Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up Restling with Freddy fans. My name is Alexis Cardoza.
We got meat just here for one more week. I
promise Freddy is going to be back along with Jeff.
I thought i'd jump on here and give you guys
the show this week. Since Freddy's doing his last week
of filming, Jeff is in Australia, which makes the timing

(00:22):
a little crazy.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
So we're going to pick up where we left off.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
But before we do that, I want to wish everyone
a happy Thanksgiving Eve. Of course, if you're listening on
Wednesday when the show drops. Before we jump into the
full gear event, we just wanted to take a moment
and say something that's.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Really from the heart here.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
This show has been rolling for five seasons now, and
the fact that you keep coming back to listen every
single week, it means everything to us here at Wrestling
with Freddie. You make time for us on your drives,
at the gym, while you're cooking, cleaning, maybe hiding from
your family, whatever you're doing. You chose us to hang
out with and we don't take that lightly. The messages

(01:06):
you send online, the jokes you throw at us, even
the hate, the debates, the love.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
This community is the reason why.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Wrestling with Freddie is still thriving and going strong. So
from the whole team and family here, thank you. Thank
you for the laughs, the energy, the support, and for
letting us be a small part of your week. We
appreciate you more than we could ever put into words.
And with that said and out of the way, let's

(01:37):
get right into AEW's.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Full Gear event.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Listen, this event was chaos in the best and possible
worst ways. New champions were crowned, a million dollars was
handed out, friendships were tested, hook hook turning to the
dark side, and swerve strickling, swerve strickling walking back through

(02:04):
the fire to stare down Samaa Joe Man. We're gonna
break down every match. We'll talk a little bit about
what happened during the Tailgate brawl. We won't get too
much into that, but there was something that happened in
that event that led into shaped out some of the
matches at Full Gear and the main card, that bloody
Steel Cage main event, what each result means and where

(02:28):
ae W and these wrestlers go from here.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Hey, let's get right into the show.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
And now your main event, introducing the hosts Wrestling Within,
Freddy Check Died and Freddy Frett tune.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
What's up, everybody, It's producer Alex and this is your
Full Gear. Twenty twenty five post show Deep Dive. We're
gonna we're gonna talk a little bit about what happened
out there in New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Som Joe spoiler alert is your new AW World Champion.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Chris stat Lander kept her grip on the women's title
FTR once again on top of the world and a
prediction that I made out of nowhere. Ricochet just became
your first AW National champion and the elite man. I
WI also made a prediction about this on last week's show.

(03:39):
I said how they were threading that line of good
versus evil? Where did they go? They're looking back at
Kenny every week saying, damn, like should we help?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
What should we do?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
There's somehow back together We're gonna get into that. We're
gonna go match by match here give you the finish,
the story beats right and what's next for everyone involved?
Because this show here's all about the storytelling end where
that story goes, and the story could either be told
in the ring and a fight, or it could be
told on the mic, or it could be told backstage.
Either way, that's what we do here wrestling with Freddie.

(04:10):
So let's get right into it. I want to talk
a little bit about the Eddie Kingston and Hook versus
the work Horseman feel good victory, but old Man, oh man,
it looks like Hook was standing side by side with
Eddie right pure love there. And this is important. This

(04:34):
is important because Hook Hook does something heinous later on
a swerve on the audience. Trust by the way, not
just on Hangman or on Eddie. He literally swerved everyone.
The next match that I do want to get on
here from the Tailgate bra is the CMLLL World Triols

(04:57):
Championship match, which was SkyTeam Mystico mascarad Neon versus the
don Kallis Family, Echicroda and Takeshika. This match here, this
match here was fun to watch because the aw did
the same thing as the day before with the tail
Greate Brawl where the last five minutes of the match

(05:19):
bled into the main card. WCW back in the day
used to do this. We We've mentioned it before. It's
such a great shot too. The matches going on to
beating the crap out of each other, the fireworks, the pyro,
everything's going off. The crowd is loving it. The crowd
is just going ape shit in the stands. By the way,
North New Jersey showed out again full Gear for Geek

(05:41):
five years in a row. They continue to prove that
they are one of the tent pole events.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
For ae W Man.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
But yeah, so I love I love full Gear. It
just it's become one of my favorite fall pay per
views alongside Survivor series.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
I love Survivor series as well.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
So I'm not happy about this because I already started
letting you guys down. We have Darby Allen versus Pac.
Man Poc tortured the hell out of Darby Allen. He
had those legit burns and from the match that he
had with the Flaming table, and man Pac just tortured him.

