So of course what did we do? You know what
I feel like these days are all blending your mind,
like what did we do yesterday? Let me left it? Oh,
I thought I had a zoom and then found out
I didn't. I raced home for this zoom and then
found out it was not happening, but no one told me.
But that's cool.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Closet, Yes, we were.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Cleaning out the closet. Well yeah, we looked at it up.
But anyway, let's get this show started with some love
and some positivity. This is the time that people do
spring cleaning. As you're like getting ready for a new season,
You're figuring out what am I getting rid of? What
do I need? What am I keeping? If you're like me,
you gotta like switch the clothes out you got your
summer clothes. Now you gotta put those away.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
And they got a reminisce song, who got Me This
all that?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Okay, let's shine a light eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. We are doing Midwest things today,
so let's see who Chella's going to shine a light
on its way up.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
I'm shine, I'm shine.

Speaker 6 (01:25):
Turn your lights on, y'all. It's spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Shine the light on them, shine a light on them.
It's time to shine a light on them.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, it's way up. But Angela, yee, I'm here with
my girl Teller a h eight And you know what,
since you're not gonna be here to Mary, this is
your last day on Way Up guest hosting for now,
I'm gonna let you shine the lights.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Okay. So I want to shine a light on my girl,
Glizzy Glow. Glizzy Glow.

Speaker 7 (01:52):
She's from Chicago, a female rapper. She's so cute and
I just I'm so proud of her. She got a
real popular song called cut Water.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
And that's funny because you've been at my house drinking
cutwater nine stop, and.

Speaker 7 (02:02):
I've been telling you cut cut cut. You're like, what's that.
I'm like, that's a Glizzie glow. But shout out to her.
She a female, she's a mother. I love that about
her because you know, with being a female artist, you gotta,
you know, set a good example of for your kids.
So I might got she bring her kids to her show.
A manager gmc al that's my boy, and I'm just
proud of her. She just hit a million views.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
A million vie. Okay, Well let's tell a little snippet
of the song in case that the people haven't heard
this cut What a song? Cut cut cut? Hey, if
I'm drinking, tell my cut water. We gotta come on
a y'all be on that cutwork too. I ain't gonna lie.
She came to the house. Tell her but her case
of cut water whatever? All right, now come out to
who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Well, my girl, Ma Carlo, you had a little baby.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
And we're just gonna say we appreciate her for put
of my body on the line to bring you life
and to our family. So we love her.

Speaker 8 (02:54):
We appreciate the other thing she's doing.

Speaker 9 (02:56):
And she's a great mom.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Mikayler, how many kids do you guys have already.

Speaker 8 (03:00):
Oh yeah too.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
We got a new born was born on the third,
and we got a two year old.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Oh wow, you got a like a ten eleven day
old baby.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, all right, well we shine a light on her.
I know that's not easy. And like, I love how
he said, just putting her body on the line, because
having a baby is definitely always something that's like, yeah,
that's a lot. Well, thank you for calling real, appreciate you,
all right, take care. Well that was shine a light
eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty. If
you couldn't get through, you could always leave a message

(03:30):
and shine a light that way. And when we come back,
we got your yet. And let's talk about responses, all right.
And Alie Chopper had some things to say about the interview.
We played some of this yesterday with Kirk Franklin and Javonte.
Davis responds to Clarisia Shiells and what she had to
say about him being scary.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
It's way up, it says in the rooms from Industry
Shade to all of gosp out sending Angela's feeling that EyeT.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
It's way up at Angela. Yeah, I'm here with my
girl Tiela and let's do some yet so Donna Kings.
We talked about this interview that Kirk Franklin had yesterday
and Alie Chappa was on there. Ray j was on there.
It was a pretty good episode. I watched a lot
of it. And one thing that happens was Jonathan Majors

(04:19):
and Elie Chappa had a conversation. They were talking about
the Bible. N Elie Chappa had some things to say
about some issues that he had.

Speaker 10 (04:29):
Listen to this and Christianity, people praise the son more
than they praise the father.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
And that's what I don't like because if.

