Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up everyone, Welcome back to Wrestling with Freddy. Only
today it's back to wrestling with Friends because with us
once again as mister Jeff Die, we're going to talk
about a dubs. We're going to talk about our predictions
for Clash in Paris on the Thursday show. Give us
some sweet music, producer Alex. Let's start the show.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
And now your main event introducing Thosts are Wrestling Win Freddy,
chefde and of Fredy Friends Junior.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Alright, you guys, there were titles defended, there were big returns,
a main event filled with chaos and blood and new
ear piercings, and one brutal attack to end it all
that kind of mean in general, Let's go through the
card match by match in order. We're gonna tell you
who won, how they won, what it means, and our feelings,

(01:14):
our thoughts, and maybe a little rating on how the paper.
I don't like doing ratings, but maybe we'll we'll rat it.
That's it's Ratings are weird to me unless we're doing
like a rated R a rate of PG. That'd be
a funnier rating. Anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Look, opinions all day, but the second they start going
eight point five. Then I'm for whatever. My brain starts arguing,
but like they could part with their opinions that I
don't care.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, I check out. Once math gets brought to the table.
My brain's just like, look, we didn't do that well
with this subject in school. I'm not interested in it.
As an adult, I'm done with you.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
There are someone criticizes my girlfriend, Oh, this, that, this, that,
and I go, yeah, you're right, and then they go
and she's a seven. Go wait a minute, don't raider,
don't give her a rating number.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
And Jesus seven, Yeah, that would be a great way
to insult somebody. Though I got a bankroll that one,
and your girlfriends at seven. It sucks. All right. We
got a lot of time, so we're not in the rush. Jeff,
how is your weekend? Sir?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Week was great. I went to Clovis, California, to some
jokes on Friday. Then I was in Ontario, California all
weekend at the Improv doing shows. They were all sold out.
Everyone was great. It was very very happy. It was good.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
It was a good week.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
California's up.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
It is a beautiful state, up north, down south, in
the middle, all over the place. Great camping, great hiking.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Like every like just the hills and the little cities
that people like drive through and they don't stop, but
like you should stop. They got good little coffee shops
and good little diners and all these like antique places
like Clovis Rules, Fresno Rules.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
It's cool. Yeah, man, I love California and driving through.
We did road trip to my twenties and we would
kind of cruise all through the place and go paintballing
and do water sports in different lakes all over. And
I know people like nowadays because we're pretty divided, like
talk trash on California. It's really cool and you should
totally come and visit. And the people are super nice
and if you get lost, they'll help you and give

(03:16):
you directions and not get pissed off at you. Sometimes
they'll surf with you or teach you a thing or two.
Like it's super cool, So come and visit us. They're
all nice and chill like me and Jeff.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
California's a ten.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah, yeah, hey, don't rate it. Don't rate it. Let's
get to the main card people. We got Adam Copeland
and Christian Cage and Tony Shivani wanted to say Edge
and Christian so bad, and you could hear him almost
say it. He was like, and now we have Adam
Copeland and Christian Cage and I was there with you, Tony,
I wanted to say Edge too. I'm probably gonna say Edge. Yeah.

(03:50):
I didn't blame him at all. I was right there
with you, bro, I was holding your hand and we
got through it together. But it's awesome to see these
guys back together. I got I think some of the
reasoning why they were going to win wrong, but I
got the result right. And we'll talk about the tag
team division in aw later, and we'll talk about the
stories that they're given us, and not just in the ring,

(04:11):
but they're giving us stories to get into these matches,
which I like very much because I'm old. But we
had Copeland and Christian with it's so hard not to
say Edge with some great chemistry in the ring, and
like tension between the two. Are they on the same side,
are they not? Brian Danielson was there and he was
like adding to that, like, I don't know, he wasn't

(04:32):
reaching as far as he could reach. Maybe he doesn't
like Copeland, you know, like trying to like make it
a little more tense, but super fun match, and the
finish was really really cool, and they didn't even look
at each other. They just knew what the other one
was doing. Like the timing was so sweet and it's
awesome to see Edge get big wins. And then he's
a hugger, but Christian's not a hugger. He's like, no,