(06:23):
He was giving him burns, you know, with his hands,
like just rubbing his arms and the blisters and oh
my god, uh, just the.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Meanest heel work. I said this a couple of shows back.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Pac reminded, you know, Pac is one of those guys
that I have to remind myself that he was in
WW at one point because his to me, his career
in WWE.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I don't remember it. I don't remember any of the matches.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
I don't remember anything he did unless I actually look
it up to kind of like see what he did there.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
But boy, oh boy, was this a good match.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Poc Oh delivers, Darby survives the Brutalizer and locks in
a scorpion deathlock. Within the match, of course, we have
Wheeler you woulda running out Darby chasing him.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Off, and I.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
In all of this chaos, Pop grabbed us things bat
you know, spiked Darby with it, and that's when I
was like, oh, he's not coming back from this.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
He pins him.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Bryce kind of hesitated to count to three to see
if there was going to be a kickout, because there
was a lot of kickouts into this match, and.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
No, that was it.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
That was it. I picked Darby Allen to win this one,
so I said before immediately, immediately, I set you guys
up for disaster.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Here, I let you down. I will see this though.
One of the reasons.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Why I love AW pay per views is because of
how unpredictable they are. You know, I honestly would have
gone with Darby Allen if you would have given me
one hundred votes. I think I think maybe ninety nine
out of one hundred votes I would have gone with Alan.
This story arc that he has going on with the
death Writers is has not felt off or odd or

(08:15):
old because the death Writers continue to find ways to
torture the hell out of Alan. Alan sometimes comes back
and says, you know what, I got ways to make
you cry, ways to torture you myself, and he does
more often than not.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
More often than not, Alan finds ways to do some
of the craziest stuff I've.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Ever seen in professional wrestling. In the last decade. He
looked like he was overmatched. He tries to fight his
way out of it, but you know, he's a madman.
He's a madman. He's gonna fight through it, and he's
always almost gonna win in these in these types of cases.
But unfortunately we did not see Darby Allen come off

(09:05):
with this one.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
This one.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I think that Pac versus Darby rematch, will you know,
there's gonna be a possibility that that will happen.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Sting has retired, but Sting still makes his presence felt
in way, so you can possibly have a Sting involvement
to have Yuda being kept out of the match. If
there is a big blowoff match coming up later on,
you could have a no DQ something where Darby gets

(09:35):
to lean all.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
The way in into his violence. We all know he
loves this.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
It's his wheelhouse and unfortunate for the Death Writers Day,
this is something that they have to deal with if
they're gonna fight Darby Allen. This next one here, the
Women's Tag four Way Timeless Love Bombs Win. That's Tony

(10:05):
Storm and Mina Shirakawa. They faced the babes of Wrath,
Harley Cameron and will and Nightingale, the Sisters of Saint
Julia Hard and Sky Blue and Megan Bain and Marina Shaffir.
Marina Shaffir scary man. She's legit, legit, scary. I wouldn't
mess with her. She puts you in the mother's milk.
If you don't know what that is, look it up.

(10:25):
I think you're done for. I think you're done for.
The Winners of this match choose the stipulation for their
semi final match in the AW Women's Tag Team Tournament.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Listen.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
We didn't have a pick for this match. I probably
would had not picked. To be completely honest, Tony Storm
and Miroshka would win. I don't know why I would
just in my head, I did not want to pick them.
I would have, honestly maybe gone with one of the
younger talent. Well for the world title picture for the

