our condolences, but let's get it started.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Let's shine a light.

Speaker 3 (01:19):

All right, it's way up. I'm Angela Yee and I'm
joined by GJ. Maguire and Jordie Jewels Jory Yes. And
today we want to shine a light on somebody in
Darby in Pennsylvania. This woman, Patrice Banks, now she worked
as an engineer and she felt clueless and taken advantage
of when it came to her car. So she decided
to go back to school and everything that she could

(02:00):
about auto repair. And now she owns Girls Auto Clinic
and Upper Darby. She hires women and trains them to
work on the cars in her shop, but she also
has monthly clinics so women can take care of their
own cars in between service.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
And you can also get a manny and petty while
you wait shop.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
I think that's such a cute idea, because I know
for myself I just had some car issues and so
that's not the place.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
But you said you don't how to drive in process.
It don't even at put air in attire because I cannot.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
I can't do that.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I can do that, and I can change.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
My headlights and imagine going in and getting a manny
petty while while you get an oil change.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Oh my gosh, that's a beautiful thing.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
My sister lives in Derby. All right, Well, shout out
to patrise Banks. Now, who do you guys want to
shine a light on? Eight hundred two nineteen fifty one
fifty angel, Who do you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 8 (02:47):
I want to shine a light on my brother MKA
and my sisters, priesty.

Speaker 6 (02:52):
They've been sucking it out.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And doing a thing.

Speaker 8 (02:54):
They've been growing. They got a new spot, you know,
holding the spore down with the kids that I'm so fush.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Oh that's beautiful. All right. What's their names again?

Speaker 5 (03:04):
MK and Christy?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Okay, MJ and Christy? All right, Well, thank you for
calling than you too, be blessed. That was Shina Light
eight hundred and two nine two fifty one fifty if
you couldn't get through, and when we come back, we
have your yet and again we do have to start
this off with the rest in peace to rich Homy Kwan.
Will give you the details of what we know so
far surrounding his untimely death.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
It's way up, this.

Speaker 7 (03:27):
Says in the rooms from Industry Shade to all of
gossip out send Angela's speeling that EyeT.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
It's way up at Angela Yee. I'm Angela Yee and
I'm joined by DJ Maguire, Good morning and Jordi George,
Jordie George.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
All right, let's get into some yet.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Now. This is sad news to start with, but rich
Homie Kwan has passed away, and they actually have the
nine one one called. We're not going to do that
because that's really sad to listen to. But his girlfriend
is the person who called them was frantic. As she
was talking to the dispatcher. She said that he was
on the couch in the morning when she took her
son to school. She put a blanket over him, but

(04:06):
when she got home she noticed that he didn't move
and she didn't feel a heartbeat. She said she couldn't
see him breathing and turned him over and he was
foaming at the mouth.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
That has to be such a horrific experience I can
imagine for her.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
So I can't even picture what that must be like
to find the person that you love in that condition.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Yeah, thinking they're sleep and you know, he.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Was only thirty four years old.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
And when he was on My Expert Opinion, he talked
about having an addiction problem.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Here's what he said.

Speaker 9 (04:36):
I was on my lit every day listen gigked up, bro.
I felt like I couldn't do a show or a
song without being on my When did that start?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
When did the habit start?

Speaker 9 (04:46):
On the road before some type of way. We was
doing so many shows I couldn't stay up. I knew
some people like if I got started to keep you up?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
That is awful. I am so sorry to hear that.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
And then they even had a video where he was
in the car a few days for his stepth telling
people don't do drugs and people were saying you could
see his fingers were yellow. So just so much going on.
A lot of people were online giving their condolences. I
saw Quavo and Offset appear to be mending things following
that because of a picture Quavo posted and you can

(05:19):
see takeoffs in the picture with Tomy kwan Is in
the picture. Quavo also posted metro Booman's tribute and you know,
it's just tough and it makes you think like there's
people in your life that you may not be getting
along with them. But if something happened, life is short.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Life is way too short, and we don't know when
our day is going to come, how it was going
to come, what's going to happen, And it's just like
you never know. Mending those relationships with people that you
love is important.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Quavo posted good convo with my bro at offset and
so perhaps this is something that can bring them together hopefully.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
All right now? Jeannie mayan Jeezy more issues there.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
She says that he's not complying with the terms of
their divorce settlement and that he owes her money and
paperwork for two cars that they agreed that she would
be able to have. So she says that they was
supposed to be a deposit of at least five hundred
thousand dollars in an interest bearing account for their child,
also transferring the title for two cars, and also covering

