Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, I'm Michael del Jorno, and your morning show can
be heard live as it's happening five to eight am
Central and six to nine Eastern on great stations like
six point twenty WJDX and Jackson, Mississippi, or AKRONS, News
Talk six forty w HLO and Akron, Ohio and News
Radio five seventy WDAK and Columbus, Georgia. We'd love to
be a part of your morning routine, but we're glad

(00:21):
you're here now. Enjoy the podcast Tuesday Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Three, starting your morning off right. A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding because we're in this together.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
This is your.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Morning show with Michael bel Truman.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Jeffrey Lyon's controlling the sound. He seems to be one
of the few people that celebrate Tuesday, celebrate everything. That's
a first in radio history that somebody wanted to highlight Tuesday.
It's a gift. I always wondered if Tuesday Wells had
married Frederick March, which he had been Tuesday March third, Well,

(01:04):
something to think about. I must move on. Eight minutes
after the hour for just waking up. President Trump and
Russian leader Vladimir Putin are set to hold high stakes
conversations today on ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Damage assessments continue across the South and the Midwest, hit
hard by storms over the past weekend. The death toll

(01:24):
has now risen to over forty from those storms. President
Trump provokes Secret Service protection from Joe Biden's son Hunter
and daughter Ashley. Files related to the assassination of John F.
Kennedy be released today. Let's hope these are better than
the Epstein files. Now. It's my understanding that they discovered

(01:45):
some two hundred and forty thousand Kennedy files that haven't
been released, and eighty thousand of them will be released today.
The President believes mostly unredacted, but that's still only a
third of the total files. So we'll keep an eye
on that. And the ceasefire is apparently over in the
Middle East, Israel hits Kaza with extensive air strikes, Hamas

(02:07):
not complying with the release of hostages, and maybe net
Nyahu in the Ministry of Defense making a crystal clear
that they're going to release the gates of Hell if
those hostages are not released and soon. And then I
have simply two favorite sounds of the day, is going
to be a favorite segment today. I mean Don Lemon

(02:28):
and Bill Maher. This will show you how far left
the media cabal, most of which have been since removed
and eliminated, and the far left of the Democrat Party
have gone. They've left Bill Maher as centrist. You can't
make that up. He is a moderate. He's a moderate now.

(02:50):
But it leads into the conversation about AOC, and I
think I actually had to watch that and go, well,
I know what Don's saying here, and he's making sense.
Some bills just not hearing it. And that is he's saying,
the people want AOC, you should give them AOC. He
doesn't come out and explain it very well, but I
presume he has the same view of what happened in

(03:13):
twenty sixteen and twenty twenty and twenty twenty four that
I do, just from his jaded perspective, and that is,
they wanted Bernie Sanders and your Forest Hillery. They wanted
Bernie Sanders again, and you forced Joe Biden. Then everybody
wanted Joe to go, and you just gave their votes
to Kamala and didn't even ask them. Give them who
they want at least for the presidential perspective. Well, that

(03:38):
leads to one of my two favorite stories, and that
is remember what we were talking about yesterday, AOC. She
actually leads the new presidential candidate poll for twenty twenty eight.
I say lead, there's an asterix. She's trailing no opinion
at twenty six percent with ten percent, but he still

(04:00):
leads of those who get a nod. We'll look into
the troubled Democrat Party that comes out too, and the
sounds of the day. And then the Chucky Schumer story
is hands down my favorite. So Chucky's got a new
book out, he's ready to do his book tour, and
now he has to cancel why backlash over the shutdown fight.