Speaker 10 (04:39):
We are man made in the likeness Jesus is our brother,
why would I drop down and praise my brother instead
of praising my father.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
And that goes back to honoring your parents. I just
gotta say, sorry, have you read the Bible?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I read the Bible.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I listened to the Bible. I would say read it again.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
And you know Jonathan Major's in this interview he talks
about I think he said his father was a pastor.
Now another thing that happened was now an Elie Chapa
has responded to that clip going viral because a lot
of blogs picked it up. He posted a picture of
himself praying, and then he also posted a picture from
this episode with himself and Jonathan Major's and he said

(05:18):
the eyes they never lie, Chico. And then he posted
read it again, and then he posted pointing to his disciples,
he said, here or my mother and my brothers, for
whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is
my brother and sister and mother. This moment redefines family,
showing that spiritual kinship doing God's will is greater than
biological ties. Anyway, Basically, he's trying to show that he

(05:39):
has read the Bible and give you some scripture to
back up what he said. I don't know. It did
cause a lot of people to have conversations about it, though.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah, it made me wanma go now I got read
it again.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Read it again. But one of the conversations in this
episode was really them going back and forth, and Rey
j actually at one point got up in left because
he felt like Nlie Chopper. I guess he's only twenty
two years old and certain things. You may have learned
a lot and lived a lot of life in his
young age and done more than most, but it still

(06:11):
doesn't make up for the life experience that you had
that only comes with years. And I think that's what
they were trying to say, all right. Another response, Clarista
Shield recently had some things to say about Javonte Davis
and his Jake Paul fights and him potentially retiring after that.
He is what Clarista Shield said, Javonte got skilled up
this world.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
He's a scary dude. Ain't no way he said, he
supposed to.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Come back and get a cord. Damn.

Speaker 7 (06:34):
And Ryan's here female whoop all these ass Now You're like.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
I'm about to retire up the fight, Jake? He he
a man right here.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
Everybody says the best. I didn't even know.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Food on the table.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
When I'm done boxing, I' whooping all these girls ass.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
So who you think of beat Javanta.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Chakor Shakour did an amazing job last fight he had.
I will say he came up here too before his fight,
So I understand what she's saying.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Though.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
As a boxer's boxer, you want to see people fight
the best, and potentially you want to fight where he
could lose. You know what I'm saying. And that's okay.
But Javonte responded and said, stop mentioning me. It's feeding
my ego, and he posted a picture in the made
back of a whole bunch of stacks and stacks of cash.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
So well to each of all. You know, however you
want to build your legacy or and it can your.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Personal choice, right, but as a boxer and a competitor,
people will call you out.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah they will.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
All right, well that is your Yet when we come back,
we have about last night where we discussed what we
did last night. It's spring cleaning time. The weather's changing here.
We'll talk about it. It's way up.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Yeah, it's way up. But Angela, yee. I'm here with
my girl, Cella, and at last night, so last night,
let me see, I was thinking, like, what did we
do yesterday? It feels like the days are all blurring in.
But when I went home, I was trying to it's
gotten a little cold out here, so I was trying
to like rearrange stuff. I'm trying to get rid of
clothes and things like that, because that's the time that

(08:14):
you kind of clear everything out.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
She didn't go so well, I mean, you know, well
you made me that pizza.

Speaker 7 (08:20):
It was so good in the fancy of and it
got ready, and like, I didn't make pizza.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
It's a frozen pizza. Don't say like I made it.
But the other thing we did while you've been here
is you cooked a couple of times. You made pepper chicken,
that's right. And you made tacos with the special shells.
And then I made some like baked zd Yeah it
was real teiny noodles though. But anyway, we both were
cooking during this whole time, and I want to say,

(08:45):
this is the first time I know Tella a long time.
This is the first time you've ever cooked for me.
And I was nervous because you know, sometimes if you
don't like somebody's cooking, how do you let them know?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I was nervous when you was cooking too.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
But see, I ain't cooking, tell you I was cooking
for you. I cooked, and I said, I made food.
If you want something, right, that's it. That's the proper
way to do it. You was like, I'm gonna cook
for ug. I'm about to cook for you. G I'm
gonna make this. I'm gonna make that. You made some broccoli.
I don't eat broccoli, but you didn't know that, you
know what I'm saying. You was like what because you
know I'm picky? Yes you are, and you are too,
so there's a lot of things I don't eat. But
I want to ask you, as you've been cooking for

(09:19):
me and then you know I cooked as well, what
do you do? Have you ever been in a situation
where someone cooked for you and it was not good?

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Oh? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:26):
And how do you handle that? Do you eat it
anyway and just say I'm gonna just be polite? Do
you tell them I don't like it, it's nasty? How
do you handle a situation where somebody cooks for you
and it's just disgusting? You don't want to eat it,
but you still want to be polite and not hurt
somebody's feelings.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
It's the pants on what it is?

Speaker 7 (09:44):
You can just fold it up and put a plate over,
heavy up and throw it in a garbageack like it was.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
So good, okay until they come get the plate from
you and they like.

