You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. You worked
all week work work, work, work, work, work, work, work work.
You didn't have time to look at your fantasy lineups.

(00:44):
But don't be afraid. That's why we give you weekend
Fantasy Update. It's all right, welcome back for our number

(01:05):
two of weekend Fantasy updates. Joglina, George Kurtz, Mike blew It,
Joan Angle producing our show Keeping Us Flying Straight, and
yesterday uh Georgia Seawan Angle put a little uh SoundBite
of when I said, you know, he keeps us flying
straight of a little jet flying you know, flying straight.

(01:26):
So yeah, you know, Angle gets all these little little
these intricacies and to keeping the show interesting. So kudos
to the Fantasy Prints oh sorry, my sister reply to that, well,
good for say something nice about say something nice about you.

(01:47):
We have no idea what Shorge f backing by the left.
We have no idea they don't want the studio that
they got him locked up in a closet of a room,
which is that we used to do. I showed you
from that room back in the day. By the way, hilarious.
Uh that was interesting. Uh sitting on cheers. You hope
we aren't gonna, you know, collapse underneath you, but that
was funny. You have like this black curtain around us, right, yes, yeah,

(02:12):
Frank and Mike writing stuff on the walls, which is interesting.
M h. But hey, so, uh, we had teased we
were gonna do a little uh preview on the a
f C West. We had, Yes, we are the Chiefs,
let Mike tell us what to do. Well, we had

(02:32):
David's maddick, big Chiefs fan on the first hour of
the show. Uh, Chief basically man that they look like
uh they were in mid season form, right. I mean,
we we all love Chief's offense, George, but uh, you
know from a real life perspective that the defense was
as bad as their offense was good. This year, right,
so he hoped that maybe there's a little improvement there. Right, Well,

(02:55):
what what what the chiefs? Chief chiefs? Yeah, let's try
and speak English. It's probably the one thing we all
agree on. Pat Mahomes is the number one quarterback with
taking fantasy, and Travis Kelsey is the number one tight
end of taking fantasy. Right, we don't I don't know
anybody who's disputed either. One of those that doesn't have
Kelsey at number one doesn't have my homes at number one.
So that's a good thing, you know, we like that

(03:15):
makes life a little easier there. We can debate where
to take the Angelo Williams as her running back one
or running back to you know, I know Andy Reid, Uh, Damian,
did I see the Angelo? Uh? He did very well
for me. He did well for the Steelers when he's
filling in for a Bell. Right. I'm sure Mike Blue's

(03:36):
a fan. But as far as Damian's concerned, we I know,
we heard Andy Reid came out earlier this week and said, oh,
it's gonna be a committee system. I think Andy Reid
still piste off at Williams were missing some practice, you know,
for not really I think Read one come back from
the UH. I think at what the A was might
have been a hammy a little quicker than he actually did.
And I think this is Read's way of saying, you're

(03:56):
not as shut of this draw. You better get your
butt in here, and you better play, you better practice,
you better well that sort of thing. I think this
is pretty much a one back system. That's what Reid
has done throughout his coaching career. Is generally one back.
Doesn't mean he'll do it this year. I'm just saying
that generally throughout his career. I wouldn't be dropping Williams
too far because of what Andy Reid said this week.
I think this is more just coach speak trying to
motivate the player, that sort of thing. Taria kill. I mean,

(04:20):
I happens in the top ten wide receiver, close to
five actually than to ten. Uh just moved him ahead
of Antonio Brown because of Browns issues. I'm not gonna
play because of a freaking helmet. You're an idiot. Uh, seriously, here,
You're an idiot. You. I mean, I just, I just
I just can't stand when players do that. You know
it would be in imy players. And yeah, I'm not
gonna play because I can't get my helmet. He tried

(04:41):
to paint a helmet. He paid that helmet. He was
a three year old, by the way, I mean literally
like like, what are you doing? What the hell are
you doing? Anyway? So I moved Tyreek Hill about above
him my rankings. Uh, yes, so you can think what
you want to buy Tyreek Ko. I think anybody's listening
to me knows. I think he's a scumbag, you know.
I think he's done things wrong here. I don't think
he's innocent of this at all. I think he got

(05:03):
away with the suspension because of the end. It's the
hunt of the year of the NFL, and they want
to do well commandment commemorative things that they don't want
to think something going through the courts, and this would
have gone through the courts. So I think that's what
the why he got away with it. You know, it's
the right timing for him. So strange. As far as
I'm concerned to what's going on there with the Kent
City and Hill, Uh, not a fan there, But that
being said, I Joe Mike. I separate fandom, a fandom

(05:29):
for it, or a fantasy or gambling. From my personal
beliefs here, I will drive. I might hate hate Terry
Kill as a person, but if he's gonna win me money,
I'm drafting Tyry Hills. It's that simple. You know. If
he's gonna help me pay my bills, he's gonna win
me a league, he's gonna win me a DFS tournament,
he's gonna win me gambling. Because I've been on the
I've been on a proper Terry Kill with the Kanda
City Chiefs, I'm all for taking him once again. He's

(05:51):
paying my bills. I don't care about that. But I
think some people, some people in fantasy, some people won't.
We know that people. I'm not drafted this because I
hate hm. I started get that too. And if you're
in a home league, which is the fun league, fine
do that. But if you're in a money league, man,
you still want to take the best players available when
you're turning to go. I think, Joe, I think I

(06:14):
think I'm started with George on this. I can't sit
here and be hypocritical and talk about you can't draft
this guy. I've had Zeke Elliott on my team's and
that was in the throes of the serious situation he
had with the ex girlfriend where the prosecutors said they
think something happened, but they didn't have enough evidence to

(06:35):
be able to get conviction. Um. I think whether it's
Joe Mixon or Tyreek Kill or z Kelliott or any
of these other guys, this isn't a real locker room.
If you want me to take a stance, I don't
think this is the right one the right place to
take it. It's not a real It's not it's not

(06:57):
a real locker room. I'm not actually employed anybody. I've
made bets on people in the past that I'm sure
are rotten human beings that I'm not even aware of,
you know. Like, so there's plenty of people out there
that have bet money on Floyd Mayweather, and that guy
served actual jail time for domestic violence. So, UM, I

