Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yee.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
But you all been waiting.

Speaker 3 (00:03):
Oh you're tapped in the way up with Angela Yee Yo.

Speaker 4 (00:07):
Happy Wednesday's way up with Angela Yee and my girl
Tella h his hair.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Up? What up?

Speaker 4 (00:15):
Navy is back from Bracil. You were gone on a trip,
so welcome back. Art was really handling things while you
were gone. Just putting that out there, shout out to Art.
But yes, we're going to get this show started, of
course with some love and some positivity. So also a
wealth Wednesday. So my girl Nicole Harmon is going to
be joining us. She is the master connector on social media.

(00:36):
She actually worked on Wall Street for twenty one years
and now has stepped out and started her own business
where she really connects different people with each other, helps
people with branding and all of that.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
You know, it's just important to be in the room.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
And I will be in the room in Atlanta, okay
for her event November six. But let's start the show
with some love and some positivity. I want to shine
a light today. I'm going to shine a light on
somebody who was one of the first two black women
to be inducted into the Inventor's Hall of fame, and
of course you get to shine a light on somebody
when we come back. Eight hundred two nine to fifty
one fifty call us up. Let us know who you

(01:10):
want to shine a light on his way out.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
A turn your lights on, y'all spreading love to those
who are doing greatness.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Hina, light on the shine a light on.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's time to shine a light on.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah, it's what yea by Angela gie my girl Tella
h is here. That's right from Chicago. I was just
out there for your birthday today. We want to shine
a light on. A black woman inventor. She is one
of the first two black women to be inducted into
the Inventors Hall of Fame.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Her name is Marion Crop.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
She has two hundred patents to her name, including the
technology behind Zoom. Her innovations in internet technology have enabled
her have enabled remote work, so when you work from home,
it's because of her technology. Also text donations, you know
how you have to like scan the QR code and
text the donation. I'm also voting for American Idol things
like that. So it's what she's done, that work she's

(02:04):
done that's made that even possible. Right now, she's vice
president of Engineering at Google and leads the Research Center
for Responsible AI and Human Centered Technology. But when she
was only five or six years old, she was enchanted
with electricians and plumbers, and then she would follow them
around see how things were done, and that fascination with
engineering grew over the years. So shout out to her.

(02:26):
She's one of again the first two black women to
receive that honor and called us right, girl, I know
all those ideas you had is a difference between who's
doing it and who's just thinking about it.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Yeah, that's why you got a start young with that.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
You can all right now, Kelsey, who do you want
to shine a light on?

Speaker 6 (02:41):
I want to sign a light on myself. So I'm thirty,
returning to nursing school and I passed pharmacology, one of
the hardest classes in nursing school, and I passed it
on the first side.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yes, Kelsey, come on.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
I'm very proud of myself. I went through a lot
that quarter, but I just cut my head down, I focused,
and I passed. And I actually pushed off going to
nursing school because I thought that I wasn't good enough
or smart enough to be able to get to that
point or get to that class, and I did it.
So I'm very proud of myself.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I am so proud of you passed on the first
try pharmacology. That's a huge deal and a huge weightlifted.
You're gonna be amazing.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yay, thank you, Kelsey.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
All Right, you take care of Thank you you too.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
All Right?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Well that was shining light eight hundred and two ninet
two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through, you
could shine a light for last word. And when we
come back me and tell I got ya yet, We're
gonna talk about Finesse two times. He has been having
a tough few months, and we'll tell you about the latest.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
All right. His way up, they says in the rooms.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
From industry shade.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
To all of gossip out send Angela's feeling that eat all.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Right, his way up at Angela.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Yee, I'm here with my girl teller Ah, yes, right,
shall all right, let's get into some euta you ready?

Speaker 7 (03:58):
All right?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
All right? Ellen.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
I was recently on CBS Mornings with Maurice du Why
loved Maurice, and he was talking about his memoir misunderstood,
and one of the things that he discussed was the
best thing that he's done for himself. Here's what he said,
one of my best decisions that I ever made in
my life was to stop drinking.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
What was that six months? Now?