Speaker 7 (09:53):
Or you can tell them, like I said, it's the
pants on who it is, because I'll be keeping it
on it. Yes you do, so I'll just tell them
what how would you you say it? It depends like
if it was like an older person, I will say, like,
probably get them some recommendations like okay, well do you
use accent.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Or like, and I'll tell them what to do.

Speaker 7 (10:11):
But if it was just nasty, like I've had one
of my friends she made me some broccoli.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Oh and it was so mushy.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Oh yeah, and I'll be disgusting shaggy vegetables. But we
want to hear from you, guys. How do you handle
it when you don't like somebody's cooking? Have you been
in that situation? Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.
How do you handle not liking someone's cooking? The numbers
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. You know
it's holiday time, it's about to happen. It's way up
you way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Yee more now.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah, it's way yup with Angela. Yeah. I'm here with
my girl Chila, right and we're talking about how we
both cooked these past few days. You made some food,
some pepper chicken, You made tacos, I made bake zd.
Fortunately our food was good, but I was nervous. I
was like I never had this woman's cooking before. Vice versa, Yeah,
vice versa. I don't know, but we both liked the

(11:01):
food we did. That's a blessing. Have you ever not
liked someone's food?

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Yes? Often.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Listen. When I was younger, my dad whenever he used
to cook first, it was so awful. I remember my
brother and I used to hide the food in a
napkin and then stick it in something and put it
like in the windowsill. Yes, And one day he found it,
it might have been like months later, and was like,
what is this. It's disgusting.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Bo.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
We used to hide it.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
Look, me and my sister Veronica, my mama used to
make these lama beans, and I don't know how we
ain't get reds and roaches because we used to put
them in a napkin and put them behind a stove.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Yes, everybody used to the food behind the stove. We
should be able to be like, I just don't like this. Yeah,
all right, Well, Dianna, has anybody ever cooked to you
nasty food?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Oh? Yeah, of course.

Speaker 10 (11:45):
I took it to work with me.

Speaker 11 (11:46):
Then I threw it away, So you.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Were like, I'm gonna take this to go?

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Who was it?

Speaker 3 (11:51):
It was an old girlfriend.

Speaker 7 (11:54):
How many times did you do that though? Like, was
it a regular thing?

Speaker 5 (11:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Because once it's one time, it's right.

Speaker 10 (11:59):
It was like a couple of times.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Okay, yeah, all right, thank you for calling, of course.
Than Hey, Portia, So me and Teller want to know.
Have you ever had a situation where somebody could not
cook and like how did you handle it?

Speaker 5 (12:14):
Well?

Speaker 8 (12:15):
So, actually, my mom she used to be a great
cook growing up. She literally started dating this African and
she like switched up her whole like little menu. So
she cooked for me one night and everything was terrible.
I don't know what she did, but I put the
whole flight on the floor so I didn't have to
burn away.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Did you tell him?

Speaker 12 (12:33):
No?

Speaker 8 (12:34):
I never told her. I literally, Oh no, yeah, I
don't want to hurt her feeling.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
All right, well let's get them, let's get around the
line right now. No, I'm kidding. All right?

Speaker 8 (12:42):
Oh I say, girl, you want me to be gone?

Speaker 1 (12:44):
No, I'm kidding. All right. Thank you for sharing with us,
no problem, Thank you? Bye, Hey Candy as men, Tella,
you ever had experience where somebody cooked for you and
a happy Tuesday? It's going up? Have you ever had
a situation where somebody cooked for you when it was nasty. Yeah,
and I told them my honest opinion and showed them

(13:07):
how to prepare it better than they did it. Okay,
so you showed them the right way. But did you
did you eat any of the food or you just
tried it and said no, like a humble you don't
do this. Thank you for calling her. Welcome. You'll have
a blas day.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
She sounds like she could cook too. She sugared that
I know how to cook.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Voice.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
What's the foot in it?

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Berry?

Speaker 9 (13:28):
Good?

Speaker 1 (13:28):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (13:29):
I'm from the block. You rather go down from your block?

Speaker 1 (13:34):
You be on the corner cooking on the grill? No
talk to me. Have you ever had somebody's food and
it was nasty?

Speaker 9 (13:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Telling them it was bad?

Speaker 9 (13:42):
I told him like the food didn't go down?

Speaker 1 (13:46):
So one did they go?

Speaker 11 (13:47):
Then?

Speaker 10 (13:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Where to go?

Speaker 1 (13:48):
If it didn't go down?

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Like, Yo, the fool did go down, it went up?

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Ain't going there?

Speaker 1 (13:54):
So who was this person?

