You worked all week work work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work,
you didn't have time to look at your fantasy lineups.
But don't be afraid. That's why we give you Weekend

(00:42):
Fantasy Update A right welcome back. Final hour we could
Fantasy updates, Fantasy Tis and for Joe Blina and or
Mike Bluick, I'm George and we'll take you through until

(01:02):
the top of the hour with the weekend Wages with
Camp Stewart and myself discussing the baseball slate, you know,
the sport that Jim Dave forgets exists during the summer.
Uh what was discussing a pretty much all your game,
all the news and notes day, all the gambling. Josie
Ramiers fractured hand that's bad, Jim. Bad. Have a fractured hand,
bad for any hand injury for a baseball player, you know,
hard to grab that bat. But that's okay. I know

(01:24):
you don't care. Next time you're on the talk hockey
for three hours, that's all we're gonna do is talk hockey.
Then I'm gonna put my wife on. She got hockey
draft starting a couple of weeks. I did a mock
during the weekend for hockey. Uh. You know, everybody talks
about the NFL being a year long thing. Hockey is
really trying to stand this to do the same thing.

(01:44):
Didn't they just finished playing Like I'm like, three weeks ago.
The season just last too long. I'm not going to
deny that, Jim. I mean they start in October. They
by the time the Cup is over, it's late June
or middle of June. I mean, see, it's just two months.
See just then two months ago and literally training camp
starts in about two and a half weeks. All right,

(02:05):
So I agree with you there there. It really is
no downtime. Uh, that is the forever season. It just
goes on and on and on and on. But we'll
talk about that another time. I know, you really want
to anti hockey in hockey. I know, but I'm gonna
have to insist we keep talking football if we're gonna
talk hockey, and I gotta talk you know, I gotta
talk about the best goaltender in the league. Man, guy

(02:27):
who just keeps getting it done year in year out
and had an exceptional eighteen season. And you know Martin
bro Door has to be in your starting lineup, mat Door.
Uh yeah, yeah. But when you start about absolutely, especially
if I'm in the league. Uh yeah, it's funny. You
should mention that. By the way, people actually asked last
night during the draft if they could draft Gronkowski. I mean,

(02:49):
it's a it's an eight man bench. They could draft
to Gronk. Oh Gronkowski. Oh there you go. Hey, I
took him in a couple of best ball leagues and
four round what the heck? Yeah? Uh, this league. It's
funny as CBS Sports. By the way, you know, you
get those stickers that he's he has a sticker. He

(03:09):
does have a sticker. So yeah, but no one pulled
the trigger. I was a little surprised once again at
the end of the guy you want to it's it's
an eight man bench. You want to put him much
eight man, fine, you know I'll be the first guy
you get rid of. Anyway, one of the go to
get rid of. I didn't have an issue with it,
but no one, no one pulled that trigger to take round.
He was my favorite player, Jim. He was my favorite
playing football. I just like the way he enjoyed life,

(03:30):
enjoyed the playing I've been on since forever. Actually, he
was a big reason I had the best season I've
ever had back in him and Ari and Foster carried
all my teams two wins. I rarely had him because
I I'm not a big belief I had. I didn't
never have. I did have a few times, didn't never.

(03:53):
That doesn't sound like good English, but I don't. I'm
not generally a big believer. It's spending on an early
pick on the tight end. I generally to wait. So
I rarely had him, but had him last year the
league that didn't work out well. Ron. They were speed
to Cron. One of them, the New England reporters for ESPN.
I do not remember which one. I don't. It might

(04:15):
have an Mike Reefe, but I'm not I'm not sure.
But this is about two months ago, they stated this
that if gron did come back, it's likely wouldn't be
for the Patriots, that he's had enough of the elicheck. Uh.
And if it's not for the Patriots, yeah, okay, so
I'm not crazy. Who who would he come back with? Oh?
Anybody who wouldn't want Cronc? Heck could any team in

(04:39):
the league could use Ronc. Maybe not Philadelphia because they're
pretty sold on it. They're too goods Uh, you know, Heck,
Houston could use him. It all goes back and you're
talking about you're talking about a great blocking tight end too,
and we know what he can do catching the ball
when he's fully healthy. So why couldn't Houston has been
dying to find a good tight and that they can

(05:00):
count on, and so far I've had no real no luck.
I mean, you're looking at Ryan Griffin this year. You know,
maybe Warren is the rookie, but you know, he's been injured,
hasn't really been in camp very much, so I don't
see him getting off to a good start. So they
could easily use a tight end too. So right now
Houston should be out there shopping all in every aisle
or there's the supermarket right now Houston needs they need

(05:24):
a running back and go for the high end shopping
of Melvin Gord. They could trade Davian Clowney and now
they need Gronic. We'll talk about coming out of retirement. Uh,
he's gonna be a lot of fun this year. First,
that's a good team too. Uh. They could be a
great team. But this hurts, you know, and I'm I
mean you can do in the NFL journally, some team
goes from worst to first. I looked at all these

(05:47):
last place teams from last year, you know, I mean,
jackson has a shot. They're the only team I can
see doing it, can you? I mean it's something now
that Indianapolis, I don't think they win the division. Now Tennessee,
I'm something not sold on Mariota into a Tannehill as
the quarterback there. Uh, Houston abously, they have their issues.
Now Jacksonville, they would you put them as the favorite

(06:08):
to win that division now? Uh, They're definitely move up
into that conversation. There's no doubt. I'm not sure I
put him as a favorite for anything, but they definitely
move into that competent, you know, conversation. Look, they got
still have a great defense. Didn't play up to what
people expected of them and in fantasy last year, but
they were still a good defense. Um. I expect him

(06:28):
to be really good again this year. Uh if for
next stage sixty games, we know that he gets it
done based on sheer volume alone, because his individual numbers suck. Um.
If you look at it across the board, his numbers
are terrible. UM. But you know he does it just
because he gets so many opportunities in here. Just to