Speaker 8 (04:21):
How you feeling better than I did when I was
doing it.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
He also said it made people around him happier, including
his wife as well.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Tijuana. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I also saw he was on with stephen A. Smith,
and Stephen A. Smith asked him, you know, now that
you have fifty, you should wear over fifty, you should
wear more suits. But he was definitely in there comfortably
in his you know, camo outfit with his hoodie.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I don't think he needs to wear more suits.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
I actually feel like he made a great statement, you know,
as far as wearing what he wants to wear, so
I would. I don't think he needs to do that.
He's proven himself. He's comfortable.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
It's all that matters.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It's all about him and what he.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Wanted to do now.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Marcus Jordan also celebrated his milestone. He revealed on Monday
that it was a six month anniversary anniversary of his sobriety.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
So you know, he's gone through it.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
He posted on Instagram six months sober and still the
life of the party. So you could see him chilling
with his friends, obviously with his dad, Michael Jordan, and
he did get sober after he had that running with
the police that I'm sure was pretty embarrassing for him.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, and for that to go viral all right.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Now, Finesse two times is battling for custody of his
daughter following the death of her mom, which is awful
for that young child to have to go through and
the family. So he went on social media to discuss
what he has going on.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Condos is to my baby mom was on good terms. No,
have we been on good terms since my daughter. No,
I'm na my daughter through pivot.

Speaker 8 (05:57):
My daughter didn't come from a successful.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
I don't know if we needed to, you know, know
all of that, right, but he has.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Been going through a lot. I'm gonna I'm gonna give
that to him. I said this. There was a video
of him after people were telling.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
Him he needed to check in that that was a
lot going on with him as car got took in Chicago,
all kinds of stuff because he's been off the heavy lately.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Oh yeah, he's been in Chicago for show.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
In addition to that, you know, he hasn't been on
good terms with his mother. We saw them arguing and
what she had to say about him after she said
he cut her off financially, left her homeless because she
left her job to go work for him. You know,
it just feels like he's got so many things happening,
and so I know mentally it could be exhausted. It
can be exhausting. So I'm hoping that he figured it

(06:46):
all out because he is a dad. He does have
kids who are relying on him. All right, well that
is your Yet when we come back, we have about
last night where we discussed what we did last night.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
I actually was at my coffee shop yesterday.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
It was and I said it was National Taco Day too,
just in case anybody didn't have a chance to have
their taco Tuesday. We can still celebrate today. All right,
about last night, it's next, It's way up.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
Yeah, it's way up, but Angela, yeah, I'm here at
my girl cello not the lower case, and it's time
for about last night. Now, Cheller, what were you up
to yesterday? I know you came in from Chicago last
night late too on my.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Dad, I did. I had so much going on.

Speaker 7 (07:30):
I was at my store, it's a bad fashion house,
getting ready in I was trying to like pack you
all this stuff, all these wonderful gifts.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Oh yeah, you do, always been gifts.

Speaker 7 (07:40):
Yeah, And I guess what, I didn't even get the
rank of all because I left one of the bags
of my friend car.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
You always forget something, and you know you're from Chicago
when you say car, I just.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Want to say that it's the car.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Well, yesterday I was at my coffee shop for a
little while, but then I got locked out of my house.
I didn't have my keys, so my brother had to
come and drive over and bringing my keys to let
me in the house.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So yeah, you missed that part.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
I was just kind of standing outside for about like
thirty minutes, Thank you, Brian. But then I also when
I got in the house, I'm reading because I'm actually
going to be with Isa Ray later today in conversation
about her book I should be smart, I should be
smarter by now that's her book tour, so I'll be
in Philly at the Filmore today and so quite entertaining

(08:25):
like to read her story and how she started versus
where she is now. But we'll talk about that more.
I'm sure tomorrow for about last night, because you know
we're going to go have this conversation. I'm excited though,
because I'm a big fan of Asa Ray and I
actually read her first book that she put in. I
remember having a conversation with her where she said she
felt like she put that book out too early, And

(08:47):
I always feel like that's a thing, right because you
change your view so much on things in retrospect when
you look back at like what happened in your life,
and so I think there's some things that she would
have changed. But her first book was called The Misadventure
of Awkward Black Girl, based off of the YouTube series
that she had. Also, Yeah, so this is gonna be cool.
But anyway, you know what's coming up next. I want

(09:08):
to write a book about y'all. Okay, maybe we need
to tell us a secret book. Yeah, eight hundred two
nine two fifty one fifty. You know it's time for
you guys to call in and tell it. I feel
like we actually during the pandemic went live and you
told some secrets. We had some confessions you know, I
always got a lot of secrets during that time, and
you've had some stories if you listen to her on

