You are listening to Wrestling Observer Live with Brian Alvarez
and Mike simper Vivi on the Sports Byline Broadcasting Network.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Back in the show, Brian Alvarez here, Wrestling Observer Live.
Filthy Tom Lawlor is joining us here today. Are you
gonna make it through the show today? Without any profanity? Tom?

Speaker 4 (06:18):
I can neither confirm nor deny that I will be
able to make it through the show without cursing up
a storm. But hey, don't get on my bad side.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Dom. You got the finger on the button. I just
want to make.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
Sure I got my finger on the pulse. That's all right.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
We got a lot to get into here today, So
tonight is dynamite and we'll get four matches announced for
the show, as well as Brian Danielson his first night
as an official commentator. You could do it this Turkish

(06:57):
oil wrestling Tom I'm telling you.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Brian, is he aware?

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Actually he's funny. You should mention that he did an
interview and and uh he said he found out about
it when Tony tweeted. That's when he found out he
was now the new commentator. So uh, basically he said
that they had discussed it, but he didn't know that
it was like happening. And then Tony just tweeted that

(07:24):
it was happening. So he's there tonight and it's happening.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
So do you know who's going to be in the booth?
Is it going to be Tony?

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Like seven people? Brian bro they don't get rid of people,
you know what I'm saying. Maybe Wade Bard'll be there.
He's not going to be there. Wade, don't get mad
at me. That was just silly, all right. Anyway, we
got Hagman, Page and Josh Alexander in a non title match,
Tony Storm and sky Blue in a Philly street fight

(07:58):
which I think is a non title match but doesn't
specify here, Shelton Benjamin versus Ricochet and Mercedes and Emmy
Soccer versus Rijo and Alex Windsor so that is the
lineup for Dynamite tonight. We'll be covering that on Wrestling
Observer Radio as well as the Brian and Vinnie Show tomorrow.

(08:19):
And by the way, if you didn't listen to the
Brian and Vinie Show last night with Granny, I strongly
recommend you listen to Granny's segment. Apparently she's decided she
is now going to tell stories about some of her
old girlfriends and the first one was a doozy. So

(08:41):
that's on the Brian and Vinie Show last night. I
strongly encourage you to go check that one out. All right?
This weekend is his Canelo Crawford fight. You going to
this show tom now Vegas?

Speaker 4 (08:58):
I know, but I will be at the MLA you
show fight Land watching a number of other Mexican superstars.
A lot of wrestlers from CMLL will be in action
Saturday night for MLW fight Land, But unfortunately I won't
be able to watch Canelo versus Crawford the first event

(09:19):
under what do you fly boxing? Friday?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
At what time?

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Midday? I still want to come in.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
I still want to go to Worlds Collide, Dude, there's
six hundred and fourteen tickets left, like I could get in,
but like the flights to Vegas are just outlandish, So
I don't I.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Mean, have you ever watched Canelo or Crawford fight in
your life?

Speaker 1 (09:45):
I don't think I have. I don't want to go
to that show. I want to go to World's Collide
Canelo and Crawford. You know, they've done all of those
commercials on on WWE programming. That's an leeching stadium and
they're at sixty four nine fifty six with seventeen hundred

(10:06):
tickets left. If that's accurate, that beats WrestleMania any of
the single nights of WrestleMania. So that's that's not doing
too bad, looks like to me, and World's Collide, Thomas
and Mack, they've got nineteen hundred tickets out. Maybe it's
just guys like me that think that things should have

(10:27):
sold out like immediately, But nineteen hundred tickets out, six
hundred and fourteen left.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
You know, it's only been announced for like two weeks.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
That's the problem. Like if they would have announced this
a couple of months ago, I'd be there, but they
announced it like yeah, it was it was only like
three four weeks ago, because I remember they announced it
and it was like September September like thirteenth or whatever
or twelve.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah, and really I haven't seen any promotion in the
way of like a package deal for Canalo and Crawford
and Triple A, which you know, I mean they're they
were able to do it right and fourteen in the
same city the night before. I mean, they have package
deals with PBR and UFC and WWE. Why not have
Triple A and Canalo and Crawford.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Well, honestly, because I think they probably thought they'd sell
out twenty five hundred tickets pretty fast, but I mean
they haven't yet. If anyone's got like a free flight
to Vegas and I just don't want to pay seven
hundred dollars to fly into watch. Actually, as I read
the card, they kind of start rethinking that.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
You kind of do want to pay seven hundred dollars.
You're gonna get to see Pogano live.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Bro Pogano and Psycho Clown versus the New Day. I
still can't believe that match is happening.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Well, you know what, you know who I get the
call on the flip side, I'll be on the microphone
for Xendocon Junior, Barbosa and Defunto. So my own level
of curiosity will be peaked seeing those guys in action.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
EO, David Kingo, del Vi Kingo versus Dominant and Naddy
and Fabe Apache and Finn and Rock Sand versus mister
Iguana and Vice.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Who could care about Natalia and fabi Apachi after last night?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
What are you talking about? What a great build for
that match? Kidding me?

