Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're tapped in the way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
It is the Friday before Christmas, so there's a lot
going on. Happy Holidays to everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I know.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I'm sure people saw the news that my brother passed.
I want to think everybody who has been sending well wishes,
people who have been sharing their own stories, it's been
really helpful. I know I haven't been able to really
respond to a lot of people right now, just dealing
with a lot of family, you know, at my house,
trying to get things together, but I just want people
to know that it is appreciated, and if I haven't

(00:34):
had a chance to respond, I'm seeing mostly everything, So
thank you so much for that. Tamar Braxton is going
to be joining us today.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
She has a.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Project out, Heartbreak Retrograde, as well as a movie that
goes along with it. So you know, she's you know,
gone through her share of heartbreak, so I guess now
she's feeling like that chapter is over and moving on.
But there was so much drama behind her putting out
this movie that she did. Also, Maine was going to
be joining us today shortly. He's like family to me too.

(01:08):
So that's a good positive thing. And we're all going
to start the show up with some love and some positivity.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
It is that time of the year also where people
are doing a lot of things for the holidays to
help other people, and so I want to make sure
that we acknowledge that.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
In shina light, Yes, Danielle, I would.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
Just like to say on behalf of myself and everyone
up here. We love you, we care about you, and
if there's anything you need, we're always here for you.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Well, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I appreciate that. So, you know, spreading the love and
the positivity. Call us up eight hundred two nine to
fifty one fifty. Let's shine a light when we come back.
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I'm shame. I'm much shine.

Speaker 6 (01:44):
Turn your lights on, y'all spreading love to those who
are doing greatness.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Hina light on, the shine the light on. It's time
to shine a light on.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
All right, it's way up with angela gie and it
is time to shine a light. And today, hey, I
want to shine a light on several give backs that
are happening. But shout out to my girl Chanel Dominique
in Detroit. Detroit moves its people Holiday give back, bringing
families downtown for free rides, food, gifts, and music. It's
a give back that gets the people moving. Is actually

(02:16):
happening tomorrow from one pm to four pm in Detroit,
and they're going to prepare for the Christmas holiday season
this Saturday by bringing registered Detroit families downtown for a
one of a kind mobile holiday experience across the Detroit
People Mover, combining free transportation, food gifts, music, and a
powerful car giveaway. This is all happening in real time.

(02:39):
Also a shout out to a GFB development. I'm actually
helping them an alloy with their toy drive that's going
to be happening in Brooklyn tomorrow free toys. You know
I helped assist with that last year. So Way Up
with You is one of the sponsors this year. So
we just want to shout out to the community. And
there's going to be free hair braiding, free haircuts provided

(02:59):
by Basket Lather. There's going to be free food trucks
outside everything that you can imagine for the holidays, just
to get into the holiday spirit. Now, Leslie, who do
you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 7 (03:11):
I want to sign the light on my daughter.

Speaker 8 (03:13):
Her name is Zarah Land.

Speaker 9 (03:15):
Today is her tenth birthday and I just want to
for her happy birthday. And she's an amazing young lady,
a great big sister and just all around just with kids.
I appreciate her and happy ten birthday baby.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Ten years old? Boy? What a time?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
What is she in the fifth grade now? And the
fourth grade? Okay, I have to do my math in
my head real quick. All right, Well, shout out to
you two for raising an amazing little girl.

Speaker 8 (03:41):
Appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Thank you, Holliday, thank you Happy Holidays.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
That would shine a light eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty In case you couldn't get through,
you could always leave a message and shine a light
that way. And when we come back, Torry Lanez has
given his first on camera interview with MBC and we
have some of the takeaways from what he had to say.
It's way up, they says, soothing the rooms from industry shade.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
To all of gos apout send. Angelas is feeling that yet.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
It's way up with Angela yee and it is time
for your yet and let's talk about Tory Lanz. He
has spoken publicly for the first time on camera since
being convicted.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
He sat down with NBC.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
For this interview, and part of what he said is
he doesn't believe that he's a monster, even though other
people may think so.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I would never hit a woman, let alone shoot a woman.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
I was catapulted into this poster child for the unprotection
of black women, and it's just so unlike me.