(06:50):
give you a statuate, I love about him, and and
this comes from pro football focus, not for me, folks,
I'm not this intelligent. Um. But among their sixty three
running backs with at least a hundred fifty carries over
the last two years, out of sixty three, from has
ranked in run grade forty nine in yards per carry

(07:13):
and fifty in yards after contact per attempt. UM. So
he's not a great running back. He just does it
on sheer volume. And if he stays healthy enough that
sheer volume would be good enough to give them a
really good running game. UM. So that that is you
know what they need at that point. Folds. He's definitely
an upgrade over Bordles. He's a guy that plays better

(07:36):
in games than he does in practice field. It seems
like because he doesn't show up well in preseason a lot,
he doesn't show up well in practice, gets on the
field and he plays well, so they have the basis
to make that move. I'm just not sure I'm fully
buying in you. I just think out of all the
teams that could possibly do, I think that Jack was
really the only one. I mean, I don't see what

(07:58):
Giants doing it. I don't see Detroit doing it. Uh.
I always looking to Tampa Bay, no, Arizona, no, uh
Jets or who if it's the Jets of Buffalo? What
that we need to give his last No? No, Uh,
I'm gonna give you one. I'm gonna give you one
right now that I think it has a chance and
we'll surprise everybody. And I hate to say it because

(08:20):
I'm a fan, but it's the Giants, look, I know,
and I'm not normally that this guy. Don't normally say that,
but they could surprise. Look, if Dallas doesn't get Zeke in,
let's say what if? I'm sorry totally Apollo. His look good,
you know in so far in preseason, I'm not sure
if that's gonna fully play out in the season, but

(08:41):
we'll see. But it definitely takes a big chunk out
of their office. It does. No matter how good he's
looked in preseason, He's not Zeke. He's not even close.
So that definitely hurts him. Washington and finished above. The
Giants has all kinds of problems already. If they lose
Trent Williams, which it looks like they will, it's apps
You're not gonna help Eric Flowers on that tackle spot.

(09:03):
I mean, I still can't stop laughing. And the fact
that he's still a starting tackle in the NFL is
beyond me. Um. If I were them, I'd I'd bring
me back from retirement over him because he just he's
a swinging gate That just is terrible. Uh So there,
there's there's a lot of things going on in Philadelphia. Okay,
they have a lot of good pieces in place. The

(09:25):
defense should be better, offensive line is getting older, so
but it still should be among the best. They've got
a lot of talented weapons. But if Carson Wentz goes down, now,
what are you looking at? You know, Josh McCown, Nate Sudfeld,
one of these guys as all of a sudden taking
them to the Proms with Land. I can't see it.

(09:45):
The Giants have improved their offensive line, oh excuse me. Uh,
the wide receivers have taken taken a hit, but Sterling
Shepherd is solid. They get golden tape back after week
four and you know Ingram gives them that would right
and of course Barkley. Uh, their defense should be a
little better this year. That's always been the suspect. But

(10:06):
we've seen them before out play what they look like
on paper. And this is a team that I think
has enough pieces they could surprise. I'm not saying it's
gonna happen. I'm just saying they could surprise. Yeah, it's
not happening. There's so many what ifs there. Man. If
I know the whats for that, man, i'd be rich.
Uh Oh, there's like there's no if for your team. No, No,

(10:32):
I don't need that. I don't need to rely on
all Wentz being out. Dallas could be Philadelphia with it
without wins. I don't need to worry without seeing I'm
not so sure Zeke signs he may miss a games.
That wouldn't sin You know again, I agree with you,
But what if we're playing the what if game? Who
can bounce back what they need to bounce play. I

(10:54):
do not play the what if game? All right, Dallas.
Is that the top five defense, top tenant worse in
the in the league, right that their sound all around.
So one or two, one or two injuries can't change
that in a hurry everything you can pay one or
two injuries exactly. That's all I'm saying. The one thing
I've learned about playing fantasy all all I could say.

(11:14):
The one thing I've learned about playing fantasy football all
these years is that you can never say never. If
somebody would have come up to you. If somebody would
have come up to you in Week nine last year
and you had Girly, now you you had Damian Williams,
and they had Todd Gurley and they offered you Girley
for Williams, you would jump all over that in the

(11:35):
heartbeat laugh. You're asked to the bank all the way,
and you would have been wrong. You know what they
call this, Jim, They call us cherry picking. But I'm
saying it happens all the time. We could never say
never in the NFL. You just can't. I didn't say
never I'm a betting guy. I am not bidding the Giants.
I'm not either. You asked somebody that could surprise for

(11:58):
worst to first, it could be the Giants, That's all
I'm saying. No, I didn't. I didn't. I didn't say
surprised a team that could go from works the first,
not a surprise team. Well, they still could go from
work to worst the first. They're not. It's not happening. Sorry,
not having Giant fans. You're just not that good. Your
defense is bad, all right? I agree there in the
you said, And losing golden tape for four games too
is just a crusher because now I don't know what

(12:20):
he'll be there. Giants hater, you, I'm not a Giant,
stay right, Yes you are sound like a Giant. You
should move to Dallas school. No, I'm not. I'm not
the same fan I used to be. There is any team,
but I think it's the job we do. I'm not
the same Cowboy fan. I'm not the same Yankee fan,
not the same Island fan. I'm just not. I think
it's I think it's the job we do. I think

(12:40):
it's getting older as well, when you realize the players
don't care as much the fans do. Not every player.
Some players do, but a lot of players. It literally
is just a job. Wanna lose, Okay, I got paid,
you know, and that that takes him of the enjoyment
out of it. Being a fantasy got a betting guy.
I bet against the Yankees a million times. I mean,
if that's where I think the money is going, I'm

(13:01):
that's I'm gonna get paid. I'll bet against the Yankees.
I don't care. I want to get paid. You know,
I want my fans. I want my fantasy teams to
win a hell of a lot more than I want
the Cowboys to win. Jerry Jones is not sending me
a check. I said, you know, lest I checked my mail. Nothing,
Erry Jones. I want to get paid. If that means rude,
A guess he got ways to lose, I'll win a
thousand dollars. God wasn't good loose. Sorry, this is the
way I know it. That sounds terrible as a fan,

(13:22):
but I like a fan. To me, your fan card
money comes first, man, I said, they're not paying my bills.
Oh that's true. You got that baby boy on the way.
You gotta take care of him. Yeah, I do not
have a baby boy on the way, by the way,
anybody on it's not as far as I know, honey, honey.

