calls for you.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
But I do want to thank everybody behind the scenes
who really worked really hard on this to make it
happen because there's a lot of moving parts. It's a
totally free event for the community, and it took an
army of people to get this all done. Of course,
shout out to Joe DeAngelis, Sydney Brown, my guy JP,
my girl, Randy, Deborah and Sales and Randy for actually

(02:49):
making sure the sponsors came through and paid for all

for the artists to come perform, my girl Chelsea who

out to y'all, Camden, Tara, Justin, Annie, Danny, Alison, Atia, Melanie.

(03:10):
It takes a whole team to make all of this happen,
and I know somebody's gonna call me if I forgot.
Oh and DJ Norri and DJ Nick Siale, y'all did
a great job keeping the crowd entertain, playing music the
whole entire time, keeping their energy up. DJ Norri has

Speaker 2 (04:28):
That would shine a light eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
could leave a message and shine a light for last word.
And when we come back, let's get into some eat
And since I have a comedian, a great comedian here
with me today, John Laster, let's get into some news.
We'll talk about what Lunelle had to say about not
owning a mansion, and we'll also talk about something unfortunate
that happened and give our condolences to the family of

(04:50):
Reggie Carrol.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
It's way up, it.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
Says in the rooms from industry shade to all of
gosp out send angelus feeling that eyetal, it's way up.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
At Angela yee.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
I'm here with John Laster Mitchell you check him out,
by the way, La st Er. Now let's get into
some of this yet. So comedian Reggie Carroll, he was
a Baltimore native. He was doing his stand up routines
across the country. I saw a lot of people talking
about what an impact he's had in their lives and
what a great person he is. He was only fifty
two years old and he was unfortunately shot and killed

(05:23):
in Mississippi on Wednesday. According to the South Haven Police Departments,
they did provide life saving measures, but unfortunately he died
from his injuries. They do have one mail in custody
and he has been charged with the murder of Reginald Carol.
They said, our thoughts are with the family of mister Carroll.
Thank you to the community for their patients and understanding.

(05:44):
It's still an ongoing investigation. John, did you know him?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
You know what I did not, But you know, comedy
is kind.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Of a fraternity slash sorority, so you know, it still
feels like a family member.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
You know, we know the struggle. So that's terrible.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Well, he's also known as the Knockout King of Comedy,
and that's for his stand up special that he hosted
and produced under that name, and he had a very
loyal fan base. All Right, now, Lunelle is saying that
she does not own a mansion after this lucrative, long
career that she's had. She did an interview with Hype
Plus that came out last week, and here's what she

(06:21):
had to say about her career highs, her personal sacrifices,
the pressure that she's under.

Speaker 9 (06:26):
It's crazy to be able to say I've been in
the business twenty seven almost thirty years. It's embarrassing to
say that and not have a mansion and not have
all the accoutrements that somebody being in the minister as well,
and you would think that they would have. Being able
to say that I'm getting my daughter through college, yes,
with no students on debt. I think that's being successful.
I think that being able to, you know, have multiple residences,

(06:48):
I think that's powerful.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Multiple residences is a flex.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Multiple residences counts as one mansion, Yes.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yes, feels like that equals a mansion, Lunelle.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
If you got four greenhouses, it adds up to one
hotel blue now.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah. Well as for her living situation, she said she
would like a bigger home, but does not want to
be in a gated community with the HOA, because you
know that HOA is no joke, the way that they
try to regulate everything that you have going on. She
did say that she describes herself as hood rich, and
she doesn't aspire to the level of fame and fortune
that brings demands from friends, family and outside there.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
She said, more money, more problems.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah, but I mean, you can't say I don't aspire
to all of that and then say, you know, I'm
embarrassed I don't have a match. First of all, she
shouldn't be embarrassed because she's had a wildly successful career
and multiple homes.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Come on, yeah, I do also want to say that
a mansion, the bills and the upkeep that a person
has to do. Not that I would know personally, but
just from hearing other people's stories, that is sometimes like
a huge waste of money. I'd rather have multiple homes
and has something that I could rent out when I'm
not there, a place that I could go to when
I feel like it, a place that I could sell

(07:56):
off if I want to, you know, tap into the
equity I have there.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Mansion in our business kind of insinuates something else. Anyway,
because there's not very many people who are just performers
that end up in a mansion. You have to be
executive producer, You got to be a writer, You got
to own some of these properties. The mansions come with
the residual, not with the not with the performance, so
to speak.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Also, a kind of in Brooklyn equals a mansion.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Everywhere else in the country.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
All right, well that is your Yet when we come back,
we have about last night, And boy do I have
a lot of about last night for y'all.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Today it's the where.

