starting your morning off right.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding
because we're in this stage. This is your morning show
with Michael O'Dell jno.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Heard on great radio stations like News Talk five point
fifty k f YI in Phoenix, Arizona, or one oh
four nine The Patriot in Saint Louis, or how about
Freedom one oh four point seven at Washington, d C.
And wherever you find yourself. Good morning and welcome to Wednesday,
the third of July. You're of Our Lord twenty twenty
four on the Aaron streaming live on your iHeartRadio app
(00:55):
on Michael del Joorno.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I did some research, I think so consciously, because.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Oh, there's so much negativity in the news.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
How do you get into the independent spirit that way,
So I went down a rabbit hole in search of
something about Independence Day. I didn't know. I shared one
earlier with you that three of the signers of the
Declaration of Independence died on the fourth of July. Ironically,
two of them on the same day. John Adams and
(01:28):
Thomas Jefferson both died on July fourth, eighteen twenty six.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I didn't know that, and.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Then five years later James Monroe died in eighteen thirty
one on the fourth of July. Three signers dying on
the fourth of July, as Johnny Carson was, I did
not know that. One of the other big things that
I didn't know was that although the Declaration of Independence
(01:58):
was dated July fourth, it wasn't signed. It was actually
voted on July second. We could be celebrating the second
of July and it could be over with already, which
would be very good news.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
For our pets.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
How to prepare your pets for the inevitable fireworks, Well,
that's going to take an animal behavioral expert and trainer. Clearly,
if you've met any of my pets, you know I'm
not that. But Heidi Harriet is Heidi. Thanks for joining us.
You know, there was a great One of the other
things that I found there was a letter from John
Adams to his wife after the signing of the Declaration
(02:33):
of Independency, said he was saying, sweetheart, this is going
to be a huge day. This day is going to
be celebrated every year forever. I mean they're going to
celebrate with parades, bombfires, and fireworks. Not so much bombfires,
but parades and fireworks. He was dead on and fireworks. Well,
animals don't like them, probably for obvious reasons, right, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Good morning. You know, we've had pets for a very
long time, all the way back to then, right, and
we've had we've had fireworks and loud noises, we had
artillery in those days. What's different, I think is that
we're much more emotional for and on behalf of our
pets at this point. And it's really not necessarily in
(03:18):
their best interest. It's certainly people who love their pets
that want to do the best for them. But I'm
going to put something out there a little different, which
is you could train your way forward on this. So
from I'm a third generation trainer, We've had hundreds of animals,
we've trained or owned. And I've used to perform with
my animals and we had fireworks at a lot of
(03:41):
the venues and never really had an animal concerned about it. So,
if you have a solid training foundation program, think that,
think service dog. If the dog's looking at you to
figure out what to do next, is this okay? Should
I be scared about this? I always tell my clients
think small, being nervous and are you going to get
(04:02):
high pitches? It's okay? Are you going to say, hey,
look at hey, we got this. Come on, we're gonna
do this, and you distract them? So, but we're right, Heidi,
how would.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
We do that?
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Would you like literally go out with a few fireworks,
you know, if you know firecrackers?
Speaker 3 (04:17):
No, if you well, if you have a solid training program,
you're really training for all distractions. But we are up
against it now, so yes, you would role play. We
have YouTube now we didn't used to have that, so
you could put something on again, it's going to be
your energy and how matter of fact you are. Put
your dog on a leash. Don't allow them to just
(04:38):
run kind of crazy around the house. Do some of
their like distract them, They subduce of commands, use those
puzzle trays that hide, treat you know, and put on
a comedy or something new like that's going to relax you,
because again they're really they're really bouncing off of your energy.
We use all the things to hide the same them,
(05:00):
the thunder vests, the medication, badbands, whatever you have to
do to get through it this year. But there is
a way forward, and this will you know, not only fireworks,
it's loud noises of any kind. It's even in a
big garbage truck rumbling down the street that I find
my clients have trouble with, so we're looking for training
on that. But yeah, this year it's always about role playing.