(06:20):
four months of her rent. But she's saying that he
did not follow through on these things and that he's
also ghosting her. And so the settlement does call for
him to pay for a daycare cost and school tuition
for their child as well. She says that he owes
four thousand for tuition in childcare and also hasn't given
her access to the five hundred thousand dollars account he

(06:40):
was supposed to set up for their daughter. So we'll
see what happens, but she does want him held in
contempt and she went to what she's owed plus interest
as well. All right, well that is your yet when
we come back, we have about last night. That's where
we discussed what we did last night. I was at
the dentist yesterday. This is my first time having a

(07:02):
new dentist. We'll talk about it because I've had the
same dentist my whole entire life. And right now, let's
get into some bryceon Tila. Here is don't it's way
up at the Angela Gee, So about.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
Last night I went down last night.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
I'm here, Jiji McGuire's here, Good morning, Jordy do hey y'all.
So about last night that's where we discussed what we
did last night. What were you guys into?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
I cooked for Jordan's.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Last Night's famous cooking. We made some potatoes, obviously, and
of course some deviled Jordy. Jord don't like pizza, which
is so weird. Yeah, that's what we learned about Jordi
Georgia like pizza. We tried to have a pizza party.
It didn't work out.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
I need a French fry party.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
That's yeah. We made a party. So you made devil eggs.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Yeah, we made some linguini and clams. I thought it
was good, some chicken wings, some corn. I made the
ginger cucumber. Solid thought we didn't need.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
We forgot about it. You put it in the refrigerator
and then we're gonna have this.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Forgot about the vegetables. Yeah it was good.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Everything was good. We had a good time. So I
just got that Osmo to dgi Osmo. Okay, and yeah,
we we blogging. You know what, I should bring my
camera with me. I'm bringing never use it.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
It's cute.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
She connected it to the phone. You could see the screen.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
It was cute. All right.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Well, yesterday I was at the dentist and so This
is really different from me because my whole life, my
uncle has been my dentist, doctor Gary, but he just
retired and so now I had to find a new
dentist to deal with this filling that I needed. And
so doctor Rubinstein, I went to him in Brooklyn. It
was an amazing experience.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
You found the dentist.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Yes, you know, I've met him a while ago and
we've always talked about this, and I had him on
when we were on the Breakfast Club and he did
give a makeover to somebody, a mouthmake over. And so
I always dress the importance though of making sure when
something is wrong with your mouth, take care of it
right away because it will only get worse. And so

(09:11):
I had a feeling issue and I was like, listen,
I gotta move around. I'm going to Chicago today. Let
me take care of this. It was literally one day later.
I was like, I gotta make disappointment. And so it's
just a good feeling when you get that taken care of.
So for anybody listening, go to the dentist. Go to
the dentist if you have any problem, If your tooth
is hurting, if your gums are bleeding, if you have

(09:32):
bad breath.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Get your teeth clean every six months.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Make sure you fluss every day because I cannot stand
when I look in somebody's mouth and see crumb, right,
and you see like little crust and white stuff in
between their teeth. It's like, you guys gotta flass daily.
That's how you make sure you don't get cavities.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
And listen, when you're brushing your teeth and it's bleeding,
that's a sign of ginger vitis. So you should really
get that checked out, right, Yeah, please, guys. You know,
we care about a mouth so much.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
You know, some of y'all like if you have a
tooth that's turning brown, that's rotting, maybe you gotta get
that one pulled out or you know, but you don't
know how.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
It smells too. That smells terrible.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
And when that pain is so unbearable and you got
to take like medicine so you can even go to sleep,
because nothing worse than having a bad toothache. That means
you have to go to the dentist. And I just
want to put that out there, but that is about
last night. Now, when we come.

