Speaker 3 (01:55):
A light on. Jamal Kadar.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
He is a father of four, all right, and he
he felt like in today's economy, his daughters were his
eldest daughters, Jamila and Hamida were spending so much money
on rent. Yeah, I mean Jamila was paying twenty two
hundred a month for an apartment in Cable Hill, in Brooklyn.
Hamida was paying twenty eight hundred for a studio in

(02:17):
downtown Brooklyn. So what he did was he actually with
his own hands built them customized apartments and did that
in Potomac in Maryland, and he adopt me listen, So
it was a passion project for him. In July, first
he transformed his basement into Jamila's personal palace. And then

(02:38):
after that, you know, Hamida got her own private wing
of the family house, six hundred square foot studio fully
in sweet with the kitchenette, and he's also put in
a swanky bathroom, bedroom, closet, and lounge based two nice.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, so that's how you save some money.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
For sure.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
My parents ain't do that for me.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
At all at all.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
All right, well I do. What do you want to
shine a light on.

Speaker 8 (03:02):
I would like to shine the light on a friend
of mine. He got lots of early on when he
was seventeen years old. I'd just like to shout out
his rehabilitation process and how he was able to transform
and become a full time published author.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
Oh wow, what book says he have out? Or you know,
give us at least one title.

Speaker 8 (03:22):
I will shout out his memoirs called once upon my time,
making the best of it while it's available. His name
is Nashi Nasalon, and I'm just proud of him, so
I just wanted to send him a salute.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Okay, all right, well, shout out to him and thank
you so much. You're a good friend, and I'm sure
y'all both be looking out for each other.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Okay, all right, I'm gonna go look it up right now.
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 8 (03:51):
Salute to you.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
All right?

Speaker 6 (03:53):
Well that was shining light eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, leave
a message and shine a light like that for last word.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
When we come back.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Since we're on this positive streak, let's talk about all
of these amazing things that celebrities are doing for other
people right now. Quincy Brunson, Sean Paul and Shaggy I
sharing Big Sean. So many people are doing positive things.
We'll let you know about it. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
This says the rooms from industry Shade to all of
gossip angels feeling that.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Yeah, it's yep, but angela Ye, what's that beat at
good job beat dot. Let's do some good news things,
all right. Quinca Brunson from Abbot Elementary has launched a
fun to provide free field trips to thousands of Philly students.
It's the Quinta Brenson Field Trip Fun and she launched
it on Giving Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Okay, that's nice.

Speaker 6 (04:44):
Remember sometimes field trips like you couldn't go if you
didn't have the money to pay for the field trips slit. Yeah,
and you used to be so sad everybody else going
on the trip and you just school.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
I had to forge the signature.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Okay, well, let's move on. Now.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Let's talk about the the Jamaica Strong Relief Concert, raising
one million dollars for Hurricane Melissa victims in Jamaica. Sean
Paul and Shaggy are leading that all star lineup to
make that happen. That's going to be on Friday, December
twelfth at Ubs Arena.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
So that's what's up.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yes, one Stage, one Mission, one love.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
It kind of feels like people forgot about what happened
in Jamaica with the hurricane, like they moved on.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Ah No, there's still a lot of fundraisers happening. They
are trying to reopen a lot of the resorts and
stuff for the holidays, but a lot of them aren't
ready yet because tourism is such a huge source of
income in Jamaica, so they are wanting people to actually come,
but they just have to get certain things ready. So
you know, always making sure we highlight what's going on.

(05:44):
I think Navies I'm hosting something for Jamaica too, Okay.
And yeah, so he's doing that as well. We'll give
you that information too, as soon as he posts the flyer.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Did you post it? You did? Okay? He posted it?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
All right?

Speaker 6 (05:55):
All right, Asha and Big Sean have announced a one
million dollar entertainment incubator to power the next generation of creators.
They've gotten support from Illage Sports and Entertainment and Emory
University Business School. So that's a big deal. Boys and Girls.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah, this is in Detroit, okay, mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Show is always given back to the city.

