You're listening to the Fantasy Sports Radio Network. You worked
all week work work, work, work, work, work, work, work work.
You didn't have time to look at your fantasy lineups.

(00:44):
But don't be afraid. That's why we give you Weekend
Fantasy Update us. All right, welcome back for our number

(01:17):
three of Weekend Fantasy Update. Yeah, it's the weekend. Joe
Glin at, George Kurtz shawan angle. What are you doing? Sean?
You you're you're you're keeping us flying straight? Anything? I
don't know. Thanks for tunning in there you go there
you NonStop, non stop, non stop. So here we are

(01:39):
Weekend Fantasy Update, Fantasy Sports Radio Network. And uh, I
thought we'd talked a little bit, uh a little bit
more baseball before we moved back on to football, and Uh,
there's a couple of guys I guess that that we
could think about picking up off of the wave of wire.

(02:04):
How about a guy that we talked about briefly. We
talked about him last week, Aaron Savelli Aaron Cleveland, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
uh Savali. Uh actually pitch well. We we did that
show together last Sunday. He did well that day. I

(02:25):
was a little leario about using him Friday against the Yankees.
Of a pitch well against the Yankees. Uh, and four
starts at one point five y r A Georgia. I
think you're right, there's gonna be relegated, probably to the bullpen.
Wants the playoffs start, but I think for the next
upuple of weeks at least until you know, they start
getting Cluber and possibly carrasco back. I think he's a
serviceable starter to be used. No, well, Cluber is back shortly.

(02:50):
He came back as soon as next week. So that's
gonna be your first issue. Who's coming out? Okay, we
know it's not Clevinger. If we know it's not Bieber, No,
so who or not Beaver was not? Justin's not his
name there on the New Jersey I think it is.
Uh yeah, I wouldn't want to be known as justin either. Uh.
So we know it's not the loosest who's coming out.

(03:10):
It's first game you start, gotta play there. Cleveland has
been hot. They've been hot for a while now, playing
a very good baseball uh court Minnesota for a bit,
and then they've all gone back a little bit. But
I think eventually they win that division. I think they're
a better team. Better pitching is really where I'm looking
at there with Minnesota just doesn't have pitching. Um there
are no team wants to play a lot of slug
games and see if we can out, you know, outscore you.

(03:31):
And they've been able to do that this year. You know,
I think it's like a record for all the home
runs in one season. But you get my point. So
anybody who's coming out of the rotation, is it gonna
be Pluco, Savali police act? I don't think it's police act.
So it's Pluco or Savali, you know, as far as
which one comes out, Uh, I do think police acts
in this conversation as well, but I don't think it's
going to be him. Uh. They say Carrasco. They're building

(03:53):
him up for the reliever and not a starter, so
you don't have to worry about that, you know. I
guess that could be a good thing. Uh. Pluco has
been okay, You're Valley Pluco. Better sample size or bigger
sample size? You know, it is barely on the five
year at one point one night whip is so is good.
So I think you're okay with Savali. But if you're
gonna bid on him tonight, I mean you may be

(04:15):
betting a lot of money for a guy they end
up going no. You know, we're gonna send back to
the mind wanting to start whatever it might be. You
made a bidding for him for nothing, you know, so
that's what you know. Just be careful. It's almost important
to part there. Be careful. There's no they haven't told us,
you know, and they probably won't at some point this
week because everything here is Cluber's back probably by next weekend,
so that's when we'll know. But they're not. They're not

(04:38):
telling us a pand and I don't blame them because
the odds are every one of the guys we just
mentioned gets at least one more start. Sort of to
prove themselves, and it may come down to that, you know,
then we'll figure it out from there. Mm hmm uh.
Interesting to be talking about a guy with the yes
Shimsky as a last name, right that we were talking
last week, how Guerrero and you hit a triple down

(05:01):
him the right field line and drove in Vizio and
Bichette and it felt like the nineteen eighties, and uh,
Mikey Shrimsky, he's to seventy eight beat and yaverage sixty runs,
forty five runs better than in seventy one games that
was entering yesterday's actions. So I guess kind of a
guy that look, you know, if you're starting five our
fielders and you you know you're you're finally look at

(05:24):
a kind of tweaked your roster as you have the
last five or six weeks of the fantasy baseball season.
Come on, uh, you know, I think you could do
worse than than addit your Strimsky. I would agree. I
think it's a hard discreet now you guy, he's hitting
the three bombs. I mean, it's it's hard to disagree.
The guy is hitting. You know, we all want the

(05:45):
hot guy, and he is the hot guy playing well. Uh,
the bigger question is can he you know, keep going,
is gonna go on and on on on we Uh,
if you're an older person, we know the name, you know, yes,
you know, we certainly know the name. Once again, not
a prospect. This is sort of coming out of nowhere,
you know. Once it baseball when you know we always
say it's top prospects. You know, it's basically in his

(06:07):
in exact science, you know, hitting a round ball around
bad balls, going different speedies, different locations, and you know,
not being afraid of getting killed. You know, it's a
difficult thing to do with Some guys do figure it
out much later than others, so it's always an inexact
science when it comes to ranking these guys. That being said,
no one saw this from yas. You know, it's kind
of scary when I'm now watching. I saw his grandfather play.