(04:23):
They're going to pain him like a tesla security concerns.
Think of the poetic justice here. This is what happens
when you create irrational, lunatic monsters to go out intolerantly
intact anybody that views life or government different than you. Now,

(04:46):
this also goes back to what we talked about for
a year. And I know I drive you crazy, but
we said the Democrat Party is an eye problem. If
this eye problem continues, you've got to take Ben sh
Puro out of the ticket race for twenty twenty eight.
It would be simply too problematic to have a Jewish

(05:08):
candidate as a nominee for the Democrat Party when clearly
a lot of their party is anti Semitic. The book
is anti Semitism in America a war, and that he
can't go on tour because the lunatics of his party
are going to attack him for a supporting Israel and
b passing a continuing resolution on a budget deal. It's

(05:36):
a security concern from his own party, of which he
is the Senate minority leader. I has anybody enjoying that
as much as me? Barely not. And finally, and no

(05:57):
one will give him credit. Thanks to Elon Musk, Butch
and Sonny, you are finally going to be coming home.
Load it up and ready to go. I saw the
funniest meme of the year. Remember how I always talk
about how memes ought to be. You know, everybody does

(06:19):
a book, and I thought, you know what, I should
start a new trend where I release a coffee table
book every year simply entitled the Year. Because in this
sea of information, in this ocean of voices, you have

(06:39):
the nonsense every day and then you have little memes
of truth that pop up, and if they were roadmaps
and you followed the truth instead of the noise, you'd
be going in the right direction. This may be the
best of the year breaking news. And then a big
headline fond there's a first of all, there's a picture
Butch and Sonny with their hair sticking straight up, floating

(07:00):
in the space station where they've been floating for ten months,
and the headline is Federal judge orders Astro and Us
to be returned to space station. Simply because if Donald
Trump or anybody associated with Donald Trump does something good,
it can't possibly be good. So even though it was

(07:20):
Elon Musk that's responsible in SpaceX for getting them finally
home after all this time, Nope, send them back to
the space station. If it's Elon Musk and Donald Trump,
they can't remain. And I love the part about a
federal judge which comes up in our feature in the
Sounds of the Day. I mean, when I did write

(07:41):
a book twenty five years ago or whatever it was,
I chose the subtitle the only thing left shocking in
life is the truth? Isn't that the case? Isn't that?
The theme for today, Tuesday, March eighteenth. The only thing
left shocking in life is the truth from AOC to
Chucky Schumer having to be protected from his own party,
the lunatics they've created, to the JFK files, or at

(08:04):
least a third of them. To Yeah, if the ceasefire
is based on release of hostages and Hamas is not
releasing them, yeah, bomb them of the sounds of the day,
if I had to pick a favorite, because there's a
lot of really intellectual arguments that are going on right

(08:26):
now about the president using a law created in the
seventeen hundreds. I get this from time to time from women.
Most of my late night emails or Facebook messages are hey,
can I tell you something? And then I just kind

(08:47):
of strap in. It's usually going to be something very
deep about their life, about faith, or it's going to
be something like that. And I've gotten three like this, now,
can I tell you something? I don't know how to
explain it. But am I the only one that finds
Holman attractive? And I'm like, how cold? Thirteen twenty five?

(09:14):
I look, I'm a man, So I don't know. I
guess if no matter what a woman looked like, if
she was so intelligent, so straight to the point, and
no pooh poo. I'd probably start overlooking some of her
physical flaws. I don't know, but let me tell you something.
I love time Holman, but I don't know how how

(09:35):
long you'd have to stare at him before that becomes attractive.
But this, maybe this may be his greatest moment ever.
And listen to the reporter. I hope you can pick
him up in the in the biased question he's asking,
but the answer. Listen, you say to those who claim
you're using law? Would you say to those who claim

(09:56):
you using a two hundred year old law to circumvent
you from to circumvent due process? All right, so there
is the bias question, not a lot of flawless. You say,
to those who claim you're using a two hum in
your old law to circumvent you present, no law not
as old as constitution. We still pay attention to that,
don't we tell?

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Oh, you know what, I am getting a funny feeling
now that I'm looking at him.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
You do.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
It's your morning show with Michael del Joano.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
This is your morning show. I am Michael del Jorner.
If you're just waking up these are your top fives well.
President Trump says you could look forward to files related
to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy to
be released today. Brian Shook has more.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Speaking while touring the Kennedy Center, Trump said around eighty
thousand pages will be released.

