Speaker 1 (00:00):
Thank you guys for listening to the wife versus the expert.
I am the expert. She is the wife. I have
so much more of an identity than wife. I was
a very accomplished woman long before you, so I should
be Uh, boss, you are Mrs Rice. Boss you Mrs Rice,
(00:24):
accomplished woman, you are all that. But you are the expert.
But you are Mrs Rice. Or you need to like
let go of your former life at all. No, no,
you might go your former life like you still want
to be. I'm part Houston. No you're not your right.
No you're not. You're a Rice s. Your name is changed.
Your name is changed. I had a whole identity before
(00:46):
I got married, and I instill that person. Now it's
upgraded and better. Like she's got some problem actually. First
of all, thank you guys for watching the wife versus
the expert. Uh. Please make sure you share with the friend.
Hopefully you guys enjoy it. And make is that a finger?
Oh no, I thought you only have one finger? Up.
I was like, what are you doing? Like flipping you off?
(01:10):
That could happen, hope. Please make sure you share with
a friend. Tell a friend about the wife first, the
expert hopefully that you guys enjoy. Subscribe to the YouTube channel,
download the podcast. Find her on Twitter at Denisia Danielle.
You probably won't find her there, but that's true. I
tweet sometimes. I don't tweet eighty two times a day
like you, but I tweet, and I'm at George Rice Stir. Uh.
(01:34):
So she, in case you don't know, it's very accomplished businesswoman.
All this me former NFL than a lot of things
after UM as well. So yeah, so we're talking about
things that hopefully that you guys engage some discussion in
and all of that stuff as well. So the first
thing I think wasn't even on the topic schedule, But
(01:57):
we're talking about changing names because she was, Oh, I'm
Denisia Danielle Houston, and now she's Denisia Danielle Rights. No,
actually sorry, she was Danielle Houston. Now she's Denisia Rice Stir,
the whole complicated story. No, that's always I was always
Denisia Danielle Houston. The problem is nobody was gonna hire
(02:21):
Denisia when I was getting a job twenty years ago.
So my friend who works in HR told me to
go by my middle name guess what. Less than a
week later, I had three interviews and a job using Danielle,
which is my name. I don't like to have Denisia
and Danielle in certain situations, but it is what it is.
Born in the seventies whatever. So now I am Rice
(02:45):
Stir because society says I have to change my last name. No,
the Good Book says, you come on in with your man,
and the book says a lot of things. Mr. The
Good Book says a lot out of things. Okay, yes,
and those are the things that we do and live
by your life. So but there are some women that
(03:08):
you know don't change their last last name. But I'm like,
even Beyonce. It's like, yo, I'm miss Carter so exactly.
So she like, actually she says Beyonce Knowles Carter. No,
yes she does she no, she says no, she don't.
Never she never says Beyonce and her last name. She
(03:30):
just says usually actually says Beyonce exactly. But she's that's
what I'm gonna just you just put Denisha versus the expert.
But then she's good. But then she also says I'm
missus Carter, Like with I am Mrs riser. I am,
but that's not all of who I am. Stop trying
to hold on. Your name is not changing again. It
(03:51):
already changed. You're you're no longer that you are. You
are a rice. We could change things. I can always
change that. Can't change your damn name. You can't how
to change your name. You're gonna be without a husband.
You ain't going nowhere to cut it out. She already
know she already know what. When we were getting married,
(04:13):
I was trying to have a dialogue about this whole
name change thing, and he was like, listen, I didn't
wait this long to give somebody my last name for
that person to not even want it. And I was like, fine,
see how I am. See how amenable and agreeable I am. Yeah,
(04:35):
everybody knows you says that exactly. No, yeah, so, but
it's just I get that there are sometimes in business
you don't have to change your name. Oh, I do get.
When you are an actor, your business some sometimes that
keeping it for your work like almost like having a
stage name. But you still should change your name, like
(04:57):
legally yes, But when it comes Kim Cardad, Kim Kardashian West,
that's because she didn't have been through like fifty dude,
So like, that's not true. Friends, three husbands, say whatever
you want to say about her, But that girl built
her identity, her empire, and her name is associated with that.
(05:20):
Kanye is her husband. So she's like, yes, I am married,
however I am still Kim kardash Yeah, but she know
it might change. She's been married three times. I'm just
saying she knows exactly anything. I'm just saying, get out
of here. So we got a couple of great things
on that for you guys today. Um, we're gonna start
(05:43):
by a word association game. Yes, word association words to
write down five words. Yes, we're gonna come up at
the bottom. You can. Actually I'll go first to you
and then you tell me what the first thing that
comes to your mind. We'll talk about a flf second. Okay,
blue the word blue, bruin that's right, that's right, brewin blue,
(06:12):
that's right. What color is brewin? This is very brewin blue. No, No,
it's much lighter than this or darker than this. Like
there's no how dare you powder blue? It's almost like
literally nineteen eighties, Like we have not been powder blue
in a very long what, Yes, please check your uniform looks.