Speaker 3 (13:56):
A long time? I can't even coach for my ball's day?

Speaker 8 (14:00):
And I was like, yo, you sure you let the kitchen.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
I'm gonna cook for y'all. Okay, be I'll have you
I love.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
The block off. I love that. I appreciate that works.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
All right, thank you. I appreciate you calling.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Good morning and enjoy your thak you too well.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Thank you guys for calling eight hundred two nine two
fifty one fifty. We still want to hear your harder
stories about the time that you ate someone's food and
it was disgusting in how you handled it. You can
leave that message for last word. We got your yet
when we come back. And Nicki Minaj posted on her
Instagram stories about somebody or somebody's using her MX card
without permission. We'll give you those details. It's way up,

(14:38):
don't she about to blow.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
The lid ab off this fot. Let's get it?

Speaker 6 (14:40):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that ye te come and get
the tea?

Speaker 1 (14:44):
All right?

Speaker 9 (14:45):
This way?

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Yeup butt the angela yee, but my girl, chill uh.
Let's get into this yet. Nicki Minaj is saying people
were using her MX without permission. She says they are
all going to jail. She said, three different people and
the span of two months charging my AMEX without permission.
Some couldn't even explain how they had the brand new
card number. A couple of them have been doing it
for years. Filed the first report a couple of weeks ago.

(15:07):
They're all going to jail. A fourth person has been
stealing from the arbes. Oh, sitting here smelling like pink
Friday too, fragrance. Nothing like a hot shower to put
everything into perspective. And she said one of the credit
card thieves has also been tracking my moves with a
tracking device that led right to his own cell phone number.
You can't make this ish up? Won't God do it? Yes?

(15:28):
He will. Let's see if they'll go to jail for
their ringleaders. Let's see if they'll save themselves or be
a part of the RICO.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Wow, that's scary.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Now, I did see that Tasha k post is something
about who the person is that she's accusing. So if
you want to see you can go look at her
page and see who she's saying. I don't want to
make no false allegations. I'm sure it's gonna be something
extra all right now. Cops are waiting to find out
what Paul Pierce's blood test results are going to be
after he got arrested for DUI. He said he was

(15:59):
just sleep because he was in standstill traffic for forty
five minutes. He said. He even he even posted a
picture that he took in the middle of this traffic
because he said he's never been in that situation for
that long. He said, I'm old, I'm tired, and I
fell asleep. So they still haven't gotten the results from that.
They said a local crime lab is responsible for processing
the sample, and a timeline for the return of the

(16:21):
results is not known. So you can't just be accusing
people of dui if he literally just fell asleep.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
So I've been there before, so I can relate.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Oh, you fell asleep driving or I have before. That's awful.
They said, driving while you're tired could even be worse
than like sometimes, well they're both equally bad, but they're
saying that could be just as dangerous too.

Speaker 7 (16:44):
Yeah, because you'd be just does off. It happens. It's
not a good thing.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
No, it's a terrible thing.

Speaker 11 (16:49):
It is.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
All right now. Ride Wave is challenging a twenty seven
million dollar lawsuit that was by a promoter. You remember
he canceled nine of his thirty five scheduled shows. The
promoter said they advanced over fifty seven million to cover
performance fees and production costs, and that's when he claims
that rod Wave ditched those shows. They're looking for damages,
lost profits, a court order to block him from promoting

(17:13):
future tours independently. Where rod Wave has responded to that,
he said, Okay, so about the tour, y'all know was
EFTA from the beginning because of production, they had to
cancel and reschedule and it just wasn't making any sense.
The second leg had the same problem. I never missed
a show for nothing personally ever in life. So that's
his response to this twenty seven million dollar lawsuit figure

(17:35):
that he's facing. And lastly, Kylie Jenner has made her
music debut now. She has a song with Terror Junior.
This is also a promo video for her ten year
anniversary of her Kylie Cosmetics. She also brought out her
alter ego, King Kylie and here's what it sounds like.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
Fud okay, Okay.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
That's the fourth strike guy, I kid it all right, Well,
maybe she'll be performing at Power Sessions. No, I don't
think so. She's not on the schedule for that, but
we do have Power Sessions tickets on sale this Friday
with Zeeddi will Cash, Kobay Mariah the Scientist and you
her but performing live December thirteenth in Manhattan at the
Hammersteen Ballroom. Make sure y'all get y'all tickets and when
we come back, we have under the radar. These are

(18:19):
the stories that are not necessarily in the headlines. They're
flying under the radar, but you need to know about them.
It's way up the news news.

