but better late than never. Enjoy the podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Two three starting your morning off right. A new way
of talk, a new way of understanding because we're in
this stupid This is your morning show with Michael Dell Trana.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Is it just me or does every Monday feel like
a time change? This comes a little bit early, doesn't it?
It really does. Well, stop you crippet and I hit
the snooze just one more time. The life torch is lit.
Time to get up, rise and shine. Early bird gets
the worm, the lazy squirrel misses the nut six minutes
after the hour. Thanks for waking up with your morning
(00:55):
show on the air and streaming live on your iHeart app.
I'm sure my engineer and producer Jeffrey's already done at
least ten burpies today. I have belt s once. If
you're just waking up Israel kind of a different burpie. Okay,
Israel is retaliating after Hesbelah rocket attacks killed twelve children
(01:16):
in the Israeli occupied Golden Heights. Trump has committed to
the outdoor rallies as well as he's headed back to Butler.
Let me tell you something. Neuroassociations are a powerful thing. Yes,
they are. When I was at Louisiana State University my
freshman year, we put two banquet chicken TV dinners in
(01:37):
the oven. Had nothing to do with the banquet chicken,
but we had already picked up a virus. Oh, then
we get violently ill. Ooh. I never and I'm fifty
nine getting ready to turn sixty. Have never eaten a
banquet or any chicken TV dinner again in my life.
(01:57):
That's the power of a neuroassociation. I have the same
problem with pink lemonade. Right, something bad happened. You're taken
out on the last thing you shoved in there, that's right.
But to go back and overcome a neuroassociation and go back,
but I mean, there's just well I think Junior said
it best, right. Yeah, a man, you are a serious badass.
(02:20):
Trump's heading back to Butler, PA of course, you know,
we have the mainstream media pivot. They're back to narratives,
they're back to gas lighting. They're all for the left.
So you have this glorious rewriting of reality, momentum and
invincibility of Kamala Harris juxtapositioned with of course, did you
(02:45):
see jd Vance what he said about single women with cats,
what he's done to cat limit everywhere, And of course
Donald Trump made a comment you know, but you'll never
have to vote again, all of course blown out of
context as the media is back to it's old tricks again.
Everybody was up in arms all weekend over the Olympics.
(03:05):
They seem to have offended the world. As jd Vance
offended cat owners, they offended the world and Christians everywhere,
a lot of people threatening to boycott. That's what we do.
Pretty soon, we're gonna have two chants today cat strong,
catwomen strong, single catwomen strong, and then the other will
be hashtag don't watch. I think my wife, who was
(03:30):
convinced that I don't appreciate her opinions, what did she
send me? Two things? One on the Olympic flag is
a fake. It's not real flames, it's electric kind of
like you know, your electric fireplaces, which I don't mind
quite frankly. I like the instant satisfaction. You know. Sometimes
I even put it on the TV. I don't care
that helps the value. But that's the least of the stories. Actually,
(03:53):
I see she's gonna take that as criticism. Yes, the
Olympic flame is fake, as Paris is seeking to be electric,
as if that's any greener than gas. I don't know,
by the way, that with all the memes I've seen,
I'm not believing Snoop Dogg went to that flame with
a blunt No no, no, no, no, that's photoshopping. But
(04:16):
I will tell you what they've done. They're trying to
be so green that in the Olympic village a lot
of the athletes have had to flee to apartments. They
don't have air conditioning for them. They're in really cramped quarters.
It's got like four people in this like jail cell
with sharing a bathroom. There's no air conditioning. They're using
some kind of a cool water system in the middle
(04:37):
of a heat wave. I mean, as they're trying to
be greener than green. It's flopper than flop to go
along with of course, the Last Supper and whatever, you know,
the shame of the the offending of Christians. I want
to get to my wife's comments, she says, regarding the boycott,
it's stupid. The Olympics are about the athletes, not the
(04:58):
stupid performance of the host country, which doesn't even represent
the people of France quite frankly, just the narrow minded,
hateful views of the people in control of the opening ceremony.