Speaker 10 (04:42):
You can look at my criminal record, I don't have one.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
That connotation that I would do anything of this monstrous
proportion is completely incorrect.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
All right.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
In addition to that, you know, he did not testify,
and there is what he is saying, new evidence, and
he says his legal team has filed the necessary paperwork
trying to get a pardon or a commutation from Governor
Gavin Newsom. Here's what he had to say about not
testifying and if he would have.

Speaker 10 (05:10):
I think if I would have taken the stand, the
verdict would have definitely been very different.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
I believe not only that I was finally convicted, but.

Speaker 10 (05:18):
The amount of new evidence that has emerged since that trial,
I think has been overwhelming. And when I talk about
my case, I don't want it to be taken as
mean coming at her because it's not that.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
He also discussed the trauma that he has from being
in prison and almost losing his life.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
I've done my best to keep my head above water,
but mentally, I've.

Speaker 7 (05:40):
Gone through trauma that I.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Sometimes even struggle with because I've never imagined myself dealing
with things that I would have to deal with. I've
been stabbed seventeen times, almost lost my life.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
He also would like a face to face with Megan
is Stallion. I cannot ever see her doing that. But
here is what he had to say about that He's.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Both gone through a lot.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
There's this connotation that, like, I share this hatred for her,
but I don't. I genuinely passed that. I'm not a
place of healing in my life. I'm not a place
of taking accountability for the.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Things that I did wrong.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
You know, And Dan, I want to say this.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I think part of his issue was how he reacted afterward,
where she's been through the trauma she's been through, and
he was kind of mocking her doing albums and music
and that did not go over well.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
And so the way that people view is probably because
of what you.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
Did, they're going to give him another chance in court.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Well, he definitely had I don't know about in court.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
He's just trying to get a pardon, okay, and so
that is really I think what he's hoping can happen.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
And they did confirm that he did file all.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Of that necessary paperwork in order to try to make
that happen. Now, whether or not Gavin Newsom is going
to do that, it's a whole nother story. But he
has to take accountability for those things. And I guess
what he's saying is that I don't know what he's
saying about that, but what he's saying is that he
doesn't have a record.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
He's not a violent person.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
This could have been a night that just went terribly,
terribly wrong, but it's also how you acted after that night.
All right, Well that is your Yet when we come back,
it's a new music Friday, and we'll tell you what
new music is out today that you should be checking out.
You know, we love Fridays just for that reason. It's
way out.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
This is a judgment freeze on, tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
What's up his way up at Angela yee? And you
know what time it is on this Friday. It's time
for you to call us up and tell us a
secret eight hundred and two ninety two fifty one fifty
Any secret you have, it's a no judgment zone. And
you are anonymous? What's up, anonymous, cal Air? What's your secret?

Speaker 8 (07:47):
My secret is I'm having affair with my best friend.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Hug Baby. How long y'all been best friends?

Speaker 8 (07:55):
We did best friends for about set?

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Okay, how did this even start?

Speaker 8 (07:59):
First of all, they recently just got there. But one
day we had a girl's night and we had another
whole seo and we have both of her partners there.
So her partner ended up leaving, which is turn with
her husband. But then I want to go take a
shower and I come back and she was causing effect
with my man.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
What so what I did?

Speaker 8 (08:19):
I told her man about it or whatever. Then we
end up putting up and we just been on on
and off for about a year.

Speaker 9 (08:26):
Maybe.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
So wait, that's still your best friend after you caught
her having sex with your man?

Speaker 8 (08:31):
I mean, I got my papa. Oh that's how I
feel about it.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
This don't sound like best friend behavior.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
You know?

Speaker 9 (08:37):
Yeah, I'm to send her in our friend.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Do you want her husband? No?

Speaker 8 (08:42):
I do not one of my men though, when I
had them.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Do you want her to know about this?

Speaker 8 (08:47):
I mean, if she hears it on the radio, she will.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Okay, all right, well again this is a no judgment zone.
Thank you for calling. Hey, what's up? An Adams called?
How are you?

Speaker 9 (08:58):
Hey? I'm doing good.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
I'm glad to hear it. You want to tell us
a secret?

Speaker 10 (09:02):
Yes I do.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Okay, I'm listening.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
So when we.