(04:52):
come on, don't hug me, son of a bitch. Just
shake my hand. He's like, all right, all right, you're
my asshole, buddy. I love you, and he shakes hands,
and this will move them on. They can't deal with
the Nick Wayne storyline right now because he got freaking
hurt and they couldn't lose that match because then that
ends it for Nick Wayne. There's no reason for him
to come back, you know what I mean, because they're like, oh,

(05:12):
we don't need you, Nick Wayne. So they have to
move on to FTR and deal with them yet. But
they're gonna deal with FDR as non champions and we'll
get into to that match very very soon. But I
love seeing these dudes back together. It makes tag team
wrestling so much more fun. You almost don't need a
story because they have such a great history. You can
just like remember all the shit they've gone through and
be like, yeah, I totally get why they're here now.

(05:34):
But the fact that they have some motivation with two
different directions, that being the former patriarchy and FDR and
Stokely who's been super funny lately and just getting beat
up all the time, even beating himself up. They have
directions to go, which I like and I'm excited to
see where it goes. What about you?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
I thought it was great. I mean, sometimes when you
see wrestlers who aren't young and spry and climb the
ladder and chasing their legacy, it feels sluggish or it
feels like clunky, and this didn't feel that way. And
we also it didn't need to rely on nostalgia. It

(06:12):
had a little bit it has that has the edge
in Christian field, but it didn't just because that was
an element of it. It wasn't the whole match. It
wasn't like watching Undertaker sewn Michaels, you know, long after whatever.
For For some Saudi princes, it was great. It was
very very good. It worked well, and and it was
just it was fun. It was fun to watch, and

(06:34):
I loved it.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
It was good in defense of that. Sometimes we all
just take a check, all right, We're not we're not
proud of it, but we got bills to pay and
mouths defeat and take the check. But that was really funny. Okay,
next up we had and we were we were early
on this guy, but a lot of people were early

(06:55):
on this guy. So I'm not trying to take credit
for anything. But Kyle Fletcher, the TNT Champion. He's been
looking great, super Jack. The body's awesome, clean shaven, kind
of looks like an Australian Randy Orton. Not as big
as Randy but big, still still buff, good looking dude
getting better on the mic all the time. And his

(07:17):
wrestling is crazy. Like when he was we were talking
about this dude when he was in a tag team
with that other Australian dude, and now that he's solo, like, hey,
maybe he'll get a chance. You can go back and
backtrack the episodes. It was said, look at this dude
now with Don Kallis almost wore my Don Kallis sunglasses today.
That's how much I'm liking this storyline. But I didn't
want to look like a total d bag on the

(07:38):
pot for people to watch the video part. I did
that last week, So this match was pretty cool. You know,
I wasn't familiar with Hiromu Takahashi. I'm not a big
NJPW guy New Jaban Pro Wrestling. I only know a
couple of their dudes, and so this was kind of
the first time. They described him as like the Japanese
Darby Allen kind of crazy, likes pain, gets off on it,
and he played with that, and Kyle Fly wasn't playing games.

(08:01):
He was like, Oh, you're gonna laugh, You're gonna laugh, Pop,
how get some of that? And he got the win
dominant dominant win. He looked great. We picked we both
Alex and I picked Cope and Christian to win the
first one. We were right there. We were right again.
We picked Kyle Fletcher because we're money almost every time
when we do these picks. People, what do you think
about Kyle Fletcher and how far do you think he

(08:21):
can go up the ae W ladder. Dude, I think he.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Could be the biggest star over there. I'm not crazy
about his current gear.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
You hate the pink in the white.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
You don't like and also like, I just never like
this the slinky little underwear. It's my biggest criticism of
Randy Orten or any of the guys that wear that stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
It fuck that called it sleeky, bro.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
It's too much, it's too little, Like, let's wear the pants.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
I even like a Veilly Cantilly glad.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
But you know, that's how you show off those big, big,
big oily muscles, and so that's why these guys have
always done that, and that's why they still do it.
You work that hard on your body, you want to
show it off. I think he could literally be the
face of aw I think i'd like to see what
he does as a face, you know, as a babyface.
I'd like to see if he has one.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
I totally think he could. I think he'd be a
great babyface champion one day. But this heel run is awesome.
He's like difference, yeah, like as much as like when
Nathan Jones came on the scene back in the day,
I was like, man, this guy's just big, Like I
don't like anything about this dude. I'm like the exact
opposite on cow since his tag team stuff. I was like, man,