Speaker 5 (10:24):
Back, tell us a secret. Y'all are gonna love this
it's a no judgment zone.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
You know.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
On lip service, we get a lot of secrets told
by the way, check out the episode that's out right now,
Sleazy Worldgo.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
He told us a lot of secrets. Yeah, things that
we even never heard.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
He was like, I've never told anybody this before, but
he told us.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
But he told us, and now you can do the
same thing. Eight hundred fifty one fifty is a number.
Call us up anything you want to tell us. We're
not here to judge you. We just went in here
and have a little key key with you, all right.
Eight hundred two nine two fifty one fifty. Call us
up and tell us a secret.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
This way up the judgment freeze all, tell us a secret.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
It's way up.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
But Angela, yee, I'm here, j J Maguires here, Hey y'all,
Jordy door is here, Jorny, and it.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Is time for it. Tell us a secret.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
That's where people get to stay anonymous, and tell us
a secret where we don't judge them. Are you all
down for that safe space? I feel like we're not
judgmental people.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Never We can't be.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
I know, I can't be too much.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
All right?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Well, Anonymous calor what's your secret?

Speaker 8 (11:23):
Well, this is a dude, the uh. Me and my
girlfriend broke up about a month ago, and I had
been all, you know under this, you know, just being
sad and not wanted to do anything. So my friend
convinced me to go out last week there and I
don't really do club, but anyway, I went to a club.
Immediately when I got there, I met a beautiful old
lady around my age, and you know, she was in
her fifties and she kept ragging on her daughter showing

(11:46):
me as you know, we had good conversation. I ended
up taking her home, well, actually ended up going home
with her that night to her place. Woke up in
the morning with the door busting open and it being
her daughter and her daughter's friend, and oh okay, so
I'm trying to color myself up. And you know they're
actually very close. So the daughters like mama had to
check you out because you know, if he gave my mom,

(12:07):
I got to see what's going on with you. So
she got on my social media, hit me up in
my inbox, and I ended up meeting her with your daughter,
thinking there was going to be a question and answer
session and then turned into a sexual session.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 8 (12:22):
Her girlfriend I was with her said, oh my god,
I can't believe that this, that and the other and
next thing, you know, two days later, which was a Monday,
she hit me up and I ended up having to
six with her girlfriend as well. And now I'm back
with my girlfriend and I don't know whether I'm definitely
not gonna tell her Wow.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
I mean, well, yeah, you were single, you had that
glow about you.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
That part, well, it was you know, I don't know.

Speaker 8 (12:49):
I felt kind of like the man. I feel bad because,
you know, I was going to I was figured that
we were on a break, but then I ended up
having sex with three different women.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
I just knew each other, the mama, the daughter, and
the friend. That's all.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
Yeah, that's been giving each other good.

Speaker 8 (13:09):
One It was all protected. It was all protected.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
What's your Instagram?

Speaker 8 (13:16):
I don't want to say I'm from detroited. Yeah, I'm
from Detroit. We threw up before because I love.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
You opening the building here and I want to.

Speaker 8 (13:27):
Be interested in doing some business with you when you
get your building open. Lady, I want property here in Detroit,
and uh, you know, I'm just yeah, I'm familiar with
the city.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
And running through all the women in the building. Sir, Okay, no, no.

Speaker 8 (13:41):
I don't want to do that any way. Yeah, so
that's the crazy story. It's true.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
That's hilarious. Yeah, don't tell you. Don't tell your girlfriends
her business you were.

Speaker 8 (13:55):
Because you know, uh, we're back together and I think
it's gonna be okay.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
But you know, before we go, I have a question.
So if you found out that she had a little
three in one weekend situation while y'all want to read.

Speaker 8 (14:06):
How would you feel I want to kill somebody you
already know?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Yeah, is safe with us.

Speaker 8 (14:16):
Hey, I'm gonna keep you a secret.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
All right, Well, thank you.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
He was one of those little boys dis guys as
I'm starting to think, but.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
Like now too late, So all right, what up? Though,
I love you, all right, we love you too.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
All right?

