Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, It's Michael. Your morning show airs live five to
eight am Central, six to nine Eastern and great cities
like Memphis, Tennessee, Telsa, Oklahoma, Sacramento, California. We'd love to
be a part of your morning routine, but we're happier
here now. Enjoy the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Well two three starting your morning off right, A new
way of taught, a new way of understanding because we're
in a mist give. This is your morning.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Show with Michael o'dill Chuan Well despite some technical attacks,
I mean difficulties that tried to block it. Elon Musks
conversation with Donald Trump took place on x Live and
reached a million, and he'll probably reach tens of millions
more bouncing around on social media. Protests against Israel and
the United States expected outside the DNC convection in Chicago

(00:48):
as nineteen sixty eight continues to rear its ugly head.
In twenty twenty four, new study projects cancer cases and
deaths and men will surge eighty six percent by twenty
five fifty and the US the strengthening forces in the
Middle East due to the escalating regional tensions. Welcome to Tuesday,
the thirteenth of August twenty twenty four on the air

(01:09):
and streaming live on your iHeartRadio app. This is your
morning show. I'm Michael del Jordan. We get the great
pleasure of having I think one of the finest military
and foreign policy in the minds in America and the
world join us every week. Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano from
the Heritage Foundation, All Right, with an Iranian attack apparently
imminent US forces moving into place subs worships, is there

(01:35):
any way to avoid an escalation in this direct war
between Israel and Iran? I guess, just like last week,
Lieutenant Colonel, depends on what Iran does.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Right, Well, actually, what it depends on is something I
mentioned before in the show. Right, It's called backchat. So
back channels are the messages that countries send each other
that don't have formal diplomatic relations. It's often through third
party countries or the intelligence networks or something like that.

(02:05):
And so the real question is is and this is
the one thing we don't know, is what is Joe
Biden telling the Iranians about the US deployments to the region,
Because we now have in the region big parts of
the sixth Fleet. They just announced today there's a US
submarine with another one hundred and fifty Tomahawks F thirty

(02:28):
five F twenty two, and the shoot that what's important
about the F thirty five F twenty two is they're
almost well they are literally impossible to track on radar,
so there so they're the one kind of manned aircraft
that can do deep penetration attacks and there's almost nothing
that you can do about. So if you look at
the sum total of everything that we've put into the region,

(02:51):
we have the capacity that literally cover targets from Damascus,
you know, all the way through Ran to the border.
And so the question is where is Joe Biden told
the Iranians that that deployment is for, and what is
he willing to do with it? I think that's without question,
in my mind, the number one factor in the Iranians' minds.

(03:13):
But before they decide with their next step.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
There and do you well, and I guess Iran would
have to understand, is that there for defensive purposes or
retaliatory purposes. It's a massive amount of ability, would you
say to more than just block, but maybe eliminate abilities
for Iran or any other nation watching.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
If Biden said, Look, if you start something, not only
will we help shoot down everything that's in coming from
Israel every place that you launch something from every capability
that you have that can losch stuff that's gone, and

(03:54):
not only will you lose that because the Iranians really
don't have aaron missile defense ability to protect against that.
The next wave our Israeli planes. Those planes are going
to go after the command and control of the country,
which allows the Iranians to keep locked down on the
millions of people that don't like the regime. They're going

(04:15):
to take out the electrical grid, they are going to
hit the sites that allow around to deploy oil and
make money, and then they're going to go after the
nuclear targets.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Are we seeing any movement with Russian assets or Chinese
or any other allies of Iran.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Well, the Russians are busy, Yeah, they are in Ukraine,
as you might. Well, no, they're busy in Russia. Right,
So the Russians now are rapidly trying to redevloid forces
to Kursk because they have this enormous embarrassment of the
Ukrainians having hundreds of kilometers of Ukrainian entire story and

(05:00):
the embarrassments of Russians bombing their own their own lands.
The Chinese, the Chinese will do anything they're not held
accountable for. So the notion of the Chinese directly getting
involved in zero. But the Chinese will will help prop
up the Iranians as they did the Russians in the

