Speaker 2 (00:14):
Ye, happy Monday flight out. Yes, may now we're.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Back together, ye like we never left.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
You don't launch the show.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
We got to talk about that later.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Wrap about it.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Speaking of shows, I was at the iHeartRadio Music Festival
over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
It was a lot that.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
You heard my voice. I got back in late last night.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
You know a lot of people leave right after and
like they'll take the Red Eye that night or the
next day, they take the first flight out.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
But I'm always like, I'm gonna.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Just stay a little bit, have a little time gambling.
I didn't do any gambling, but I was with my
makeup artist's keys.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I was with Meeks.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
We went to the pool like next day was gone
the aria. All right, well, let's get this show started
with some love and some positivity.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
By the way, I interviewed my carry while I was
out there.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I saw that, yeah for audible, So we'll get that
on for you in case you missed it. But let's
shine a light eight hundred and two nine two fifty
one fifty call us up.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Let us know who you want to shine a light on.
It's way up.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Turn your lights on, y'all light saw spreading love to
those who are doing greatness.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Shinna light on, shine a light on.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
It's time to shine.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
A light on.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Yee.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I'm here.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
And today let's shine a light on Asia Wilson. She
has become the WNBA's Most Valuable Player for twenty twenty five.
That is the fourth time that she has been the MVP,
and so that means previously she was tied with Cheryl Swoops,
Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson as three time recipients, but
she's the only one now who is a four time

(01:51):
MVP in the WNBA, So shout out to her. It's
been her eighth season in the WNBA and according to
her coach Becky Hammond for the Las Vegas Aces, she
said that Asia Wilson is a generational force. The fact
that she's not even thirty yet is crazy because she
still has a lot left in the bank.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
And here's what she had to say.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
My team knows like this ain't me Angie for us.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
They counted us out, but we showed up every single
day and we worked her ass.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
Is this it has my name on it and it's
gonna be that, but this one is all of us.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Oh all right, Well, shout out to Asia Wilson and
now Kronica, who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (02:35):
I'm going to try a line on my two sons,
Kardashian and boil you.

Speaker 8 (02:38):
Dad's doing such a great job with going good in
Fool and graduating for the next level.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
You named one of your children Kardashian.

Speaker 8 (02:46):
Yes, that's the first name, and my second son name
is boy.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
You all right, so now talk to me about shining
a light on your kids.

Speaker 8 (02:54):
Yeah, my kids are doing so great in school and
they're achieving everything with everything that we're going through family wise,
and I just want to shine the light on them
because it could be worse, it could be different.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
What are you going through family wise?

Speaker 8 (03:09):
Well, family wise.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
I'm going through a situation where my mom and.

Speaker 8 (03:12):
Dad is not there for me at.

Speaker 7 (03:14):
The present moment. But I'm still continuing to go on
by God.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
But we will keep you in our prayers as well.
And shout out to Kardashian and Royal.

Speaker 7 (03:23):
Yes, thank you so much, Angela.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Thank you, love you, love you to enjoy your well.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
That would shine a light eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty in case you couldn't get through,
leave a message and shine a light on them for
last word. And when we come back, we got to
Y E. T and Disney Hulu. Everybody's like kind of
canceling subscriptions will tell you what that loss is looking like.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
As this boycott continues its way up, they say in
the rooms.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
From industry shade to all of gosp out send Angela's
feeling that yet all right?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
As way up with Angela, Yea, I'm here, Maino's here,
all right and let's get into some of this EyeT. So,
according to Culture Base, Disney has based a three point
eight billion dollar loss as this boycott over Jimmy Kimmel's
suspension has been growing.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Now they are getting.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Supposedly they are in talks with Jimmy Kimmel to bring
the show back. What would you do if you were
Jimmy Kimmel at this point in time, Because it's also
like your whole staff that's out of work. You know,
his wife is also like the head writer on the show.
It affects a lot of difference.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
YEA, if I was now y'all got to really run
it up.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Now, Well, he's under contract, so I don't know how
they y'all play with me right now. There has been
pressure to remove him after this whole merger situation is happening.
And the head of the FCC is also one of
the writers of Project twenty twenty five. So you know,
it's a lot going on.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Brandon Carrson, you understand a conspiracy.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
But we'll see what happens as they're trying to work
to reach this con from my I believe they're meeting
again this week.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
They've been in deep discussions now.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Jimmy Kimmel, on his behalf, has made no public comments
since the show was pulled from its regular time slot.
That happened on September seventeenth. Disney said only that the
program will be off of its schedule indefinitely. All right, now,
let's talk about other things. People who probably shouldn't have
said anything. Little Meach oh as that person, now, Selena Powell.

