Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's me Michael.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Your morning show can be heard live five to eight
AM Central, six to nine Eastern and great cities like Jackson, Mississippi, Akron, Ohio,
or Columbus, Georgia. We'd love to be a part of
your morning routine and we're grateful you're here now. Enjoy
the podcast well two three.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Starting your morning off right, A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding because we're in the stupid
This is your morning show with Michael delle Trump.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Can you prod you play that too?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
He is, By the way, that's funny stuff past six
minutes after the hour. Whether you're enjoying us with a
little static.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
On AM or static free on FM, or on your
iHeartRadio app, We're grateful you're joining us this morning. This
is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jorno. On Friday,
August the ninth, ABC confirms former President Trump and Vice
President Kamala Harris have agreed to a September tenth debate
on ABC. Will two others or at least one other
follow All indications are they will President Biden, joining other

(01:04):
leaders and calling for a ceasefire and hostage release deal
in Igaza. I'm not sure I really believe President Biden's
doing any of that. He gathered at the White House
with the Texas Rangers and then had an awkward moment
and got lost and didn't know how to leave.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
It was pretty uncomfortable to watch.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
And the United States men's basketball team is scare with Serbia,
but they're headed for gold against France this weekend. Sidney
McLoughlin Levron, I mean, no one else was virtually in
the screen. How do you pull away that much in
a four hundred meter hurdle. It was one of the
most amazing Olympic performances I've ever seen. Overall, Team USA

(01:40):
leads the world with now one hundred and three total medals,
number one in every category, thirty gold, thirty eight silver,
and thirty five bronze. Sometimes it's fun, you know, when
you're talking about really serious and we've had some really substantive,
meaningful conversations about things that are really important, and that
always happens in talk radio, and then in the missa
that something fun just kind of pops up. And so

(02:05):
I don't know why I had in my head that
Sam Elliott was one of the original Marlborough men. I
thought he the bill. Well, he would look me. He'd
have been a great one. Absolutely, Tom Selleck would have
been a great one. Apparently he wasn't. I thought he was.
Now Sam Elliott was in Thank You for Smoking the movie,
but he was never a mark. And then then the
listener starts sending me and I start going over the

(02:26):
five into the rabbit hole of the five original Marlborough men,
and of course they all died of lung cancer copd.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Wow. But then I get this, not to be outdone,
Kathy goes.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Is it a weird coincidence that Sam Elliott and Smoky
the Bear both stirted he.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
It's like, what did you get a voice? He was
the voice of Smoking the Bear?

Speaker 6 (02:46):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Did I? Did I not hear that correctly during that
new story? If not, it sounds just like him.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Now you got another. Well, rabbit hole, we gotta go down. Everyone,
We must stay focused. It's Friday, August the ninth.

Speaker 7 (03:02):
You know what that means, Friday Live.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
He's the one we all have too. He has the
power because he takes a shower. Good morning, mister President.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Well we're having a tremendous morning. Pizza boy, I have
to say that, and we're doing very well. See pizza
boy you're doing you're the pizza boy. You're the greatest
pizza boy in the world has ever seen. It's not
delivery in stell Jorno, and it's your morning show. I
have to say that. And you're doing a tremendous job.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
I didn't I think I know why Snoop didn't want
to be vice president. He's getting five hundred thousand a
day at the Olympics for two weeks.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
It's unbelievable, you see, and he carries the torch like
nobody's ever carried it. And he would have done so
well for us, and we were looking at it and
we really wanted to do it. And we love JD.
There's a lot of people who say we don't love JD.
We love JD and what he did on the tarmac
yesterday was incredible. But Snoop Dogg does a very good job.