Speaker 9 (09:07):
Were in our twenties, men, my sister her six suppers.
So my sister was looking at our blood tight and
she figured out that our father's not our father?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
What from the blood toe.

Speaker 9 (09:22):
We got our mom in the room and we said,
tell us the truth, wow, and she smiled. She said, no,
that's not your father.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (09:31):
When my mom passed away, she never told anybody, and
we never told anybody, and my father never knew.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Is he still alive?

Speaker 11 (09:40):
No?

Speaker 9 (09:41):
And my logical father passed like when he was in
his search and we found out that we have sisters
and brothers and all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Did you try to contact them?

Speaker 11 (09:52):
Well?

Speaker 9 (09:52):
I told my sister we should, but she's just effy.
But other than that, nobody in our family knows.

Speaker 12 (09:59):
No.

Speaker 9 (10:00):
When my father and mother past, and other siblings short
action crazy me and my sister looked alike. Can't got
to say, bob.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Anyway, right, we're not really all the way related right
if we look now, that's wild.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I know you lightweight.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Do want to meet your other family though? Yes, I know,
ain't them crazy? Them secrets families have. Yes, Well, thank
you for calling and sharing with us.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
All right, you're all right, take care.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
That was tell us a secret eight hundred and two
ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through,
then you can leave a message and tell us a
secret for last word. And when we come back, we
got your yet. And let's talk about tylo versus Jordan Pauline.
She's accusing him of sexual assault and he is attempting
to clear his name. Let's see what you think when

(10:50):
you hear what he had to say about the events
that occurred that night and thereafter.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
She's like to talk like they Angela Jean, like they
ANGELI jee man.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
She's spilling it all. This is yet way.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
It's way yep, but angela ye, and it's time for
your yet now. First, an update on Rob and Michelle Reiner,
who were killed in their home by their son, Nick Reiner.
I think they're still investigating, but he was diagnosed with
schizophrenia and in the weeks leading up to the murder
of his parents, according to TMZ, they said the meds
that he was taking made him erratic and dangerous. Two

(11:28):
sources told TMZ Nick was under the care of a
psychiatric of a psychiatrist for mental illness. They said before
the murders, his behavior had gotten alarming, and he recently
was at a rehab facility that charges seventy thousand dollars
a month. The doctors changed his meds, he became even
more erratic. They were trying to adjust things so that
he could stabilize, but it just wasn't working. And they

(11:50):
said he was out of his head once the meds
were changed, and his substance abuse was also making schizophrenia worse.
And so what they're saying is it looks like Nick
is going to not guilty by reason of insanity. So
that's just an update on that tragic situation, all right now,
ty Lil James, he has finally broken his silence on

(12:12):
these sexual assault claims by Jordan Pauline. If you don't remember,
here is what Jordan Pauline originally had to say.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I was sexually assaulted at a dream and war party.

Speaker 13 (12:21):
People are evil and malicious and I don't care how
drunk somebody is.

Speaker 10 (12:27):
You should never take advantage of them.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
My phone was stolen and broken. I had no way
to get home.

Speaker 9 (12:33):
He takes me the reason why he stopped anyway, because
I started boohoo crying.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
All right now, she has, you know, come forward with
these claims, and Tyler Lil James is quiet until now.
He put out a video and said that his legal
team has issued her a cease and desist and plans
to file a defamation lawsuit against her. And he also
put out his own receipts and evidence that disputes what

(13:01):
she had to say.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Here is what Tylo had to say.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
My silence does not mean I'm guilty.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
My silence was intentional.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
My team has already sent Jordan a cease and desist
and we are also moving forward with a little suit for.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Defamation all right now.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
He also, as part of his evidence, said that he
had to start taping her because of how she was
behaving to protect himself. He said normally he doesn't videotape
and has never videotaped any encounters, but in particular with her,
he decided he needed to.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
And here is that I never had.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
A lot in my life, d he said, my life.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
In addition, he said when she left, he called her
an uber and it was a Toyota and she came
back up and said, I need a black car, and
so he did call her a black car for her
to go home. Then he said she requested a two
thousand dollars payment on Zell and he did not send
her the money. And so he's basically saying that he's
getting extorted. This is black mil. He apologized to his