(05:25):
You know Selena Powell.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Right, yeah, I don't know it like that.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
I didn't say, like, what's like that?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
I'm like that, yeah, yeah, to watch you.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, apparently she did used to have dealings with Little
Meach and I guess she's sharing that they are back
together again and she's acting like, you know, it's embarrassing
for people to know. But she's been detailing her relationship
with him, and she set up a controversy. She posted
a series of Instagram stories where she shows that romantic
connection with little Meach and he put that it was cap.

(05:58):
He put a laugh and kind face on the post
and put CAP. So you know what happens with Selena
Powell when you try to deny it got receipt, trust
to know, like, she'll take some pictures, she'll have some audio.
So once he broke CAP, then she went ahead and
posted would you believe this crackhead known snitch that I'm capped?

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Out of all men?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
You think I'd lie on you, Demetrius, I lie to
my friends about not being with you because they know
you are bump. Then she also posted this audio of
little Meat after she was going in on him on
the post.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
I guess he was asking her to take it down.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
No, I'm digging you.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Please delete this stuff.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
This is my reputation, bro, I apologize for saying what
I said to you.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
You said it was cap, So what was cap? Demitrius?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Selena I said that to get the post deleted, Selena,
But now you want to make me look like a
liar in front of the internet.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
It's crazy, Dmitri.

Speaker 8 (06:48):
That's not how I tried to make you seem.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
I apologize for that.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Yes, he could have just not said anything like that's what,
just yeah, keep quiet.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
We'll just text her. That's it.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
She's gonna post that, right.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
But it would have been better than saying this is
cap and then making her go in even first.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, yeah, he could have just yeah, you're right about that.
From the beginning.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
She went on and on, though, She said, mind you,
he lived in Floyd Mayweather apartment for free with his
daddy because they can't afford rent. Be you think i'd
be proud to admit that I care for you like
you were my son. You couldn't even afford mills. I
connected you with my weed plug because you can't afford
to get high. He's ten pills deep today. He probably
forgot he was with me, and that's why he said cap,
because ain't no way. And she went on and on,

(07:31):
and then you know, fifty SI left a comment. He said,
please please, please, baby, please stop. This is my reputation.
BM have done show over but y'all street ninjas, so
you know, get it out the mud. So that was that,
and that is your ut when we come back about
last night.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
We got some stories, guys. It's way up.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
So about last night, yes, he said, went down.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Cow ya but Angela, ye, I'm here, Mano's here, no, right,
and it's time for about last night.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
What were you doing over the weekend?

Speaker 6 (08:03):
You know what, I had a lot going on. I
had a show in on Saturday in Mount Vernon. Shout
out to city Fest, Ken Reese and the mayor up there.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
But I was feeling sick.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
I was feeling like I could hear it a little,
a little scratch.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
After the show, I went home and I stay home
from It's rare. Yeah, it's very rare. And this the
first time I'm coming out. I stayed home all day yesterday.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
All right. Well, yeah, you got the Mariah Carey voice.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
And speaking of Mariah Carey, she performed at the iHeart
Radio Music Festival over the weekend, so I did have
a chance to do a quick interview with her for Audible.
She's amazing though. Her voice is incredible, like she and
I also, I just want to say shout out to
the Usboa who does her hair. I love that she's
got that curly hair from back the throwback to vision