(05:21):
Ukraine War. But the Chinese cannot prevent a revolution inside Iran.
And and quite honestly, I think that's what's at risk
here is that you lose control of the country and
you know, the guys stay in the barracks uh and uh,
and then the next thing you know, you're you know,

(05:42):
you're you're vacationing in in Beijing for the rest of
your life.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Walk us through what that might look like. I'll never forget.
George W. Bush did something I thought was very smart
when he talked to the people of a rock as
opposed to sam Hussein before an offensive attack. Where do
the people of Iran stand on all of this? The
Revolutionary Guard and the Ayatola we know, but the military

(06:13):
and the people, how far and willing are they willing
to pay for this level of a jihad? If you will, well.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Look anytime authoritarian regime topples. By definition, you don't know
what's going to happen because authoritarian regimes are predicated on
the lack of situational awareness of what's going on inside
the country, even by the regime itself. So and there's
some wild cards here. Nobody's going to Russian and Stealeranian

(06:45):
territory because that's not on the cards. But there are
some players on the proophery that have some interests. The
Taliban they're kind of busy, unlikely they're going to do anything.
The Turks they're mainly focused on Syria, so they'll do
some things in Syria. You have Curtis Dan, which is

(07:05):
the independent region in Iran, they'll probably likely stand pat
uh Iraq sorry. The Kurds will probably stampat, not do anything.
There's a huge Aszuri population in Iran. They're ethnically Azerbaijani.
The Azerbaijanis are likely to do nothing, they're so uh.

(07:32):
And then the question is is you know, what are
the what are the military revolution I guard those kind
of things. Do they fight or whatever to leave the country.
So there's a lot of unknown There's a huge the
The external diaspora is not coming back taking over. That's
a joke, right, They have no influence in the country.
There is a significant internal opposition in the country, which

(07:55):
is I think politically astute, educated, pro Westerner. They have
the potential to set up a government, but then there's
a question of what some other actors do.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
So James Carfinald Lieutenant colonel joining US from the Heritage Foundation,
as the US moves and deploys more assets into the region,
and what appears to be a retaliation from Iran on
Israel and America stepping up to defend Israel and perhaps
even more you know, we look Jimmy Carter mettled in

(08:30):
the seventies and when the Shaw fell, the Ayatola appeared,
and that's how we got the Islamic Republic of Iran.
So my guess is to play the risky game that
somehow in this offensive Shia type Iran you're going to
get something that much different is kind of a long shot.

(08:51):
I want to go back to what you stated, which
was the big unknown of back channels, meaning the amount
of Tomahawks in F thirty five and the assets that
are in the region are more than enough to defend Israel,
and they are more than enough to take out a
lot of things in Iran. It depends on what messaging
you're sending. If this was Reagan, w or Trump, we

(09:15):
wouldn't be asking that question. Obama, we might Biden. We
really must ask do we have any indication which Biden
this is or whoever's really pulling the strings. There was
a time there was no distance between Israel and America,
and there was a time where there was a turning
against Israel for internal Democrat political purposes. Where do we

(09:39):
think this administration stands now?

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Yeah? So, And I think that that's an important question
because there is a difference, I think between Biden and
Harris and Middle East policy. Biden is in some ways
more still a bit of a classic Democrat and a
recognize you can't overstep and abandon American vital interests that

(10:04):
you pay a price for that. It's why he eventually
stood up in Ukraine, because you're an interest. It's why
he never he really can't cut the cord with Israel,
despite the fact that there are people in his government
that would want to do that. So Harris is a
different creature. She's not She's not part of that old

(10:30):
school Democrat she's a new school Democrat. She is with
the squad. They would throw into Israel under the brush.
So I think in the end it would be very,
very difficult for Biden to let this go. But Harris,
I think, would throw Israel under the bus.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Yeah. My guess is Joe Biden doesn't have any political
ramifications anymore, so he doesn't have to play to the
far left squad anymore because he's out of the game.
Harris does, and Harris willingly does moving forward. If you're
a run you might do nothing until you see if
Harris wins. Because my guess is if Trump wins or