(14:01):
girlfriend after posting these receipts against her sexual assault claims,
and he said, I want to apologize to my lady.
I love you and I'm sorry that was whack and
I should have knew better. These females are evil and jealous.
Now Jordan Pauline has responded and said all rapists must die,
bro and then she said he's still a rapist. God
always has the final say, He's seen and heard it

(14:22):
all and he don't play about me. The police got
all the details, so stay tuned, so we'll watch and
keep you updated as all that this plays out. Now
when we come back, we have under the radar. These
are the stories that are not in the headlines. They're
flying under the radar, but you need to know about them.
And you know the holidays are coming up, and did
you know there is a specific time when cheating skyrockets.
We'll give you the details on when that time is

(14:44):
and the reason why.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
It's way up.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Ye news.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
It's way up at Angela, Ye, and it's time for
under the radar now. Donald Trump has issued in executive
order this was yet yesterday, declaring that Christmas Eve and
December twenty six are federal holidays this year.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
That is like next week. And so what that means.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Is that federal agencies will be closed and employees will
be excused from duty next Wednesday through Friday because Christmas
is already a federal holiday. I mean, what type of
planning goes into that These people that have things to do,
like at the bank and things like that, now they're
going to be closed.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
What did you think, Dan, because I see you.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
I mean, it doesn't surprise me. You put his name
on it. So it's all about ego.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Is it gonna make it like Trump Day or something?

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Probably? Oh my god, sure, going to add to the
travel disaster too.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
During the summer year, all right, in Brown University, that
shooting suspected gunman was found dead in New Hampshire last night.
According to federal law enforcement sources, two students were killed.
Nine people were injured during the shooting, and they had
bought a person of interest into custody shortly after. That
man was later released and they were photos and videos
of a different person, and so they did find him.

(15:58):
His name is Claudio Manu Neves Valente, a forty eight
year old former Brown graduate student and immigrant from Portugal.
He at some point withdrew from the university for an
undisclosed reason. He did get his US lawful permanent residency
in April of twenty seventeen, and so that is detectors
were able to trace him to a storage unit in Salem,

(16:21):
New Hampshire. They located an abandoned car with a license
plate they believed to be connected to him, and that's
when they found him with a self inflicted gunshot wound.
And you know, my brother went to Brown and when
all of this happened. He was really stressed out about it.
Then he said he had a really bad headache, you know.
And so that was really kind of the last long
interaction I had with him before he passed. All right,

(16:45):
now the month when cheating skyrockets and why these are
relationship patterns that have been studied, And according to research,
there is a specific time of year when infidelity increases.
So according to this research, they're saying it's the second
Monday after Christmas, and that's because it's a lot of
stress during the holidays. People are being forced to be together,

(17:06):
a lot of financial issues, and so they said that
people are more inclined to cheat during this time.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
They want to regain their freedom.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Imagine being locked in for holiday things that you have
to do, obligations, And they said it's a basic expression
of the human need for excitement and departure from routine.
And so people with the excitement of holidays being over,
it's difficult to adjust back to their same old, same
old lifestyle.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
So that's that, don't cheat.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
I want to say that too, because we've seen go
left time and time again. All right, well, that is
your under the radar. We do have the way up
mix at the top of the hour. Plus Tamar Braxton
is going to be joining us. She admitted to cheating
in her previous relationship Heartbreak Retrograde the movie and the
album is out now, will be discussing its way up.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
What you want to Tea cause she came or received
It's time to spell.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Like et all right?

Speaker 3 (18:03):
His way up at Angela y and it's time for
your et. And let's talk about Conway the Machine. He
was on Whose House That's dj wo Kids podcast, and
he talked about a lot of different things, Eminem's influence
on him and the gems that he got from him.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
But in addition to all of that, he also he
also discussed jay.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Z and tried to get jay Z and he remember
he kept talking about how he really wanted to get
jay Z on a song and he's been trying.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
But here's what he said.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
He did get jay you just ain't been in the
space doing on music man, at least that's what he
told me.