(10:58):
women here, this is a I know that these are
new titles and they have to get established, and I
know a lot of the time the old thought it
is like, well, you know, a semi veteran, someone who's
you know, been champion in some case could win these
and blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
I think that you let the titles grow with a
young team you put you know, why not take a
wild shot here and and put it on.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Maybe the Sisters of Sin. You know, I know that
Megan Baine and Marina Shaffir will blow off soon. I
think Marina is the type of person that's going to
be like, well, Megan, you didn't pull your weight, so
I'm gonna knock you out right. But the Sisters of Sin,
Julia Hart and Sky Blue are definitely worthy contenders for
the tech titles. But but again, you know, with with

(11:49):
this whole thing, you kind of leave the door open,
you know, for all of these teams to fight their
way back up, and I think at every pay per
view that AAW has, you sort of have to have
the titles being defended. I think that if you want
to establish the World Tech Team titles for the women,

(12:11):
they have to be defended. Try I would stay away
from trying to defend them every single week, but I
think that defending them every.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Month at a pay per view would do very well
for the titles.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Opposite of you know, a lot of people, including myself,
were very upset with the way that the women's titles
were being defended in WWE. I would suggest, whether they
listen to me, I'm just a producer here, to go
ahead and really take these titles seriously and defend them
on a monthly basis at the pay per views. And

(12:46):
AW loves doing their tournaments, you know, to fight their
way up to different titles. Use that lean into it.
You know, if you're not going to defend the titles
at every pay per view, then you sort of like,
you know, you have your your your somewhat title match,
you know, would be title contenders, have a match at
the pay per views that would lead to hey next

(13:08):
pay per view, we're gonna these They're the ones we're
gonna go for. Like, you just have to find ways
to keep them relevant. Don't just have titles on somebody
just to have them. Now we move over to the
ae W Men's World tag titles. Ft R defeated Brodido
and Dido and Brody King f TR via shadow Machine

(13:30):
on Brodido, FTR become the record tying three time a
e W champs an absolute war of match, Bendido kicking
out of spike pile drivers and shadow machines, Brody King
wrecking fools man he is. He is something else. I

(13:53):
don't know how to put this is a big man,
a big man. He did a massive dive where Stokely
just ate his entire body weight man.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
He is a big man.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
After insane near falls and a spike pile driver on
the apron, Bendido still wouldn't go down.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
He's another one. Bandido is.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
He to me seems like a workhorse type of wrestler,
and I love that for him. I love whether he's
in WWE, AW, TRIPLEA, anywhere CMLL. He is just one
of those guys that seem like he's a workhorse. But
FTR finally hit one more Shadow Machine and you know

(14:41):
they kept him down for the one two three. This
was my sleeper pick. I picked FDR to walk away
with the titles. I did mention that it's just better
when the babyfaces are chasing the title. FTR is they
just they're nasty on the mic. I think that they
just have a I mean, they're getting into fights with fans.

(15:04):
You see every single week cash Wheel is just getting
into some type of argument with a fan and and
the security always having to intervene and get in the way.
What a It was a good, hard forought match. Ftr's
back on the top of the division. Tag Team, They're
going to the tag team of our generation, right they

(15:24):
they reinforced that listen with Brodido there, they got protected
in defeat. I think they did. Bendido kicked out of everything.
Brody looked like a monster. They lose the belts, but
they still feel like they're made men, like they can
still go after the titles again.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
They don't look weak. They didn't.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
They didn't get played in a sense you know where
they just they just look like a bum team that
as always in professional wrestling, that there would be dissension
and they'll fight each other. That didn't that didn't look
like it right here. Now have the Bang Bang Gang,
the Young Bucks once again, a rematch against Brodito, Like

(16:06):
this is the way that they can go. There's a
lot of tag teams in the division, the Hurt Syndicate.
There's a lot of moving parts here when it comes
to the world title though the World Tag Team Title division,
they're not.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
There's not a shortage of matches, right, so there's a
lot going on there.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
This next match, by the way, another one that I predicted.
I just I put it out there, guys. I hope
I made you some money. The Casino Gallet match. Ricochet
becomes the first ae W national champion. I mentioned this
on the show last week. Ricochet pinning Kevin Knight with
the Sperry gun. After you know, the insane fighting with