Speaker 6 (18:26):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
All right, this way you put Angela. Yeah, I'm here
with my girl Chiella. That's right, and let's go under
the radar now. The head of go fund me, Tim
Kadagan told Yahoo Finance that everything is so challenging financially
for Americans that people are now having to raise money
to do things like buy food. Here's what he said.

Speaker 11 (18:51):
Do we have a category of fundraising we call essentials,
which are things like rent you totally, bill's car, payments,
sort of your basic things you need to get through life.
That category has gone up significantly the last three years
in practically all on.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Markets, you know, he said, more people are asking strangers
to help pay for staples and yeah, I mean this
was on the opening bid Unfiltered podcast where he talked
about how people are doing these things right now and
just what we're in this time period. So along those notes,
I want to give you guys some information that could

(19:26):
potentially be valuable. There's a lot of content creators out there,
so I saw all of these opportunities. Home Depot is
offering free training for eight to back carpentry electricians, dry
wall painting, construction, so they have one hundred percent on
demand and virtual courses. You get a certificate, you can
build your path to pro profile to connect with employers

(19:49):
who are actually hiring. That's something I think, no matter what,
we'll always need right, Yeah, that's what's up you. Universal
Music Group has launched their House of Carmen actually going
to be using in house creator campaigns. So according to
what they've decided why they've decided to do this, Janie Stride,

(20:09):
who is the director of Commercial and Creative Innovation, said,
as creator marketing has continued its growth trajectory, we realize
there was a real need to bring it in house somewhere.
We could house a global creator database, appropriately categorize creators effectively,
and directly communicate with them. So basically they're using their
own in house creators micro influencers, and they'll be paying

(20:30):
them to do TikTok and Instagram content directly for their
artists on Universal Music Group.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
That's what's up now.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Another place where they're looking to hire NBA on Prime,
they're looking for content creators in local markets. They're looking
in LA New York City, Philly, and Memphis, and they
want people to capture moments during games this season. You
can apply for that online as well. So they want
people to just go. If you're passionate about basketball, you
understand the culture, and you know how to do this content,

(21:00):
that's another opportunity. Yeah, so just put that out there
for you guys. As like we've said, it's been tough times.
You know, the typical age of a first time home
buyer in the US used to be thirty three years old.
Yeah right, that was about but that was a while.
But that's forty years ago. You know what the typical
median age of a home buyer is now? What is
fifty six?

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Yeah, so the first time home buyer fifty six years old.
So don't feel bad if you haven't done it yet.
I want to say that and the path to home ownership.
You still can make it happen. Don't feel like you're
behind everybody else. Don't put pressure on yourself. But you know,
I'm all for it, though, I'm all for it, buying
a home.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
And that go far thing. That's real for me, Go
fund me, Yeah, that's real.

Speaker 7 (21:41):
What's crazy is some people will ask you for help,
but help like with weddings and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Like I'm getting married, can you please donate?

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Or you know, I gotta And you don't know what's
real and what's not. Like people will hit you up
anonymously and be like, oh I need to pay for this,
or I want to pay for my kid to go
to school. Yeah, you know, so that is you're under
the radar. We do have your way up Mikes at
the top of the hour, plus ps is gonna be
joining us. Detroit's own Peasy He's still Ghetto. That's the
name of his latest project. We'll talk about it. It's

(22:12):
way up. Well, she's like the talk like they Angela Jean,
like they Angela Jean.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Man, She's spilling it all. This is yet way.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here, my girl.
Tella h is here.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
That's why.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
And we have some breaking news. And at first I
did not believe this when I saw it, but di'angelo
has passed away from pancreatic cancer. He was only fifty
one years old. This has now been confirmed because you know,
first when you see things, you're like, I don't know
if this is true. But Kadar, his former manager, has

(22:49):
confirmed it. Also sources connected to his family as well.
And so you know, Diangela is somebody who personally like
I worked for him. That was my second job out
of college. First was Wu Tang and then I left
that job to go work for di'angelo?

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Right, How was that? How was he as a first son?

Speaker 1 (23:05):
He was great? I remember he this was right before
he did that how does it feel? Video where he
had his shirt and when I tell you, they went
crazy for that. But I remember him training with Mark
Jenkins like every single day. That was his thing. Like
working out really you know, brought him to where he
needed to be even more I think at that time
than being in the studio as much. And you know

(23:26):
that was that was really a groundbreaking, beautifully shot video.
He was planning to put out some new music. Raphael
Sadiq said that he was releasing a new album and
that he was excited about it. And let's not forget
his oldest son he has with Angie Stone. Angie Stone
also passed away earlier this year in a car accident.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Yeah, we was just talking about that.