(07:21):
just I don't think I can get too emotional about
a fantasy football team in that way. I wouldn't criticize you.
At the same time, I wouldn't criticize you if you
choose not to George. Our our friend Ray Flowers from
Sirius XM. He's somebody that very often I give him
credit for it. He's he's diligent about it. He really

(07:43):
will not roster players that have been through incidents like this,
whether it's Adrian Peterson or any of the other names
I've mentioned. So I can appreciate that. I just to me,
it's it's a virtual situation. So I don't really get
that emotionable about it. Excuse me. I can't appreciate it. Also,

(08:03):
and I wouldn't get on ready for following his beliefs there,
But you're hurting yourself. I think the other problem is, Mike,
there are so many of these players. Now we're not
talking one or two guys. You gonna be out there
on ten at least ten. What's all the top players here? Okay,
you can't. You can't. You have Ban Roethlisberger he's gone,
No Zeke Elliott he's out, No Tyree Kill and you
go on, I'm just going position by position. You're eliminating

(08:25):
guys here. You know, and certainly if you are this
kind of person, you've bet not let people know because
that you know, people know if they can draft around Joe,
I know he's not taking him. I can wait for him.
That sort of thing. You don't like the point like
I said, I don't like any of these guys. All
three of us have fathers here. We can't like what's
going on with Tarrey Kill. How do you even if
you believe Tyree Kill. Yeah, and you think it's the mother,

(08:50):
Why are you doing anything to correct this? Why are
you still with her? What's going on here? You did
nothing to fix the situation. So even that bothers me,
you know, So I said, I just I can't. I mean,
we would all protect our children. I just don't get it.
I just don't get it here, you know, And the
fact that he's that no, he's got this thing in
the past two he's already done. You know, I don't
know how many strikes you want to give the guy.
Just it's just strange to me. Like I said, I

(09:11):
I don't like him. I have no problem saying it.
I don't like him Ben Rowlis progress at the same thing.
Don't like him, you know, for what he's done. If
you ever read that transcript of what he did in Georgia,
it's it's atrocious. I can see whether they couldn't prosecute him,
but it's atrocious, I mean, what he did. But once again,
I'm not hanging out with these guys. I'm not going
out to dinner inviting him with my house. You don't
have dinner with my kids and my wife. It's not happening.

(09:33):
But if they're going to help me win money, you know,
we'll help you win a championship, whatever it might be.
I'm not gonna say don't draft him. I'm not gonna
say that because I have I think I have Ben
Rolllisberg and probably half my teams last year. You have
to say it once again, weight on Quart. He's always there.
You know, Tarry Kill. I don't have Tarry Kill yet
this season, but I'm not showing away from him. I
just told you I drafted Zeki Elliot. I'm a Cowboy

(09:53):
fan and I just drafted Zeke Elliott in the House League.
You know. It was once again, I didn't know what
drafting as being a cowboy fan, but he filled me fifth.
I thought it was a good value for him. I
took him, and I'll do it again. Everything I do
is you know my analysis on winning. I want to win,
like if it was a you know, a fun leaguey,
I'm playing with Mike and Joe, No Monty just for
breaking rights, all right? Maybe I don't draft band, maybe

(10:14):
I don't draft two, maybe I don't draft Elliott. But
you know what, my competitive spirit would probably still get
the best of me, and I probably still would I
still want to win. It's no money, Joe. You had
mentioned something when Davis was on about a couple of
I'm calling backups, but the sort of second tier of
those Chiefs players. Because we all know Kelsey and Hill

(10:36):
and Damian Williams and my Homes those are all going
in the top thirty picks right now. But what about
Sammy Watkins, Carlos Hide, Darwin Thompson. What about How interested
are you in any of those guys, and specifically at
the running back position. How concerned are you that Damian
Williams can get some of those touches? Take away Gonna

(11:00):
be honest with when it comes to Damian Williams. I mean,
consense to me dictates that a guy that has a
hundred eighty three total career regular season carries. I mean,
is it? Is it this common sense tell you that
this guy is gonna be able to carry the ball
two hundred, two hundred fifty plus times in the season. Yeah,

(11:20):
he came on real strong at the end of the the
last season, no doubt. But to me, I mean, look,
we could talk about you know, coaches, uh blatantly lying
coaches trying to light a fire under players, but because
they don't like the way that they're practicing the other
the way they can conducting themselves on a team. But

(11:42):
you know, when it comes to Damian Williams, if I'm
drafting him, I'm gonna damn will make sure that I
have a really good back up in place on my roster. Uh.
You know, call Us Hyde nice running back, but I
think he's proven even though he's not an old guy
that I don't think he's he's a bell cow back.
I mean he's he's Can you really consider him a

(12:05):
straight handcuffing in this backfield? I don't know, because you
have you have some depth there. Uh you know as well,
like I like what I saw at a darnalpan Thompson.
You know, doesn't mean I'm gonna draft Darwin Thompson. Just
means that, you know, if if if Remid is looking
to to give little a break to Damie Williams, Thompson's
in the mix now. So uh yeah, I am concerned

(12:27):
about Damie Williams. You know, like, like I said, I
don't know. It's just sometimes, you know, we get all
super hyperout a player and we remember, you know, the
recency buys of how Grady finished this season last year.
But look, can this guy do it over a sixteen game,
grueling season when he's only had a hundred eighty three
career carries. I don't know, George, I'll let you hit

(12:48):
up the Sammy Watkins conversation. I'm gonna have a tough
time drafting Sammy Watkins personally. I just think he's a
consistent injury waiting to happen. But the reality is in
that offense as a starting wide receiver, if Sammy Watkins
stayed healthy, he he'd catch a lot of balls he
and he would have the opportunity to create some big plays.

(13:10):
Obviously with Pat Mahomes throwing it to him, Hill and
Kelsey and even Williams might be in front of him
on touches on receptions. So Tammy, He's gonna have the
opportunity to make some bigig plays if he's out there
in the Scott Fish Bowl. I believe almost positive I
have I have Sammy Watkinson is my wide receiver too.