(06:35):
What are you talking about? We do not do powder blue,
and even if we did, it would be fantastic. Guys,
uniforms don't intimidate anybody like that's part of their party.
Intimidate you when we beat you. So how about that
that doesn't happen. I'm on to the next Ready, what's
the word? Ms ha? Somebody? I need? Associated word? Association
(06:59):
is trauma. That's what works because I need to put
a h an app on my phone for when her
period is coming, because that needs to because it is
inevitable every month. Every every month since it's been back
since she had the baby, she will like go off
(07:21):
about something and I'm like, why are we in a
fight right now? Like why are you bugging? Because you're
doing things? And then and then two days later, she's
like at a period and I'm like, it makes me
a little more irritable. However, you you start the day
(07:42):
at a six, so like so a little bit more
irritable is like a nine. So leave me alone, which
is what I tell you. Anyway, your word, I need
to leave her alone, But the kids don't need to
leave her alone? Kind of sense? That make next word up.
Don't try to cheat. Look at my sheet already saw it.
(08:03):
Next word up money energy. Okay, y'all explain, it's just
you know, it's just a it's just functional energy. Like
where you are energetically is usually where your money is,
and like where the things you pities are. I would
definitely agree with the reflection of that. Ye, your priorities
(08:26):
are reflected and where you spend your money. I can't
believe you looked at my cheet, you cheater Roman. You
mean our baby Roman are just the word Roman. I
just said the word Roman, son king like man child twin.
(08:51):
She has a problem. See. Here's the thing is, people
have a hard time distinguishing how somebody looks because of
the skin tone. Our baby Roman is a light skinned baby, however,
exactly like his dad. So you guys vote, does Roman
(09:14):
look more like me? Or does he look more like
his fair skinned mother? Fair skin did? Oh? Speaking of that,
we were on a walk the other day. We were
on a walk the other day and it's in one
of our neighbors. He stopped us and he says, oh
(09:36):
my god, listen, it is so great to see you guys.
Um it. Okay, go ahead, tell the story. So we're
walking and and he he had seen us a day before,
so he says hello again, and you know, everybody's super friendly.
Now we're like all walking around and everything. So we
say hi to him, and he's like, you know, I
just go out of my way to, you know, make
(09:56):
sure I meet other interracial couples. My wife his Nigerian,
and we also have mixed kids. And I'm like, first
of all, I'm mixed, so that we're not in an
interracial relationship. George thought was very funny. I don't think
(10:17):
it's funny. He did not recognize blackness. But it's okay,
it's all right. Always a being questioned. No, it was
super super funny. Um. Next word, cookies. Fat. That's all
(10:44):
I think of. You associate everything with with fat, though
you're like, anybody eats anything. She's like, but stop breaking
that fat stuff. That's because we can't even have some
in the house. And she's like, stop bringing that fat. Juice.
First juice, no, no, not no orange juice, apple juice, lemonade.
(11:06):
When you're fresh squeeze, we would never have fresh squeeze
apple juice. I buy fresh pressed apple juice. That's not
fresh squeezed apple juice. It doesn't matter. It's filled with
tons of sugar anyway, simple sugars, not complex sugars. What
does that mean? There's a difference between eating eating and
(11:27):
orange and drinking kool leg soda? Is do I bring
soda in the house? Empty count? Yes? Actually? What what
is ginger ile? I brought gingerrell in the case I
get a little tummy? What is gingerle? Is that a soda?
I brought miniature cans that aren't even in the house.
But soda. Oh god, Okay, you want to play semantics, nobody.
(11:49):
You just said you don't bring soda. No, but I
don't bring soda for everybody to drink, like in case
somebody gets a little upset tummy or something like that.
You got a little candle gingerrell in anyway, cookies have
known nutritional value. Some cookies do. Go ahead, it's your turn.
See you're on my nerves already. Uh sex, what's that?
(12:25):
That was good? Never enough for you? It's a fact,
it's literally never enough for you. Weed drug addict. She
equates anybody who does weed with drug addicts, And I'm like, babe,
(12:47):
they're not. That's from childhood trauma, which you should be
like sensitive about. Can't really get into it if you
want to. I get it. I get it that there
is a that your childhood trauma. They're all this stuff
with your mom that that By the way, it is
nobody said that weed's not addicted, Okay, I'm just making
sure that we're clear on that. I think that most
(13:11):
people who do smoke weed probably smoke it or eat
edibles or whatever socially or casually, and they're not like addicted.