(09:28):
lip service. But she's not anonymous, you are, so don't
be ashamed to call up and tell us anything.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
This is a no judgment zone. That's right.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
That's eight hundred nine two fifty one fifty. Any secret
that you have, we're here to listen to it. You
may go viral, you may end up in a book.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. Call us up,
tell us a secret.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Way This is a judgment free zone. Tell us a.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Secret, tell us a secret. It's way up with Angela. Ye,
I'm here with my girl Tella h that's right. Every
time Teller called me, I know she about to tell
me so been crazy, but she's like, yo, gee, I
gotta tell you something.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
You got a minute? Right? Who you?

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Who?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
You WI? All right?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Well, anyway, we want to hear your secrets. Eight hundred
two nine to fifty one fifty to no judgment zone. Anonymous,
color with your secret.

Speaker 8 (10:12):
So I was with my excep Affilia. I moved to
Philly and I stayed with her, but you were seeing
me back. So her little sister was like, well you
can stay with me and ween and she said that
she's pregnant by me, but she was gonna trull. Someone
knows that it was their baby, but no one still know.
That was like at least fifteen years ago.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
So you have a kid, yes, possibly don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Do you have you seen a child blackama?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (10:38):
Seeing her she's got in my eyes, but I don't love.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
What if she do a test now that the kid
later on and then comes to find you. Are you
gonna be honest?

Speaker 1 (10:45):
I'm gonna have to be. I'm married now.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Oh you never said you never told your wife or nothing?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
No, I mean it was before her, right, yeah, it
was way before her.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Still the other situations.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Yeah, how do you feel knowing that she's at the
she is now and you ain't doing nothing in her life?

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Or you just putting it on the mama? I mean
the mom.

Speaker 8 (11:05):
Put on a mother cat. So I was like, my
baby for real?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Or is it her right? Have you ever felt like
you wanted to know?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Of course, of.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
Course, And she was trying to hit me up or whatever.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
She was trying to hit me up for coming up
another king.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
She ain't even worried about that.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
That's wow. That says a lot about her caress. He's ruthless.

Speaker 8 (11:24):
Yeah sure, all right, well that.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Was quite a secret. Thank you for sharing. Don't get
your baby shut up, get your teenager hanging out in
his color? What's goody high?

Speaker 9 (11:37):
So I was dating this guy for about a year
and a half and then he just started being weird
and going through my phone and stuff.

Speaker 10 (11:46):
So just because he was doing it to me, I did.

Speaker 11 (11:48):
It to him.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
And I found out that he.

Speaker 9 (11:50):
Was having sex with guys from backstage.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (11:54):
Well when I pressed him about it, you want crazy.

Speaker 6 (11:59):
Thing, he's gonna do all this stuff of himself.

Speaker 9 (12:00):
But then told me, like he doesn't want me to
leave him, So we kind of just worked it out that.

Speaker 10 (12:06):
He would help pay for for me like my car payment, marr.

Speaker 11 (12:10):
And my school and stuff.

Speaker 9 (12:12):
And we just kept that going for like four years old.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
So you like extorted him.

Speaker 9 (12:16):
I mean, but he wanted to, but he like set
off of me, like he would want me to buy
him help him buy his clothes because he got much
like he has a career, but he didn't know what
to do with himself basically, and he was like hiding
who he was he was the old witness, looked a lot,
made him look good, helped me out.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Did y'all continue to sleep together or you just were
like kind of friends after that?

Speaker 10 (12:42):
We were just friends after that we did anything like
we hug and maybe cares nowhere around for me, but
it was.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Just a front. Listen, I'm not mad at that arrangement.
I ain't got to. It's like she assaulting and then
you're just paying me.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Yep, I'm not.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
Yo.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Man. Calle got out it and he is going with
it full force.

Speaker 11 (13:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (13:04):
I wish he would still be, but he's not here.

Speaker 9 (13:06):
Has to have a girl now that he does that
with Oh damn.

Speaker 7 (13:08):
Okay, so now you ain't getting your coins.