Blame the Olympic idiots, not the athletes. I pretty much
said in a different way, which is, you know, a
(05:22):
just a little gentle reminder that we all live in
a fallen world and it's going to be on display
from time to time, all right, So it's tragic that
organizers hijack the games with a woke play. I get it,
But none are the athletes and their lifelong sacrifice. No,
(05:44):
I don't plan to boycott either, and I just remember,
it's just a tragic reality check proof. We live in
a world, but we're not of it, and we got
a lot more work to do on the light front, apparently.
But yeah, and we're leading, by the way, are we twelve?
Nothing That's more than they can say. In Venezuela, where
(06:06):
they can't decide who won, although one of the candidates
in Venezuela said, but at least we didn't try to
kill the other. Yeah, she got that. Going forward, Sarah
realis here, Kamala Harris, you have hacked her laptop and
we have all of her financial disclosures. Let's go through them,
shall we hear?
Speaker 3 (06:22):
And the second gentleman, Yes, and actually, don't worry. They're
disclosed by the federal Yes, they are.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
That's what.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, just let's let's be cooler. Basically, long story short,
her investment style is boring, boring, Yeah, a lot of Actually,
you know, obviously she's seeking the highest office in the land,
and it's nice to be free of financial conflict. But
they say that she owns a bunch of index funds,
and that they say, like her financial disclosures prove that
(06:54):
she owns a bunch of index funds, and there's very
simply no way that she can game the system. Actually,
a lot of experts are saying she is one of
the cleanest portfolios you'll ever see on a politician. Like
if you if you're invested in index funds, like you
have your it's diversified and you're just playing with the fun.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Let's just say we found the only thing about Kamala
Harris that's conservative.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
There you go, right, yeah, that's actually really funny.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
That's nutshell.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
But now you're in the you're in the money, you know,
following sector. I mean, this is your wheel hub. Is
this what investment nerds do? They take a look at
the candidate's portfolios and see what they can glean from them.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
They do and know what, if you want to like
the example, look at look at Nancy Pelosi, Oh my goodness,
Like she is one of the leading reasons why Congress
is currently debating whether or not these elected leaders should
be restricted from investing their own money based on information
that they're literally legislating. So like talk about insider information.
(07:53):
You're creating the rules, and then of course you're going
to make money. And there's actually a group of senators
right now that are pushing for this bill that would
prohibit prohibit members of Congress, their spouses, their kids for
buying certain investments stocks.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah, yeah, you did it. Serious, I was going to
bail you out and just do a joke. Yeah, she
can have a more high risk portfolio because she gets
inside her tips but yeah, you want there.
Speaker 6 (08:14):
Literally actually like it's it's a very for her, a
super conservative portfolio in the sense that she knows it's
going to happen, but this is he just.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Always blown my mind and been this like very open.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
What you're like, how is this what?
Speaker 3 (08:33):
And of course very few congressional leaders not only don't
support this, and like, actually, it's really funny if you
ever watched a clip of when someone like dropped this
question on Nancy Pelosi of like, howdy, what's going on?
She was like, uh, I think it's a free country
and people should invest how they want.
Speaker 6 (08:49):
You to see, like you're like, yeah, that's a hard
one for you to answer, Like that's going to be difficult.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
You and I don't go over a portfolio and go
if there was just this law, or if we could
get this kind of funding for investment in this sector
and I knew it before everyone else, Yeah, that'd be
a great and that'd be very convenient. I guess the
bottom line is everybody wants to know, Okay, what's Kamala
worth well, and more so, what was she worth upon
arriving in Washington, DC compared to what she's worth. Now,
(09:16):
that's where kind of everybody uses the new matrix.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Right because obviously you can get rich trading on information
that you privy to. So they're like, if you're not
using this and you're still broken, you're like really really
slow on the uptick. Long story short, she's had these
index funds her she lits eight different index funds that
she's invested in, two separate four fifty seven b So
those are the deferred compensation plans for her time working
(09:40):
in California. Then her husband has like thirty investment funds.
And actually a lot of experts would say that, like
they should cut down and just like consolidate because there's
a lot of overlapping exposure. But she's well diversified. Maybe
it's like even more than necessary.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
And then what did it? By the way, do you
know I shouldn't throw curveballs at you? But what does
the second gentleman you that's actually agree it wasn't he
a doctor? I don't remember. We don't call him. We
call doctor Jill a doctor, and we don't call him
a doctor. He's a doctor. Well maybe he's not.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Maybe I just made that up. And that's a great question.