(09:30):
this dude could be like a big time, big time
player in the wrestling game, and he's kicking ass Man
and with Don kallis forget it. Don Kallas is on
another level right now. He's so much in the zone.
His stuff on commentary is super funny and good. That
the interference that he provides in the matches is always
organic and cool. He interacts with the crowd really well too,

(09:50):
and like reacts to their insults and gets really offended
by them and doesn't play it too cool for school ever.
He's always like, oh, he sun up him? How could
you say that? He just plays the victim a lot.
He's really good at it, and that combination of these
two guys I think is super cool. And I agree
with you, Jeff. I think that the sky's the limit
for him. I don't think you should rush it, but
I think he could be a top dude for sure

(10:11):
in a couple of years and just let it happen
naturally and organically, and all of a sudden, he's in
that Casino Gauntlet Royal match in like a year and
a half and he wins the whole thing, and everyone's like,
oh shit, he's going to be champ. And then you
can be on that boat with him and enjoy that
ride man. Speaking of boats in Australia, I was on

(10:35):
a when we did Scooby Doo. The whole crew had
to go to this island. The whole cast and credit
go to this island and they offered us the wristbands
so you don't get see sick. And everybody was like
macho and was like, oh need that. This shit doesn't
even work. And I was like, well, I take it
just to be safe, and Sarah was like, yeah, they work,
don't worry, and so we're both wearing him. Everybody got sick. Dude.
I was holding both Rowan Atkinson's kids hair bike behind

(10:57):
their head was they were puking off the side of
the boat. Had to go help Linda Cardelini so she
didn't fall off the boat. While she was yacking off
the other side. The director had these twin girls. They
were barfing everywhere, not even over the side, just everywhere.
Everybody was like that stand By Me movie where there's
just bombing all over the place, and Sarah and I
are sitting at the battle of the boat like this
is the worst trip ever. So on the way back,

(11:19):
I was like, yo, I'm chartering us a freaking helicopter.
And we're flying back and we're not dealing with that nonsense.
And the studio was like, you can't do that. If
there's an accident and we'd lose you guys, then you know,
it's an insurance thing. And I was like, all right, fine,
we won't do it. So on the boat, I booked
it for an hour earlier so they wouldn't know, and
we just got there an hour early and jumped down
the chopper and flew fucking home. I didn't care what

(11:40):
they said, and we lived. We lived, Jeff, So it
was it was all good. But anyway, please continue. That
just reminded me of Australian boat. Sorry, and I'm going
to Australia at the end of the month first for work. Yeah. Oh,
they're gonna love you down there. I told you when
I was shooting down there that they were gonna just
after like talking to the dudes and restaurants and like
the waiters and like other I was there alone for
a little while, so I just talked to random people.

(12:02):
I was like, oh, Jeff, I remember texting you this.
I was like, you'll kill down here.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
The first thing I thought it was you when they
booked it. My find Friday's showed me a giant ass
spider and I'm not very excited about the bugs. That's
all I've been thinking about is the spiders.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yeah, that part's not good.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
So what I was gonna say about Kyle Fletcher and
AW and I think it's more of an AEW subject,
But I think they have a heel problem at ae
W where and and correct me if I'm wrong? Comment
on the podcast message me DM me at me on
these social media's if I about what you think about this.
But it seems like AEW is so edgy and it's

(12:42):
so new, and it's so like cool, and like I
feel like it makes because it's edgy. It's everyone is
like a heel, Like every wrestler is just super.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I see you because the fans like them all so
much that you don't get the general heel response that
you're hoping for, because a lot of the fans actually
like the heels more than the yeah yeah. I mean
not with anybody against will Osprey they boom, but other
than Will Yeah. I think you're right because even MJF
although this run was better for them not cheering him