(05:23):
So get out there right now and turn on your
YouTube and get them comfortable, get them exercise before the
fireworks and big big takeaway here fifty percent increase in
pets missing on this day.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Okay, that's what I want to get get to the most.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Because obviously there is no such thing as a bad dog,
for example, just bad owners. Right, So the training's either
happened or it hasn't. The problem is most don't train.
The fireworks are going to go off. The biggest problem
is many run away. So you lose them, or we
think we're helping them by locking them up. I had
one friend and a fourth of July locked him up
(06:04):
in the in the bathroom. Well, he scratched and scratched
until he cut his paws and nails. Then he bled
all over. Then he finally got out and got blood
all over the carpet. It was But is that the
dog's fault. That's what anxiety does. But what number one
is they'll run away, right, Yeah, So.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
If you usually, like like I used to let my
dogs out in the backyard to run, I have a
real high fence. But still you don't want to do
that during the fireworks, you know, just take that extra
precauci cats, outdoor cats, cats that roll them around, be
real careful about that. But do make sure they're chipped
and tagged and that kind of thing so that if
they do get away, you could get them back. But yeah,
(06:41):
I always can't train my animals because again, I'm training
because I want my animals to be safe and secure
no matter where they live or who owns them, because
I don't have a crystal ball. That's what training is about.
So I don't personalize it too much. I make it universal,
so you can come and get my dogs. But if
they love their kennel, that's a great place. But yeah,
(07:03):
I would not, for the sake of your home as
well as your pet, put them in a room they're
not accustomed to, because you're going to come home and
have a disaster and you know you have a pet.
Maybe someone has to stay home with the pet, something
like that. Please don't take them to the fireworks. My
dogs don't mind them, but I would never consider doing
that because it's for me, not for them, right, are.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Is it their ears are better than ours or is
it just more of they don't know what it is
and they don't know whether to be anxious and protect you.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Which is it or both?
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Well, honestly, yes, they do have his sharper hearing. But
think about it. If you had a small child in
your home and they'd never heard of firework, they would
like kind of jump as they heard the first one,
and what would your reaction be for them? It would
probably be, oh, it's okay, it's fireworks, and maybe even
make a game out of it. So again, it's really
how we're responding to that as much as and you
(07:58):
will have the occasional animal that is just very fearful.
We can still train our way forward on that. But
this has kind of become epic, and again, pet's heart new.
Fireworks are new. It's just because we've gotten really emotional.
So don't do that.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
It's okay, it's okay.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
And stroke them quickly, say hey, you're fine. Do something
fun with them, and give them a long stroke, almost
like a massage stroke, right, a calming stroke, because when
we're nervous, they're going to be nervous. I tell people,
thank service dog. When the dog looks at you to
figure out what to do, that's when your training is great.
(08:35):
And we may not get there, but it's the old adage.
If you shoot for the moon, you'll lend them on
the stars. You'll have a great trained dog that will
have a great life.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
If I ask you the top three advices you would
give before we say goodbye, because I'm hearing if you
have an outdoor cat, might be a good night to
have them indoors. Probably not a great idea to bring
them to the fireworks, but we can use YouTube and
expose them to that ahead of time.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
If you haven't.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
What exercize, get some good exercise for your especially your dog,
if you're a night walker, get some good exercise, playfetch
with them, take them for a good walk. But it's
a mental stimulation that we're looking for as well, not
just physical. So get in their brain, play fetch with them,
do some of commands, and then again set the tonel
for a fun evening for them. Don't if you're already
(09:23):
writing to me that you're going to be nervous about
fireworks for your dog. I can promise you you Doug's
going to have a hard time because your energy is
already telling that.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Heidi Harriet, animal behavioral expert and trainer, thanks so much
for the tips right before the fourth And that's the
other thing. We don't just do it on the fourth, Right,
they'll start today tonight. They'll be sporadic throughout the weekend,
so be prepared with your pets because a lot of
them disappear during the fourth of July weekend. Appreciate it, Heidi,
thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
All right, fifteen minutes after the hour, we come back.