It's not curveballs are welcome, and.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Aaron will have an update on what the second Gentleman
does for a living to create conservative index funds in
her six thirty four report, I will, I will. Why
did I turn into Hugh Downs on that? What was
that really good? I liked it? I liked it.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
I think it's good.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
By the way, they even found an old, old piece
of footage of Hugh sexually harassing Barbara Walters. Did you
guys see that one?
Speaker 3 (10:37):
By the way, he's a lawyer.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
He's a lawyer, a lawyer, so he's in They both
both attorneys. I guess that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
A lot of attorneys marry each other. I've noticed that
in my own personal I'm like, oh, are you guys all?
I would never like rent you guys an apartment.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
They're attracted to each other's wrinkled suits, is my theory.
Er we'll be back at six thirty four. President Trump
is proposing a strategic national critrypto's stockpile. Aaron broke the
story about he's a crypto friendly guy and now he's
going hypercrypto, and she'll have more on that coming up.
You need to go to your six fifteen Bye bye,
(11:10):
all right, see how I keep track of her schedule.
Offer H one N one survivor, Yeah, public speaker, talk
show host, stand up comedian slash, Aaron Rayle's personal secretary.
It's all on my resume. Top five stories of the
Day omar Uno. Former President Trump says they'll continue holding
(11:32):
out door rallies following the attempt on his life earlier
this month. Mike Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Reports in a post on truth Social Sunday, Trump send
the Secret Service has agreed to substantially heightened protection at
those events. He did not provide any details on what
additional steps might be taken. Trump said on Friday he
plans to head back to Butler, Pennsylvania, where the assassination
attempt took place, to hold another campaign rally. I'm Mark Mayfew.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Meanwhile, Vice President Harris is headed to Houston, Texas this
week for the funeral Representative Sheila Jackson Lee. Chris Caragio
has that story.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Harris will attend Thursday's service for her longtime friend and
sorority sister. The two were both members of the country's
first historically black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, and frequently worked
together on shared legislative issues in Congress. Jackson Lee passed
away earlier this month after battling cancer. Thursday's trip to
Houston will be Harris's third visit to the lone.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Star state in the last month. I'm Chris Krahi. All
the vice presidential wannabes were on parade before the cameras
this weekend. As for Transportation Secretary Mayor Pete buddha Jig,
he tried to score VP stripes by saying voters are
concerned over the former president Donald Trump's age and well being.
This is how much they're gaslighting us. Jose Ah Hero,
(12:46):
Joseph Patriot, Joe can still run circles around the interns. Now,
Donald Trump's the one that's cognitively impaired. And of course
there's a simple solution for the younger of oone and write,
Lisa Cardin reports.
Speaker 8 (13:02):
In an interview with Fox New Sunday, Buddhajig argued that
Americans are worried about Trump's mental acuity at age seventy eight,
and how.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Could anybody not watch the stuff he's saying, the rambling
on the trail and not be just a little bit concerned.
Speaker 8 (13:15):
He said Trump is older and stranger than he was
when he began his political career. Boodhajej is considered to
be a potential running mate for Kamala Harris. I'm Lisa Carton.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Former president Vice President Al Gore. Former Vice President Al
Gore joined the band wagon and endorsed Vice President Kamala
Harris for president. Of course, said on X Sunday that
Harris was the kind of climate champion we need in
the White House. America responded quickly by saying, Yeah, where
did he come from all of a sudden? Uh, he's
(13:47):
still there. Get out of that rocktail there. The Venezuelan
president Maduro and opposition candidate Gonzalez are both claiming victory
this morning in their country's election. The vote was marred
by accusations of foul play from both sides. Very American
actually in the end, and a new blood test can
(14:08):
determine if memory loss is the result of Alzheimer's disease
and more than ninety percent accurate a simple blood test,
not an MRI. Mark Mayfield is back with that story.