Speaker 7 (08:30):
Y'all so about last night I went down?

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Yeah, it's where ya butt to Angela.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yee. I'm here at my guy John last year. Yeah,
how was your weekend?

Speaker 4 (08:44):
My weekend was pretty good. I was on stage all
weekend hustling and mo hustling.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Okay, highlights that we should know of?

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Were there any highlights? I don't think so. I mean
we we we got through it, Okay.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, Sunday brun show was amazing. It was really good.
Oh Angela, ye, day, that was my highlight.

Speaker 8 (09:07):
Come on a day?

Speaker 1 (09:11):
What yo?

Speaker 4 (09:12):
But you know what's up? Let me say this because
you you trying to be humble about it. But not
only is was it beautiful outside, but there was all
types of giveaways. There were kids getting their hair done.
Like I was in shock. I was painted. I was like, yo,
how much does that cost? And and they was like,
oh no, they're just doing that for free, for these

(09:34):
kids to go back to school.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
That was amazing.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
You know what I realized about YouTube, John, you are
always surprised when stuff is free. I am a birthday
party was He was like, you don't have to pay
for the chicken and walk. I was like, it's free,
it's my birthday, but who had no?

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Come on, are you serious?

Speaker 2 (09:59):
John?

Speaker 3 (10:02):
We know what you mean.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Okay, well it's fun, but so listen.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Not only did I do that, then the next so
Angela j was on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
So when I tell you, so much fun.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
And then we went and had like a little after
party for all the people that were behind the scenes
working the artists. We went to coffee uplifts people in
my coffee shop Ten to one Rum did all the rum.
You know that's Sierra was just up here. She's one
of the founders of ten to one Rum. Oh really,
And Jasmine's Caribbean provided the food.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Oh yeah, so shout out to everybody.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
That there were some awesome cupcakes there.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Oh kissies, Yes, I t girl, kissy.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
It was amazing.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
And then look, let me tell you Sunday yesterday it
did not stop for me. I had a two hour
zoom that was a great one in the morning. Then
Juvius Place had their first ever event. Now Juvia's Place
is a black owned makeup brand that is absolutely amazing.
I mean, they had been doing their thing and when
I tell you, this party was probably one of the
best parties a Vido perform SINCEA performed.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
They ad a makeup brand party.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yes, and then they have celebrity makeup artists Sam Fine,
they're giving like a.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Tutorial on stage.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I mean, when I tell you, it was just ridiculously amazing.
So shout out to everybody at Juvius Place. They're promoting
their like team Blush or Team Bronze. Do you like Bronzer?
Do you like Blush? And it's kind of like about
the mood that you're going for.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
So yeah, you know what else too?

Speaker 4 (11:26):
You know that there's a boycott that might be coming
for haircare brands in September first, so there's gonna be
a boycott, and I think the beauty brands might be
thrown in there. So we definitely want to shout out
all of the black owned haircare brands that we can't
sol people know where to go when they are attempting
to buy black home beauty brands for the month of September. Okay,

(11:48):
definitely definitely hit me if you if you have a
black owned beauty brand.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
To throw on the app.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, to throw around black Yes, we would love to
do that so that people can shot black on because
there is going to be a boycott coming up in September.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
All right, well, you guys, when we come back, it's
time for tell us a secret. Eight hundred two ninety
two fifty one fifty Call us up.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
I talked about my weekend. Now I want to hear
about yours.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Maybe there's something you did that you don't want anybody
to know about. Well, we want to know. Eight hundred
two nine two fifty one fifty. It's a no judgment zone.
You're anonymous. That's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Call us up. Tell us my secret. It's way up.