We got your top five stories of the day. The
biggest of them all the Trump push money case. Is
it just delayed sentence or is this thing up in
the air. Judge Marshaun said, delayed sentencing till September eighteenth,
So so much for doing it right before the Republican Convention.
Another lawfair defeat for the left. But look at his wording.
(10:14):
We'll delay the sentencing till September eighteenth if if such
is still necessary, could they lose their only lawfair victory
to Boot based on the Supreme Court immunity decision And
for the White House and them all narrativizing. Yesterday we
did internal polling. We didn't see any drops. Well, not
(10:37):
only have there been massive drops the memo, their internal
memo leaked. The White House lied to you yesterday and
nobody was on board moving forward with Joe Biden yesterday.
How are they going to feel today? Was it a
bad night or is it good night for Joe Biden?
Where are we? Where are we headed? What's next? What's
(10:59):
their next play? I don't think even they know. And
forecasters are watching if Hurricane Barrel will impact the United States.
It's now a Category five expected as it heads into
the Caribbean to weaken, but areas of South Texas, including Houston,
may see some residual effects. Beryl's path will be better
(11:21):
known after it exits the Yucatan Peninsula later on Thursday.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
This is your morning show with Michael Del Trono.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
If you're a Democrat waking up this morning, the heck
happened to twenty sixteen? Well, you forced Tillery and had
the primary process been given it's due might have been Bernie.
Who knows how that would have turned out. But you meddled.
(11:53):
How do we end up with Joe Biden president? Then
let the primary process, got a deal, took a guy
in fourth in Iowa, seventh in New Hampshire, hit him
in a basement, changed the election laws and created the
shadow campaign to save the democracy. And how do they
(12:13):
find themselves in this dilemma? Well, if you'd have allowed
a primary and let the Democrat voters in a democracy
have their say, it probably would have had RFK. Now,
your lawfare hasn't worked. You got a See now President
nobody wants him. Poll's show he can't win. He's still
(12:35):
refusing to leave. Everything you lie to us about keeps
blowing up in your face. Like yesterday, we did internal polling.
There was no effect from the debate, and we suspect
that's how it'll remain and then the pole leaks and
it's massive losses.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
How much of this is.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
The primary process has failed because these parties are about power,
not democracy. They don't care about the consent of the government.
They don't care about you, the people. We're going to
talk about that with Chris Walker in a third hour
because it needs to be talked about pronto.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Twenty six minutes.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
After the hour. Thanks for waking up with your morning show.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
If you're just waking up, these are your top five
stories of the day.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
The DNC is now telling its donors.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Biden's not going anywhere. I mean, even how would that work.
Mark Mayfield has our road to the White House.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Room to the White House at twenty twenty four. Biden
campaign officials are trying to ease fears among top donors
following President Biden's forward to Bank performance. During a Zoom
call with the Mega donors on Monday, DNC finance director
Chris Corg said that replacing the president on the ticket
is out with the question.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Everyone thinks that it's really easy. Suggest you listen to
what the media is saying and just all of a sudden,
you know, Biden just society. He's not going to run
and so we can just create a whole new scenario
with someone else that we get behind.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
He added, an easy replacement scenario is far from the
truth based on his thirty years of political experience. He
then said Biden won the nomination through a primary process
where the people chose him.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
I'm Mark Mayfield. So where are we? Where are we headed?
What's their next play? They don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
As for the president, we were told it was his cold,
but then he tells everybody it was his foreign travel.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Go figure. Here's Chris Karagio with the story.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
The president spoke with donors at a fundraiser Tuesday in Virginia,
where he said it wasn't very smart when he decided
to travel around the world a couple of times. Shortly
before the debate, he added, I didn't listen to my staff,
and then I almost fell asleep on stage. Biden apologized
to the crowd of donors, saying, it's not an excuse
but an explanation. I'm Chris Carancio.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Are you proud to be an American? Where at least you.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Know you're free? Not everyone is. In fact, pride in
America remains near a record low. Roory O'Neil reports.
Speaker 7 (15:05):
Two out of five Americans say they're extremely proud to
be an American. Another one in four say they're very proud.