Speaker 6 (06:15):
Yes, the Detroit Entertainment Innovation Incubator. It's going to be
inside the new Michigan Central Boys and Girls Club of
Southeastern Michigan. And he's doing that with Usher's new look
and the Sean Anderson Foundation to see it. I like that,
he said. Detroit has always been the blueprint for innovation,
from the assembly line to motown.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
That's a fact.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
Do you see in Detroit they have that one highway
where you can ride on there and charge your car
on the highway. Is the first place they did it.
Oh wow, I was like, this makes complete sense. This
is you know, motor city. Of course, where else would
you do something and test that out?

Speaker 3 (06:49):
All right? Now?

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Moving on, Netflix has ordered a Vegas casino drama series
from Martin Scorsese. That's my favorite movie and also in
co laboration with Billions co creators Brian Koppelman and David Levian.
So it's the thirtieth anniversary of Casino. Yes it is,
and so yes back in Vegas, and that drama series
has been in greenlit by Netflix.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I got did not mess it up? Man, Like I said,
that's my favorite movie of old time.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
So it's not Casino, but it's an eight episode drama.
It's in Vegas in the casino business. It's in modernized
but still dangerous.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Maybe you could play Ginger Angel.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
I don't think so you can play maybe Bobby Red,
president of the casino. All right, well that is your
Yet when we come back, we have about last night
where I know you cannot wait to talk about this
clips concert you were at yesterday and rub it in
everybody's face in the room that didn't even know about it.
It's way up.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
It's way up at Angela yee beat out, you were
out job, that's right, So tell me about last night.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
So I went to the clip show out here in
New York City.

Speaker 5 (08:04):
It was sponsored by Spotify for their Wrapped Up campaign
and yeah, Malice and Pusher t put it down.

Speaker 10 (08:10):
Man.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
It was a great free event for the fans. We
got Bandana's T shirt. They had food, dead drinks, social
familiar faces called Cherry, Rob Markman or Melbourne was there.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Had a great time.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Okay, you know it's interesting.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
I was cleaning up my house and I found a
throwback play clothes T shirt.

Speaker 11 (08:28):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
Yeah, it's a boat on it. But yeah, you know,
I think always always been fashionable.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Of course, man, So shout out to Malice and Push It.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
They kept emphasizing during their performance Album of the Year
for that God sort them out.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
So hopefully they went at the Grammys.

Speaker 6 (08:42):
All right, Well, I last night did a couple of things.
I was with my friend Sarah. We owned the airbnb
together a Roxbury house upstate New York, and so we
first went to this this bar called Diamantes. They actually
have my coffee on the menu as an espresso martini,
so I was going there. They just added it, so

(09:02):
I was like, let me go test out the espresso
martini and dad, it was amazing.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Shout out to Serafina.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
And then after that I went to my real estate
attorney's holiday party.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Crazy.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Yes they are because it's like fully open bar of
whatever you want. And Notoria was there anatarian too, because
he also is her real estate attorney. Yeah, Tasha, and
yeah it was a good time. So shout out to
everybody who came out. But I bought one of my
friends from high school with me. She's also a real
estate attorney. She does commercial real estate in New Jersey,

(09:35):
and so I was like, you need to come out more,
because I think a lot of times, you know, people
need to still go out network even though of course
you may be in a certain position. I was like,
this would be a perfect thing for you to come
to there's other attorneys there, but then also other people
into real estate.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
A lot of the owning Manhattan cast.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Was there too, and well, you know, it was like
a real real estate and heavy room. I met a
lot of developers, you know, interesting conversation that happen at
something like that.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
But some people get a little out of order at
these parties.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
I was going to want to swing on the chandeliah uh.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
One person definitely could not drive home that night.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Oh man, Yeah, so there was that.

Speaker 6 (10:14):
But I think it's important for us to be responsible,
Like if we see a friend that were like, you
can't do that, make sure they don't get in the car,
put them in an uber, do whatever.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
You have to do.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
But I want to ask about this holiday party etiquette.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I have to go to a party tonight.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
Oh wow, I have to go to one tomorrow and
I have to go to one Saturday. So it's like
back to back to back, you know events, and a
lot of us are going to holiday parties now, So
what is the etiquette when you go to a holiday
party and how do you Sometimes people let loose for
the first time around their co workers. We want to
hear from you guys about your holiday etiquette and parties

(10:49):
that you've been to and things that you've witnessed, or
maybe things that you've done. Call us up eight hundred
and two nine two fifty one fifty. We want to
hear your holiday parties. I was at a holiday party.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Beat it.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
I don't want to talk about it, Angela, but we.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Will when we come back. It's way.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Way up with Angela. Ye more now.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
All right, its way up at Angela.

