Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, I'm Michael, and your morning show is heard on
great radio stations across the country like one oh five,
nine twelve fifty w hn Z and Tampa, Florida, News
Radio five seventy w k b N and Youngstown, Ohio
and News Radio one thousand KTOK in Oklahoma City. Love
to have you listen to us live in the morning,
and of course we're so grateful you came for the podcast.
(00:20):
Enjoy jes one, two, three, much matter.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Now start in your morning off right, a new way
of talking, a new way of understanding, because we're in
this together. This is your morning show with Michael O'Dell chorno.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Anybody going through a rough patch of life with me
by their side knows my expression. The only way out
is through ye. The only way out was for you
to do it and do it right this time. I
had to do it once. Good way to go. If
you don't succeed, interrupt the show again. Hey, if you're
just waking up eight minutes after the hour, they're calling
it the Columbian fold, that's up quick. The Columbian government
(01:09):
folded to Donald Trump's threat of tariffs, still take their
thugs back. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has reinstated eight thousand troops
that were discharged from the military for refusing the vaccination
with a back pay. Heg Seth and christin Home, both
confirmed by the United States Senate. Did the puppy shooting
(01:29):
ever come up in the hearings with Christy? I don't
think so. I never heard that. Next up RFK Junior.
That'll be Wednesday, Cash Pattel and Tulsa Gabbard on Thursday.
And I can say this. We're on in a lot
of cities, but not Kansas City or Philadelphia that I'm
aware of. Our worst nightmare has come true the rematch
(01:49):
Eagles and the Chiefs Super Bowl fifty nine in New Orleans. Hey,
I like to have an omelet in the morning. I
could do my pat and a Daddy style cheesy omelet.
High cost of eggs Apparently, no matter what this new
administration does, high cost of eggs is here to stay.
(02:12):
Roory O'Neil has that story. Good morning, Rory, Hey there, Michael,
good morning. Yeah, and blame mostly the bird flew.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
This is a particularly virulent strain that's been around for
a couple of years now. Twenty six million egg laying
hens have been called just since October.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
That's how bad this is. Wow, that's a lot of
eggs off the.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Market, it is, which is why store shelves you will
often find are empty. There are no eggs available, and
if they are, they're pretty darn pricey. In December, the
Bureau of Labor Statistics says a dozen large grade A
large eggs cost four point fifteen a dozen. It was
two fifty one a year before. And even the wholesale
prices are worse. And bacon's not much cheaper. What I
(02:57):
went with, the average cost of bacon, eggs, and toast
is right now. Yeah, no, I mean, it's all of it.
It has gone much much higher. The price you pay
for it. By the way, if you're to go to
a pancake house also significantly more expensive as they struggle
to try to absorb these costs. But a lot of
places are forced to just pass on the higher cost
(03:20):
of staples like eggs. And you know, look, we just
went through baking season, right, so there's a little bit
of a lull, not as much as in the summertime,
but demand is off a little bit. But then it's
all going to ramp up again going into Easter, so
there may not be any relief until late April, maybe May.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
It was just gonna I was just going to ask you, Yeah,
how long do we think this will be? And it's
gonna be it's gonna be months. And of course it's
an ingredient item too, so this could have an effect
on baked goods everything. Wow, all right, in the third hour,
we're going to talk about that hostage exchange. Now you're
doing the chicken dance. Yeah, I just felt it could
(03:59):
be a good way to go. How look, you got
island of the airwaves right the second time. Don't mess
with the chicken. Roy O'Neil has always great reporting. All right,
If you're just waking up four hundred and twenty million dollars,
it may seem like a lot of money, but not
when the United States has a national debt of thirty
six million or thirty six trillion. Rather, although it's a
(04:22):
good start and it just shows how much irrelevant government
spending has been done and President Trump, and again, as
I said, waking up, it'd be two things. Want to
be fun to talk to. Somebody who was far left
was clearly for Biden in his incognitive state, as well
(04:44):
as Kamala Harris you've got to be in awe. I mean,
I have never seen any president hit the ground running
like this. I could pretty much spend all morning long
just keeping you up to speed with what Donald Trump
has done, and you don't really know where to fok
are is stating that the troops today is it creating
the Columbia government fold with the tariff threat. I mean,
(05:06):
before they could even get to the news cycle where
you know, CNN an MSNBC would have said, oh, now
he's going to be driving up more prices and goods
and services. Now it's just the art of the deal.