(06:31):
Oh god, anyway, not even the son. It's the grandfather,
right that makes you feel. And I literally saw him play.
I mean I saw him a Yankee stading the time
with two So that's just sure. Uh yeah, make sure
like oh good, I am that old fantastic. Uh. So
when it comes to this, he think he's the hot guy.
You want to claim him, no problem. I'm not bidding
a high amount, not breaking the budget here, but I

(06:53):
don't mind going to get him, but keep him minding.
This could end and almost any time he uh we
like him now playing? Oh does playing a home ballpark
that has not suited for left handed tower unless your
barry bounds. So that's no one's gonna be really, you know,
not so good at home, better much better on the road. Uh.
Just I don't think you're gonna want it for the
next six weeks. He's hot, now you're riding, then you

(07:13):
move on, So don't spend a lot. Who would you
rather have add this week? Uh? Kevin pr polar pruh
five five last night, but if you look at his
last eleven games, batting five four home runs eleven runs
better than uh, if both are available on the wave
of wire, who would you rather add this week? And

(07:36):
who do you think has a longer staying power in
terms of you know, not dropping off as quick? Ce
Poar and Yas. Yeah, I would probably go with Yeas
and hope he can keep it a plar. We know
what he can do a right, I mean, yeah, Uh,
that's what he is. You know, I would probably hope

(08:00):
that once again that yeas can keep up the palace.
You're at least you'll hit some home runs. And I
think he will hit some home runs no matter whether
he slows down or not. So I'm okay with that.
Polar was hot when he got to San fran then
cooled off. Now maybe he's heating up a little bit again,
you know, so I don't mind going for that. You
also might might once again get a couple more stone

(08:20):
bases out of Pellar than he well he has, if
that's what you're important, if you need, if every stone
base counts, which hey, we're at the point in fantasy
season if you're playing the categories league, you look at
those categories, see what you didn't need to build up in,
and maybe a couple of stone bases are important, you know.
See I look at that as well, because you're probably
not getting I don't know, maybe one from Yes, I

(08:40):
could see Polar stealing seven eight more over the rest
of the season. So if you need bags, I've had
that Polar got you that good point. Um, he's probably
owned in most leads by now, but then he Sintanna Rangers, Uh,
comeback player of the year. I don't know was he
ever really here other than the that really hot debut

(09:02):
half of the season from a few years back. But
twenty one home runs and nine at bats, you know,
nine batting average, Danny Santana, George, Yeah, all the Santana's
been good at some point the season, right Danny Domingo
and Carlos Domino is not playing well right now. But
Danny Santana, I mean two bombs yesterday. Barriosta didn't like
facing him very much. Uh, so good for him. Uh,

(09:25):
he plays in Texas. We know the bull flies that
we know what's at his ballpark. You know, once again,
he is inconsistent. What I mean by that is there
are times where you know you wish you didn't put
him in your line up that week. You know, so
he's not doing anything. But Dan, if you don't, if
you if you try and play the game, you all,
maybe this won't be his week. That would be the
week he had six home runs, you know. So he's
that kind of player. It can be very frustrating, uh

(09:46):
to own him because you don't. You have to sort
of play the guessing game. This is gonna be the
hot week? Or not the hot week. Uh so yeah,
I like Santana. I think he's been fine. Carlos has
obviously been great this whole season when the Philip w
wish they would have kept him, and uh, you know
Domaino for the most part. Uh right now you don't
want but uh yeah, as far as Mr. Santana on Texas,
yeah you want him right now? Yes. Uh And just

(10:09):
as we finish up our little piece on baseball, Chris
Sale to the I L. Uh inflammation. Uh gonna get
his second opinion from James Andrew whenever you hear Dr
Andrew's name and always worries you. But look, you know
he's had his strikeouts are there, but you know from
day one, Uh, he's had his issues. Sale never really

(10:31):
corrected it. Uh, Red Sox finally opting to put him
on the I L. I think n M R I
showed the inflammation. So it's real. So what are your
thoughts about Chris Sale? Do you think, baby, that this
is it? I mean, look, what were they? Six and
a half the Red Sox out of the wild Cards
are wild card? Uh you know race? Um, do you

(10:55):
think we've seen the last of Chris Sale this season?
While Cards spark. Is that what you gonna trying to say? Well,
card Spark that game, we like it all right. You
know it's funny you speculated several weeks ago that Sale
would eventually go on the I I think you wanted

(11:15):
it more for rest, and we don't think that could
happen because once again the Reds can't afford the rest anybody.
So this is not what that is. This is unfortunate timing,
to say the least. I think Peter Gammon's wrote a
stat this morning. The Red Sex have won eighteen of
their last nineteen games in which they have a quality start.
And that makes sense because this team could scro on.

(11:36):
So they got a quality start. They're fine for the problems.
They don't get too many. They don't get too many
quality starts, you know. And now sale is gone, price
is still gone. You mentioned there's six and a half
games out of the wild Card. They're certainly not winning
at the division. Uh. I mean, if I don't know
what their schedule is, like me, I have looked at it,
but this I know from talking to Gigs. I remember

(11:56):
we didn't go through this that this was the time
they had to go in their run because it was
a week's part of the schedule from this point forward,
and they're playing Bolton one now. They gotta take advantage
of it. So I don't want to say they're done,
but they're close to it, because you can say, oh yeah.
Even so, if it's it's it's a week schedule, not
the weakest of the week. But even if it is,
you know, Oakland, Tampa Bay are also playing week schedules.
It's the American League. They are not too many good,

(12:17):
good teams, so they're all playing week schedules. So yeah,
I think the Red Sox are done. And to answer
your question, which I think is a is a fair
one about whether or not you would uh want to
bring Sale. Uh just hold Sale on your I L
A lot of I L. Maybe you don't have room,
you have to drop somebody. Sale might be the guy
you want to drop, because he's not coming back until
late August. Anyway, that's everything is perfect, right, perfect and

