Speaker 2 (00:23):
Two three starting your morning off right, A new way
of talk, a new way of underschemday because we're in
this toget. This is your morning show with Michael Dell
Jon six.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Minutes after the hour. Thanks for waking up with your
morning show. I'm Michael del Journal on the Aaron streaming
live on your iHeartRadio app. Now we can't have your
morning show without your voice. So many ways to get
involved in the conversation. If you're a cat, let mommy
dial the phone or press the little microphone logo on
the iHeart app and that's a talk and you can
(01:00):
meow to us and we'll share it with everyone. We
also have a toll free number one eight hundred and
six eight eight ninety five twenty two or old fashion
email Michael d at iHeartMedia dot com. What a crazy weekend.
So nobody's talking about Joe Biden and how they hit
him in a basement, hit him c now from all
of us covered for him, and then suddenly when we
all noticed, they just got rid of them. They've already
(01:24):
moved on to trying to get rid of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile,
we're supposed to not be focused on that or the
assassination attempt on the president. We're supposed to be focusing
on a horse and drag queens in the position of
a last supper not necessarily has Belah bombing Israel and
(01:47):
a world holy war breaking out in the Middle East.
I mean, don't connect any of these dots, folks. And
this is how they do it. When you control the narrative,
you keep everybody moving, you play on their attep deficit disorder,
you change reality as if the other never happened. And
so you're being gaslighted, and you're being bright lighted. Now,
(02:14):
in the case of JD. Vance, he would probably want
you to know that quote his way out of context,
and in reality, all he's discussing is the attack on
the family, the breakdown of the family. Look, our original
intent is based on the Declaration of Independence and the
(02:35):
roadmap of the Constitution. It is inspired in freedom and
wrapped in liberty. But ultimately it's a republic if you
can keep it, which means government is limited and the
people are in charge. Now, if the people are willing
(02:56):
to give that up in dere election of duty or
for whatever reason, well that's one thing. But what has
happened over time is that we as the people forget
we're in charge, forget who's serving who. We're not here
(03:19):
to serve these politicians. We're here to elect them, hold
them accountable, and fire them if they don't live up
to it. The media is here to reveal what they're
doing so that you can do that job. But the
ultimate threat to our republic is the inability to self govern.
(03:40):
This is all predicated on self governance and a government
of buying for the people. Now, John Quincy Adams would
tell you that this is all together wrong for an
immoral people. So our founding fathers knew this, and this
is how they would want you to know it. Understand
(04:00):
that Christianity is a free will proposition and you have
the right to reject it, and nobody's making it mandatory.
If we felt like it had to be mandatory, we
would have created a theocracy. We didn't, but they did
know what was key to self governance, because that without
strong faith and moral grounding, you won't self govern and
(04:27):
without self governance, you can't have a republic. So faith
isn't mandatory, but it's critical. That's the context in which Jdevance.
Now did he three years ago? You know, throw out
(04:48):
a quip. Now, look, none of this translates to all
my questions this weekend. Should we dump jd Vance and
we make a big mistake with Jadavance? And then what
am I supposed to say? Well, I would have gone
with Telsea Gabbard or Marco Rubio, but I get the
play of JD Vance And no, this doesn't change it
a common three years ago or his text messages that
(05:10):
may have resurfaced through a transgendered friend, that's all built
in to the narrative. He was anti Trump and now
he's not. In an election cycle where people are suffering
in their hatred of Donald Trump and voting for opposition
that is creating high gas prices and wars and rumors
(05:31):
of wars and inflation and taking home ownership out of reach.
You got to swallow your hatred for Donald Trump and
vote for him. Something jd Vance has done. There's a
lot of narrative that's created absolute nonsense. No, I'm not
going to boycott the Olympics. I watched for the athletes.
(05:53):
The athletes had nothing to do with that opening ceremony.