Speaker 5 (14:31):
Well that was tell us a secret. He's definitely feeling himself.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
When we come back, we have your yet, and let's
talk about Eve and her new memoir, Who's That Girl.
We have an excerpt about her being a lazy stripper.
All right, Well, we'll talk about it in yet when
we come back. In the meantime, feeling myself, it's way
up at it.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
She's about the OFT's get it. Angela's feeling that yeete,
come and get your tea.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
All right, it's way up at the Angela yee, I'm here,
and gg Maguire's here. Hey, y'all, Jordy. It feels like
lip service. But in the morning, all right, well, let's
get into some et now.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Eve.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
She has her upcoming memoir Who's That Girl, that's coming
out and part of the book on extrapas released ahead
of the September seventeenth date, and she talked about working
at a retail shop and a strip club at seventeen
years old. She said, in my head, I was thinking
I need to be grown now, and it's the quickest
way I can get out of the house.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
But I was so bad at it. I was lazy.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Now, we always hear the story about how she met Mace,
who encouraged her to rap instead. She said, but Mace
became a pastor. I was like, yeah, that makes sense.
He was my profit that day. I needed that extra push.
So Gigi's like, you can't be a lazy stripper.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Well you can.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
And that's the thing. I was never a lazy stripper.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
But the two step in booty clapping girls. They get by,
you know, and make you work for them, right Eve,
you know we went to high school together. Oh wow, Yeah, Okay, Martin,
Luther King and Philly. She used to be in the
lunch room at the tables, rapping with the guys and
you know that whole thing. So I'm not surprised that
she turned out to be this great rapper, but it
says something you could be lazy at either being a rapper.

(16:11):
You gotta really, I mean, she went I guess she
went hard with it, and they say that she said
that she used to be in the club rapping the
guys like I'll give your free lap bands, let me
rap for you, right and still okay, I'm saying I
want to get signed.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
And that worked for her. Mace was like, what are
you doing all right now?

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Angel Reese has her own podcast, Unapologetically Angel. I think
that's great for her because there can be a lot
of misconceptions and it's nice to be able to talk
directly to people and tell your side. So she talked
about a lot of different things, like the rumors about
her and g Herbo.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
That's somebody that I can like if I ever need anything,
in Chicago. He told me from when I got drafted,
if I already anything in Chicago, He'll make sure I'm straight.
And it wasn't even off, no like flirting everything. It
was literally straight off, like I got you sis see.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
And that's the thing people got to understand, just because
there's a guy. That's one of the merst the worst
misconceptions I hate is when you're friends with a guy
and they're y'all seen together, people automately assume that y'all
are having sat immediately, like they don't think that two
guys are having sex because they together all the time.
I mean, I do, but they don't.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
You know what's crazy is that I was talking to
Chella yesterday and we'll be with Chelle in Chicago for
her birthday this weekend. But she was telling me, she said,
so many people ask her the Angela and Mano. I'm like, never,
I've known Mane for so long. That's like, for real,
my best rapper friend. But we just cool and it's
but it's so stupid male friends all right now. She

(17:37):
also talked about the rumors of her and Kat.

Speaker 6 (17:40):
That was never a thing. I don't even know how
that even became a thing because I sat next to somebody.
My friend was sitting next to stuff. Katie has literally
been my favorite player since.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
I was literally a kid.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Y'all both played basketball, Like, what's the problem, all right.
She also talked about Kaitlyn clark fans and now Kaitlyn
Clark being rude to her by her fans being really
mean and racist on social media.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Here's what she said.

Speaker 6 (18:03):
Her fans they were for her, and I respect that respectfully,
but sometimes it's very disrespectful. There's a lot of racism
when it comes to it, and I don't believe she
stands on any of that. But when it comes to
death threats, like I'm talking about, people have come down
to my address, no follow me home, like it's come
down to that. Multiple occasions. People have made ai pictures
of me, like naked, they have sent it to my

(18:24):
family members.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
All right.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
So the two of them have cleared this up several times.
Heara and Kaitlyn Clark have no problem with each other.
Trash talking is a normal part of the tournament. Even
Caitlyn Clark even said Angel we should not be criticized
for that, and the two of them at the top
of the game and rivalry and basketball is a real thing,
as it should be. They said, there is no love.