Speaker 6 (12:24):
This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Oh baby, it's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
John Last is here with me today. Yeah, and it
is time for tell us a secret. That's where we
sit here and we don't judge people. We ask questions.
You get to tell us whatever your story is, and
we just not and be like, okay, thank you for
sharing with us. You can handle that, right, I can
handle it, no judgment, all right? And you are anonymous
eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty anonymous color.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
What's your secret?

Speaker 5 (12:51):
My secret is that I keep double back on a
guy that I keep saying I will ever talk to again.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Ooh, and nobody knows. Nobody knows why what did he
do that?

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Nobody likes him.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
It's not that don't nobody like him. It's just that
he's the guy that.

Speaker 8 (13:08):
Everybody wants, and I feel good that he chose me
to be the one that lay wish.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
John, I'm gonna ask you, does that mean that he's
hiding her though.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
A little bit?

Speaker 2 (13:19):
It's not a relationship, so okay, all right, it's just
a late night type of you know, booty.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Call Yeah when I call him come, okay, that's mutual.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, yeah, just winging on him to call you calling
him too sometimes?

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Do you like him though? Like, do you want to
be with him? Would you?

Speaker 5 (13:37):
At one point in time I did, but the way
he was just moving was like.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
No, oh yeah, he ain't nothing. If you had a man,
would you still keep him on the side?

Speaker 5 (13:46):
No?

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Okay? All right? Well I like that you got morals.
That's not a bad secret.

Speaker 8 (13:51):
I know it's not good for.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
Me and it's not healthy, but it's like it's something
I just can't stop doing.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
What would you do if you got pregnant? Hello?

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yeah, we had had to already, okay, but I end
up miscarious?

Speaker 3 (14:07):
So you would though, keep it?

Speaker 5 (14:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
I just think that sometimes when you're having sex with somebody,
you gotta think like that could potentially happen.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
Yeah, yes, I do think about that too.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
All right, But thank you for sharing with us. Thank
you you guys. Have a good morning, you too, No shame.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
And when we come back, we got your yet. And
let's talk about Tyreee. He was on denn Off King's
you know, that's Kirk Franklin's podcast that he does with us.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
It's like a roundtable discussion.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
You would be good on there, John, But Tyree said
that his body count is a little scary.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
We'll discuss what why are you not in your head
like that?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
I think you know, body counts can go up and people,
I think if your body count is like higher than
what people are normally used to hear, and they do
a freak out. I'm not gonna say.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
All right, but we come back. We got your.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
Yeat about this, but let's get it.

Speaker 7 (15:01):
Angelus billing at yet, come and get the tea.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
It's way up at Angela. Yee, I'm here, John Last
is here. What's happening and let's get into some yet.
Let's started off with ty Reese. He was recently on
Kirk Franklin's JENNF. King's podcast. They always have these roundtable
discussions and they really peered together all kinds of different people.
Ty Reese was on here, Sky Black was on He's
from All the Queen's Men, also married to kJ Smith.

(15:27):
And DJ Monte was on there. Who's a producer, songwriter?
DJ's work with flow writing, tea pain and so on
and so forth. Well, ty Reese talked about his own
personal journey that included his body count, and here's what
he said.

Speaker 10 (15:41):
My body count is a little scary, I would be
considered a biologist. I'm safe here, but if I felt
even more safe, I would be willing to go public
with what I believe my number is.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
But it's it's crazy.

Speaker 10 (15:54):
I got to a point where a powerful man of
God asked me a question, and he said, how anymore I.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Wonder what that number is.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
I'm gonna ask him when I see him, because I
know whom I'm gonna be, like, Tyre's what is number?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Because the fact that he even knows it is you
know what?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
I bet he does not know it because I'm an estimate.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Yeah, you know your number?

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I can estimate.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Does everyone count?

Speaker 1 (16:22):
I can you know what?