These numbers, by Gallup roughly match where we were back
in twenty eighteen, but aren't as bad as the record
lows measured in twenty twenty. Pride in America was at
its highest after the attacks of nine to eleven and
(15:25):
has been on a downward.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Trajectory since twenty fifteen. I'm Rory O'Neil. New rules unveiled today.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
We got some new rules unveiled by the Biden administration
aimed to protect workers from extreme heat. Michael Kassner as
the details.
Speaker 8 (15:41):
The proposed Occupational Safety and Health Administration standard would require
new workers to gradually adjust to working in high temperatures
and require companies to have an emergency heat response plan.
Regularly scheduled safety training would also be implemented. There would
be different safeguards for different temperatures, like increased access us
to water at eighty degrees and paid fifteen minute breaks
(16:04):
at ninety degrees. I'm Michael Cassner.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Bars and restaurants can now air NFL Sunday ticket games
without a satellite dish up until now they had to
do with the direct TV subscription. But now thanks to
a new partnership between ever Pass Media bought up Show
and Now the platform has the technical capabilities to allow
commercial establishments to stream live sports, so you can resume
(16:27):
your heavy drinking and watching your team lose.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Hey, it's me Michael.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Your morning show has heard live from five to eight
am Central, six to nine am Eastern, three to six
am Pacific on great radio stations like News Radio eleven
ninety k EX in Portland, News Talk five fifty k FYI,
and Phoenix, Arizona Freedom one oh four seven at Washington
d C. We'd love to have you join us live
in the morning, even take us along on the drive
to work.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
But better late than never. Enjoy the podcast.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
They're in the news room and the news directors going,
hold hewn, I watch you know I doe story on
Joe Biden in the polls. Let's see how that bad
to pay performance is affecting him in the polls. You
gather up the polls and then you get on there
with del Jarno makes.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Sense of all this.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Unfortunately, since that news director meeting, the actual internal memo
of Biden administration. Polling got leaked and it looks disastrous. Obviously,
they lied to us twenty four hours ago when they said, oh,
there was no change in the polling. Colorado is now
a razor edge lead for Joe Biden, Minnesota is a draw,
(17:33):
Maine is now a draw. New Mexico he's losing. Virginia,
he's losing New Hampshire's down by nearly three. Wisconsin four,
Nebraska four, Michigan seven, Pennsylvania seven point three, Nevada eight
point eight, Arizona nine point seven. Now that to look
at here, Rory, and this is their own polling that leaked.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
This is a disaster, right because, as we've said so
many times before, those national polling numbers are fun to
look at but don't mean anything, whereas these state polling numbers,
internal numbers. I think Puck News was the first to
get them, but these swing state pole numbers are pretty brutal.
So we're going to have a phone call today with
the President and the Democratic governors. We got the first
(18:15):
Democratic member of Congress to say Joe, thank you. Time
to go, and there are more than two dozen other
Democratic members of Congress reportedly waiting in the wings to
follow that first Texas Democrat.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
So let's see what happens.
Speaker 7 (18:31):
You know, I don't think an interview with George Stephanopoulos.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
It's going to help you. Nobody thinks.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
So all right, something is fascinating. Where are where are we?
Where are we headed? And what's their next move? I
think the answer is they don't know yet what their
next move is here. But here's the bottom line. If
you're sitting around a conference room table, let's say you
and I are in charge of getting Joe Biden reelected. Well,
we don't have the luxury of spending time in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona,
(19:00):
places we thought. I mean, we've got polling that suggests
this polling, in particular the leaked he's lost forty percent
of his base, people that voted for him in twenty
twenty that do not plan to vote for him. He's
got to circle back and secure his base before he
can get to those that are on the fence. Let
alone you can. You may have to go secure New York,
(19:21):
New Jersey. I'm not making this up. Minnesota, Colorado, this
ivy from listen. I've done you and I have reported
on this for four decades. This is insurmountable with what
is what not even one hundred and something days because
the way the laws are written, they got to know
who this candidate is in about thirty.