But I have known some people who are addicted to
weed because they must wake and bake. They can't eat.
If they wake up and have weed, then then they're addicted.
That's your definition of addict. No, that's not the definition.
(13:32):
I don't want to get into a clinical definition. There
are clinical definitions and symptoms of addiction. But you know, okay,
your turn, your turn, turn Trump Jesus um moron. Like
(14:03):
that's the Like it's like there's I need more than
one word, because it's not that I think that everything
that he's done is terrible. I don't. However, I do
think that when people can't trust you, if I can't
believe what you say, it's I don't think there's anything
good about somebody who lies repeatedly. There's just nothing good there.
(14:26):
I agree with that, but but I'm saying, like, like
it's want one of those things to where everything that
everybody like, even if it's somebody that you don't like, hate,
don't like what they do, every single thing that they
do is not terrible. I'm just saying that everything that
the man has done has not been terrible. I don't
agree with by far most most things. I don't believe
(14:47):
you can trust them, which is my biggest issue. M
next word, last one for me, pineapples. Isn't that the
sex word? Like when you're like too much pineapples? What's
your word association that not much? Too much? Too much? Yeah,
(15:08):
I had to say it with pineapples. Yeah, that was
a sex safety word. That was That's what you wanted?
Are you horny? Honey? Is that why you know? I
just wanted to know what. I just wanted to know
what if I was trying to do that egg planting peach,
if that's what I was trying to do, emojis like
(15:32):
or like you with the little devil face that you
like to saying like nobody knew that that was like
a sex emoji. But whatever, Okay, go on marriage fantastic,
(15:52):
all right, Well that was word association. Um. Now, there
was a piece of news that happened out in the world.
I hope you have you say it with your chest right. Um.
There was a piece of news out in the world
that we got in a hot debate about, uh. And
it was about Earl Thomas. Earl Thomas was a safety
(16:15):
for the Seahawks, most recently for the Ravens. His wife
got arrested for pulling a gun on him. And once
all the details came out, he was in a hotel
room or motel room whatever, no, no Airbnb or something
like like that with his brother and some other women,
(16:35):
and and she caught him in the act basically right,
and she pulled a gun on him, threatened the other
women was like I got something for all you hose
and all that right, And the Ravens, according to reports,
were looking for ways to cut Earl Thomas, and I
just thought this was terrible. I was like, hold on,
(16:57):
the time his wife gets arrested and you want to
cut the man like like that, that's like you getting
fired for something. He's not arrested. Is because there's not
technically a crime for being a nasty ass. He should
be I have told George this before. I believe, and
(17:20):
this is probably not my most popular opinion, but I
don't care. I believe that adultery should be a crime.
I literally think that men who commit adultery should be
criminally prosecuted and women who commit adultery same thing, and
also that there could be civil damages. Honestly, I think
(17:41):
that adultery is such a damaging thing that there are
other things that are considered crimes and people can be
held civilly liable for that cause less damage, but that
those things are things you can take to court. This is,
to me, in my opinion, something that is incredibly damaging
to society. Two marriages, to families, and so him doing that. Honestly,
(18:06):
if she could just call the cops and be like, boom,
call my husband, Cheain, come pick him up, she would
have never got arrested. Never. Okay, So let me start here.