(08:49):
of love Day and then You're and it was all right,
but anyway, I also had a chance to host the
sound check for Capitol One card holders llll cool J.
So during his soundcheck, a certain card holder's got a
chance and an opportunity to come out watch LL do
sound check and also submit questions to ask him. So

(09:10):
I hosted that as well. You know, Llo is such
a legend legend. I was trying to figure out what's
my LL cool my favorite.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
LL cool J song?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
And what did you come up with?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Well, at the time, I had said the Booming System,
but then I also really liked Jingling Baby.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Come on, there's so many.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
I know it was really hard. I know yours is
probably I'm going to knock you out.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Would you say that's one of my favorite? Because it
was all though?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
What would you say if you had.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
To say bad? I'm bad?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Like, but what about you know what else?

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Now that you're on this new mission, I need love,
it's probably that's that's that's.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Yeah, I need love.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
You should you.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Should do some husband material.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Definitely, you need a twenty twenty five. I need love.
I like when I'm alone in my room. I love
it anyway.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
So it was an amazing weekend though, you know, I
love iHeart festival weekend. He got a great opportunity to
see all different types of people performing.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
I also met Jelly.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Roll for the first time, so after I got off
the stage for soundcheck, I saw him, and you know,
I don't try to if I've never met you. I'm
not gonna be all in your face. I'm not, so
I just was like, oh, hey, you know whatever. And
then he was like Angela, ye, oh my gosh, I
love lip service. I listened to you, and I've been
listening to you for such a long time. And then
somebody captured this really cute moment. Listen to this thank you.

Speaker 9 (10:45):
Now.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
If you couldn't hear what he said, I'm gonna translate
for you. He said that I'm the type of woman
that he wants his daughter to grow up to be. Like,
it's not like that nicest compliment. So I got all emotional.
So shout out to jelly Roll. That was really really sweet.
I love it all right. Well, when we come back,
tell us a secret. We're gonna sh gears completely eight
hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. There was a
point in your life, I'm sure when you were not

(11:06):
the type of person that anybody would want their kid
to be like. And we want to hear about it.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Yeah, fifty one material fifty.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Call us up and tell us a secret. It's a
no judgment zone again. That's eight hundred two ninety two

Speaker 1 (11:19):

it was kind of deserted.

Speaker 3 (11:57):

Speaker 1 (12:07):
You think you ate something bad, like you have food poisoning.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Or you just yeah, like really bad, you said.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Listen, that can happen, though, I can't even imagine what
it must feel like to be on the beach and
guts start bubbling.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Pick it up off the sand, No you can't.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
You gotta put more sand on top of it like
a dog. You gotta just like.

Speaker 8 (12:26):
Yeah, like I used, staying there like muffled like muffled smell.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Did you leave or did you stay and relax some more?

Speaker 10 (12:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (12:35):
I left immediately.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Well, I comment you for that, Thank you for sharing
that with us. Hey, anonymous, color, you want to tell
me a mano a secret.

Speaker 7 (12:43):
Yeah, I used to.

Speaker 11 (12:45):
Be a porn star and I'm just happy I changed
my life from a hard working man.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Now what type of point did you do?

Speaker 12 (12:53):
Well?

Speaker 11 (12:54):
You probably know one of the the name of the girls,
the name Trump, you know.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Okay, yeah, yeah, we know.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
The guys in the room don't know her.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
So you did some stuff. But that's the Trump we love.

Speaker 11 (13:05):
Yeah, that's the only Trump.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Yeah, we love.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
You ever have to do like with another.

Speaker 11 (13:12):
Guy or oh no, no no never never.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Let me ask you this though, is a former porn star,
did you at least enjoy it or was it? Did
it feel just like work? So you were always a
hard working man, So don't just credit that you said
now you're a hard working man.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
You was working hard back then. Literally, So what's the secret?