Speaker 7 (18:37):
Gave me a couple of lines low key, I'm gonna
keep it a by price, you know what I mean.
I'm probably gonna get a phone call. Gave me a
couple of lines on the Justice League album Give Me
four bars right with Johasha in this sho.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Okay, give him his publishing all right now, Marlon Wayans.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Says that there is a reason why he stopped feuding
with fifty cent. Remember they were going back and forth,
back and forth. It was a little ridiculous. And he
recently spoke to KTLA and here's what happened.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
Baman was like, why you pick the biggest brother he's on,
gimmele ras stick to beefer, which soldier boy people.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
That we can be, but I backed out.

Speaker 13 (19:20):
I just want to focus on positivity, fun and I
got a movie coming out, Scary Movie six.

Speaker 3 (19:26):
All right, So this is all over the reckoning that
did he documentary and Marlin said that he's gone so
far as to even avoid saying fifty cents name anymore,
and fifty responded, he said, I'm glad he didn't make
me have to act like I don't want to see
Scary Movie six.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
We good.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
So there you go. You can't end up beef with
fifty cent, all right. Now.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Another person who ended up beef for fifty cent was
Fat Joe, and recently he was on his Joe and
Data podcast. He was talking to Tony Yeo and Uncle Murder,
who also have a podcast on the Way, and he
discussed the time that he beat up young buds.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
He said, he never told this story before.

Speaker 7 (20:02):
You know, I caught Young Buck. Now he got a
two piece. Legends that try the front of me.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
You're hitting off the stage and it's dumb dark, and
there was somebody up on the second themes like yo
crack when I just got.

Speaker 7 (20:13):
Off stage and whipping it down.

Speaker 11 (20:14):
You hit me.

Speaker 7 (20:15):
I look up, Oh it's Young Buck. I got a
water bottle on my hand.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Got it all right?

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Well, Young Buck has been on his social media page
responding to this. He did a whole breaking news twenty
years later and Young Buck finally out of the er
from that Fat Joe two piece is one of the
posts that he did. He also did another post, He's
finally out after twenty years. Young Buck just released. Then
in addition to all of that, he also put out

(20:42):
a song and he said said, you gave me a
two piece.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Well, here's the biscuit and here's the song.

Speaker 6 (20:48):
Minute up only podcasts making me Little kid Joe, I'm recovering.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Look at talk the fifth Peak said you gave me
a two piece.

Speaker 7 (20:54):
Well, here's the.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Peas told the story, but you just had the cord twisted.
Note I will miss it.

Speaker 7 (21:00):
You move bakhah wah.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
They sit and think it out with Christo.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
What is going on? But anyway, I'm sure at some
point young Buck's going to tell his side of the
story as well.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
That don't always be telling a story and then somehow
it turns out that people don't believe him. All right,
Well that is your yeete. When we come back, it
is a new music Friday. Will tell you what albums
you should be checking for today. Earlier we did some
and now we're going to add somewhere to that list.
It's way up, whether.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
It's relationship or career advice. Angela's dropping facts you.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Should This is Eske what's up? His way up at
Angela Yuin.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
It's time for ask ye And today somebody left a voicemail.
They need some help because they are having issues forgiving
their in laws and it's a burden to them.

Speaker 11 (21:45):
I have an issue with my in laws. I can't
stand them, and I want to find out how do
I forgive them in my own way, Not so much
forget what.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
They did, but forgive them for what they did.

Speaker 11 (21:55):
It's not putting in a strain of my wife because
I don't want to talk about it. They used me,
to have used me and my wife, and they're not
apologetic for it. And when it first of all went down,
I was wanting karma to take care of It's all
about doing it, but doing therapy for now. But I
just want to see what can I do to forgive them,
But for.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Myself, what I would like to know is if your
wife is aware of what your in laws have done
that has been such a burden on you that it
requires you to go to therapy and forgiveness. And I
do want to say I commend the fact that it
feels like you've come a long way already and wanting
to feel that way and realizing the burden that it
has on you, because sometimes people get so blinded by

(22:37):
the idea of revenge that they can't see past that.
So it already feels like you're on your path toward
healing from this and freeing yourself from this burden. I
think going to therapy has been a good first step.
And I'm curious of how much you share with your
wife and if you guys are in therapy together because
I just want to make sure this feels like this
is a heavy load for you to bear alone and