Speaker 9 (13:11):
No, bro, I thought somebody else.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Okay. I love that where everybody's happy. All right, Well,
thank you for calling. All right?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Well that was tell us a secret eight hundred two
ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't get through,
you could leave a message and tell us a secret
that way, and when we come back, we got your
ye t Eric Bellinger was on a hilarious episode of
lip Service that's out right now, and one thing that
he talked about was business as a matter of fact,
he has signed AI artists and we'll.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Let you hear what he had to say about it.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
It's way sure she's about to blow the lead ab
off this, but let's get it. Oh yeah, angelus building
that yee te come and get the tea.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Yeah it's whay ya put the angela ye tell h
that's right in the building. All right, let's get into
some of these yet stories. First and foremost, Eric Bellinger
is on lip Service. That episode just came out. You know,
he is a very well known songwriter but also an artist,
and he also is just a fun person to hang
out with. One thing that he talked about is signing

(14:10):
AI artists to his label. Now, I do also want
to point out that last year he personally did a
deal with a Hooky. It's a company, a platform that
uses AI voice models to let other creators make music
using the voices of established artists. So he lent his
voice to this platform. So imagine you can just like
use Eric Belling's voice to make music. And so this

(14:33):
is something he's been on for a minute. Here's what
he had to say.

Speaker 12 (14:36):
I got two AR artists signed on my label and
to other artists out there, step your game up.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
If you don't move with the times, get left behind.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
And that's what people have been saying, right like, you
can not like it, you can have an issue with it.
And you know, we see right now in Hollywood they're
saying you cannot use AI to emulate actors and things
like that. I do think there's going to be restrictions.
But if you don't know what you're doing, not on board,
you're gonna get left behind all right now. He also,

(15:04):
interestingly enough, addressed this. So I was walking to go
do lip service and I got stopped on the street
by a woman. She was like, oh, I'm a big fan.
I do a podcast too, you know who? And I
told her I was going to do mine. She said,
who are you going to interview? And I said, Eric Bellinger. Well,
she said, you know he'd be performing barefoot. She said,
I bet you didn't know that, right, And I was like,
I have never seen him perform barefoot. I saw him

(15:25):
do tiny desk. Also, Usher definitely has shoes on. Every
time I've seen I've seen him perform in person had
shoes on. So I brought it up to him while
we were having a conversation here's what happened. Do you
know they'd be having your feet online popular?

Speaker 2 (15:42):
So I got saw.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
Rent do yes and so, and I was searching that
because I was like, I don't know this to be true.
I did find out that he does have a Wiki
feet and they do post pictures at his feet all
over this Wiki feet page period. I name me one
right and you know, throughout the episode, and it's pretty funny.
He uses to wear feet a lot like that was
an amazing feat to pull up, but you know, it's flattering.
And then I saw he's been posting pictures with his

(16:18):
feet out a lot on his Instagram page if you
check it out all right now, Ray Vaughan from TDE,
you know he went at Joey Badass, that two of
them had a back and forth and it felt, you know,
it was just a music thing, though I do want
to put that out there. But he did talk to
off the record on Revolte and he had some things
to say about advice that he got during that time

(16:38):
because he was speaking to Kendrick. This was in the
midst of Kendrick's beef that he had going on and
the responsibility that he has as an artist. Signed to
a label. He can't just drop a disc track. Here's
what he said, because.

Speaker 12 (16:49):
My last response is I had like loaded up Kendrick
like is cooked. Too many jumping in then Now it
looks like he's fighting the whole West Coast and you're
gonna be cooked regardless because he gonna it's gonna look
that way because any man that's standing on his own
against twenty different people, he's superman.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
So you're cooking.

Speaker 13 (17:07):
How'd you feel about everyone just jumping in me off?

Speaker 8 (17:12):
You know?

Speaker 4 (17:13):
And I do want to say clearly, Kendrick Lamar is
the best at giving advice on what to do in
the midst of a battle, a hip hop MC battle,
So take that advice. But he did say being signed
to a label, it's not like he could just put
the track out. He's got other people to think about.
You know, if you say this now, they're gona come
at the whole label.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Now.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
How that's this? It's like a game of chess, all right.
When we come back, we have under the radar. These
are the stories that are not necessarily and the headlines.
They're flying under the radar, but you definitely need to
know about them. You know, it is prime Day. You
know that's a big deal. But I also want to
talk about something going on on Twitch for the first
time ever. All Right, I want to see what you
think about it. It's way up this in the.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
News that relates to you. These stories are flying under
the radar.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
All right, it's way you put it into the Yeah,
I'm here with my girl Tella. Go and let's get
into these under the radar stories. So it's October Prime Day.
So there's deep discounts on everything from soundbars to espresso machines,
ring cameras, fire TV sticks.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Just letting y'all know.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
Yes, if you need to get something on Amazon, now
is the time to do it. Okay, all right, now
moving on. This was wild to me now seeing you
know a lot of people on Twitch and this is
a first yes, because while there are all these users,
all these streamers, for the first time ever, Twitch streamer
Fandy has given birth to her baby live streaming. Can

