minutes after the hour, Welcome to Thursday, January the thirtieth
year of Our Lord, twenty twenty five, on the air
and streaming live on your iHeartRadio app. This is your
morning show. I'm Michael del Jorno on a sad morning
for those of you that are following the story, going
to sleep and waking up wanting an update. We just

actually still going with Q and A. But the DC
officials had their news conference that began about a half
hour agoing we have the very latest. No survivors are expected.
It's now a search and recovery operation in the Potomac
River rescue crews have recovered twenty eight remains, twenty seven
from the plane, one from the black Hawk helicopter after
(01:12):
the American Airlines regional jet returning from Wichita, where a
US Figure Skating Championship was taking place, and the US
Figure Skating Association confirming that there were athletes and coaches
on this plane. Task News agency in Russia confirming a
pairs champion from nineteen ninety four were on board. No
(01:33):
reports whether the Sun who is currently on the US
figure skating team, Maxim was on board. We do know
that NTSB has taken over. There will be. There was
a conversation of the and the news conference about both
were on appropriate paths now obviously until they collided right
(01:56):
Neither plane made any maneuvers to avoid it. You can
see that leading up to it, and the tower Not
to correct Rory, but the tower was calling out to
the helicopter to ask if it saw the CG in
its sites. Never got a response. In fact, I think
Rory might have confused the response from the Delta captain
(02:19):
who later said, yeah, we witnessed it. If you need
any information, we're ready to cooperate. So this would point
to the tower, and this would point to some questions
I had. When the tower couldn't get a response from
the Blackhawk helicopter, why did it not try to reach
out to the American Airlines flight. They just stayed on
(02:41):
a steady course until they collided and exploded. We find
out from the news conference that the plane broke up
into at least three major sections, and as we mentioned,
sixty on board four crew members. Only twenty seven bodies
from the American Airlines flight recovered and only one of
the three bodies from the black Hawk helicopter recovered and
(03:03):
tsp's can to also have a news conference later today.
We also got kind of the gist that American is
still reaching out and contacting family members, and until that's done,
there won't be any release just what coaches, just what
skaters from the US Olympic skate team were on that plane.
We can only confirm the two Russians and none beyond that,
(03:27):
but I suspect we'll find that out a little bit
later on a couple of your responses. Let's start with Perry,
who I think is in Nashville.

Use Max interview to retired black Hall helicopter last night
pilot last night that had flown in that same airspace.
He says that because of all the other lighting and
stuff around, is very possible the helicopter pilots never saw
the jet. He said he had actually experienced that before,
flying in that same airspace.

Thank you for what it's worth. Well, you're worth a lot,
you know, visually, I've never flown Blackhawk helicopter. I don't
know if they were looking down. I don't if they
were looking up, but they were ascending right into a
descending plane and clearly made no maneuver to avoid it,
and they weren't responding. If that's the visual potential, all right, Well,

they weren't responding to the tower that was calling out
to them, and we have that audio, so we can
all take that for what it's worth as well. James,
I believe it's in Youngstown.

Good morning, Michael and Crewe. What a tragedy. The thing
thing is going through my mind. Did you and your
crew get any sleep at all last night? Because this
happened at nine o'clock last night? I have to think
that for the show, Pripe folks are up all night
as well.

Kudos to your service and near coverage of this kudo's
not necessary. It's our job number one. Number two, It's
really not about us, and our night has nothing to
compare with that of the rescue and recovery workers or
anybody who lost their life in that crash. And no
I mentioned earlier my two struggles this morning are I'm