(18:47):
I mean, there's no hate between the two of them.
They have love for each other. They both love the
game and there's no hate. Yeah, all right, well that
is your Yet when we come back, we have under
the radar. These are the stories that are not necessarily
and the headlines. They're flying under the radar, but you
definitely need to know about him. It's way up at Angela.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yee.

Speaker 7 (19:02):
This in the news that relates to you. These stories
are flying under the radar.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
All right, it's way up at Angela. Yee. I'm here,
Jordi Geory is here. GJ. Maguire's here. Hey, y'all. Oh,
the bag Feld.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Guys are in the building too. A shout out to
our guy s. So he has his cookbook, cooking with
Doc and Ess.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
So I'm gonna try this.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
Oh my god, my mouth is watering. Just'all know that.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
All right, Well, let's get into some of these under
the radar stories now. The Appalachi High School suspect colch
Gray is being charged as an adult and he was
in court today. He's being charged with four counts of
felony murder four and we still have to say allegedly
shooting and killing two teachers and two students at Appalachi
High School on Wednesday. There's another seven students and two

(19:45):
teachers who were injured. And again a motive has not
yet been determined. We don't know if the victims were targeted.
According to investigators, but his aunt is saying that her
nephew was begging for help from everybody around him, and
they believe that he received this ar style gun used
in the shooting as a Christmas present from his father.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
So his father was also arrested.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
His father is Colin Gray and charged with four counts
of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second degree murder, and
eight counts of cruelty to children. He's being accused of
knowingly allowing his son to possess a weapon, and so
he's also in court today. What a tragic story we've
been talking about this forty five school shooting so far
this year. That's insane, all right now. Tim Walls tweeted out,

(20:30):
this is pathetic. We can't quit on our kids. They
deserve better. J. D Vance responded to the deadly shootings.
In Georgia, and here's what he had to say.

Speaker 8 (20:39):
The Kamala Harris answer to this is to take law
abiding American citizens guns away from him.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I don't like this. I don't like to admit this.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
I don't like that this is a.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Fact of life.

Speaker 8 (20:48):
But if you're if you are a psycho and you
want to make headlines, you realize that our schools are
soft targets.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
I don't know that this is the time for him
to be trying to attack. This is supposed to be
a time of making sure that this is something we
should be coming together about, to protecting kids in schools.
There really should be something done about the gun laws
all over America and especially in the South, Like children
aren't giving guns and teaching taught how to shoot at

(21:16):
the age of like twelve, possibly even younger, and to
be given that kind of a gun for a Christmas present.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
His dad, I mean, that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
And Jade Vance also said school shootings are just a
fact of life, unacceptable, unaccepted. They definitely should not be
and it should not be anything that feels normalized. So
I just want to again give our condolences and rest
in peace, because that is.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
So many people affected by this shooting.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
All right, and eighty eight corporate leaders have endorsed Kamala
Harris in a new letter. And these are current and
former top execs from across corporate America. Among the people
who signed are you know, the CEO of Box, of Yelp,
of Snap, also former CEOs of huge companies as well,
like Starbucks philanthropists. It's a three page list that includes

(22:06):
a slate of longtime Democratic political donors. But other people
who have supported Harris in particular since her political campaigns
in California are people like Magic Johnson, also the COO
of Blackstone, a former Tesla board member. A lot of
different people and so many people. Yes, so we're keeping
our eye on everything and making sure that you guys

(22:26):
have real information. All right, Well that is you're under
the radar, you know the way it makes us at
the top of the hour. Plus, we need some more
love today. Yolanda Adams is going to be joining us.
Her album Sunny Days is coming out next week Friday.
But we do have some we do have some previews
for you guys, and we'll be talking to her too.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
It's way up at Angelayee.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
She's like the talk, like they Angela Jean like they
Angela Jean.

Speaker 7 (22:50):
And she's spilling it all. This is yeaky, way.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Up, all right, it's way up at Angela Yee. I'm here, Jordie,
Jerry's here.

Speaker 4 (22:59):

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Maguire's here, Gji crazy.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Shout out to Heide, get an s O and bag
fuel for that. All right, well, let's get right into
it now. Fifty cent was on The Late Show with
Stephen Colbert, and he was discussing a lot of different things,
for instance, whether or not he's really celibate.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
Are you celibate?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Listen, when you calm down, you can focus. It's been good.