(12:38):
he only back in late August, And that's a big if.
If everything's good right and we don't know that he
hasn't been great anyway, And you're right, the Red Sox.
Let's say by the time he comes back they're nine
games out. There's no reason to bring him back. He's
that elbow injury all season long. Why would you bring
him back? You know? Right now we may get our

(12:59):
we we get our answers. First name, he's a second
opinion with Dr James Andrews. That's generally not good. Andrews
is t J You know that, so you know. And
then the Red Sex has the red set themselves have
admitted that he may not pitch again this year, so
they don't know either. So if you need that that slot,

(13:20):
it would depend on of course, it's gonna depend on
who the player is you want to keep over Sale,
But right now I could easily see Sale being let
go and read raft leicks we can't keep him next year.
I mean, uh, my guess is we we might. My
guess is we have seen the last of them this year.
So I don't think WHOA I'd have to agree with you?
I mean, why take the chance you signed this guy
to a long term contract. Uh, if he doesn't need

(13:43):
eat Tommy John surgery, you know, why risk you know,
may why why risk the chance that he might injured
to himself? Further just it's been a bad year. Put
it to rest let him come back strong next year.
Jamison taie On by the way, for Pirates, he is
out for several months and finally had Tommy John surgery

(14:04):
this week, so he's gonna miss all of next year.
Red Sox don't want to to have Sale pitch again
and aggravate his arm to the point where he might
need surgery that affects his availability for them next year.
So because the Red Sox needs to be like one
year on, one year off anyway, right, so this would
be the year to take the year off and maybe

(14:26):
next year little little challenge for a World Series title.
So uh. Any any news in terms of closers, I mean,
I know Sean do do a little uh blue save
for the Nationals yesterday. Uh there's this guy law in
uh in Toronto. I guess he's the guy to own
up there now. Any news in the last couple of

(14:47):
last few minutes before we go to break dool Little
is just out of gas. He shocks out of gas.
I mean, I know the rest of your Poland sucks.
That's your fault by guys. You should have fixed us
a long time ago with do littles out of gas.
They need to give him a couple of days off
here other Newsday of Blansa took over Shane Green that
did last long, right two weeks. Shane Green's gone as
a closer for Atlanta. Uh, it's funny. It's just really funny. Nathonyo.

(15:11):
Ald You're not gonna close gainst the Red Side. I
think he's starting today or he has coming to release,
so maybe I was respected to actual starting. But Brian
Workman is the guy you want in Boston, Craig kimbro
he could come back to He's not been activated as
a forty five minutes ago, but he could be actively.
They could all send him on a rehab assignment. So
we'll see what's going to have there with Chicago the Cubs,

(15:33):
that is as far as Campbell's concerned. But either way,
you're gonna have him back. If not today, you know
earlier this earliest week, so you'll be able to use
him one way. With the other. Miami, we still don't
know what's going on there. Is it Joel and Garcia's
and jose Kaya. They just have may have may may
save opportunity since they traded her Sergio Rome, so it's
been a problem. Josh Hayda keeps giving up runs at
home runs they don't. I mean it could be Jeremy Jeffers,

(15:55):
but right now they gotta get hated fixed. He's just
giving away too many runs here. It's not working out
there at all. Edwin Diaz and I don't think he's
a closed anymore with the Mets. Of course, won't announce
hm because to be a huge embarrassment. But Seth Lugo
could be a pickup tonight. You know, he could be
a pickup if you want somebody there. Other than that,
we look pretty good here throughout baseballs for the other
closes here, no real problems. Ken Giles looks like he

(16:16):
can't pitch on multiple days. Mm hmm. Yeah. I was
so frustrated about Nathany Evaldi because I'm involved in this
league UH competitive fifteen team league UH and UH one
at the past couple of years. One year's partner with
Florio and Chaco. Last year I was partner with Chaca.

(16:37):
Now I took the team on over myself and I
was in first place for a chunk of the season.
Now I dipped the third and one of my week
categories was saves. So when I had heard that the
Red Sox were gonna instill e A. Valdi as that closer.
I made a huge Ya, I still have fab left,
but I made a huge fab investment because I thought

(16:57):
that this would be the perfect situation for him. Uh.
I pitched well, if I recall, as a reliever at
the in the playoffs for the Red Sox last year.
And uh, you know, I thought that the Red Sox
good team, you'd have an opportunity. But now all of
a sudden, it's blowing up in my face. So uh,
we'll see what happens. But very upsetting for me about Vivaldi. Yeah,

(17:21):
I think you You're not the only person who was
caught in that. I think a bunch of us where
I know, and I got him at least one league.
I don't I don't know how much money I spent
on it. Maybe one maybe, and uh maybe a lot,
maybe been a little, but I certainly grabbed them in
a couple of leagues and it did not work out.
And there's the brakes, right, we were told one thing
end up being out and I gonna stay from the
Red Sox point of view, they needed pitching all over
the place. They weren't be able to slot anyone in anywhere,

(17:42):
right right? All right, Uh, come back, we can Fantasy

(18:54):
the Fantasy Sports Radio Network Weekend Fennessy update. Very appropriate
to breathe fact by John Engle. George could relate because
he was one of the hosts. Him and his wife
hosted a party for his daughter Madison yesterday that the
big blow up slide in the in the palatial uh state,

(19:18):
the Kasa kurts, the Kingdom kurts in the huge backyard.
So uh, I'm sure the girls had a lot of
fun yesterday and very Happy birthday to Madison. Uh today
happened to be um National Fahita day. There, George, do
you like fahitas? I do like fahitas. I don't mind Anya,
you know, speaking of girls, my niece just hating a