Where As my wife said, nor did the citizens of
parents had boycott the athletes that have sacrificed their entire
life because some idiot put in some questionable symbolism in
an opening. When a boycott something, boycott openings, opening ceremonies,
(06:20):
they're worth boycotting, all right. So two things that are
going to be a fact here. Dray Goudi is a
great prosecutor. He was a great member of Congress. I
mean any congressional hearing. He was always a highlight. As
a host, maybe not so much, but once you get
beyond the bad hosting, he does at least make jd
(06:41):
Vance respond. What has a lot of single women and
a lot of cat owners upset in this narrative attack? Listen,
it's one of our horn sounds of the weekend.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
The other part of that that, again is making news.
But I'm not asking you because there's making news. I'm
asking you more because people are calling me who very
much would like to support you and President Trump. Doctor
Connie Rice does not have children, neither does my friend,
your colleague Tim Scott. George Washington did not have biological children,
and neither did James Madison. So I think you will
(07:12):
agree with me that the direct offspring are not necessary
to be fully invested in the future of this country.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Of course not, Trey.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
I do think that being a prepared parent actually has
a profound effect on somebody's perspective, and we should honor
and respect that.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
But there are a whole host of people who don't
have children for a whole.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
Host of reasons, and they certainly are great people who
can participate fully in the life of this country.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
And that's not what I said, Trey.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
If you look at what the left has done, they
have radically taken this out of context and in fact
aggressively lied about what I've said. What I do think
is true, Trey, and this goes to the heart of
what I was talking about three years ago in those.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Comments, but it's going to be something I continue to talk.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
About is that the Left has increasingly become explicitly anti
child and anti family. They've encouraged young families not to
have children at all because of concerns over climate change.
They've suggested that people who do have children are somehow
being selfish, when I think being a parent is actually
the most selfless thing that you can do, and again,
really does transform your perspective. So this is not a
(08:16):
criticism and was never a criticism tray of everybody without children.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
That is a lie of the left. It is a
criticism of.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
The increasingly anti parent and anti child attitude of the left.
There's one more thing I'm going to say on this trail.
I think a lot of parents and a lot of
non parents look at our public policy of the last
four years and ask how did we get to this place?
How did we get to a place where Kamala Harris
is calling for an end to the child tax credit?
How do we get to a place where we were
masking toddlers years into the pandemic.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
I think it's.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Because we radically underrepresent the perspective of parents in our
public discourse. I'm going to keep on calling that out
because i think it's important for parents to have a voice,
and I'm proud to be on the ticket with President Trump.
I think a real defender of parents and families.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
There's your explanation. Now, I don't know if that one
explanation can keep up with all the narrative. I mean,
this same media that we're setting up posses to chase
down and force Joe Biden out of town by sunset.
(09:21):
They're back to their old tricks again. This is what
they do. They rewrite history and universities in high schools
and junior high schools, elementary schools, and cartoons and documentary documentaries, dramas, sitcoms,
and then the media rewrites reality. Just a week ago,
(09:48):
jad vance, what a great pic? Right, what a great
Oh my gosh, have you seen the hillbilly allergy?
Speaker 6 (09:54):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (09:54):
Grandma, grandma me O, I want to g mom me.
Oh he's just amazing. How did they hide him?
Speaker 1 (10:06):
He's awesome? Now he said, what about cats? We have
an editorial for Morris the Cat. Now, yes, well, yeah,
I understand. Well a lot of single women do have
cats though, right, oh he stops, see he goes away
(10:28):
when you give him the tough question. There you go. No,
I mean it's all taken very much out of context.
As they have now shifted. They're no longer on the
attack of Joe Biden. They're back to their usual attack
on you. You you will live their worldview or you
will be punished. Same for the Supreme Court, same for
(10:51):
Donald Trump. So a week ago he was a jolly
good fellow. Now he's the cat hater. A week ago,
Joe Biden was clueless bring dead. Now he's a transformative president.
Remember the clip we played least half hour with Elizabeth Warren.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Considering term limits and an enforceable ethics code for justices.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Now you've been working on this issue in the Senate.
What realistically do you think you could get through Congress?
Speaker 8 (11:23):
Not what should be, but what do you think you
could actually accomplish.