(13:16):
so much, but the last time he was a heel
like a shithead heel. They were loving it. They were
like he's ours, he's our asshole, like he's our scumback are.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Like edgy, badass dudes, and that's great.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Hang man, Yeah, hang man, burn swerves house down. He's
a babyface champion heel.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
MJF always a heel, John Moxley very aggressive, Like they're
all like aggressive heels. They're cool heels, So are cool heels.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yeah, we get mad when people beat up Darby, and
we get mad when people beat up Will. But that's about.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
It, when we think it's unfair or something.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
But other than.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
That, yeah, that's pretty good man. I mean, Moxley gets
a lot of love, but he also gets the most
hate too. But he's like their biggest their their biggest dude.
But yeah, that's a good point, dude, because it's so edgy.
It's like everyone's Han Solo. Everyone's the coolest guy in
the movie Nobody. Yeah, nobody wants to be Luke Skywalker
because that role is boring. Han Solo.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
It's like, yeah, a lot of C three pos. Right,
you've got the orange Cassidy's, You've got the.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Damn don't compare.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
They're not like faces, Orange, Cassidy Dan Housen, what's that
that one girl who does the crazy thing? Like they're
like these kind of like fun lovable things, but they're
not really like unlovable things star heels or sorry, they're
not really like the star like faces like John Cena
or something.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
I love it, freaking love it all right, we're moving,
We're moving, not man. The moral of this story is
Kyle Fletcher's badass Mercedes Money versus Alex Windsor versus Perce
from CMLL versus bo Zilla, who I had never seen.

(15:07):
She's six foot one, super big. Her dad was a wrestler,
but I wasn't familiar with him, and she's like twenty
one years old and just a frigging nightmare in there.
And this was gonna be to me, the hardest match
or the easiest match to call, because I didn't know
most of the people outside of Mercedes Monday. And she

(15:29):
ain't losing it randomly like it's gonna mean something when
she loses it. And Alex picked the same thing as myself.
I'm sure Jeff would have picked Mercedes as well. But
this was a cool match, and usually if it's more
than two people, I'm like or three people. I'm like,
I don't know, it's a little too much nonsense, but
it was really cool. Quick finish, not a quick match,
but a quick finish. And Mercedes Monday, of course keeps

(15:51):
all her belts still. You know, I'll give him this.
I get what her story is now, her story is
the belts. I just to me, I would prefer a
different story. So I'm not saying they don't have one.
I'm just saying I'd prefer a different one. But she
still wrestles badass. She's as good as anybody in the ring.
All her moves are super clean, she protects people in there,

(16:13):
she's super smooth, she's super cool, and she can act too.
So I wish they would would challenge her a bit
more or or whoever's right. And maybe she's writing for herself,
like you know, be comfortable with more discomfort and take
more chances with her because I think she has the
range to do it. What about you, sir?

Speaker 3 (16:29):
A big Mercedes Bonett fan. I love everything she does,
and even right now where it feels like, you know,
we don't talk about her much because she's over at
eight e W. I think she's I think she's she's
the best, and I hope she comes back to WW.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
A return. Well, she's making so much money, she ain't
going back. They're cutting salaries lefting or trying to. Y're
cutting salaries left and right with these wrestlers, and the
wrestlers are like, all right, go ahead at WW like
you cut my salary, but then cut my dates, and
all of a sudden like oh oh, well, maybe you
can keep your money there, but yeah, they want to
keep their bonuses, so they're trying to make all the
labor cut their friggin salaries, which is dirty f in business.