(13:44):
Uh So I'm not gonna have that football conversation with him, Jimmy,
So hell be god if I find out later. Hey, look,
I've got it this way. Back to that conversation real quick.
I was thinking about it. You know, if I go
back and thinking my day's playing, I can't tell you
how many times I must have had a concussion and
continued to play and all of that. And I'm still

(14:06):
surprised to this day. I'm half as loose as as
I am, um for because of that. You know, now
they're talking about how, you know, three four concussions and
you know a guy could be done. Hecky, I know
I had that before high school. I had that. So
who knows? What do we call? Day, jim What are
we called when you got hit in the head? Your

(14:28):
bell rung? Yeah? You guys bell wrong? He's all right,
you know, you guys bell. He used to me. Stop,
we'll have the phase. You know, if you give him
a minute, it'll be fine. Get back on the field, right,
give a minute, he'll be fine. Get get back in there,
let's go. I mean, it's it's amazing, how thin, how
things have changed. Right, you were sort of a wind
if you didn't come back in Yeah, exactly right, and

(14:49):
coaches you that absolutely come on, he got got on
the field, he's got a broken leg, he's playing. How
come you can't get out there with a headache? Come on,
get out there. Right, it's amazing, amazing how that's all
changed now. But you're you're at your hundreds. That correctly,
correct on How that's how that's worked. I mean, it's
like smelling salts, guys, I mean it's it's wow, really smelling.

(15:12):
Oh man, yeah right, oh man. I hadn't thought about
that in a long time. Holy crap. Yeah, but anybody
who hasn't had smelling salts, they do wake you up.
I'll tell you that those things are, man, that those
are your whole body. I did not like those things
at all. Not. By the way, if they gave you
smelling salts and you didn't jerk, uh, you're you were dead. Yeah,

(15:37):
the cord is the next phone call. Just just think
of it this way, folks. If you've ever used a
vixen hailer in your life, you know, use that like
by a hundred thousand times. And that was smelling salt.
Smelling salting. Oh, I didn't that. That brings back some
bad memories. Smellings faults. I did not like those at all.

(15:58):
But that that's the that's literally dead games ago. I
haven't seen that, seen those in a long time. They
still don't use them all, at least nothing out in
the public open now. On the football sides, I'm as
a cowboy fan. Remember Roger Star back then giving him
to him yetter he got dgged a thousand times and uh,
you know, and I remember one time he didn't jerk.
I was like, oh, that's not good. That's not good
at all. And Roger stopping ends up retiring early because

(16:20):
of the other head hits, you know. Epan retired early
because of the head of Steve Young retired early because
of the head hits, you know, and uh, you know,
you made me back there. Andrew Luck is really not
the head hits. It seems to be more an overall
body lie, an injury thing where he just didn't want
to take it anymore. Still a shame, but he didn't
want to take it anymore. So anyway, let's go through
to Ezekiel Elliott. I know and standing we're coming up

(16:41):
against the break here, but we'll get a little a
little bit on Ezekiel Elliott. Uh do you think you
mentioned this on the Frenzy on Friday that you had
him seventh in your rankings? Now does he keep going
down the longer he holds out for I mean, does
he keep going down your rankings? And where's the point
of no return for you? Like I gotta take him?
I keeping I'm going to well right now? Yeah, he

(17:05):
he will continue to slide a little bit the longer
he stays he's in Cambo Cabo. Um. You know, if
he comes back to Dallas and he's in Dallas, then
he won't slide as as much because I figured they've
got to be working on it. Look, I fully expect
to be back to but at this point there is
a chance he can miss maybe week one, week two.
I just don't know. If it happens, we'll talk about

(17:26):
it more on the other side. Maurice Allen two thousand

Fantasy update George in Rex, Jim and I are participating
in the Cool Squad Thursday Night that's through UH with
Chris Venture the listeners on the Fantasy Football Frenzy Show,
and I just found in the draft order I have.

(20:54):
Oh okay, oh, I think be in your choice. That's
way I dont have to worry about kill Elliott. Uh
so that's not I'm not gonna ask you're gonna pick.
We know you're gonna get great running back no matter
what you do. Probably I would assume you're gett Kamara.
But yeah, I'm sure you would, uh get I'll get

(21:16):
to that a second though. But okay, so I was
we were talk about Ezekiel Elliott, all right. Uh, I
don't want to take him at I already have him
in the other the other league we're in, the Frenzy League.
Also drafted him in the league, but we'll call it
the Pitt League. I like that better, Pitt League. I
I took him with five, and I could have got

(21:36):
him last night my home league, Jim, and I wasn't
doing it just in case, as you said, he does
miss a week or two or the soft tissue injury,
uh sort of thing there. So I don't want to
take too many chances. Fifth pick. I assume once again
Kamara McCaffrey Barkley all gone. I already have David Johnson

(21:58):
two leagues now, and I want to take him to
the third league. If he fools, I get undo in
a league. I don't think. If you got that concerned,
you go with the wide receiver. That's what I tell
everybody if you're worried about those running backs in that range. Personally,
I love David Johnson. I've been grabbing them everywhere. If
not David Johnson, it's James Conner. But if you're not
really sold on any of them, then grab DeAndre Hopkins

(22:20):
or grab Davante big Items, whoever is your number one
wide receiver at that point. Because you're you're solid there
at that point. You could always make the running backs
up later on. If you're really that concerned, don't get
boiled down into thinking at that point, oh, I gotta
take a running back here at five or at six,
you don't, you know, Grab that top wide receiver on

