but he's also produced some of the biggest afrobeats hits
that are out right now, So shout out to Young John.
I think his first really really big song wdo ended
up getting on that and getting on the remix and
things have been up up up. He started off as
(01:17):
a producer. Now he's an amazing solo artist. He broke
records on Spotify, so shout out to him. He'll be
joining us today. In the meantime, let's spread some love
and some positivity. Let's shine a light eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty Call us up. Let

So spreading love to those who are doing greatness.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Shine a light on them, Shine a light on.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
It's time to shine a light on them.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
All right, it's way up with Angela, and you guys
should join me in shining a light today. Today, we're
going to shine a light on somebody who works right
up here at iHeart and that would be Miss Sydney Brown,
our digital content manager. It's also her birthday today. Now.
I remember when Sydney first started. This was actually before
the pandemic and she was part time and she was
(02:09):
really commuting here. I believe she's from Philly. If I'm
not mistaken. She would kill me for that because she's
very Philly but yes, I remember when she first started,
she was part time. She was grinding it out, traveling, commuting,
coming up here. Oh here she is. And now she's
in the room with us today every single day as
our digital content manager at iHeart. I know it's not
(02:29):
an easy job. It's NonStop. I will say, every single
time I hit her up, she responds immediately. And I
remember her coming with us to iHeart Festival for the
first time and just taking care of business. And she's
got her cute little braids in today. What are those
boho braids? You know it's a new mermaid okay style,
mermaid style, So she's a mermaid today, you know. So
happy birthday, Sydney. How you feeling I'm feeling good. Thank
(02:52):
you so much for the shout out.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
Angel.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
I'd love to do with it, so thank you for
letting me do it. She's so political. Look her, and
she's at work on her birthday and she does her
own content too, so you can watch her interviews as well. Period.
Speaker 7 (03:04):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
All right, Well, who do you guys want to spread
some left to? Who do you want to shine a
light on? Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty
Brian who do you want to shine a light on.
Speaker 8 (03:13):
I just want to start a light on my wife.
Speaker 9 (03:16):
She's amazing. Her name is Jessica.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
We're from New Jersey.
Speaker 8 (03:19):
My kid named Jaden and Tamara and Elijah, and they
they're amazing man, and they definitely got me where I
am today.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
So well, tell me a little bit more.
Speaker 8 (03:28):
I was one of them knucklehead kids, I guess. And
when I had my kids, I had a stout everything.
And when I met my wife, she just holds everything.
Without her, it would just be chaos in my house,
like all down. She does everything, and I just really
appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
All right, Well, thank you Brian for Colin. Shout out
to you, said Jessica. Right, yep, Jessica, all right, thank
you so much for Colin.
Speaker 8 (03:48):
All right, thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
That was shining light. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you could leave
a message and shine a light for last word, when
we come back. We got your eut And this whole
fifty cent and camera partnership has turned into something that
Damon Dash is now commenting on. This back and forth
is not going to stop. I hope they sit down
at some point, but we'll give you some details. It's
(04:10):
way up, this says the rooms from industry shade to
all of gods.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
How Angela's feeling that?
Speaker 9 (04:19):
All right?
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Its way up at Angela? Yeah, and it's a Manada
hour man who has been out. Saya hasn't slept in
two weeks for his birthday. All right, Well, let's get
into some yet. Now, fifty cent is going to be
taking Paid in Full to your TV screen. He's secured
the rights to that very classic movie and he's going
(04:40):
to make it, like we said, a TV series, and
Cameron is going to be joining the project. He's an
executive producer alongside fifty cent. What do you think about that?
Speaker 6 (04:48):
For them?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Well, some people are not so happy about it. And
when I say some people, that means damon dash because
clearly Paid in Full was his movie. And here is
what damon day. I just have to say, Cam just made.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
A post major announcement.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
I want to congratulate him for making fifty.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
His new boss, and you're proud of it.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Congratulations all right, well, Cameron responded, So we've been talking
about this for a few months now and it's almost time.
Thanks fifty cent for the opportunity and where we're gonna
burn this ish down. And you know, Cameron of course
went back at Damon Dash for that.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
For what he say back to him, Well, basically.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
He was saying that he's always he's always talking about
these things on the streaming services. So he's getting his
low views by doing that. So that's that. What do
you think that's not a bad thing?