Speaker 5 (10:54):
Have instructed my people better responsible, lots of different people
put together by Chelsea Gabert.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
The President said, a lot of Americans have been asking
for this for a long time. Kennedy was assassinated in
Dallas in nineteen sixty three.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
I'm Brian Shook. President Trump claimed some of the pardons
issued by President Biden are invalid. Mark Mayfield reports in.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
A truth social post early Monday, Trump said he was
declaring Biden's pardons for members of the January the sixth
House Select Committee void, vacant, and have no further force
or effect because of the fact that they were done
by autopan. He also alleged Biden had no knowledge about
the pardons. Trump went on to say House members who
served on the committee should fully understand that they are
a subject to investigation at the highest level.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
By'm Mark Neefield. White House says absolutely not. When it
comes to returning the statue of liberty to France.

Speaker 7 (11:50):
That was the response to a French politician suggesting the
United States return the statue.

Speaker 8 (11:55):
My advice to that unnamed, low level French politician would
be to remind them that it's only because of the
United States of America that the French are not speaking
German right now.

Speaker 7 (12:06):
Press Secretary Caroline love It took shots at Rafael Glixman,
a member of Francis Parliament. During a briefing. Blissman made
the comment and protest of federal firings of scientific researchers
and American siding with what he called tyrants. I'm Tammy Truillo.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Can't you see Chucky showing up to his book tour
in his tesla? Hey lot, it's my people. They love me. No,
he had to postpone his book tour, not just over
backlash from within his party, but security concerns. Lisa Taylor
has more.

Speaker 9 (12:37):
It comes after the New York lawmaker voted to advance
a House Republican led funding package. A spokesperson for his
tour said it would be rescheduled over security concerns. Schumer
was scheduled to visit Washington, d C, Baltimore, Philadelphia and
New York City to promote his new book, Anti Semitism
in America. A warning, i'mly Sa Taylor Jeffery.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
You only did country right, you never did all these
not did classic rock and roll top You did all right.
So I'm trying to think, did the Young Bloods have
any other hits then Get Together? I could have googled,
I thought maybe not right off the off the back
in think of anything. I think it's the only one
that you know survived the classic rock format to be played.

(13:20):
I can't think of any others there might be, uh,
but Jesse Colin Young, the frontman for the young Blood's
dead at the age of eighty three. His publicist said
he died at his home and Aiken, South Carolina, on Sunday.
Young was the lead vocalist played bass on the counterculture's
hit to Get Together, and the song reached number five

(13:40):
on the Billboard Hot one hundred in nineteen sixty nine.
I was just that got me thinking did they have
any others? I released it like three different times, so
it was get Together, Get Together two, and get to
Get Together three. That was that's all they got. Well,
that's like, look forward to the coming years Your Morning
Show two, At Your Morning Show three, Billie Eilish took

(14:01):
home Album of the Year, the top honor at the
iHeart Music Awards. Love this album with all my heart.

Speaker 8 (14:06):
I feel very proud of it and very protective over it,
and the.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Fact that people care about it at all is just
a dream. She accepted the iHeart Award with her brother
Fiat Phineas. There almost said Phoenicius, those are lovely blinds.
But Phineas, who helped make the album with her hit
Me Hard and Soft, debuted at number two on the Billboard,
debuting at number two this week.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
That's with a bullet Phineas and his baby sister, Billy Eyelish.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Um, give me your Teeth Clean doesn't take a lot
of fancy gadgets and equipment, just the basically six.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
That includes brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing.
The Health Policy Institute says it's also important to get
regular dental checkups and cleanings. Twice a year is what's recommended.
The American Dental Association says fluoride matters because it has
the power to fight cavities and tooth decay. They recommend
fluoride toothpaste and using a toothbrush with soft rather than

(15:12):
hard bristles to avoid scraping off tooth enamel or damaging
your gums.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
I'm Brian Shook. Hey everybody, It's time for sports. Believe
it or not. March Madness begins tonight, March eighteenth, True
TV eight ten is North Carolina the tar Heels in
San Diego State ESBN two with a doubleheader beginning at
six Georgia Tech and Jacksonville State and cal State Northridge
and Samford. I think that's the play in games, right