(18:37):
you imagine doing something like that. Here's what it sounded like.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
No, keep pushing, keep pushing. Whush.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
No.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Well, now she's thirty years old. She's best known for
streaming about World of Warcraft. She's been doing that for
ten years. And this is her first child. The CEO
of which Dan Clancy even came in and wrote a
message during the stream, Fanny, best of luck and congratulations,
wishing you the best in this journey. Now, some people
would really split on how they felt about something like

(19:10):
this happening.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
Some people felt like this is too far. Well, that's
a personal decision. I like our her Homegirls was on
the side, just chilling like it was a regular.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
It was a yeah. It was definitely like, you know.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
It is what it is.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Top that Kai Sinatt. That's all I can say. How
can he top that? But yes, And so I know
a lot of people going to their child's name is Luna.
Shout out to the baby Luna that was now born
on Twitch. Later on in life, baby Luna will be
able to look back at this and be like, that's
me on Twitch. I had tens of thousands of people
watching me come into this world. All right, But we

(19:45):
do have the way it mixed for you guys. At
the top of the hour plus for this Wealth Wednesday,
we have Nicole Well, her name was Nicole Harmon, but
now she's Nicole Point de Jour. She's married and changed
her last name. She worked on Wall Street for twenty
one years. She he has a book out right now
about being a master connector building impactful relationships for life

(20:06):
and business success. And we're going to talk to her
about how she connects people and how you need to
just be in the room.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
It's way up.

Speaker 14 (20:14):
She's like to talk like the Angel Jean, like they
Angela jee man.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
She's spilling it all this is yet, Well.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
All right, it's way up with Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
I'm here, My girl Chella is here, and let's get
into some of these ut stories. So, uh, this potential
presidential pardon could be happening for Diddy. We told you
how Donald Trump is saying that, yes, there is still
potential for that to go down. Well, they said, you know,
they are trying to still have the conversation ongoing. A

(20:47):
source close to events said, the idea is not dead yet.
It's not happening yet. It's still under discussion period. Listen,
this is something that's been under discussion, I feel like
since you know, months ago, when this first case first started.
In the meantime, though, did he after getting sentenced to
fifty months in prison in order to pay a five
hundred thousand dollars. Fine, He's got almost seventy lawsuits following

(21:13):
his sentencing, so there are still people who are coming
at him. More than sixty civil sexual abuse lawsuits have
been filed against him, and obviously most of these people
are represented by Tony Busby, as you know. Yeah, So
aside from all this, I know these legal fees are crazy.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
All right.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Now, Dione Sanders in the meantime, has to have further
blood clot surgery, and now there is footage online of
Caruch just really helping him out as he's getting ready
to prepare for that. And here is initially what he
had to say about his blood clot surgery and a
speedy return.

Speaker 8 (21:50):
Can't tay the bag, right, I think I got more bloodhuts, man,
it don't make sense.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
I'm hurting like crazy, not getting blood to my leg.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
That's where my leg is dropping.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
No, he's been going through it.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
She's sticking a side.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
I know there was and I feel like initially she
said that, well nope, she didn't really say if she
was or she wasn't. But it's a conversation. They've been
ducking and a lot of people have been weighing in
because she did do a show with his ex wife previously.
All right, now, Kamala Harris has been going on her
book tour. Her book is called One hundred and seven Days,

(22:26):
and she had some things to say.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
You know.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
It was the Day of Unreasonable Conversation Summit in LA
and she talked about Donald Trump and his administration.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Here's what she said. History is going to write about this.

Speaker 8 (22:41):
Yeah, and it is important to.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Me that that be told with mine.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Present, because there's so much about this moment that is
trying to make people feel like they've lost their mind.