I believe that this woman was justified in being angry, upset,
even pulling, pulling the gun, because if you pulling the
gun is okay, no no hold on, hold on hold,
(18:29):
because you can be raised in that moment. If you
find out through your husband's snapchat that he's somewhere with
some other chicks and you walk in and he's doing
his business with them, that can send you in a
in a rage. Okay, So I'm not mad at mad
at her. Don't necessarily think that she should go to
jail for this, because she was probably out of her
mind crazy for a little bit. But the problem that
(18:53):
I have is, how the hell are you gonna are
the Ravens possibly thinking about trying to avoid his track,
like like using a clause in the contract to cut him,
And I'm like, how does that make sense? Like you
can't fire people for infidelity? Like it's like you can't
fire doesn't the military fire people for infidelity? I don't
(19:13):
know about that. Then there'd be a lot of people
in the military fire I think. So, no, there's no
way they fire people for if they do, it's no, no,
there's no. I once dated somebody in the military to
be a nasty story. No no, no, no no. I was
in Jacksonville and there was a lady that I was
(19:36):
talking to and then she would come over, we would
hang out all this stuff, and then one day I
was like, yo, like, let's go out somewhere, and she
was like, let's go out there. She was like, no,
I can't really do that. I'm married. I was like,
whoa slow down. I knew she was in the military,
and then she was like and she was like no,
no, no no, no, this is the military. There's an understanding,
(19:57):
like everybody knows this goes on blah blah blah. And
I was like, I'm not with that. I'm not with
it at all. And then she told me. I was like,
where's your husband at anyway that She was like, I
don't know because he's uh in special Forces, he's like
a Navy seal or something. I was like, this dude
could be staking out of the house right now. You
don't know when he's coming or going. Hell, I was
(20:19):
devil the last time I saw her period. Yeah, yeah,
so what were you saying? He said, oh, so that
getting fired that I don't believe that you should be
able to avoid somebody's contract. But people, actually, I'll tell
you this. There's also I think it was Garcel Beauvain,
(20:42):
her husband Um was cheating hunt on her. He was
like an agent or something like that, and she sent
an email about the affair and all of that to
the entire company. So here's what that type of stuff does.
It causes disruption. It causes you know, issues in the organization,
(21:07):
in your workplace, organization in in Earl Thomas's situation. It
makes the football players look like kind of scuzzy guys
and makes himself look like a scuzzy guy, and they
have to I'm not defending this because it should not
(21:29):
be this way, but as a business owner, actually I
can speak on this. I had an assistant who was
having an affair with a guy in my office. I
had no clue about it. This was many many moons ago. Nobody,
you guys know, um, yes, so no, this is not Joanna. No,
it's not Joanna. But many many moons ago, she was
(21:51):
having an affair in my office. I had no clue,
right she Uh. It actually came to my attention from
another agent who had caught them engaging in a sexual
act in the parking lot. You can get fire for that.
What do you mean? What? This is the exact own
(22:11):
company property? What does that mean that? What does that mean?
It's not company property, it's the landlords property. They're in
there there in their personal car. But My point is
is I was like, I can't have a little ho
cheet little assistant out here doing the things she's doing.
It it's a bad look for me, Okay, okay, And
(22:36):
so I was like, no, you gotta go. Okay, I
get that, and I didn't even bring up her affair.
But that's the same thing. She can't. She cannot do
these things and expect that it does not have a
ripple effect on other things. Okay. So there are multiple
(22:58):
layers to this, is that let's just look at professional
athletes in general. It's it's uh, and you're actually just
young men with money in general. A lot of times
they are slightly promisculous at times, and so you would
(23:19):
have to find I mean, like, look, how many there
wouldn't be a media takeout, a world star, a black
sports online without people cheating. So but yeah, but if
you you can't fire everybody, that's the point. Who cares?
I can fire, I can have associated with my company
whoever I want. But that's what I'm saying is you
can't pick and choose who you're gonna fire in sports
(23:42):
because it's sports. You are trying to win games. You think,
because so many men cheating sports that this should not
even be a thing. No, I'm just saying, like, how
can you So now you're gonna be investigating people's personal lives.
Nobody investigate it. No, I don't. That's just it's on TMZ.
So if somebody calls the team and it's like yo, yo,
(24:05):
I think Ted is cheating on his wife, I don't
think they should go back. I don't think they care,
But I think they care when it touches them, when
it starts bringing bad repute. And that's the point is
that you're going to weaponize that, so then more people
are going to be calling out your team. Men who
(24:25):
are being nasty, women who are being nasty should think
about these things. You should think about it. You could
lose your job, you could lose your family, you could
lose custody of your children. You should think before you
sit there and engage in these acts and think that
they're isolated acts, that you can do whatever you want
to behind a little behind the curtain, and it's not
(24:48):
going to get out behind the curtain. They should, they
should really think like that. I agree with that. However, Okay,
a lot of times, like from in our counseling and
all that stuff. We have heard that all of these
things that people stay together through all sorts of things,
whether it's financial, there's their fidelity, there is alcoholism, rug.
(25:09):
I mean like people make it through all sorts of
sorts of things. So if somebody is to get fired, right,
then that affects the finances of the family. Correct or
by your proposition that the person the offending party should
go to jail, that means that the family could lose
(25:31):
their house. They could. Oh so so you would be
okay anyway, But don't you see that that happens anyway.
That happens anyway when people are having affairs, they get
they get off. Haven't you known people that I like this?