Speaker 9 (23:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
I literally was just talking about Angie Stone too, because
I have some of her products at my house and
I had a great conversation with her over the pandemic
where we talked about her relationship with DiAngelo at the time.
DiAngelo is also the reason why I know Anthony Hamilton
because Anthony Hamilton used to work with him, you know,
back then, as did Questlove. There were a lot of
great musicians that really, you know, was early on with DiAngelo.

(24:11):
So rest in peace. My condolences to his family. That
is just really sad to hear. I was really hoping
it wasn't true, but it's trending now, and you know,
I don't like to say things until we know that
it's confirmed. All right.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Well.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Lebron recently was on his wife's podcast, Savannah James Is
Everybody's Crazy, and it came out today. He talked about
a lot of different things, including how he basically not
did not want to be alone. Here's what he said.

Speaker 12 (24:41):
I know I don't want to be alone. That's for
damn sure. If I got to fight all scratch whatever
to keep mind, I got to keep it. I got
to do what I got to do. I don't want
to be alone. I'm an only child, single parent household.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
I knew.

Speaker 12 (24:52):
I knew for Shure, and I got around them and
we started traveling, playing sports allot.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
It is amazing.

Speaker 12 (24:57):
Then when I Golevana and I was like, it is crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
I love it all right. In addition to that, he
also talked about settling down really really young.

Speaker 12 (25:07):
Yeah, as far as relationship, you know, having a baby
at a young age and us moving in together. Like
I said, you know, my wife comes from two parent
household and siblings in the house. I don't come from that.
So like me settling down and signing she's gonna be
the one that's in the house and giving her the
key or.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
The garage door cold and us happening.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Like that's different, bro, And you were how old nineteen?

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Randomly, I was there when he proposed to Savannah. It
was a New Year's Eve party in Miami. Really yeah,
I know it's so random that I happened to be
there when that happened. But you know, so shout out
to them, beautiful thing to see that. They like, yeah,
black love. They've been married for such a long time
and you know, still making it happen.

Speaker 11 (25:47):
Man.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
I'm still just a little thrown off with this whole
di'angelo news. It's just definitely like was unexpected. They said
he was secretly battling pancreatic cancer, and you know, pancreatic
cancer is tough, like not too much many people can
come through on the other side. From that, they kind
of say, like the chances of survival are really slam
sar all right. Armiani White was arrested after allegedly filming

(26:10):
a music video in the middle of the interstate. He
got arrested on Sunday. He was dancing on top of
a concrete barrier in the middle of a highway. I
don't feel like that's a reason to arrest. Somebody call
me crazy, but it's like all right, you gotta, you know,
get out of here. But there were nine to one
one calls that says somebody was jumping on the barrier.
He was arrested released within a few hours. Charges are

(26:32):
still pending. His mugshot is hilarious though. I think that's
the best part of the story is how hard he
is smiling in this mugshot because he probably knows we're
all going to see it.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
Yeah, he gotta put it on a T shirt and
sell them.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
That's a great single cover for something. It is all right,
Well that is your yet when we come back, ask
ye eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty call
this sap let us know any question you have. Me
and Shella are here to help me out. That's eight
hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 6 (27:00):
Since whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts,
this is.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
What's up, its way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here
with my girl Tella. H that's right. And let me
tell you something. Chicago is heavy in the building today
and we got Yasmin on the line for ask Ye.
What's your question for ask ye for me and s
Sheella today.

Speaker 8 (27:19):
Okay, I got a real ferious question. What do it
mean when your do or you know, somebody's help to
comment under a female pope or even likee like multiple.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
I mean, what's the comment right.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
Heart or the fire emoji.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Oh the fire emoji and hearts is like we already
know what that is. But the fire emoji? Are these
pictures like sexy pictures? Or is it maybe like somebody
has a business they're posting something positive, you know, because
it depends on what the post is too.

Speaker 8 (27:49):
You know, when you go through their page and you
see their names, like the first.

Speaker 7 (27:52):
Name, Oh yeah, that's very disrespectful. That means he really
want to say some other stuff to her. And I
guarantee you he probably in her DM. That's out of
land if you want a relationship.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
What if it's somebody that you know he's friends with, though,
because I think that matters too, right if that's his
homegirl sis, or she got a business and he's just
trying to like show support for her business or something.