Speaker 12 (22:53):
Easy that.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
Yeah, these m efforts, she said, are crazy, and people
went crazy when she said that. Now, of course, a
White House spokesperson responded. They told TMD Kamala Harris should
listen to an audio recording of her cackle of a
laugh before calling anyone crazy. Wow, what a silly response.
They yeah, very unintelligent. But anyway, aside from all of that,

(23:19):
for all of you fans of Real Housewives of Atlanta,
Shamiyah has been posting on social media. She posted, never
refriend or refamily anyone back into your life if they've
tried to ruin your character, finances, or relationships. A snake
may shed its skin, but it's still a snake always. Yeah,
if somebody people fall out, people have disagreements, but if

(23:40):
they go hard like that, I don't see how you
could ever trust them again. And along those notes, you
see what's going on with Sweety and her ex friend
slash road manager May back May. She went on social
media and basically said, you know that she was the
person that was setting up all these trips for Sweety.
She said, I see you playing internet games on Beyonce

(24:02):
Internet child. Let me know how you want to play this.
I'm either going to receive my money from you or
I can start addressing some of them rumors with TMZ.
We spent almost a month in Africa. You should know
I wasn't gonna let you play me out some money.
When and then she put a little emoji, I guess
letting people know that she's got some dirt on sweetie.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Imagine having somebody around you that would do that.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
Yeah, all right, well that is your yet when we
come back, ask ye any question you have, We're here
to help you out. Eight hundred two ninety two fifty
one fifty. It could be about friendships. We just talked
about that. It could be relationships. It could be whatever
family eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. It
could be about work. It's way up.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Gay everybody since, whether it's relationship or career advice.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Angela's dropping facts. You should know. This is ask Kee
what's up?

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Its way up with Angela. Yee, I'm here with my
girl Chella. Eh. That's right, And we got Shae on
the line for ask Ye what's up?

Speaker 11 (24:56):
Shaye?

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Okay, Harry you I'm good. I'm from Detroit.

Speaker 14 (25:02):
I will listen to you all the times.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
All right, thank you, We love it there. I'm gonna
be in Detroit.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Next week and the week after that. You know what
I'm saying, So you'll see me a lot. But what's
your question today?

Speaker 14 (25:14):
So my question is, as a young entrepreneur that's starting
to build my businesses, I'm trying to figure out what
will be the best way to get out there in
network to just be able to show visability for my business.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Oh okay, well, a couple of things.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
You know, Detroit, you having like all of the events
and meetups for entrepreneurs. As a matter of fact, just
so you know, on the twenty fifth, I'm hosting, uh
this Detroit Business Symposium at the Icon, and that's where
you can connect with other entrepreneurs, business owners and things
like that. I feel like there's a lot of opportunities
there for that, you know, So I hope you come through.

Speaker 14 (25:52):
Yes, most definitely. I just started making my own like
journals and after making cards like miss a Hope or
like families and kids and whatnot, and I'm just like,
how do I get.

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Like people take advantage of social media and nowadays AIS
help them with a lot of stuff.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
So right, yeah, with helping you do your posts and
things like that.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
But I think it's just important for you to be
out there networking, to be honest, it's so much going on.
I mean, look detorit is the only place where they
have all of your sporting arenas, like in one place
downtown that you could walk to.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
So even being outside, yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
When when things are really busy, when there's a game
going on, you know, make sure that you're outside taking
advantage of that, just talking to people. If you have
something that you could hand somebody giveaway. Also make sure
you have things that people can also, just like with
a QR cold because a lot of times people don't
want to hold things.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
There's also a lot of grant.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
Opportunities that are available, so make sure you start applying
for things like that to get you in the room,
you know, with some of these people and they can
connect you with other entrepreneurs. Make sure you stay in
the mix, like follow all of the pages that kind
of put you up on these events and opportunities, and
then make sure you go outside being.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
That you do this.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
There's like a lot of stores and places that are opening,
There's a lot of hotels, there's a lot of conventions.
Like make sure that you go to those things and
see how you can connect and even come up with
ideas that you can pitch so that people don't have
to think too hard, like, well, how can this benefit me?

Speaker 14 (27:22):
Okay, so I would it be possible for me to
be able to like send you some of my works
just to be kind of like give my advice and everything.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Today, Yeah, today is a great day for you to
be listening to because Nicole Point is yours going to
be joining us, and she is the master connector. She
has her own agency, and so you'll be able to
hear from her about some of these relationships and how
you can really just groom those relationships and maintain them
and use them to your advantage.