You threaten them with the tariff, so they take their
thugs back. Colombian government has made it easy and caved immediately.
But you almost cannot keep up with everything Donald Trump
(05:28):
is doing on a daily basis. So Trump's executive order
determinate all federal diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs has already
sidelined three hundred and ninety five government bureaucrats. Trump Is
newly created Department of Government Efficiency DOGE, headed up by
Elon Musk, wrote on x Friday that approximately four hundred
(05:49):
and twenty million dollars in current and impending contracts mainly
focused on DEI initiatives, has also been canceled. Dropping the bucket,
as we said to the thirty six trillion were in debt,
but just another kept promise? What who kept promises mean?
(06:09):
I'm only going to do this because of all the
clips I have today, there's a ton of JD vance.
But just in case we can't get sounds of the
day in, I wanted to do this particular cut.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Now.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
This is Stephen A. Smith on with Bill Maher and
he's talking about how this election. Now there's two themes
in here, and I want you to miss how the
Left majored and minors and the Republicans Trump majored in majors.
(06:46):
But that concept of kept promises and the power of
kept promises is ultimately where Steven A. Smith goes. Here's
Bill Maher and Stephen A. Smith on Real Time Listen.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
Also, not the case that every baby born, which is
what we had for the last four years, is kind
of a jump ball of oh, I don't know, just
as likely, let's not even put the sex on the
birth certificate. Let's let the kid decide when they're five.
That was crazy. So there's going to be this backlash
and that's what you have now, Well, you did bring
it on yourself in a lot of ways.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
He's the deal.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
The man was impeached twice, he was convicted on thirty
four fel in the camps, and the American people still
said he's close to the normal than what we see exactly.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
That's what they say, He's close to the normal. Why,
by the way, Red loves this because sometimes it just
takes a sports analyst to put things, you know, cut
through the chase and put in a clear perspective in
a handful of words. All right, So he's basically saying,
because you right away you get your defenses up right.
Where's he going with it? Well, he was convicted, he
(07:55):
was survived to assassination attempt. But look at the point,
because that was more normal compared to what the left
was selling. Now hear him out, he's going to dust
his thesis out in ninety seconds.
Speaker 6 (08:07):
Listen, Cuz something that pertains when you talk about the
transgender for community, for example, and you're talking about the
issues that pertain the less than one percent of the population.
The Democratic Party came, of course as if that was
a priority more.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
So than the other issues. And so he comes to
the office.
Speaker 6 (08:20):
Now you're talking about child you know, you know, childbirth,
citizenship and what have you. He knows that's not going
to pass the mustard, but he knows that he made
that promise. So when he shows up week one on
Capitol Hilly, he says, this is what we're going to
do through the executive order, even though it's going to
be shot down through the courts and what have you.
He's saying, I kept my promise. A lot of other
things that he's going to point to that he's going
to try to do, I kept my promise. Then you
(08:42):
turn around and you look at the left and you say,
what promises did you keep? Now you might know the
answer to that. I'm certainly not questioning your knowledge about.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
That at all.
Speaker 6 (08:49):
What I'm saying is what resonated with the voter. What
voter out there can look at the Democratic Party at
this moment in time and say, there's a voice for us,
somebody that speaks for us, that goes up on Capitol
Hill and fights the fights that we want them fighting
on our behalf. They didn't do that, and that's why
they're behind a home. And that man is back into
the White House and they want to sit up there
and to you. Look at the networks right now, they're
(09:11):
talking about him.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Look at it. This is the latest look at him.
Here he goes again.
Speaker 6 (09:14):
Well you know what, here he goes again means he's
doing what he said he was going to do. He
promised you he was going to do these things, and
he walked into office week one and that's exactly what
he's doing. And he's saying, y'all do something about it.