Speaker 7 (14:19):
Let's till you found that the test called pTau two
seventeen was more accurate than diagnoses from specialists or primary
care and dountors. The results were published Sunday in the
Journal of the American Medical Association. I'm Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Deadpool and the Wolverine smashing box office records. The R
rated Marvel Studios film is expected to bring in over
two hundred and five million dollars its opening weekend. That
would make it the biggest R rated opening of all
time and the eighth biggest opening in Hollywood history.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
And that's your top five stories of the day. This
is your morning show with Michael Deltno.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Thanks for waking up with your morning show. I'm Michael
del Jorner. Welcome to Monday, Lie the twenty ninth year
of All Old twenty twenty four. I know all the
talk is over the Olympic opening, which, by the way, tragic, right,
I mean, my hopes were so high, such a beautiful
city as a backdrop, using the Send River to have
(15:16):
you buy I don't know. The freakiest of it all
was the horse with the flag. That was a little
that was kind of kind of creepy. But yeah, you
had the drag queens forming the Last Supper or was
it the Roman hedonistic festival that was being depicted. In
the end, the Olympic Committee apologized for offending anyone, But
(15:38):
you got such a beautiful backdrop. I thought the balloon
lighting was magnificent. Turns out as a fake. It's not
using real gas, it's all electric. But it defended a
lot of people. So you have in America everybody willing
to throw away our future. Pay four dollar gas, pay
pay thirty percent more for groceries. Continue with these wars
(15:58):
until they're a world war, all because we're offended over cats.
I mean, you know, it's just a crazy time to
be alive. In the end, can we focus on the
athletes who have sacrificed and have trained. Simone Biles injured
herself in warm ups, played hurt, kind of like a
flashback to Olympics past, only this time she mentally overcame it,
(16:20):
put in a tremendous performance in the qualifying rounds. Simone
Biles fought for America, fought for her team, and America
triumphs in the qualifying gymnastics competition. More medals are headed
home for Team USA. From the pool. Carson Foster finished
third in the men's four hundred meters individual medley to
(16:41):
capture the bronze medal. In the women's one hundred meter butterfly,
Tory Husky and Gretchen Walsh. Gretchen, of course from Nashville,
finished first and second to win the gold and the silver,
and Nick Fink also took home a silver medal after
trying for the second time in the men's one hundred
meter breaststroke. And five more events are on tap for
swimming today. Hi, I'm Michael. I'd love to have you
(17:03):
listen to your morning show live. Every day. We're heard
on great stations like News Talk five point fifty k FYI,
Phoenix News Radio eleven ninety k EX in Portland at
ten ninety, the Patriot in Seattle. Make us a part
of your morning routine. Love to have you listen live,
but in the meantime, enjoy the podcast. I don't like
to wake you up with too much heavy stuff, but
what a weekend that was. Right. If you're serious about faith,
(17:29):
then you don't have add Your attention isn't easily diverted.
You should have a laser focus on the author and
perfector of your faith and be filled with grace and
mercy for others that was extended to you. You're busy
loving others, loving enemies as you love yourself decreasing so
(17:53):
that he may increase being light. But you know sometimes
you know, I wake up here, I am hosting a show,
and are you kidding me? You have war in the
epicenter of the world, miles from the Temple mount and
you're focused on symbolism and an Olympic ceremony. Did you
(18:16):
see social media this weekend that Horus is the horse
some revelation. Meanwhile, nobody's noticed in the war in the
Middle eastsh we got an energy crisis, a border crisis,
an economic crisis, a cultural crisis. Can't vote for Trump?
Speaker 4 (18:35):
No?
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Did you see what JD. Van said about cats? Maybe horrible?
Where are we now? One of the things. On a
serious note, I'll hand it to the left. I mean
they've got a lot of weapons in their arsenal, they
got a lot of arrows in their quiver. I mean
they control intelligentsia, not just higher education but common education
(18:55):
now and they can carefully, over years and decad aids,
rewrite history, shape the narrative of the world. Then they
control the media, so they can shape reality and real time.
And that's what we have happening right now, are reshaping
of reality and real time. Just a week ago. Oh
(19:17):
my gosh, Joe Biden is like memory care nursing home,
cognitively impaired. What a betrayal. The Democrats covered this up,
The Vice president covered this up, the media covered this up.