(15:40):
or whatever they call them. Final four, last four, North
Carolina played for national championship. Now they're playing to get
into the tournament, to get into the tournament. Crazy on
the NBA hardwood, give me, give me some sneaker sound effects.
Piston's Big over the Pals, What's Big one twenty seven
to eighty one, Griz lost by ten of the Kings,
Sons by forty over the Raptors, and the Blazers beat

(16:02):
the Whiz one twelve ninety seven, Lakers one twenty five,
one oh nine over the Spurs. On I Hockey, we
got the Lightning beating the Flyers two zip and the
shut up and the Kings lost to Minnesota three to one.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
Hey, I'm Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton, and my morning
show is your morning show with Michael del Jornal.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Hey, gang, it's me Michael. You can listen to your
morning show live. Make us a part of your morning
routine or your drive to work companion on great stations
like Talk Radio ninety eight point three and fifteen ten
WLAC in Nashville, Tupelow's News and Talk one oh one
point one and ten sixty WKMQ, and how about Talk
six fifty KSTE and Sacramento, California. Love to have you

(16:47):
listen live, but are grateful you're here now for the podcast. Enjoy.
I don't think a Young Buds had any other hits,
but that was the last song played at Big John's
wedding nineteen eighty five. What do you think the odds
are that he had? Why am I getting that slap
back again? I don't know. I don't think I can
do it. I gonna have to do this one. Yeah

(17:08):
I can't. Well, you have to. I have to monitor
the one that you're air. Yeah, I'm fine. I was
just thinking of Big John's wedding, and I think Big
John had open bar. Oh, absolutely kidding. Did I ever
tell you about one of our biggest I don't. This
is sickening, and I'm not bragging. My wife happens to
be my best friend and smoking hot all right, so

(17:29):
I'm good. I'm just good till death. But one of
the biggest disagreements we ever had, I would I wouldn't
call it a fight. It went on. I don't even
think we've even raised voices. But so my wife was
adamant about not having an open bar, and I was like, well, Andrew,
I will pay for it. We can't have congressman, senators,

(17:50):
maybe even the governor at our wedding and not have
an open bar. We can't be class. That's the Italian
to me. So and at one point in the argument,
I got out the entire guest list. All right, So
I got it in my hand, and I'm going born again.
Christian doesn't drink. Born again Christian doesn't drink I mean,
right on down the list. Okay, her husband only drinks beer.

(18:11):
You were going to do wine and beer anyway, beer beer, beer,
So anyway, make a long story short. And my wedding
was kind of a blur. We had a eighteen piece
big band with a kind of like a woman who
like carefully smoked camels her entire life to get just
the right grainy voice to sing a lot of those
old forties and fifties hits. Oh, and it was just

(18:33):
it was magical. And then we had to make the
rounds to everybody and so on and so forth, so
everything was kind of a blur. Then my nieces and
nephews came up to the honeymoon sweet then my brother
and his wife showed up. Nobody left like four o'clock
in the morning. I mean, you know that was supposed
to be a big night for us, sure, so to speak. Yeah,
So I get up the next morning to leave for

(18:53):
the honeymoon. I go down and her father had paid
for the food portion, and I paid for the room
and the open bar. So I get to the checkout
and the bill was eighty nine hundred dollars. Oh my goodness.
And I remember thinking, boy, that's high, even for the weddings.
I said, I'm sorry, I think that one's my father

(19:14):
in laws. I just had the room and the open bar,
and she goes, yeah, that's what this is. Eight thousand,
nine hundred dollars and I'm in I'm the way to
the airport. Now I'm in a fight with myself. Why
did I listen to you? That was my first of
many of those I don't even a board again, Christians.