(04:01):
I have to say that. And he would have gone too,
the tremendous job as vice president too. But he's having
fun in Paris, which is not an easy thing to
do these days. But we love Snoop. We think he's
a great guy, and he's doing a tremendous job. Now
the Olympics are something that you should be ashamed of,
not you, but of a pipile because you have female

(04:23):
boxing and you have two x y competitors who are
fighting each other, which is not female. Letters to my check,
but I'm following the science. But look at this, and
you can look at Snoop and you could look at
these people. Snoop Dogg's doing a tremendous job. But the
Olympics have been an unmitigated disaster, and unfortunately he's wrapped

(04:43):
up and all that, which is a shade. But he's
still doing a tremendous job.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
All right, let's turn to what you just mentioned. The
narrative from the mainstream media is that you're unhappy with
the way things are going, and you might even be
unhappy with JD Vance and the Sugar High, the momentum
of Mama La Kamala and her new VP choice that
you feel like all the momentium has shifted and you're

(05:07):
now losing. I wasn't born yesterday, But is anybody buying
this ridiculous narrative?

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Well, no, I think we're doing incredibly well. I have
to look at that. I have to say that I
think we're doing incredibly well. I think nobody's doing as
well as us. And you look at the fake poles.
These the fake poles and their fake as hell. They're
is fake as Kamala Harris. She's a fake person. She
won't talk to the press. She will not even do
a softball interview with George Slappadopolis or snuffle up against

(05:38):
whatever the hell you want to call them. She won't
do anything easy. Even if you ask her what's your
favorite color, she should to come back with some sort
of crazy answer about color and all of these horrible
things and great things and tremendous things about color. She
thinks cloud storage. You look at that, if this cloud
storage happens above us, she says, it exists above us.

(06:00):
They can't put her in front of cameras the kid,
because she's going to say something very very stupid, because
she's a stupid person. We're not unhappy, we're very happy.
We're doing very well, and we're going to win. We're
going to win like nobody's ever seen before. And they
think they're doing well. Every time they get a lot
of people for a rally, it's because there's a free concert.

(06:21):
You add Megan Nastallion having a medical episode on stage
in Atlanta. That's what it looks like. People call it torque,
they say it's tworking. I said, I've never heard of
that before. That looked like a seizure to me, and
I was hoping she would find help immediately because it
looked like she was having an episode.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Good your dad's studio fifty four, Your days in studio
fifty four.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
You've seen those moves before, you know.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
I get the feeling somewhere less her Holt is sitting
in a nice, crisp vest all alone, and there's no Kamala.
Now we all know that the plan four years ago
was hired the old man in the basement, but they
had COVID in order to do it. They couldn't do
that this time. It exposed his senility, which created Kamala.
And now seventeen days and still no news to how

(07:07):
long can they hide her in plain sight?

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Well, they're going to try to do it as long
as they can. They're going to try to do it
because they can't put her. You see what happened without
a script. She was on the tarmac after the houstage,
just came home. And by the way, I would have
made a much better deal. But we're very happy to
have these people home. And I only make great deals,
the greatest deals. Believe it or not, we make the greatest.
Nobody makes deals like we do. We make such great deals.

(07:31):
The deals that we make are second to none, the
gold standard of deals when you look at it. I
even wrote a book. It's called The Art of the Deal.
I'm a real artist, not like Hunter Biden. He's a
fake artist. But you look at Kamala on the tarmac.
She talked about diplomacy and strength of diplomacy and cook
and Joe Biden knows healy be diplomatic and all of

(07:53):
these different things, and she wound up saying nothing. In
a twenty second clip, she said diplomacy fourteen times. I
can't believe it. But you see what happens seventeen days,
eighteen days, nineteen days. This is almost three weeks no
press conferences. You know, I held a press conference yesterday
at mar A Lago. I've been more press conferences in

(08:13):
the last twenty four hours than she's done in the
last eighteen days. I can't believe it. Nobody could believe it.
But you have people saying she's too busy. What is
she doing. She's campaigning. I'm campaigning too, I'm all the
press conferences, are doing interviews. She's doing none of that
because she can't do it, because she's a stupid person.
She's a vicious person, but she's also a very stupid person.

