Hey, I'm Kelly, and some of you may know me
as Laura Winslow and I'm Telma, also known as Aunt Rachel.
If those names ring a bell, then you probably are
familiar with the show that we were both on back
in the nineties called Family Matters.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Kelly and I have done a lot of things and
played a lot of roles over the years, but both
of us are just so proud to have been part
of Family Matters.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Did you know that we were one of the longest
running sitcoms with a black cast? Now, that is pretty impressive,
It sure is. When we were making the show, there
were so many moments filled the joy and laughter and
cut up that I will never forget.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Oh girl, you got that right.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Show You're a trouble mane.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I'm a hotster. But Mother Winslow she's number one on
that list. I'll be number two.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I know that's right.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
The look that you all give me is so black.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
All black people know about the look.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
You know.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Many of the folks from the show are still in
touch to this very day. But Kelly and I, Shah,
we talk all the time.

Speaker 6 (00:59):
So we started thinking that it would be fun to
get together and talk about what it was like to
make family matters.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
On each episode of Welcome to the Family, we'll share
personal reflections about making the show, our favorite episodes and
wacky characters and all that good crazy stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah, we'll even bring in part of the cast and
some other special guests to join in the fun and
spill some tea.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Waldo kind of came about because I was throwing it away.
I didn't care. I'm like, what did you y'all do
with it?

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Paul Winslow was the father I wanted to have for
my own, who loved his family and wanted to show
the world that I loved my family.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So consider this your official invitation to become part of
our family.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
That's right.