(19:34):
When I tell you I pulled out the receipt, it
was like, I don't even know what the numbers were,
so don't hold me to this. But it was something
like one hundred and seventy two premium, one wine, one
beer that came to eighty nine hundred dollars something crazy.
So we get back from the honeymoon. Finally the video arrives.
I mean, everybody, I didn't even notice this. Everybody sloshed

(19:58):
at my wedding. I mean they're all the video.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Hey you guys, great party, that great Hollywood. I'm seeing
bat The entire eighteen piece orchestra took a break. They're
two fisting premium drinks back to their instrument section, and
I'm like, everybody, never do an open bar.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Big John was probably too smart for that. How do
you know a baptist at the liquor store, they won't
say hello to you. Well, there's a lot of that.
I was saying a lot of born again Christians flowing
in the spirit. If you will, all right, if you're
just waking up, it is thirty nine minutes after the hour.
Young Blood's lead singer of their only hit song passed

(20:37):
away at eighty three. And that's what I couldn't recall,
because in all my years of being a disc jockey,
I only remember that one get Together Young Blood song.
I don't think they had any other hits. No, that's
and apparently we can confirm they didn't. But it was
the last song in Big John's wedding. All right, the
ceasefire appears to be over, and again for good reason.

(20:57):
The terms of the ceasefire were release were already extraordinarily unfair.
We're gonna talk later with Stephen Bouchi from the Heritage Foundation.
I'll let an expert tell you. You'll listen to an expert.
But as somebody who has followed this, this is what
terrorists do. They get funding from major terrorist nations to
terrorist organizations, They lay low, and then eventually they attack.

(21:21):
They always invade, kill thousands, take hostages, and then they
use the hostages to end it. They didn't quite do
that this time, which told me is because the hostages
were dead, and they knew they didn't have anything to
turn over. They only kind of like the old Soviet Union,

(21:42):
only respect power. So nobody is enjoying this. Nobody likes
to see, you know, people hurt or killed. These were
very strategic garri strikes taking out very strategic people, but
there's always collateral damage. So this is never good news,
but it is now necessary. It's the only thing terrorists
understand is when you hit them, and hit them hard.

(22:08):
And they invaded first, they killed and raped thousands, They
took hostages, and they haven't been releasing them, and they
weren't even fair releases to begin with. The Israelis would
have to give away I think what was it read
like sixty prisoners terrorist prisoners for every one female that

(22:28):
would be released as a high I mean, was already ridiculous,
and they still weren't complying. And again Israel, like Trump
and America, have been honest, we don't care if they're
dead or alive. Released the bodies, and they still wouldn't.
So Israel hit gods with a series of extensive strikes overnight,

(22:49):
buying to open the gates of hell. If Amas doesn't
now begin to release the remaining hostages, dead or alive.
Israeli Prime Minister bbn at in Yahoo and Defense Minister
of Israel Cats said the Israeli Defense Forces is targeting
Hamas terrorists throughout the region and will act with increasing
military force against Hamas going forward. Ministry of Health officials

(23:11):
told ABC News at least one hundred and thirty one
people were killed in the widespread attacks, with over three
hundred more injured. Quote tonight, we returned to fighting in
the Gaza due to Hamas's refusal to release the hostages
and threats to harm IDF soldiers in Israeli communities. If
Amas doesn't release all hostages, the gates of hell will

(23:34):
open in the Gaza. So this is a step backwards
for what we thought was a winding down towards peace
in the Middle East. Hamas attacks, Hamas invades, rapes and kills,
takes hostages. Cease fire is called, they refuse to release them.
The fighting is back on. Meanwhile, President Trump and Russian

(23:55):
leader Vladimir Putner said to hold very high state conversations today.
You could tells a Trump's tone yesterday. This is the
having lifting part. This is a very very important call
for those of you that care about human life and
desire peace, good day for you to pray. I still
suspect and I am certainly capable of being wrong that

(24:17):
Vladimir Putin is keenly aware. This didn't go well. It's
still not going well, and it can't get anywhere that
ends well. So we'll talk more about this with Steve
and Bouci, But my gut tells me Putin needs a
way to end this and save face and get a
little something now. Deciding what that little something is that