(19:40):
hundred dollars? Really, it's a good day. How come this
is that for sleeping you? Is that? Is that? Right? Yes?
I read it last night. That's what it was for.
You are smart? You are one smart cookie. This is
you know, this is the other slot. Maybe I said
twenty dollars to get in. I tr my niece. Yeah

(20:01):
right right there you go. Yeah, so uh, happy right
the day to Madison. Happy national feet to day. I
like to get the feat is I We used to
when the kids were younger. We used to go to
Applebe's a little bit more than we do now, but
I used to order the combo. They have the the beef,
the chicken, and the and the the shrimp, and you
get to make your own fahita, and of course they

(20:22):
bring it on a super hot skillet. Don't touch the skillet,
you know, the you instead, I want to get sued
and uh be blistering my hand by touching the skillet.
But It's also National ice Cream Pie Day, so I
like ice cream. Yeah, yeah, you know, I like, uh
the flying saucer. Is that considered an ice cream pie?

(20:46):
You know? I like? I like the flying saucers. Yeah,
when you say something, you say something. I had one,
all right? Okay, you said you said I had some
for Friday. I'm at the family had something, all right? Okay, yeah,

(21:06):
I think, yeah, we don't have to butter your hips
just to get you through the freaking door, now right,
just one nice little you know. I think it's vanilla
with cold sprinkles. So it was. It was good. Yeah,
they are good. It is hard to have just one.
I'll be honest with you because when you're done, you're like, wow,
that was so good. Let me have a second. But yeah,

(21:28):
we gotta watch what wheating there? Georgia not getting any younger,
so let's talk. We we only had six. The kids
gobble the rest up. So it was option to have
to I do with Carlo yesterday though. There you go
to have the metabolism of a kid once again, just
to to go back right, whatever you want. So Texans Lions.

(21:52):
Texas beat the Lions thirty to twenty three. What happened
in this game here we saw some uh the Shawn
Watson five for seven uh touchdown uh and actually he
looked pretty good. Uh the offensive line uh protected him.
I thought, I thought, that's uh, you know, it's just
so some highlights of this game. What are your thoughts

(22:13):
about DeShawn Watson. What do you have him ranked this season?
I haven't ranked it too, right behind Pat Mahomes. I
mentioned on the super flux leagues I'm playing in this week,
I have the first pick on uh Sunday and that league.
Mahomes is a keeper in that league, Barklay is a keeper.
McCaffrey is the keeper. It is six points for a
touchdown pass in that league. And I'll be taking DeShawn

(22:36):
And there are a lot of other quarterbacks taken already
that there I kept. I'll be taking DeShawn Watson with
the first overall pick. M curious, what what do you
have adon Rodgers this year? You know that there's the
you know, I think he's sort of another wild card
here because you know, yeah, he's a wild card because
of the of the new offense that do they know

(22:58):
what yet? They don't know? It hasn't played in pretty
season that Uh you know so, Uh, it's tough way
to say. I would definitely take my homes out of him,
definitely take Watson ahead of him. It's after that it
gets interesting. Can I go as far down as taking
Ryan ahead of him? I think I can. So I
think Ryan ahead of him. That's it. I can't take

(23:19):
Baker ahead of him. Carson Wentz Luck. I would have
Luck ahead of him to it if Luck we're healthy.
So maybe we'll change about a week or two if
Luck gets on the practice field. But until then, I
can't do it. Cam Newton, No, so I have right now,
I have Rodgers at four got okay? So um yeah,
and I agree with you he is a bit of
a wild card. Uh. But forest Fair, Yeah, I'd say

(23:43):
forest Fair. Uh. Looking at the distribution of carries out
of the backfield, No, Lamar Miller and yesterday's game four
the Texans. Uh damn, Maria Crockett. I have to check
the depth chart to double check it, actually, but I
think he is uh the back up to Lamar Miller
eight carries for thirty two yards. That's a four per

(24:05):
yard carry average. But Greg Howell Jr. Got fifteen carries. Uh,
for eighty four yards five points six average, one touchdown.
I'm sure that he was. Because I didn't see the game,
I have to confess, but I'm sure that these were
later carries. Uh, probably playing against you know, the second
and third stringers for the lines. But interesting that this

(24:26):
guy got fifteen carries. Do you know anything about him?
I'm seeing Uh last year didn't play much. Uh, probably
more of a special teams player. But do you know
anything about Greg Awl? That's the thing doesn't matter. I mean,
you're absolutely right this game out when he gets fifteen carries,
you know, use it probably doesn't matter. Yeah, if you're

(24:47):
getting that many carries, by the way, he's generally not
a good thing. It really isn't. Yeah. I guess it
means that you know, uh, they weren't They weren't worried
about you getting hurt. You know, I was thinking that
way I saw Did they really need to see that
much to play you what 'es essentially a full game? Yeah?
So I I just think it comes down to where, Uh,
he didn't care, could have gotten hurted, have not gotten hurt,

(25:09):
didn't didn't bant bother on one way or the other.
So I guess I'm looking at the pessimistic viewpoint there.
So no, I didn't see him either. I did hear
about it, but I didn't watch any of the game
right now. I think what's on right now. It was
like we got New England and Tennessee. That's on the
NFL network right now, and it's seventeen to nine Tennessee.
In case you're wondering, did you see a nice touchdown? Patiently?