(13:31):
Now at that point, where we did scott Fish Bowl.
Remember this was in July. Uh, he'll I thought he
will be gone. I was thinking six games, maybe eight. Yeah,
I thought he'd be suspended. I'd get the one wide
receiver there. So they didn't work it out for me,
you know, a big, big strike out there, and now
I gotta live with that. And uh, it's funny, I
didn't remember that he started talking about this, So thanks

(13:52):
for depressing me here. I have no idea receiver, but
I know I waited a while on my receiver. So
I think I'm probably in trouble there. As for is
white receiver is concerned, it is what it is. I said,
you draft early, you're gonna take some shots. You might hit,
you might miss. This one's a miss, you know with
the non suspension there. But that being said, he'll have
some games. But he's never really put it together. He's

(14:13):
never been anywhere near the play. We thought he'd beat
and we thought he was gonna be dynamic with Buffalo.
Didn't work out the Rams he was okay, you know,
he's just he's this. This hasn't been that player. Just
because the Chiefs have a great offense and they do.
I don't see big things coming from him here. Uh
they would be okay, Uh yeah, I do have the Watkins,
Washington Fields, my number one s New Landry, Oh Boy

(14:36):
Docks and Alison. Oh well, we're gonna break down our
We're gonna break down our our scott Fishball teams in
the next segment because Tyler Blowski is gonna be joining us,
and he's done Scower rankings for he's done power rankings
for all the scott Fishball teams. How dare he? How

(14:57):
dare he ranked me? Sie nine? He does not like
my team or his model does not like my team
at all. Galina is coming in at three sixty and
we're still searching for where Kurts is coming in. But uh,
he's off the choice approaching twelve hundred of the teams.

(15:19):
So all right, let's talk about the Chiefs in general.
Right now. They are a minus one five to win
the division. The Chargers are plus one seventy Broncos plus
thirteen hundred Rads plus sixteen hundred. Uh so first of
all Chiefs to win the division. Joe, do you think
it's Chiefs, Chargers or somebody else? Boy, that's a tough

(15:43):
one because both of those teams so are very good.
But I think it's it's it's between both of them
and uh we it started the conversation about the Chiefs
is you know, how much is their defense improved? Because
like I was telling George, and as much as their
offense was fantastic last year, that their the defense was
almost just as bad. So, uh, you know, charges are

(16:06):
gonna be an interesting team, uh to see you know
just how much time Melvin Gordon is gonna miss. I mean,
you know, maybe if you talk to Jerry Jones. Super
Bowls aren't one on the backs of freaking pact. But
I think it's beca Cowboys Yea, yeah, Emma Smith, right,
idiotic statement. Yeah, Cowboys won three Super Bowls. Guess what
was the coincience of all three? And it won the

(16:28):
Dan rushing title? Idiot Jones. So the Chiefs did add
to Joe's point about their defense. They did add Frank
Clark and Tahron Matthew in the off season. It made
the trade for Frank Clark on Draft night, it's right
around the draft, and then Tarron Matthew was their big signing.
So they did add a couple of big pieces. The

(16:51):
defense was an issue last year year couldn't get off
the field in the NFC Championship game. Still almost one
but nonetheless, oh see how that goes? Uh and George.
Their win total is ten and a half. I think
we did this. I don't know if I did it
with you or Joe. Uh, I don't remember what I had,

(17:11):
but I thought it with Joe. I know I've done it.
I've could being camp too, by the way, for that matter, Uh,
we do took obviously a lot of gambling there. I
had them at over. I think I had him at eleven,
but not enough where i'd bet it. Obviously, if it's
ten and a half, I have you a half over,
it's not I don't feel confident enough in doing it
I did. They're a very good team. I think it.
Charges are also a very good team. I would have
the Chiefs winning the division now because of the Melvin

(17:32):
Gordon holdout. Yes, I think the Charge will survive without him.
You know, if if he decides to hold out to
the season, Eckler and Jackson, you can do that. But
still that's as far as the over unders concerned winning
the division. I think that pushes the edge towards the
Chiefs not to mention Hill coming back where we did this,
I don't think it was with the team. I actually
agree with that. I thought I thought the Chargers were
the best bets on the board, and then felt Jordan

(17:53):
held out. Don't come back with Toler Blowski. Next from

(19:27):
I'm pronouncing that right? Is that Tyler Blowski? Yeah? You
nailed it in good stuff. Yeah. So Tyler Blowski. Uh.
You find him on Twitter at Tyler Bolowski and he's uh.
He is co host with his son of the Tyler
and Eli Fantasy Football Tips podcast. But the reason I'm
having him on is because he has put together a
power rankings model for Scott Fishball. I know this is

(19:50):
a league that everybody hears about a lot. It's because
there are many many experts in it and many fans
in it as well. Twelve hundred teams strong and Tyler
I should have you know, and Joe Galena can back
me up on this that at at week six of
last year, I was in first place. It was only
nine hundred teams last year, but I was in first place. So,
needless to say, I was stunned when the this year's

(20:11):
power rankings have me at six ninety nine. So I
need to find out what the hell happened here. I
need to I need to make some moves early. I
need to get in on the waiver wire. Possibly improved this,
But how does this model work out? Yeah? My the
way I do the grading is I'll go in grade.
Every player individually has nothing to do where you draft

(20:33):
with the player at has nothing to do your team makeup.
You know, if you want ten quarterbacks and three receivers
and whatnot, that doesn't matter my grading skills and one
to five. It's kind of like a tear draft um ranking.
You know. Zeke Elliott, he'll get a one. Po Redger
can get a four or five, depends how I field
that day. All rookies this year are five. Last year

(20:53):
Berkeley would one because he was a stud. This year
there's no studs out there. They're all get fives. Uh.
I has to do with my day to day feeling.
You know, if I'm in a good mood. Mike Williams
is gonna Mike Williams is gonna get a four. I'm
in a bad uh mood. Williams gets to five. So
it's kind of, you know, a little wishy washy there,
but you know those are for the lower tier guys.