(08:36):
A cackling hyena, that's what she is. And they don't
want anybody to see that.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Friday with forty five Nancy Pelosi actually an interview you
know now that Joe is gone and out of the way.
Now she's saying he is one of the most consequential presidents,
belongs on Mount Rushmore. But he finally surfaced with an
interview out of nowhere, now completely irrelevant, and accused that
you will not leave.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
If you lose the election.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
He's stuck out old story lights, I mean, and he
sounded an awful lot like Robert Denier.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Is there any chance Robert Dannier was under that mask.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Well, it's very possible. You look at these people saying
I'm not going to leave if I lose all these
terrible things. First of all, we're not going to lose.
And if we have a fair election movement, I let
it slide that much, I tell you. But you have this.
You have these crazy people. They're saying these crazy things.
They're stuck on the old timeline. They said, I'm going
to be a dictator. I was your president for four years.

(09:35):
It was the greatest four years. No dictator. You have
these people who are there now actually dictating you have
to wear a mask, you have to wear all of
these things, you can't have, you can't go into these places.
If you didn't get the crazy vaccine, you can't do
all of that. And they did that, and they're saying
that they're dictating everything. Gas stows, not allowed to have
a gas sto, gas car, not allowed to have that,

(09:58):
all sorts of horrible things. Now they think I'm going
to be a dictator. They're saying, I'm not going to
leave if I lose what we're not going to do.
So these people are crazy. These are crazy people. This
is sick people. You have Tim Waltz who are stolen
more valids than are valid than Sam Brinton has stolen luggage,
remember Sam Princeton. They called Jady vans grid. This is

(10:19):
a guy. He couldn't stop taking other people's suitcases in
the airport. They called jd Evan's weird. You look at
this guy. He was the nuclear guru. It looked like
he was exposed to nuclear waste, looked like he was radioactive.
He looked like Sid from Toystory. You know what I'm
talking about. You have him. They called jd Evan's weird.
Tim Waltz apparently might have done something with the horse.

(10:41):
I don't know about it, but they called jed Evan's weird.
We don't need to talk about it. These are terrible people,
and the media is the enemy of the people. You're
the good media, you're the real news. There's a lot
of fakers and a lot of phonies out there, and
these are bad people. These are bad, bad people, and
they're trying to destroy your country. Like Chris Christie destroys

(11:02):
the public restroom at the White Capital. You know what
I'm looking at it talking about a total meltdown. We
don't want to do that. We don't want to do that,
and we're not gonna let it happen.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
That's got to be a tivy to walk it into
a White Castle restroom and Chris is in there.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
I call it pizza boy. They call them belly bombs
for a prey reasons. Okay, they call it. They call
them belly bombs. They're like the mother of all bombs.
They go out and that's the end of that. You
got to get ahold new system. So we don't want
to see that, and we're not going to let it happen.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
Closing Bumit's are Friday with forty five? All right, debate
on or off. First of all, we don't do debate
commission debates anymore. Everything's gone. We've got Kamala Harris who
never ran in the primary, and I got it, never
got a single primary vote. In the middle of the night,
she's crowned the nominee. She picks our governor from Minnesota.

(11:53):
Now we're worried about, well debates happen. Nothing is like
it used to be. So if you debate, Kamala, where
will it be and what would be acceptable for both
sides because the American people deserve to hear you too debate.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Well, we're going to debate somewhere. That much I can
tell you. She doesn't want to do it. She doesn't
want to do it. She went to the old debate
that I agreed to with Crooked Joe, but she doesn't
want to do it. She doesn't want to debate because
I'm such a skilled person. I can tell you that.
And I am also you understand this BOLTI lingual. I
speak a lot of Spanish. Kamala harris as una hyena caente,

(12:29):
which means she's a cackling guyena, That's what it means.
And she's afraid. She's afraid. She does not want to
be on the stage cackling up the storm. We're going
to debate. We don't know who it's going to do with.
I would love it to be Fox News. She doesn't
want to do that. If we have to do APC
and it's George Floppadopolis, he's a sloppy guy. We'll deal