Speaker 14 (27:52):
Okay, thank you so much, Angela.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
I appreciate you and congratulations.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
Congrat All right, Well that was ask ye eight hundred
and two ninety two fifty one fifty. If you couldn't
get through, you could leave a message and reach us
that way. And when we come back, Like I said,
it is a Wealth Wednesday and the co Point djor
is joining us. She's a founder and CEO of the
Master Connector Agency, a former Wall Street executive.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
She's going to tell you how you can be in
the room. It's way up.

Speaker 12 (28:19):
Had a dream of wealthy and I don't mind sharing
my wealth dog getting.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
You straight financially, mentally and physically. This is Wealth Wednesday
on way up with Angela.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Ye, what's up? Is way up with Angela? Yee? Happy
Wealth Wednesday. Yes back again.

Speaker 5 (28:33):
You're back again. Flex is my second home. Yeah, Nicole
point yes, Ash, she said it right, y'all.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
You had it well. The first time we had you
on here was early on in your business.

Speaker 9 (28:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
You know you are the master Connector.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
That's the way you've been able to link people together,
link corporations and branding opportunities with people. That's definitely a
skill that I think that you've always had, thank you,
you know, from when I first met you. And this
can be something that also is a business.

Speaker 13 (28:59):
It's a business, yes, So literally I connect people, charge
a feed for connections. But I also have an event
called in the Room where I bring corporate executives, industry
leaders together all in one room to help them get
access people that they know me wouldn't come across on
a daily basis, and I interview a celebrity that has
made it to do their career projector tell us their
career trajectory. So you're my next guest, yes, November six,

(29:20):
But just to get people access to understand what it
takes to grow a business, right, how did you start
from point A all the way to point Z and
be successful at it?

Speaker 4 (29:27):
Right now, I'm talking to Nicole point du Jour for
Wealth Wednesday. We're discussing her agency, the Master Connector. So
another really important piece of this is being in the
room with other people and making those connections. I was
at an event over the weekend and somebody asked me,
there's people in the room, but like, how do we
make this something that we can quantify. And this was
like a younger person who wants to be a media

(29:50):
and is just getting started. How would you answer somebody
that said, Okay, you know I'm here, I'm in this room,
but how do I turn this into more?

Speaker 13 (29:57):
Yes, that's a great question. So people ask me all
the time, how did you buidge a network?

Speaker 5 (30:01):
How do you know? So many people? I tell them
leave a value.

Speaker 13 (30:03):
So if you're in this room and you're meeting somebody,
try to figure out how you can help that person
before you come with an ass because ninety percent of
people come and ask well for things. When you're in
that room, you quantify by one figuring out how you
can leave a value to them, what you can help
the other person with. Following up and that is so
important when we go to these different events. We get
all these business cars and they left in our purse,

(30:24):
around in our pockets, or we put them in the
chests like we don't do anything with them. Follow up
within twenty four to forty eight hours seventy two at
max and just say it was a pleasure meeting you
at the Master Connection Agency event. I would love to
connect with you this week over coffee zoom in person.
Always tell people to do lunch because it's something about
breaking bread and breaking barriers.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
Which I talk about.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
Yeah, that's in the book.

Speaker 13 (30:43):
People let their hair down with over a meal, right,
and you get to learn more about them. But scheduling
that follow up within twenty four to seventy two at
the max to continue the conversation is important. Also, also,
do good business. Just as good as good news travels fast,
bad news travels fast. So if you get that opportunity,
make sure you show up on time, make sure you
execut you with excellence. Right, let them know what you
can and can't do, because if you do a good job,

(31:03):
they're gonna say, oh, like you pugg out of time,
that's my home going to call like she does X,
Y and z. Oh you know this person, Yeah, exactly,
because I do good business?

Speaker 5 (31:11):
How do I not do good business? You would be like,
I'm not right.

Speaker 13 (31:13):
And so I think that's important when you get the
opportunity to make sure that you have all your ducks
in a row to execute whatever the task is that
they give you.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
All Right, it a Wealth Wednesday, and it's all about
networking and connections and being in the right room. We
have Nicole Point Djore, a former Wall Street executive twenty
one years who now has her own agency, the Master Connector.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
We have more when we come back.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
It's way up financially, mentally, and physically. This is Wealth
Wednesday on Way Up with Angela Yee?