Speaker 8 (23:26):
I've been good to me. And then if you like,
go on a date but you have no interest in anything,
you can kind of I can see you now, I said,
goddamn girl, you fine, but you ain't got nothing going on.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Jordy was That's why she looked. She like I was
celibrated for a while. I mean, I think I stard
the trend. If I'm gonna be honest, come on trying.
Lenny Kravitz is coming out celebrate the Fox. I'm like
I've heard that that's what it means when somebody says
I'm coming out. I'm coming out of celibate, coming out
of celibacy, all right now. He also talked about whether
or not he's ever been married, which I never heard
that he was.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
But here's what he said.

Speaker 8 (23:59):
I lived in married.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
I'm safe.

Speaker 8 (24:02):
I'm not a happy hostage.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
I made some mistakes, just not that one. Wow.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
And so he ever gets married, now, people gonna play
that clip back.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
And he also talked about what it's like for him
going overseas and traveling and going to Asia and Kazakhstan
and all these places.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
It's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
They don't know. I'm not Michael Jackson.

Speaker 9 (24:24):
It was so cool, but they chase the car like
I was Michael Jackson.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
I'm gonna tell you something about fifty He can do
a million interviews and every single one of them will
be different, and you'll be able to pull clips to
the man. He dictates the whole flow of the conversation.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
It mights me Snoop in that way. I feel like
they both have that in common.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
And both superstars. All right.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Well, you know, Damon Dash has been talking about fifty
cent after fifty cent commented on how Damon dsh said
that a million dollars that he got for doing his
deal wasn't enoughing and he said, now Dame is broke. Well,
Dame was on live and he was addressing fifty cent
some more and unfortunately he had a mishap and his teeth.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
I guess his dentures came out. Here's what that sounded like.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Yeah, we want to work, We could work. I'm never
mad at General was linking up. Yeah, old talk to him.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
You need some polygrop. Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
But the worst part was how he was like, oh,
hold on and talking for a second. Camera went up
to the ceiling. You know how that goes, and something
like that. Sorry, see now GG had a moment just
like the d just fell out. Oh my goodness. At
any rate, Gg not lip servant, but yes.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
And also I want to say congratulations to Jennifer Hudson.
She made a big announcement that she is coming back
to music. You know, she's been doing her talk show
and I can imagine how busy something like that is,
but she can and not wait to get back to
her roots. She went on Instagram and announced that music
from her is coming very soon. It's been ten years
since her last solo original album, Jay Hudd in twenty fourteen.

(26:11):
So now she said it's major, she's excited, it's a
beautiful day. She's worked her whole life for this, and
she said she's tired, but the anxiety wakes her up
at night. But it's an amazing time. And she's joined
the Enniscope family. So shout out to her for that pation.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Yes, indeed you okay, gg, I'm good, I'm gg crazy.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Crazy.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
All right, well you guys, I'm speaking of big announcements
and albums and all of those things. We have a
big announcement our girl, Jordi Joor, who is here. She's
been guest hosting. She's been guest hosting up here but
also on lip Service. And do you want to make
your official announcement.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Guys, I'm the official co host.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Yes, Yes, I'm Little Service. Yes, second.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
A dynamic trio.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
So it's exciting you are ready to put together decks
and yes, idea and we love that.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
We're celebrating our ten year anniversary of lip Service this
month and what a great way to celebrate with you know,
a little of the show, A new.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
L O L s a new lady Ellipso service. We
love it. So welcome Jordy to have you. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
She's talked about DJ so now when we have parties,
Jordy Door can just DJ that built in. It's all,
it's all full circle, all right, Well, thank you so much,
Jordy Door. We got more with you guys when we
come back. And speaking of putting out new music, we
also are going to be joined later on by Yolanda
Adams who has a new album coming out next week.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
But here's some kit cutting right now, day and night.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
Everybody since, whether it's relationship for career advice, Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
This is as gee.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (27:55):
Its way up at Angela Ye, I'm Angela Yee. And
Jordy Door is here.

Speaker 10 (27:59):
J J.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
Maguire is here, and any question you have we want
to help you out. We have Devon on the line.
What's up Devon?