Speaker 4 (12:15):
I was more interested just watching them beat the crap
out of each other in that three way than seeing
that horrific finish they had to ruin our beloved speed tournament.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
You know, Tom, I gotta say one thing about NXT.
We'll do the report later, but I I it's it's
I've mentioned it a thousand times. I really enjoy it's.
It's the show I think I look forward to the
most because I just never know what's gonna happen. It's
just it's such a throwback to the nineties. It's just
such a weird show. Okay, But I will say that

(12:51):
the one thing about NXT is it is the only
show where I feel like, in some way I will
always be let down. You know what, I mean, it's
just like they did it with Javon. We'll get to that.
I mean, you know, Javon's out there, great match plays,
going nuts, and he loses again, and it's like, okay,

(13:11):
like I got it for a while, but you realize
that this guy debuted fourteen months ago and he has
been failing NonStop for fourteen months, Like, are we ever
going anywhere with this? So my point to this is
because Lola Ice is on this Triple A show. These
video packages the last two weeks for Lola Ice like fantastic, incredible.

(13:35):
The video packages are incredible and sign her dad, Oh,
we'll get to him, but like, the video packages are incredible.
The show that she's fighting for the title on is
very close to Miami. It's basically she's in her hometown.
She comes across, it's like the biggest star. It's like
Jac's been champion for a long time. But like, this

(13:57):
is the one promotion where I just figure, if I
like had to spend money because I wanted to see results,
I would never spend my money at n XT because
I presume she's losing. I have no faith After these
awesome video packages. It's like if this were any other promotion,
like you'd have to be a moron to not put

(14:18):
the title on her. You don't have to be like
an idiot. But it's NXT. So I'm expecting to watch
the show and like JC Jane beats Lola Ice and
then we just go, this is the one promotion like that,
even if like rawten SmackDown, it's like even Raw and SmackDown,
like eventually they're gonna give you what you want to see.

(14:39):
They didn't when Vince was in charge, but they do now.
But I mean this show, I expect her to lose
and Jevon lost and it's like we like the whole
gimmick of NXT is let's work really hard to get
people over and then beat them and I don't know why,

(15:00):
but like that's what they do.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
She's winning that belt.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
I'm glad you have faith. I don't.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
I don't have faith for a long title reign. We
have EO faith that title.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Eod A Doctor Wagner Junior against Dragon Lee JD and
Ethan Page in a four way for the Latin American
title and the Luca Showcase Laparca Mascarita Segrada Ninya Ambergasa
Ninyo Ambergasa Cruz del Toro unless he's got a sister
Joaquie and wildly insee Dorado Mini Abizo Negro and yes,
Tom Octagon Junior somehow got cleared. What Yeah, he's clear

(15:36):
and he's good to go.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Did you get a new head?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I mean man back in a moment Observer Live.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
You were listening to Wrestling Observer Live with Brian Alvarez
and Mike semper Vivi on the Sports Byline Broadcasting Network.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Actually a lot of AW articles out today, which is
always good if it's the day of a show. TSN
in Canada has got an article on Don Callous Callous embraces.
The hate is aw is most reviled man. Yes, he
is a disgusting human. Talks about how the first time

(16:23):
he went out and got all that heat, his his
Apple watch has a he's got one of those noise
gimmicks and and it went off because it was just
it was too loud out there. He couldn't hear a thing,
and it was Jeff Jones was in the back and
his watch went off too, and it was the decibel

(16:44):
level of a jet. So he's got a big article
here about Kevin Knight. He doesn't understand Kevin Knight. He's
not quite as loud, but yeah, he doesn't understand why
he's so hated. You want me to get started? Then
we got this A w star Maxwell Friedman MJF is