(11:07):
if Biden is president, they do it before the election.
I think that fleet's there to be used.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Well, I mean, I think that's an open question. But
I think you're you're I think these are all possibilities.
People have to understand Harris is a different creature when
it comes to the Middle East. She is with the squad. Right,
This is not This is not Joe Biden trying to

(11:36):
keep the party together. The party. The half that's pro
is a pro American interest. In the other half it's
the radicals. Right, This is this is somebody that on
this issue is on the other side. And you know,
every day we learn more about the number of people
that have moved into the administration which are essentially advocates

(11:59):
for on including her own national security advice. So yeah,
I think if if look, if I were Iran, I
would not play this card.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Now, No, I would wait.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
I would wait.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
And you know how many conversations I was just gonna say,
how many conversations really important?

Speaker 3 (12:16):
You're right, is you have a space. Right if if
Harris wins, you plot, you can plot a future. If
if Trump's going to be the president, you still have November,
December and January to do things with an administration that
will be all deer in the headlights and do nothing
before Trump gets to office.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
You and I have had many conversations about and then
this is not You're not partisan. I try not to be.
I kind of am sometimes, but in this particular case,
I think I'm being pretty honest when I say some
of the worst foreign policy or the and I didn't
I didn't buy it as leading from behind. I saw
it as leading from out in front on behalf of
our enemies. But some of the worst foreign policy we

(12:58):
ever saw was Barack Obama and then when Biden got office,
we thought it was the same people doing the same
bad things. Donald Trump was surprisingly good at foreign policy.
But what's chilling about this conversation is there's something far
worse than Barack Obama than Kamala Harris. That's common.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Well, it's two parts to this. One is, you know,
there are things where she is part of the New
Democratic Party, which is I think a validly anti Semitic
and anti Scionist. And we see liberals all over the
world coming out of the work and embracing this position.

(13:37):
But in other respects, it's still the classic Obama Biden
foreign policy playbook because it's a lot of the same
people running it. But here's the challenge for a Harris,
which is a lot of that stuff's just not going
to play. So, for example, if you look at the
future composition of the G seven and many European leaders,

(14:00):
they're not wacko liberals, they're not going to be fellow
travelers with the Kamala Harris. If you look at global
energy policy, we're not going to have a green transition
in netzero that's going to fall apart. If you look
at the borders you already is basically said you know,
we need a different border policy Latin Americas. So there
are so many areas where they followed the playbook, but

(14:23):
they've run out of pages. And how does she deal
with those issues? We just don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
All right, Hopefully by the time we talk again, nothing
has happened, but a fleet sitting there prepared for the
worst that never happens. But if conditions were reals, you
know this.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Sewage proper right, your lips to God yours, Hey.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Man, James Carafinal, Tenna colonel, thanks for joining us. We'll
have you back up conditions warned. Twenty minutes after the hour,
your top five stories of the day are next. This
is your Morning Show with Michael del Tuono. Well, the
squad's been losing and all eyes are on the squad
again today as several states are holding primaries, Mark Mayfield
has details.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Owners will go to the polls Tuesday in Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont,
and Wisconsin. In Minnesota, progressive congresswoman Elin Omar will defend
her seat against former Minneapolis City Council member Don Samuels.
The contest comes after two other members of the so
called Progressive Squad, Jamal Bowman and Corey Bush, lost their
Democratic primaries to this cycle. In Wisconsin, Republicans will choose

(15:23):
a candidate to run against Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin, who
is running for a third Senate term on Mark Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Well. The White House supports eliminating taxes on tips for
hospitality and service workers. In fact, White House Press Secretary
Corine Jean Pierre told reporters both President Biden and Vice
President Harris have always had the backs of the working people.
This is something that the President supports.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
He supports eliminating taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,
while also raising minimum wage and preventing the wealthy from
gaining the system.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Well, that's very interesting, seeing as it was Common Harris
who actually cast the deciding vote exactly two years ago
to fund the IRS to attack those and tip reporting.
But don't hold your breath for anybody to connect the dots.