(22:41):
your list and roll with it. It's a nice safe pick.
You get away from a lot of that guardia but
of worrying about these running backs, and you don't have to,
So I absolutely recommend if you're that worried about it,
go away from it. Grab a wide receiver. That's great advice.
And I've had the eighth pick. I probably follow that.
I find on taking running back. I like David Johnson's Well.
My only issue is I in my last two drafts,

(23:03):
I've gotten David Johnson. He fell to eleven in one league,
and I got him yesterday too. I forget where Uh
you know, I'm I'm a David Johnson believer. Eleven. I
take David Johnson eleven and a heartbeat super flex league.
That's why I fell. Uh. I was surprised, mind you.
And there were some people not like you don't don't believe.
Let's get home league wasn't an exercent league. They don't

(23:25):
listen in the home league. You say, oh David Johnson
Arizona card was blah, suck that thing. So I wasn't surprised.
He felt, you know, this was not far from the next.
But a couple of guys know what they're doing. A
couple of guys don't you know me? Home lea. Yeah,
that's a money league. It's a heavy money league. But
you better have about every Every money league needs donators. Yes,

(23:45):
I agree, I like donations, donations. I'm a big believer
in this gym twelve team league. This is any league expert, Uh,
you know, home leaguer or whatever. Three teams they get
eliminated by injuries. Yeah, I'm one injury. You got crushed.
You have your team and on the the I R.
And that's what you've done. You know. So we already
eliminate three teams. You can eliminate another two to three teams. Yeah,

(24:08):
even an expert leagues, they just didn't pay attention, they
didn't make the right moves. They were always behind. You know,
they're playing a hundred and fifty leagues and forgot that
sort of thing. Leagues. Yeah, I don't understand those people. Man,
don't they have a line? Uh? Isn't it? They literally
play fantasy baseball? Um. So I always believe Jim that
I just need to avoid being the injury guy. And

(24:29):
there's really no way you can avoid it. Just don't
take a whole bunch of I guess injury prone players.
But if I could avoid being the injury guy, I've
only got to beat out five or six other guys.
I'm a big believer in that. Just gonna avoid being
the injury guy. Well, look I look at it slightly differently.
When I go into a draft, the one thing I
always feel pretty confident is is I'm not going to

(24:51):
be in the bottom six, so all I gotta do
is beat five. Others see the same the same way.
I agree. Uh, do you have a rival even if
they don't know their arrival? Do you have somebody? And
you playing leagues? I'm not saying every league, but that
he realized, Damn, I never beat this guy. Not what
it matters. Maybe you know who you finished eighth and
he finished and he finished ninth. Yeah, you beat him,

(25:12):
but it didn't matter. Is there anybody out there a name? Yeah?
There is actually, and there's one that's on this network
that for some reason, he's got my number, and that's
Mr Adam roynas Um. He's always tough for hilarious. He's
a great draft or he's a great fantasy player. And
for some reason, I have a lot of issues playing
against Adam Ronas. I guess who mine is? Uh, Tony Sincotten, No,

(25:39):
that's Adam, Sorry, Tony, the same guyon He's good, He's
no doubt about it. He is good. He's he plays
his game well. He's not somebody who just talks about it.
He plays his game well. A lot of guys out
there to talk about it don't play the game. Well.
I've told Adam, I'm sure I beat him in the

(26:00):
leagues where it once again, I finished eighth, he finished night.
Who cares? But when it ever came down to where
it was important, I've always I've lost the playoffs to him.
He's always fished a head of be in baseball. It's uh,
it's frustrating. I doubt he cares, but it's first training
to me. That's once I want to be a finished
ahead of been a league mattered. You know it's been.
Uh it makes me. I told that, I'm miss I
don't know why. You know, I know why. He's a
very good player, but uh, you know, even in matches

(26:23):
where I thought I had to be the advantage, he
always comes out ahead. Uh just pisses me off. Really, Actually,
this makes me mad. You know, it's always always somebody
you Uh you can't you have trouble beating How are
you Jim? Once again, I always like Jim asking Jim
these crushers. He plays in a lot of leagues, so
he has a better, uh a better overall view than I.
Would think just about anybody. I think from when you

(26:44):
and I first started playing, the big changes trading right. So, um,
I guess a two part question to you. I'm assuming
in a lot of leagues you're playing, you don't see
as many trades as you used to, and be are
you one of these guys who believes that trading pretty much?
You'd be out well because you know, you want to
avoid the collusion and the idea of trades that do
happen here. How do you feel about trading in general?
I love to trade, Um, I absolutely do. Um. So

(27:07):
you know, I do play a lot of leagues, but
a lot of them are free leagues, just because I
love to draft and have fun with it. And it's
really hard to have fun in a money league. You know,
maybe in a friends money league you can have fun
because you can get on each other all the time,
but you know, to play in money leagues against guys
you don't know and stuff really doesn't hold a lot
of appeal to me because it's still fun to me,

(27:30):
and that isn't fun. Uh. You know, you can't trade
in those In most of those leagues things like that,
there's very little interaction, you know, I don't really find
that as much fun. I know, you know, when I
play those leagues, I'm in it to win it, and
that's what I'm doing. But for me, I much prefer,
you know, leagues that are more casual, maybe even free,

(27:51):
where you have people talking trash and you can make
trades whatever you do. Uh, nobody's really grumbling about anything
because there's no money on a line. To me, that's
just more the pure fun of fantasy football. UM don't
get me wrong. I play in plenty of money leagues,
and um as cut throat as they come when they
get into money league. But you know, for me, I

(28:12):
love to trade, and I love leagues where I can trade,
and I trade all the time. It's just it's one
thing I does over the years. Though I mean, trades
are I think it's it's it's actually your fault. It's
my fault. It's because of what we do. People are
so afraid to trade. They're so afraid that if they
make a trade, Jim Day is now going what were
you thinking? You're an idiot? How could you do this?