Speaker 11 (13:34):
Wha, my my, my member, she don't know that I was.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
So what would you do if your young lady found out?

Speaker 13 (13:43):
Uh?

Speaker 11 (13:44):
She would just have to know. It's in the past,
you know, the past past. We working on the future.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
What if she used to be a porn star? Would
that bother you?

Speaker 10 (13:52):
Uh?

Speaker 11 (13:53):
No, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah, you try to lie.

Speaker 11 (13:59):
No, boy, it'll definitely changed things around.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Okay, Well, thank you for sharing with us, Yes, ma'am.
They could have just did a movie together.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
All right.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Well that is your tell us a secret. Eight hundred
two nine fifty one fifty. Remember we're always keeping the
phone lines open for your secrets to play. For last
word and when we come back, we got your y
E T. And Cardi B is responding to these rumors
about her baby daddy on the way, Stephan Diggs. You
know there's the rumors that he's got other kids and
other women on the way already born. Whatever, we'll tell

(14:32):
you what you had to say it felt like a
joking manner.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
It's way up.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Sure, she's about to blow the lid ab off this spot.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Let's get it.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
Oh yeah, Angela's feeling that yet.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Come and get the tea.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
All right, it's way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here man, no, no,
maya man. And let's get into some Cardi B news.
Am I The drama how appropriately named for her right now?
A lot of drama, yes, but there's some good.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Drama going on.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
You know. The first week projections for her album are here,
one hundred and twenty five to one hundred and fifty
thousand units in the first week, and it's already a
certified platinum album.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
That is thanks to the singles.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Yeah, but that doesn't count toward first week sales. Those
are songs that have already done what they did, so
congratulations to her for that though. That's a big deal still,
no matter what, those songs weren't on other albums, so
I like, I like the music with them. Yeah, everybody's
loving it now Here is what she had to say
as she thanks people on live for really pushing hard

(15:31):
for her behind this album.

Speaker 13 (15:33):
You guys have been receiving it so well, and that
means so much to me, and I want to say
thank you so much, Like.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
That's really feels so good.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Oh, I'd love to see it now.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
The other drama, since it's am I, the drama is
with Stefan Diggs because there's all these rumors about him
having more children from other women, other women who are
suing him for a paternity.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
It's just a lot going on right now.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
And I feel like ever since she's announced her pregnancy,
it's just NonStop in the news about him.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
So here's what you had to say.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
As she was on Live, she was cooking, and she
was kind of responding to all of this.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Girl, Well we're now, I know, we'll move it up.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, yeah, I guess nothing to do but figure it
out now. People have been weighing in on her decision,
and Crystal from the reads, somebody who Cardy took the
time to respond to. Here was Christol's initial comments on
the read about Cardi, b you have a.

Speaker 9 (16:37):
Career, you have things to work towards and work for,
like blossom just turned on, meaning you were fully pregnant.
You talking about going on tour in February, so you're
going to give birth to this baby probably near the
end of the year, towards the top of the year,
and then spend six weeks in surgery and tour rehearsal to.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Then do what go on stage and do nothing? All right, now,
I do want to say.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
And it was a way longer discourse about this, and
I saw people going at Crystal saying, aren't you supposed
to be a therapist?

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Why are you talking like this.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
I saw some people saying the message was good, it
was a delivery that was perhaps wrong. But Cardib herself
went on Twitter spaces to respond and here's what she said.

Speaker 13 (17:17):
There's how I know, y'all know me.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
I't have surgery.