Speaker 9 (11:29):
Yeah, well, I think we've got all the Democrats who
are ready for meaningful ethics reform to bind the Supreme Court,
and we're working on changes to the Supreme Court. It
can be term limits, it could be adding the number
of justices, things we can do.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
With traditional amendment.
Speaker 9 (11:47):
I think what President Biden is doing is think about
this moment. Here is a man who's been a transformative president.
He's got an enormous amount done.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Transformative President Orsina hidden in the basement and elected after
COVID was weaponized and election laws were changed, hidden from
the American public, cognitively impaired and capable of his job
by the very vice president that is now the jolly goodfellow.
(12:17):
I mean, you should have whiplash from this mainstream media pivot.
And what have I been saying now for going on
eight years? Journalism is dead. That's all you have is narratives.
An unfortunately, news consumption seems to be dead along with it,
and all you have is narrative repeating. Now all of
(12:41):
a sudden, you're to believe there is invincible momentum behind
the canization of Kamala Harris and all the princes that
are racing on white horses to be her vice president.
Means Wow, that despicable Donald Trump, who's old and sounding
(13:03):
crazy and I think he's cognitively impaired. Beat Boodaji. And
that's if I can get you to look away from
the horse. Don't forget that horse at the Paris opening
of the Olympics that was straight out of revelations gang
(13:24):
his bombs are exploding near the Temple mount in Israel.
I mean, come on, when I was a baseball player,
I had a coach. By the time you got in
the game, right, you either have a swing or you don't.
Either a baseball like you or you don't. Hundreds of
hours with a wooden glove. You can either feel the
(13:45):
ground ball or you can't. Didn't matter what the situation
in the game was. If I looked over at third base,
coach Widenbacker would just be clapping his hands. Look you
right in the angle. Seeball hip ball, because at that
point that's how this left. Seaball hit ball. Didn't bring
(14:09):
up my hips, didn't bring up my hands, didn't bring
up shifting of weight, never even said keep your eye
on them all, keep your head in there. Just seaball
hit ball. You either got it or your America. It's
a republic. If you can keep it seaball hit ball,
will you? This is your morning show with Michael Deltno
(14:32):
for just getting up. Israel is retaliating after Hesba Lah
rocket attacks killed twelve children in these rarely occupied Golan heights. Meanwhile,
Donald Trump is committing himself to open door rallies. In fact,
he's headed back to Butler. PA guts the Harris campaigns
as it raised over two hundred million dollars in its
first week in northern California. Wildfire is now the largest
(14:55):
active blaze in the United States. Some own Bile showed
some real guts overcoming adversity and leading the Team USA
to the finals and the Women's Gymnastic Olympic competition. She
was sensational. The US leads the world with twelve medals
in all, three gold, six silver, three bronze. Robert listens
(15:16):
to us in Youngstown. I think it's WKBN. I believe
in Youngstown, Ohio. And he had this on our talkback.
Good morning, Michael.
Speaker 8 (15:25):
I just wanted to know why the White House seems
to think that the Justices need eighteen year term limits,
but Congress and the Senate do not. Always wonder that
I think that would value our country.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
I mentally thank you, you know I have by the
way I have. Obviously that's a rhetorical question. Two things. One,
I've always said that nothing we put it together a
list one time, just kind of like a once and
for all list if you wanted to put the country
the Republic on like an autopilot, zero based prioritize balance budgets.
There you don't have to worry about overspending, agendi spending,
(16:01):
deficit or debt, zero based, prioritize balance budget like you
do at all, no continuing resolutions and do one budget
every two years. So it coincides with Congress. A flatter
fair tax boom, end of story. No demonizing one, no
spirit of envy, no fighting over who's getting a free ride,
(16:22):
who has a flatfair tax over autopilot done and then
third of I list his term limits. That would take
care of everything, which is why it never comes up.
We think the Supreme courts in for life. Unfortunately, sore
(16:43):
members of Congress, or did you forget Robert Byrd he
holds the record fifty one years in one hundred and
seventy six days, Daniel Lnoy forty nine years, Patrick Leahy
forty eight years, Strom Therm, and Ted Kennedy forty six years. Oh,
by the way, those are at your top five all time.