(17:10):
set to join Violent Night two from Universal in eighty
seven North. It's gonna star a number of individuals, including
Kristen Bell. It's about a apparently some some angry Santa,
a vigilante Santa. That was Violent Night one. This is
Violent Night two. So pardon me, Dom, I'm just reading

(17:33):
the article. Ass kicking Santa Claus is back. It is
unknown who Freedman will play Santa.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Gonna hand out some mule Tide beatings.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Yeah, Violent Night two, so here you go.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Brian also tomorrow. Yeah, a little bit of a plug
on Honor Club, a special edition of Dean It's Dan three,
Dean three, Dean three with Billy Starks taking on Nicole Matthews.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
How often are they doing these Deans? Now?

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Lee Moriarty versus Josh Woods, Lafaction, Ingo Bernable taking on Cheeseburger,
Eli Isiam and rhet Titus and Hair versus Hair Demus
versus Mad Dog Conley Wow, this is a they seem
to be quarterly quarterly Dean.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Is it like a promotion now? Because I know they
did the first one and it was a tribute show
and it was awesome, and then all of a sudden
there was gonna be another one, and now we're at three,
so it's almost like this is this is a new promotion,
Dean with a tia da bang.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
What do you want me to say? I'm not in charge?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
All right? Thanks? Okay. We got a new report on
Hulk Hogan US Weekly, which I used to think was
US Weekly for about fifteen years. They reported that Hogan's
son Nick is the sole beneficial of Hogan's estate. His
wife's sky is listed as a surviving spouse, Brooke Hogan

(19:08):
not a beneficiary beneficiary. She has to be removed from
the will. There are approximately five million in assets listed,
along with money that could potentially come from a medical
malpractice suit that his wife is planning. Hogan left behind
two hundred thousand in crypto, seven hundred and ninety nine

(19:32):
thousand in personal property and intellectual property, and in addition
to his right to publicity is worth four million dollars
and an unknown value for a potential medical malpractice lawsuit.
So all those articles another bunch of articles when when
he passed away talking about his estate being worth twenty

(19:53):
five million dollars and looks like it's not about about
five million. Of course he could make a lot if
that malpractice lawsuit, if they get a payout on that.
So that is the update on Hogan. Then we have
Mark Shapiro, Yes, Brian.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
Also there's been an announcement for real American wrestling too,
which will take place a real American freestyle I apologize,
which will take place from Penn State University in November.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
I should have a real American Greco Roman. What do
you think.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Should we have Carl stern On to educate you on
how our current wrestling style is a derivative of Greco
Roman from France in the circus days in the.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Well, of course it is. You don't think I've read
that book? Do you think I pretend to read these books? Tom?

Speaker 4 (20:52):
His book was about America, not France. Yes, but I
do think you.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Pretend he should he should write a book about the
how France was the catalyst for all of this professional
wrestling frivolity.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
You know who actually are the ones that uncovered that footage?

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Who was that?

Speaker 4 (21:08):
The guys that run Dean Wow?

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Yeah, I get that hacking Schmidt gotch footage. Then we'll talk.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
We're talking right now. What do you mean, then we'll talk.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
I want that footage, Tom, You're not getting it. Why
they do they find old footage all the time. I'm
not saying it's likely, but it was filmed. I don't
think it's impossible that it's out there somewhere.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Well, I hope we find it, but of course.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
By the time we do it maybe dust. But it
would be cool, wouldn't it. You think it was a
shooter work.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
Shoot?

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Oh yeah? M interesting. Mark Shapiro did an interview and
he said he hoped that Wressel Palooza would be quote
an annual recurring franchise for the company and one that
is both on par with two of their most notable.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
Pls, Great Balls of Fire.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
And becomes part of the Big four events. Hopefully, he says,
Wressell Palooza is a winner and we can bring it
back annually. That could be a marketing bonanza for us,
he said. He says Triple H is spending day and
night creatively making what we think it can be another
WrestleMania or another Summer Slam. Do we really need? So