(17:10):
And the movies and TV are doing it too. It's
super gross. You know, it's not gross British wrestling. British
wrestling is pretty and pure. It's all about technique and
leverage and submissions. There's nothing gross about it. You don't
have to bleed if you're in a British match. And
this was the most British match I've ever seen in
my life. Unless there was a match with Regal and

(17:31):
the British Bulldog, then I guess that would be even
more British. But this was pretty damn British and I
enjoyed it thoroughly. I picked Zach Saber Junior to win.
I think everybody knew Nagel McGinnis wasn't there to win
another World championship. He just loves the art of wrestling,
wants to demonstrate that art, and got to do it
with somebody that he knows, respects, and probably has a
lot of love and admiration for in Zach Saber Junior

(17:53):
being that next generation of wrestler, super cool match, love
all the moves. Sometimes I'm always like, when they're in
one of these mos, I'm like, dude, just punch them
in the face. He'll let go. But not in British wrestling.
In British wrestling, you respect the other man's hold and
you have to find your own form of leverage to escape,
get out and reverse the hold. Zach Saber Junior I
got familiar with when they were doing the the WWE

(18:15):
Network and they had that like I think it was
the Cruiserweight Continental Classic or whatever they call it now
that's aw two, but you know what I mean, the
light guys. He was one of them, and he put
on great matches and so I've actually seen some of
his new Japan stuff because of that, and he's really
really awesome and put on a great match. I loved it.
What are your thoughts on British wrestling, Jeff.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
I don't really know much about Brittany British wrestling if
I'm being you do know you do? Now? Don't really know?
Don't ask me about British wrestling. I have no takes.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
What about British spies? How's your Double O seven trivia
knowledge outside of GoldenEye?

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Very bad?

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Oh? The video game? Because you probably played the video game.
All right, So Jeff's anti England. Yes, you're anti You're
anti England. You chose, you choose not to learn. Even
when people give you information, You're like, no, no, they
don't want to hear about it.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Okay, I'm from Kent, Washington, which is named England. I
know that. And the first time they ever booked me
to play in England they sent me to the Isle
of Wight, which I think nice. This is coming off
real racial, you know, just sending me the Isle of Wight.
But showed nice and I loved it there. All right,

(19:30):
I take it all back. I take it all back.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
I know that said, how'd you like the old guy
versus the young guy?

Speaker 3 (19:37):
That I can speak on I thought was absolutely. I
felt like I was kind of learning about these guys
for the first time. In a way.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
It was great.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
It was a great match.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
I like the stories where it's the old guy giving
it one more good shot, because it reminds me of
like Jimmy Connors in the eighties with Wimbledon, when all
of a sudden he was like, not even ranked and
he starts beating all these guys and I think he
made it all the way to the quarterfinals, and people
were like every match, They're like, this will be the
one he loses, and he'd find a way to win.
This is the one he's gonna lose.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
I just watched F one last night, and.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Oh, didit? Is that the story? I see it? My
son saw it. And by the way, my son, I'm
not trying to like big him up too much, but
he goes to this go kart place and he loves racing.
He loves the F One movie. I did to press
the day they saw it, so I still haven't gotten
to see it yet. And we got a theater in
this house, dude, so I'm going to watch it on

(20:28):
our big screen and check it out. They said, you
know your son just broke the track record on the track.
He broke twenty seven seconds. We'd like to offer him
a free lesson with an F four driver, and he'll
just give him like track information, track knowledge, how to
take turns in these go carts, stuff like that. I
was like, oh, he'd love that. And so he goes
and does that, does the lesson, and he's I told

(20:49):
you before, he's competing in these tournaments and he's like
winning almost every one of them. And it's twelve to fifteen,
so he's beaten teenagers that are about to have their license.
So anyway, they recommended that we say him to racing
school so he can learn how to actually like F
one race, And so we're actually doing we know a
couple of people the race. Sarah worked with Patrick Dempsey
who races, and we know somebody who knows Frankie Munez,

(21:11):
who races, and so he reached out to both of
them and they both recommended the same race school randomly
without without talking. So I think we're gonna send him
to race school because that's his dream, that's what he
wants to to be great, and if.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
He's already gotten like a little itch for it, that out.
That'll be awesome.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
He finally found this thing. Dude. He's a little guy,
so it's like football. He was speedy, but not big
enough to play tackle like he would have been. He'd
have been chewed up. They don't offer wrestling anymore and
a lot of schools in California so he can't do that.
And it's it's true, Jeff, like how you get rid
of wrestling? That wrestling builds good men. It builds so
much character and so much humility. And it's a different