(21:14):
In my opinion, I really like Eli Manning. I think
he's gonna be great this year, even though Shephard's out
for right now. But I had gave him a two.
I've always liked Eli. He's consistently four thousand yards. He
gets it two this year. The lower the number of
the better. It's like golf holdouts. Some trade and injuries
didn't matter with the grading because I graded right after

(21:34):
all the drafts are done. So Zeke, Elliott, Melvin Gordon,
Antonio Brown, you have nothing to worry about with those,
and the scoring system doesn't matter, you know. I know
tight ends are heavy this year and it's super flax,
but again that kind of goes along with a makeup. So, uh, yeah,
you did great last year with your your first six weeks,
but this year you don't know how to draft. So
that's why he got a six. Wow. No, no, no, no,

(21:59):
And all honesty and every These things really mean nothing.
Is just something I wanted to do for the Scott
Fish Full Nation Contribute one Way and last year last year,
I didn't get an invite right away, so I was like, well,
how can I contribute? And I was like, oh, we'll
just rank them all and it's it's a two to
three weeklong process and it's it's fun. I love. I'm

(22:20):
getting a ton of big positive feedback. You know, a
couple of people here and there are irked about it,
but yeah, it's just something you know, keep keep on,
keep on trucking, and keep on with the Scott Fish
Full Nation Contribute one way. I did eventually get it
invite last year Scott to say, hey, you know we
have a drop out. Do you want to jump in
on the gosh? So this is my third year plane,

(22:40):
Um I didn't. I didn't rank myself this year for
conflicts of interest. Um I didn't want to, you know,
I didn't want to. People like, oh, you gave yourself
a really good score. No. I So, yeah, hey, Mike,
maybe we could rank him, Maybe we could go over
his find I'll take a look. I'll try and find it.
I'll try and I'll try and find it. He came

(23:02):
in at three sixty. Go ahead, yeah, I came. I'm
in the doctor Martial if you want to quickly look
it up. Yeah, Mike, you're you're three sixty and George,
I haven't put you in the you know, I haven't
put you on Twitter yet. You're at thirty five. Guys,
got Sammy freaking Watkins is his second wide receiver. I

(23:25):
gotta check out George's team now he also has uh well,
I'm looking. I'm looking at the curtss uh roster here.
I guess having Patrick Mahomes, he's got to be a
one right and also yea, and he gave Eli Manning
it too, so that's pretty interesting. Yeah, So, I mean,

(23:49):
how many man hours did this take you? I mean,
I mean it's a great thing to you know, like
you said, you want to you know, get a contribute
to the uh Scotty fish Pole Nation. He know, think
like I said, it took about three weeks to do.
Um I was pumping. It takes it takes about twenty
minutes of grade each team, so you know, two hundred
hundred twelve teams sorry te ahundred teams, you know, at

(24:13):
twenty minutes to clip and then I had to put
them all in order, and then I had to put
them all in and you know, put them all on Twitter.
So it's it's a long process that my wife and kids,
you know, you know, they kind of got the back
burner for the past couple of weeks. I did a
lot of it at work too, during my lunch break,
um and some downtime. I had it work so I
could pump them all out so I didn't have to
take up too much family time. But yeah, it's a

(24:35):
long process and I can't imagine how many teams Scott's
gonna put in next year and make my job even harder.
So and I and I'm old school. I'm all, I'm
all paper and pent. I don't put it on spreadsheets
or anything like that. And it's just for me, it's
a lot quicker because all I do is I just
look at the name and put a number down. I
don't worry about the names. So when I go back
through and for tiebreakers, I just look at numbers, I

(24:56):
don't care about the names after that. So yeah, it's
it's a lot of assess but it's fun and it's
you know, and I said, depending on how I feel,
you know, a Regick might get a four or five
that day. So all right, So here's Tyler's team, his QBS, Uh,
Derek Carr, Jerry Goff, Drew Lock, Deshaun Watson's actually pretty strong, Uh, Watson, Goff,

(25:21):
Car is a pretty strong top three. I'm not a
huge fan of Derek Car, but I just think there's
gonna be numbers for him there this year. When you agree, Joe, oh, yeah, yeah.
And I'd give DeShawn Watson obviously a one. No towd Yeah,
he's got okay running backs. He loaded up on the Bears.

(25:42):
He's got Cohen and Mike Davis. He's got Ingram, Alvin Comara,
Agent Peterson, t J. Yelder. Now for Blue, his receivers
Gronoy Allison, Devin Funches, David Moore to Marcus Robinson, Sterling Sheppard,
couldn't miss st Brown, Robert Woods. So you went qbas
in RBS early here. It appears to me because the

(26:03):
wide receiving group is good, not great. Woods is your
top wide receiver there. You need Shup Shepherd back from
an injury, that's for sure. And then tight Ends he
got Kyle Rudolph, David and Joco, Evan Ingram. So that's
actually pretty strong tight end grouping because for those that
don't know entirely, you can just you can sort of
sum up what your strategy was going in here. But

(26:24):
for those that don't know, there is a tight end kicker.
So it's uh point per first down UM point and
a half I think for first down for a tight
end if I'm remembering correctly. But nonetheless, what was your
strategy going into the draft considering the tight end bonus
points and everything else. And it's a super flex approach,

(26:44):
So give me your thoughts on what your strategy was
going in. Yeah, yeah, I had, I think I had
I think I had the fifth picks and I was
really looking for Kelsey or uh Hopkins. But Camara fell
to me, so I had to take them. You know,
you get the fifty the five points for every fifty yards,
so it's like, well, am I not take that? I'm
usually zero RV approach when I draft, but Camara felt

(27:08):
to me, so I had to take them. But after that,
you know, you can start up to I think five
tight ends, so I went heavy with that. Like Ingram,
the Joco and Rudolph, they all got ones for me,
and then Thomas got a two. Uh so you know,
I got some pretty tight tight ends. And then my
when I drafted, I didn't draft for the rankings and
hopefully no one else did, so I just draft on