Speaker 8 (16:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (16:25):
I mean, you know, if it's if it's a body,
but I but I it's not a body? Well you know,
because no, because it depends on how far it went
that some people count it, Okay, So I only count
it like if it went all the way, some people count, you.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Know, Okay, don't do it? Yeah, yeah, we don't want.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
To have to dump Yeah exactly, So yeah, some people count,
you know, suitor, But I mean, you know, it would
have to go all the way. But I can guesstimate,
but I don't know, but I also know that a
lot of people's body counts are really really low. So
anytime you mentioned something that's higher, I hold one of
my exes what my body count was.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
That was a mistake.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Oh wow, she was like, she said, no.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
She she did the you know, like you do the
safe space. You really have a safe space here though,
But she said, go, it's a safe space. You could
tell me what your BodyCount is. And I told her
and then she started crying. She started crying, and she said, Yo,
it's okay, it's okay. I told you it's okay. But
I'm like, what cry?

Speaker 1 (17:28):
It was higher that she thought. It was a lot
higher that she thought.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
I will say this for women, if we say anything
above two, y'all be like, oh my god, I can't.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Yeah, yeah, because if she would have said three, I
would have started crying. Yeah, we'd have both been crying.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
She should have did with okay, yeah, just a little
lesson mind.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Oh yeah, I would have been I would have got
up and left.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
All right.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Now, let's talk about Gez And he had this uper
ride where he was trying to make it to Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
It was a ten hour ride.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
His transportation fell through and the Uber driver Tanner, actually
drove him to where he had to go and he
got on stage just in time. Well guess what that
story caught the attention of Uber. And here is what
Jeezi has to say when he announced his partnership.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
I'm teaming up with Uber.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
You're giving away rides to one hundred and one people
in need to be single mothers, college kids, young entrepreneurs.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Sir, y'all look out for that. Shout out to ten
of your legend baby, one.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Hundred and one, one o one? Would that Uber ride
bring all of the women you've had? That all right,
but that is your easy when we come back under
the radar. These are the stories that are not in
the headlines. They're flying under the raidar. But you need
to know about him. One of them has to do
with Essence Festival and I guess we can call her

(18:46):
the now former CEO, Caroline Wanga.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
It's way up news.

Speaker 7 (18:51):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar, all right.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
As way up with Angela Yee, I'm here, John Last
is here, Yeah, and it's time to go under the radar.
Now Essence has announced that Caroline Wanga, who has been
on health leave since September of last year, has decided
not to return to her position as president and CEO.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Of Essence Ventures.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
You know, there was all this drama and controversy surrounding
the Essence Fest this year, and she was kind of
people thought she still was the CEO, so they were
bringing her name up for a lot of different things.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
But she hasn't been there.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
And I saw she posted a statement on her page
regarding the fact that she was not returning after being away. So,
you know, much of love and respect to Caroline Wanga.
I think she did an amazing job as CEO, but
she is not coming back.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
All right now.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
A photographer interrupted play for nearly seven minutes by stepping
on the court at the US Open in the middle
of a US Open first round match. Apparently the photographer
has not been identified. This happened this morning, but yeah,
the cameraman was basically trying to leave and now he
has had.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
His credentials revoked.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
What would make somebody think they could just do something
like that is ridiculous. And lastly, Women's Professional Baseball League
is going to be launching in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Would you go to that to baseball.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
You know what, here's the thing. I don't even watch Men's.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
I knew you were going to say that.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
With y'all. I only watch Men's. I mean, you know,
I think it could work though.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
Well, the league is holding tryouts in DC, and there's
going to be former Little League phenomens that are going
to be showing up who are already signed to the WPBL.
So league's tryouts are open to all women, and that's
made way for competitors of all ages to chase their
dream of playing professionally.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Could be a good time.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Yeah, And I mean if anytime you can make money
doing what you love, it's a win.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Speaking of making money, the Powerball jackpot is seven hundred
and fifty million dollars.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
So just putting that out there, I need to get
in there, got it all right?