Speaker 6 (05:40):
Though, No it's not. I mean it's business.
Speaker 10 (05:43):
I mean, look, pushing a culture like if people love
paid in full and then it's turned into a series,
why not and why not have Cam do it? Because
he wasn't a movie well known for that, right he
was the start of the first movie, right, so I mean,
look why not?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, I agree with that. But in the comments, I'm
trying to see exactly what Cameron said in the comments.
I want to get that for you. Hold on, hold on,
hold on, Oh here it is he said. He said,
you really turn into a chatty patty tagging me every
post and where get cut out of TV series every day?
Speaker 11 (06:17):
B GB.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Alright, you're only doing this for clicks. This is the
most action you ever get in your channel.
Speaker 12 (06:22):
Ever.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
You're welcome from now on, my little n word go
to the store for me real quick.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
I hate to see that though.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I told you they were so tight. This feels like
something that a conversation could have if they would just
speak to each other.
Speaker 6 (06:35):
But we got used to, you know, going back and
forth on the internet.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
All right now. NAS put out a teaser yesterday for
a new Mob Deep album and it's called Infinite.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
Are you excited for me?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Me too?
Speaker 13 (06:49):
No?
Speaker 6 (06:49):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Was the first ever Mob Deep single.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
Oh June I hell I said single? That was the album?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah, that was the album because people don't even realize
that it came out first. They had hit it from
the back from the remember that.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
Yeah too?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
See all right, anyway, this upcoming release is going to
be their first album since twenty fourteen, and their first
since Prodigy passed in twenty seventeen, and it's going to
be entirely produced by Havoc and the Alchemists, and they
have confirmed that it's complete. We have a snippet.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
We didn't have no traice but to make ill songs, and.
Speaker 10 (07:25):
We really dug deep and was like, all right, let's
do it man with these lyrics, the beats, the small the.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
World, all right, that is j ut when we come back,
we have about last night where we discussed what we
did last night. I was outside. When I say outside,
I mean really, I ran it's another man yesterday. We'll
discuss its way night.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
So about last night.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
I went down, No woop, it's way up at Angela.
Speaker 14 (07:55):
Yee.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
I'm here, Mano's here, no man, and it's time for
our About last night. You haven't been here a long time.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
I was just here. I was just here. I only
missed yesterday.
Speaker 12 (08:06):
No.
Speaker 10 (08:06):
I had a long weekend and because of that, I
had to take one day off.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
You had surprise, a surprise birthday party.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
Surprise birthday birthday parties?
Speaker 2 (08:16):
How was that?
Speaker 10 (08:17):
I thought I was going to a meeting in a
civilian shout out to my god Dave, and we was
talking about doing something over there twice a month. So
he was like, yeah, come meet my boss. And he
told me this when I was away, when I was
in Cowboy, he told me this. So I said, I'll
be here Saturday. And I had a rough night Friday nights.
When I got up, he was like, can you be
here at ten o'clock? I said, all right, cool. I
(08:37):
got there at ten o'clock and it was a whole surprise.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Ah, you walked in. I think was it Johnny Newnya's.
Speaker 10 (08:43):
Day taking the Yeah, everybody's there, My brother and Herbie
did that shout out the mouse and Herbie Fad was there,
Remy was there.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
Everybody was there, my whole.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
But not everybody. I didn't make it. I wasn't away. Yeah,
you wasn't invited. But that's cool.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
You know what we're gonna have to dress. You don't
have to.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
We got to see what happened. I was away though,
so if that still want to do wanted to say no, yes,
still got to be able to say no. And well,
yesterday I was recording lift service. So we have four
bats coming out today. And you know he just recently
got married. I know you saw that girl, the grady
(09:25):
baby n me shout out to her. But yes, so
I didn't think he was gonna make it just because
he got married.
Speaker 6 (09:33):
Black love still exists.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yeah, but he's a man of his word. So you'll
get to hear that episode later today. But in the meantime,
speaking of lip service, a guess who formerly was on
lip service, our girl pretty Brayer from Detroit. I was
holding this topic because I wanted to discuss and I
was like debating in my head what would I do?