(12:51):
with it. You know, We're going to deal with all
of it because we have to be on a debate
stage with this woman. She's a terrible person, and America
has never liked this person. Now all of a sudden,
they like her. The more they see her, the less
they're going to like her, sort of look like the sanctimonious.
The more he was in front of cameras, the less
people liked him. But now we love him again. He's
a great guy. Even though he's my little dumpling. He

(13:12):
wanted to be vice president, wasn't tall enough. But you
have Kamala. Nobody likes her. It's hard to like her,
it's impossible to like her. Amahof doesn't even like her.
But what would leave her from a nanny too? It
would happen.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
Believe me, you know, I was looking at that this week,
and I'm thoroughly convinced that whole marriage was so rushed
right before her, you know, launch to run a presidential campaign.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I'm wondering how staged that is. But anyway, I digress.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
Probably is sick. It probably is sick. And she's a
person who got her career started in ways that I
would say are questionable. That's all I could say.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
Yeah, yeah, we don't. We don't want to get into that,
all right. So for those that are listening, you think
this is a sugar high. You want them to know
that their president isn't afraid at all, and he's as
confident is ever right.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
We're very confident. Nobody's ever going as confident as us.
You have a sugar high. You have the higher than
Hunter Biden. Believe it or not. They think she's a
great person. Everybody is clamoring for Kamala. They say, we
need Kamala. Got to get Sleepy Joe out. They got
Sleepy Crooked Joe out. Now they think Kamala is going
to be better. You know my great friend, I have

(14:22):
a great friend. He's one of the wonderful people. He
was in my cabinet at first. I Woody Johnson, the
owner of the New York Jets. You know these fans,
these are great people, but they suffer a lot. And
they see a quarterback who's not very good and they
want them out of the game, even though they know
the backup isn't much better. They want the quarterback out.

(14:44):
They get the quarterback out, they put the backup in,
and they think the backup is going to be the
same year, but they really know the backup is awful too,
because there's no such thing as a good New York
Jets quarterback. And it all goes to hell. That's what's
going to happen with And the people know that they
want her to be something that she's not. She's a

(15:04):
cackling hyena. She's a terrible person. Kim Waltz is a
stolen vala guy. He looks like an overgrown cream puff.
You look at him. He looks like a pastry. He's white,
he's very wide, and he's an overgrown cream puff guy.
And they all know that he's a terrible person too.
This is a Marxist communist ticket and we're going to
defeat it in November. That much, I can tell you,

(15:26):
because America is not going to vote for communism. They're
just not going to do that.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
I didn't think you could top the kaka at the Vatican,
but could you.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Do the cackling kamala in Spanish one more time for me?

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Kamala Harris. Let me just tell you, sanus I invented
the language. Kamala Harris, s una hyena, cacaente. This is
what it means. Kamala Harris is a cackling hyena. And
that's our truth.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
That's our Fridays with forty five at Sheriffson.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Thank you, mister President, thank you, and keV Lesson. I
needed that.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Twenty two minutes after the hour when we come back,
not one, not two, not three, but your top five
stories of the day, and then Aaron Reale next half
hour on Donald Trump holds one big advantage. It's the
economy stupid. When your morning show continues next.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
This is your morning show with Michael del Trono.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
I hope you're having as much fun as we are,
because boy, time is flying thirty six minutes after the hour,
twenty four minutes to be to work by time. Welcome
to Friday August. What's your guy the one from Cleveland
that you always play in my area?

Speaker 6 (16:35):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (16:35):
Yeah, it was Murray Saw and he used to be
on WMMS and Cleveland and he would always come on
and say.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
Yes fr Friday, Friday August and night twenty twenty four.
And everybody's in good spirits. It looks like jd Vance
smoked Kamala out of her shell. She actually talked to
reporters when she got off the plane yesterday. When asked
the question will you ever sit down for an interview,
she said, I'm working with my people. Maybe by the

(17:02):
end of the month. As our White House corresponded, John
Decker said, that's just strange to have to wait that
long to have a interview with a presumptive nominee. Meanwhile,
Donald Trump had a very successful news conference at Merlago.
The President of the United States who is still President

(17:22):
of the United States, Joe Biden, at a very confusing
time at the White House with the Texas Rangers, and
Aaron Rayal's here to remind us all that no matter
what kind of sugar highs you may be on or
narrative waves that the media is creating, at the end
of the day, what's on voter's mind is the economy stupid,
and that's leaning in one particular way.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Aaron Rayel's here with that story. Good morning, Aaron, how
are you?