(22:35):
we got two nights of WrestleMania, two nights of Summer Slam,
and then you want Wressell Paluza the month after Summer Slam.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
Well, listen, SummerSlam was in July this.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Year barely, but I mean there was no other August
show right.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Six seven weeks later it was like and then Washing Paris.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
I guess that's right now. He said Royal Rumble is
below the level and they feel that Russell Paluza could
be in that quadrant. I don't know, man, I think
I think Royal Rumble is bigger than SummerSlam. That's what
it feels like to me.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
I mean, I look forward to it more because of
the match.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
I think most matches I hear more people talking about
Royal Rumble when I hear about, like people that don't
normally come over to watch a show, like your Mark
or whoever. Uh, you know, most people talk about Wressell
Mania and Royal Rumble like not Summer ste Did you
just call me a Mark, No, my buddy Mark. You

(23:32):
are my Mark, buddy, But my buddy Mark is who
I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
What they should do is focus on bringing Survivor Series
back up to be in one of the Big four.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Yeah, but the reason it was a big quarterback in
the day was there were only four and you know,
they still call it Survivor Series even though I don't
remember the last time we did a Survivor Series match,
which I think that they should probably do more of,
you know, bring back that Survivor Series match. What you
can't have people do jobs, there's play many of interference.
You can have a match like that. So I also

(24:04):
like these, and Tony Khan does this as well. When
like somebody in charge says, I really hope we can do.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
This, it's like, we'll do it, make it happen.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Yeah, what are you talking about? You hope that like
Russell Peluza can come back next year. What do you
mean you hope you can't do a pay per view
anytime you want. You're in charge. What are you talking about,
Mark Shapiro.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
Well, they couldn't do Day one anytime they wanted.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Like Tony Khan going, I really hope Chris Jericho comes
back soon, It's like, well book him, you're his boss.
He's under contract. I don't know, man, kind of weird
if you ask me, The Bunny is going to be
returning to action soon. She has resumed in ring training,

(24:54):
and she actually hasn't. She was removed from the roster
page in November of twenty twenty three, allegedly had come
to her release. Now she's training for a match again,
and she uh says she doesn't want to rush back
into the ring because it hurts. She said that first,
bumpy guys, I started hitting the ropes. It was painful,

(25:17):
but honestly, it felt so good.

Speaker 8 (25:20):
Yeah, hitting those ropes that hurts, Taking bumps that hurts. Yeah,
getting hit in the face that hurts. Getting your hip replaced.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
So what's the story with your hip replacement?

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Did I tell you about this? Yeah? I got a
call a follow up call from on Monday from the doctor,
doctor Bischoff, who said that, I mean, she was just asking.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
That's his name, that's her name? Is her?

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Doctor Bischoff did your surgery.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
No, she's the anesthesiologist.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I see.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Yeah, so she gave me eighty three weeks of medication
in my leg.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
She actually might have after I heard this story.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Well, yeah, she said that my surgery took five hours
to complete and like a normal hip replacement takes one hour.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
She said it was nice fifteen minutes.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
No forty five hour and a half two hours. She
said it was the worst case of arthritis she'd ever seen,
and that it was the worst case or like gnarliest
case that she's seen this year.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Why was it so arthritic?

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Probably? Well, I don't know. You can ask Dave Melter.
Apparently he's been doing research and trying to gather the
date on this sort of exact thing.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
What are you talking about? Are you are you serious
or are you joking?

Speaker 4 (26:50):
Now you you had an entire conversation with.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Him, Oh about your Yeah?

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Why do I think? Probably the years of wrestling and
do an MMA and then pro wrestling all combined.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Here's my question. Like you, I'll ask you after the
break back in a moment of life state.

Speaker 9 (27:33):
You're still glowing, flirting, grooving, you still got it, but
your immune system weakens as you age, making it harder
to fight flu, pneumacacal pneumonia, RSV, and COVID nineteen. Vaccines
are a key part of any health routine and health
strengthen your immune response. Ask your doctor a pharmacist which
vaccines you need schedule in minutes at vax assists dot

(27:54):
com sponsored by Pfizer.

Speaker 10 (27:57):
I'm holding in my hand the American Silver Eagle dollar.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
It's a beautiful piece.