(17:05):
And they're all Democrats. Now suddenly democrats are appalled. How
long members of the the Supreme Court and the Constitution
disagrees with that? Hi I'm Michael del Jorno, and your
morning show can be heard live as it's happening five
to eight am Central and six to nine Eastern on
great stations like six point twenty WJDX and Jackson, Mississippi,
(17:26):
or AKRONS, News Talk six forty WHLO and Akron, Ohio
and News Radio five seventy WDAK and Columbus, Georgia. Love
to be a part of your morning routine. But we're
glad you're here now. Enjoy the podcast. This is your
morning show, and I am Michael del jorna if you're
just waking up. Israel is retaliating after the Hespalah rockets
(17:47):
attacked in the Golan Heights, killing twelve children. Trump commits
outdoor rallies and says he's headed back to Butler, PA. Meanwhile,
what do we find out from the Sheriff's department in Butler, PA.
We never had our face to face briefing with Secret Service,
and that's when we knew something was up. Remember we
said from the beginning, poor planning, poor execution and communication
(18:11):
or worse. Every day this looks more like or worse.
No wonder, everybody wants you focused on the Olympic ceremony or.
Speaker 6 (18:24):
The comment to JD fans made about Cats three years ago,
a massive mainstream media narrative pivot in progress.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
All hail Queen Kamala and pay no attention to what
happened in Butler. We also have the Olympic count. The
US is at twelve total medals. We lead the world
as we speak, three gold, six silver, three bronze. I
believe the host country of France is second with eight
and everywhere else here we've been following the I don't
(19:00):
know that Donald Trump crypto marriage. Now we have Trump
proposing a strategic national crypto stockpile. What is that?
Speaker 10 (19:12):
What?
Speaker 7 (19:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (19:13):
Listen, So Trump speaking at this big crypto conference in
Nashville on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Did you see him? Were you there?
Speaker 6 (19:20):
Uh?
Speaker 11 (19:21):
No, true hometown, but no, I was watching the Olympics.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Oh wonderful.
Speaker 11 (19:30):
Anyway, he basically said at this big conference of the year,
the biggest one, that he's going to ensure that the
federal government never sells its bitcoin holdings.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Now, I want to be.
Speaker 11 (19:39):
Clear, he stopped short of proposing formal federal Reserve of
Digital currency, which is way different than what like RFK
Junior said. So he basically promised to launch RFK a
reserve of four million bitcoin. He's going to start with
what the government has seized from criminal activities that's already stockpiled.
He's going to mandate the government by five one hundred
(20:00):
and fifty coins a day until the reserve reasers four million.
This was a very comprehensive plan, but.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Explain what the strategy is behind that and the motive
behind that.
Speaker 11 (20:08):
So basically it's a right now it's another form of investment,
one of one that could become the most powerful theoretically
in the world. So he thinks it's important to mandate
that the government be like, have a bitcoin in its reserves.
Actually there's another after Trump' speech. Senator Cynthia lumis a
Republican from Wyoming. She's proposing to a mass an official
(20:29):
US federal reserve of a million bitcoin over five years.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
So the idea of being that.
Speaker 11 (20:35):
Trump also said that he doesn't want this central bank
digital currency that's basically a fiat currency controlled by a
central bank, like issued by a central bank and tied
to that country's like currency, whether it be the yen
or the dear or the rem and be whatever. And
that's different than crypto because crypto is decentralized by its
(20:57):
very nature, and the blockchain is what keeps the ledger
of it. So it was less comprehensive what he said.
I actually think if you listened to the quote from
me and it was hysterical.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
And not like.
Speaker 11 (21:09):
You basically said, all right, thanks, you all have fun
playing with your crypto.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Oh you're kidding.
Speaker 10 (21:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (21:17):
It sounds almost like a dad who like bought a
new toy for their kid and was like, enjoy, enjoy
your crypto.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
It was very funny, but so on the deep end.