(16:18):
Residents felt the earth move under their feet. Who better
to report on an earthquake than Brian Shook. The magnitude
four point four quake was centered in South Pasadena, and
Eric says he was having lunch when it hit.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
It was really quick and it was it felt like
something fell.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
It didn't feel like the earth was taken. It was
more like a lambam.

Speaker 6 (16:38):
It hit at twelve twenty Monday afternoon local time. The
USGS sent out an automated warning to cell phone seconds
before the earthquake hit. There are no reports of injuries.
I'm Brian Shook and sports. Dbacks won five to four
over the Rockies. Guardians won nine to eight in a
slugfest against the Cubbies, Rays, Rangers, Cardinals lost, Mariners and

(16:59):
Nationals were off.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
And that's your top five stories of the day. Hi,
it's Michael. Your morning show could be heard live weekday
mornings five to eight am six to nine am Eastern
and great cities like Tampa, Florida, Youngstown, Ohio, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
We'd love to join you on the drive to work live,
but we're glad you're here now. Enjoy the podcast. This
is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jorno on the
ear and streaming live on your iHeart app. Can't have

(17:22):
your morning show without your voice, which is why we
have our talkback button. Let's go to John and Sacramento
listening on Talk six fifty kste Michael.

Speaker 7 (17:32):
My name is has I'm out in San Diego, California. Hey,
your East Coast bias on baseball is showing. Nice of
you to mention that the Diamondbacks. One, let me say
all of those lost you missed out on the rivalry
between the no good, stinking lawyers and both the Padres
and the Diamondbacks. West Coast baseball rules, but you don't
mention them se vays in a row.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Well, thanks here, keep out to good work. Thank you
so much. Actually we just mentioned cities where your morning
show airs. Otherwise I'd be giving every major league score,
and let's face it, that might be going too far.
Emails at Michael d at iHeartMedia dot com. Well, the
best one goes to red redcent This email Michael denying
OURFK junior ballot access in New York where. Don't forget

(18:16):
he's been a resident, primary resident since nineteen sixty four.
His driver's license is there, his legal practice licenses there.
Denying ORFK junior ballot access in New York is priceless.
This from the Democrat party that doesn't want any proof
of citizenship for voters to vote, mail in ballots and
ballot harvesting. That's all perfectly okay, Bigger than a giraffe.

(18:43):
You're correct. Keep the emails coming, Michael D at iHeartMedia
dot com. Don't forget the microphone. That's a talkback button
on your iHeartRadio app. We'd love to hear it, hear
from you and share it with the class, all right,
if you're just waking up. Amazon has announced a new
partnership with both TikTok and Pinterest. Pinterest but TikTok, I
thought they were a national security threat. Aaron ray All

(19:04):
is joining us, your morning show correspondent, you know, for
being such a thread. Everybody's teaming up with TikTok.

Speaker 8 (19:11):
Right, They're like, all right, if it's going to go away,
let's make the money while we can. I don't know
what the thinking is here, but yeah, they're just proceeding
as if it's going to be fine, and who knows,
maybe it will be. But the idea is that users
will now be able to link their TikTok and their
Pinterest accounts to their Amazon accounts, because leaving your social
media deep scroll to go to an external browser to

(19:33):
buy the thing was too onerous.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
I guess.

Speaker 8 (19:36):
Oh wow, all.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Right, if all the suspicions of TikTok are realistic. Do
we really want TikTok now having access to our finances?