And when you try to do something about it, he's
gonna say, look at them now, now they're concerned about
these issues.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Where they talking about that during the campaign. Hell no,
that's really it. That's Stephen A. Smith with Bill Maher
on real time. Yeah. I think it's pretty safe to
say he nails him. So with no credibility, who do
the Democrats run in twenty twenty eight, Well, the Washington
(09:51):
Post came out with its twelve Democrats who make the
most sense, you know, according to the Washington And again,
remember whenever we bring up the Atlantic, Washington Post Asociated Press,
this is the underlying forces of the left narrative. They
feed the narrative to the networks, They feed the narrative
(10:11):
to the intelligency at the universities, So we listened a
little closer. Democrats have no real message. So everything they're
kicking around are people personalities. They've yet to address their platform.
You remember how we were no longer a republic. We
(10:31):
were a democracy than democracy instead of republic, became the
Democrat party platform, and anybody that opposed its ideas, its policies,
it's worldview, or it's candidates were an enemy of the state.
That's all blown up. So what are they now? What
is their platform now? What is their message? They still
don't have one. So all they're kicking around here, first
(10:54):
and foremost is names. But what are the names? Well,
here's their top twelve number twelve, Tim Walls, Tim Walls,
I think we can all agree. Kamala Harris was a
great big flop. Tim Walls was something beneath a great
(11:16):
big flop. Ten was Andy Basher, Kentucky governor. I think
that's a legitimate name for potentially a running mate. Gavin Newsom,
Good luck with that, Rafael Warnock, good luck with that.
Fetterman at five? Can you imagine a hoodie in sweatpants
(11:44):
getting off Marine one? Kamala Harris, Oh please, Lord bring it.
Maere Pete is always a just misted And I don't
think we're riding any LGBTQ waves right now. Gretchen Whitmer,
Governor of Michigan. I could see that. I don't. I
(12:08):
can tell you this. I can't see at the top
of the ticket. They're not going to run a woman again.
Tig run They're right two. Nobody's going for three. Josh
Shapiro at number one, Yes, good candidate, the one that
(12:31):
they have seventh on the list. Now, I think he's
dead on the pick. The question is, if you don't
think you got a shot a winning, do you hold
him for a while. If they think there's a window.
The Republicans have done so well, everybody's you know, doing
(12:51):
so good, we can get away with somebody who sounds
like he'll continue what they're doing, but will give us
the d in office. Wes Moore's their guy, and they'll
play and he'll win. He is the next Barack Obama,
only with a better resume, no clouds of suspicion, just
as articulate, just as charismatic, and a real winner. He's
(13:15):
really their only bench. And I promise you people like
Podesta and sorrows and Obama himself haven't missed that he's
the Trump card. The question is, what are they gonna
throw it? But Wes Moore and Josh Shapiro the rest
(13:37):
of these names. How does the Washington Post even do
it with the straight face?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
It's your Morning show with Michael del Chno.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
If you're just waking up twenty seven minutes after the
hour of these aye on top five stories of the day.
They're now calling it the Colombian Fold. The White House
says the Colombian government suddenly has come to its census
and has agreed to terms after Trump has threatened tariff's.
Mark Mayfield reports.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
In a statement, the White House said that the country
had agreed to Trump's terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of
all illegal inlians from Columbia returned from the United States.
The statement also said the drafted actions on tariffs and
sanctions would be held in reserve and not signed unless
Columbia fails to honor this agreement. Trump is threatening retaliatory
measures after Columbia denied entry to a pair of US
(14:27):
military deportation plights of Lights at all two C seventeen aircraft,
which were carrying about eighty Columbian migrants each from California.
In response, Trump announced on Social Sunday sweeping measures, including
tariffs on Columbian imports, visa sanctions on government officials, and
increased customs inspections and financial penalties.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
I'm Mark Mayfield. What time could we pick them up
at the airport? Vice President Jadi Van says lower prices
are coming, but Americans may have to wait a bit.
Speaker 8 (14:53):
Dance told CBS has faced the nation that the Trump
administration has already implemented measures aimed at reversing inflation.