So we want to pick a side. Today she had
this conversation. People were this went viral of her saying
(09:58):
that she took twenty days in g over two years probation.
Listen to this, get.
Speaker 13 (10:03):
Ready with me to go do twenty days in jail.
I really thought I was gonna get out of two days.
My options was two years probation or twenty days jail,
and I chose jail.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
So yep, Now I want to ask, what would you
have picked?
Speaker 6 (10:17):
Give me that twenty twenty days in jail?
Speaker 10 (10:19):
Give me the twenty because I don't want to be
on probation for two years and have to watch.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
What I'm doing, have to report, And he would definitely.
I don't want to. I want to live free. I
need to be free. Baby.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, I think you should definitely pick the twenty days.
If I if I was an attorney, and I would
have to make a recommendation. Now I'm doing two years probation.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
Why because you're not gonna get in no kind of.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
I'm good like I would be honest. I've never even
had a police officer put handcuffs on me.
Speaker 6 (10:49):
But that's very that's that's very admivable.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I've never been arrested. Oh my gosh, come here, let
me knock on work. I've never been arrested.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
That was word, that's not words.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Not so the thought of me having to like get
booked and like go to jail and right, you know,
hang out, so you'll take I would take two years probation.
All right, we want to hear you guys pick aside.
What would you pick? Twenty days in jail or two
years probation. I would love to hear what y'all have
to say. Twenty days in jail, two years probation, eight
(11:20):
hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us
up again. That's eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Pick aside.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
It's not just right or wrong. It's about what you believe.
It's time to pick aside and.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Stay there all right?
Speaker 2 (11:34):
This way, yeah, puty angela, ye, I'm here, Mano's here,
exel you and we're doing pick aside. This is based
off a pretty brayer. Here's what you had to say.
Speaker 13 (11:42):
It ready with me to go do twenty days in jail?
I really thought I was gonna get out of two days.
My options was two years probation or twenty days jail, and.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
I chose jail. So yep, all right. It turned into
a big debate online and you said, Mano, you would
rather do twenty days in jail twenty days? I said,
I would rather do two years probation. And we want
to hear what you guys have to say. This is
a pick aside. I'm also asking chat GPT what would
they do in this situation, And you want to know
what chat GPT would do.
Speaker 6 (12:11):
What would chat GPGV.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
Chat GPT is saying it depends on your situation, and
they have a whole list of pros and cons. It's
over relatively quickly. The twenty days, no long term supervision,
no risk of violating probation you lose, but you do
lose twenty days of freedom right away, can impact your
family or reputation, and be harder on your mental and
physical health. Two years probation you avoid jail as long
as you follow the rules, and it's less disruptive to
(12:35):
your life day to day. But it's a long time
to be under supervision. So I'm gonna go with what
I said. Now, Lola, you pick aside.
Speaker 11 (12:44):
Twenty days, right.
Speaker 9 (12:45):
You know it is a funny story behind this because
I tried to do two years before. I mean I
tried to do twenty days before.
Speaker 13 (12:51):
I was like, try to tell me I had to
do to two years, so you know twenty days because
what what'snock this out?
Speaker 2 (12:58):
What you did two years?
Speaker 9 (12:59):
I had to do two years sobation?
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Oh you cobation?
Speaker 3 (13:02):
But why is there twenty day?
Speaker 6 (13:04):
So how was the two years probation for you?
Speaker 2 (13:06):
It was Pabolts right, and they.
Speaker 9 (13:08):
Gave me community service right after the two years?
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Oh wow, wow, you got played with all right?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Thank you for calling.
Speaker 11 (13:15):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Thank you snug playing. What's good?
Speaker 5 (13:18):
Hey?
Speaker 12 (13:19):
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on? I gotta take the
twenty days?
Speaker 6 (13:23):
That's right.
Speaker 12 (13:24):
You guys are crazy day Listen, Julie, you just do
not know how it is on them papers will tell
you to do this and that.
Speaker 9 (13:34):
Try to work.
Speaker 6 (13:35):
Preach brother, you got to.
Speaker 12 (13:37):
Hear on the plane. You got to be here.
Speaker 9 (13:39):
You ain't got time for that, you know, time for
no probation and signed up.