(16:54):
Cassie Juda, lastly Benjamin.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
All them in the ring. Wow.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Wow, it was a good match. It was a very
very good match. Cassidy almost wins. Racusche survives absolutely everything
and everyone there. Cassidy has you know, at the end,
has Ricochet set up for the Orange punch.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
You just stops it.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Nylance, the Big splash, Ricochet crushes night with the spirit
of gun like I said before, and gets the pin
to become the inaugural champion. As I mentioned before, I
did call this, Ricochet would become your national champion.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
And here we are who better.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
To be honest, He's been a workhorse since he joined AEW.
When you look at Ricochet's work since he first came
into AEW, as you know, pretty ricky as for he
likes to call him, He's absolutely done everything right. He's
done everything right. He has worked his his ass off,

(17:57):
He's done a character change. He has his own stable,
which we'll get to in a little bit later about stables.
He has been in matches in and out. He sells well.
He's done absolutely everything that he can in his path
to AW National Champion.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I believe that he can defend it well.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
This is a great car like mid car title, lower
mid card title to have in people's hands. I think
that there's a lot of wrestlers in the mid to
low almost high there that could really shine when it
comes to going up and trying to elevate themselves to

(18:42):
become AEW National champion. It's a Day one defining win
for Ricochet. I do believe that there's going to be
a lot of challengers for Ricochet, and it's cool, man,
it's cool.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
National title is going to become a showcase belt.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
You know, you can have Ricochet versus Cassidy, Garcia, Bailey,
Kevin Knight, Lashly, Benjamin whoever, whoever, However, it's just it's
gonna it's gonna show that there's death within that middle
part of ae W where a lot of wrestlers are
kind of in limbo right now, you know, trying to

(19:21):
see what's next. Well, this is this is their next move.
Next coming up as a no holds bard match with
Kyle O'Reilly defeating John Moxley. What Kyle O'Reilly via the

(19:47):
ankle lock with the chain wrapped around Max's legs. Logs
taps again to Kyle O'Reilly. What what a disgusting brawl?
There were four stabbings chains around. Next, this is their
wheelhouse and Freddy, who did not love blood, Freddy was

(20:08):
probably salivating at this because this is the match that
he was probably like, yeah, give it to me, give
me the blood, because you know, anytime Max is in
the ring, anytime Max is in the ring, something something
like this was gonna happen. Max tried his bull bulldog
choke and submissions on O'Reilly. O'Reilly keeps surviving it. Man,

(20:34):
Kyle traps Mox. Like I said before, in an ankle lock.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
What a match? What a match?

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Max taps out for the second time in ten days
to the same guy.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
I mean, what a way to.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Elevate Kyle as well? Right, move him up in the ranks.
This is really good. This was really really good. Ox
losing this match was not something I expected, but damn it,
it worked. It really worked right. We did not get
a chance to predict this one, but seeing O'Reilly come

(21:14):
and win this as I mentioned just now, Oh, this
is good. Mox's armor has been cracked, by the way,
and this is gonna set up for something big.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
It has to right.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Mox pretends to respect Kyle there at the end does
his thing jump back sand and to attack the injured
arm before bailing when Cassidy and Strong show up. This
is uh, this is good. This is good because aw

(21:52):
had a deficiency in storytelling. Though they were telling stories,
they were setting a lot of things up. A lot
of the stories were being told in the ring. I
don't want to say that they didn't have stories. I
just want to say that they were the death of
the stories sometimes didn't make sense for a lot of people,
specifically to those who don't watch regularly like I do.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
But this is.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Creating future storylines and creating so much depth in what
they are writing and putting out there. Now when it
comes to storytelling, I love it. I really really really
love what they're doing. But it's the year six of
AEW and now they're tapping into their history. I want

(22:37):
you guys to understand six years in that's that's crazy.
That's crazy. I don't think a lot of you were
even alive when Raw came on the air, let alone
WCW Night show that lasted about five years. How hard
it was, you know? It is to like you got
to build these stories and tap into them. You know,
I'll mention this again. WWE has fit sixty years on

(23:00):
top of everyone else. They have stories that they can
tell forever, you know, they do, you know, and and
a lot of the time they do do that. They
tap into the past, and they have so much history
that sometimes you got to give other companies TNA, you know,
aw MLW. I give these guys time to build now

