She's got
new music on the way, he's got a single Call
One Night coming out, but he's also getting the key
to the city. It's crazy because Bobby Brown had that
story about Janet too, kind of like how the family
had an issue with them dating.

Speaker 8 (31:29):
You know, he has his story and she has hers,
and I know both of them and they don't match
very well.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
And that's what happens to your truth. And it's interesting
because nowadays I feel like, and for quite some time
now that chocolate is in though you have to say.

Speaker 8 (31:46):
I appreciate it now, but back then I was really like,
I was like, you know, it was always light scanners
versus dark skin, and.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
I hate it.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
I hate it.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, when the bar just came out, I was just like, ah,
man a wholes. They just was tearing it up for
a while. But then we dark chocolate came back in.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah, and I never believe it was never left. And
I saw you on Jennifer Hudson, Oh yeah, you know amazing,
And then I couldn't tell if you said you really were,
because I know you've said you planned to do a
gospel album.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
I am actually, And it's funny.

Speaker 8 (32:20):
I think I'm gonna beat Stevie one because Steve, he's
been trying to do one for all about it the
twenty years.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
But I think I'm gonna beat him.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
I do really believe. I am man, you don't exposed
Stevie Wonder.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Oh my god, that went so oh oh my day.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
You could see Steve Wonder if you have to actually
get on stage and be like, I know there's these
rumors he said he'd be all on in air hockey.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
Oh he beat Oh my god, does that? Sure did?

Speaker 2 (32:47):
And I remember telling me to see some footage.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
I remember telling my.

Speaker 8 (32:50):
Buddy Keith, this guy Keith yelling he was We were
doing backgrounds and stuff, and I remember he beat us
so bad, and we was all sitting there talking, going
I'm gonna tell nobody.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
I was like, man, and I kept telling him. I
was like, you can see, I don't care what you say.
You sick, because he was. He tore us up.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
All right. Johnny Gill is here. He's got a new
single out right now called One Night. But he's also
getting the Key to the City tomorrow, and he's got
some legendary stories. But we're gonna dig into his personal
life a little bit too. We got more when we
come back. It's way up.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
You vab it, way up with Angela ye more.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Now what's up his way up with Angela? Yee? You
could have never told me this when I was a kid.
But Johnny gill is in the building. Is there any
particular reason you've always been so private about your dating life.

Speaker 8 (33:33):
My personal life is my personal life. That's why it's
so many people there's always question what is GAG because
I don't listen that to my life over here. And
one thing, especially for relationships, when you're in this business
and everybody's got an opinion, it turns into a number
of things where you know you want to be able
to save something for yourself, and I think you have
to build a strong foundation when you go out and

(33:55):
decide you're going to put your relationship out there and
you're going to be doing I mean, because it's a
lot I come with it, so I prefer to keep
something for myself and that's my life.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
The only time I've seen you really go in was
recently over these rumors, and I feel like you've done
a great job of not even bothering to address it's sometimes,
but this particular time you were like, Okay, now this
is enough and listen the dumb rumors.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
I don't have a problem with that. That's so stupid.

Speaker 8 (34:21):
That's been going on for how many years? But when
you lie on me and say you saw something that
you didn't see, something I've never done in my life.
That's where it becomes a problem. And that's when I
got with the lawyers. They said, this is defamation, and
bro man, you know it's coming.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Also, there really is a lawsuit. It's coming right now.
Johnny Gill is here with us. He's got new music
on the way, he's got a single Call One Night
coming out. But he's also getting the Key to the City.
There's also a new addition to our coming right.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
You getting ready to make the announcement. It's a big one.

Speaker 7 (34:49):
You like that.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
I know that already. Yeah, how you know, because I
began to like the little inside it sucks.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Well, she made the announcement, y'all. I didn't.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Key to the city make this announcement. What are some
things that are still on your bucket list? The rock
and roll all the thing?

Speaker 3 (35:07):
I think it's on all my buckets.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
I know this weekend is a big one for you.
The Entertainer's Key to the City, and then also performing
doing New York City.

Speaker 8 (35:17):

else's song. Y'all got any requests?

Speaker 3 (35:22):
I'm taking them.

Speaker 8 (35:24):

Speaker 3 (35:25):
That's exactly We're just gonna party.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
That's a big deal. I'm excited for that.

Speaker 8 (35:29):
I'm excited too, and I was just I'm so grateful
for it, and so many of my friends are coming out.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
So it's just gonna have fun.

Speaker 2 (35:35):

who is serving a life sentence for a murder. And
I've been with him for four years, and I told
him that I would be supportive and be with him
as long as he has been honest with me and
telling me the truth. But I recently was doing my

(37:26):
own investigation and I just found out that I think
he's really committed the murder. Which he kept claiming that
he was innocent, So I recently just broken off with him.

Speaker 10 (37:37):