(24:40):
isn't in the perspective of others as a big something,
time will tell. The conversations begin today. We need to
keep an eye on that. The death tone in the storms,
by the way, crept up to forty, and I suspect
that will continue to rise as damage assessments continue. Recovery
and rescue efforts continue in the South and the Midwest
over the past week against really severe storms. Other than that,

(25:04):
the other really big story that we talked about earlier
is Chuckie Schumer having to postpone his book. Event now,
Chucky is getting the Elon Musk treatment because he caved
and he blocked the need for a supermajority to keep
the government open and avoid government shutdown, and thus the

(25:26):
government stayed open and is funded through September. Well, that
got the far left gracing because they are not an
opposing party. They're not serving the American people. They're all
about their power and obstructing. And he betrayed their obsession
with Donald Trump and their obstruction. But you can't get

(25:48):
around the irony, can you that? Chucky Schumer, the minority
leader of the United States Senate, has to postpone his
book event for security concerns and backlash over the government
shut down fight. They create these irrational, lunatic monsters in
their party, and now they have to protect themselves from them.

(26:09):
Buried in this also is the book title Anti Semitism
in America a warning. Remember the Democrats have an eye
problem Israel problem too. Their party's gone so far left
that it can't support Israel. It actually supports Hamas as

(26:33):
the lah Usis are on how a rational is The
party Its own minority leader can't have a book tour
because now they're targeting I believe you've created a monster.
We're gonna get to this more in the sounds of
the day, but I wanted to just play this quick

(26:56):
clip to demonstrate to you how far left the party
has gone on. So here's Bill Maher. Bill Maher was
the atheist, far left bad boy of television who managed
with an HBO show to actually reach some people. So
he wasn't a CNN fringe like his guest Don Lemon

(27:18):
or an MSNBC shill. I mean he was a legitimate
former stand up comedian with a legitimate political show before
everybody was doing politics, including Stevie and a Smith in sports.
All right, So here he is down in his basement
getting stoned, pouring liquor. He drinks tequila, I think, doesn't here, Yeah, tequila,

(27:38):
so liquored up on tequila, with a blunt in his hand,
sitting with Don Lemon and shooting the breeze, and even
Don Lemon throws him this curve ball.

Speaker 10 (27:47):
The same thing when I see not all black Republicans,
when I see a black maga person who is carrying
Donald Trump's water and they know that he's lying, it
is the shortest line.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
To the front. First of all, there's a difference between
a Donald Trump supporter and a Republican. Apparently we could
do that one for about a half hour, right, that's
number one, number two. And anybody that supports Donald Trump
who is black knows he's lying. Nothing specifically, just in general.

(28:18):
Apparently every time Donald Trump opens his lips, he's lying.
He has to be, I presume, because he's white and
they're black. All right, so be talk about killing Bill
Maher's buzz.

Speaker 10 (28:31):
Listen, because if you're black and you're whatever, you're just
in line with a bunch of other Democrats that are
doing the same thing that you're doing. But if you
become a black magaperson, it's like WHOA, let's book this person,
let's put them on television.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
So you don't think you'll be a sincere black maga person, No,
I no, I just said. I don't think that. I
just said.

Speaker 10 (28:51):
I think there can be sincere Republicans, but you can't
be a sincere black Republican.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I think that you can.

Speaker 10 (28:58):
I don't think that you can be a rational maga
be black and be a rational mega person. I think
you can be black and be a Republican.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I think they would find them very introum I think
they would. I've drunk off Mike, but I think they
would find that very He's over there starring as together.
By the way, whenever you get these clips from Bill
maher in the basement, am I the only one that's
concerned for this man sobriety? I mean, oh absolutely. He's
a drunk right and well again and a pothead. That

(29:27):
reminds me one time my midday host in Telsa, Mark Sherman,
God rest his soul, he sins passed away, came to
me with the idea he wanted to do a show
on drunk driving. And thank god, it wasn't pot driving,
it was drunk driving. His idea was I'm going to
get drunk on the air, which sent us to legal Technically,

(29:49):
as a talk show host in a talk studio, he
wasn't really running the board. Therefore there were no legal
issues and he could do it. So I'm like, all right,