Who's been running the country. He's on television now a
(19:48):
week later, he's the greatest president in the history of
the United States of America. He's still running circles around
interns and Kamala Oh, he selflessly hands the a ton
to the next show. Here's the sounds of the weekend.
Elizabeth Warren, a native American herself, I might add and
(20:09):
the same you know, like in this case CNN and
Jake Tapper. But the same media that was all out
dismantling the Democrat Party because they wanted to get rid
of Joe because they didn't think he could win, they're
back on board selling the narrative. This one. This might
(20:34):
even be harder to swallow than cats.
Speaker 9 (20:35):
One of the issues President Biden said he would focus
on in the remainder of his term is reform of
the US Supreme Court. Among the changes he's reportedly considering,
our term limits and an.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Enforceable ethics code for justices.
Speaker 9 (20:48):
Now you've been working on this issue in the Senate,
What realistically do you think you could get through Congress?
Not what should be, but what do you think you
could actually accomplish.
Speaker 10 (20:59):
Yeah, we've got all the Democrats who are ready for
meaningful ethics reform to bind the Supreme Court, and we're
working on changes to the Supreme You.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
See, when one of the equal branches of government does
things that you don't agree with, then you just try
to dismantle them. I imagine if the Supreme Court made
its goal today to dismantle Congress. Wait a minute, let
me imagine that for a minute. That fault good. By
the way, the context of his question was, don't give
(21:31):
me your narrative and rhetoric. What are the odds of
it happening? Of course she doesn't want to answer that
because it's this simple. The West Virginia seat is lost,
the Senate is now split fifty to fifty, and they
got to run the table and it doesn't look likely
by any stretch in Montana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Arizona, Wisconsin,
(21:57):
Delaware in order for any of this nonsense she's viewing
to even happen. So the answer is, it's not going
to happen, but let's hear him out anyway, as they
hate another branch of government, because, after all, if you
don't share their worldview, if you don't share their party's
platform and policy views, you are an enemy of democracy.
Speaker 10 (22:17):
Sprame court. It can be term limits, it could be
adding the number of justices. Things we can do without
having to have a constitutional amendment. I think what President
Biden is doing is think about this moment. Here is
a man who's been a transformative president. He's got an
enormous amount done.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
He's been a transformative president. Yes, he's transformed, all right.
Speaker 10 (22:41):
And yet he has stepped away and he has passed
the torch to Kamala Harris. Why has he done that.
He's done it as an act of patriotism for our nation.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
And he is sick because you, every single one of
your colleagues, the empty suit you're talking, and everybody in
the biased mainstream media. They forced him out, Elizabeth, and
he belongs in a nursing home, not with nuclear codes.
I'm sorry, am I interrupting your narrative that he's transformative,
(23:15):
he's a hero, he's a jolly goodfellow. Why he's Washington himself.
Speaker 10 (23:20):
Saying we not only have to have a president who
is here for the nation and who will heal us
and bring us together.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
I will settle for just here. Yes, we all have.
Speaker 10 (23:33):
To change our Supreme Court, because right now it doesn't.
We have a Supreme Court that has basically jumped the
guard rails and is out there giving power to the president,
saying that the president can commit any act that the
president wants, saying that Congress cannot authorize agencies to act.
(23:56):
So we've got a Supreme Court that is actively undermining
our democer.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
All right, So if you vote against a Democrat candidate,
you're anti democracy, You're a threat to the democracy, You're
an insurgent, you're an enemy of the state. A candidate
who runs against them is the same, and maybe even
a cat hater. And now, if you support the constitution, no, no, no, no, no,
(24:24):
don't miss this. The Constitution itself is an enemy of democracy.
Speaker 10 (24:31):
See. And I think what Joe Biden will do over
the next six months is he's going to keep drawing
that to the attention of the American people and reminding
them when they vote in November, the Supreme Court is
on the ballot and that is a good reason to
vote for Kamala Harrison, to vote for Democrats in both
the Senate and the House.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Why do you have it now? What's the takeaway? Because
only have a minute. Yes, from common education to higher education,
to Hollywood sitcoms, dramas, documentaries. They rewrite history and the
mainstream media, which is dead. They're not journalists. They narrative ize,
(25:19):
and we're not news consumers, we're narrative repeaters. They rewrite reality.