Speaker 13 (17:20):
You have to blossom at all. So you're just saying
things just to say things. And as a grown woman
in your forties when no kids you talking about and
I hope you don't die on a table, knowing that
I have four children. It's just very dark and it's
very nasty. I do understand how people kind of want
have an expectation of me and kind of wanted something

(17:41):
for me, but it's like that was just kind of disgusting.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Yeah, I mean, look at the end of the day,
and I saw people also comparing this to Nick Cannon, like, oh,
y'all dragged Nick Cannon, and you know this is you
guys are championing this. But at the end of the day,
she's pregnant, she's having a baby, and that's why she
also said that she waited until she was near the
end of her pregnancy so that she wouldn't have to
get all this negativity. But that is your Yet when

(18:07):
we come back, we have under the radar. These are
the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're
flying under the radar, but you definitely need to know
about them. Man, Let's talk about some TikTok frenzy that's
been going on. People believe the end of the world
is coming too. By the way, it's the way.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
It is news.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar, all.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Right, as way up with Angela, yee, I'm here, manos here,
no man, man. There's all kinds of things going on,
as y'all know, with your President of the United States,
Donald Trump. First of all, there's a belief that the
end of the world is coming, and there's been a
TikTok frenzy called Rapture Talk right now. So the raptor
is a belief that's help by some Christians that in

(18:51):
the end times all Christians both that and arelive, will
rise to heaven. Some people were saying previously member that
it was going to happen May twenty first, twenty eleven.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Thing happened.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
But now there's a new rapture date that came from
a South African pastor and they're saying it's going to
be on the twenty third and twenty fourth of September
this year.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
So that's in a couple of days.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
So does the end of the world happening in a
couple of.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Days allegedly supposed to?

Speaker 3 (19:15):
What's happening?

Speaker 10 (19:15):
Like?

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Is it medios as it was?

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Well, now you can look at rapture talk to see
people are saying they're quitting their jobs, selling their cars
and all those things in preparation for the rapture.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Here is keV on stage talking about it.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
They're selling their cars closed. Some people are making like
post rapture kits for the people who are left behind.
My question to them is, if the rapture is indeed
happening on Tuesday, September twenty third, what time zone is
it happening at Because if it's like say, six pm
Eastern on Tuesday the twenty third, that means it's already
Wednesday in a whole part of the world.

Speaker 6 (19:52):
Well, not only that, why are you selling things not
gonna need it the money?

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Yeah, I don't understand the point of it. This is
I mean, it's silly.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
But if you want to go check that out and listen,
get on this TikTok while you can. Because according to
Donald Trumpey did an interview that aired yesterday, he's saying
that Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan are likely to
be involved in the deal to save TikTok in the
United States. Now, according to other reports, they're saying it
may not be them necessarily, but more like Fox. A
person familiar told CNBC Lachlan Murdock is unlikely to participate individually,

(20:24):
but Fox Corporation, where he's the executive.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Chair and CEO, could play a role.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Congress did last year pass the bill that would ban
TikTok the platform unless Byte Dance divested from US operations
amid national security concerns.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
The White House has provided.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
New details of a possible deal yesterday, they said six
of the seven member board that controls TikTok will be
Americans and will the US will also control the app's algorithm,
according to White House Press Secretary, and so the data
and privacy for the app and the US will be
led by Oracle also. But China has siged I said

(21:00):
that they are still very far apart on negotiations. So
even though Donald Trump is saying this is about to happen,
and you know, it's gonna be six out of seven
board members from the US and they're going to control
the algorithm, China is not saying any of these things yet.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
So we shall see. All right, Well, that is you're
under the radar.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
We do have the Way Up mixed for you at
the top of the hour, plus we got more from
the iHeartRadio Music festival that took place over the weekend.
I'm really fresh off the plane and Mariah Carey did
join me, so we have some of that for you.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
She's got an album coming out on Friday. It's way up,
you Vibi, Way up.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
With Angela Yee more Now.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yee. I'm here.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Mano's here now, Mana and I'm mean new mana, what's
your monday mano?