Speaker 2 (31:39):
What's up this.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
Way up with Angela Yee? And what are you gonna
do with all those skills if you're not in the
right rooms with the right connections. Well, the cole Point
Djoor is here to talk about her agency, the Master
Connector agency for this Wealth Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Now, you said you left Wall Street to focus on
your business.

Speaker 4 (31:55):
I tell me how that decision went, because I know
there's people listening right now, like, well, I have this
side hustle that I'm doing, or I have something that
I aspire to start or launch, but I'm scared to
leave my bread and butter. This is what pays the bills.
This is how to be able to fund my business.
How did you decide it was time?

Speaker 13 (32:14):
God gave me the vision? And like, I help people
now how to identify your gifts?

Speaker 10 (32:19):
Right?

Speaker 13 (32:19):
Because yes, you could be doing something, doing something as
a passion project, but how do you get paid for that?
So that's my calling that God put over me. It's
called paycheck to Purpose, but it's where I help people
figure out how to identify what their gifts are and
how to get paid for your gift. My gift is
connecting people. I write a book on it. I have
events where I connect people in the room. If somebody's
saying I want to speak about something, I want to
get more corporate, get corporate a lot. I know people

(32:41):
at corporations that can help them get speaking opportunities.

Speaker 5 (32:44):
So I teach people.

Speaker 13 (32:45):
Now, like, don't be scared, write it out, get a plan,
stay at your job as long as you can. To
fund the business, because running a business costs so much money.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Oh my god.

Speaker 13 (32:54):
So I tell people were you have to have funding.
You can get business funding, make sure your credit's right.
But I'm your gift. It just feels so much better.
So God told me, like, it's time for you to move.
I have something bigger and better for you. And I
was like, all right, guy, you.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
Know what I can do. You know where my bills are.
So I just took the leap.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
So and I know that's what we're gonna be talking
about even more in November six.

Speaker 5 (33:13):
Yes, November six, Get in the room.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Yes, yes, yes, right now I'm talking to Nicole point
du Jour for Wealth Wednesday. We're discussing her agency, the
Master Connector. It is important to get in the room
and events like this, I always tell people sometimes I
know we could feel like, well, you know, this is
this something that I have to do for work.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
This is something you have to do for you, for you.

Speaker 5 (33:34):
I want to say one quick story.

Speaker 13 (33:35):
So one of my friends was on a panel, high
profile person, and I was like, I wasn't feeling myself.
I just left my company two scaited. She's on a panel.
I'm like, I'm gonna pull myself together go to this event.
I really don't want to go because I'm just like
Morning leaving walls sheet, but I go to support her.
She comes off stay and she's like, you don't look
like yourself and I was like.

Speaker 5 (33:52):
What does that mean? I thought I pulled myself together.

Speaker 13 (33:54):
She's just like, you're usually high energy, like you know Nicole,
And I said, okay. She's like, I'm giving you sister
girls time to take you to lunch.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
We went to lunch.

Speaker 13 (34:00):
At the lunch and a girl walks over and she goes,
I know you but I'm thinking she's talking to my
friend and she's like, no, I know you, and I'm
like me. She said, yes, she said I came to
your event and I said really. She said yeah, She's
like your event changed my life.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Oh wow, that's what I said.

Speaker 5 (34:13):
I said, I even change your life? She said, I
said how.

Speaker 13 (34:15):
She said, I'm working on a real estate project in Tennessee.
It's a two million dollar project and I met a
god that does government contract in the room at your event.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
That's helped me with my contracts.

Speaker 13 (34:24):
And so it was like stories like that. I'm like, God,
I hear you. Let me keep going.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Yeah, that made you feel like really energized.

Speaker 5 (34:30):
Yes, I'm like, okay, got now I'm on the right track. Someone.

Speaker 13 (34:32):
If your event changes someone's life and they get the
opportunity to help with their business, that's why I created
the room.

Speaker 5 (34:37):
So you can meet people that can get you to
the next level.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Well, I'm excited to be there because I'm hoping I
can meet some people, Like.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
I got all these people come out.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
I'm trying to meet some people to get me to
the next level. Where can people get tickets?

Speaker 13 (34:47):
Yes, so you can get tickets at the Masterconnector Agency