(23:24):
o'reiley's broken armsteps ups for a valiant return arc when
he when he does come back, and he pretty much
has a claim on title shots as well, or at
least a big, big dynamite main event. Right Max versus
O'Reilly Round three will be coming, you know, and it's
probably gonna have huge stakes added onto it. Right the

(23:48):
Death Writers versus Cassidy Strong O'Reilly, you know, is a
trios feud that you can definitely get behind as well.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
You know.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
That's one thing, and I'll say this, that's one thing
that has is and I love I love the I
love and ww starting to.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Do it again. I love factions. I love factions.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
If you guys were not alive during the Nitro days
and thunder Raw early days of SmackDown Boy the late nineties,
there was just filled with so many factions.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
I was such a big faction guy.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
I was creating factions in WWF attitude for PlayStation every
single game that came out, whether it was wcwor or WWE,
I was creating factions. I love factions everything about it.
Give me more facts. I want as many.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Factions as you can bring.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
And I love that WWE sees what AW did with
their factions, and you know their thing with the Vision
and so on, like build those factions.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I think it's great.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
It also gives look what it's done for Bronson, Reid
and Brown breakers a beast. But you know you put
those two together in a team like the Vision, boy
that they just everyone just looks and feels like monsters.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Continue doing it, please, Wrestling, give me more. Next up
does the TNT title match, Mark brisco defeating Kyle Fletcher.
What Mark Briscoe via Froggy bow off a huge ladder
through a table, then the j driiller onto the pile
of weapons, barbed wire, table, tax et cetera. Bam new

(25:31):
TNT champion did not see this coming at all. Absolutely
insane match ladders, chairs, tax barbed wire, screwdriver, both guys again,

(25:52):
bleeding buckets.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Give me blood the way the way.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Fletcher at one point took the screwdriver, put it into
the turnbuck one, faced it upward.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Holy crap. I almost I almost had to look away
on that one.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
I that was just.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
That was crazy.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Fletcher stabs Mark, brainbusters him on tax Mark still kicks out,
which was crazy. This is this is like Brisco's like again,
Wheelhouse too man like brisco Finally, Crucifix Bauer bombs Fletcher
through the barbed wire table and immediately hits the Jay Driller.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Wow. Now, personally I chose Fletcher to keep the title.
I would have loved for brisco to cost all types
of havoc within the Don Kallis family, but I will
take the l on this one since I did choose
Kyle to retain and see where they go with this.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
It was a heartfelt moment for Mark Briscoe, It really was.
It really was.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
But Kyle Fletcher is a beast and this could only
elevate him as a challenger. So look out to see
where Kyle Fletcher goes from here. You know, this is
Mark Briscoe's first aw Singles title. It's an emotional career milestone,
and he doesn't have to join the Don Callus family.
Now a big baby face moment, likely probably one of

(27:33):
the most surprised wins of the night, next second to.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
The one that we're going to talk about in a
little bit.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Here Fletcher loses, but still man looks like a complete
psycho workhorse. His complaint afterward is that Callus's guys didn't
help him, which is going to feed right into the
family drama. And most likely he's going to enter this

(28:01):
Continental Classic. I think that he's going to be fighting
to appoint himself a champion either way to someone and
you know him and Brisco, this this could be a
best out of three. They can go at it again
and have Fletcher kind of take the reins all over again,

(28:23):
like you don't have to have Brisco going deep Right
with the tn T title, Brisco will definitely be defendinging
it against all the violent weirdos. There's gonna definitely be
a Fletcher rematch. As I said before, there's a lot
of people out there again. The tn T title one

(28:44):
of those higher echelon mid card titles that they can
that they're gonna definitely be putting out there and putting
the best wrestlers to go for. We have the one
million Dollar Trios match. The Young Bucks and Josh Alexander
defeated Omega and Jurassic Express. The Young Bucks and Josh

(29:05):
Alexander via BT trigger on Jack Perry. They win to
one million dollars. Let me just let me just tell
you this that I did not see the Young Bucks
and Josh Alexander winning here at all. At all, I
thought that maybe this would continue to be another nail