Speaker 8 (19:46):
No, of course not. But like, this is what I'm saying,
So let's the prompt campaign just got hacked over the weekend.
Buyern banks get hacked. Microsoft is hacked. It happens all
the time. The part of me is like, if you
do any banking on line, which we all do, it's
accessible if someone really wants it. Now, all of that said,

(20:07):
Amazon just like you know, teaming up with TikTok, and
if the Chinese government comes to TikTok and says we
need all your information, they have to give it to them.
Those are the laws under which they're operating in China.
It's it's different than here. So we can't even like
gripe about it if it happens, because they made it
very clear.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
One's a vulnerability. We've learned to risk assess and take
this is this is a likelihood.

Speaker 8 (20:30):
Right exactly, And I think that that's the difference. But no,
for whatever, and you're right, it is like a national
security thread. People aren't allowed to have it on their
phone if you work in government or you know, for
any sort of contractor But until then, metases a excuse me, Amazon,
it sees a buck to be made and they're going
to make it. And they've also done this with Meta
and Snap. So it's basically this like growing in app

(20:52):
shopping friend people. I say this facetiously, but I'm like, really,
was it so hard to go to the external browser
to buy it? I guess they don't want you to leave.
They want you to tap, they want you to buy.
And this is really quite good.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
Because I would presume them even if you went to
a link eron they would still get whatever sharing that
whatever the arrangement is. I mean, I'm sure they made
money on the ad number one, but if they're I mean,
I can't, I can't understand why it matters that you
leave to make the purchase. But so.

Speaker 8 (21:21):
Short answer, it probably doesn't, like if you're you know,
if you're sleuthing hard enough, like, it probably doesn't and
I don't in some ways, I mean, I'm sure it
puts a slightly more at risk of China having our
stuff that like the hackers in China aren't bad at
what they do if they really want, like like it's accessible,
and I just this you bring up. This is what

(21:44):
I love talking to Michael, because you bring up these
thirty thousand feet questions where I'm like, yeah, that's right.

Speaker 9 (21:49):
Well you're like, no, no, this is not going to end.
Well does anyone else see this?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
No? I mean this is this is like a wreck
waiting to happen. I mean, but you know, here's the deal,
like the parent in me, now we'll speak from thirty
thousand feet TikTok purchasing my kids. That's where you need
to worry, right, Yeah, And I just find it suspicious
they're starting with TikTok. Now, I know there's more and

(22:13):
more adults on TikTok every day. I'm not but actually,
you know what I want. Somebody sent me a video
I got to make a confession here, and I went
to watch it and apparently it was a TikTok video,
and so it asked me to sign in. So I
used my Facebook to sign in, and now I think
I'm on TikTok. I got to figure out how to
get off.

Speaker 7 (22:29):
They let you in.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
That's really fair because people keep sending me things like
they're wanting to be like, I don't know what are
they friends or whatever they are? So I got to
figure out to get off of it.

Speaker 8 (22:39):
I'm forty, so it would be wildly and appropriate for
me to be on TikTok. But the idea that like, yes,
I understand that there will always be a new social
media and certain demographics will will rush towards one versus
the other. But this one it seems to have staying
power if, of course, the US government doesn't outlawed. But
if it does, I'm like, they're just going to build

(23:01):
anyone that's exactly like it. It's not I don't know
why why this is confusing to anyone. It's like, we're
operating as if this is the last social medias that
are available today that will ever be available, and then
it's done.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
And you know what, But here's the thing. Once we
find one we like. I mean, look at Facebook. Nobody
likes what Zuckerberg stands for or or what Facebook book
has done to censor people. But that's where we all are.
And it's once they establish it, it's hard to get
them off of it. Yeah. But in the case, I mean, yeah,
just what I want. It's not enough they can get

(23:33):
all that access to me. Let's give them my financial
information too, nothing like, I know, let's run towards the
Cliff together. Shall we are great reporting. We'll talk again tomorrow.
Thanks for joining us. You got it time. We just
waking up. There was a disturbance in the force, but
after about forty five minutes they got it fixed and

(23:54):
then they went on to talk for two hours. Elon
Musk's conversation with President Trump on X Mark Mayfield has More.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Supposed to start at eight pm Eastern, The conversation didn't
take place for about another hour due to what Musk
claimed was a distributed denial of service attack on the platform.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Like we're having a great conversation right now. Kamala wouldn't
have this conversation. She can't because she's not for Mark.