(27:30):
the players who I like, um and who I think
is gonna score a lot. I'm not big on rookies,
so I have like one or two, but that's just
because I had to fill my roster up. So yeah,
I just whatever felt. For the most part, I think
I went Camaro, Watson and then Would's were my first
three picks, or maybe Ingram in there. But yeah, I
just I just when I when I draft any team

(27:52):
I draft, I draft for the most points possible. Like
I'm not one of those guys who sit on cornerbacks
until the eighth ninth round. Same with tight end. I'm
going to fill up my my starting roster first and
then I'm gonna worry about my bench. And that's why
I got like the Alfred Blue Blue and uh um,
Mike Davorite and guys like that, because I'm never going
to start them. Why am I going to draft super

(28:13):
early when positions I'm never gonna start. So that's why
I got Watson and car and golf like super early.
So I just want more points, the most points I
can win. That's how I draft. I know it's against yeah, yeah,
I know it's against industry and everything were on quarterbacks,
so I don't I I bucked the system when it

(28:33):
goes to that, and I draft my points up from
So looking at your roster, now you know where that
that this draft started. I think it was July eighth
of him not mistaken. So are there any glaring mistakes
that you look at, you know, on your team saying wow, man,
I wish I hadn't taken this guy, Like for instance,
on my team, I mean I went with Andrew Luck

(28:55):
and I took Antonio Brown. At the time, it was
very high on Luck, and now I'm a little worried
with this whole calf uh injury news and it's it's
going on for weeks now and Antonio Brown, uh, you know,
the flipping out a little bit about the at the
helmet and the issue with the defeat in the frost bite.
Any guys on your team that you say, wow, you know,

(29:16):
I wish I hadn't taken them, and I wish I
had gone, you know, left instead of right. No, I'm
I'm pretty happy with my team. Like I said, I'm
gonna I know who I'm gonna be starting, Uh, you know,
super flex. So it's gonna be Watson and Golf every week,
and then Cohen, Ingram and Camera are my three backs.
Uh probably if Shefferd can come back healthy, Shepherd Woods

(29:36):
and Allison and maybe in between the punchifs in there,
and then the three Ingram, Maduko and um Rudolf are
gonna be my three tight ends. You know, all those
points you're gonna get for tight ends. I loaded up
on tight ends and I actually got Thomas pretty late
because I look deeper into the scoring system and realized, hey,
you can start I think up to five tight ends.

(29:57):
So it's but you know, it's double up on some
tight end and with some more points. But you know,
it stinks that Shepherds hurt, you know, So that's gonna
put a little thing in my my starting lineup every week. Uh,
because he's never he's always been seems like he's always
consistently hurt. But as far as your team with Luck
and um Brown, you know, it's just you're drafting in

(30:19):
a sense, not you, but you in general you're gonna
be drafting the names. You know. Luck Yeah he had
that calf issue, but it's still injury. Lucky, you're gonna
still draft the name. I mean, if you pass on him,
you could end up with a golf and that may
not be so great. Antonio Brown, he's just a head case.
You know who he is, what he's gonna be. You know,
it's just you know, you probably sell the name at
a good spot to you picked them, and then you

(30:41):
know it's unfortunately, you know, it's it's just like any
other fantasy season. You know, you're always gonna have the
water ifs and uh just the injuries and but yeah,
you just gotta take the name that you see and
hope for the best and and hope it pans out
for you. Again, we're with Tyler Blowski. He's the host
of Tyler to i Fantasy Football Tips podcast. He's done

(31:02):
a power ranking so those of you out there in
scott fish Ball. It's his third year playing the scott
fish Ball. He played at seven, eight and not and
now nine. Uh So for those of you that are
playing in scott fish Bowl, check out his Twitter thread.
He's tagging you if you're playing in it so you'll
see where you are. I'm in a robust six, Galina

(31:25):
at three sixty, Kurts at thirty five. Now I got
to check out what Kurtz's roster is. He obviously has
done well. Galina, I'm looking at you right now. You
got the luck question mark obviously backing up up with
Cousins and Stafford. I mean you have you actually have
three really good starters. I have Mr Biski Rivers, and
then I am backing them up with Mariota Tannehill combo. Uh.

(31:49):
I don't think Mariota will get benched due to bad play,
but I think there's a chance that since he's been
hurt a whole bunch, Tannehill could be in there at
some point. Tyler. Yeah, like just going through your roster
right there, you know, um you have a two to
two and a five and a five. I don't like
any of the Dolphins this year, so punch all the
Dolphins got fives and um so so yeah, so you're

(32:12):
right there. You're sitting at fourteen points alone just on
quarterbacks and it ended up quickly, you know, and you know,
if you have some rookies in there, that's gonna add up,
but yeah, Tannehill in Mariota, and again I don't really
like Mariota. So that's my personal opinion of marriotist. So
he got a five. You know, he may be, you know,
a top fifteen quarterback by the end of the year,
but for right now, I don't like them. It's a

(32:34):
personal thing. So he got a five. So and that's
the thing. Like everyone's like, oh, I addrested the best team.
I addrested. But yeah, your your opinion, that's you're you're right.
You probably did do a good draft for the Scott
Fish quoll. But my opinion, my rideting system, it's it's
a five. You know. That's why I like Eli Mayne.
He got it too. And so it's a lot of

(32:54):
people come. I've gotten so many d m s about
like all my team is so much better. I think
it's all a bit fun. You're obviously doing doing it
in good fun. I'm not actually offended by my six
nine ranking. I understand stand sort of how you came
to it. What if I say about my team in general,
is that between Jamal will you names Edo Smith and

(33:15):
Austinin Ekeler, there's an opportunity for my team to be
go from good to great in a hurry hoe because
with Aaron Jones, DeVonta Freeman, and the Melo and Gordon
hold Out, I've got some question marks. Here were these
running backs I didn't have to spend a lot to
get and I could get a massive return out of it.