Speaker 7 (19:40):
Days, right, especially those Ohio rules. And look, you know,
I'm not all in on this pole. You know it
is an online pole, which are notoriously bad, but you
still need to say you can't ignore it. At the
same time, you can't you shouldn't panic by it, but
it is troubling. You see these areas like Virginia, Maine, Minnesota,
(20:04):
New Mexico perhaps now being competitive when they wouldn't have been.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Right, well, and I'll play talk show hosts, so you
don't have to whether these are accurate or not.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
They lied to us.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
So twenty four hours ago they said, we did internal
polling and it doesn't show any big losses, and we
suspect that's how the rest of the poles are going
to look in the coming days. Well, now we're seeing
them and they're huge losses. I mean going from winning
to losing in big margins or doubling what you're losing
by or losing your entire lead. So if they lied
about that, what else are they lying about. I mean,
(20:38):
this is becoming a credibility nightmare. Never mind the polls,
who's the they? And then what number were they referring
to because.
Speaker 7 (20:46):
The national number, Yeah, it was a point eight dick
so they could say, yeah, so I don't know what
the question was.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
But well, because what makes it relevant is when Jean Pierre,
Jean Crimpierre was asked does he have all No, of
course not, and I hope you're asking the other opponent
that qut.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Well, but he's not showing signs of it.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
And he did have a cognitive test. Your candidate has it.
This is becoming unmanageable, right, well it is.
Speaker 7 (21:14):
So now this is when you wait and see what
the Biden campaign does in some broad sweeping action to
shake things up, Right, that's going to be the next narrative. Well,
he's shaking things up because he's going to fire two
people you never heard of, and for the first time
even Donald Trumpet said, you don't fire anybody. But we're
going to see some changes, I think, but they're only
(21:34):
going to be cosmetic if we really do have twenty
five members of Congress come out today to say that
Joe Biden has to step aside Democratic members of Congress
at that as the news reports suggests.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
Holy cow, this is this is a train leaving the station.
Roy O'Neil or your morning show. A national correspondent is
joining us.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
And I love to kick these things around with you
because A I think you're very smart, and B you're
obviously very up on all of this. RFK said something
that got me thinking, and I guess it was like
the obvious thing in the room that it was so
obvious that I thought about it.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
A long time ago, but we never bring it up.
How do we How did how did they end.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Up with Hillary losing? Well they would have had Bernie,
but they meddled. How did they end up with Joe Biden?
Well they meddled or they would have had Bernie. How
did they get in this position because they don't allow
and trust the voters in the primary process? Do we
have a primary process problem because of hungry two party systems?
Speaker 7 (22:30):
That's an interesting way to look at it. It's also
I think the donor class versus the regular Joe's You know,
if you want to say it was going to be
Bernie Sanders, I'll fight you on that. But if you
want to say it was going to be Bernie Sanders.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
You know, there's obviously no money.
Speaker 7 (22:44):
Behind him, and that's I think it's the money difference
that steps in and well in.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
That one, but I mean the but meddling in the
primary process in general. In other words, if and we
knew this going in, that most voters weren't interested in
this rematch on either side. Donald Trump, Yeah, Donald Trump
survived it. Joe Biden didn't. They didn't allow an opponent.
Maybe they would have been better off, maybe the people
would have done a better job than they've done. Whatever,
(23:09):
however it happened. They're in a mess right now. So
what's next. Do they know what their next move is?
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I don't think so.
Speaker 7 (23:18):
And I think the governor's conversation would be interesting. Congressman
Clyburn is also having a heart to heart with Joe Biden.
I thought that was an interesting note. Without clever in
South Carolina, Joe Biden would not have happened running for president.
So it's an interesting twist. And look, we've only heard
from the chattering class, the people on X and the
(23:38):
people with podcasts and newsletters and on the pharmacy channels
also known as the cable news networks. They're the ones
that we're hearing all the noise and the chatter from.
And I think you and I also have a distorted
vision in many cases because we pay attention to this stuff.