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Well, that is your under the radar. We do still
have Sasha Vickery joining us. We were just talking about
the US Open. She is a professional tennis player. But
the reason why everyone's talking about her right now is
because she does have an OnlyFans page. We're gonna get
into it with her on what made her start this
OnlyFans page. What type of content the comments that people
have been leaving. But also in addition to that, she

(21:22):
said that if you want to date her, you have
to leave a one thousand dollars deposit.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
We'll talk about it. It's way up.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
It's like the Chout like they, Angelie Jean like they
and Jelie Jee.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Man, she's spilling it all. This is yet way off.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
It's way up at the Angela. Yee, I'm here with
John Laster.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
What was that?

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Man? Have you watched Love Island at all?

Speaker 1 (21:44):
I watched the tiny bit of it in the beginning.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Oh yeah, you're not gonna know what's going on.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
But they are having their reunion today, the first time
that all of them are back in the room together.
According to reports, though A Season seven finalists Iris Kindale
and Pepe Garcia have unfollowed each other on social media,
and Iris has also removed all of her posts that
featured Pepe, and so he still has his posts on

(22:09):
his feed with Iris on it.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
You know, I feel like guys are always.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Slower to remove those, Yeah, because sometimes as whomen we
get if I'd be like, get.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Them all out of here, guys remove it.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
When the new person you date and it's like, why
she's still on your page?

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Well, I mean they just unfollowed each other.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Now another couple, of course, and they're the winners from
season seven a Maya, Papaya and Brian are sparking breakup rumors.
Fans have noticed that they have unfollowed each other. They
do have some pictures together still on their feeds though,
so not sure what could have possibly happened, but maybe
this is a good way to get people to tune
into the reunion tonight to see what's going on. Right, Yeah,

(22:47):
you'll be watching, No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Yeah, yeah, I think that unfollowed. I totally understand that
probably is more of a sign that you're not with somebody,
because you don't want to see them with somebody, you
know what I'm saying, Like when you when you post
with that new dude, I don't.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Want to see it.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
So I also think when people follow each other, they
want people to be like, oh, they broke up, because
that's such a public thing.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
You know, everybody's paying attention.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
It's kind of like an f you like, delete, delete
all these pictures because you could get into an argument
and nobody has to know. But as soon as I
follow you and delete all your pictures.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
It's sober.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah, until we get back together tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
I think the deleting of the pictures is more.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
I want everyone to know the unfollower is I don't
want to see what you're doing.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Do you archive first and then delete because you can
archive them.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
I'm not archiving.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
All right now.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Snoop Dogg recently was talking about going to the movies
and having to explain too much. He took his grandchildren
to see twenty twenty two's Light Year, and he was
caught off guard that the film had some, you know,
two women who were having a child together.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 10 (23:53):
I took my grandson to see us Like, so we're
watching it and the lady they move on to space years,
they moved down the line.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
They're like, and she had a baby with a woman?

Speaker 8 (24:05):
Or my grandson in the middle of the movie, like,
Papa sloop, how she have a baby with a woman?

Speaker 6 (24:09):
She a woman.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
I didn't come in for this.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
I just can't and watch a goddamn movie.

Speaker 6 (24:14):
So it's like, I'm scared to go to the movies.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Left.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Well, I mean I would say this.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
You know, there's a lot of things that are gonna
have to at some point be explaining to kids. They're
gonna see it anyway. Now, maybe not in the middle
of the movie, but later on, you know, a good
way to start having these conversations. We watch a movie,
you can explain, Well.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
I'm a lefty, but I'm not gonna argue with somebody
about when it's time for them to talk to their kids.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Yeah, it's just hard because kids do have a lot
of access.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Between you know, being able to go online, having a phone,
having an iPad, having any type of devices, the things
they're gonna see, the things they're.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Gonna hear from their friends.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Yeah, you know, sometimes I think I had to have
my parents explain to me what a virgin was when
I was like in kindergarten, right, thanks to Madonna.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
But did but did they explain it or did they
say hold off?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
I don't remember they were They didn't really explain much. Yeah,
but I got my period, I know what was happening.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Yeah, my mom was a big talker either.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
All right, well that is your yet when we come back. Oh,
we can help you ask ye eight.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Hundred nine two fifty one fifty call us up. Any
question you have me and John Laster are here to help.
That's eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty its

Speaker 7 (25:29):
There are going everybody e SI, whether it's relationship or
career advice.