(29:26):
in the coffin for the young Bucks, but a it worked.
It worked because the story of the match is Omega's
bad ankle and tension between the Bucks and Alexander led
to something bigger. At the end of the match, right
in a wild finishing stretch, Omega hits a one wing
Angel on Alexander on the floor. But in the ring,

(29:48):
the Bucks nail a BT trigger on Jack Perry for
the win, and they walk away with the one million dollars.
Kallus celebrates with the Bucks on top of the ramp
like their family, then Alexander and the rest. So the
Kallis family jumped Omega, beating him up, trying to mess
up his leg even further.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
This is the gray area I was talking about with
the Bucks.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
This is the great area I was talking about with
the Bucks, right, I said, Man, there's times when they
just look back and you feel like they want to help,
like they want to do something. And here it is
the Bucks struggle with the choice of keeping the one
million dollars and celebrating, or hell do I throw this
money down run back and super kick the hell out
of everyone in the ring. They chose to go and

(30:32):
superkick the hell out of everybody in the ring. Lucasaurus
and Perry offer handshakes, which the Bucks take. The crowd
is going crazy. Omega gets up, slaps away the handshake
where we don't know what's going to happen. Is Omega
pissed at them? Is he not gonna take this? Is
Omega gonna walk away? No?

Speaker 2 (30:52):
He turns around and give the Bucks a huge hug.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
The Elite are united again. The Elite are united again.
This goes back to the factions talk. I love this,
I really do full reunion moment. This is a big
emotional payoff. The Elite together are an amazing team. You

(31:18):
have them now as babyfaces. You have Hangman out there
right now struggling, having to fight his way through things.
He's not champion. We're gonna get into that, into that match,
but there's a lott of like come to circle moments
here that you can have. I love what they're doing.

(31:39):
The Elite versus Don Kallas family is an obvious big program.
Multiman tags. Maybe another later on down the line, will
have another blood and guts match unless they are gonna
wait to do it again, you know, in the fall
like they did this year. Oh make us bad Leg
gives the reason to slow burn his singles return, while
the Bucks can more of the tag team stuff.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Right, so again, I love it. I'm here for it.
But last, Oh wait, not last, but not least woo.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Yeah, this is one thing about AW pay per views, right,
they go along, they go along. How can I forget
the AEW Women's World Championship match. Chris Statlander defeated Mercedes
Money Chris Stanlander via the Saturday Night Fever from the
Top after surviving Monet's you know, armwork and insane offense.

(32:31):
She takes the win. She takes to win. I picked
Statlander to retain is the right thing to do. All
these belts don't mean a thing that Monee has unless
she picks up the women's ae W title and that
that's not my opinion. That is what I believe the
storyline is gonna be. She can't, she can't top it

(32:54):
off anymore like she can't win. She can't take the
big one. And that has to play psychological games with you, right.
I mentioned with World's End being the last pay per
view something could happen. She could eventually say, hey, let's
do this one more time, or maybe have a four way.
If you have something like a four way or a
three way, you protect stat Lander and everyone else that's

(33:18):
in that match and have Monee take it. Right, it's
the last pay per review of the year. They tend
to do some crazy stuff at that.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Pay per view. What could be next for them?

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Right? A rematch is possible. As I mentioned before, AW
might pivot money towards another belt, but I don't think so.
I think that Money is gonna have is gonna weasel
her way into this into she has to continue trying.
This has to be the story arc right, This has
to be the story ar arc stat is stat is

(33:52):
winning matches. Statlander is showing that she can hold the
women's title up high and money as a challenger. This
has to be eating her up inside. Has to be
has to be.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Let's now move to the very last match of the night.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
AW World Championship Men's match, Samoa Joe defeating Hangman Adam.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Page in a steel cage.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Might I add Joe via muscle buster on the AW
World title after hooks He'll turn By the way, we
have a new aw World Champion brutal cage match. Both
guys were busted open, Joe targeting Hangman's taped ribs, Hangman
using Joe's blood against him. Shabata tried to interfere by