not a news person and this isn't normal talk show.
I'm a very empathetic person. There's a difference between sympathetic
and empathetic. I mean, I really feel I'm thinking of
family members that are finding out their loved ones are
gone and gone forever. I'm thinking of the conditions and
the cold for those that are in recovery mode now
(05:22):
and serving. I don't think whether or not we got
normal sleep or not is even relevant. I will say this,
and this comes from the visual if you're watching it,
and it doesn't matter whether you're looking at the earthcam
video or there's another different angle in a much from
(05:43):
the ground closer angle. They just keep going at each
other for a long period of time and then explosion.
I'm not going to say the word suspicion, but I
had a lot of questions where the autopilot, why wasn't
there any maneuver to try to avoid it. When the tower,
(06:05):
and it didn't take long for that audio to surface,
is calling out to the Blackhawk and not getting a response.
Why wasn't there an attempt to contact the American Airlines flight,
which you would think descending right into it had to
have seen it. And then I didn't know how to
handle that on the air, you know, because I don't
(06:25):
want to be that guy. I can tell you this.
Donald Trump, who was informed immediately and throughout the night,
posted this on social media. The airplane was on a
perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The
helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended
period of time. And does that sound familiar? As the
(06:49):
President of the United States seeing the same thing I'm
seeing and thinking the same thing I'm thinking. He never
has a problem saying it. I'm uncomfortable saying it. It
is a clear night in Washington. The lights on the
plane are blazing. Why didn't the helicopter go up or
(07:10):
down or turn? But didn't the control tower tell the
helicopter what to do instead? When we now have that audio,
they were reaching out, they weren't getting a response that
first initial reach out to the black helicopter by the tower,
do you have the CGR in sight? With no response.
Was thirty seconds before the collision. I was thirty seconds
(07:33):
to say something to the American Airlines flight and didn't.
The President concluded his statement on social media, this is
a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented.
Not good to all caps, exclamation point, explanation point, exclamation point.
Whether we slept irrelevant, But everything that we've gathered and
everything we've looked at, in my initial eyes looking at
(07:56):
this are certainly seeing the same thing the president. So
I'm wondering. I know there's more to this from a
skating perspective, I'm wondering what more there is. All we
can tell you is there will be no survivors. The
plane broke up into three pieces. Twenty seven of the
bodies from the sixty four on the plane have been recovered,
one from the helicopter. That's a pretty simple math. Of
(08:16):
sixty seven, we have twenty eight bodies, so there are
more bodies defined. As these recovery operations continue and a
lot of questions to be answered. The NTSB is in
control and we'll have a news conference coming up later today.
R FK Junior's first confirmation hearing was the typical attacks
in Rocky Road. Everyone expected. President Trump had some harsh

words for the FED after it announced interest rates would
remain unchanged, which really gives us the teachable moment of
should the Fed be serving? What the president would like?
Is that even on their radar? What is the Fed's job,
what is their role? What about it? Should exist, shouldn't exist?

And what about their decision to keep the interest rates steady?
Where they're at? David Bonnson is our economist and money
was David, I know you always have passionate comments about
the Fed. Talk radio may take this and run that.
You know, Feds against the President, and you know all
the conditions, point do they should have? What goes into
their consideration in these two day meetings? And and what

do you make of their conclusion to keep the industrates steady? Well,
it was a no brainer.

They were going to keep them steady at this point.
What's hilarious to me is those that were critical of
them cutting before saying, oh, they're still inflation and they
need to keep rates higher to find inflation, and then
now those same people saying why aren't they cutting more still?
You know, with President Trump in office. Look, the FED
(09:52):
does things I disagree with all the time, but I
do not believe that the criticism ought to be centered
around one's partisaner political connectivity. They make monetary policy decisions
that are either right or wrong.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Their jurisdiction is.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
Something people either believe is right or wrong. I have
opinions on all of that. But they did not do
anything ever to help President Biden. If they were trying
to help President Biden, they did.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
A very bad job. They most certainly.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
But I also want to point out they most certainly
did not make the decision to not cut rage yesterday
to hurt President Trump. It's been a one hundred percent
chance in the futures market that is pricing in FED activity,
one hundred percent chance that they were not going to
cut rage yesterday for over two months.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
So this is just we not a political decision.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
It's a byproduct to the fact that they quickly cut
rates one hundred basis points one percent and now are
slowing down a bit to allow things to brief.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
All right, So give everybody kind of a crash course,
because sometimes we get deep in the woods on financials
we lose people that don't think about that. But out
of control spending with no creation beyond I think back
to COVID. To just pump trillions of dollars into the
economy unearned is inflationary. Then the FED comes along and
(11:16):
raises rates to cool that off to avoid recession. Walk
us through that basic concept. Then, where we're at in
reality now and why it would point to doing nothing
for a little while longer.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Well, well, first of all, it isn't to avoid recession.
A lot of people believe that when you want to raise.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Rates to cool inflation, to create a recession.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
Now, I don't believe that because I don't believe that
economic growth is inflationary, and I don't believe that economic
contraction is anti inflationary. But that's what the kind of
consensus in academia is. Is that inflation comes on an
economy gets too hot. It's an utterly ridiculous idea, but
I've listened to many Republicans say it for the last
(12:00):
several years, so it's now become a bipartisan piece of nonsense.
Inflation always, in forever comes from too much money facing
too few goods and services.