Of American history and it's one ounce of silver originally
minted in nineteen eighty six. These coins are a beautiful,
classic piece of American history, and they're a great investment
you should add to your portfolio. The beauty of silver
is that, however much you have available to invest, silver
is affordable and easy to acquire, with one coin costing

few thousand in silver, you can get quite a bit
for your money, and you'll have a tangible asset that

Speaker 2 (30:41):
You are listening to Wrestling Observer Live with Brian Alvarez
and Mike semperviv on the Sports Byline Broadcasting Network.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Making the show. Brian Albarez here Wrestling Observer Live. He goes,
I don't know why Brian keeps harping on the whole
Tony Cohn wanting to use Jericho thing he can want
to use him, but not as much as doesn't want
to feature him before he goes to WWE. I'm sure
if Jericho agreed to resign, he would be using him.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
Listen, then just don't say it.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
If you if you are signing people, let's say you're
signing people to three month deals, okay, you're signing people
to three month deals or i'm sorry, three year deals.
You're signing people to three year deals, okay, and you're
just gonna say, well, you know, once they've been here
for a little over two years, if they don't agree

(31:30):
to resign, I'm just gonna have to take them off TV.
So you're just gonna give up like eight months. You're
gonna pay them for eight months just because they might
go somewhere else. That that is that is a horrible
way to waste your money. Listen your deal. I mean
it's like WWE. I mean, I don't know how AW

(31:52):
does it, but in WWE, you know when you're when
you're done, you know, people go elsewhere, or if you
get released, you've got the ninety day no compete. But
I mean, is it is it devastating to your business
to use the guy for the length of his contract.
We're just gonna stop using him? This is this is

(32:14):
I don't I don't get this at all, not to mention. Okay,
so what are you are you worried that britt Baker
is gonna go to WWE. Well, our deal isn't up
for another year or so. You haven't user for like
a year, so how far does it go back? I mean,
are we gonna use it for a year and then
the second two years we don't use them because they
might go somewhere else. Like if you want to use
the guy, use him, that's it.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
I mean, you could make the case for some people
that you wouldn't want to use a person because maybe
they're gonna put in less effort or are they gonna
tank their performance? But I really don't see Jericho being
the type of person to come back on TV and
do that, you know what I mean. I'm pretty sure

(32:57):
if you were booking him, he's gonna put forth his
best effort on the show. So I mean, yeah, I'm
with you.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
He said that when he signed someone for an X
number of deals, he's gonna pay them for that many years. Well, yeah,
he's paying him to do nothing like this is this
is common sense. Pay him through the duration of his
deal and use him through the duration of the deal. Otherwise,
I don't know if you're worried about it. Sign everyone
to three year and three month contracts, you don't use

(33:25):
him for the last three months, but you're still paying them.
It's ridiculous. And he has released people who were under
contract by the way finding him, Josh, it has happened,
all right. The question I had for you is when
we did that Bangbros. Match, which was like two years ago,
you were like you were kind of moving a little bit,
you know.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
It was a lot longer than two years ago.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
It was twenty twenty three.

Speaker 4 (33:49):
No way, pretty sure. I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I'm pretty sure you can look at that check. But anyway,
the point is you were, you were moving a little,
you were, you were mildly hobbled. But you know when
I when I saw you at the uh the Relentless show,
you're just making stuff up. No, I'm not, dude, this bro.
When I saw you at that last show when you
couldn't even stand up show, Yeah, it felt like this

(34:12):
escalated remarkably quickly. So my question to you is how
long had your hip been bothering you?

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Doctor said I took I should have gotten surgery over
a year ago. My hip bothering me?

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Yes, who knows.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
I'm in the business of pro wrestling, so that's always bothering.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Me, I know. But like, did it really bug you?
The fact that here's my point, dude, the fact that
she said it's the worst case of arthritis she'd ever seen.
That sounds to me like, man, this had been bugging
this guy for like thirty years.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
No, you know what, I probably would have been the
UFC champion if I didn't have this arthurritic left hip.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
But hey, I'll send you another belt.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
He'll be back. It's maybe you have to sit in
this chair and talk to you.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Hey, at least you can sit down, dude. That's a
big improvement over when you got surgery, couldn't sit down
at all, and to stand what how? Who cares? I'm
trying to ask how you're doing, but you have to
make a big deal out of it, so there's more report.
I just don't even care anymore. What xt xt god