Speaker 4 (17:46):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (17:47):
I'm hanging like a My dad used to always say,
hanging like a boogerun a nosehare.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
But I don't know why. Actually I love that. I
love that. I don't know why that came to mind.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
No, but I mean for all of the different narrative
waves that are created, at the end of the day,
they do have probably an RFK problem in some of
these swing states. You can play a spoiling role more
so than actually take delegates. Although he doesn't need married
very many delegates to force this to Congress because no
one will get to two seventy. They clearly have an
Israel problem. In fact, there's a story buried today. No

(18:20):
one's talking about a record number of Jewish people registering
to vote in the polling suggesting they're leaning heavily towards Trump.
The Democrats have an Israel problem. They're trying to use
weird the way they use deplorable. That looks revisited, But
at the end of the day, it's what we the
people are focused on, and we're focused on a failed
economy and a border crisis and a housing crisis. And

(18:42):
in that particular area, Donald Trump has a huge lead.

Speaker 9 (18:47):
Indeed, listen, when it comes to the economy, Trump leaves
Harris two to one. This is according to CNBC's must
recent poll their neck and neck. Overall, it's forty eight
to Trump, forty six to Harris. According to this pole
take a full tomorrow in the afternoon, might be, you know,
the other way around. They're very very close. But what
I think is most pressing is about the economy, because

(19:08):
neither has made like meaningful inroads among these swing groups,
like you said, that are ultimately going to win the
presidency for the president whoever ends up being.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
But if you look at.

Speaker 9 (19:18):
Republicans, seventy nine percent of them believe their economic fortune
is going to be better under Trump. Forty eight percent
of Democrats believe the same.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
For Harris.

Speaker 9 (19:27):
Yeah, that's compared with forty two percent who say it
makes no difference. And again, these independents, thirty one percent
think they'll be better under Trump ten under Harris, fifty
four more than half think it doesn't matter. And I
think if you look, like, why why would you say that. Yes,
we've lived through inflation, we know what that feels like.
But the idea is Biden has pumped more oil than

(19:48):
any other president that's ever been.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
He doesn't talk about a lot, but that's the truth.

Speaker 9 (19:52):
And Trump spent a tremendous amount of money, just like
the Democrats usually do. So the idea that like, you know,
the spend less pumpoy like none of the old rules
fit for either party, which is why I think you
have so many independents being like it doesn't matter, and
until they come out and explicitly say what they're going
to do on the economy, it's going to remain that way.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
I think, uh, you know, based on the decision to
go with Walls in Minnesota, based on where she has
struggled in the past to discuss inflation and what she
would do, I think I'm going to give the advantage
to Donald Trump, both in reality and perception on that topic.
What's interesting is what matters most. And I have to

(20:35):
remind everybody our obsession on the presidency from time to time,
have to remind you there's nothing more important than those
who make the laws, the People's House and the United
States Senate. And the polling is suggesting West Virginia is
a cake walk for the Republicans and Tester is in
serious trouble in Montana. And when you look at Trump's

(20:56):
polling numbers versus Harris and the two point lead now
over Tester, it looks as though Republicans are going to
gain control of the Senate and maintain control of the House.
But we start getting into these independent voters like you're
talking about, and we're talking about not the nationwide numbers.
They don't matter, swing precincts of swing districts of swing states.

(21:18):
And that's where the RFK element will rear its head.
That's where the Israel problem will rear its head. And
that's where the economy and the perception of who handled
the economy better is going to rear its head. And
I don't know if this happens to you, and I
think it's because we're on the radio. If you get
with anybody, it doesn't take long before the conversation turns
to you like you've got some kind of crystal ball.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Is Trump gonna win? Or is Harris gonna win?