And so you're right that there.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Was a bunch of money pumped into the economy at
the COVID moment in twenty twenty, the last few year
of President Trump's term. Then President Biden came in and
added more money in.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
But the really.

Important part, we've talked about this on the show at
least a dozen times, is the second half of the sentence,
facing too few goods and services. You did put a
bunch of money into the economy, but you also did
it when we turned the production of the economy off.
That was the inflationary moment, supply chain shutting down, the
(12:49):
energy production shutting down. There were a variety of circumstances
whereby production was shut down, but consumption did not slow down.

We reopened to the.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Economy when people finally had enough and they all wanted
to go back to their normal lives, which is what
human beings do. But the production wasn't there, the labor
wasn't there, as shot prices higher. Took about two years
to work out of the system.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Well, the notion you could flip off, the notion you
could flip off the economy like a light switch and
turn it right back on. That was a miscalculation. Obviously,
more manufacturing, returning, creating goods and services along with jobs
is what is necessary to fix the economy. Is it
a misconception and wrong for people to think, oh, well,
when the interest rates come down, that means we're going
(13:35):
in the right direction, because you may not want them
to come down.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Well, interest rates going up or down don't tell you
anything about what it means to the economy, the reasons
they're going up or down, Matt, I tell you so,
two thousand and eight, they brought interest rates to zero percent.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Did anyone feel like that was a good thing?
Speaker 4 (13:57):
We were in the worst processions.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
I do, like my home mortgage at two point four
I'll just tell you that. But yeah, well.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah, but that's assuming you kept your home, which about
fifty percent of people weren't doing.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
So, you know, people were losing homes, losing.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Jobs, on employment state around ten percent for almost two years.
It was an absolutely ghastly period of American history, brutal,
and yet educates will learn lower this is a rare extent. Now,
it's not unprecedented, but this is a rare moment where
we're cutting rates not because the economy is in recession,
but simply because we let them run very high for
(14:31):
a long time, and so they're trying to avoid future
economic damage from it. But no, I don't think that
there's anything wrong within cutting rates now, and in terms
of the decision to slow the pace of cuts, it
was very expected. But they're in a pickle because housing
is frozen and they need to get rates lower to
unfreeze housing.

Yeah, that's that's a pretty good description of the pickle.

to bed concerned over the collision between a Blackhawk helicopter
and an American Airlines Regional jet and you're probably waking
up wanting to know where there are any survivors. There
are none expected. It's now a search and recovery operation
in the Potomac River. The NTSB has taken over the investigation.
(15:30):
Rescue workers worked in very frigid conditions with waters at
thirty five degrees. They've recovered twenty eight remains, twenty seven
from the plane and one of the three from the
Blackhawk helicopter. We know that there were sixty passengers on
the American Airlines jet along with four crew members. There
were three on the black Hawk helicopter. Two things that
(15:52):
were uncomfortable for me all morning were to get to
the President's post on truth social because the visuals of
this are to imagine the way they just kept going
at each other and nobody made a move until a
large explosion the other was and I've been alluding to
it throughout the morning. This is going to become more
of a skate story. Listen, I'll just come clean with you.
(16:13):
This plane was filled with very very young skaters and children.
Your heart's going to break when you see these faces.
Out of respect for what American Airlines says as a
process of making sure all the families notified first, we
won't mention any by name, but this is a sad,
sad day, and it's about to get a lot sadder
as the date progresses.