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (28:05):
How's you going good?

Speaker 2 (28:06):
How you feeling I'm feeling good. I'm good. What's your
question today for us?

Speaker 11 (28:11):
All right? So I've kind of got an issue. I
work at this office and I work with this guy
that's got some really like bad body orders, and I
think I've got to be the person to tell him
about it, but I don't really know how to.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Wow, have you all ever dealt with that?

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Yes, you did, which you don't like to bring deodoran.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Or sometimes people's clothes smelt.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
But I will say this, I worked with the person
one time who smelled really bad and he was like
he was bigger, and I think it was his clothes.
Come to find out, he was really staying at I mean,
I can't say the studio, but it was a studio.
It was a long time ago, and I think he
didn't really have a place to go. So just being

(28:51):
conscious of not knowing what people's situations is, but also
being sensitive to the fact that I'm telling you this
to help you is the best way to go, you know.
Not getting I would be like, look, not getting too
much into your business. I don't know what's happening, but
I do want to say that for your own good,
like you're not smelling that good. What can we do
to help rectify that situation? I don't know, if you

(29:14):
know it's a shower situation that it might need to Yeah,
it could be a close.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Is there something that you need some help with?

Speaker 5 (29:21):
You know, let's figure this out because I just want
to make sure you're bringing your best you in here
every single day.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah. Yeah, I think telling the person shows that you
actually care.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
Yeah, and and to the side, not in front of anyone. Yeah, Like,
don't make it embarrassing, but I think you should, you know,
like really let them know that. Like, I'm only telling
you this because I really care for you, and.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
They may not know.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Yeah, because you get immune to your own smell. Is
that going to the zoo.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
After a while, you get your animals and all around
it a lot, you get immune to it. So maybe
he doesn't even notice that he has to smell, right.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
So definitely tell him, let him know in a gentle
way with nobody else around, and letting him know it's
because I care.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Yeah, agree, perfect, Thank you, all right, thank you for calling.
Good luck?

Speaker 3 (30:08):
All right, Well that was ask yee see. We can
handle sensitive topics as well. Eight hundred and two nine
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
can leave a message and will answer your question that
way and when we come back. Yolanda Adams is here.
She has a new album coming out next week. This
is her first album in thirteen years. It's called Sunny Days.
But in the meantime we're going to talk to her
about her new single, Church Days and everything else she.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Has going on.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
She's on tour, she's an actor, she's got her own
jewelry line, she got all the things.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
It's way up up you vib.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
It, way up with Angela yee more.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Now what's up? It's way up with Angela yee man.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
I love when we have the definition of way up
here in the building with us, we have Yolanda Adams.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Such a pleasure to have you.

Speaker 10 (30:50):
Thank you so much for having me, and congratulations on
all your success. You know I followed you for a
long time.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Well, thank you. This is way up.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Congratulations to you. You have so many things happening at
one time right now. And back to the music where
you know, putting out a new album that must feel
so exciting for you.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Sunny Days.

Speaker 10 (31:09):
Yes, I love the fact that this is like a
how like a six year journey because we started before
the pandemic and everything.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Jimmy jam and.

Speaker 10 (31:20):
Terry Lewis and I we write a lot Tageler and
so we started the day after the Grammys in twenty eighteen,
and then I got busy started doing a lot of
overseas travel. They got busy working with Babyface, and then
of course the pandemic happened, right, and that stopped a lot,
and then Kingdom Business started and let's talk about that,

(31:42):
and it's sad, and so finally I got a break
and it was like, okay, good, let's finish the album.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
And I'm just so glad that we're here today talking
about it.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Right now, I'm talking to the legend Yolanda Adams. I
love the song Sunny Days too, said title track. Yes,
it gives you such a great like just to feel
like sunny days ahead.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
And that's interesting because even now look now we got
to talk about Kingdom Business.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Yes, where she judges everything exactly.

Speaker 10 (32:12):
And that was the evil laughing Yes, absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
How was it for you getting into character for a
role like that, because it doesn't feel anything like so
connected to who we look at Yolanda Adams as well, I.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Am so glad that you have that.