Speaker 9 (15:00):
Prices are going to come down, but it's going to
take a little bit of time. Right that the president
has been president for all of five days.
Speaker 8 (15:07):
Van sinceis the administration is working to increase the number
of American jobs and improved domestic energy production, both of
which he says will eventually cause the cost of living
to decrease. I'm Tammy trheo.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
It's amazing how much action there is when you have
a real president. A Drug Enforcement Administration raid in Colorado
resulted and seized drugs, weapons, and apprehended international gang members.
Lisa Cardon has the details.
Speaker 10 (15:33):
DEA says its local division operated a raid on a
drug trafficking ring that involved members of the Venezuelan gang
trend to Aragua. Ice agents and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco,
firearms and explosives were also on scene. The DEA said
about fifty undocumented immigrants were taken into custody.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
I'm Lisa Carton all I kept saying over and over
because anything but the Eagles in the Chiefs, anything but
the Eagles and Eagles and Chiefs are your Super Bowl
fifty nine at New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Hey you, this is Mike the Baptist in Cottontown, Tennessee.
My morning show is your Morning Show with Michael Bills.

email Michael d at iHeartMedia dot com if you're just
(16:50):
waking up. The White House says the Colombian government has folded,
agreeing to President Trump's terms after threatening tariffs. We call
it the Colombian fold. It's an instant fold. Okay, what
time do you need us to pick them up? And
Israeli Lebanon ceasefire has been extended. Much needed rain in
the forecast for southern California, though with it comes the
threat of mud slides, and Super Bowl fifty nine is set.
(17:12):
It'll be the Chiefs in the Eagles again, this time
in the Superdome in New Orleans. Well. Donald Trump's return
to the presidency has led to major changes. We do
all we can to keep up with them hourly. Trump
has reinstated eight thousand plus soldiers who were discharged for
(17:34):
refusing to get the vaccine. That little exchange with Columbia
that sends these thugs back to their home country. That's
been resolved his cabinet has virtually all been on a
track to being approved. You can add to that list
heg Seth and Christy Nome over the weekend. This is
a big week RFK Wednesday, Telsey Gabbard and Cash Pattel
(17:58):
on Thursday. But you can set's the difference. This is
a president who has hit the ground running major changes
in the atmosphere, and you can feel it in the
White House briefing room, or at least John Deckercan anyway,
our White House correspondent joins with us. You have worked
with what seventeen White House Press secretaries and every president
(18:20):
since Bill Clinton. I think it's pretty relevant. How different
do things feel? Oh?
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Very different considering what the last administration was like, as
you know, very few opportunities to ask Joe Biden any questions, Michael,
And in addition to that, just not a lot of
I guess you would call it juice or excitement related
to covering the Biden administration. That is not the case
in terms of covering Donald Trump's administration. Yes, it's only
(18:49):
one week exactly that he's been in office, but you
feel a difference in the brief room. I recognize that
there are people that are in that briefing room. I
have never seen before, Michael. I've never seen that before
in my life. And I think that they're there because
they realize this is the center of the universe right now.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
So a lot of people like to compare this to
the position, you know, because you're following Joe Biden, so
an absentee president with a very present president. Or maybe
they compare Donald Trump two point oh to Donald Trump
one point oh. But go back, how does this compare
it to Bush, Clinton, Obama, others that you've covered.
Speaker 11 (19:28):
It's different.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
It's different in the sense that there every day is
a news story.
Speaker 11 (19:34):
Related to something that Donald Trump.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
Has signed, an executive order, executive action, something that he's
put out on social media, some remarks that he's made,
and interactions with the press corps. And I have seen
that transition from Bill Clinton to George W.
Speaker 11 (19:51):
Bush, from George W.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Bush to Barack Obama to Barack Obama to Donald Trump.
Speaker 11 (19:57):
This is different, though.
Speaker 4 (19:58):
This is very different in terms of all of the
executive actions taken by Donald Trump since he's taken office,
very different than even when he took off his way
back in twenty seventeen.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Yeah, and John Decker at White House correspondent is joining us.