Speaker 6 (21:43):
You know, I was, I'm so grateful, and I wanted
to say something about gratitude, but then me and Dan
was talking and I was just like, you know, I
am grateful, and in order to get new things going on,
you gotta have gratitude.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
So I'm grateful to have.

Speaker 6 (21:55):
A team man like you know what I mean, and
be a part of this team and have other things
going on, because having a team of people that that
inspires you keeps you inspired, right, So that leads me
to because you can't.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Do it alone.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
I saw somebody talking to I saw this quote from somebody.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
They were saying that I'm trying to remember who it was.
I gotta find it. He's like a billionaire.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
He was saying the reason why he wanted to be
rich was so that he didn't have to work with
people he didn't like anymore.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
Right, you got to do you can't. You gotta do
whatever you gotta do so you can get what you
can get.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
It's nice to have a good team of people like
that you can actually curate absolutely that care just as
much as you.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
Do absolutely, which which leads me to this this this
thing that's happening in the day, let's rap about it.
New podcasts, uh me, Jim Jones, Fabulous Davies and it's
and it's super dope man.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
And we're talking about us.

Speaker 6 (22:50):
No, no gossiping thing, talking about how, you know, from
my point of view with you know, what life is
for us, and you know and and and our perspectives
on things.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
I don't like this idea that gossip is like because
I feel like everybody thinks everything is gossip.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
How do you just the current events?

Speaker 10 (23:07):
No?

Speaker 6 (23:07):
I know when I'm saying that, I think that in
the podcast space is a lot of the shows that
went into more of a gossiping thing, you know.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
And I like that. Let's wrap about it because all
of y'all are rappers.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
So when it made two days, let's rap about it.
You know that that's talk. Let's kick it.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
You know, I like it. I like it. We do
have the trailer, right, yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:30):
Hey, a lot of this is been going on, so
let's wrap about it.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
A lot of right, a lot of wrong. So let's
rap about it.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Controversy every week, let's let's trap about it. Feelily that
don't even speak.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
We can rap about the crushing out them.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
I g let's trap about it.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Everybody you want to beef, Let's wrap about it.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
People going outside, let's rap about it.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
They really want caught bad, Let's rap about it.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
And then you could do a freestyle every week.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Yeah that's all right there, I like it.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
But that's team. That's team. You know what I mean.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
You need to be surrounded by people that you inspired by.
If not, then you're living in a prison baggy.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Okay, y'a.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Don't need me to do no gossip segment.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Yeah, we need you to come through sometimes. Just give us.
Just give us not the gossip thing, but just give us.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Some topic from a woman's point of view.

Speaker 14 (24:14):
Women.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
Yeah, we need you to pull up.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Oh, no problem, I got plenty. I got it locked
and loaded. All right, Well, congratulations on that. All right,
let's wrap about it.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
When is the drop?

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Oh today today?

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I can't wait. I know we're gonna talk about it
and rap about it.

Speaker 11 (24:31):
All right.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Well, when we come back, we have asked yee, I'm
here with the award winning advice giving new man. You
gotta bring that over there too. I mean, yeah, I
think you know you give great advice. Yeah, that can't
be the advice for everything.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Fifty one fifty call us up? All right, it's time
for us.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I feel like you haven't given that advice in a minute.
But you know eight hundred two nine two fifty one
fifty call us up?

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Ask yee? Is next?

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Angel's dropping facts?

Speaker 1 (25:02):
What's up? His way up? At Angela?

Speaker 10 (25:03):
Yee?

Speaker 2 (25:03):
I'm here, the award winning advice giving Mana was here
for her. It's time we got Tyra on the line.
What's up Tyra?

Speaker 7 (25:10):
Hey?

Speaker 12 (25:11):
So why was this guy that I used to deal with?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
We never dated.

Speaker 7 (25:16):
We just dealt with each other, if you know what
I mean.