(28:35):
You know the solution that be, But be by the way,
maybe you want to get in touches before you make
a trade. If you worried about what we're gonna say,
which means you told us somehow, then about asking us
about the trade. We'll give you our opinion. Yeah, but
I think people are so afraid now when I ever, like,
I'm not gonna say every offer, but probably two thirds
of the offers I get now are just insulting. And
if you insult me, I'm not I'm not even giving
you a reply back. I'm sorry, I'm not in my

(28:56):
mind you have no interest, then you're looking at rit
me off. If you be an offer, I understand it's
a solid offer, maybe not your best offer, but then
we can negotiate, we can have fun. And when we
work on our trade. But you insult me, Jim, I
just lose. I lose interest. I judge this is interest
in the trade. And I find that mostly trade offers
I get someone's looking to rip me off because they
don't want to hear it. They don't want to hear
from Jim Day that you were You're an idiot, you

(29:18):
made a terrible deal. They're hoping that they can be
on the others. Okay, I'll be the idiot, and that's
annoys me to no end. Yeah, I'm with you. I
don't love those kind of offers either. You know, God
guy coming up with some you know, crazy thing. He
give me sixteen pieces from my one stud. You know,
I don't care about the sixteen little pieces. I'll take
the stud, thank you very much. Um, you know, and
the thing the ones I love for the guys to

(29:41):
send you the offer. Yeah, you get back to him
saying no, that's really not for me, and then they
try to tell you how much better it is for
your team. Well, thank you. I can do my own analysis.
I appreciate your help though, and I'll take that under advisement,
but um, shut up. Um, don't don't try and convince
me how much this helps my team. I can do

(30:02):
that on my own. That those are the ones that
really get me. I'm with you there. Thanks, Thanks. I
think I might know about fantasy. I think I realized
what my team is. Yeah, I don't need you to
convince me. I don't. I don't mind you trying a
little bit. And that's part of the game we play here.
But don't go overboard. If if I'm a flat note,
it's a flat note, believe me. If I'm interested in
the deal, you'll get it. You'll get a negotiation for me.

(30:23):
I measured Matt Deutsch. He gave me an offer that
was fair. Granted I don't need the players he was
offering me because I'm strong at those positions, but the
orfer was fair. So I did give him a counter
and we'll see what how it goes from there and
we can work something out. You know, but if you actually,
if you insold me Jim, I just get like really, because,
like I said, if I'm gonna trade with Jim Day,
you know the first thing I'm gonna do before I
even told to Jim's look at Jim's team. Okay, Jim,

(30:46):
he's he's got great running backs, forget about it. I'm
not gonna but he's weak at wide receiver. Okay, so
maybe I I have extra white receivers. I can work
this in. I need a run receiver. Which league are
you looking at? It's League eight two night h But
the idea is, I'm looking at your teeth and this
way I'm gonna get Jim interest. I'm not gonna offer
Jim and running back. He's got eighteen running backs and
they're all great. He doesn't need one, and I'm not

(31:08):
gonna make Jim my best offer. I'm not, but I'm
not gonna insult him other anybody way. This goes home.
I'm this goes for regular people too. I don't want
to sell anybody in my home leagues. I'll make it,
I'll sound it over. It's probably not my best offer.
Less I'm gonna time cunch, but a solid offer to
get Jim's interest and then Jim, really they come back
to the okay or now you know I'm not looking
to deal. And if Jim says you're not looking a deal,
I move on. I'm not gonna pest thee him or

(31:28):
anybody else. I'm just I'm not that kind of guy.
But if he gives me back, he may say, Okay,
I've reather that this because then we have we have
a conversation now and now we maybe we can work
something out. Maybe we can't. That's just the way I said.
I don't want to insult anybody, Jim, especially anybody in
the industry. Like insulting you would be idiotic. Oh yeah,
maybe Jim's a Maybe Jim's drinking today and yes twice
by accident. That's what I feel like people are hoping

(31:49):
for I missed you by a day. Damn. Um. Yeah,
I was drinking some nice McAllen eighteen year uh blended
uh ingle vault last night. It was nice. Um. So
let's see during during the auction to which made it
even more fun than one with all this luck news
hit it was kind of interesting. Actually, um I am.

(32:12):
I am what you call a very fair trader. When
I make an offer, I have absolutely you know, gone
over your roster, gone over my roster, picked out a
couple of pieces I think can help you, and picked
out a couple of pieces on your team that I
think can help me. The reason I do this is
more often than not, people's first reaction if I offer

(32:32):
them a trade is oh crap, what does Jim know
that I don't know? He does this for a freaking living. Um,
So I can't trade with Jim. He knows something I
don't know. So I've become a much more fair trader
because I want those trades in the future, and I
want people to fee feel comfortable being able to trade
with me, know that, knowing that I'm not going to
rake them over the coals. So I am always offering

(32:54):
a trade I think can help you as much as
it helps me. I really don't start from it anywhere else.
The guys that to come to me with all the
crazy offers, and I mean really off the wall offers.
Uh offer me a backup running back in a uh
wide receiver three for a start running back. Things like that,
I usually turn around and offer them, uh, you know,

(33:14):
one of my players for basically their entire team, and
throw that back at them, just to say, hey, look, idiot,
this this is you know you want to make stupid offers,
here's one for you. Um so, yeah, I'm with you
on that. I'm not a big fan of that kind
of stuff. People, you know, don't overvalue your own players
and then come to me and tell me how great

(33:35):
they are for me. It's but I don't even go
without what you started talking about, you know, if you're
gonna make back. Uh yeah, I mean it's frustrating if
you want to close off trade talks real quick when
you offer something like that, I would even I wouldn't
even be a small as like you are and give
a reply back. I just you know, I'm too busy here,
I ain't got I ain't got time to this. I

(33:56):
just don't have time for a trade offers make something
I can and I said, I never expect your best
trade off from I understand what we're going to play
the negotiation game here. Wow wow, Okay, just to throw
this out there real quick, something you might want to
talk about on the next show. But early numbers out
of Vegas have colts wind total dropping from nine point