Joe Biden's out a senile old man that they hid
from us and duped us with. He's transformative. He's one
of the greatest presidents in history, and he's done the
most sacrificial thing, handing things over, passing the torch to
the new camelot, Kamala Harris. And in his last one
(25:46):
hundred days and in her next four years, they're going
to dismantle the Supreme Court because the Constitution doesn't matter anymore,
just their agenda us and it's another enemy in their way.
And what are we focused on? Should dump JD's dants?
(26:06):
I already say such a thing about cats, I mean
like cats, add man. The polls don't suggest that there's
any of this glorious, invincible momentum. But I sometimes wonder
if you guys are buying it, and please, for the
(26:26):
love of God stop. That's a nice thing about the Olympics.
We put all this nonsense and hatred aside for a
couple of weeks and through sport compete, we could even
get past the opening ceremonies. There give me a break,
threatened Frank and tennessee in my morning show?
Speaker 8 (26:48):
Is your morning show with Michael Del Johno, Rise.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
And shine, Welcome to July the twenty ninth. Here's what
you need to know. This is your morning show. I
am Michael del Johno, and these are your top five
s of the day. Well, the dem sweaty roof Clay
has gained some more momentum. Mark Mayfield has our road
to the White House.
Speaker 7 (27:07):
Democrats are rallying around Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential campaign.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren told CNN's State of the Union
Harris is ready to lead the nation and is the
best candidate to defeat Donald Trump.
Speaker 10 (27:20):
She is the national leader on making sure that we
restore Roe versus Way, she said.
Speaker 7 (27:25):
Harris as a record of fighting for working families and
wants to sign Roe V. Wade into law, and the
Harris campaign says it has raised two hundred million dollars
in its first week. Campaign officials announced the huge total
on Sunday, noting they've already signed up more than one
hundred and seventy thousand volunteers. According to the statement, two
thirds of the donations came from first time donors supporting
(27:46):
the Vice president's bid for the White House. I'm Markneyfield.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
As for Vice President Harris, she said it to Houston
this week for the funeral of Representative Sheila Jackson Lee.
Chris Caragio has the details.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Harris will attend Thursday service for her longtime friends and
sorority sister. The two were both members of the country's
first historically black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, and frequently work
together on shared legislative issues in Congress. Jackson Lee passed
away earlier this month after battling cancer. Thursday's trip to
Houston will be Harris's third visit to the lone Star
(28:18):
State in the last month.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
I'm Chris Kragio. Meanwhile, everybody wanting to be tapped as
a running pat We're on full display this weekend, like
Transportation Secretary Mayor Pete Boudhajig, who tried to score some
deep stripes by saying voters should be concerned over President
Trump's age. I mean, come on, he's old, Lisa Cardon report.
Speaker 8 (28:38):
In an interview with Fox New Sunday, Buddhajig argued that
Americans are worried about Trump's mental acuity at age seventy eight,
and how.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
Could anybody not watch the stuff he's saying, the rambling
on the trail and not be just a little bit concerned.
Speaker 8 (28:51):
He said Trump is older and stranger than he was
when he began his political career. Boodhajej is considered to
be a potential running mate for Mala Harris. I'm Lisa Carton.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Older, Yes, stranger, it was the same Don Trump. New
Hampshire Governor Chris Sanunu is dismissing former President Trump's remarks
that people won't have to vote anymore after they re
elect him in November. The Republican governor told ABC this
Week it was just classic trump ism. Soon who said
Trump was just making a hyperbolic point. You'll put the
(29:27):
country back on the right path. Meanwhile, everybody's up in
arms over JD. Van said what he said about single
women and cats, cat lovers everywhere. Now they can't vote
for Trump. Oh wendsay election? Is it almost dear? That's
not soon enough. I Meanwhile, the second man injured during
the attempted assassination of former President Trump earlier this month
has been released from the hospital. James Copenhaber has been discharged.
(29:51):
That was Friday, late in the afternoon, according to The Hill.