(22:59):
having the support of your wife could be something that
is really beneficial for you. And because I don't know
exactly what it is that they did, I know you
said that they used you, you and your wife and
it's been difficult for you, and you were hoping that
karma would get to them.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
And I do want to say the universe does normally
work that way.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
It may take thirty forty years, but we've seen people
who have prospered and done awful things at some point
get there just do whether or not it could come
from their own anxiety and their own issues that they're
going to have with themselves knowing what they've done. I
want to say that we are not ever responsible for
what anybody else does to us. We're only responsible for

(23:39):
how we react and what we do. So I love
the fact that you're taking control of what you can control.
Because you can't control other people, you can control yourself.
You can limit your interactions with them, you can set
those boundaries and do what you need to do for
your own self, and you can't go ahead and live
your best damn life, because that's always and I know
it's cliche to say the best revenge, but one thing

(24:02):
is for certain, people know when they wrong you, and
they know when you're still continuing to thrive and prosper,
and they're not allowed to come in and thrive and
prosper with you.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
And so I just want to encourage you to stay
on that path, be.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Patient with yourself, be forgiving of yourself too, and I
think that's important. So thank you so much for calling in,
for having this message to share with our audience, because
I'm sure this will help somebody else as well. All right,
Well that was ask ye eight hundred and two ninety
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
can always leave a message like this gentleman did. And
when we come back, Tamar Braxton is going to be

(24:33):
joining us. She's talking all about accountability on this Heartbreak
Retrograde project.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
We'll discuss it with her. Mayo's going to join us too.
It's way up.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
It's gonna turn me up.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Here we go again.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
This is way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
What's up is way up with Angela Yee. Mayno's here.
You feel always a treat and Taymar Braxton is in
the building. IM sure, I move my bags where people
can see.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Thank you all right and congratulations on Heartbreak retrog not
just an EP but also a movie.

Speaker 13 (25:02):
Yes, yes, I had to because the EP really told
a story and I wanted people to understand the story
that I was telling.

Speaker 7 (25:11):
Every song is something something that you actually went through.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Absolutely, so you were seeing Can you be in love
with two people at once?

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (25:19):
Absolutely, you think so much.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
I think you can be confused by one. There's always
somebody you like better though.

Speaker 13 (25:24):
That's what I was trying to say. Yeah, you're confused
by one. You might like the attention from one, you
know what I mean. Then you might really have a
vibe with the other, you know what I mean. But
it's always something that's missing, and nothing is In my experience,
nothing of the two was complete.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Does that make sense? I can understand, can I build
the perfect person? But there is no sense of being?

Speaker 7 (25:44):
You might need a couple people to build that perfect thing, right?

Speaker 9 (25:48):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 11 (25:48):
No?

Speaker 13 (25:49):
No, it was just a situation.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
And I didn't meet too and you broke somebody's heart
did And sometimes when that happens, you realize that you
messed up and that was the person you should.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
Have went with.

Speaker 13 (26:00):
Well, I knew when I ended the situation, the affair situation,
but I was upfront about how I felt about the
person who I spun the block with, and I just
had unresolved feelings, you know, and I had to see
it through. I mean, I'm sorry that somebody got hurt
in the interim of that, but I really had to

(26:20):
figure that out and heal from that situation.

Speaker 7 (26:23):
Was it something that you wasn't getting in that relationship
that made you feel like you had.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Nothing to do with had everything to do with me?
Look at that accountability.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
You too, will take accountability for the stop it Right now,
Mano and I are here and talking to Tamar Braxton
about her project Heartbreak Retrograde alongside.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Her mini movie. Now, first of all, you have Vince
on here.

Speaker 12 (26:46):
Now.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
I find that's so funny because with you and your
ex husband, you actually can talk to him.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
That's how we are in real life.

Speaker 7 (26:53):
That is because he.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
Talked to you about women.

Speaker 13 (26:55):
Well, he has an amazing girlfriend. I think he did
it this time. Okay, he was like slam dunked it
this time. She's a really, really nice beautiful lady.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
That's dope.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
I love that now learning from past situations? Yes, how
do you move forward now? Like, what are some things
that you're like, Okay, this is what Tay needs to
do in order for her to, you know, find happiness,
because I know you want to, You've spoken to.