(34:42):
climbing to cage. Eddie Kingston comes down to run him off.
The ref gets wiped out. Hangman hits the dead eye
and has Joe dead to rights. No referee though hobbs
rips the lock off, storms in with the belt. Hangman
fights him off. Page hits a Buckshot lariot by the

(35:02):
way steal no ref around. Hook Hook runs out looking
like he's there to save the day. To help Page,
he wakes the ref then smiles, grabs the belt and
blasts Hangman in the face. He reveals and ops dojo shirt.
Joe hits a muscle buster onto the belt and gets

(35:25):
the freaking three. After the celebration, the lights go out,
House on fire video plays, Prince Nana appears and Swerve
Strickland returns. He stares down Joe and the ops, then
goes in and destroys the dojo.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Guys. You have Swerve and Hangman standing side by side, glaring.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
Up at Joe. Hook Hobbs Shamata boy, I did not
expect at all. This is what I mean about AW
keeping things fresh the way they do. Incredible victory. But
Samoa Joe Swerve coming back early. He looks and feels
like a goddamn superstar. I'm sorry, but there's this ara

(36:14):
about him and boy that his former employer miss out
on this. Joe winning puts a big target on him,
by the way, and we're about to see what the
hell is going to go down because the world title
picture is going to get really really crazy in twenty
twenty six. Don't forget we still have Max coming back. Okay,

(36:35):
MJF we could have new contenders making their way into
the title picture sooner than later. Man, you have Kyle Fletcher,
you go for it. He's shown that he can hold
the title and be a superstar on his own. Doesn't
mean he has to win, right, But this is crazy.
Samoa Joe's back on top his AW world champion. Now
he's as the head of the full blown hill Army

(36:59):
Ops Dojo. It's a controversial booking call. A lot of
people were saying online. Some think that ending Page's reign
this quick was a mistake, but clearly. It sets up
Joe as the final boss for Swerve and Hangman, right,
it has to, especially with season three of Twisted Metal Greenlit.

(37:23):
You know Samoa, Joe's gonna go off to filming that
sooner than later. Hangman, Page Man, he got screwed again.
He had Joe beat multiple times. This keeps him sympathetic
and gives him a reason to team with his former
mortal enemy to try to take down Joe. And you
know things are gonna break down. Things will definitely be
breaking down hook Hook Finally meaningful things happening for hook

(37:49):
Man full heel turn, officially Obstogia betraying Eddie earlier in
the night. It's gonna sting stings for everyone seeing Hook
just betraying our boy Eddie Man. But the real emotional
knife is turning on Hangman at his peak though, Right,
just like here you go, done Hook and meaningful events. Swerve, Strickland, Swerve, Strickland,

(38:14):
massive return, massive return from his meniscus surgery, straight into
the world title picture without even resting a damn match.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
This is the Swerve. This is this is for me.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
The Swerve is top tier aw guy stamp like he
is it He is it the world title picture. I
said before, it's gonna get crazy, It's gonna get christy.
Plus now you can have Hook versus Eddie Kingston, Hook
versus Darby, Hook versus anyone, because now he's in the dojo.
So there's a lot of people that don't like the dojo,
you know, the ops dojo. Don't be shocked if this

(38:52):
also lands as a big multiman cage match later on somewhere.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Because you have all these other people involved.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
What a show, everyone, What a show. I let you
down on some matches, but some of these predictions that
I did make were spot on. There's just certain things
that you see. And as Jeff would say, I think
Alex has the playbook. I think Alex is writing this,
which is not true. I'm not doing such a thing.
So that was AEW's full Gear twenty twenty five. From
Top to Bottom. Ricochet makes history, Mark Bisco bleeds for

(39:21):
the TNT title, FTR clients back to the top, the
Elite finally hug it out, Chris Statlander plants Mercedan Lone,
and Samoa Joe walks out of Newark, New Jersey with
the world title. Thanks to Hook's stab in the back
only for Swerve Strickland to come marching back into the

(39:45):
title picture.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Let me know what you thought.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Did aw make the right call putting the belt back
on Joe or should Hangman have had a longer run?
And are you more excited for Swerve versus Joe or
the idea of a swerving page actually teaming up like this?

Speaker 2 (40:00):
A lot of ways that this can go about.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