Speaker 8 (28:13):
They like the business part, but they being one though
to like little you know.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
You know my ex boyfriend used to do that and
one day I said something to him about it. Remember
there was a time where you could see on Instagram
who somebody was, like if they were it was. I
don't think you could do that anymore, but you used
to be able to see like if they was commenting
on people's pictures. And I said something to him about it,
and he was like, I don't follow like a whole
lot of people, but when sometimes I'll just like like
everything in my timeline just to like show some love

(28:40):
to everybody.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
Yeah, but you're trying to show too much love. You
worried about the wrong thing exactly, And I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Do y'all leave comments on other guy's pages ever?

Speaker 3 (28:48):
No?

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Okay, well that's fair. You're gonna be mad someone does
it when you do it.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
No, you know what, it's just like, like you said,
I could be supporting them, you.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Still got a problem if he does it.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Well, if he have a problem, my man, tell me
he don't like that, then I'll stop. But I let
him know.

Speaker 8 (29:10):
Every single picture, like you go through all the liking under.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Everyone, every single picture is crazy.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
That mean that's really who he wants.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
But I think that it's time to let somebody know that.
It makes you feel a way like you have to
tell them.

Speaker 7 (29:23):
And then if you say something and they don't switch
up the behavior they keep liking it, that mean they.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
Got something going on. You just ain't found out everything.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Yeah, yeah, ye Asthma said, she don't do that to guys.
Tell her you do. So I think you can't really talk.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Well I'm toxic, but that don't mean they have to be.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
But yeah, I just think it's worth a conversation. Let
him know that you don't like it. It bothers you.
You don't do it to him, and you want that
respect back. And if he's got a problem with it,
that's on him, you know. And I think it's important
to dress something like this before it turns into a
bigger deal. For sure, I did, and that's why. Okay,
well there you're well, there's your answer. Rest in peace

(30:02):
to that relationship. Thank you, Thank you asmen. That was
ask ye eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty.
Just in case you couldn't get through, you could leave
a message and ask that way. And when we come back,
still ghetto. That's why Peas from Detroit is going to
be joining us. That's his new project that's out right now.
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
This is way up with Angela. Let's go. You are
a media maven, right, you never know what Ange's gonna say.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Whatever, it's way up. But Angela, yee, I'm with the girls.
Tella h is hair right, Jojo Alanto's hair, You're and
psy just stepped into the line of fire. Hey feeling
still ghetto exactly, But no, you gotta be feeling really
good to have this amazing project out right now. I
feel like I don't know if I normally see what

(30:49):
this many guest appearances too, No.

Speaker 10 (30:51):
I don't really be doing a lot of guest appearances
for real this time, Like I'm doing something different.

Speaker 5 (30:55):
I just want to just do everything.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
I love you and Rick Ross. But let's talk about
the Jeremiah song loving on Me, because it's kind of
a love song, but it's also kind of a messed
up comeback song.

Speaker 5 (31:06):
Yeah, you know when you go through that home, you
got to like try to figure out way to make
it right.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
How often do you have to take her back?

Speaker 2 (31:13):
No?

Speaker 5 (31:13):
I don't usually be right.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
That's usually how be Yeah, you did all right, because
you know you be Why do guys do that? Like
we could do everything we're supposed to do, It's.

Speaker 10 (31:27):
Just in them.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Eventually they grow on development.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
They say as men.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
But with like seventy five, like I finally see it.
A woman can do the same thing the man doing.
We just know how to have it better.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Don't do that. It's not true.

Speaker 10 (31:42):
Way more sneakier than me, you think so, because y'all
know how to get away, like y'all way more calculated.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
I've never gotten, You've never gotten what? So you have cheated?
So you're a professional cheater, man, I am a retired
professional Cheaterkay.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
No, so you're a professional teater.

Speaker 11 (32:00):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Tella h and Jojo Alonzo are here with me. We're
talking Appeasy about his new project Still Ghetto. You know
you have this song also called daydreaming on here. It's
kind of a nightmare.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Is a nightmare?

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Yeah, you know, it feels like a PTSD like daydream.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
I wrote it in the hole when I was in prison.
I ain't had nothing to do.

Speaker 10 (32:17):
I was just like I need to be creative because
I was getting in trouble in jail, Like I don't
know if I was in jail doing what I was
supposed to be doing.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
I was like into a lot.

Speaker 10 (32:25):
So when I finally went to the hole, I was like, damn,
really in jail, I need to sit down and read
and write. I wrote a lot of music when I
was in jail. That was one of the songs I wrote.
I've been holding on that song.

Speaker 7 (32:35):
I was going to say that like four years now,
when you get into your creative bag though, Like when
you said you was in a hole, what was that process?

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Like?