(21:47):
type of game than football. It's not a team sport.
When you lose, you can't look to your left or right,
you can only look inward, and that builds growth. And
they've gotten rid of it, and not just California, but
in a lot of frigging schools, and that's bullshit, and
everyone who votes for that stuff, y'all should be ashamed
of yourself. But anyway, he found his thing and it's
racing and he loves it. And I have a heart
attack every time he goes, because it's terrifying to watch

(22:08):
these things go fast as hell. Twelve years, we finally
found his thing and he knows what he wants to do,
so I'm super happy, and I just thought i'd share
that with our listeners too.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Love that.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
The biggest upset of the night and my first wrong
of the night was Brodiito versus the Hurt Syndicate. The
champs come home FTR in a three way tag team championship,
and I picked FTR to win this, so did Alex,
because I thought the storyline would be then Edge and

(22:48):
are coping Christian going dang it going after the championships
for like one last championship run against FTR who tried
to kill Adam Copland. Right, So I got the whole
story wrong and I got the matro and Brodido gets
the upset, which turns their whole tag team division upside
down and kind of resets it and gives everybody an
opportunity to kind of have a new story, which is

(23:08):
which is smart and cool. I just wish I would
have been right. So I'm pissed off and I think
it sucks. No, I'm just kidding. A super fun match.
Brodie King is awesome and the match was really really solid.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Man.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
I freaking love Bobby Lashley and I hope he goes
after the World Championship once MJF gets it, and we'll
get into how wrong I was on that one too,
and I should have just picked hang man. I'm so stupid.
But anyway, what'd you think of the three way tag
team championship match.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
I love these type of matches. I love the Hurt Syndicate,
big fan. I definitely would have picked them. I would
have been wrong about this if we were making our predictions.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Kazuchi Ko Kata the champion versus Swerve Strickland the challenger.
Should have got this one right. Didn't read the dirt sheets,
wasn't on the internet, didn't know Swerve was hurt, didn't
know he was gonna get surgery, or I would have
picked Swerve to lose. I picked Swerve to win. I
was way wrong on this. Okata continues to defy the
odds and retain his championship in dominant fashion. Jeff ah

(24:04):
at finishing dudes with his finisher No BS. You know
he's with Don Kallis, so there's a little BS, but
we like that BS. Swerve needs knee surgery, so we
wish him well, fast, quick, super healthy recovery. Hopefully it's
not that big of a deal and he's just getting
stuff cleaned up, because he still looked totally fine in
the friggin ring, So hopefully it's just a little clean

(24:24):
up process and he'll be back soon. But I'll kinda
still the man, which means he still gets to call
everybody a bitch, including you and me, Jeff, and there's
nothing we can do about it. We're just two bitches.
You didn't like that, He's shaking his head before he
even spoke. I'm just kidding, man, I'll just kidding. How'd

(24:46):
you like the match? My dude? How'd you like the match?
I'm going to tell you something, whether you liked it
or not, that I think will make you like it
when you're done.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
You won't expect me to say what I'm about to say.
But I'm over Swerve. I'm over it.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Whoa, I did not that's the last thing I thought
you were gonna say.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
I thought, like, like two years ago, or I'm not
good at predicting timelines, but I thought he was doing
his best work. And now I don't see it as much.
I still think he's just he's he's got talent, he's
very he's good. But I've I've lost my like this
is the guy and this is the guy who needs
the push. And this is also didn't he used to

(25:23):
go by kill switch and now Lucasaurus is going by
kill switch? Is that accurate? Maybe we get a galax
to confirm that I thought used to.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Be kill switch something like that. And in Luca Underground
I think, or kill shot. I think maybe anyways that
might have been. That might have been what's his face,
bald head, dude, pretty ricky, what's his name? Ricochet? He
might have been that might have been him and Luca Underground.
I can't remember, dude, I'm old and that was a
long time ago. I'm shocked to hear you say that