Speaker 12 (13:44):
You ain't got time for that.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
I don't wanna get.
Speaker 12 (13:47):
Them twenty days over with they get them.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
You don't have time to do twenty days.
Speaker 6 (13:51):
Tell Angela go to jail. You're gonna go to jail.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Why did you wish that on me?
Speaker 12 (13:57):
You know, I'm not saying you're going to jail. I'm
saying us to do that, and you go ahead and
do the probation. I'm gonna give you six months on
that probation and you're gonna be like, hey, I'll tell
you what, just tell only give me them twenty days.
Everybody think jail, you get stanned and oh.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
My god, another place. God, I will say, people out me.
I will say, though jail does seem like good networking.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
It became a millionaire at least, right, there's some good networking.
I don't see people go to jail come home. I'm
sign a nonprofit.
Speaker 6 (14:38):
You could do some podcasts and lift service in there, like.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
I mean recause afterwhere I can really monetize this year.
Speaker 10 (14:44):
Well, I'm trying to tell you that you come out
there with jail, you do a jail podcast, you start
speaking at jails, we give advice on how to do bids.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I'll be on the board for Reform Alliance.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
You've been a professional at the twenty one.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Hey, guys, tell what should we do? I can't believe
y'all are advocating for going to jail.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
This is crazy.
Speaker 12 (15:05):
A thank you for calling, listening to y'all. I listen
to y'all every morning. I'm at work right now, jump truck.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Okay, Well they listen to us in jail too, for sure.
Speaker 12 (15:14):
So this networking that you talking about got me. This
job got me my CEO streetlight over with.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
All right, thank you, thank you. I'm gonna think about it.
I'm still doing the probation. Guys. All right, well, it
looks like everyone is advising the twenty days in jail.
So y'all picked a side. I'm going to do the road.
Let's traveled. When we come back, we got your yee
te And Marlon Walliams was with Kai San and he
(15:42):
talked about the one thing that y'all men be so
nervous about, being bald. He does not care about that,
but will tell you why. It's way up.
Speaker 9 (15:49):
She's about to the.
Speaker 5 (15:50):
Lid off this spot. Let's get it angelus building that
ye come and get your tea.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
All right here, I am, I have my headphones, got
all the way over there. But let's get into this
et now. Meek mill is asking for five million dollars.
He wants to get some upcoming He posted I need
five MS and funding for book, album and short film.
These label deals not looking fair at all. They ruined
the game basically, But I can reboot the whole thing. Well,
(16:17):
I can't get the same attention as a tech investment
and wrap what the helly?
Speaker 6 (16:21):
So give him that five mill y'all.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Let my dog do all right? Now? Diddy is going
to federal court this fall. A judge is going to
rule on his motion for acquittal following a partial conviction
in that case that he had, you know, the seven
week child ended with a split verdict. They found him
guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution involving accusers
Cassie and Jane Doe. So the judge is going to
(16:47):
decide this in just a few weeks. So we'll see
what happens when they decide. What's what he's gonna get?
All right. What he's convicted of, by the way, carries
a maximum sensus of ten years for each of the
two counts, and it's going to be sentenced on October third,
unless the judge dismisses those convictions or grants him a
new trial on the charges that he is contesting each.
(17:12):
All right, now, Marlon Wayams was on Kai Sannot and
he talked about embracing baldness and said he does not
care about losing his hair. And I will say, this
is a conversation a lot of us have had up
here about men and their hair and things like that.
Here's what he said. Wait, look at I don't care
(17:33):
about hair?
Speaker 6 (17:34):
Why because I got that big You donna beat the energy.
You can't care about her?
Speaker 2 (17:39):
You still care about hair?
Speaker 6 (17:42):
All right?
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Well, there you go. I think some guy is a
good ball too. You just have to maintain it, Like
maintaining baldness is not easy. You gotta shave your head baldness,
you know, like you can't have the stubble on the side.
You have to make sure that right.
Speaker 10 (17:57):
You have a hairrdad full of Yeah you really do.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Congratulations. Everybody else got quiet?
Speaker 6 (18:04):
All right, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Now let's talk about since we're talking about Kays and
I really enjoyed watching Kiky Palmer's clips from streaming with Kai.