Speaker 5 (21:42):
Or whatever the persuasion they're coming from, And the answer
is it's going to be a very close race. But
when you get beyond the narrative, Sugar highs, I still
think it's leaning Donald Trump's way.

Speaker 9 (21:55):
I think you're right, I do, I do. Listen, it's
now a fight with so it's a fight. It'll be
an interesting match. Where before you were like, what this
is silly?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Why are we even going to go through this exercise?
But depends and.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Here are the unknowns, right, how is she going to perform?
All indications are that interview is going to come at
the end of the month. I mean, they're going to
keep hiding her to milk all the money they can
and fundraising, and that's just smart. I give them credit
for that, because they know sooner or later she's gonna
have to interview. Her first will probably be sixty minutes
and probably be softballs, and she might be fine. The
debates could be disastrous. They were disastrous for Biden. Some

(22:35):
of her interviews could get disastrous. We still have will
the convention, and this is the Israel problem You're rearing
its ugly head. You've got tens of thousands of angry
pro Palestinian protesters headed to Chicago to create nineteen sixty
eight and twenty twenty four that's yet to play, and
then the RFK independent play in some of these swing states.

(22:56):
There's a lot to play out. There's a lot of
unknowns and things that have to happen. Nobody should be
looking any be in the eye definitively and saying who's
going to win this?

Speaker 9 (23:04):
Because I agree, Yes, that's another thing, like there is
no definitive as of day. And I never ever ever
underestimate Trump in the sense that he could do something
miraculous or something terrible.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Either one is very very.

Speaker 9 (23:19):
Likely between now and the election that will either turn
people onto him or turn people off. Like I think
that when you're dealing with particularly Trump, there's he never
goes by the book, which is what some people love,
and that's fine, but knowing that it makes this all
the less clear.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Yeah, And I'll remind everybody as they get nervous with
comments like he made yesterday about there was more people
January sixth than at the MLK.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
I have a dream speech.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
That's the same Donald Trump that won and shocked the
world against Hillary Clinton, and without COVID and without the
changing of election laws, probably would have won in twenty twenty.
This guy finds a way to win with all his
pros and cons. So take all that with a grain
of salt as well. Remember most from this week. You
admit you admitting when it comes to a questrian Olympic competition,

(24:05):
it really is about the horse, not the rider.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
That's what I I think.

Speaker 9 (24:09):
I think any good like a would say the same.
Really and you're like, yeah, this isn't like I've gotten
on a horse that's been really good and been like,
oh my goodness, I'm so good now. No, I'm not
like yeah, Like there's a difference.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
A questioning hockey player, news reporter, seen your correspondent, and
real have a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
We'll talk to you very soon.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
All right, if you're just waking up, these are your
top five stories by Fry Who's saying the heat is on,
The debate is on at least one for sure.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Brian shook me all night long. Has our road to
the White House.

Speaker 10 (24:49):
Donald Trump says he has agreed to three debates in
September against VP Kamala Harris. At a press event from
his Mara al Lago home in Florida, Trump said the
debate eights would be on Fox News, ABC and NBC.

Speaker 11 (25:03):
But I look forward to the debates because I think
we have to set the record straight.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Why is it that millions of people.

Speaker 11 (25:09):
Were allowed to come into our country from prisons, from jails,
from mental institutions, insane asylums.

Speaker 10 (25:16):
At least one debate is set. ABC News announced Trump
and Harris agreed to a debate on September tenth. The
two tickets have been engaged in a back and forth
over a debate agreement in Washington. I'm Brian Shook.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris busy rallying support from union workers for
her twenty twenty four presidential bid.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Mark Mayfield fills us in.