Speaker 6 (25:33):
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
You should know.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
This is ask ye.

Speaker 3 (25:37):

Speaker 2 (25:38):

John Laster is here with me today and somebody on
the line wants to remain anonymous.

Speaker 3 (25:49):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (25:49):
What's going on?

Speaker 6 (25:50):
Man?

Speaker 11 (25:51):
Man?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Nothing?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
So what's your question for? Ask ye?

Speaker 8 (25:55):
I called to find out why John Laston never called
me back.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
I thought, man, please, time.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
I saw that brother, we were in Fort Watchuka, Arizona,
Fort Arizona.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
I don't even remember being watching.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
What happened on this army base.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
Well, we sold a whole lot of DVDs and CDs
on this show. But that's my man. He just never
called me back. You see how you already forgot me.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
I don't know if that's your man, sir. Did y'all
meet there?

Speaker 8 (26:25):
Nah?

Speaker 6 (26:25):
We went there together.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
You guys were together. John.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
I was just talking about my drinking and a former life.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
What's what's n this?

Speaker 8 (26:36):
Ice Man? How you doing brother?

Speaker 5 (26:37):
Yo?

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Ice Cream?

Speaker 3 (26:38):
What's up?

Speaker 11 (26:39):
Sam?

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Oh Man?

Speaker 3 (26:41):
How are you? Ice Cream?

Speaker 8 (26:43):
Oh good? I heard you on the radio with Angeline.
I'm like, I ain't everybody I know, man, I just
wanted to call and say hello, brother, I you and
here to hear your voice and know that you're doing well.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Brother.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
That's got to call it radio, right, I know, I know,
I feel bad, That's all right.

Speaker 8 (27:04):
I didn't want to give my day because I wouldn't
call him to get no. I just wanted to say
more something to you.

Speaker 5 (27:08):
Man.

Speaker 8 (27:08):
I adn't seen you in a long time. Internet every
now and days.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
He sounds like a very nice guy.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Ice Cream is one of the nicest human beings on
earth and the talented comedian man.

Speaker 8 (27:18):
I got mad love for you, brother.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah, much love.

Speaker 8 (27:21):
Nice speaking to your mischigan. You have a good day too.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
What's his patient? We could check out his comedy?

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Yeah yo? What is your handle? Ice Oh?

Speaker 8 (27:28):
Yeah? You know it's comedian ice cream everything comedian ice cream.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Man.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
You are to catch up.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Sorry under these circumstances.

Speaker 8 (27:36):
I got love for you, my brother. I love for you.
Y'all have a great day.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
See.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
I like when people are like that, Right, I didn't
inser your cause and call you back, but we're still cool.

Speaker 4 (27:45):
Yeah, but that makes me look bad, you know what
I'm saying. Like that, I don't hear people back in
four or five years.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
I'm glad we were able to bring y'all back together,
but I will say, don't let this be a president
all the people I have not returned your cause.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Let me get on it because I don't want to
be put on blasts.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Oh yeah, the phone lines is probably lightened up for
you right now.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
Ye all right, Well that was ask ye eight hundred
and two nine two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't
get through, you could leave a message and we can
answer your question that way always And when we come back.
Sasha Vickery is joining us. She's a professional tennis player.
She's actually in town for the US Open, but she
has been going viral because of her only fans page

(28:24):
and all of the criticism that she's gotten for that.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
So we shall.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Discuss that with her, as well as the thousand dollars
that she requires as a deposit to go on a
date with her.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
It's not prostitution. Guys, She's gonna explain it.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
It's way up this, Yeah, y'all more way up with
Angelae on now what it is? What's up his way
up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
I'm here, Jasmine Brand is here here and back again.
Sasha Vickery is here. Hey Sasha, how are you feeling?

Speaker 5 (28:52):
Thanks for having me again.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Well, first of all, you're in town for a US Open,
so talk to me about how that's been going. I
saw a big congratulations for you.