Speaker 12 (11:10):
Yee.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
I'm here with beat That.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
Yes we're telling tasteless jokes, but one thing we're talking
about right now is holiday party etiquettes.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Now, beat that. What is your holiday party experience?

Speaker 5 (11:22):
I've had too many, because you know, I haven't had
traditional jobs throughout my life, but I usually crash the
holiday parties.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
Okay, you ever seen anything crazy?

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Yes, I've seen I think or two you know, all.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
Right, I've seen some crazy things at holiday parties too,
like when people get so drunk. I've seen somebody throw
up at the holiday party in a cup and then
put it down, which is disgusting, like at least put
it in the trash.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
I've seen you.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Listen, I don't like going to holiday parties with you.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
After parties holiday holiday parties.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
Yes, you had an edible thing you drugged me. You
ate an edible and handle it. But at least you
were safe, right, you were surrounded by friends. We made
sure you were good. I routinely came back to make
sure you were still there. Yes, in one spot, you
didn't move all right. Well, Emily, what's your holiday party etiquette?

Speaker 13 (12:14):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (12:14):
So my holiday party etiquette. I've been working at my
company for a very very long time, and I have
gotten very, very drunk at my holiday parties, to the
point where I don't remember what I did, I don't
remember what I said. I've had horrible anxiety. But sometimes
it's really nice because then he's going to work the
next day and everyone else kind of had the same
experience as you, so you kind of bond over the

(12:34):
fact that you all got a little too drunk.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Right, let's not talk about it.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Everything was a boring.

Speaker 12 (12:40):
But right, and like, I've had a moment where we're
all sitting there and we're all like sitting in a
circle trying to piece together those moments. So it's nice,
But then you also never want to be the drunkest
where everyone else is sober.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
You have to like go with the balance.

Speaker 14 (12:56):
A little bit.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, there's a balance.

Speaker 12 (12:58):
So now I give myself a top Tos aft it
holiday party, and I'm like, just go with the flow.
Have as many drinks as your your friends and your
coworkers are having because you just don't want to be
the drunk kids.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
So basically, you haven't learned anything.

Speaker 12 (13:13):
I'm sy, I'm trying. I'm going into this week hoping
that I learned something from my past year.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Man.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
This times that I've come back from a holiday party
and the next day people would be like, you, we
have so much fun yesterday, and I'm like, what did
I do?

Speaker 3 (13:25):
But you know what I want to say.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
Y'all got to definitely phones out when people are having
a good time at the party and n mine, don't
do that.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Don't do that.

Speaker 14 (13:34):
I agree.

Speaker 12 (13:36):
You know what else everyone should know at holiday parties,
keep all your work key to yourself. I'm staying this
to myself, by the way, because I'll have likes.

Speaker 7 (13:47):
And then I'll get drunk and I'll be like guess.

Speaker 12 (13:49):
What, and then I hate it.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
I regret it, so say it too much? All right?

Speaker 6 (13:55):
Well send us some stories the next day, please, all right?

Speaker 12 (13:59):
I hopefully learned my lesson at this holiday party.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
And I think, so, I hope you don't have fun.

Speaker 15 (14:05):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (14:06):
What's up?

Speaker 6 (14:07):
I know you want to stay anonymous, so I know
you got a good holiday party story.

Speaker 15 (14:11):
All right. So this is what I was told because
I was so drunk that I don't have no memory
of this. But when I woke up the next morning,
my friend told me that I pee in his kitchen
and I slept in my pee and up DNT slept
in it like a little puppy. Yeah, he said. He

(14:32):
was yelling at me to stop, and I just I stopped.

Speaker 6 (14:36):
Okay, slept in it, and then he went to sleep
right there. I know he was so annoyed. Did you
clean up your pee or did they have to do it?