So they get off into just all kind of bad
decisions and they can lose their jobs. They can get
(25:53):
in car accidents, they can go out and be drunk,
they can start doing drunks like, they can do a
lot of bad things. Associate it with making that bad decision. Okay,
So I'm saying all of that can happen anyway. But
if it were my company, If I have a company
and an angry wife is coming up to the station
(26:15):
brandishing a gun because one of my employees. Yes, up
to the station. Yes, but they were on private pride
like they were at an air V and B wasn't
even if if my employees not even in the act.
But he has done this act that has created a
ripple effect that now that ripple effect is affecting our
(26:37):
environment and causing disruption. Players get arrested every week, so
and they're and they're still on team. So they get
that kind of stuff. Results results and murders, suicide, They
get a two game suspension and then they come back
to work. Your wife pulls a gun on you, but
(26:58):
you should be fired. I'm just saying I see it.
I don't see it. You guys, tell us what you think.
Um the now it is time for our favorite segment.
I will let you go first. Today it is time
to say it with your chest. Say it with your chest.
(27:20):
You can go first. No, I'm gonna let you go first.
I mean, that's really bothering me. Okay, you ready? Hold up?
You get one minute say it with your chest to
say whatever is on your heart and mind. Okay, and
then but the other person cannot rebut cannot rebut can
you do that? Can you do that? I do it
(27:41):
all the time. Here we go, Ready go. The only
thing that's really bothering me that I feel a personal
means to say with my chest is your chewing habits.
What you chew gum in bed? You hop your gum,
you smack your gum. I think this is absurd. Nobody
(28:07):
choose gum in bed. Everybody knows you're not supposed to
cheat coming bed. In addition, I'm just gonna leave it
at that. You only took thirty seconds. That's all I
could say. Go ahead, now say it. What's your chest?
Now it's time for saying which what's your chest? Brought
to you by the Main Edition. Go okay. It is
(28:32):
extremely annoying when Denisian says one thing like she'll be like, hey, George,
are you gonna make make breakfast this morning? Blah blah blah, okay, cool,
I'll make breakfast, No problem, got you, baby, I love you.
And then she'll be like, hey, hey, um, canna you
go get that for the baby? Can you go do this?
(28:54):
I'm like, I'm doing one thing, like, let me finish
one thing before you try to assign me another tax.
So yes, so let a person finish. And then she'll
be like, well, how come you didn't do the other thing.
I was doing the first thing that you asked me
to do. So that's it. That's me saying, with your
with your chest, let stuff get finished when you ask
(29:16):
somebody to do it, exactly. Yep, sit over there and
be quiet. Now, don't push no buttons, like didn't nobody
have anything to say, so don't sit over there and
be domesticated. All right, Now it's time for the other segment,
(29:37):
which is where we say good things about each other. Yeah,
go ahead and go ready, Yeah, okay, So uh, new
business opening up, and Denisia is doing so much of
the legwork and all of this stuff, and she has
been phenomenal at negotiating, getting good rates and all of
(29:57):
these things. And I used to It used to annoy
me sometimes because she will squeeze blood from a turnip
and sometimes you're just like, good God, like you're gonna
squeeze this man down to his drawls, like down you
go get every last nickel, like there are none left
before the deal is complete. It used to annoy me
(30:18):
because I would just like, yo, like we got enough,
like where this should be a happy medium, But nope,
she's squeezing squeezing, squeezing, and ultimately she does a really
good job. We get the best rate. Sometimes people are
very annoyed with her, but at the end they respect
her and I like it. That's good, that's very true. Okay, ready,
(30:45):
I would like to acknowledge you for for listening to
my previous say it with your chests and and regularly
taking showers. I'm happy about this. You've been a brushing
me tea. You're just making things up right now, you're not,
(31:08):
and you've got a haircut. Wait, yours gonna be talking?
So so I I have been very um pleasantly visually stimulated,
especially since the haircut. I'm really happy about the haircut
as well as you know. My other senses are awesome
(31:32):
stimulated and you look really, really handsome, So thank you.
This is such a manipulation of the system because you know,
I'm not supposed to respond, so then you can actually
say whatever. But that's okay. I'm going to employ that
tactic next time. Okay, I'm going to employ that tactic
(31:55):
next time. All Right, I've just acknowledged you. This isn't
that what you always want? That was appreciation. That was
a backhanded ass compliment. It was sincere from the bottom
of my heart. But I want to thank you so
much for shaving your legs like. I mean, they were
(32:15):
just schoo They were just bad and Harry and now
you look amazing. They were just werewolf like. If you
had not, if I was werewolf like and then I
was not responding to you for months about the werewolf
and then and then I did respond, you'd be happy
about that, hike. I am all right. Thank you guys