(25:54):
about Swerve. Do you think it's because he's not in
top stories? He's been in more mid card stories and
that's just not as exciting or is it just.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
I'm just very uncompelled with what they're doing with them.
So maybe I should be blaming the writers or blaming AEW,
but I you know this wrestler. I have to just
say the wrestler that I'm impressed with, So it's hard
to I don't know how to blame the writers or
to blame AW, but I'm just so out on all
things swerved for the last year.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Blame everyone, sir them all, turn it around, Blame Tony
Storm for not helping. All right, So now I'll say
that for when I think it's going to happen, all right,
Moving on, Timeless Tony Storm the champ. She took a
beating in this match. She took on Athena and she
had to go to a little chicken wing in order

(26:46):
to little boneless chicken wing or now it was probably
a bone in chicken wing. Super Spicy got the tap,
but she was getting whooped on and Athena was talking
smack and throwing it around and letting people knows it's
her time, and she was too cocky and she got
caught in the submission after a wicked beating, Tony Storm

(27:07):
came out with the old school makeup. She almost looked
like a mime out there, or like Charlie Chaplin in
his first movie movie ever. But she got the victory.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Marilyn mon Road so silent, that's what she said.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
No more promos, just holds up a card that says
what she's thinking.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
That'd be amazing.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
I mean, they already black and whiter, they might as well.
So yeah, so she got the win. Our producer Alex foolishly,
foolishly chose Athena. Oh, how could you choose it? That's
she's my friend and I knew she was gonna lose.
You're not beating Tony Storm, not today, not tomorrow, not
for quite some time. The right challenger has not come
along quite yet. Could be Jamie Hayter who made a return.

(27:53):
We don't know. Could could be could be they had
what's her face, Isla Fisher or not Isla Fisher, Aila
Dawn Islad made her return. Could be her, you don't
know if you build her up the right way. But
the right girl's not out there yet. I made you
guys a lot of money until this match. Let me
just say, if you listen to the episode, I struggled
with this one, and I should have gone with my

(28:15):
gut because why would Hangman lose his championship right after
he won it? Like? What what kind of crap booking
would that be? Well? You know who crap booked that?
Your boy? All right? Cause I picked MJF. I got
stuck on this story that I want to see happen
because I want to see a Bobby Lashley versus MJF
match and we don't see that unless one of them's champion.
I don't think you're gonna get a number one Contenders match.

(28:35):
I don't think you're want to waste that first time
on a number one Contenders match between the two of
them on TV. You want to save it for a
pay per view first time ever and then get them
in the ring. And I got caught up on my
own booking so much that I outbooked myself and I
ended up booking like crap and looking like crap. I did,
but I booked it and I looked it, and it hurts,
and I'm sorry I was wrong. I should have believed

(28:57):
in Hangman, to be honest with you, I did. I
knew you were gonna win. I just got caught up
in my own bullshit, and I'm here to take Everyone
knew I was wrong. None of y'all bet with me.
You guys knew I was wrong.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
And tremendous amount of regret about this. I'm shocked that
you feel. Well.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I don't like when I know it and I go
against my gut, you know what I mean? Like, I
like I want to get all these right. I don't
like getting any of these fucking matches wrong and it
pisses me off, and I'm pissed that I lost, but
he hit the buckshot Larry. The good news is m
Jeff still has a chance because he still has his
contract and he can cash it in and he can
get that second chance, and then he can get to win,

(29:34):
and then we can get to Bobby Lashley and him.
But I'm not gonna make the same mistake I made
this time. Jeff, you love hang Man this match. You
know this match was bad ass. I dare you to
say it wasn't.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
No, I love this match also, Hell yeah like that,
Like from the second either of these guys come down
the ramp to the second the match is over. Like
I don't care if MJF wins or hang Man Out
of Page wins because I love both so much. So
it was great. I wish would have been longer, but
it was great.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
The lights out Steel Cage match. We explained to you
what this was last week. We're not going to do
it again. But all you need to know is it's unsanctioned.
That's what the lights out part mean. So anything that
happens AW is not responsible for. Will Ostprey told us
that last week as well, so there was the good
guys versus the back guys. It's a lot of names

(30:25):
to get through you know who is in the match.
The winner was ton of Hashi, who pinned Nick Jackson
with a high fly flow. You knew it was going
to be one of the Jacksons that took the L
on this because their luck has been horrible lately. They're
getting visitor passes instead of getting treated like talent. They're
having to write in crappy ubers instead of sweet limousines