Speaker 12 (14:46):
No?

Speaker 15 (14:46):
I was too drunk. I have no memory of this
at all. I woke up the next morning and I
was even the ninety Everyone was like, he was like, no, bro,
And then he called out all the friends and he
confirmed it.

Speaker 7 (14:57):
Also.

Speaker 15 (14:58):
I was like, damn, but.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Some good friends. Yeah, at least they didn't post it anywhere.

Speaker 15 (15:03):
Yeah, they took a picture of it.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
I have because you know, you got to take a
picture to show the person later like, actually.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Yeah you did. Yeah, I have a picture, so well
you must have had a good night.

Speaker 15 (15:14):
Yeah, that's that's the thing. Once I started drinking, I
can't stop.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
We're gonna get you a diaper.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
I can't stop. All right, Well, thank you for sharing
with us. He marked his territory his friend's kitchen and
slept in it.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
All right.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
Well, thank you guys for calling eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty in case you want to
leave a message for last where we're still taking your
calls about your holiday party etiquette. And when we come back,
we have your y E T. And for Rell, he's explaining
his whole he hates politics situation and all the backlash
that he got from it.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Will tell you what he had to say. It's way up,
so you on the teeth.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
She came with receipts. It's time to spill that.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Eat all right, it's way up. Put angela. Yeah, I
me here with my guy.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Beat that yeah, good job beat that I saw. Just
want to shout out my homegirl's daughter, Jordan. Today's a birthday.
Happy birthday, An you're a teenager, you know, so she's
killing in volleyball in school I just want to give
her a quick shout.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
Out, slam it on you.

Speaker 6 (16:11):
Yeah, all right, well happy birthday. Yeah, let's get into
some of these stories. So for Real recently addressed his
recent comments about DEI and politics and all of that. Now,
the original comments that he made about hating politics was
at a live crowd at the fifth Annual Black Ambition

(16:32):
Demo Day. This was on November fourteenth. He got a
lot of backlash from this.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
I remember, do you think of what it is that
you do?

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Who you are?

Speaker 4 (16:39):
I think you're the best.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Okay, So do you.

Speaker 13 (16:42):
Want the job because you're black, because you're the best.
Do you want to support your start because you're black,
but because you're the best.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Based on the pieces that were the best, not because
we are the same couture.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
And you know, I saw think pieces about it. I
so people saying he benefited.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
Yeah, I think it was taken out of context, though.

Speaker 6 (17:05):
I think that he was maybe frustrated thinking about these
DEI and trying to motivate people. But the truth is,
there are a lot of people that are overly qualified
who happen to be black and brown who don't get
the opportunities because I think it happens more than people
given opportunities, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
So I just it seems like, you know, a meritocracy
works in theory versus in practice.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
Yeah, I mean the reason we have DEI is because
of the lack of diversity and the lack of people
who are qualified, who are melanated not getting the opportunity.
So now he was at the Footwear News getting the
Shoe of the Year award, and here is what he
had to say about the backlash.

Speaker 9 (17:50):
That's where the SoundBite of me saying I hate politics,
which was in response to the DEI support and donations
trying up because of new policies. So yes, I got frustrated,
and the sound biers they caught me lacking what sound
bite this. I will never stop fighting. I will never
stop raising money to help level the playing field.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
From shark bitters to sound byers.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
I just want to know who bought them, Louis Vauton
Timberland boots?

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Did you you know what I'm talking about?

Speaker 4 (18:20):
Thought it was you?

Speaker 6 (18:22):
You know who did have on a pair though, Chris Jenner,
Corey Gamble, Oh Corey, Yeah, he had a pair of those.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Uh those Timberlands. How much were they?

Speaker 5 (18:31):
I mean two thousand. Yes, you click them three times,
you end up at a at a Rock Nation brunch.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
They're going to bring that back all right. Now.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
The WBC has strip Terrence Crawford of a super middleweight title. Yes,
this happened yesterday. They said he did not pay mandatory fees.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
I didn't know you had to pay.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
I didn't know that either.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
They said they gave him a discount from three percent
to point six percent on sanctioning fees on his report
at fifty million dollar purse from fighting Nello Alvarez, and
he didn't want to pay the fee for that fight,
is what they're saying. Now, here's what Terrence Crawford had
to say.