Speaker 13 (27:18):
I really want to, and I feel like I'm ready
and I'm ready now because I fully healed from everything,
all of my past relationships, and I had to do
a lot of work to do that.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
How do you heal girl? Therapy, real therapy, real therapy, you.

Speaker 13 (27:35):
Know, and medication.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
You know, I need no help sometimes, right, Yeah, and
so and that's just my journey. It's worked for me.

Speaker 7 (27:43):
I respect that you you open about that because a
lot of people not as honest.

Speaker 5 (27:47):
Yeah, but a lot of.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
People are addicted to their nervous system being out of whack. Now,
I want to ask you about one of my favorite
songs on the album when you know, you know.

Speaker 13 (27:55):
There was times I was like straight up crying in
the booth, you know, because I'm letting it out and
letting it go.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
So that crime was like releasing and the therapy of it. Yeah,
because I had a.

Speaker 13 (28:05):
Lot of grief behind it, and a lot of guilt too.
A lot of people don't speak about when you are
accountable for things. You are going through something as well,
you know what I mean, And I just had to
allow myself to go through it.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
What are some things you learned about yourself and therapy?
I learned every day you sharing that in relationships.

Speaker 13 (28:37):
The biggest thing that I've learned is I used to
give all of me and I can't do that anymore, okay,
because then I lose myself.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
All right, I'm here with Mano. We are talking to
Tamar Braxton. Heartbreak Retrograde.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
The movie and the album are out right now. We
got more when we come back. It's way up.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
It's way up with Angela, let's go. You are a
media maven, right, you never know, just gonna.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Say what's up his way?

Speaker 3 (29:02):
But Angela yee, of course, mayn't have to step through
to talk to Tamar Braxton. She has her album Heartbreak
Retrograde out right now, as well as a movie on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
You can check it out. Another thing you did in
this movie and y'all got to watch this. My guy
Julia Horton is in it.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
I love him.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
I love him too, he's so attractive. It shouldn't have
been which shouldn't have been.

Speaker 7 (29:23):
It shouldn't have though, I did you wrote that dialogue?
It was some very graphic which part I was like,
you gotta stop playing with me. I'm sucking it, kiss
kiss on me. That party, He's a little like that
was crazy that that was really wrote that.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
No, he wrote that part.

Speaker 7 (29:45):
He wrote that.

Speaker 13 (29:46):
Well, let me tell you it was a very important
part of the movie because this is okay, so this,
this is another thing that I learned.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 13 (29:54):
So we hear all about women all the time. When
the women set up, we gone, we out of here.
No one ever speak about a man and women.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
When a man is done?

Speaker 12 (30:03):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Like?

Speaker 7 (30:04):
What do I get done?

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Done?

Speaker 7 (30:06):
And it was him being done being done?

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Yeah, I feel like men don't want to know when
women cheat. Well, the part of the film where Medces
takes my phone, that really happened. Somebody really took your
phone and went through it and read once again, you
shifted my uterus.

Speaker 7 (30:23):
Oh so you said that. Oh I like her honesty,
You're the greatest.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
You can't come back from that, You can't, You might
not ever come back from that. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
He might be thinking, I ain't shifted nothing.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
Yeah, I ain't shifted.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
I'm not a shifting when really I was just popping, right,
I get it, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (30:42):
You were just talking.

Speaker 12 (30:43):
Hey, I was in my masculine energy and I was
just like I had a good time, right basically basically,
But reading that though, it's horrible, and I felt.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
That's why I had so much grief. I felt so bad.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
I will never do that to another person ever, no
matter what. It was a lesson which just now this
guy and was like, I saw your project. I saw
the movie, and I'm willing to give it another shot.

Speaker 13 (31:07):
Well, the truth is I set that person down and
told them that it was coming out and sent them
the record and talked about it and told them why
it was important for me to publicly take accountability because.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I had to let it go because it was so
much grief.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
And you're also doing a part two. Yes, all right,
so what's gonna be happening? Can you give us a
little sneak peek into what's happening?