(25:29):
Uh So, No, I don't think it's I don't think
it's of any consequence the fantasy owners. Yeah, I think
I found them like his coin. He played his ball
for Florida Atlantic, So I'm looking at his senior year.
Hundred twelve carries, seven hundred forty rushing yards six point
six average. Uh doesn't really have good hands, only caught

(25:53):
ten catchers in his college career, but five points to
yards per carry. I guess we'll just keep him in
the keep him in your pocket. But you bring up
some good points when you're getting fifteen carries in a
in a preseason game, that's because they don't want Lamar
Miller or the Denria Crockett hurt. So uh no, uh,

(26:15):
the see Hopkins got a touchdown pass so uh, I
didn't see will Follow's name in here in the box score.
But for the Lions, no, Matthew Stafford. Uh, let's see
who carry On Johnson? Three carry sixteen yards five point three.
What do you think about carry On Johnson this year?
I don't hear how many people talking about him? What

(26:35):
do you think about him? It's gonna be a bell
cow this year or not? Well, we were worried on
early on, we worried about Johnson because they said there
was going to be uh sort of a committee approach there,
you know, as was Patricia bringing that over from New
England where you don't really use anyone back. You keep
switch it up, but you hate fantasy football that sort
of thing. But then they said we'll tap tap the
brakes on that. We are going to use Johnson. They

(26:57):
have to use Johnson. They're not load to a playmakers.
They they have to use carry On Johnson. So I
like Johns as a mid range running back too. I
grabbed him in the staff league that we play, we proticed,
participated in. So I think it's gonna be fine. You know,
I did they have enough passing game with the threat
with Golladay and Stafford that teams won't be able to
stack the line. You know, you're not gonna see the
safetyame with out there, eight man in the box, that

(27:18):
sort of thing. I think. I don't think John's is
a superstar, but I think even I think he's the
top ten running back by season's end. Yeah. Thirty two
catchers last year. Uh, five point four yards per carry, so, uh,
you know, decent start to his career last year. I'm
willing to take a flyer on him. Uh and uh,
wide receiver wise, is this the year that Golladay asserts

(27:41):
himself as a fringe top twelve wide receiver? Oh? It's
a position too deep, all right, I mean without injuries,
I mean Hopkins, Thomas Adams, Jones, Beckham, Hill, Schuster, Brown, Evans,
Alan Cooper, Hilton, Edelman feeling he's got to push quite

(28:03):
a few of those guys out to get in there,
and it may not be about him. Staffords regressed a
little bit as well. Yeah, and then just look at
other guys that I have above him. You know, guys
like Godwin could be there with them, Cooper, Cup Robert Wood,
Stephane Diggs. Uh. I mean I like Golia, like I
got him in a dynasty league that I've had him
since you got drafted. So I'm interested, But uh, it's

(28:24):
not asking a lot. It really is because you don't
have to move about seven eight s lost. I think
without injuries, and there will be injuries, of course, but
without injuries, no, I think, Bob, if you gotta say,
of course, you know, three or four guys got hurt
and he had a better season two or three others. Sure,
I can see it, but I still I like Golly,
but he's not I don't think he's the play of
these other guys are not in fantasy m hmm. On average,

(28:48):
he's going in the fourth round of typical twelve team league.
You you're comfortable drafted him there? Comfortable? No, but that
is his a DP. I think for me, when I
look around him, I'm probably gonna go in a different direction.
I don't like this team. I don't like Stafford as much.
I'd rather have Godwin. I would rather have Mike Williams,

(29:08):
you know, once again holding out. Yeah, although it's hard
with the l A or three of those guys, Woods, Cooks,
I think rather have Woods. I rather have Woods. I'd
like the consistent guy. I pretty much know what we're
gonna get game in and game out. But they they're
all going to produce value and they're all good white receivers.

(29:28):
Cup I think could have a slow start to the
seasons because he still comes back from the A c L.
But any of these guys, they're problems. I think with
the three of them, there were days where there were
games where one doesn't have a good game, the other
two do, and vice versa the next week. It's gonna
be hard to make everybody happy. I guess the good
thing is they don't have a tight end to worry about. Right,
we were talking about this and yesterday show, and since

(29:49):
we're right about the a DP where he goes uh Panthers.
D J. Moore, what do you think about his um
season and all the hype that this week we heard
about Curtis Samuel? Obviously we have to, you know, keep
it in check, but uh, do you think that who

(30:10):
would you rather have at this point? D J. Moore
or Curtis Samuel? Do you think that their targets might
be distributed fairly equal this season? I don't know We're
gonna be big on either one of these guys. Now,
absolutely right, Djore was the hot guy, uh a month ago,
you know, low end wide receiver too, and then all
of a sudden in the past seven or ten days,
Curtis Samuel is getting a lot, a lot of play,

(30:32):
a lot of talk that he's gonna know a sudden,
be that that guy. But you know, you also have
to believe that Cam Newton's healthy. That shoulder is gonnay
his long balls back? Come on, George, they said its
long balls back and a week ago how to relearn
how to throw the ball. You have to hope that
shoulder is going to stay in tackle all season long?