Speaker 8 (25:38):
Harris and her running Minnesota governor Tim Walls, met with
United Autoworkers members on Thursday in Detroit. Harris thank the
union for endorsing her presidential campaign, as the ticket hopes
to win the crucial battleground state of Michigan in November
Harris and Walls are carrying out a blintz of swing
states this week and are set to stop in Arizona
on Friday.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Well, Harris continues to hide from the press.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
Donald True held a news conference from his home at
mar Lago, and he questioned Harris's status as a Democratic
nomine And.

Speaker 11 (26:07):
I'm no Biden fan, but I'll tell you what from
a constitutional standpoint, from any standpoint you look at, they
took the presidency away and people were saying he lost
after the debate, he couldn't win. Well, I don't know
that that's true necessarily.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
Well, the border crisis continues. What about the housing crisis?
A little bit of good news. Mortgage rates went down.
Tammy Trujuilo has the details.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
A thirty year fixed rate mortgage average less than six
point five percent this week, according to Freddie Mack. That's
down since last week six point seven three percent. It's
also the lowest since May of twenty twenty three. The
news comes as home prices remained sky high in nationwide.
I'm Tammy Trihello.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
Well, it hasn't really enhanced us from my Olympic experience personally,
but it's.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Been wildly successful.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
And popular Snoop Dog so popular NBC reportedly plans to
bring Snoop DOGG back for the twenty twenty six Winter
Olympic Games. The Milano Cortino Olympics are set to take
place in February of twenty twenty six. And finally, it's
a well coincidentally two birthdays Sam Elliott, the voice of

(27:15):
Smoking the Bear. At Smoky the Bear himself, Pretennis has more.

Speaker 12 (27:19):
Smokey Bear's tale is a sad one orphaned as a
young cob by a wildfire. He dedicated his life to
preventing them. Over the years, he's become quite popular. The
ad Council says eight out of ten people recognize him.
In fact, he's so popular he even has his own
zip code and if you write to him you'll become
a junior forest ranger. They're smoky merchandise that generates millions

(27:40):
every year, which Smokey uses for wildfire prevention.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
And that's where you come in, Holie, you can prevent wildfire.

Speaker 12 (27:48):
Happy eightieth birthday, Smoky Bear. I'm pretendant if we should
have recognized that with Samoli that's just like him is yeshes.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Too, Celtic great Bob Coosey shares a birthday with actors
Sam Elliott. Bob Coosey's ninety six. Sam Elliott is eighty
prime Time. You got me a little Primetime sound bite
because this is so true about him.

Speaker 7 (28:08):
Baby will win.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
We smelled like winning around him. He smells like a
birthday boy. Dion Sanders fifty seven years old.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Actress Anna Kendrick, You will love her and up in
the air with George Clooney.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
What a terrific performance. Great actress, thirty nine years old.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
And vivk Ramaswami one of my stars of the Primary Process,
thirty nine years old. If it's your birthday, Happy birthday.
We are so glad you were born. And thanks for
waking up with your morning show.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
Hi.

Speaker 9 (28:34):
I'm actress Lisa Varga and my morning show is your
morning show with Michael del Giorno.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
This is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jorna. We
have one email and one story to go. Email front.
Randy Writ's personal question. Don't have to say anything, but
I was just wondering. You seem extremely happy at your
new job. Do you ever miss your old job? I
switched over a couple of times and seems a little empty,
glad to have you back. I'm glad you found us.

(28:59):
I was raised by my family to where if you
have nothing good to say, you say nothing at all.
And I pretty effectively live that. I will say I
have died and gone to radio Heaven, and I feel
like I have been delivered. And I love my our heart, leadership,
and family. I love this show. I love everybody that's

(29:20):
on this show. I have never been happier and that
speaks for itself. Now that's not to say they feel
the same way about me. Take Roory O'Neil. He can't
stand me, but I always give him the final story.
And the Olympics will come to an end Sunday with
the closing ceremonies, Dominance among medals, Snoop dog Me discovering
women's rugby. I mean, there's gonna be a lot of things,

(29:42):
but the long and short a very successful Olympics for
Team USA.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
Yeah, and me discovering the women's Brazilian volleyball team.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Did you watch them last night?