On the deep end, you would say, Okay, this is
like John F. Kennedy and space. You had ground wars,
you had naval wars, then you had air wars. Next
will be space. You gotta get there because someday that'd
be like surrendering ground water or air. You just have
(21:46):
to for national security, and you have to for the
good of the world. It has to be controlled by
those with goodwill versus evil intentions. In this case, it's
just in case bitcoin ever happens, we better have a
stock buyle of it.
Speaker 11 (21:59):
I'm going to say this for the record, I think
you make some of the best analogies of anyone I've ever.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
You want to stop and compliment me, We've got plenty
of time.
Speaker 11 (22:10):
Yeah, we get a hold a hold of the book. No,
but really that that is a great analogy and very
very true. Like I didn't think of it like that
until he said it. It's like, yes, yes, that's exactly.
It's it's kind of that you can't do.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Why are you doing that, crush? I'm not crushing crushing
on me. I have no filings for HR. She's just
simply saying, you're a very wise person. I talked to
a lot of talk radio hosts. You're clearly the best
that's ever lived. I think that I don't want to
put words in your mouth. I think that's what you
were saying.
Speaker 11 (22:41):
And not only was I saying that, it's sexist to
assume it was something else.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Exactly, you're going to HR Well, by the way, he
thinks he's a hot shot because he did ten burpies,
I burke twice. Anyway, I digress. No, but that's the analogy.
So where is the left on this? Where there is
camp Paris?
Speaker 11 (23:02):
Yes, okay, so here's the thing. He promptly he's gonna
fire Gary Gensler he's the chairman of the SEC. This
is an easy one. It's a throwaway. He was referencing
Gensler because he's bid and appointed and he's been very
aggressive on the crypto regulation. But many many people, particularly
this this pro crypto group of fintech folks who by
(23:25):
the way, have their own super packets called fair Shake.
They have over two hundred million dollars and they're contributing
to pro crypto candidates he does. They say they don't
want this to be a partisan issue, like this is annoying.
They want they want regulation that's you know, from the
industry and also helps regulate the industry and bring it
out of this market area. And they don't want it
to be a political football. But what Trump's pledge does
(23:48):
is like simply maintain that the US government's current bigcoin
holdings are going to stay there. And it's way less
radical a pitch. But he doesn't want this, you know,
the former president drawing this contrast between the Republican partner
Party and their embracive crypt versus the hardline regulatory approach
of the biding one. So people in the industry who
understand it and like it, they fundamentally think that it
shouldn't be artisan.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Where I turned into brit Hume and be the wise
old guy in the room wearing slacks and suspenders. I
like to have double coverage. It just seems to me
that if one side starts with the other, one avoids it,
that's how it looks bipartisan even when it's hot. Probably right.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
I'm going to be on the air when I'm that old,
and what will I sound like?
Speaker 11 (24:32):
You'll sound More'll probably be Yeah, yeah, I'm young.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
Un till I die, I die. Nobody gets out of
this a lot, No, But I mean I think that's
the reason why. But yeah, that's the strategy behind it,
all right, So he continues to be the crypto friendly candidate,
that's for sure, yes, for now.
Speaker 11 (24:49):
But here's the thing. Actually, uh Mark Cuban posted on
X over the weekend that Kamala Harris reached out to
his camp and that they want to have a lot
of questions and a discussion about cryptos and they're kind
of warming up to space as well. And actually Harris
was in discussions with organizers of this particular conference to
potentially show up. She didn't. But again, all of them
(25:10):
like this fintech, this fintech Shedda. They want to they
want to get a piece of it, and that's what
they're doing.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
So the bottom line is Kamala Harris is not necessarily
anti crypto. She's just like me, an ignorant of it.
Speaker 11 (25:20):
Right potentially, Yes, and again.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
I mean to upstate you with the top five stories
of the day to day. But yeah, yeah, I think
I think she just needs to get up to speed
like the rest of us. And that's what you help
us too. Great reporting today, Aaron Real, have a great day.
We'll talk again tomorrow morning. All right, if you're just
waking up, Hi, and thank you for the compliments. At
least somebody appreciates me around here. Show a little respect,
will you much? You're nothing without me. You're exactly right, No,
(25:50):
I'm joking. Uh. Former President Trump says he will continue.