sixty four on board, an American Airlines regional jet coming
from Wichita where there were US figure skating championships and
then camps for young skaters after it. That's going to
be very relevant to the passenger list. And it collided
with a helicopter, a Blackhawk helicopter on a military exercise
(17:30):
at Reagan Airport, DCA, and no survivors are expected. It's
now a search and recovery operation in the Potomac. I
remember one day, just to be transparent with you, covering
Hillary Clinton, and she does this laundry list. She says,
(17:50):
I'm a Democrat, I'm a this, I'm a wife, I'm
a dad, I'm a mother, And the order just struck me,
and it really hearkened back to teachings that I once
went through with Tony Robbins. It was fascinating. I mean,
you may have a personal opinion about Tony Robins or
(18:11):
how he's portrayed, but if you ever go through his
programs and listen to him, it's really neat stuff and
he's talking about Well, there's several ways I can change you.
One I can change your or We're all passionate about something,
and whatever you're passionate about is what you'll focus on.
So if you're passionate about running from pain and medicating yourself,
(18:34):
you're probably going to do drugs or alcohol. If you're
passionate about your sexual desires, you probably going to be promiscuous.
But we're all passionate about something. And if you're not
conscious of what you're passionate about, well then you're not
really in touch with what you're focused on. And what
you're focused on is what you're going to act and
your actions that some of your actions create a direction

in motion and they arrive at a destination. So if
your passion is like me, faith, marriage, children, I can
control myself by the order that I place them, and
then by the rules or the definition, which is a
whole other fascinating conversation because Bill Clinton obviously may have
(19:19):
prioritized marriage, putting hat different rules for marriage than I did,
and the Bible has. So it's about the order in
which our values are and the rules or beliefs for
those values, and how they define each one. And if
you're conscious of it, great, you're in control. If you're not,
(19:39):
you're drifting. As a lot of believers would listen. In
other words, your sinful nature is in full rule Idel
even described it to take every thought captive and obediently
place it before the throne of God. How many times
the Bible will tell you guard your heart and mind
needs to be guarded. So I remember Hillary doing that
(20:01):
laundry list. I thought, wow, how different it is for me,
And so I started, you know, thinking about what mine
would be. Humble believer in Christ, daily decreasing that he
might increase because America needs him, not me, My family
needs him not me, my coworkers need him not me.
(20:24):
So I'm first and foremost a believer. Then I'm a
husband because I can never love my children more than
I love their mother. I learned that. And then my
children than my friends, than my country, than my state,
then my community, than my neighborhood, then my neighbors. I
(20:45):
don't know how far down that list i'd have to
go before talk show host came up. Why do I
bring that up? Because as I spent the overnight hours
and as I've been living this morning, I'm a very
empathetic person. So all I can think about are parents
(21:09):
who got a call I would most dread the worst
hand you could ever be dealt. Your children are gone.
I could think of a twenty three year old skater
who is going to get to call your mother. Well,
he probably already knows, but your mother and father are gone.
I mean, my heart's just broken this morning. I really
don't And then you know, so that's empathy just in general.
(21:33):
And then I'm trying to figure out what I should
do and what I shouldn't do. One of the things
that you know, American Airlines made it clear in the
news conference they're going to contact every family member first
before releasing names. But you're going to see the names,
and you're going to see the faces, and I've already
seen them. You're in for a very sad day. Children,
(21:53):
gorgeous children gone. So that's been a strong But those names,
in those faces will come out, and I've been kind
of alluding to you this is going to become much
more of a figure skating story than you may realize
at this point. Tragedy, whether they're skaters or not. Sixty
on board the plane, along with four crew members sixty
(22:15):
four total, three on board the Blackhawk helicopter. It is
no longer a rescue operation. There will be no survivors expected,
and it is a search and recovery operation in the
Potomac River. Twenty eight bodies have been recovered, twenty seven
from the plane, one from the helicopter. It is now
an NTSB controlled investigation. There are a lot of questions.
(22:39):
This was the other uncomfortable part about today when I
first saw the initial earthcam footage. Now it's far away view,
and lights are and a clear night, lights can get