Speaker 8 (24:17):
You know, she's not a smart person, by the way.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
Following the hiccup, the two discussed things such as the
attempted assassination of Trump and Pennsylvania, immigration, Russian President Vladimir Putin,
and the threat of global warming. At one point in
the discussion, over one point three million people were listening live.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
I'm Mark Mayfield, Well, a New York State judge, is
kitting Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Junior off the
state's ballot. Andrew Whitman has more The.

Speaker 10 (24:43):
Judge ruling Monday that the Kennedy campaign used a sham
address to maintain state residency. Kennedy claimed to live in
Westchester Counties Katona on state election forms and in recent mailers,
but that address is actually owned by a Kennedy Pale.
Before running for president, Kennedy he had been living in
la with wife Cheryl Hines. Kennedy has three days to appeal.

(25:05):
Andrew Whitman NBC News Radio New York.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
The ruling came in spite of the fact that Kennedy
is a registered voter in New York, has had a
primary residency in New York since nineteen sixty four, pays
taxes in New York, has a New York driver's license,
and his legal license to practice law is in New York.

(25:29):
Lawfair Anyone, RFK said, the Democrats are showing contempt for democracy.
They're not confident they can win at the ballot box,
so they're trying to stop voters from having a choice.
They did it with Trump and now they're doing it
with OURFK residents felt the earthquake shook things up in
southern California. Who better to report on that than our

(25:51):
very own Brian Shook.

Speaker 6 (25:52):
The magnitude four point four quake was centered in South Pasadena,
and Eric says he was having lunch when it hit.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
It.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
It was really quick and it was it felt like
something fell. It didn't feel like the earth was shaken.
It was more like a wham man.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
It hit at twelve twenty Monday afternoon local time. The
USGS sent out an automated warning to cell phone seconds
before the earthquake hit. There are no reports of injuries.
I'm Rian shuk. If any of you said thank you, ma'am,
shame on you.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Hamas says it won't send a delegation to talk with
Israel and negotiate. It was scheduled for Thursday. Tammy Trehillo
has details.

Speaker 11 (26:30):
Hamas said in a statement on Sunday it wanted negotiators
to present a plan to implement what was agreed upon
in early July instead of pursuing further rounds of negotiations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Ettyahu's office had previously said they
will send negotiators to Thursday's talks to finalize the details
of the implementation of the agreement framework. The scheduled talks

(26:51):
are an effort to end the war between Hamas and
Israel and to free the one hundred and fifteen hostage
is still held captive by Hamas. I'm Tammy Tricheo.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Well, not to be outdone by Elon Muss with Donald Trump,
barbarstreisand Babsy is going to be a guest speaker for
a virtual group called this week supporting Kamala Harris for President.
Brace yourself when I say this out loud. This is
not intended to be comedy. This is serious news reporting.

(27:21):
According to its website, the Jewish Women for Kamala, the
call is open to all genders and all Jewish allies.
Streisand has been a vocal supporter for President Biden, not
necessarily a vocal supporter of Israel, and is endorsed Vice
President Harris for president. The one hour call is scheduled
for Thursday at eight pm Eastern Time. Those interested in

(27:43):
joining in the call, and I would love for about
one hundred of you to join into the call by
it up a bit if you know what I mean.
You can do so at mobilize dot us website. Well,
a new type of insurance has a sweet payoff. Ladies
and gentlemen Brete with details.

Speaker 9 (28:01):
Baskin Robbins is handing out free ice cream scoops on Wednesday.
The company says it's their Melt insurance, writing a wrong
of ice cream that's melted so fast you couldn't eat it.
This one day promotion is available nationwide on the company's app.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
With a promo code Melt.

Speaker 9 (28:16):
You add a single scoop to your cart and pick
it up at your local Baskin Robins store. I'm Bree Tennis.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
I'll take a rockill go please, And that's your top
five stories of the day.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Bret in front of Tennessee.