(30:52):
Is he gonna play smarter l of a sudden and
not take kids they shouldn't take. You know, Cam has
been uh great athlete, but sometimes you make some dump
play is and just I want to run head first.
These guys see what happens and he was he went away,
You get smacked and you got the concussion. I'm not
the injuries there. There's no reason to do that, you know,
Is you gonna play smaller sometimes? I don't know if
they can. Are there going to be issues because they

(31:14):
want him to do a new throwing motion to protect
the shoulder. I find it kind of I find that impossible.
He's gonna be able to do that even throwing the
ball one way your entire life, and now you're gonna
try and change it in one off season. I don't
see that happening. And if he doesn't, if he can't
you change it, does that mean there's much greater risk
of further injury? That concerns me as well. That's why

(31:35):
these rankings that have Cam new still a top five
quarterback and fantasy man, I can't see that I still
have his top ten, but I get that the top
five from three years YEA, yeah, yeah, I'm with you.
I'm not a Cam guy this year. Um too, I'm
worried about him. Uh. And let's just fish it off.
About the Lions. I know you say you didn't really

(31:56):
not into their offense, so I know you're not gonna
be hot on this guy. But maybe you like you say,
DP Marvin Jones in the ninth round? Uh? Is that fair?
Or like you said, because you just don't like the
lies passing offense in general, that you totally stay away. No,
I kind of like Marmon Jones because of the value.

(32:17):
That's a solid whybously you can get late I wouldn't
say you getting for free, but you get him late
and he's generally that's that's a reserve. He's not even
not one of your start is probably not one of
your flexes. It's a nice reserve. Mark Jones on my bench.
I don't take that and never really, you know, I
think that's a guy you can absolutely go for there.
I don't know why people are so down on him,
I said, I'm not down on the lot. I mean,
staff has regressed a little bit, but I don't think

(32:38):
this team is very good. They're gonna behind. They shouldn't
have to throw the ball more So, I think Jones
has some value, not that he doesn't have a monster
season or anything like that, but I think we are
sleeping on him a little bit. So right around his
his same a DP. You have Larry Fitzgerald, D D Westbrook. Uh,
you know, just let's see. Uh we talked to Curtis Samuel,

(33:00):
maybe Kiki coute Of those four guys, Uh, who do
you like? So out of Larry Fitzgerald, uh D D. Westbrook,
Marvin Jones or Curtis Samuel's or Kiki Couta, that's five
guys I gave you try to rank him, to tell
me what you think of him. All right, I didn't

(33:20):
write it down over things that didn't know. You want
to force me to do. No, no, not gonna Forcenate Fitzgerald,
D D. Westbrook, Marvin Jones, Curtis Samuel and Kiki Coute Hey,
Samuel and Jones. All right, Um, I would probably take

(33:40):
Fitzgerald first. All these guys have works by the way
down here in this grouping here, I would probably take
Fitzgerald first. Uh, once a game. Maybe he's playing the
difference to the whole Famer and all that. Um, I
think I would take I'm not taking west because we
don't know how much he's going to be used in
that jack of All offense with Nick Foles. He could

(34:02):
use the same amount of way. I just don't know
Jimmy Jones. Let's say I I tend to go to
safer out what you can see if Fitzgerald, Jones, Samuel
coute and then D. D. Westburry. But they're all close
and they're all sort of in the same range here,
So I'm not knocking anybody going in a different direction.
But Fitzgerald, I think I have another Siddle season surparried
they came back. I really I was surprised to you
didn't didn't retire that he wanted to play with the

(34:24):
rookie quarterback for our team. It's not going anywhere bead
eventsive line and all that, but I'm happy he came back.
It's always good to see a great mart I said,
they're say Fitzgerald Jones is safer to me, I don't
have much doubt that the other guys have more upside,
especially Samuel Coute. You know, I think they do have
a higher upside. So if that's what you're looking for,
the rankings are close enough for me where I could
see you going with those guys. You know, for me,

(34:45):
I tend to considerative, to take the safe play. I
love Coute. I'm just worried about his his injury history
in his short time in the NFL. UM and a
lot of people are into D. D. Westbrook, but I
have my concerns as well. Uh when it comes to Fitzgerald,
how concerned should people that were all over Kyler Murray

(35:09):
and that Arizona offense b after or what the Raiders
did to them the other night, or should they be concerned?
They're not showing anything. It's all vanilla right now, is
not showing anything. I'm not worried about that at all,
not at all. Murray doesn't have to be smart, slide,
get down, you know that sort of thing. Don't don't
take kids, you don't need to, you don't need to take.

(35:30):
But I don't. I don't care about the first game.
He may not show anything so big one, so I
wouldn't worry about that too much. I would worry about
the abounce of line though. He's not trying to get
anybody killed back there, all right, So there's one game
that took place last night. They we've been talk about
Patriot Titans. We'll discuss that when we come back Weekend

point that I gotta pay for the slide it's in

this weekend for the pot. So yeah, we'll try and
make some money. Mm hmm all right. Uh so the

(38:55):
last game that we haven't spoken about that place last night? Uh,
I was between the Patriots and then the Titans. Seventeen
Patriots beat the Titans. Uh let me ask you ruined
it for me? Oh really, I'm sorry. I'm watching it
right now. I don't care. What's the score right now

(39:17):
on your screen? Looks like I think New England just
scored a rushing touchdown here they they did? He got it.
Damian Harris? No, no, no, Harris must be Brosette. Who else? Okay? Yeah?
Yeah yeah. By the way, Damian Harris fourteen carries eighty
yards five point seven average Patriots that aren't don't worry

(39:40):
about him either, right, he's expendable. Yeah, I don't. I
don't think it's too worried about having a fantasy, not
in the least. M hmm. All right, so let's start.
I guess with the Titans real quick. How many games,
if any, do you think that Ryan Tannehill will start
at quarterback? Season? Oh? God, Mariota Mariota Winston. Two guys

(40:06):
have the same year they're coming out, and the pretty
much proven years, proven years if you want to be
a big long term contract next year. Uh Tanni brought
over a good backup, not a good starter, not the future.
So I think for him to start takes two things.
What you've given up on Mariota, he's that bad, it's
just not not working. You're moving on so and too.