(34:17):
five to six point five. Yeah, that that's something they'd be.
It's funny. We were doing it yesterday came and on.
We did for every team in the NFL yesterday before this, Uh,
neither one of us was touching Indianapoleis. We were leaving
it alone. We knew it would dropped. I didn't know
whould dropped three games. That's a heavy drop. That. Uh,

(34:39):
that is something you're absolutely right him and I will
be discussing that. Uh wow. I mean, you know, I
almost forgotten about the luck thing. You depressed me again
now looking the leak, we will listen. I know you
have been a bunch of leaks soup. But yes, well
we'll definitely be discussing that. I don't think there's any
doubt we'll be discussing that all right, next topic, Antonio,

(35:00):
we don't we sometimes we don't discuss as much on
a fantasy frenzy. So Jim Day, Uh, Antonio Brown, you're
feeling better about Brown? I assume he he had his hearing. Uh,
I was gonna say yesterday Friday. I assume he's gonna
lose that hearing. Uh, Corny to Drew Rosenhouse. It doesn't
matter when I lose. He'll be there, you know. I
think Drew drewsy that's the plan right now. Plans can change.

(35:20):
Hopefully he shows him all right, he doesn't get too
angry and decides it throw furniture obviously over roof again
Antonio Brown, I mean, I assume you have been some
names already. How would you treat for guys who are
drafting him tonight? What are you doing? Would you take
Antonio Brown? Yeah, it really comes down to where he
falls too, And there's no doubt about it. Everybody has

(35:42):
value at some point in the draft. But I am
a little put off about him. Look, it's not even
so much him. I think he'll be there. He'll be
playing in some helmet or another. Heck, maybe they he'll
he'll try and get somebody to uh disguise his helmet
to make it look like one of the approvements. I
don't know what to do, but he'll be on the field.
My problem is more how much time he's missed, you know,

(36:03):
in preseason training camp because of the feet, because of
the helmet. You know, when you're working with a new
offense and a new quarterback, you need time on the field,
and that bothers me. So again, I think he might
get off to a slow start. But then again, as
I said on the Frenzy, if he gets off to
a slow start, a savvy owner would then try and
swoop in and see if you can get him on
the cheap, because I think he'll definitely get better as

(36:26):
the season goes on. Guys too good not to Okay,
America's favorite game show. What would Jim do? Brown or
Keenan Allen? Right now, I'll go Keenyan Allen. Absolutely love
him in this uh, especially with Tyrean Williamss gone, Keenan
Allen is gonna suck up a lot of targets. Agreed.

(36:48):
I did that last night. Actually took it. Took Allen
over Brown, h Brown or Marie Cooper who hasn't you
know what? At this point, I'm gonna stick with Brown
because Mary Cooper has been missing time now with the
foot injury as well. And while he did come in
last year and have a couple of good games, he
had a couple of games that weren't so good. I
do expect him to bounce back, but this foot injury

(37:09):
is starting to bother me. I agree. I would take
Brown as well. Mr Kopa Brown or Edelman? Uh oh
man um, Yeah, that's tough. I like Edelman just because
he's got that safe four. Brown's definitely got a higher ceiling.
But I think I'd go with Edelman. But I'd be
back and forth, feeling last one, feeling easy. All right,

(37:36):
it's a good little who thinks out of mere big
point with him. Jim Day, George GURTs, we can fancy update.

it is here. Uh. Jim, by the way, once again,
we I thank you very much. You've covered for me

(41:05):
on the month. Vocals you've covered for from Mike Joe. Uh.
And I know weekends of pain. You know, everybody has
stuff they want to do here, but certainly appreciate you've
made our life a lot, especially gorgeous Sunday morning we
have here in New York. Yes, it is a little cool.
You can feel a football in there, can't you feel
it a little bit? Oh? I love it. Yesterday today
is this is my perfect weather. Give me, give me

(41:27):
high sixties, low seventies, and I'm in heaven. I agree.
It's funny when yeah, when it comes to football, gym,
when he comes to baseball, I played baseball. She played nice,
sunny weather hot, you know, that's when it's good football.
On the opposite, man, I watching football when it's sunny out,
I'm like, oh, you know, I like little at least
a little great clouds like play at least in grayness.
I prefer snow and rain and mud and all that stuff.

(41:49):
But uh yeah, it just has to be a mess.
It just has to be a little bit of a mess.
So I like that. Even though nowadays they tend to
delay the games and anything in lane got the bid
we should blame when the weather is rough here, you
see the delay games if it's thunder and lightning lightning,
But speak of lightning, did you see the golf? I
don't know what tournament it was. I'm not a big guy.

(42:09):
I don't watch much god, but uh bolt hit the
course and uh injured some fans. I think it hit
a hit a tree. I guess the splinters and the
tree some fans. They have a video. No, I did
not see that. Yeah. I just mean while the NFL
is saying, and you wonder why we delayed games. Yeah,
you're right, I get it. It's just that, you know,

(42:32):
I just get annoyed. You know, Uh what was that
one game? Wasn't was it the last year? The game
in Miami? That was it started at one and end
of eight thirty? Yeah? Right, yeah that was. But hey,
you gotta be prudent. You gotta be safe when it
comes to fans. I mean, if if a fan gets
hurt because they got hit by lightning in the stadium,

(42:52):
and man, there's so many repercussions from that, it isn't funny.
Oh no, I agree, safety does come first. I want
to say, I'm annoyed. Uh you know, it's still safety
comes first. I'm well, I'm I'm the guy who believes
him of player safety. But I I want eighteen. I
want an eighteen game schedule too, because I want to
kill them. In the February. I hate the month of February.

(43:13):
You know, football has just ended. You know, it's and
ends of the first week of the you know, Super
Bowl of the first Sunday in February. It's the coldest
month of the year. It's miserable in Northeast Youn. You
can't barely go out. Valentine's Days is in February. Every
guy gets screwed. Uh, and not a good way. And
in February. So you know you have two well weeks now,
I killed them at the February. It gives me a
little closer to baseball, so I'd be very happy with it.