We talked about this in the five o'clock hour. I
told the story of how I had banquet chicken at
LSU my freshman year before getting a two week virus.
It was like a death near death experience. Well those
TV dinners. It did not come from the TV dinner.
It was a virus. But because the TV dinner was
(26:12):
the last thing I ate. I have a neuro association
and it's been cassing forty two years since then, and
I still have never eaten chicken TV dinners. That's how
powerful neuro associations are. So it takes a lot of
courage to a go back outdoors, let alone go back
to Butler, PA. And that's exactly what Donald Trump is
(26:32):
planning to do. Mark Mayfield reports in.
Speaker 10 (26:34):
A post on truth Social Sunday, Trump send the Secret
Service has agreed to substantially heightened protection at those events.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
He did not provide any.
Speaker 10 (26:41):
Details on what additional steps might be taken. Trump said
on Friday he plans to head back to Butler, Pennsylvania,
where the assassination attempt took place, to hold another campaign
rally by Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Meanwhile, former Vice President Al Gore has come out to
endorse Kamala Harris, and you can only imagine what the
reaction was around the political world, as no one seemed
to care what rock did he crawl out from under?
I don't know he came out. I just picture a
(27:13):
very like a home that you know is all dated,
hasn't been vacuumed. He comes out of the creaky front
door with the paint chipping under the two get off
my lawn. The second man injured during the attempted assassination
against the former president Donald Trump earlier this month has
been released from the hospital. James Copenhaber was discharged late
(27:35):
on Friday, according to the Hill. The other spectator who
was injured was released earlier last week. The Venezuelan president
says I won was how many percent of the vote?
Everyone else is saying you did when you cheated? It's
just like America, to which they responded, well, at least
we didn't try to kill the other, to which everybody said,
did you see the opening ceremonies of the empal Deadpool
(27:59):
and Wolverine? What kind of a movie is that? That's
like a like a comic Marvel epic adventure right in
Marvel Universia. Yeah, I just wanted to know what kind
of movies I hate. Deadpool Wolverine smashed the box office
records with over two hundred and five million dollars over
the weekend. Highest rated R film of all time, said
butchcasting a Sundance Kid. I'm appalled us leaves the world
(28:23):
after three days of competition with twelve medals in all
three gold, six silver, three bronze. In baseball, raised Guardians, Mariners, Cardinals,
all one, Nats, Rangers and d Backs. Lost birthdays today
Charles Schwab eighty seven years old, by Low Salhai, Russia's
(28:44):
Geddy Lee seventy one years old, and Martina McBride and
treasure of country music and beautiful at fifty eight.
Speaker 9 (28:53):
This is Shannon Gregory and my morning show is your
morning show with mack old or Jono.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
The VEEP candidates trying to parade and impress Kamala Harris.
And you know how those meetings are going, mister Shapiro
probably saying man and vice president, I promise you, just
because I'm Jewish, I can bring some Never mind that,
what do you think about cats?
Speaker 6 (29:17):
Cats?
Speaker 1 (29:18):
I'm a dog person. Wow, some old biles? What courage?
Speaker 7 (29:24):
Courage?
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Did you see the horse in that opening ceremony? Have
you read revelations? I mean, everybody's just freaking out. I
can't tell you how many emails I got over. Should
we drop jad E Vance now because he said something
three years ago about cat? I mean, wow, nobody keeping
their eye on the ball, but Rory always does. Yeah,
I'm not worried about what some organizers in Paris did
(29:46):
in an opening ceremony. And I'm certainly not going to
disrespect the lifelong sacrifice of athletes and boycott this over
something they had nothing to do with. But you know,
I am keeping my eye on war, and we've talked
about the war with Hamas, and then we talked about Hesbelacas.
It all goes back really to an ancient war and Rory.
These are some dangerous and unsettling developments in the Middle East.
(30:09):
Get everybody up to speed.
Speaker 12 (30:10):
Yeah, so if folks were tuned into the Olympics and
not paying attention, you know, in the recent oh two
or three weeks, we've seen this increased flurry of rockets
being fired back and forth from Israel and from Lebanon
by Hesbelah in Lebanon, so this is to the north,
the northern side of Israel.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
We've seen a bit of a back and forth.