Speaker 10 (32:43):
When I was in the hole during the pandemic, so
we couldn't go outside like you know, when you in
the hole, you usually get like an hour out of
day type. We wasn't getting no hour out of day.
We was locked up like twenty four hours a day.
So then sometimes you wouldn't even have no celly, you
know what I'm saying. So you got to really think
away as to keep your mind. You drive yourself crazy.
And I was in a eighty eight days, so that's

(33:04):
crazy to just be in the dark, you know what
I'm saying. Basically in the cage for eighty eight days,
like you know what I'm saying, No windows like that. Yeah,
So you really got to think away as to occupy
your mind. So I read a lot of books in
our roll life.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
All right, Pz's here, Detroit's own psy He's in the
building and his project still Ghetto is out right now.
I got my girls with me Jojo, and I Gotchella
h here. We got more with PZ. When we come
back it's way up everybody. Yeah, y y yee, but
you all been waiting for Oh.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
You're tapped in the way up with Angela?

Speaker 1 (33:36):
Ye, what's up his way up with Angela?

Speaker 9 (33:39):
Yee.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
I'm here, Chella's here, Jojo Alonzo's here, and we're talking
to Pas about his new project, Still Ghetto. You went
viral for talking about Lean and Chick fil A and
saying Chick fil A is worse and all. It really
like started a whole conversation about fast food and you
know what's going on with that, and then people were
pulling up like real facts into instant You really.

Speaker 10 (34:01):
Don't only explain to people who bringing out in the box.
So if you like kind of like lost, I really
can't even really relate to you, or they can't relate
to me like that, I'll be saying people be like
he justifying drinking Lean, Like no, I'm not justifying drinking Lean.
I'm telling you that what you're doing is way worse
than what you think I do, because you do the
every day and I only do you do it, your
children do it, your family do it, Like so you're

(34:23):
really drugging your whole family and you really judging me.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
No, I know exactly I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
I'm doing it.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
Look up the ingredients in this fast food and it
ain't no real.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Food, and no I mean eating I eating fast food
with the line.

Speaker 7 (34:38):
I don't know too much about it, but all the
guys I know that's like forty two and up pipe.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Be dead off the lian.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
This much work good.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
But I'm saying forty that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
I'm just warning. She's warning. That's it.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
You know, God got me, just don't want to take
me home.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Yesell h and Jojo Alonzo are here with me. We're
talking that Peasy about his new project, Still Ghetto. Tell
it with's your question.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I know a lot of the y n's look up
to you.

Speaker 7 (35:18):
If it's one thing you could say to them, because
you know, it's been going crazy, especially like cities like
when we come from.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Midwest Chicago, Detroit.

Speaker 7 (35:24):
If you could tell them one thing to do right,
to change like how they live, what would you say?

Speaker 10 (35:30):
I really can't say nothing that's gonna change how they live,
because you only only thing I could do is just
show them how I'm the and if they smart enough
to see that it's nothing special that I'm doing, then
they'll pick up on game. But far as meet like bro,
you bold, they ain't really trying to hear that because
their life so real. They're really going through real Like
I just try to leave by something this is really possible,

(35:53):
or you could really.

Speaker 5 (35:54):
Go to jail for the rest of your life.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
And that's that right.

Speaker 10 (35:57):
Yes, I'll just be trying to shome with my real
because iays wanted them before. But I just try to
lead with my actions and I'm always present.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
So I mean literally you could have died and literally
went to jail. And you know, I think super blessed.
And that's why I think sometimes somebody like you, people
would listen to more.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
Ians love me. They look up to me.

Speaker 10 (36:18):
They think I'm cool, Like I am cool, though I
am cool. I ain't no goofy though, like I don't
really do dum. I ain't already throwing my life away
trying to get in trouble. I ain't you know what
I'm saying. I'm like, so I'm a cool gotta look
up to if I could do what you can do it,
if we can do what you can do it, Like
we all had to get to the points fact everybody
in this room did like so we all could be

(36:39):
motivation for the youth. It ain't really nothing special like
it just.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Worked and we're still going all right. Well, psy as always,
it's a pleasure to talk to you. Thank you so
much for coming through. Congratulations on everything.

Hey, I'm a chef. I'm down here in the wall
and as a chef, you really don't judge food. But
at the end of the day, bro, some people do
cook some Nancy food out here. So with that being said, Bro,
you don't want to judge somebody, but if it ain't good,
don't stomach it, don't swallow palls. But at the end
of the day, Bro, what you gotta do is, oh yeah,
it's good to give them confident.

Speaker 8 (39:02):