Speaker 7 (29:51):
Wow? But yeah, look we are crushing it in the
overall medal count. Thought when it comes to the gold
medal battle, it's a tie, right. The US and China
both have thirty gold medals, but again we're beating them
in the overall count one oh three.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
To seventy four.

Speaker 7 (30:07):
A lot of events are finally reaching the metal round,
so these numbers are going to move a lot in
the next to seventy two hours or so. And of
course today we're all looking forward to the breakdancing competition.
Breaking starts in about an hour, and this is a
one off for these Olympic Games. So whatever you see
for the breaking competition, that's.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
All you're going to get evere, you know it is
sometimes they go a little too far with some of
these events. Skateboarding, breakdancing, I think we can agree, is
going too far. I have struggled with track for my
entire life, and this year I fell in love with it.
And last night, I gotta tell you, I never seen
Sidney McLaughlin levron. I remember being in high school and

(30:49):
you know, we had to do the hurdles and I
was short, so it came up to my breast and
I'm like, Coach Smith, I can't do this, and he
was doing a perfect form. But the way, the speed
in which they run, the way they hit it in stride,
take the hurdles there. It was like secretary in the Belmont.
There was nobody else even in the picture in the
four hundred meter and she takes gold and defense her gold.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
That was a great moment.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
The men almost stumbled against Serbia, took a fourth quarter
comeback because they stumbled against France and the gold. The
women continue to dominate in basketball and the US are
gonna have to settle for bronze and water polo, but
that could be another medal. The volleyball team is one
went away from another gold medal. Kelly Nellie Korda had
a terrible sixteenth hole yesterday, but she's number one in

(31:33):
the world. Our number one in the world on the
men's side ended up taking gold. I still see a
lot more golds in our future before the end of
Sunday than I do China's. I think we're going to
lead all the medal counts by the time we leave. Yeah,
and no Russian, as we were expected to.

Speaker 7 (31:47):
And they should also point out I also enjoy a
lot of the sports where boy, they must do it
for the love of the sport because there's no money.
And at the moment I'm watching a rhythmic gymnast you know,
vans round tossing a hoop in the air, and you're like, oh,
you know the dologs. Who's coming out with a career
on this one. So God bless her for committing so
much time and energy to this. Uh, I guess you'd

(32:08):
call it an art form.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
It'll be over by the time we talk on Monday.
Who's the star of this Olympic Games? Someone biles, Oh, is.

Speaker 7 (32:14):
It Snoop Dogg or a Smoan.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Yeah, it's one of those two.

Speaker 7 (32:18):
Or the guy with the glasses and the pommel horse.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Oh he was.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
You got bronze and.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
Everyone's coordinating the guy. I'm I'm not sure why. I
think we're all just always looking for new story angles.
I think it's also a way for how to do
these games in the future. Paris did this sort of
on the cheap. They didn't spend and build some new
three billion dollar venue. Instead, they said, let's try to
clean the sin. They got it halfway done. But now,
you know, look out of la because these games don't

(32:45):
make moneys for city, and so that's.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
Where the brilliant that's where the brilliance in Paris may
come in. Because you know, they've built a lot of
temporary facilities that can be taken down, which I think
was very smart, and then the strategic could place them
so that you can play beach volleyball with the Eiffel
Tower behind you.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
But yes, Snoop Dogg has NBC.

Speaker 5 (33:05):
All indications are he'll be back for the Winter Games
in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Twenty survives.

Speaker 7 (33:14):
Yeah, but it pulls him away from EPIJI because Tahiti
rather and with his foot injuries and the staff infection.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
So you just hope gets better.

Speaker 5 (33:24):
All right, Well, it's been a very successful Olympic Games
in ratings and in metals.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Rory, great story. We'll talk again on Monday.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
Talk to you then, Michael.

Speaker 5 (33:32):
Don't forget Rory's weekend show, The Dives, on iHeart stations
and on your iHeart app.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
We're all in this together. This is your morning show
with Michael Hill. Show or no