And as a matter of fact, she's such a good
sport and so funny where Kai thought that she was
married a Blige And here's what happened.
Speaker 10 (18:23):
Real love, real love.
Speaker 15 (18:28):
Someone that's at my heart free Will you know it's
me Mary Jay? I mean, I mean hellollllll the.
Speaker 10 (18:48):
School track damn.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
You is real that she was married.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Maybe I don't know. You know, kids don't be knowing
who people are. Yeah, it's interesting to talk about. Now.
Chris Brown's Breezy bol tour is being filmed for a
major release, according to the Jasmine Brand. They said that
he's currently filming that tour and it's going to come
out in theaters. There's not an official release date yet,
(19:15):
but there's a major production company behind the project. I
think it only makes sense. You know what else I
think about Chris Brown, His interactions with his fans got
to be part of that too, you know, the things
that you don't see on stage. And I think that's
also you know, his meet and greets, even seeing those,
because those have been fascinating for people. We see everybody
trying to do these meet and greets now the way
that he does them. So I think that could be
(19:36):
really interesting to see. And he's a great performer. So
all right, Well that is your yet when we come back,
we have under the radar. These are the stories that
are not necessarily in the headlines. They are flying under
the radar, but you need to know about them anyway.
Apple has their huge announcement today. We'll give you the
details that we know thus far. Right now, let's hear
some little Wayne A Millie. I just I just saw
(19:58):
something about him on tik talk to. It's way up
the news.
Speaker 5 (20:03):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I'm up, okay, sorry, I was listening to something else.
I'm multitasking over here. One is all right, Well, let's
get into some of these under the radar stories.
Speaker 13 (20:23):
Now.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
There was a decomposing body that was found dumped in
a Tesla and they said this car was reportedly registered
to a New York born singer, David who is David
Anthony Burke. He's twenty years old. He's from Queens and
he's from Queens. He was Queens born. They don't know
the identity of the victim, but the car has Texas
(20:43):
license plates. They said it's been in the lot for
roughly five days. There was a stent coming from it
and that's when they found the bags dashed in the
trunk that had human remains in it. And so David
is an artist with you know, billions of streams and
he's on tour right now. He has a show in
Minneapolis schedule for tonight and then he'll be in la
(21:03):
later this month. Now, reps for the musician have not
yet commented on what's going on here. Well, okay, I
mean maybe he's that all right today. Also, Apple is
going to announce the latest iterations of the iPhone, the
Apple Watch, and AirPods. They have their annual event that
starts at one pm Eastern time. This is always their
(21:26):
most important event of the year. So we have to
see what they're going to end up doing for the
new iPhone because the prices are also, according to analysts,
going to be raised because of the tariffs. And they
said they don't expect any major Apple Intelligence announcements. They're
hoping for some clarity on what they're going to be
doing for their AI strategy moving forward. But you know,
(21:48):
it's going to be a big hit for these iPhone
price increases, so they expect, according to Morgan Stanley analysts,
that Apple will raise the price of the iPhone Pro
model by one hundred dollars and list the iPhone Air
for one hundred dollars more than the mid range iPhone
sixteen plus. So get ready for that. Are you gonna
get the new iPhone?
Speaker 10 (22:08):
I'm gonna have to because this one will stop working.
That's what they do every.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Time I don't have a choice. Listen, where's Samsung in
the midst of all this? All right? Well, that is
you're under the radar. We do have the Way Up
Mix coming for y'all at the top of the hour.
Plus we have a super special guest joining us today.
Young John is gonna be here. He has an album
coming out next month. It's called Blue Disco. But you know,
he started off as a producer for some of the
(22:32):
biggest afrobeats artists and now he's got his next project dropping.
He broke all kinds of records when he put out
his album before, so this one is gonna be amazing
as well. We got the Way Up Mix at the
top of the hour. Let's party up, party it up,
and let's have a surprise party for me now, all right,
it's way up. Just like the like they Angela Jean,
(22:55):
like they Angela Jean.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
She's spilling it all. This is yeaty.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yeah, it's way but Angela, Yeah, I'm here, my guy,
and let's get right into this et. So four bats.