(35:27):
n XT Well, I'd rather talk about your hip javan
and Briggs. I mean, the match was awesome, great match,
place going wild, going absolutely wild for Javon.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
Show started hot that he got right in the rank
and was talking trash and then flew onto Briggs.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Ye, they hate brig And keep in mind, by the
way that Briggs did a number one contenders match last
week and he got beaten, so he's not even in
title picture. And you know, Javon's coming off that loss
to Oba, trying to rebuild, and they have this awesome
match and then Briggs ends up getting a chair, the

(36:11):
Rev takes a chair away and Javon goes for springboard.
Briggs hits him with a chain and pins him. Sixteen months. Dude,
just keeps losing and losing and losing. You can just
hear the crowd like, oh god, we fell for it again.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Then we had Obin Ricky arguing backstage. They announced it
next week on Homecoming, they're gonna be on the Grayson
Waller effect. And then Trick walks in and says it's
all clear. Aven She goes, yeah, we're all good, and
he told Oba to remember they weren't finished. So then
this is the most bizarre thing. I can't even I

(36:58):
need an hour on the Bry and Vinnie Show for
this one. But long story short, next week it is d.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
IY, babyface, DIY Are.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
They it's I think it's that's the problem. It's DIY
versus Trick and his mystery partner, who ends up being Carmelo.
And you know, everybody when he said he had a
mystery partner was saying it was gonna be Carmelo, and
I was like, why would it be Carmelo. This doesn't
make any sense. They left on bad terms. They hated
each other. They I mean, Trick still trash talks the guy.

(37:34):
So apparently in storyline, Trick called Carmelo to come in
his backup. Carmelo said okay, but then when he showed up,
he just cut a promo on Trick and told him
how much he didn't like him, and then you know,

(37:59):
DIY made some comments. DIY by the way our heels
on the main roster. But I think they were babyfaces
last week except they double team Trick two on one
and beat him down. And now Trick has brought in
a babyface.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Partner kind of.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
I don't know what's going on, dude.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
Carmelo Hayes is not technically a baby No he is.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
I know he's not listed, but like the story is,
he's the babyface. Misses the heel. Carmelo hates this guy.
Miskeps keeps putting him in matches he doesn't want.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
To be in.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
He's basically a babyface. Okay, Miss is the baby face
He's not. Would you stop it? He should quit pushing
my He's the one.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
He's saving Carmelo from doing that stupid flying leg drop
off the top, he's saving his him from a hip
replacement surgery in the future, and he's the one winning
these matches. How is the miss the bad guy here?

Speaker 1 (38:56):
So anyway, they're gonna have a match at the show,
and I'm sure the fans will love it. Probably be
a really good match, but the whole psychology from start
to finish is absolutely bizarre. Then we had fab Faby
Apache and NXT's Laney Reid. You want to talk about
the speed match, go for it.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
No, I don't want to talk about it because they
ruined one of my favorite concepts by having a three
minute match end with interference, and it wasn't even good
at interference. She is living the match. Natty gets up
Fabi Apachi's on the top rope. They look at each other.

(39:37):
Even the ww Twitter account said slight interference by Natalia
Faby misses the swanton Lady Reid hits a running knee.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
And pins her hideous ahead.

Speaker 4 (39:54):
Of Natalia versus Fabia pat Apache on Friday. This is
how they set up that match. Yeah, why could have
Fabio Apachi win this.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Because you'd have to go on in the speed tournament.
And I guess they wanted NXT's Laney Reid.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
I thought she was from Evolve, so did I, but.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
She was listed on the graphic as NXT's Laney Reid
because they wanted speed wrestlers from many different promotions, so
she was listed as NXT. Look at me, dude.

Speaker 6 (40:24):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Then we add a wacky Blakeman Rowe video package, and
then Dark State versus Hank and Tank, which they played
off last week's deal. So like, butt Guy doesn't talk
about butts anymore, but he's still an idiot. Okay, So
last week he had Hank in a chinlock and he goes,

(40:47):
nobody can save you now, and so Hank screams Joe Hendry,
and Joe Henry's music hits and he appears and he
helps the Babyfaces win. So this week butt Guy had
us he's got him, He's got old Hank, but he's
an idiot, and so he says, and I quote, Joe

(41:09):
Hendry's not coming tonight. So he said his name because
he's an idiot, and Joe Hendry explodes through this wall
to his music and the place is going wild. But
then the referees getting rid of him, Osyrius reverses a
cradle and Dark State wins. Yeah, this Dark State is