Speaker 10 (32:27):
Like what listen, folks all in my d MS. I
can't support you anymore because you cussed. I'm like, it's
a role in the script, call for one cuss word.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
It's as fun go to.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
Him go to Kirk Franklin and it's the cuss word
that's in the buy.

Speaker 10 (32:44):
Okay, So it's not like I said, it's something, you know.
I didn't call nobody a b or anything like that.
But I love this role because she's a meaty, confused,
conflicted person growing up in the church. And I know
a lot of your listeners know there are several different
kind of people that you meet that come in and
out of the church, and there's she's like a combination

(33:08):
of some people that I knew group growing up in
the church. And of course it's fantasy and it's a
little drama in there, but yeah, she's a mess, and
the more we peel the layers from her, we find
out what her mother did, what her father did, what
everyone around her did to make her such an ice

(33:28):
cold person. And we're very, very different because I don't
believe that I have the right to crush somebody's dreams
or to stop them from living their purpose.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
And so yeah, we're really different from the.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Goodness.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Besides that, the reunion, I don't know how I mean,
but it's amazing. So that has to be a good
time though, because you got like quite the lineup of
gospel artists on tour.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
I mean Franklin, I'm frankm and Marvin.

Speaker 10 (34:02):
Sap, Carvin Sap, The Clarks Clark Sierra is opening up.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
It's like, oh my.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
God, Ylanda Adams is here. She's got a new album
coming out next week. It's called Sunny Days, and we
have more with her when we come back. It's way
up at Angela yee.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
It's way up with Angela Yee. Let's go. You are
a media maven, right, well, you never know what Angie's
gonna say.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
What's up is way up at Angela yee. I'm here
and so is the Alanda Adams. So next week your
new project, Sunny Days comes out, and you said you've
been working on this for sixty years, so how did
it evolve from when you first started to uh, where
we are today with it ready to come out.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
I am glad that it took a six year journey.

Speaker 10 (34:43):
Sometimes we can do something so quick and we feel like, oh,
that's that was good, but there's no real life experience
happening in there. So between twenty eighteen and twenty twenty four,
we've had a lot of stuff, a lot, But then
isn't that just like life. Yeah, everyone who listens to

(35:06):
this project can feel I'm not by myself.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
Right.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Earlier, I was in the room before you got here.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
We were talking about it about you know, all of
the records that you've sold, and all of the accolades
that you've gotten, you know, being like the gospel artists.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Of the decade, all of those things.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
That's not something that people accomplish a lot in gospel music.

Speaker 10 (35:27):
It still blows my mind.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
And so yeah, I want to ask you about it.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
How do you feel about all of these accomplishments, because
sometimes you have to sit down and be like I
did that, I did.

Speaker 10 (35:37):
A thing, and I think for me it's like they're
like ten records, who are you talking about? And then
oh yeah for any genre, and it's like first you
feel gratitude again, but then you feel responsibility. How do
I continue this? Not trying? Not that you know, of
course I want Sunny Days to sell another five to

(35:59):
ten million, but the responsibility to keep giving great music,
because you can't sell that many records without touching the
hearts of people. If I sell a million copies, fine,
but if I touch a million people, if I touch
ten million people, that's more than enough.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
Well, listen, I appreciate you so much, and congratulations for everything.

Speaker 10 (36:21):
And thank you again for sharing your platform. I love
what you're doing. I love how you're opening the door
for young women to understand that there's more than enough
room right everywhere for everybody.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
And listen, whatever I could do, I always want to
help when there's people that are like new artists, up
and coming women, I'm always like, I know how hard
it is yes to be a woman and to be
in this business, and so if there's anything I can
do to help other people, I'm definitely the person that
is glad to be in this position for that very purpose.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
And that's why you're in physic Thank you.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Yeah, I don't know how what a blessing this is
for me to have you up here, So thank you
so much.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
I really appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Like I said, I've been following you for a long time.

Speaker 5 (37:01):
We've been following you for a long so proud of everything.
I feel like there's a light shining on me right Absolutely,
it was shining on you when I walked through the room.

Speaker 10 (37:08):
You know, it is all you have to do is
just show up and be you. That's the beauty of
everything you know.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