His episode on lip Service is coming out today, and
as y'all know, we saw wedding pictures over the weekend
with him and Anicia nice Well. He talked about how
they even met and how he actually hit it with
that follow We.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
Met at DT. I'm having an interview. I see his
little lifecirrel girl walk by and I'm just looking. I
was stood up at the interview and I told to
her and I was like, hey, I love your music.
Shed I love your music too, And that was it. Okay,
I've seen on the internet. Gave her the follows. She
applied to a couple of stories, she applied a couple
of minds, and then we had a mutual friend that
was just like, ain't okay both y'all act similar.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
If y'all dated, it would be crazy.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
She gave me a number. First time we talked, we
was on the phone, Lily all night.
Speaker 10 (23:52):
Oh it was all night that moment talking about right here,
black love still exists, It's gonna happen for me.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
You know what I'm saying. Okay. Well, in addition to that,
he also towards the end of the interview was giving
her a shout out and apparently she's a great cook.
Speaker 16 (24:10):
See Alicia, I know you're looking at this very I
love you. I'm coming home after this. I know they
got me roped up and real quick. You know what
I'm saying, I'm coming home. You know what I'm saying.
Wait for a nice, hot, warm meal and let's forget
that she You ain't gonna get to that. The one
thing about Ana I people dont Knowice Lissa can cook
her as okay, I'm lead at that. I can talk
with her, girl.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Oh, you can talk about her all day. It's so
interesting because I had her on the way up at Angela. Yee,
well she did. But I know before the interview they
were like, can we not focus on her relationship before
bats too much? Because I think it's hard also, and
he and I discussed that before the interview when you're
dating somebody, but all people want to do is like
forget that you have a project out. Her Grady Baby
project was coming out. They focused more on so how Johnny,
(24:54):
how did you know? But he was excited to talk
about it, but I'm gonna have something like that though
I cannot wait.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
Baby.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
All right, Well, another potential couple. I don't know if
it's gonna work out in the future, but teen Mom
Too alumni Janelle Evans is saying that Lil Wayne slid
into her DMS and actually flew her out. Here's what
she had to say. Little Tunechi be in mine.
Speaker 15 (25:22):
I said say no more king, and he flew me
out and I met him and things were cool.
Speaker 13 (25:27):
Did I hook up with them?
Speaker 9 (25:28):
No?
Speaker 15 (25:29):
Did he want to?
Speaker 6 (25:30):
Yes?
Speaker 15 (25:31):
I just said I wanted to go out to dinner
and get to know each other first, and he just
wanted to jump into it.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
So I just I just went back home.
Speaker 15 (25:39):
He's like, okay, I'll flow you back home.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
He just wanted to get right into it. And she
was like, no, thanks, I think that's commendable. Though she
comes out yes very and she's like no, and he's like,
all right, I'll fly you back home. Because some people
would have been like, oh, well, good luck, you know
what I mean, or they have been aggressive, but yeah,
there it is. And people don't you know, people don't
(26:04):
believe her too, by the way they think her story
is fake. Here's what you have to say about that.
Speaker 10 (26:09):
The seriously did happen?
Speaker 3 (26:10):
I mean I he didn't have me sign an NDA
and at first I didn't believe it was him until
he facetiming.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
He's really respectful, really nice. It was a fun experience.
Speaker 15 (26:20):
And yeah, I didn't have to leave my phone at
the hotel.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
So that's her entire story. That would be a weird
thing to lie about, but she said he facetimed there,
So there you have it. I don't know, well that
is your yet and when we come back, we have
asked yee. Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty
is a number. I'm here with the award winning advice
giving Mano. This is your theme song too, by the way,
(26:44):
and he's from Brooklyn Leon Thomas. Here's Mutt.
Speaker 5 (26:48):
Whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.
Speaker 15 (26:51):
You should know?
Speaker 6 (26:52):
This is ask gee what's up?
Speaker 2 (26:54):
His way up? But Angela, yeah, here with the award
winning advice giving me knew know and we have a
voicemail for asking ye today. Here is the person.
Speaker 9 (27:05):
I have a beautiful wife of the last twelve years.
When I first met my wife, her sister was a
little bit of flirtation tonight of my already they had
stayed over and something happened. And he's got a twelve
year old daughter, and I want to tell my girl
what I'm trying to work on, trying how to do it.