Speaker 10 (19:06):
Not allowed to say about me not paying sanctioned fief. Then,
ain't gonna tell me I apologize? Like, who do you
think I am? Real belt is done? Ring belt which
is free. You can take built, it's a trophy anyway.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
How much are the fees? So?

Speaker 6 (19:25):
Well, if it's a fifty million dollar perse and they
give him a discount from three percent to point six percent,
you know, if we do the math, how much is that?

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Somebody much is that?

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah? Somebody do the math? But that's a lot.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Well you're half Asian.

Speaker 6 (19:38):
Angel Oh sorry, don't do that, because I definitely don't know. Now,
he also is saying, what makes you better than the WBO,
the IBF or the WBA. Everybody accepted what I was
giving them, but you, because you think that you're better
than everybody, You want me to pay you more than
other sanctioning bodies because you feel like you're better than them.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Well, it's more than eighty two thousand by Louis Patan.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
In other words, take this and show me.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
What you can do, right, all right, Well that is
your ut. When we come back under the radar stories
that are in and the headlines, they're flying under the radar,
but you definitely need to know about them. And let's
talk about New York Fashion Week. I was walking on
the block in my car the other day. It's a
long walk, and I saw they were outside protesting outside
of this first store.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
All right, I'll tell we'll talk about this. It's way up.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Yeah, it's way up at Angela. Ye's me and b that.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
But he.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
I know, I thought he wasn't doing it.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
I don't know what it's got going on New York
Fashion Week is going to ban fur on the runway.
So uh, The c FDA that's the Council of Fashion
Designers of America that owns and organizes Fashion Week announce
they will not permit events on the official New York
Fashion Week schedule to feature animal fur and that regulation
is starting in September next year, in partnership with the

(20:57):
Humane World for Animals and Collective Fashion Justice.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Tell that to the people in Detroit, man, they balistic.

Speaker 6 (21:03):
You know, I was walking to my car the other day.
I showed you the video. I was like, what's happening here?
The traffic was all backed up. They were protesting outside
of this store where they were selling fur.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Wow, and they definitely held up everything.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
Don't wear yours as if they're gonna throw some red
pain on you.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
I'm trying to think if I have one little fur
stole that's like a little shrug, but I have never worn.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
It, well, you might not have an opportunity die of natural.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Causes all right.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Now, over two hundred and fifty thousand cases of shredded
cheese have been recalled over possible metal fragments. Just giving
you guys a heads up, they're sold as store owned
brands from Target, I'll do, Walmart, and HTB grocery stores.
According to an FDA report, they said that the possible
metal fragments are from supplier raw material. So just giving

(21:51):
you a heads up because I use shreddit cheese a lot.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Of course I love pizza.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
All right, Well, that is your under the radar. Now
we do have Q Parker joining us from one twelve.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
He's solo.

Speaker 6 (22:01):
He's got his new album, Evolution of Romance, Volume one,
and we got the Way Up mixed for you.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
At the top of an hour, she's like.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
The talt like they Angela Jean like they Angela Jean Man.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Yeah, it's well yeah, put angela ye'es me and beat.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
As Good job be do.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
That's right, great job be done, and let's get right
into it.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
So the urbs, you know, KICKI Palmer and Jake Whitehall
are going to be starring in that series on Peacock.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Well, they put out the trailer. It's an eight episode series.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
It's an adaptation of that nineteen eighty nine film with
Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher. It's gonna premiere all episodes
on Sunday, February eighth, So get ready for that. It's
a nineteen eighty nine horror comedy film that is based on.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
I like a period picture, so I'm gonna check it out.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
Well, I don't know if it's still set in that
time period, but that is the original of what the
verbs was.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
I don't know if you ever saw The.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
Burbs have it all right, Candy Burrs. According to people,
they have the excool, elusive. She discovered that Todd was
talking to other women behind her back, and that was
before they split up, and she had no idea.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Insiders are saying she was not happy when she found out.