Speaker 5 (28:59):
Yeah yeah, yeah, won my first round and I was
injured for a few months. I had some shoulder issues.
But for my first tournament back, it went well. I
played great and we're happy for you.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
But you've also been going viral and this is all
because you have an only fans account, and you said
it's the easiest money that you've ever made. But talk
to us about your only fans account. Yeah, so I
started my account in January. But I think people you
know that you have to realize there's different levels to
only fans shows, cooking shows. Yeah, I just did a
pickleball show.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
So it's not always like just going on there and
you're just seeing like horn or whatever it is. It's
like you can be on there and do playful stuff
and find other ways to make great money on there,
which I've done.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
And there's other tennis players that are on only fans
as well.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Yeah, I just feel like, you know, I got a
little bit more.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Yeah you so why Yeah if we had to ask you.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
Why just being like a black woman. And I mean
there are other tennis players that I mean they have
lingerie contenau like right, I've never seen back at the
type of backlash like and you know, I was like
playfully doing a Q and A with my followers, like
I like, you know, I troll a lot with my
followers and stuff and and and people were asking me like,

(30:11):
you know, what's your dating life like and this and that,
and I was kind of just like, you know, like
I approached thirty and at this point, like I'm not
wasting any more time, Like now you've got to give
me a pre date deposit, So give us.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
A thousand dollars Okay, So that talk to us about that,
because I was I love pardident that people were talking
about that if they want to take you out on
a date, you need a deposit of a thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Is that true or were you trolling?

Speaker 5 (30:33):
It was just trolling.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
It's not a bad idea, I mean.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
Surprisingly, like I'm telling you, I've gotten like positive feedback
from that. The people were like, you know what, that's
like not a bad idea, right, But it was just
joking and I got so many like requesters like okay,
we're ready to pay, Like when.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Is this you never do?

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Because Angela talked about this story on her show and
I was like, well, that weeds out the people that
are not serious. Right now, professional tennis player Sasha Vickery
is here and we're talking about her OnlyFans page and
why it costs such a stir. But on the flip side,
has this help with the numbers because now everyone knows
you have an only fans And.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
I've had like a tremendous flip. Like I was already
you know, doing pretty good, like you know, for just
starting out, but it kind of like skyrocketed over the
past couple of days. And again, I'm very transparent on
there on what my content is. I mean, I have
pinned to my profile, like you know, I don't do
naked content. I don't do nudes like I do playful

(31:35):
bikini lingerie stuff.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
And you have bikini stuff on your Instagram.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
So it's not like, like you said, this is just different,
more content, but you have that on your Instagram. Yeah,
so it's not like yeah, and even when you play tennis,
I mean we get to see your curves and I'm
coming up.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
Yeah yeah, but it's like the thing is with me,
It's like there's there's nothing I can do about that.
Like my body is my I don't do anything like
you know, yeah, you know sometimes like I don't know,
like I kind of get body shame for that. They're like,
your butt's too big, like you're this It's like I've
been like that since I.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
Was twelve, sounds to me. Yeah, and there are people
who are paying for that. All right.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Jasmine Brand is here with me and we're talking to
Sasha Vickery. We're discussing her OnlyFans page and a lot
of things that she said on live. Some of it
was just trolling. We'll discuss it when we come back.
It's way out.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Oh oh you.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
Way up with Angela Yee more.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Now what's up is way yup with Angela Yee and
I am here with my girl, Jasmine Brand. We got
a special guest Sasha Vickery. She went viral last week
when she revealed that she hasn't only fans, but she
also went viral for saying that she charges one thousand
dollars deposit to go out on a date with her.
People see a story like this and they don't know
the Sasha Vickery background, like how you even got to

(32:46):
where you are today and what you've gone through, what
your family has gone through, because tennis is an expensive sport.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
Yeah, no, I've obviously I've I've done well in my
tennis correct and you know, I'm fine, Like I really
don't need to do only fans. But again it's like
if it's free money, I can spend easily, like without
trying one hundred to one hundred and fifty K a year,
and that's on coaching, hotels, food, flights. It's I cover
everything myself and I have my whole entire life like

(33:14):
I've never had financial backing, Like I've done everything myself,
which is ludicrous because most players you have some kind
of backing, whether that's like your country, you know, your federation,
a private sponsor. I never had any of that. Another
thing with the only fans is now I can fund
my career for a couple more years, you know, just
being on that platform. So that's another thing. It's people

(33:35):
don't understand how expensive tennis is. You have to invest
into your future.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
What's the craziest request you ever got from somebody on
your only fans.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
One guy he wanted me to play a match and
he was like, can you send me your underwear, socks
and everything that you use during the match. And I
was like, I was like that that's a little deep, Like, oh,
I know, like let me see how much first?