(43:35):
With an eighteen game schedule. That's when I start my
fantasy football dress. Yes, I know, believe me. I see
them on Twitter over time. Jim's gonna have a draft
Master today. It's you know it's about I mean, I
literally I started my first draft for nineteen the day
after the Super Bowl. I'm not surprised. So not surprised. There.

(43:58):
Do you you met your year with draft of five
clock today? Correct? Yes, I have drafted five o'clock today. OK.
What kind of league? Uh? It's a uh, it's actually
a pretty decent money online Championship league. Nice, so we
know what Jim will be doing you at five o'clock today. Uh,
now you mentioned before you you joked that you go

(44:19):
in the goon squad league on Thursday night, you gonna
take the homes at three? I'm bait once again. If
you were in one league, or it's a couple of leagues,
are you're going he would ever take my homes in
round three? W whears ADPs? Are you? Are you a
believer waiting for a quarterback? Well? You know, because I
play in so many leagues, I absolutely do most of

(44:40):
the time wait for a quarterback. But there have been
a couple of those leagues where I wanted to shift
it up and go different, and there's a couple of
them to night. I do have my homes that I
grabbed in the third. Look, he is what he is.
That kid had an amazing season. On next year more
than likely doesn't reach the same numbers he had last year.
But even if he only has if he has a regression,

(45:02):
we're still looking at four thousand yards and forty touchdowns,
which probably puts him at the top of the heap. Again.
So you know, I'm not really worried about him. He
definitely represents value. He could absolutely be the top scoring
quarterback again. So you know, I don't have any problem
with it. If somebody wants to do it, if that's
their only league, especially if they got money on it,
why not grab the best quarterback in the league and

(45:24):
run with it. I mean, you lost number two or
three in luck. You know Watson, that out old line
is losing people that just lost Lamar Miller. You know,
if they don't really make up for that, then he's
got a drop in fantasy drafts. So you know, at
this point he could clearly have that early rung tier
all to himself. Okay, I'll switch up to the tight end.

(45:46):
We've seen Travis Kelsey go. We we know the first
round in some leagues. Here, I use somebody in the
majority leagues who would do that. Would you take Kelsey maybe?
Would you take Kelsey around one? Would you take Arts
at the end of round two, round three? Kittles? Same thing?
Or do you wait on height end as well in
a majority of your leagues majority of my league's I wait, um.
In some leagues I've waited too long, But in most leagues,

(46:07):
I wait, um. But I have taken Kelsey. I'm a
little off Earth's this year, just because of the fact
that how much they're talking about they want to use Goddard,
and I really like Goddard. I think he's gonna be
a future star in this league. So the fact that
they're talking about it and they're getting them involved already.
He's had a good off season in preseason, I think

(46:28):
it's gonna cut a little bit into Earth, So I
wouldn't go out of Highers Earth. And we've actually seen
Earth's drop into the fifth and six rounds in some
drafts now, so he's definitely fallen. Kittle. I don't think
it's gonna fall as far, just because, look, the wide
receiver corps isn't coming together as much as they want.
You know, early in the preseason they said they were
gonna get rid of uh Golden Goldwin. Uh Marky's Golden Goodwin. Damn.

(46:52):
I couldn't get that out of my mouth. Mark He's Goodwin.
Now all of a sudden, he's a starter. Um Dante Pettis.
You know, everybody coming into the season thought he was
gonna be there number one and go to guy, and
he's had a terrible off season, yet he still seems
to be their starters. So while they're you know, entrenches
their starters right now, none of them have really showcased

(47:14):
much to stand out, and that scares me. So I
could see Kittle just getting as much use as as
he got last year, just based on the fact that
he could very well be the best receiver they have
on that team right now. So I'm not worried about Kittles.
So I have Kittle too, behind Kurt behind uh Kurt's
and Art's a little Kelsey and Hurts a little while later. Uh,

(47:38):
So I have no problem taking Kelsey that really, he
definitely gives you a definitive edge. In my projections, I
have him at fifty points higher than any other tight
end this year, so I definitely believe in him. And
that that one draft I told you about that I
grabbed mahomes and three a couple of weeks ago, I
grabbed Kelsey and one actually grabbed Damian Williamson too too.

(48:01):
I wanted to see what the Casey stack would do,
but I did do that, So I can't say I
would never with the majority of the year league you're playing,
imagine you've done but every possible strategy. I have draft.
I just draft. I just drafted a league the other night,
where my caveat going into the league was I was
gonna draft to play players I had on no other

(48:23):
no other leagues, and it really turned out to be
quite hard, but I did it. I don't draft anywhere else.
Let's talk about that for a second. Give me some
of your players that I understand, and you know you're
gonna you're gonna have every player, but that generally you
don't want and give me. Give me some players and

(48:44):
the reasons why. Okay, let's see you go right off
the top. I mean four Nett always always tops that
list for me. I don't normally draft him. Look, I
I know he could have given sixteen years, could be
a top running back in the league based on sheer volume,
But I just don't think he's a good running back.
And I just won't buy it. Between you know, the
injury history and the idiocy injury. I've stayed away pretty

(49:06):
much all um. I haven't grabbed a lot of Levian
Bell this year just because he's going too early for me.
I just don't Look. I know he's a good running back.
I get all that. It's more of the offense. That
worries me more than Bell does, So I worry about that. Uh,
let's see some other guys. I'm trying to go through
the top of my head. Melvin Gordon I've absolutely stayed

(49:26):
away from just because I am concerned he sits up
a good part of the year unless they do make
a trade. I'm trying to think of some other names here. Uh.
I don't normally grab Stefon Diggs. I think he's too
up and down. Uh He's you know, all over the board.
He'll give you some great weeks, but he'll give you
some weeks where he just absolutely disappears. Uh. Let's see. Um,