I think I should tell him, but like I said,
(27:27):
I don't want to mess up on marriage. So hit
we ll let me know what I did.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Ooh, that's a lot going on right here. So first
of all, I don't know if he's gotten the baby
tested a paternity test to make sure that twelve year.
Speaker 6 (27:38):
Old is his, because you don't know for sure it.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Yeah, so I don't know about it. But if he
doesn't know for sure, definitely get tested and find out.
Make sure that's your baby before you go and blow
up your marriage. And then if it is yours, and
let's say he does already knows his what advice would.
Speaker 10 (27:52):
You give He did a dumb move if he was
going to hit the sister, Never get the sister pregnant.
Speaker 6 (27:57):
That's the first thing.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Don't do it.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
If you was gonna do it, don't get a pregnant.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
And the day of your wedding, the night of your
wedding is wild, like you literally just got married. Why
weren't you in the room with your wife? You know,
these are the secrets that really tear families apart. And
what I'm also concerned about is this twelve year old
because imagine being twelve and finding that information out. Whoever
you thought your father was isn't your father, And it's
really like, how are you going to look at your
(28:24):
own mom and your father? How are you going to
look at them? So I would actually want to consult
with an expert and some type of family therapist before
I even broach this, because this is going to be
something that has long lasting effects on everyone. And maybe
it is something because your child is for sure going
(28:44):
to have to be in therapy.
Speaker 6 (28:45):
No easy way to say this neither.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Step one, get that paternity test, make sure that's really
your child. Step two, let the system know it's time
for us to let your you know, let my wife
know what really happened between us, and be prepared to
move your stuff out the damn house because it may
not end well. Step three, you need to have a
conversation with your wife before y'all even and as a group,
(29:08):
you guys need to talk together to the child, to
the twelve year old. But before you even talk to
the child, talk to a family therapist, because this is
going to be something that happen to Yeah, no matter what,
you guys are all family, and so even if you
can't stand each other, you're going to have to deal
with each other.
Speaker 10 (29:24):
And they've probably got kids, right, So if the child's
growing up thinking her cousins are thinking that those.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Are are siblings. Yeah, yeah, so this is something that
happened twelve years ago, So just get prepared to answer
a whole lot of questions, but for sure, go through therapy.
Make sure that you do things the best way possible
and know that a mistake that you made twelve years
ago resulted in a child and potentially end in your marriage.
(29:50):
All right, Well that is ask ye eight hundred and
two ninety two fifty one fifty. We do take your
voice messages. You can go on that iHeartRadio app and
click that microphone leave a message in a a question
that way, and when we come back, Young John is
going to be joining us. You know, he has got
two new singles out right now cha featuring Asake and
also cash Flow featuring whiz Kid. But He's also a
(30:12):
renowned producer, a renowned artist. He's got a new album
on the way next month. It's called Blue Disco.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
It's way up and about to do this most famous
women in radio vidio.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
We're talking about Angela here. You're way up with Angela. Ye.
Please believe that.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
What's up? His way up with Angela?
Speaker 15 (30:29):
Yee.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I'm here with my girl Jasmine Brands. You know how
we do. We already got young John feeling like, damn,
what am I getting myself into? How we feeling?
Speaker 3 (30:38):
I'm feeling good. It feels good to be uppy, to
be in great confident.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
So, okay, see here is so charming, just like we
knew he would. Knows what he's doing clearly. What is
cha mean anyway? And cha cha because the song with
a Sock that you have out right now, slade.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
Ful check you know, make up on check okay.
Speaker 6 (30:57):
Check check that off y.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
We were trying to figure it out. We were, yeah,
I mean it sounds like an affirmation.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Yeah, I lose, I lose. Poooo Judge. I just went
like seventeen judge Jet.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Judge check check. But if you double check it, it's
like extra good. You got your money right, he was
going to say check chick. Okay, right now we're talking
to young John. He is literally one of the biggest
producers and artists from Africa in the world. Twenty twenty
four was an amazing year for you. Jiggie Forever forty
(31:30):
weeks on Spotify's top ten and it had two hundred
I think at one point two hundred million streams. It
was a huge, huge record for the year. How did
you feel when you realize, like this is not just working,
it is overly working.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
You know, everything is a joinus. So I feel like
with every milestone it like fwols your drive for like
the next face you.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
People always look at you and think that you're like
very private and you don't like to give up. But
there's times on stage is that there's been people always
speculate on like who you're dating and who you're with.