(30:45):
because they got all crushed and fucked up and then
they lost their EVP status. Now they're getting treated like punks.
They don't even get their entrance music half the time.
So they came out there and you knew one of
them was taking the l. He did. But the big
part of this match was the aftermath when will Ospray
was kind of saying goodbye because he has to have
a surgery. He hinted at that in a pretty good

(31:07):
promo the week before said, I meant before they put
a scalpel to my neck, that's what they do. They
cut you through the front when they do spine surgery.
I've had it. There's a scar right there if you
can't see it. And man, scar they cut you, And
he said before they they cut me with a scalpel,
I'm getting my pound of flesh from you, John Moxley
and he went in there and they all beat each

(31:28):
other's ass. Darby Allen got stabbed with a fork in
his ear, which was probably his idea, you sick Pastard.
And then they beat up will Ospray after the match,
beat his ass and he had to be stretchered out
of there. And I don't know how long he'll be gone.
They told me the recovery was six months. I'm not
in the shape will Ospray was in, so I was
out a little longer than six months. It took me

(31:49):
about nine months to a year to be fully one
hundred percent and be able to do jiu jitsu again.
But will Osprays in sick shape, so I think the
six month window is probably more accurate, as long as
it's like a minor version of it and not like
a major Like I had two discs replaced, it took
about a year. If he has one disc replaced, I
don't know if that cuts the time. I'm not a doctor,

(32:09):
but and I don't know the injury. Wish him a
quick healthy physical therapy and surgery and both these dudes
him and Swerve needs to come back, even though Jeff
doesn't think so, and he hates England.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
That's none of that is true. And I'm not a bitch.
This is the Jeff I type of booking that would
be every match in these in these events, if I
was in that writer's room, I love the idea of
a giant cage match of any sort. Also, you already
touched on it, but can we can we knock it

(32:42):
off with the forks and the ears and the sticks with.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
The I just got I just started getting into it.
Now you want to get rid. I was the one preacher.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
All that stuff. It's just like I don't want the
needle through the limp and and you know the sticks
that hang out like they're just like angling in there
because of whatever. Like it's just like those kind of things,
the fork, the pizza roller, those that's the type of
crap that I don't like. I love tables, you know.

(33:11):
I love seeing the four table stack.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Oh my god, bro, they almost missed them. Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
I'm never gonna get tired of those spots. And I
don't even care how clunky they're set up. Let's just
do it. Tables, tables, tables, chairs, chairs, chairs. I don't
need you to be reinventing the wheel with all this
fork and pizza roller crap. I like the classics stuff,
but give me more of it. Bring back the pile driver,
bring back the chair shots. That's the stuff that I like.

(33:39):
But it was a great, great, great match. I think
Darby Allen is the most underrated professional wrestling that's ever lived.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah, you got some big love for me, a lot
of respect, man. He takes a beating better than anybody
out there right now.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Oh man, why aren't there like, why doesn't everyone wear
Darby Allen t shirts and have darlely Because there's that
everyone knows he's good. I'm saying he's underrated. I just
don't think he's as popular as he should be. But
he gives him his love. But I think he should
be the most popular restler in the world.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
Here's the wrap up segment. Jeff, we had big returns
from Hater and Wardlow back from American Gladiators. Excited to
see that I loved American gladiators when I was a kid. Well, yeah, right,
only one title changed hands, Brodido capturing the tag Gold.
Mercedes and Tony Storm continue their reigns. The Ouspran Swerve
storylines leave us with us needing and missing them, but

(34:31):
they'll be back soon enough. The Death Writers still looks
strong and evil, which is good. Mjf's contracts still in play.
Wardlow with Don Kallis, Hello Success. That's Don Kallis is
Canadian for success and the women I don't even know
if he's Canadian. And the women's division stays hot with
a lot of contenders being built up. And that is

(34:53):
the show. Tune in to tomorrow's show, Thursday show on
Sanction where we're going to go over the clash in Powie.
That's French with Paris.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
He spoke very excited about the class and.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
We will see you guys. Then I'm back, and mister Jeff,
I'm mister Frederick Peace.