Speaker 12 (25:18):
So then't this girl that I was going to the
gym with and we were hanging out like after work
and everything. And she ended up telling me the other
day that they dealt with each other too? She told
me because he kept on threatening to tell me him so,
so I guess she just wanted to go ahead and
told me. But she knew about how I felt about

(25:39):
him because I opened up with her about him and
I was kind of jealous.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
So she already knew you dealt with him when she
slept with him? Or was this something that happened like
when y'all weren't that tight?

Speaker 12 (25:49):
No, this happened recently.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Oh okay, Well, I want to say number one, that
girl ain't really a friend like that. If she did
something like that to you and then wasn't even gonna
tell you about it. He had to threaten her for
her to tell you, so she would have been content
with sneaking around behind your back.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Right.

Speaker 12 (26:04):
Basically, that's how I looked at it, and I blocked
her on social media.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Oh okay, and I don't want to deal with it anymore.
So what type of advice do you need? Because it
feels like you're not gonna deal with either one of them?

Speaker 12 (26:14):
How should I feel? It's being jealous a valid feeling.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
You're allowed to feel how you feel.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
And if you feel like jealous that this happened, But
that don't mean I want to be with you or
you know what I'm saying, that's fine, like you're a
human being.

Speaker 12 (26:29):
How should I move forward?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
I mean, you already blocked her, You already said you
don't even want to deal with him anymore.

Speaker 6 (26:34):
Can you stick to that unless you still want them
both in your life?

Speaker 12 (26:40):
Not? Really, this situation was just kind of weird.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Well, you know, what Sometimes were going to be friends
with people for a period of time that are weird,
and then we're gonna cut them off.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
It's just what happens. Yes, yeah, that's it.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
You know, cut the weirdos off, you do some weird things,
you move funny.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
It's a lesson learned.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
I think sometimes we try too hard to forgive people
a make excuses for why they did things, and you
can't forgive and still not mess with them, But you
don't got to continue to allow them to treat you
any which way.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
And she hasn't apologized or anything right.

Speaker 12 (27:11):
No, when she told me, it seemed like she was
more so just doing it to like get it off
her chest and get it off her conscience, right, instead
of understanding how I felt about him.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
That's not nobody you want to be friends with, period,
So let's move on, focus on other things.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Get it together. That guy wasn't for you. She wasn't
for you.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Sometimes we let things and people weigh us down that
don't deserve to be there.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
So you got to cut off that baggage. Yeah, I'm
kind of worried, like, what did they hear this?

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Well, they know what they did.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
I don't play right yeah, like they should be grateful.
You ain't go and do a story time on social
media about.

Speaker 13 (27:50):
It, you know, I should do one of those.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
All right, we'll tag it, look, tag us, let us
know if you need this. All right, Well, yeah, I
got it. Well, thank you and good luck. So you
got to just find the right people to be around,
and being around the wrong people's a waste of time.

Speaker 12 (28:04):
I agree, Miss Angie.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
All right, take care you too.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
All right, well that was ask ye eight hundred and
two nine two fifty one fifty. If we couldn't get through,
leave a message and we can still answer your question.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
And when we come back.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Somebody who knows all about cutting off did wait because
she's had to do it several times in her past.
Mariah Carey. I ran into her at the iHeart Music Festival.
Why didn't run into her? I had to interview her
for audible, But I was so excited and we got
that interview for you.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
When we come back, it's way up.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
We about to do this.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Yeah, yeah, I'm all way up with angelae on Now
do you know what it is?

Speaker 11 (28:37):
What it is?

Speaker 12 (28:39):
It is?

Speaker 1 (28:39):
All right, Well we are here with Mariah Carey.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Mariah, what I'm talking about it has been amazing having
you back when new music and I have to say,
Klana Shancia, all of that.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
I love it.

Speaker 14 (28:53):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
So your new album Here for It All is out
next week. How do you feel. I feel excited about it.
I just saw it backstage like for the first time. Really, Yes,
what a great feeling.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Is there a song that you're most excited for people
to hear? And why?