(49:48):
I'm a little off Robert Woods this year just because
I think with Cup coming back, I think Woods takes
a big hit. And then the other one. Man, I
was just thinking of Robert Woods and uh, wells man,
I had another one in my head that was a
perfect example, and now I just went out. Sorry, guys,
trying to go through this real quick. D J. Moore,

(50:09):
I I don't look, I think he's gonna be a
good wide receiver. I'm just not betting on him where
where his current a DP is coming from. Much rather
have Curtis Samuel later h good five or six rounds
later in some cases, and I just think overall he's
much better value rather have a shot at that. UM
who else did we include? Uh? Austin Ekeler is being

(50:36):
overvalued in my eyes right now, coming up too high,
so I won't take I haven't taken much of him.
Tarik coh and I haven't taken much of him. Um
D D. Westbrook. I haven't taken much of him because
he got off to a bad start in preasing but
in O t A s and training camp. But he's
really starting to come on lately, so that might change

(50:58):
in the later drafts. I might have some investment in him.
Corey Davis is another one I just won't draft, going
too high for me in that offense. Now they're talking
about maybe Tannehill starting, so there's definitely quite a few people.
Sammy Watkins is another one. I just can't stay healthy
long enough to really put up a great season. Has
a couple of good games, but that's about it. Uh

(51:18):
So that that's a good core. But there's definitely a
lot of guys I could name. Yeah, I can see
I'm not gonna enjoy being a drafting anywhere near you
on thurs because you and I are in the same wavelength.
I think. Uh, I might have only decreed one player
you name there. I'm not gonna tell you who it is. Uh,
But other than that, I was pretty much humble with
everybody else do you named? As far as players, I'm
not big on either. So you said you have three,

(51:39):
I have five with me two spots a wave from
each each other. That's not going to be enjoyable. I
never like to draft anyway near Scott angle eid because
he and I always thought the same too, so I
knew he was gonna steal some of my players. Uh,
you know, be pencil I call him pencil breakers. When
somebody snipes you over and over again. I don't get
mad once, you know, not the three or four times,
and then then I called pencil breakers because it's just
annoys time. I'll tell you my biggest My best experience

(52:03):
with Scott angle was back in eleven. We did that
Fantasy Football Expert Expo down in Atlantic City, and we
did a live draft for serious Um on air right
there at the expo. And I had never met Scott before.
I had worked with him a couple of times. I
had talked to him on you know phone a couple

(52:23):
of times. We've never met him in person. And we
ended up sitting right next to each other for the draft.
And my experience was every single time somebody in the
draft said the word ball, football, ball, any any combination,
Scott would lean over to me and go he said,
Paul d He said ball every single freaking time for

(52:46):
their draft. And if you go back, you know I've
gone back and listened to the taping of it, you
can always hear me in the background say cut it out, Scott,
cut it out. We're on air, cut it out. Um. So, yeah,
it was kind of funny. We had a great time there.
But yeah, that was my real introduction to to Scott
Angle as I know him today. I mean, I I

(53:09):
enjoyed with Scott and he was he was a lot
of fun to work with. I mean I was there
when he was was kiss Regalia back when we were
on the show. I'm like, oh my god, he is
this crazy? Uh he he He dressed up as a
referee once to do a show and because he found
he found out that I you know, ref hockeys, goes, oh,

(53:29):
bring a referee to up and bring a yellow flag
every time I didn't like something that he said, I
had to throw the flag, and I say, oh my god,
this is this is nuts. But the thing about Beavis
and butt head pull, he said, Bull, that's that's him
in befone. He used to do that all the time.
You know, those two together. So yeah, that that's so Scott.
This is do that during a draft. Uh god, plus

(53:51):
uh he said, Bull, Oh god, um god, I mean
really all right? Uh so, yeah, you're gonna be a
problem for me on Thursday. I don't. But I don't
like guys who are in the same way like this man,
like guys who obviously they are gonna be worried about
the players or a light players. I don't because then
they might you might take them. Who's but you know
who's between us? I don't anymore closely, email hold one,

(54:14):
let me see if I can find. It's probably a
fan anyway, so it wouldn't matter. Actually I got a
right there between Yeah, big time or Steve is in
between us, all right, so we'll see Steve does Uh,
Steve is a pretty contractor. I'll throw some wrenches into
our game. And it's as a start a regularly like,

(54:35):
so pretty much our standard leader is we didn't make
a super Oh it's twelve team. Did you go super flex?
He originally said four team, and you know, and I
thought that was a bad idea. Go, let's face it,
A couple of teams are not gonna have quarterbacks at all. Yeah,
we're gonna be definitely talking back into the super flex
in the twelve team or I agree, absolutely problems. I
think Chris is out in the first couple of days
next week. We may not see him until Thursday, which

(55:01):
is the night of the draft. Supposedly, all right there,
we'll be football friends at Jim Dana, Uh, well, we
will be doing it. I don't know if I'm hosting.
I don't know if we're gonna have another host. Uh,
we'll see. We'll see what comes up to there, but
we'll we're doing what the a f C West this week, Jim,
I don't know. I just look at it a couple
of minutes before the show and see what team he
wants to talk about. This is you're ahead of me.

(55:23):
I ac resually don't look at all. I think I'm
pretty sure that's the only division we haven't done I'm
not a hundred percent sure here, but I know we've
done did the Jets because I couldn't remember that. So
we did the East because I could remember the Jets
finished last last year. I remember talking about Pittsburgh. I think,
trying to look really quick, we couldn't be the entire

(55:43):
a f c. Um. I'm pretty sure it's the West.
I think the West. Yeah, I'm not at home, but
I don't think we did the NFC West either. I
thought we were right on target to fish food the
seed starts. I'm not He's no he we did the NFC.
We did because we went overall. You know, well, we
did the world our World Series are stuper Bowl picks

(56:04):
and stuff like that. We did do the entire NFC.
I remember doing that. So I'm just not so sure
what division with you next week. You'll find out on Monday.
Everybody will be surprised that the rest of us. So

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