Speaker 6 (23:13):
Those are some of the new details that a source
told People exclusively that Candy and Todd had been having
trouble for a while. A rep for Candy has not commented,
and Todd has also not responded to requests for comment
from People.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
So, yes, it's a crazy.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
Time, real house drama.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
And I saw she's been getting a lot of support online.
She's talking about how you know, she'll post certain things
and she's just trying to handle it as a woman
and deal with it on her own and.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
Still keep this happy face.

Speaker 6 (23:42):
But she said, sometimes things just don't work out, and
that's what it is. They met while filming the fourth
season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta in twenty eleven.
They got engaged in January of twenty thirteen, but she
said it's a difficult and emotional time. Her focus remains
on protecting her peace, being the best mother she can be,
and co parenting with love and respect, so as.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
Woild when things like this get played down in the
public too.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Yes, that's not easy, all right now.

Speaker 6 (24:07):
Glow Rilla recently was talking to Jordan Rose at Complex
News and she talked about her and Young Thug reconciling.
And remember he said some some negative things about her,
And here's what she said.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
It was a funny.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
I don't take a lot of solo series.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
It's basically like if it ain't.

Speaker 9 (24:25):
Like no deal through fighting mad and like nothing like that.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
I ain't gonna take it too serious.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Like okay, well, yeah we talked after it.

Speaker 8 (24:31):
We cool.

Speaker 4 (24:31):
She could now used to get on the album.

Speaker 12 (24:33):
Man, honestly, you know, we'll feel about it.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
She likes sudam ain't that cool, Gloriala looks good, glow
up Reala definitely yeah, you know, so she's also got
Hi May and I mean Hi May and brandon Ingram.
And she didn't want to talk too much about her relationship,
but she did, you know, soft launch the relationship back
in September. That's when you just put up a little

(24:56):
picture and then people are like, here's what you had to.

Speaker 11 (25:00):
I'm not gonna speak too much about our relationship because
I kind of like our privacy.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
We actually met.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
It's been a year now.

Speaker 8 (25:05):
We met, like thanky the last year, I hate went to.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Mitche That's when people playing from New Orleans, I ain't
went to the game.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah, who made the first move?

Speaker 15 (25:13):
You am Hill?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
All right?

Speaker 4 (25:16):
Real life loving basketball?

Speaker 6 (25:17):
Okay now, and that is your ut when we come back,
Ask ye eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one
fifty any question you have me and.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Beat out of here. We got your back.

Speaker 6 (25:26):
Beat out, especially if it's questions about music from the
early nineties, We got your back eight hundred.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
Fifty one fifty. Ask you. Here's some ge her about went.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Legit, whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts?

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Should this is ask what's up? Its way up with Angela?

Speaker 6 (25:42):
Yee, I'm here with my guy beat out and we
are giving hes some advice for asking. Ye, she's dating
this guy who supports her and everything financially, but emotionally
he's unavailable.

Speaker 11 (25:53):
I've got a question because I've been dating this guy
for about seven months. He is emostly non available, but
his finances is so he always like he paid for
me to go.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
To school, he paid for my tests, he paid for everything.

Speaker 11 (26:05):
But he said that he's mentally going through some things
right now far as like his home situation a tree.
We live in Houston, so we had a bad storm,
a tree fell into his roof and stuff like that.
So I just graduated last week with my real estate license,
and we had plans on doing something since I graduated,
and when it was time to celebrate, he just said
that he wasn't in the space to do anything right

(26:27):
now because the tree fell in his roof to do it.
He just got a lot of stuff going on, like
emotionally and things like that. But like I told him
that I'd rather talk to you in your worst times
than always your best times. And I don't want your money.
I want your time, you know, And I'm not getting time,
but I'm getting the money. And I don't want the money.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
What can you do for him? Like I would ask him,
how can I help? Because so when I.

Speaker 11 (26:49):
Do those things, you know what he telled me. No,
he's a man. He needs to find stuff out on
his own.

Speaker 8 (26:54):
He don't want my assistance.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
What I need to do is just be great.

Speaker 8 (26:57):
How I be great?