I have come to the conclusion that we are who
we are and right where we are by the choices
we've made or our response, sometimes reactions, but hopefully responses
to circumstances out of our control. That's really what shape
Donald Trump. I mean, his surviving everything his enemies through
(20:31):
at him has created a different person and a different
presidency and potentially their worst nightmare.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
But this really all this artifacturer in some a different dynamic.
Also because this is the.
Speaker 11 (20:45):
Second term of Donald Trump, it's the last term of
Donald Trump.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
And in twenty twenty six will be turning our attention
to the midterm elections and already looking ahead to the
twenty twenty eight presidential election. And as a result, Donald
Trump his team realized they have a very narrow window
in terms of doing all the things that they wish
to get done during these next two years with Congress.
Speaker 11 (21:07):
Under Republican control. Things may change after the midterm elections,
and that's.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Why I think there is this focus to get as
much done during this narrow period of time because things
may change in twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
I like when things even surprise me. I remember thinking
we better keep reasonable expectations. He probably can only get
one or two things done in the first one hundred days.
In fact, it may even take a full year to
get the two big things done on the border in
the economy. Now I'm beginning to think he might be
done after the first hundred days. It's everything just to
keep up with the action every day. But these actions
(21:42):
all add up to one thing, John, that I think
it's been a while since you've covered this. Kept promises
and kept promises, whether they follow through and become law
or not, they register very well with voters.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
Well they do, we'll see, you know, obviously the way
Donald Trump's popularity if it moves up, if it moves
down as a result of what you're referring to. But
keep in mind, all of this is taking place in
just one week's time, and all of this is taking
place without the assent of Congress, even though Republicans control
(22:17):
the House. In the Senate, so there is still some
work to get done on the legislative agenda. And that's
where House Speaker Mike Johnson and John soon the majority
leader in the Senate, they come into play. And you know,
Donald Trump meeting with some of those leaders today at
mar A.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Lago, or as we learned with Pete heg Sath, maybe
even JD. Vance comes into play. White House correspondent John
Decker is always great reporting. We'll talk again tomorrow. Thanks mine.
All right, So you know, we kind of look at this.
It's pretty extraordinary everything that Donald Trump is getting done.
And look, if you can get through all of your cabinet,
(23:00):
I don't know, red is that I would make that
the first real hurdle your entire cabinet. Many didn't think
that was possible. In fact, the one who was the
third to be confirmed was the one everybody think thought
couldn't be confirmed, Pete Hegsap, Secretary of Defense. Now next
(23:20):
on the list was probably either RFK Junior or Telsea Gabbert.
RFK Begainst his journey on Wednesday, Telsea Gabbard on Thursday,
along with Cash Bettel. But I don't know that there's
any too many people that I respect who don't think
he's going to get his entire cabinet. He has the
American people completely behind him on the border, completely behind
(23:45):
him on the economy. I feel pretty good about hurdle
two and three right now. In fact, there's something. There's
a term you need to understand. It's called the Overton window.
Overton window. What's that? Well, let a visit with Chris Walker.
You'll find out because it's been replaced and it's wide
(24:06):
open and oh it's the breeze. Wonderful. More on the
Overton windows coming up. Well, hey, we're just waking up
the IRS. We'll start accepting and processing twenty twenty four
income tax returns. Guess when today?
Speaker 7 (24:22):
The official deadline to file your taxes is still April fifteenth.
The agency did note individuals and businesses affected by the
wildfires in southern California now have until October the fifteenth
to file their taxes. California also align the state tax deadline.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
With the IRS. I'm Mark Meathield. President Trump's borders are
is promising that immigration rates against suspected illegal immigrants will
be expanded and continue. Tammy Trehuilo has more.
Speaker 8 (24:47):
Come home and told ABC's This Week that ice rates
will soon go beyond the legal immigrants convicted of crimes country.
Speaker 12 (24:54):
Legally, you're on the table because it's not okay to
you know, by head loss this country. Remember, every time
you enter this country legally, you violated a crime on
the title gnized States cut thirteen twenty five minutes of.