Speaker 13 (31:26):
And we have the very beginning stages of writing for it,
but it's nothing about heartbreak because that'll never happen to
me again.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Okay, so this is the heals.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
This is yeah right now, Mano and I are here
and talking to Tamar Braxon about her project Heartbreak Retrograde
alongside her mini movie.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
This season of the Braxons was a lot for everyone. Yeah,
and you want to know why.

Speaker 13 (31:47):
I think it was a lot for everyone, not just
because people are not used to seeing us that way.
I think that a lot of people mirrored their families.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
It felt like this was the most explosive ever though,
Like we've never seen you guys fit like get into it.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Yeah, it was so heavy. It never ever happened on
our off camera before.

Speaker 13 (32:06):
We just never got that close to being physical our
first of all, mother growing up would not allow it, right,
But you.

Speaker 5 (32:13):
Know I am.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
I mean, I know Tony Bryson was gangster, but she
was ready to go down.

Speaker 13 (32:19):
I just think that too much was discussed, right, But
what was important for me was to show some kind
of resolve, right, and so I orchestrated a retreat.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
It says the three of us went on it and
that made things much better.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
All right, Well, we are really hoping for healing for everything.
I know, thank you for relationships. But I know you
have a lot of things happening just personally right now.
So Paris are hoping that all of that. I mean,
it's families, so ups and downs. You guys you know
go through it sometimes publicly unfortunately, but it.

Speaker 12 (32:54):
Is what it is.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
It helps other people too. But I just feel, you know,
this is twenty twenty six is coming. It'll be a
great year.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Yeah, all right, Tamar Braxton, if you haven't seen Heartbreak
Retrograde the movie, make sure you watch it.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
It its entirety.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
It's about forty five minutes long, and then you can
really go back and listen to the music and kind
of put it all together.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yes, so on my YouTube it's on her you too.
Thank you so much to Tamar Braxton for joining us.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Make sure you check out the phone and if you
you're gonna want to do that on Way Up with
Ye and when we come back, you guys have the last.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
Word, pick up the phone, tapying to get your voice heard.
What the word bit here is the last word? On
Way Up with Angela? Ye?

Speaker 2 (33:32):
What's up his way up at Angela yee? And you know,
happy holidays.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
I see now the twenty fourth twenty fifth and twenty
six are supposed to be federal holidays. But I just
hope you guys are all safe, as you know, dealing
with a lot. But I appreciate everybody who listens. So
many people sent me just amazing private messages and left
comments about their own situations and their own grieving that
they've had to deal with losing people close to them.

(33:58):
You know, I lost my brother fifty one years old.
He had an aneurysm. A lot of people who have
had aneurysms and survived or know somebody who had an
aneurysm and didn't survive. And one thing I want to
say is when it feels like when that pain is
like stabbing in your head or a really bad migraine
that you've never experienced before, definitely definitely go to the doctor.

(34:21):
I know a lot of times things happen and we
look at ourselves, like, man, I wish me and my
brother tell me you had a headache. I would have
did something. I should have told them to go to
the doctor. I should have did you know whatever and so,
but who knows what would have happened even if he
would have went to the doctor. So just make sure
if something doesn't feel right, just get it checked out.
And we got to take care of ourselves and take
care of each other.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Thank you to.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Tamar Braxton for coming through and spending some time with us,
and make sure you check our heartbreak retrograde. And of
course have a great, great holiday. If you guys are
going somewhere, travel safe, get to the airport early, no stress,
enjoy yourself because you know tomorrow is never promised. But
we appreciate and I'm grateful for all of it. And

(35:02):
of course this is your show, so you have the
last word.

Speaker 8 (35:06):
Hey, Angela, I just want to try a light on you.
It takes the stress to show up to work.

Speaker 7 (35:12):
My condolences.

Speaker 8 (35:13):
I look up to you, I appreciate you. A lot
of us appreciate you, and this is getting my baby,
and I just wanted to just say I'm sorry for
your loss.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Be blessed. Fine.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
I want to shine a light on Angela ye this morning,
my condolences on the loss of your brother.

Speaker 11 (35:29):
I've just went through a loss myself.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
I want you to be blessed on purpose

Speaker 1 (35:34):
And have a beautiful day going way out turn out