Speaker 14 (29:08):
I just want them to experience the album, so it's
more of a whole vibe than just like one of
the one singles.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Now you also, we are in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
You just announced Christmas time in Las Vegas your residency.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Yeah, Christmas in Vegas. Why is this the perfect place
to celebrate.

Speaker 14 (29:26):
Because people can come to me. That's how it is,
That's how it's you know, it's it's going to be
a Christmas extravaganza.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
We cannot think about Christmas without Mariah. I just have
to say that, how has vulnerability shaped the way that
you write songs to connect with people?

Speaker 14 (29:44):
I think it's sort of like if you come from
a place of vulnerability, other people do as well, and
so they're reading the lyrics and hearing the words that
you're seeing and you know, a lot of people connect
that way.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
And it's timeless.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
So I have to say, all right, well, Mariah, you
have not one, but two titles on Audible. You almost
have too many talents, gifted writer and songwriter being one
of them. Can you tell us about the process of
how you do your own writing.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
It depends on what I'm doing.

Speaker 14 (30:15):
Like sometimes it'll just be a song that'll come to
me and maybe I'm there, like like, it depends on
who I'm working with. But let's say I'm working with
a piano player that I love, like my musical director
Daniel Moore. I'll just start singing the melody or he'll
start playing, and we'll kind of go follow each other
and then you know, I take it and write the lyrics.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Well, it's working, all right.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
And we cannot think of Mariah Carey without thinking about romance.
You are the queen of all things romance. What inspires
you for your own romance? Writing with hair for it all?

Speaker 14 (30:50):
H Each song has its own kind of it's got
its own I don't want to say like vibe, but
it does. And so sometimes it'll be a love on
that's kind of like an up tempo thing that people
can feel that way. And then there are the ballads.
We have the ballads on this one.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah, well the first two singles. I see both of those,
so I love it. But thank you so much, Mariah.
We appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 14 (31:15):
Thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
All right, Well, thank you so much to Mariah Carey
for joining us and for giving me the pleasure of
having a conversation before she got on stage at the
iHeartRadio Music Festival. Don't forget her album is out this Friday.
And when we come back, y'all, this is your show.
So you have the last.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
Word tapping to get your voice heard?

Speaker 2 (31:33):
What the word?

Speaker 10 (31:35):
Here?

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Is the last word?

Speaker 3 (31:36):
On Way Up with Angela?

Speaker 8 (31:37):
Yee?

Speaker 1 (31:38):
What's up? His Way Up with Angela? Yee? I'm here,
Mano's here, right, I know that's right, Mano.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Today after the show, we're gonna be talking to Mari Povich.
You know how big that is?

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Huge pulls.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
I cannot wait to find out about you are not. Yeah,
so Mayo's doing some paternity testing.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
So I'm not. No, I'm not watch up on me day.
I ain't got no issues.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yes, thank you the Mariah Carey for joining us at
the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
You had a chance to hear that. Thank you, guys.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
I'm so happy to be back at work on this
renovation Monday. And as you know, this is your show,
so right, you have the last word and you might
be far.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
Hi, Angela, I'm just wanted to share my deepest, darkest secret.
I've secretly been fantasizing about treating all my impotent husband.
It's been two years and it's just a thought that
comes into my head from time to time. Thank you, yes, ma'am.
I love you guys.

Speaker 10 (32:42):
I listen to you every morning. It's a take coming
from making Georgia. I want to find out line up
with myself.

Speaker 11 (32:48):
I deserve it.

Speaker 10 (32:49):
I love others. I treat people with respect. I go
up and beyond. That's the favorite coup to try to
bring joy into other people, like really to what it
cost me. But that's just me.

Speaker 7 (33:02):
I'm a friend.

Speaker 10 (33:03):
I love heart, I love deep. I love you guys.
Keep doing what you're doing.

Speaker 4 (33:08):
Going way out with Angela.

Speaker 10 (33:11):