And you got to realize fifty two million people tuned
in last week, so two hundred and eight five million
(24:00):
don't give it dark and that's still something else.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Yeah, but that doesn't hold up either, because that's that's
you know, that's somebody watched it live. Many have seen
clips since many of the red stories, So.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
If you wanted to see it, you would have watched.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Yeah, but eighty percent now see this president the way
they saw him before, incognitively impaired. And I don't think
the axio stories have helped that. He's at ten to
ten am to four pm president. We got a midday
guy president, let alone the three am phone calls Hillary
used to talk about, all right, well.
Speaker 7 (24:30):
Please is an eighty one year old man. Of course
he's up at three o'clock in the morning. Who are
you kidding?
Speaker 1 (24:36):
At least, well, unless he's actually that depends ry There
you go, final moments, you'll be you'll be working tomorrow
and Friday.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
What do you get planned for listeners on this Fourth
of July. Oh dependence, more.
Speaker 7 (24:48):
About this, just what you needed, We've got. Mister Scaramucci
is in the mix. We're talking about some White House experts,
some history about the White House in there as well.
Great story about a soldier who was a sad story
about a soldier killed in the line of action, though,
and the sacrifices that his family have made since then.
Oh gosh, we're gonna talk summer safety. We're gonna talk sharks,
(25:10):
We're gonna talk grilling. We're gonna talk a whole mix
of everything for the next two days.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
By the way, do you have a fourth independent state
tradition like mine?
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Is?
Speaker 1 (25:19):
I always watch James Kagan was one of my favorite
actors whoever loved.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
I realize it's dated.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
It's a different style and pattern and speed than today.
But the George M cohan story and Yankee Doodle Dandy
is one of mine. Do you have any little Fourth
of July traditions?
Speaker 7 (25:35):
George M cohen a Rhode Islander, just putting that out there.
There are so few of us we have to band together. No,
nothing quite like that. Yeah, all right.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Well, we're gonna both watch Yankee Doodle Dandy, and we're
gonna text each other in black and white.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
That's what we'll do.
Speaker 7 (25:52):
Summer heat and we all just stay inside with the
windows shades drawn and wait for the thunder to pass.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
That's what That's probably where I'm as well, Rory. Happy
Independence Day. We'll talk after the holidays, and I know
you're going to entertain people and inform them great while
we're gone. God bless you, my friend, Michael, if you're
just waking up, I just so happen to have you're
not one, not two, not three, not four, but Top

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Numeroal Oh no, if you will.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Former President trump sentencing in his New York hush money
case is being postponed until September eighteenth, although if you
go by Judge Marshawn's wording, the new sentencing date is
September eighteenth, certainly not before but after the conventions and
quote unquote, if such is still necessary. Meanwhile, the White
(26:44):
House says the President has no medical issues. Mark Mayfield
has art today in politics.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
The White House says President Biden does not have Alzheimer's
disease or any other form of dementia. Press Secretary Karin
Jean Pierre was asked if Biden suffers from any degenerative
illness following last week's debate against Donald Trump.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
The guess right answers to you, are you ready for
each It's a note and I hope you're asking the
other guy in the same exact question.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
The White House is trying to ease concerns over Biden's
fitness to serve, claiming he simply had a bad night and.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Suffered from a cold.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
This comes after Biden's struggled at times to make clear
statements on his positions during the debate against Trump. Former
President Trump's sentencing in his New York hush money cases
being postponed until September. This comes after Trump's lawyers fouled
a letter with the judge looking to set aside the
recent guilty verdict. The sentencing will now be delayed until
September the eighteenth, at the earliest. The lawyers asked for
more time to go over any potential impact from the

Supreme Court's immunity decision, which gave Trump immunity for official
acts in office, and a New York State appeals court
has ruled to dismar former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
That's politics, Mark Nyfield, NBC News Radio.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Tens of millions of travelers are out and about for
this Independence Day holiday. NBC News is Tom Costello has
more tales on the record number of Americans taking to
the air.
Speaker 9 (28:03):
The record thirty two million passengers nearly three million a
day are flooding through TSA checkpoints over the extended July
fourth stretch. Average wait times thirty minutes for standard screenings,
under ten minutes for pre check.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Maderna has reached a deal with the United States Health
and Human Services Department to develop a pandemic flu vaccine
two to haye and one Chris Carrazio has to tail.