Speaker 12 (30:29):
But on Saturday, there was a rocket attack that came
out of Lebanon, we believe, fired by Hesbelah into the
Golden Heights, where twelve children were killed, forty other people
were injured. Horrific stuff there. So now the concern is
how much and how intently does Israel respond. We know
there's been a couple of drone attacks we think that
(30:50):
Israel carried out in the past twelve hours or so.
I think two fatalities, three wounded, but there may be more.
Officials in Lebanon said they've been given some assurances that
Israel is going to respond.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Appropriately, that it won't.
Speaker 12 (31:08):
Be an effort to have some sort of a larger,
broader conflict, which is reassuring right now.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Yeah, you want to you want to have a proportional,
immediate response, less to invite more attacks by the same token,
We're all chilled by the reminder of history that very
few wars and where they begin and with the same
players involved. So nobody wants to see this spread into
Lebanon and then ultimately where we think the agitation is
(31:34):
really originating into Iran or into a world war with
Israel at the epicenter. So this is tricky play, uh,
and obviously very concerning. All right, So we don't have
any details on what the retaliation is. Do we have
details on the timing? Oh gosh, no.
Speaker 12 (31:51):
We do know that they did authorize net Prime Minister
net Yahoo and his Defense minister to do whatever is necessary.
So they've been given the blank check essentially, but we
believe that there is going to be a proportionate response
here with Israel not wanting to get into Essentially, I
have a two front war with Hesblat in the north
(32:12):
and Hamas in the south. So it looks like we're
not going to be spiraling out of control, but booh,
we could be. Things could go either way.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
I know we're gonna do this more in the next segment,
but we are at ninety nine days from election year,
and I have resisted the urge to do get smart
saying ninety nine or singing Toto ninety nine, because I
know how you hate my singing. But ninety nine days.
You know that number alone needs to be discussed for
a minute or two. Think about the last seven days.
We went from Joe Biden is cognitively impaired, belongs in
(32:44):
memory care nursing home, and somebody hid this from us,
including the Vice president, including the media heads should roll.
We had a near assassination attempt that we need to
get to the answers of bizarrely incompetent preparation, execution, and
communication or wars to should we drop jd Vance. He
(33:05):
doesn't like cats and single women and Donald Trump's too old,
isn't it. I mean, ninety nine days is an eternity
in this crazy political year.
Speaker 12 (33:14):
Well right, and keep in mind that doesn't take it
into account the early voting, so we're really closer to
like forty five days.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Yeah, but I mean, the one things are the momentum
and the shifts and the craziness of it all. And then,
of course, I know next hour you're going to talk
more about how the beeps are all falling over themselves,
including me repeat, which, by the way, I you know,
I was the only one that kept saying, what about
me rep what about ma Repete? He's obviously put his
hand into the wringer, But we'll talk about who we
(33:41):
think the top going out. John January, he's got to
find something, got to find something that he's got to
find it. He's out of City's, he's out of transportation,
Roy good Reporting, he's got kids to ensure. We'll talk
more next hour. But yeah, that's kind of like the
big things, you know, And we discussed this earlier, so
I'll make a comment, now, did organizers do some weird
(34:03):
things in an opening ceremony, not that we've all put
our finger exactly on. How weird? I mean, you really
can't even put your finger on it. Is it as
rebellious as gay drag queens repositioning themselves to mock the
Final Supper? Or did it have something to do with
a Roman cult? I don't know. Whatever is, it's weird.
And then the notion is, of course you've got to
(34:24):
boycott that. No, I don't. The citizens of Paris, the
athletes themselves, have nothing to do. I mean, it is
always tragic when wokeness has to infiltrate and ruin something,
so obviously the organizers hijack the games for woke play.
(34:46):
But in honor of the athletes, in their lifelong sacrifice,
I'm not going to boycott them. Why should they pay
for another's poor judgment At the very least, just another
reminder we live in a fallen world, but we're in it,
not up that would you expect. We're all in this together.