Speaker 8 (25:05):
Crime home and insisted the agency needs more funding from
Congress in order to fulfill its mission. He also confirmed
that immigration authorities will not hesit het to rade schools, churches,
and hospitals, locations that agents weren't allowed to enter under
the Biden administration. I'm tammy trheo.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
President Trump is defending the late night purge of seventeen
inspective generals. Scott Carr has more from Washington.
Speaker 13 (25:27):
The federal Inspectors General are independent government figures charged with
rooting out fraud, waste, and violations within their own agencies.
White House officials confirm over a dozen of them were
fired Friday night because they don't align with the new
Trump administration, calling the move a very common thing to do.
Trump defended their removal while speaking with reporters Saturday. Some
(25:50):
officials claim the firings violate federal law, which requires the
President to give both Houses of Congress cause for dismissal
and thirty days advanced notice.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Got car in Washington a dea raid? Isn't it amazing?
All these same agencies, all these same law enforcement agencies
that existed when Joe Biden was president. They're just all
doing different things today for some reason. The DEA raid
in Colorado resulted in seized drugs, weapons, apprehended international gang members.
Lisa Carton has all the details.
Speaker 10 (26:20):
The DEA says its local division operated a raid on
a drug trafficking ring that involved members of the Venezuelan
gang trend to Aragua. ICE agents and the Bureau of
Alcohol Tobacco, firearms and explosives were also on scene. The
DEA said about fifty undocumented immigrants were taken into custody.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
I'm Lisa Carton, Okay, Hey, I'm glad they did it.
You know, I like law enforcement under Trump's leadership, but
I had to play the clip just you could hear
Lisa Cotton the accent. I like one reporters suddenly become
hispanic when they get toward Hey, Paul McCartney say say.
He's advocating for more protections for young artists against AI
(27:02):
and exploration by tech companies. An interview with the BBC,
the form of to put on the accent for that
form of big you do it too, called for regulations
and decried the fact that anybody can seemingly get ripped off. McCartney,
who was ripped off by Michael Jackson, said that that
money should be going to the artist who created the song,
(27:23):
not to the tech giant somewhere else. Well, your super
Bowl is set, and it's your worst nightmare. It's the
Eagles and the Chiefs again, that old chestnut thunder up
beat Portland Yesterday on the road one to eighteen one.
Oh wait, birthdays today. Country singer Bailey Zimmerman. My daughter
Anna his favorite. He's so cute, he's like so good. Actually,
(27:44):
I hear a lot of these country talent that I
have no appreciation for country music at all. That's really good.
But I will tell you, out of everyone, I think
Bailey Zimmerman might be a real talent. Country legend Tracy Lawrence,
who is the the Fure of Foul. We started, you know,
(28:05):
we have the National Rescue Mission, and we raised money
every year, and then Tracy came along and started doing
the deep frying turkeys at Thanksgiving, which I think we're
up to, like we deep probably like forty thousand turkeys now,
no kidding. Oh, it's quite a system. And he always
brings some friends with him and It's something we started
a long, long time ago. It's become quite the tradition,
(28:27):
country legend. Tracy Lawrence fifty seven years old today. I
wish my friend a happy birthday, actress Mimi Rodgers. That
was Tom Cruise's first wife, which, by the way, we
found out today. Tom Cruise was born in Syracuse, Syracuse, Syracuse,
New York. I'll bet that was Saint Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.
That's where my brother Vick was born, my brother Bobby,
(28:47):
my mom, my dad, my grandparent, no one grandparent. Okay,
I was born at Saint Joseph's Hospital too. But Flint, Michigan,
Mimi Rogers sixty nine years old today. I'm wonder well,
we'll do that out there.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
NFL commentator Chris Collinsworth. Um, I can't stand Tony Romo.
He's my least favorite. Really. I think I think Troy Aikman,
maybe Chris collins Worth. They're by far away my two favorites.
I don't know which one I would give the edge to,
probably probably Troy, but my second favorite commentator Chris Collinsworth
(29:21):
is sixty six years old today. And if it's your birthday,
Happy birthday, We're so glad you were born.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chona.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Are aspired to stop it?
Speaker 11 (29:37):
Don't you ever let anybody take your power?
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Michael Jordan.