(33:37):
I'm not suggesting that Jamal Williams is a great player,
that Edo Smith would be excellent if he was in
a full time role, But you know, we're talking about
some sticky situations at running back for those teams, at
the Gordon hold Out, DeVonta Freeman's constant injury history, and
Aaron Jones, Like we just got off the phone with
Davis Matick an hour ago and Davis was saying that

(33:58):
Aaron Jones is the type of guy that could in
your league, but it could go negatively, right. It's a
great strategy if you don't feel comfortable with the running
backs that you've drafted, drafted in terms of as your starters,
if you get the guys that are a heartbeat and
injury away from becoming the number one guys in the backfield.
And look, the guys you just mentioned have a lot
of upside. I mean, Devanta Friedman as a history of

(34:19):
getting hurt. Edo Smith could just roll into that number
one h RB one role for Atlanta and a very
good offense. Austin Ekeler, I mean, we don't know how
long Melvin Gordon is gonna be out, so a lot
of upside. Yeah, yeah, alright, Tyler. One last thing. I'm
taking a look at your team here, uh at the
wide receiver position. You do have equitemis sat bound in there.

(34:42):
Give me your thoughts, just and you have Geronimo Allison.
Give me your thoughts. How you think that Packers wide
receiving corpse shakes out after Davante Adams. I think it's
gonna be Allison. I think Allison is gonna be the
too too, and then then uh St Brown is three
and then everyone else falls behind them. And just I've
always like Allison, he has he has that connection with Rogers,

(35:05):
so good good stuff. Yeah, that's a good question. Who's
your squad? I like the Giants. I like the Giants
figures I thought so too. Well, that's why he likes Eli.
That makes sense, right, I think I think I think
Eli is gonna be on the bench by October. But

(35:26):
that's me. I don't think it's gonna be a particularly
good season, but I wish them luck and I wish
you luck, and thank you for doing this, helping out
the scott fish Bowl community. You find him on Twitter

you for joining us on this Sunday morning. So we
just got off the photo Tyler Bloski. He was he's
doing the Scout Fishball Power Rankings. Uh, George was not
for that segment. But the good news, George, you came

(37:03):
in thirty five in the power rankings. He hasn't even
posted it yet, but you got a little sneak preview.
He likes your team a lot. He really likes Eli.
He's a Giants fan and he likes ELI. First season,
there's an opportunity to get number two. Remember one to
five one being the best. Mahomes obviously a one, but
he gave Eli at two. And you have Roethlisberger. You

(37:24):
actually have to do strong, really do have strong quarterbacks?
You went you must have gone hard with the qbs
in this league or I don't. I really don't know
how your draft played out? Well? Uh, super Flex League now, well,
I've been. I've been in scott Fish Polton that started.
And one thing I've noticed in scott Fish Boat you
never know how your draft is gonna go. And what
I mean by that is you don't know how people

(37:45):
are gonna to attack the quarterback position. Sometimes they attack
it hard, and you're gonna see four quarterbacks go in
the first round. Sometimes they don't. So no quarterbacks went
in the first round. And that's that draft. I had
the eleventh pick and I took uh I think it's
like Levian Bell at eleven and uh so no Cobs
went around one. But I wasn't waiting to take a
quarterback until round three, and so obviously had the fourteenth

(38:07):
round pick and I took my Homes at fourteen. Now
it happened to be a draft that went very much
like the Friday Draft. I could have waited. I think
I told you one of you guys before. I could
have had Matt Ryan again if I wouldn't want their
way to round three, and if I had to do
it all over again, I would have done that, and
I would have taken the top receiver probably at fourteen
or top fey, but whatever it might be. But would
have been a receiver there to pay with Levi on Bell.

(38:28):
So that's how that worked out, how I got my
homes there Rothlisberger. I ended up waiting quite a bit
to go for now once again I was able to
read the draft. Then okay, they're waiting at quarterbacks and
I took Roelthlisberger. I want to stay around seven somewhere
around there. And Eli was you know, later in the draft. Um,
and I'm sure Mirchteblewski knows what he's doing, like I
think he does. As for your rankings of one's great

(38:49):
and two is obviously the next, Eli is nowhere nearer
to you want to double that. I could buy four.
You know, he's not a two. You could find out
he's a he's a Giants fan like me. So okay,
maybe let his emotions get in the in the way
of his ranking. So and he admitted that he said,
you know what, depending on how I feel at that moment,
you know, you can give you five if I don't

(39:09):
like you that day, giving you one at George, a
couple of players that he's not even started, a couple
of players that he said he really likes that you've drafted,
or Eli Manning and Jeronima Allison, so he has Allison
on his team as well, So I think that's what
really too. Also, I don't think he said that, but
he does. He does think Allison is like the clear

(39:31):
number two to Adams. That's just sort of the way
he's looking. He's not the clear number two, that's what
That's Tyler's opinion. I'm with you. I don't think it's
that clear. He also likes Econemias st Brown to be
the number three there in front of Scantling and Jaman More.
Jamal More caught a touchdown passing the game the other night.
But we do have some similar players on our teams,
me and you, George. We both have Derrick Henry. We

(39:53):
both have James washington Um and I was looking at
another one here as Jamal Williams. So I was saying
to Joe on my team, you wouldn't look at it
now and be like, this is a great team. I
think you think it's fine. But I do have Edo
Smith and Austin Ekeler and Jamal Williams. So problems with

(40:13):
the starting running backs, which Chargers are currently in the
midst of one could make my team a lot better
than it is right now, which is really sort of
strategy when it comes to Scott fish Ball looking for
guys that, as you get a little bit deeper into
the draft, have an opportunity to be a starter at
running back because that waiver wire gets thin in a hurry. George, Sorry, yeah,

(40:38):
I think when it comes to Scott Yeah, it's funny
when every every anybody asked me on Twitter and you
guys must get these questions to hey, write my team,
rate my team here? I almost give the same answer
every time. And you want this answer, by the way,
and the answer generally is, uh, you know, it's a
good start to your draft. You know what. All the
term in your fate is the moves you make during
the season and staying healthy. If I give you a