very exaggerated, and so there's a light to the right
that kind of takes your attention to go, is that
an explosion or is that a light? Then you see
(23:01):
the real explosion and then it repeats. Now you know
where to fix your eyes. And as you're fixing your eyes,
you can see the lights on the helicopter. You can
see the lights on the plane. The plane is at
four hundred feet one hundred and thirty miles an hour,
descending on a glide slope to the runway as the
helicopter is going right up. Then I start piecing other
information together. I mean, we do know that they switched
(23:24):
runways on the American Airlines flight and they call out
to the plane and say, we're switching you to runway
thirty three. Is that all right? Less than thirty seconds
before the crash the air traffic controller and by the way,
the plane responded yes, and you can in the plane
(23:44):
makes the adjustment to runway thirty three. So your question
is did that switch of runways play any role in this?
And then this morning in the news conference you have
the NTSP saying both were on proper slopes. Well, that
points to the tower. So you had one going up
in the same direction one was coming down but at
(24:06):
the same time and on a collision course that would
look like tower error. That there's all the conversations about
blind spots in the black Hawk and being glared by
the lights, but they literally one descending, one ascending just
on a course directly and nobody makes a move and
(24:27):
the tower reaches out to the black Hawk gets no response,
and had thirty seconds to reach out to the American
Airlines flight and didn't. And then your eyes just watched
them go right into each other and explode. And we
now know that the plane one into three main pieces.
Just the view of the explosion would be unthinkable that
(24:48):
anybody survived it, let alone landing into thirty five degree
eight foot waters with a high current. But no, nobody
makes a move. And then you know, I go to
bed thinking that, and I'm like, am I gonna say
that on the radio? And then I wake up to
Donald Trump, who's the President of the United States, and
(25:09):
on true social he posts everything my eyes were looking at.
The airplane was on a perfect and routine line approach
to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the
airplane for an extended period of time. It's a clear night.
The lights on the plane were blazing. Why didn't the
helicopter go up or down or turn? Why didn't the
(25:30):
control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of
asking if they saw the plane? And the President of
the United States concludes, this is a bad situation that
looks like should have been prevented. Not good. All caps
and three exclamation points, and I'm like, do I want
to report that? Do I want to tell anybody the
beautiful children and they're on this plane, because when you
(25:53):
see their pictures, your heart's gonna just break. And then
we had the news conference at six and we didn't
learn much other than no survivors, other than it's now
a search and recovery, other than as NTSB is now
in control and playing a news conference later this afternoon.
And I guess read I think you would agree with
(26:14):
me kind of showing its hands. Their eyes are on
the tower, not the intentionality potentially or blind spot of
a helicopter. But I think you know, piecing it together,
you switched runways. Maybe that's how two people on proper
a sense and descents ended up in the same trajectory.
(26:37):
I don't know. Maybe we'll learn more today, but what
we have is a tragedy and sixty seven total lives
apparently lost in a plane crash with a Blackhawk helicopter
last night over the Potomac in our nation's capital. Meanwhile,
RFK got roughed up in his first confirmation hearing. I
don't you know as far as compared to the loss
of life, who cares. I don't think there's anybody that's
(27:00):
going through this hearing process that is not going to
be confirmed. So this is all just political theater. And
they really didn't have much. It really didn't go anywhere.
The one thing I will tell you about RFK, and
I've heard you know he can have a temper out
of everybody. He certainly wasn't as cool as hegsath and
(27:21):
he certainly wasn't as swingy as Pam Bonding. I think
he was frustrated. I think they kind of got under
his skin and he's got another round to go today.
And the President at harsh words for the Fed, although
we talked with our money wiz, and he made it
pretty crystal clear I don't need the Fed. If they
were doing anything to help Joe Biden. They certainly didn't,
And I don't think hurting Donald Trump had anything to
(27:44):
do with their decision to hold the interest rates where
they're at. But they're not going to move, not anytime soon.
And a pretty good payoff for Donald Trump. He got
twenty five mil in a settlement in a lawsuit with
Meta and Facebook and then got a bunch of praise
from Mark Zuckerberg. So a good day with Donald Trump
and social media. So that's our top story, and that's