Speaker 3 (34:03):
What was he willing to pay?

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Close to one thousand?

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Okay, if anybody needs this stuff, I have one sitting here.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:12):
People will think that's a big deal.

Speaker 8 (34:13):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (34:13):
And I'm like, that is about not that serious.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
It's not that serious.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Right right now, professional tennis player Sasha Vickery is here
and we're talking about her only Fans page and why
it costs such a stir as you're thinking about the future, now,
what are the things that you want to do for
Sasha Vickery?

Speaker 5 (34:31):
Yeah, I know, just making it clear, it's like I'm
still an active pro tennis player. I'm still very much
invested in my career. Like I said, a lot of
my money from only fans is going back into funding
my tennis. Yeah, So right now I'm still focused on
my tennis. I'm going to play the rest of the season. Yeah,
and I'm gonna continue exploring other avenues too, while I'm
still very much focused on my tennis.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Was all of this mentally hard for you.

Speaker 5 (34:54):
Honestly, No, because being on tour, the amount of messages
we get, like after you lose matches, like any athlete
will tell you, like you get death threats like I've
gotten like you're a monkey, you're this, and I wish
this on your family, death to you know, bizarre. Yeah,
And we get hundreds of those messages. So that's something

(35:14):
I've been dealing with for ten plus.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
I would let to pull up on some of this.

Speaker 8 (35:18):
I would love.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
I would love to all those kinds of hateful messages
and then put their picture where they live, they work.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
I would love to like shine a light.

Speaker 5 (35:25):
Yeah, and I've been called it everything in the book
cat and pick her to.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
This and they would never say that to your face ever. Yeah,
and then you know what they probably look like exams.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
Yeah, but I have I have a thick skin. Let
me do me. I'm making a better life for myself.
I love to see it.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Sashion, and I thank you for coming up here and
sharing with us, and good luck.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Thank you, and I'm glad you're back on the court.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. I
love coming here.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
You can watch that phot interview with Sash Victory on
my YouTube channel Way Up with You and when we
come back, you guys have the last word.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
The.

Speaker 6 (35:58):
Get your voice heard with the word. He's the last
word on Way Up with Angela Ye?

Speaker 3 (36:03):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (36:04):
His Way Up with Angela yee? And I am here
with my good friend John Laster. He is not just
a hilarious comeding but also a founder of black Give
us the rundown about black Blap is.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
An e commerce app for black owned businesses. It's a
new black Amazon and yeah, and we get more and
more businesses on there.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
So if you have an online business, please hit us up.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Okay and John and people want to invest in black
Can they still do that?

Speaker 4 (36:28):
Yes you can. There's not much time left. But the
only thing is it's not a publicly traded company, so
our investors are you know, somewhere between twenty five K
fifty K. We could let you in at ten k,
but you better say that, you know, Angela Yee period.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Well again, thank you to Sashia Vickory for sharing her
story with us about joining OnlyFans. There was a lot
of misinformation and I don't like that. People were being
real nasty and rude in the comments. And she's right,
she's a black woman. She's very curvacious and people would
definitely come crazy at her. And tennis is a wild
sport to be a black woman in. We know that

(37:03):
from Serena, you know, and everything that she's had to
go through.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
But again, I.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Want to one more time, Angela Ye Day was on Saturday,
like one last time. Thank you to everybody who came
out who participated, all of the hair braiders, to the barber,
to all of the sponsors who made it happen, everybody
up here behind the scenes at iHeart that really went
hard to make sure that it was a successful day.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
I got to do a post. I'm so bad at this.