Speaker 11 (26:58):
So, like I said, live in Texas. The area he
lives in, it floods a lot, So I'll contact the
mayor to come to his area to drain his drainage
so he won't flood in front of his house. Okay,
Like I said, I'm into real estate, so I have
some people that I know who can fix his great
for price that he got, you know, an estimate on.
But he don't want to take my help. He said

(27:21):
that he want to be a man, and it's just like,
so what am I here for?

Speaker 12 (27:24):
You know?

Speaker 4 (27:24):
No?

Speaker 6 (27:25):
Yeah, And part of being a man is also knowing
when you do need help and allowing somebody to do
that for you. I don't know what he's been through
in his life that for some reason he doesn't feel
like he can let you in enough, Because that is
another form of trust, when you allow somebody to help you.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
People don't want to admit their vulnerabilities.

Speaker 11 (27:46):
It really hurt my feelings because when I had pass
my test, like I worked really hard for that, right,
so I was really to celebrate and I couldn't, Like
I have nobody to celebrate.

Speaker 7 (27:57):
So it's just like, wasn't like an excited moment for me,
because like I rather spend time with him, and I
can't because I guess he's going through stuff right like
me personally, I don't deal with guys like that, Like
if you don't have time for me, you know, then
I'll cut you off.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
Yeah, And it feels like he might be used to
women that just use him for money financially, and he's
not used to anybody that actually cares, and it maybe
is some type of fear that he has that he
has to get over, feeling like he is, you know,
got to be the provider and got to handle things
on his own. I will say this, it's not personal

(28:32):
against you at all. Clearly he cares about you enough
to you know, do certain things for you, and to him,
that equates showing that he cares by just doing these
monetary things.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
But that's not your Yeah, that's not your love language.

Speaker 6 (28:47):
And I think it's only been seven months, and sometimes
it takes a while to break down these habits and
these ways that people have been, you know, prior to you.
I think it's amazing that you're trying to just help
him find solutions, and it might take some time for
him to get used to that.

Speaker 7 (29:04):
So what should I do?

Speaker 6 (29:05):
Like, I think you should continue to be there for
him as his friend. But until he's able to break
through some of these walls, you can't just commit and
give it your all. But you can do is offer
your help and your assistance. And look, even if you
have to find somebody for him to talk to professionally
and offer him that. You can't make him do it,

(29:26):
but you can give him, you know, the support that
you can give him, and if he can't accept it,
there's nothing you can do.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
This is what he always tell me. Be patient, Be
patient with me.

Speaker 11 (29:36):
He asked me that all the time.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
Just be patient with me, you know, you know what,
be like.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
Look, don't give me any more money until you're willing
to accept me supporting you emotionally.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Oh I like that.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
I like that. Well give him our cash app No,
I'm kidding, we can use it all right? Well, good luck.
Let me know what happens.

Speaker 6 (30:03):
Please, I would love to hear because this is a
unique situation.

Speaker 13 (30:06):
It is.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
Thank you so much and I'll keep you updated.

Speaker 6 (30:09):
That was ask ye eight hundred and two ninety two
fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through it, you
could always leave a message and ask any question that way.
And when we come back, we got Q Parker joining
us from one twelve. Now he's also solo right now,
so he's not traveling with one twelve. So I just
want to put that out there. But Q Parker is
going to be here next. It's way up and I'm
beg who about to do this?

Speaker 1 (30:30):
One of the most famous women in radio audio open
and we're talking about Angela Ye.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
You're way up with Angela Yee. Please believe that what's up?

Speaker 3 (30:38):
This way up with Angela Yee? And look who's in
the building. Q Parker is here. How you feeling, I'm well?

Speaker 4 (30:43):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (30:43):
I'm good?

Speaker 6 (30:44):
Thank you so much for joining me, and congratulations on
a new project, The Evolution of Romance Part one.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Well has your evolution been?

Speaker 12 (30:51):
So?

Speaker 13 (30:52):
You know I started in this game as a teenager,
and so I've evolved as a man, I've evolved as
a musician, but then also roman has also evolved. Romance
looked different in the eighties than than it did in
the nineties and so forth, and so marrying those two
worlds together, the evolution of Q Parker and the evolution
of romance, I thought it was just so fitting to

(31:13):
bring some romance back into to the markets.