(41:00):
different answer, well, I mean it could be good, could
be you know, you have a wow, what are you
playing in? At eight team leagues? You have who what
you start play? Is? That be a great answer. But generally,
if I give you another answer, that means you didn't
do well. You know what it means, Uh, that's the
fourteen team league, sitting team leave. But it's a twelve
ver ten and I'm not giving you pretty much the
stock answer, it means, wow, you have some holes here, buddy.
You know, because generally a draft unless no, I don't

(41:21):
think there are very few leaks where somebody wins it
in a draft, in a straight draft, you know, generally
a good start, stay healthy now, you know, make to
make the moves during the season, pay attention, and like
I said, if you but if I'm giving you a
different kind of answer, it means, wow, uh, those are
your receivers, buddy, and you didn't. I don't if I
had to think what your number one pick was, and
sometimes I do. I'm looking at your who's your first
round pick? You know you wait, I guess you went
to something I consider strange. You know. Then that's not

(41:44):
good here. So I think the same thing with Scott Fish.
But that's my point here. Most of us the draft
is a good start right now. It's staying healthy. And
Scott Fish, it's so important cause we drafted two months ago.
We know at some point during training camp guys are
gonna ge hurt because they're gonna go out and all
of a sudden, Jokelin is like, oh I just loves
my third round pick. That's freaking great. So this no
matter what the what these ratings on, what these rankings

(42:04):
are that and that's just Bilski by the way. Also
the Yahoo rankings, the CBS ranking. You can look on
Anthony Draft, all those rankings go by. It's the same
thing he was doing. It's someone's opinion. This is how
they ranked their players. So if you drafted your your
team in the order they ranked their players, you're gonna
do very well. If you didn't, you're not. You know,
That's why I prefer it. Maybe a composite ranking, you know,

(42:26):
like you use ESPN ranking. At least they're taking five experts,
you know, Matthew Barry, Tristan cow Caravelle, Mike Clay and
Fantasy pros all right, san fantacy pros exactly. That you're
taking a whole bunch of people's rankings and then meshing it.
That to me, is more accurate rather than one person's rankings,
including if it was my rankings alone. Yes, when I draft,
it's like Joe Glina, Mike blew It, I'm sure you

(42:47):
followed your own rankings. I follow my rankings. I had
to go with my gut and what I think is right.
But uh, I said, I people get upset. Oh yeah,
who right? My team of c plus who the hell cares?
I mean really, it means nothing. Okay, if they rant
your team at probably yeah, yeah, exactly why I was
right to there. You're right to see. I guess you're

(43:08):
right there. But if they rank your team and F,
you probably have issues. You're probably screwed up somewhere. Maybe
you order drafted. But actually if you order, you should
do well. But of them, I think it would be
I think it would be an interesting experiment to try
to try to get an F to see how good
a team you could draft. That's the vampire league. That's
the Mike we you want. Were you one? Last week?

(43:29):
We took a vampire league. I was on a I
was on a show where we talked about a vampire league. Yes, yeah,
have you ever done? He was with us. Yeah, it
was just Joe and I. Yeah, Mike, have you ever
done it? I've never done one? Joe's have you ever
done a vampire league? Mike? I would love to do. What?
Why don't we start an industry vampire league. We could

(43:50):
be like that, the next Scottie Fishball kind of thing.
Why not? Right next season? We start a vampire league.
I want to be the vampire. I thought there would
be a lot of fun to trying to eliminate people. Um, okay,
so let's by the way, guys real quick. Uh got
some breaking news and uh, Steelers wide receiver coach passes

(44:12):
away at sixty two years old. Yeah. Yeah, Jeremy Fowler
from ESPN just put us out ten minutes ago on Twitter.
So yeah, so I just wanted that's a big blow.
I mean, the same thing happened with Tony Sperrano last
year with the Vikings, and now our condolences. That's really
awful news, abolutely obviously a surprise and not something you

(44:37):
wanna have happened. Not easy to make it a transition
out of that, but I appreciate just one. No, no,
I think it's I think it's an important update. So
um our condolences to Steelers, to his family, and obviously
it's going to be a rough thing to deal with
in the middle of training camp or at any time.
So we're about to talk Chargers. Uh we got Melvin

(44:59):
Gordon's at suation is really probably casting a shout over
that whole camp. From a fantasy standpoint, He's plummeting in
many drafts. I really wouldn't want to get anywhere near him.
I think he's gonna hold out for a whole bunch
of games. I don't think he'll hold the whole season
because he won't accrue that year of service that he needs.
If he does hold out for the entire season, the

(45:20):
Chargers would just have him back next year. Um, he
doesn't improve his negotiating stance by holding up for an
entire season. I think he does. He will try to
by holding out for a whole bunch of games. Anyway,
he got that Melvin Gordon's situation. Keen and Allen going
right around twenty five in draft, so end of the
second round, early third round keenan Allen. I've seen him

(45:43):
going the second in most drafts. He got Mike Williams
with about Tyrrell Williams. There's but Mike Williams make a
step up, Joe, I'll throw that TV first. Uh the
first question mark Mike Williams. Does he make a leap
up this year in season for the Chargers? I think
he does. I mean, if I remember, uh, in his

(46:04):
first season it was a washout because of injury. But
this guy is a big play receiver. Uh has now
been in the league. This is it will be his
third year. First year he was he only started one game.
But like I said, a guy that uh a deep
ball threat and uh with Tyrrelle Williams now with the Raiders,

(46:26):
I think that he's one of these guys that, you know,
like a post hype kind of a sleeper type. So
I'd be willing to take a dought throw on him.
George Mike Williams. You know, yesterday I had a party
at my house, and I bring that up because about
half Yeah, I'm sure you're coming from Jersey, Uh, because

(46:50):
I couldn't invite you. Who's gonna do a show? All right? Right,
you had the cover of a show. That's why my
wife's like, you wanta invite anybody from working my honey,
they're covering from me, all right, this is I'm here. Uh,
She's like, how about the hockey brake up? Like you
realize his hockey games today? Can't write nobody from there either,
So anyway, but I bring it up because about half
the guys from my home league we're here, could have this,

(47:10):
could have the draft yesterday would have been great. My
wife must hate this stuff where all they're talking fantasy,
which is Greek. You know a lot of my my
family members so great, they have no idea what I'm
talking about. But one of the guys was talking Mike
Williams and in this league we get to keep three
players drafted after the third round for three years, you know.
So and he was thinking of, now, this guy is
not named nowhere near an expert. You know, he's a

(47:31):
solid player. You know, we're near an expert. And he's
told me the players on his team, and you know
he had he has good gorook keepers. Because what about
this Mick Williams guy, He said, Williams. So what Williams?
There a lot of Williams in the NFL. He goes,
uh uh, Williams on the Charges. I'm like, you mean
Mike right, not Tyrell was on the Raiders. He goes, oh, yeah, Mike, Mike,
that's the guy. I'm like, you gotta what round you keeping? Man?