(40:26):
Of course, an injury and Mariotte does get hurt. If
I was the place at over under, I would say
the over unders three and a half, So I think
that's where you go. Really, yeah, I think Barrio'll get
hurt or banged up, you know, so I think he
will get a couple of starts here. Plus I'll say, yeah,
I'm still I'm gonna take the under there. But uh,

(40:49):
I don't like either one of them, won't time. I
don't get matters, you know, the Tennessee is still I
think Tennessey is gonna be searching for their quarterback of
the future next season. Yeah, in the draft, Huh, it's
a pretty strong quarterback class too. It's very strong. I
don't know if they'll be picking low enough for them
to get a good one. This is not a bad team,

(41:09):
so that could be a problem, but it's it's yeah,
that's the thing. Yeah, I feel this is a team that,
you know, they just find a way to just win.
And I was I think I was telling you that
blew It or Cam yesterday. You know, pretty good defense,
strong offensive line. Uh, they just always seems to to

(41:29):
win like nine games a season. Not an easy division.
But uh, it's gonna be interesting to see how patient Variable,
the head coach of the Titans, is with Mariotta. Uh,
you're right, Mariotta tends to get a little bit banged
up every season. But Mariotte is not variables guy. He
didn't draft him, so he doesn't have, you know, an

(41:50):
attachment to him. So it will be interesting. Mariotta yesterday
six for nine sixty three yards uh and a touchdown.
Uh And uh Ryan Tannehill seven for eleven eighty four
yards uh one touchdown. In a real life scenario, who
do you think as a better chance, you know, if
you get fantasy of getting this team, you know, further

(42:14):
in the playoffs or at least to the playoffs. I mean,
the playoffs are gonna be to be tough. You know
what's still talk about Mariote here, right, So yeah, that's
gonna see ye that in my mind, that is probably
the toughest division in football, top to bottom. You can
make it all for every team, uh. You know, I

(42:36):
tend to see Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Houston. You can make it
all for every team that they can win with division
that they get finished last. Uh. I And you know,
we play the game, what's the one thing that could
go from worst to first? In the NFL? Usually happens
every year. I think this is a division where it
could happencause Jacksonville. I think it's the best chance. You know,
does anybody really see uh you know jack is gonna go?

(42:58):
Where's the first? Probably not over New England Cincinnati year,
I don't think so, Uh, Oakland or Devil. I guess
it's Oakland finish least, No, you know Giants, New Uh Detroit, No,
Tamna Bay no, Arizona No. So the only team that
really has a shot would be Jacksonville to really go
from worst to first this year. So I mean we

(43:20):
like jaxually that they have the defense right. Uh Nick Foles,
We'll see what he can bring. Indianapolis all about Andrew
Luck and he say, can you get healthy and get
on the field there and be the m v P P.
Keller player was last year. Houston may have the best
overall team. I love what they did adding Duke Johnson.
I am worried about their offensive wine man, I think
Houston you give up. I think it would be calling
Daniel Schneide almost daily to see if you know you

(43:42):
want don't want to play for you? I can use
a love tackle, you know, see what what it was
course to get it deprive him away there. Uh, that's
the one way I feel about it. There. The problem
is I'd rather have Luck, I'd rather have Watson. I'd
probably rather have Folds too. You know. As far as backs,
I'd rather quarterbacks I'd rather have over Marriotta. It's close

(44:04):
with foals. You know what does Tennessee have that's better
than the other teams in that division? A run game? Derrick, Henry,
Marlon Max about even for Nett, probably a little bit
better and just gets hurt all the time. Uh, and
we all know that they have a better read again
in Houston, although with Miller and Johnson, I might like

(44:26):
that combo better. But Henry and uh, Dean lewis a solid.
But I I go back to what do they have?
You know what does Tennessee have as better than anybody
else in that division? Not the quarterback, not the what
we know it's not the white receivers, not the running backs,
not really the defense. They're a good, solid football team,
but nothing that makes them stand out. So I think

(44:47):
Tennessee is actually a team that finishes last in this division,
and I think they'll be a good last only to
be four and twelve. I think there'll be something like
seven and nine somewhere around there. Last but not what
we're seeing today's sports where they're not last enough, you know,
And here's what you really good or really bad. So
you can make those uh you get those high draft
picks and they won't be that. I don't see them imploding.

(45:08):
It could happen, but I don't see them imploading. It's
going to hurt them, right, and they looked to run
the football. You mentioned Derrick Henry and basically he's going
what third round or so in the twelve team league? Um,
are you buying into the strong finish that he had
last year? Do you think he could build on it?
Do you think he's a you know, a bell cow back?

(45:31):
How how nervous are you about Dion Lewis uh you
know taking some of his uh you know, his play
away Well, I mean you mentioned it. We still have
to buy in what happened last year. At the end
of the last year, he was you know, if you
start him, he won you leaks or I mean, of
course at least we played against him, you know. So

(45:52):
now are we buying into that that he can do
that again to that degree? Probably not? Now he is
a running back that in my mind, you know, he
needs to play, which means he's a whare teams down.
No one wants to tackle him in the second half, right,
it's like, ohn't it's freight truck coming at me. That hurts.
That's paying I'm feeling that. But yeah, well Tennessee remained
patient and giving the ball that many times when in

(46:12):
the first day, you know, at the end of the
first day, if he could, he has eleven carries for
twenty eight yards, you know, But in the second half,
you know, a sudden you give eleven more carries that
could be a hundred twenty yards because they just don't
want to tackle him anymore. The only thing is ken
Mario to give him enough of a threat in the
passing game to get that safety of play deep has.
But no, you know, he doesn't have a lot of

(46:33):
help with receiver. They keep drafting guys. Lets see, I
want to finally pay off here. But that's your issues there.
So I think what you said about Derrick Henry's right.
He is a running back to there's some upside here.
I don't think it's immense upside here, but I think
he's just you know, back end running back to right.
So get your pen and paper out, because they're gonna
give you five guys, five running backs that go just

(46:54):
about at the you know, at the same time, you know,
within reason. Uh So Aaron Owns running back for the Packers,
Marlon Mack running back for the Colts. Uh, we spoken
about carry on Johnson, the Lions, devote the Freeman and Henry.