How is that aspect of it for you? Because this
is not something you really pursued necessarily, but there's a
lot of things that come with it.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
I love things going with everything you want to He's
so good at this politician. Yeah, well, like right now
on the point that I me in life, everybody loves love.
Love is one of foot. Well, I'm not really in
that space where I can give so much of myself
to one person, So I'm.
Speaker 6 (32:21):
Just keeping it like.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Have you tried it though and then failed at it?
Like you tried it?
Speaker 6 (32:26):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Was it something that like hit the headline?
Speaker 13 (32:29):
You know?
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Did it make news?
Speaker 3 (32:30):
And it's quite complicated.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Young John is here and we're gonna have more with
him when we come back. He's got a new album,
Blue Disco, on the way next month. He's broken all
kinds of records with his previous albums, and we'll learn
more about blue Disco when we come back. It's way up,
bud ye what you're all being waiting for.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
You?
Speaker 5 (32:54):
Way up with Angela Ye?
Speaker 2 (32:56):
What's up? His way up with Angela Yee? And Nigeria's
own a young and is here with us today. Now
what is blue disco?
Speaker 3 (33:02):
It's a feeling. It's actually wrote a poem for blue disco,
but I will share another day.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
I want to hear it.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
Are you sure?
Speaker 15 (33:10):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (33:10):
We absolutely, that's fine.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
We have time, all right. So we rise from concrete
crack or bold bills from anger gret and gold chill swells,
but we don't fold. We move in reading blue disco,
Long night on with tireless breadths, chasing dreams, define death,
sweat and silence. Shape was next grace in motion blue disco.
(33:34):
You came to field, but now you know there's no
escape from blue disco just shadows words into to too.
So siep the dark and embrace the slow, scars and shine.
We wear them boots, dancing true, the dust and growths.
The climb is are the pen is ot all becomes
light are blue disco. This is no temple for the pure,
but the broken came yet to endure. The riding is
(33:56):
rough for the penny's pure. A truth we dance to,
not the care. So when they ask us how did
we survive, we say we danced, we bomb and we
stayed alive in the wreckage. You're well found out our
glow or become slight.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
Our blue dischool I was amazing.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
I don't expect I mean, I don't know why didn't Yeah,
I didn't know if you were joking, And then you're
that gave us all.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Yeah, okay, yes, that's basically blue school.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Right now we're talking to young John. He is literally
one of the biggest producers and artists from Africa in
the world. So is that something you created?
Speaker 3 (34:29):
My brother and my friends we are really into like
this motion depending on everything is what's gonna make us
into what we're going to be, you know. So the disco,
you know the discos they dance like the dances, the
dance of pain, the dance of whatever it is you're
going through. You just have to dance through it. And
when you're done with all of this, it's gonna make
you into like that next version of you that you're supposed.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
To really be.
Speaker 2 (34:49):
That feels like there's needs some artwork to go with
it or something visuals. I think you need, Like I'm
not gonna lie that you need like a Blue Discal
art show. I like that right, I'm just trying to
think of the rollout. Yeah, because the project is coming out.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
Yes it is.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
When is the release date for that next monk okay?
And the title is it is Blue Disco Okay? And
do we know like guest appearances because I know you're big.
Speaker 14 (35:11):
We have kid the ones we've heard, we have yah,
we have a couple of records, you know, and you're
keeping some things under wraps.
Speaker 15 (35:22):
Man.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
I do like that cash Flow song though, thank you well.
I appreciate you so much for joining us.
Speaker 3 (35:27):

Speaker 6 (35:29):

when the album comes out, because I know we're gonna
get some more gems. But thank you, We appreciate you.

about whether you would old you yeah.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
Whether you were better do your time.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
Two months in prison or twenty days sorry, twenty days
in prison two months is left twenty days untail or
two years on probation, and everybody said twenty days. I
still say two years on probation.
Speaker 6 (36:40):
You will probation and I'm gonna have to be going
to see you think I would?
Speaker 2 (36:44):