Speaker 9 (29:40):
No, no, it is the motto, Yes keep com Oh yes,
come along.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Fifty four minutes after the hour, time for Sounds of
the Day. J D Fans just shined with Margaret Brennan
on the despicable fake news CBS and here's how oh
it sounded. I remember what's the CBS on? Is that
Face the Nation? No, yeah, Face the Nation. Here's JD
(30:08):
vance taking on some questions. This might be my favorite
men of the entire interview.
Speaker 14 (30:12):
When you talk to us in August, you said, I
don't think we should abandon anybody who's been properly vetted
and helped us. Do you stand by that, well.
Speaker 9 (30:19):
Margaret, I don't agree that all these immigrants are all
these refugees have been properly vetted. In fact, we know
that there are cases of people who allegedly were properly vetted.
And then we're literally planning terrorist attacks in our country
that happened during the campaign, if you may remember.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
So.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Clearly, not all of these foreignats now, but.
Speaker 14 (30:36):
There are thirty thousand people in the pipeline Afghan.
Speaker 9 (30:39):
Refuge But my primary as the Vice President, Margaret, is
to look after the American people.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
And now that we know so, we have three hundred
passengers on the plane, but we believe that eleven of
them are terrorists and are going to blow it up. Well,
the vast majority of them are just passengers. Let's let
them all on and see how it go. I mean,
this is the argument. Oh, and she doesn't let up.
Speaker 9 (30:58):
Oh that we have vetting problems with a lot of
these refugee programs. We absolutely cannot unleash thousands of unvetted
people into our countries. They are these people just like
the guy who planned a terrorist attack at Oklahoma a
few months ago. He was allegedly properly vetted, and many
people in the media and the Democratic.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Party said that he was properly vetted. Clearly he wasn't.
Speaker 9 (31:18):
I don't want my children to share a neighborhood with
people who are not properly vetted. And because I don't
want it for my kids, I'm not going to force
any other American citizens kids to do that either.
Speaker 14 (31:28):
No, and that was a very particular case. It wasn't
clear if he was radicalized when he.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Got here or while he was living.
Speaker 9 (31:34):
I don't really care, Margaret. I don't want that person
in my country. And I think most Americans.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Agree with them, and they just keep going. They think
they can get away with it. I like this section too.
Speaker 14 (31:50):
Listen, you campaign on lowering prices for consumers. We've seen
all of these executive orders which won lowers prices.
Speaker 9 (31:58):
We have done a lot, been a number of executive
orders that have caused already jobs to start coming back
into our country, which is a core part of lowering prices.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
More capital investment, more.
Speaker 9 (32:10):
Job creation in our economy is one of the things.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
That, by the way, this is the very center of
the onion in terms of the solution. As much as
all of you listening get well, if you lower gas
prices by creating more supply, you ca may create revenue
through exporting energy independence. But yes, everything is transported, and
(32:34):
by bringing down the cost of the transportation, you're going
to bring down the cost of the good and service.
But nothing like job creation, nothing like manufacturing, will do well.
This is well beyond a CBS narrative. She's not going
to get it, So let's keep listening.
Speaker 9 (32:49):
It's going to drive down prices for all consumers, but
also raise wages so that people can afford to buy
the things that they need. If you look at our
slate of executive orders, prices are going to come down,
but it's going to take a little bit of time.
Right the president has been president for all of five days.
I think that in those five days he's accomplished more
than Joe Biden did in four years. It's been an
(33:11):
incredible breakneck pace of activity.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
We're going to work with Congress.
Speaker 9 (33:16):
We're of course going to have more executive orders, and
we're going to try the way your lower prices is
that you encourage more capital investment into our country. And yes, specifically,
what executive order is going to help lower prices. All
of the stuff that we've done on energy, to explore
more energy reserves, to develop more energy resources in the
(33:36):
United States of America. One of the main drivers of
increased prices under the Biden administration is that we had
a massive increase in the energy prices. Donald Trump has
already taken multiple executive actions.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
That are going to lower end So you might be
missing the whole message if you only hear jd and Go.
What a great spokesperson. What a great vice president, w
what a busy president. We're all in this together. This