The other spectator who was injured was also released earlier
last week. In Venezuela, President Nicholas Maduro and opposition candidate
ed Mondo Gonzalez are both claiming victory after their country's
presidential election. The vote was marred by accusations if foul
play on both sides. It was actually very American when
(30:14):
you come to think of it.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
A new.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Tally and a new winner at the box office, Deadpool
and Wolverine smashing all box office records. The R rated
Marvel Studio film is expected to bring in over two
hundred and five million dollars. Needless to say, that bumped
out Twisters. Yeah, a distant second at thirty million. I
(30:40):
want to see it. I've seen the other thing. It
was good it really was. I'm going to see it.
I'm embarrassed to say, but yes, it was good. It
was better than the first one. Really. Frankly, Ryan Reynolds
is the same character in every movie, but he puts
on that costume and all of a sudden, Oh no,
I didn't see Deadpool. I saw Twisters. Oh you saw Twet? Okay, Yeah, no,
I don't do I don't do comics, okay, but a
(31:00):
lot of people obviously did it. Two hundred and five
million dollars, It becomes the biggest R rated opening of
all time and the eighth biggest opening in Hollywood history.
The US leads the world in Patty. Here's the latest

The US men's basketball team is off to a winning
start in Paris after smashing Nicola Jokich and Serbia one
ten eighty four yesterday, Kevin Durant, returning from injury, sizzled,
scoring twenty three to lead the US Lebron James at

Speaker 11 (31:32):
Scruggs took home gold and silver, and women's fencing Kiev,
beating Scrugs in the women's foil individual final to earn
her second straight Olympic gold medal, saying hard work over
the last three years has led to her success.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
Two years of blood sled and tears and all the
people just uplifting me.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
The silver fir Scrugs came in her Olympic debut.
Speaker 11 (31:55):
Overall, the US leads the medal count right now with
twelve three of them our golds. Action today will include
the US taking on China in women's volleyball action, and
the men's gymnastics team is competing in the team's final.
This has been an NBC News Radio Olympic report. I
don't know what it is about certain sports.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
I only like to watch women like I can't watch
men's tennis anymore, but I can watch women's a little bit. Really,
I don't watch men's soccer, but I love to watch
women's soccer. I always watch women's volleyball, but I never
watch men's volleyball. And I'm always talking about you know
now again, I'm mainly watch the NFL, Major League Baseball
hockey in NBA. But but I cannot tell you how
(32:38):
much I enjoy watching especially women's soccer in Olympics, and
I have a new favorite player. You know, Alex Morgan
for a long time was my favorite. Sophia Smith with
two goals as the US one four to one over
Germany was a highlight from my weekend. She is just
an amazing soccer player. I mean, you've just never seen
anybody take control of the field like her. Check out
(33:00):
the women's soccer team Simone Biles. You know, you guys
all know the storyline on this right, got the twisties
four years ago at the Olympics that sent her home
out of the competition. She fights back, She gets back
to the Olympics and then hurts the calf on the
same leg that she had an earlier injury, and she
had to literally fight through that in the qualifying round
(33:22):
and did that. Was pretty heroic stuff and we had
some pretty good action in the pool over the weekend.
Over All, the US, with twelve medals, including three gold,
six silver, three bronze, leads the world at the Paris
Olympic Games. And in baseball of Cities of the old
morning show Interests, the Rays one two to one over
the Reds Guardians won four to three over the Phillies,
and the Phillies are good Mariners six to three over
(33:43):
the White Sox. Cardinals won four to three over the Nats. Therefore,
the Nats lost sorry DC and the Rangers lost seven
to three to the Blue Jays, and the Dbacks lost
six to five to the Pirates. Birthdays Today Charles Schwab
himself alive and well and still investing, eighty seven years old. Today,
Rush is Getty Lee.
Speaker 12 (34:02):
Today's Tom Sawyer. Here's my favorite was but he's not
too far from here. As a matter of fact, it's
called Lake Side Park. Rush is Getty Lee's seventy one
years old and Martina McBride from here in Nashville.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
A treasure. You know what the reminds. I think I'm
gonna listen to the song anyway today. Okay, very inspirational message.
You'll like that, Martina McBride. For those of you that
are struggling with the Olympics, they're struggling with jd. Vance
in his comment about cats, maybe you should listen to
Martina McBride's song anyway today and never grow weary and
doing good.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
We're all in this together. This is your Morning Show
with Michael nhild Chowna,