Speaker 6 (28:29):
An HHS official called it an important step in our
nation's pandemic influenza preparedness and response. Capability to move will
be useful in case the shot is necessary.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
With the outbreak of bird flu.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
The government has four point eight million doses of an
H five vaccine under production, tailoring to the currently active
strange of the H five N one bird flu virus.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
I'm Chris Kranjio.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
I know many of you are quote unquote anti jab,
but how do you feel about a snort. A University
of Georgia based startup will launch a nazy covid vaccine
trial this fall. Sarah Lee Kesler reports.
Speaker 10 (29:03):
Scion VACLLC has received funding from Project next Gen, a
federal initiative based in the US Department of Health and
Human Services. The new vaccine well that's based on a
viral delivery platform containing modified strains of canine influenza, which
causes kennel cough in dogs. The clinical trial will evaluate
(29:24):
the effectiveness and safety of its new vaccine compared to
an FDA approved mRNA vaccine currently used to protect against
serious COVID nineteen. On This Sarah Lee Kessler, NBC News Radio.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
I'm executive chef George Harvelle.
Speaker 7 (29:42):
My Morning show is your Morning Show with Michael del Jorna.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
I'm glad we got a little loone time. I'm Michael,
Good morning. We're all in this together. How'd we get here? Well, obviously,
if it took the debate for you to finally come
to the conclusion that Joe Biden is cognitively impaired, not
(30:05):
capable of doing this job any longer, that's not to
say that every eighty one year old would be, but
this particular eighty one year old, Well, then you probably
haven't been very honest with yourself. And for the media
that's now telling you the truth, that's proof they haven't
been very honest with you up until now. But the
most important question all that, aside, who's been running this country?
Speaker 2 (30:33):
And don't we the people have a right to know.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Everybody's viewing this as a what to do between now
and November question, and the real question is what that
has been going on for the last three and a
half years. Who's been running this country and how they
get in this mess? Meddling, controlling, who's really behind the curtain?
(31:01):
Who's the real wizard? It's clearly not Barack Obama. Well,
someone I kind of favor a little bit, Telsey Gabber.
Gabbard responded to all of that.
Speaker 11 (31:12):
Listen, well, you'll remember, Jason that they didn't really have
a Democratic primary at all. They didn't give Democrat voters
in that primary an option.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
But here we find.
Speaker 11 (31:22):
Ourselves as we see all of this inner squabbling happening
amongst the Democrats and influential people in the Democratic sphere
about whether or not Joe Biden should remain the nominee
or whether they should swap him out. And you look
at why this infighting is happening, it's because they don't
really care about what's best for the country. Quite frankly,
(31:43):
when you look at it, really they don't really care
about Joe Biden. This isn't about loyalty to Joe Biden.
They're trying to figure out how best they can stay
in power. So they're trying to figure out is Joe
Biden that winning horse or do they need to put
him out to pasture and find someone else that they
believe can who will also be a figurehead that they
can be the puppet masters for and control.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
So now I gotta hit pause for a second. Think
about that.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
You see, if they'd have allowed the primary process to
have its day, might have produced our FK, might have
produced Telsea Gabbard, might have produced Telsey Gabbard and our
FK to unite and unify the party in a ticket.
That option isn't given because our FK wouldn't play and
(32:34):
be a puppet. Telsea Gabbard wouldn't play and be a puppet.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Hey got to.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Give credit where credit is due for Olmar and AOC
and the rest of the squad. They won't be anybody's puppet.
That's why their options are so thin.
Speaker 11 (32:54):
You pointed out Jill and Hunter Biden, But really I
think there's something far more serious going on here about
who's really in control. Clearly, Joe Biden showed the country
in the debate that he is incapable of being the
president and commander in chief. Clearly is not calling the shots.
So we should all be asking who is really calling
the shots. And it's what we know to be the
(33:15):
deep state. It's those who are an unelected positions or
maybe political figures they.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
See way I love her. It's John Podesta. He's the
longest running president of American history. We're all in this together.