(41:32):
just a bunch of geeks. Still, they're bigger geeks than
Hank and Tank. Think about that.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Dark Days the.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
Division.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Then we had Tavion Heights and Ethan Page. Oh my god,
Tavion speared him through the ropes and pretty much killed
Ethan He landed upside down on his neck, looked like
he was dead. The referee jumped in, he backed off
Tavion to make sure this guy was a live and
apparently he was because he kept working and needed the

(42:03):
whole rest of the match. Tavion ended up going up
there and this this was another one. Tavion wins the
flag match. He captures the flag. We plugged this yesterday
when we were previewing the show, and it was like, yeah,
I bet Tavian gets that win. So he gets a
title match against Ethan Well. Tavion wins the match against

(42:24):
this North American champion, and suddenly Tyler Breeze shows up.
What Tyler Breese?

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (42:34):
And they then announced next week at home Coming, Ethan
Page defends the North American title against Tyler Breese. Like what, okay? Whatever?
Then we had the incredible Lola Ice video package. Her
father is a whirlwind. Is there a bigger gimmick in

(42:59):
this business?

Speaker 11 (43:00):
This?

Speaker 1 (43:01):
I'm talking anywhere in this business in her father Tom,
and I say that with all due respect, is there one?
I mean, even if you went back to like crazy
Flair in the late nineties in WCW, you still ain't
touching Lola Wece's dad. And if you think I'm kidding,
if you think I'm joking, watch this show. Watch it.

(43:23):
I never seen anything like this guy. Am I wrong?
I'm trying to think of a movie character more outlandish
than this guy. Name one.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
He's something else. He's like every every stereotype wrapped into one.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Yeah, all of them in the world wrapped into one.

Speaker 4 (43:43):
Her sister's phenomenal too, Yes, Natalie Thereda, Oh yeah, just
gushing over the accomplishments of her sister and her becoming
the champion in the future. And then she puts her
dukes up.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Bro, if it was like, sign her, sign them both.
If I'm Sean Michaels, She's winning this title because I
don't want to deal with her dad Fatal.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Influence, I'd give the title to Natalie Lareda too.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
Fatal Influencer versus Soul and Zuria versus Tizzy in an
elimination match actually was a very good match. It was
very choreographed and very long, but I mean the place
when nuts Ford everything looked good and ends up with
Tizzy getting the win and then jac screaming at Fatal
Influence and we'll get to what happened after the break,

(44:31):
because I don't know what's going on. Back in a
moment Observer Live.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
You are listening to Wrestling Observer Live with Brian Alvarez
and Mike Simpervivi on the Sports Byline Broadcasting Network.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
So I don't know what in God's name is going on.
But on Raw there was supposed to be a Stephanie
Vecuer contract signing with EO, and they just mysteriously announced
stephan is not here, but we think she's gonna be
all right for Russell Palooza, and it was like she hurt?
Is she injured? Is it an angle?

Speaker 6 (45:08):
Like?

Speaker 1 (45:08):
What the heck's going on? And so the very next
night on NXT, after Fatal Influence, you know, they're all
yelling at each other after the main event, out comes
Stephanie and she comes out, and then Tiffy comes out,
and then Rhea comes out, and they're doing Fatal Influence
versus Ria, Tiffany and Stephanie next week and it's like, well,

(45:34):
where was she? What was happening? I mean, it's just bizarre.
So something's going on with Stephanie. I don't know what
it is, but like something's up, and it's pretty weird.

Speaker 4 (45:46):
That entire last segment had me wondering what was going on,
much like Booker t. I had to pop my neck.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Band yeah, to pop his neck when Stephanie that pop.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
His neck for I think it was all three of them.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
It might have been. Yeah, God this Vic. Vinnie hates Vic,
and I don't mind the guy, but he says, dumb stuff. Dude,
He realizes Vic didn't even realize that Briggs used to
chain until he watched the replay. It's like, are you
eating candy the whole time? Like, how did you not
see that? It was like right there he he did

(46:20):
the big wrap the chain around his fists and bunked
the guy. And uh, anyway, I don't know what's happening.

Speaker 3 (46:29):
So.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
Hey, maybe vicnsa pop his neck.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
Man, we're out of here, everybody. All I know is
Stephanie's not hurt or where the rest of the story is.
I don't know, so I guess we'll find out. Hey,
listen to Pacific five Eastern after dark radio is scheduled