what else is in news, and we're going to get
the very latest see what Rory has gathered as we
have been gathering on the air live when we come
back on your morning show. This is your morning show

Michael del Chorno. All right, I know a lot of
you went to bed and you're waking up wanting to
know what the latest is. The latest is, no survivors
(28:27):
are expected in a collision between a Blackhawk helicopter on
a training mission and a regional American Airlines jet. There
were sixty passengers on board the American Airlines Regional jet,
four crew members, and then three crew members in the
Blackhawk helicopter. Twenty eight remains have been recovered from the
Potomac River, twenty seven from the plane, one from the

Blackhawk helicopter. There are also a lot of questions. Early on,
it became a parent that and I'm just going to
pieces together. Rory O'Neil's joining me even as I do this.
Probably the first indication was, okay, we knew that there
was a call out to the helicopter with no response.
(29:10):
We knew that there was a changing of the runway
to which the American Airlines flight responded, okay, made the
alteration to its glide slope. There is the video where
you see them kind of just one rising up on
a direct course, one descending on a direct course. So
we start thinking about the tower and why didn't it
(29:32):
reach out to the plane, Why didn't the plane of
the helicopter move. I mean, just a lot of questions,
and I guess with the NTSP in control and a
news conference later today, we'll get some of those answers, right, Rory.
Speaker 6 (29:42):
Yeah, But also slow down your expectations because the NTSP
typically issues an initial report thirty days after an incident,
but then a final report can take well over a
year in order to compile. And unless there's really some flashing,
glaring evidence as to what happened here, and expect a final,
definitive report for quite some time. And as you said,
(30:04):
there seems to be a lot of questions about exactly
what was being communicated to the helicopter, to the pilots
of that airplane. But on the surface, you know, the
plane was on a normal approach. The helicopter was flying
in a normal pattern that's used by helicopters in that area.
Nothing glaring right now, and that may be the scariest
of all, because you know, when you don't know the answer,
(30:27):
that's the scary time.

Well, it's interesting, you're right about that. I don't expect
to get any of these answers today, but we'll see
if that's what they're looking at. I thought it was
interesting the NTSP and I was busy on the air,
so I'm kind of getting the reports more than listening
to it live. But I was interested that they brought
up you know, the tower, I mean, and and there.
You know when you say, well they're on the proper
(30:50):
ascent pattern, and they were on the proper descent pattern,
Well the two should ever meet in a collision. So
then it becomes an issue of timing, and then we
it's kind of like you know when people ask me about,
you know, the jfk assassination, of what are we going
to find out when they reveal all these files? And
I kind of use this analogy. You probably got all
the pieces of puzzle of the puzzle in your hand,
(31:11):
you just don't have them placed in the right place.
And that's similar to this. Right, I think we kind
of have all the pieces, but we don't have the
picture yet, and they're not in the right place. There's
something to this switching runway, there's something to this tower concern.
There's something to all of this. But why they didn't
see each other, why nobody made a move. It's really
hard on the eye. Even the President questioned that on'try
(31:33):
social right, and.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
Even we heard from the Transportation Secretary saying this was preventable.
But the American Airlines president also spoke at the press
conference a short time ago saying, in quote, we don't
know why the military aircraft came into the path unquote
of his passenger jet. So he seems to be placing
the blame here squarely on the military, as I'm sure
the lawyers are filing up.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Yeah, you know what's interesting, when you watched it, you
know you were I felt better when you came on.
At least I had another person, because these are the
things that two things I struggled with. One is I've
seen the pictures of who's on this plane with their names.
America is going to see them. I'm trying to be
respectful to American airlines and to their family members. I
don't have any grand illusions that that many people listen
(32:18):
to the show, but they could be. But when you
see these pictures, your heart is just going to break.
I mean, young, beautiful people. And we mentioned last hour
this is going to become more of us. It's going
to become a very skate story as well. Now task
took care of revealing the champions from ninety four that
(32:40):
we knew were coaches and on that plane, but we
actually know a lot about because they have the competition,
the championships in Wichita. Then they have the camps for
the young skaters. After that's coaches and skaters, young skaters
that were returning to Washington, d C.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
You don't know what.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
You don't know what to say to not say no,
but we're talking ten, twelve, fourteen year old skaters.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
People don't have that in their mind, that that young no.
It's so I'm an empathetic person, you know. I couldn't
stop being a father all morning, and I didn't want
to get to some of this more contentious stuff. But
I felt better when you came on board, at least
to hear another person say that, you know, watching that
especially from the Earth Camp. I mean long time, they're
(33:24):
just heading straight for each other and no one moves.
It was just hard for the human eye to comprehend.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
Yeah, and they've classified the helicopter flight as a training flight.
We haven't gotten the flight histories of the pilot that
was involved on that black cop We know that the
lead pilot on the regional jet had about six years
experience with PSA. The co pilot had two years. So
you know, clearly they probably made that flight into or
(33:51):
that approach into Reagan National many many times before.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
What we do know, it's heartbreaking and there appears to
be no survivors. Twenty eight bodies removed from eight to
twelve feet of muddy water in the Potomac and very
freezing conditions. Twenty seven from the plane, one from the
black Hawk. That's less than half of the remains that
are involved in this tragic crash. Could work all morning, Rory,