(47:14):
I'll even throw in Josh Jacobs if you want. Oh, yeah, okay, alright, Uh,
I mean is this is a tough grouping here about
Joseph right, yeah, Now give me impossive questions to answer here. Uh,
it's tough to know about Jones office that they're going

(47:34):
to have, you know, and they're gonna run the ball
more than they usually do. You know. He's also dealing,
I think, with the hamstring injury. But it's mine. He
should be fine. That office has been a mess so
far this prey season. Mac is not built to be
at every down back he will He'll wear dads. They're
gonna have to get heins a little bit of a
caddy there. Freeman concussion history man that scares me for

(47:56):
running back, Who's gonna leave with his head all the time. Here,
I don't know carry Johnson won Jacobs. I like Jacobs
a lot. Carry Johnson won Jacobs two, Freeman three, Mac four,
Jones five, Henry six. With that being said, there all
probably with intense spots, and so they're yeah, yeah, are

(48:18):
you a little nervous about Jacobs that he hasn't had
a lot of carries in his college career? And you know,
so you take that into consideration, the fact that you know,
college football seasons only twelve games as opposed to grueling
sixteen game schedule. Do you think that he wears down,
you know, earlier than than some of the other guys

(48:40):
on this list. I mean, the fact that you carry
is a much in college and someone's could be a
good thing, right because you know his body is not
beat up. The probably mal be more for his longtime
future than this season. I don't think it would have
Madden uh this year. But listen, we like Jacobs, Antonio
Brown's back, you know, so that should once again teams

(49:02):
can't load up the last croup and say, hey we
gotta take Areay Jacobs. They're not gonna do that scud.
You be afraid Brown's gonna run loose in the secondary
so that's good news there. The offense should be better.
You know, I don't know if I'm a Derek car
probably if or not, I don't have in my top
twenty quarterbacks. But we'll find out about him, you know,
we'll find out. You got Brown, You've got Jacobs, you're
legit weapons. Now the offensive line can hold it together here.

(49:22):
You should have opportunities to hit big place here, which
once again is good for Jacobs. What this is good
for Jacobs I have Jacobs is that once you get
a nice solid running back too. I took him in
the what they call the pit league, which is staff
here for the friends, best friends and for Frenzy show.
So I took him. I thought he was the value
was there, and I agree, there's my third running back,
which makes me being happier to have him. So I

(49:44):
have I have hope here that he'll be a good
solid running back. I'm not afraid to take him. Let's
put it that way, right, uh. In the few minutes
that we have left the Patriots, I mentioned Damien Harris
fourteen carries eighty yards five point seven average. He actually
also caught four passes for twenty three yards. Talk to

(50:04):
you about the backfield for the Patriots, and it's always
been so so tough to figure out. And uh, if
you look at uh last year actually back to the
Patriots ran about fifty of the plays that they ran
were passing plays that I went down to overall in

(50:26):
do you expect them to continue to depend on the
run game a little bit more this season as well?
I mean, look, you know Brady a phenomen the goat,
but uh and you know a guy that works out
like a nut, uh and wants to play to the
forty five but not getting any younger. So what do

(50:47):
you think the Patriots offense looks like this season? Well,
I wish you would have best this question before they
got Josh Gordon back right now. Thinks gonna be drastically differently.
Uh do more tempo offense. So I would have said, definitely,
he's gonna run the ball more before Gordon got reinstated.
You know, Now maybe not, you know, maybe they do.

(51:07):
I'll keep running the ball, throwing the ball up and
down the field. The problem is Brady is getting up
there in age. You can't get him hit all that
many times. Even though Brady generally gets rid the ball
very quickly. You know, he knows where he wants to
go with the ball before, yeah, before he gets a snap.
So we'll see here. I tell you think they'll throw
the ball more they would have three days ago. You
know now that other incorporate that, and they have they

(51:29):
have enough time to do it, seating the stuff for
another one three weeks, so they have enough time to
do that. I don't think it'll be as much as
year as he did Joe, but it'll be more than
what we we thought. It's really my my answer that imagined.
I proved Brady up in my rankings about three spots
because of the Josh Gordon news, even though I don't
I only Josh goes the same player he was, But
it does give them a legitimate weapon that they didn't

(51:50):
have three days. But we didn't think they were gonna
have three days. Two minutes, Yeah, what how many games
that Josh Gordon and play last season that they had
for a bunch of the season last year? Now he
got de yeah yeah, yeah, so all right, um and

(52:12):
uh so as we have a little less than two
minutes left. Uh, we had talked a little baseball before
I saw that Vlad Guerrero. I think that he had
an m R I but show inflammation left me but
nothing major. He's day to day. Did you see as
we head out? Did you see that at back between
Vlad Carrero Jr. And roll This Chapman and last Sunday's game,

(52:36):
I was just like drama in regular season? It was

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