Speaker 6 (31:15):
You've also been married for twenty three years, so I
have to assume that you're doing something right.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (31:20):
Yeah, and I got a real one man who has
grown with me. She exercised a lot of patients so
that we could get to these twenty three years, you know,
getting married at twenty five, I was twenty six years old,
the height of one twelve, the peak of our records
in our career.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (31:37):
She had to be understanding and exercise some patience, and
so we don't get here without her being able to
exercise those things.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
What is your love story with Charline de Parker?

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Yeah, my love story is one of my best friends.

Speaker 13 (31:49):
When you go from Jagged Edge and so, one particular
day back in ninety eight or ninety nine, I did
my regular yo where you at the Ken Babe Matumbo
had this this spa in Buckhead and my wife and
her twin sister. They managed the nails and the facials
and all that. Wingo was actually there and he's like, YO,
pull up on me.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
I pulled up. Charlotte ended up blowing my nails and
the story began.

Speaker 12 (32:13):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
I started from that.

Speaker 11 (32:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (32:15):
Right now, I am talking to Q Parker from one
twelve about his new album, Evolution of Romance, Volume one.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
So you immediately was it like an immediate chemistry or
kind of.

Speaker 13 (32:25):
I knew that something was there, so to the point
where I would and we laugh about this still to
this day, I would like intentionally mess up my nails
just so that I could get another appointment on her book,
like two days later. But I just think from those occurrences,
we started to develop a liking to each other, and
we just kept it kind of under wraps for about

(32:47):
maybe twelve thirteen months or so until we finally just like,
all right, we can let people know that we're actually dating.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
And then we got married after two years.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Wow, that's quick.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Yeah, I proposed after two years. You knew it.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
You know.

Speaker 6 (33:00):
There's so much pressure, I think in this industry, especially
in the position that you were in like you said,
is prime time. You're an R and B singer, and
sometimes they don't want you to seem like you're in
a relationship for yeah, or not even married.

Speaker 13 (33:14):
You know, you know it as they say, don't spoil
the fantasy, yeah, knowing that you are in a relationship.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
But you had to.

Speaker 13 (33:20):
It was told to say that we all single and
we're all looking, and because of course the records were
portraying that we're all these single individuals. But I do
believe the best way to be an artist is really
be authentic, and we did what we thought was the
best during that time. But I can look back at
some of those ways we did things and I'm totally

(33:40):
the opposite. And even as I'm developing artists today, my
advice to them is.

Speaker 15 (33:46):
Just being you.

Speaker 6 (33:47):
Q Parker is here, Ladies and gentlemen. This is so
exciting because you know one twelve, that's my joint. We
got more with Q Parker when we come back. It's
way up.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Take up the phone taping to get your voice heard.
What the word he is? The last word on Way
Up with Angela?

Speaker 9 (34:03):
Ye?

Speaker 3 (34:03):
What's up? His Way up with Angela Yee? I'm full.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
I need a nap Me and beat Out just had some.
The chicken tenders are no joke. I just want to
say that. And I had the honey barbecue sauce.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
I did too. It were really good.

Speaker 6 (34:15):
Look you sound tied and a sweet chili sauce. But
you know what, I love those new chicken tenders, so
I'm on that. Yeah, all right, Well, thank you to
Q Parker for joining us from one twelve. Make sure
y'all check out his new album that's out right now,
Evolution of Romance Value one. I know a lot of
you have holiday parties coming up beat that. I know
you're going to some.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
Yep, can I roll with you? It'd be a good
plus one.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
I don't know last time I had to babysit you.
I think that's it years ago.

Speaker 6 (34:42):
I don't want to have to come keep checking on
you may make sure, okay, but again, this is your show,
so you have the last word.

Speaker 14 (34:49):
Hey, this is the one up. I'm living Saint Louis
and I would like to stand a light on my schook.
I have thirteen beautiful children, beautiful bread. Oh my gosh,
they are all so great, and a single mama has
been up and down. But I wouldn't take not to
day back, and I just won't let y'all all know
that I love y'all unconditionally.

Speaker 8 (35:11):
No favorite going way

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