(47:53):
He's like, I'm not sure. Can you look at my
look up it's round seventeen. I'm like, yeah, he's a keeper, buddy,
he's an easy keeper. Not as I don't think it'snna
be a top ten wide receiver, But I think he's
gonna be a good wide receiver too, maybe lower on
the lower end side here. I mean it brings back
to the Midlevin Gordon thing. I think I'm much more
worried about his holdout because Ekiel Elliott. I think it

(48:14):
could leak into the regular season. I don't know if
he'll go ten weeks when the other show to make
it as a crude season. I don't know her goal
that far because he's giving up a lot of money.
They don't know if he wants to do that. But
I think it's could leak out there. I think the
Chargers to think they can survive with Eckler and Jackson,
although the running game would take a hit. Right, it's
not gonna be as good as it was with Gordon,
which means they're going to have to throw the ball more,

(48:35):
and with no Tyrella Williams being there. Yes, Hunt and
Henry's back, so that'll take away some targets that might
have gone there. But Mike Williams, he's not gonna see
too much double coverage. That's gonna be on Keenan Allen.
You know, he's he's so much saved the over the top.
That would be on Keenan Allen. I like Williams a lot.
That's wrong. I'm trying to say I like Williams a
lot this season. Yes, obviously in the seventeenth round that's
an easy keeper. But I think Williams is a good,

(48:56):
solid player who's ready to take that next step. You've
seen how athletics. We've seen, maybe more importantly that Philip
Rivers not that not a fact to throw the ball
in aft fifty situation in the end zone, Mike, we
get it, that sort of thing. So I'm a big
fan of Williams. Yeah, Mike Williams the twenty one wide
receiver off the board right now, behind guys like Robert
Woods and d J. Moore, in front of guys like

(49:17):
Tyler Lockett and Cooper Cup. I have no problem with
Cooper Cup right there. I think if I was left
with the choice, I would certainly take Cup and Williams
over lock It. But that would be a hard choice
because it was Williams because they're right in the same range,
right Uh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Wood's end Cup are

(49:40):
probably right in front of Williams for me, only because
Mike williams injury history if he stays healthy, he could
be a monster, but he is an oft injured player.
It was it was always an odd thing to me
that the Chargers drafted Mike Williams in the top ten
when their number one wide receiver who's fantastic and Keenan
Allen has had a lot of injuries. They picked a
guy coming out of and who has had a lot

(50:01):
of injuries. He had them in college, he's now having
them again in the pros. I just thought that made
it a very tenuous one to punch as talented as
they are um with an agent quarterback. I just didn't
love that choice. But he still is an extremely talented
wide receiver. So, Joe, I'm gonna give you one. Uh.
Hunter Henry is now the six tight end coming off

(50:22):
the board. He is sort of deadlocked almost with Evan Ingram.
This is again according to nff C a dp S,
So Evan Ingram is the fifth tight end off the board,
Hunter Henry six, Jared Cook seventh. You okay? Taking Hunter
Henry there? Uh at like the sixty six pick off
the board middle of the sixth round. Yeah. To George's

(50:46):
point in terms of especially if how long this uh
holdout of of Gordon's lasts. You know, Rivers is gonna
have to throw the ball a little bit more. He's
shown in the past that the elect went to his
tight end. Uh, you know the Antonio Gates isn't there
obviously this year. Uh. You know, Henry missed all of
last year. But when he's been healthy, he's been productive.

(51:07):
So in that range, yeah, I'm happy taking him. George,
You're good. Are you a Hunter? Hunter, Henry Guy? I can?
I feel like in the past you've been all over Hunter. Henriette,
I don't know how you feel about him coming off
the injury this year. It's been a long time since
that a c L was torn. It was basically I
think it was O T A s last year. It

(51:28):
wasn't even training camp, so that a c L is
over a year out from having in torn and repaired.
I actually, I don't know if I've ever had hun
to Henry in the league. Uh. Maybe, but I don't
remember having him in any league. That being said, I'm
not against him. You know, he's in my second tier
of tight ends, you know, after the Big three, and

(51:48):
you want to put Kelsey in his own tier. Fine,
but Kelsey, Uh Killert's whicheveryone where you want to go there.
I have Hunter in that next tier. Uh with you
mentioned Ingram and O. J. Howard. I think they're almost interchangeable,
but for me A Gram and then Henry in that order.
But they're the same tier. But that's the order I
have them. And I always worry guys um with the

(52:09):
A c L. It's an injury I've had, so I
understand how it works, and the I understanding obviously have
professional people making sure they get as healthy as possible.
But you truly don't feel great. You can play in
a year you don't feel yourself the two years you
know that's that's second year is where really when you'll
get better. Not everyone's. Adrian piece was a complete freak.
That's sort of thing. So I think he'll be fine.

(52:31):
I would have no problem taking him, but I'm not.
I say, that's why he's at the bottom of the tea.
I think so the next year we could talk about this,
he may be up at the top of this team.
I don't think we get the kel Sart's category. We're
gonna be at the top of the team here, so
I'm not showing away from him, but I'm not dying
to get him either really quick. Yes, knows on this George.
Chargers make the playoffs this year? Yes, Joe, Yes from

(52:53):
me as well. Did they win the division? Joe, that's
a tough one. Now I think it's the Chiefs. I
think the Chiefs. Georgia. I agree. I changed it after
after Hell came back. Chiefs back with our number three.