Speaker 12 (28:30):
My morning show is your morning show with Michael del Joino.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
We always give the final story to Rory and this
is a serious one. The United States is moving more
and more military hardware. We just did a debriefing with
a Lieutenant Colonel James Carafano. I mean, this is a
serious amount of arsenal. The question is what is its
intent to defend Israel or to take out any abilities
of Iran. And more importantly, the message beyond what's being

(28:56):
put into position warship submarines F thirty five's the intent
in back channels, what's being messaged we can't know that,
but what we can know is what we've moved into place.
You want to run down the arsenal well, sure, so.

Speaker 12 (29:09):
Now the USS Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier Strike Group has
been told to get to the area more quickly to
join a second carrier group already there. Then we've also
got the Pentagon saying, hey, look where we're sending our submarine.
It's getting closer there too, the USS Georgia, a guided
missile submarine. We don't normally telegraph where submarines go, since
that defeats the purpose, But here the purpose is deterrence

(29:33):
and to try to send a message to Iran that
the US and our allies are preparing to defend Israel
should Iran try to pull something either by itself or
in conjunction with its proxies like Hesbala Hamas and the Huties.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
Yeah, the two things for those that have been following
this closely that were kind of question marks, was Lincoln,
for example, wasn't intended to be there till the end
of the month. How quickly can it get there? Because
an imminent attack on Israel seem to be within twenty
four hours. Have we heard any more about how long
before they're all in place.

Speaker 12 (30:08):
Haven't gotten a more specific timeline as to their movements,
but obviously they are not the fastest things to move
because they are complicated strike groups.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
It's not just a single aircraft carrier.

Speaker 12 (30:19):
So it's also all about the messaging, right that we're
going to have all of these resources available to us.
That F twenty two raptors have also been prepositioned in
the region, essentially saying hey, look we stopped you in April,
we can do it again.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
All right, that's a lot. I mean, the F thirty
five's virtually undetectable. The level of Tomahawks would be I mean,
there's certainly enough to aid Israel and defending itself, but
this is more to send a message we'll take out
whatever site you're firing from. And of course their allies,
China likes to stay out of things. Russia is quite

(30:56):
busy in Ukraine and at home. So you know, we
had a very fascinating conversation. I'll just fill you in.
James Carfin was saying basically that you know, Barack Obama
had a much different foreign policy than Donald Trump and
w before and after him, But in this case, Joe
Biden's have an old school Democrat and he doesn't have

(31:16):
to worry about the far left of his party. He's
not a candidate anymore. And his guess is that it
wouldn't be a good idea for Iran to mess while
Joe's president might be wiser to wait. That Kamala Harris
is more of a new Democrat party and a new
foreign policy that might be more less likely to take

(31:37):
risks and support Israel and more work along with Iran.
So he thinks the indication is they might wait, and
with these in position and the indication that Biden might
use it, they might be wise to wait. We'll see
how it affects what many have said, Well, how many
days in a row, Rory, have we said within the
next twenty four hours, we expect a retaliation that simply

(31:59):
has happened yet.

Speaker 12 (32:01):
Yeah, But my counter with that to that would be
that or flip side. Perhaps Harris feels she has to
prove herself and is more aggressive than she might otherwise be.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Time will tell. Time will tell on all of this.
But that's a lot of Arsenal moving into the Middle East,
and again, as we've talked about this, a million times.
We've had a proxy war with Iran, between Israel and
Iran through Hesba Llah and Hamas, this would be a
direct war. And as I remind people, don't forget, Israel
and Iran are proxies for the big boys, the United States, Russia,

(32:33):
and China. So we'd all like this to sim it down,
if you will, and not escalate. Rory, great reporting. We'll
talk again tomorrow. Thanks, Michael, talk to you that. I
have a great day.

Speaker 10 (32:42):
All right.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
I want to do a final thing we kind of
did early in our five o'clock hour shameless plug for
the podcast if you missed it, but classic Salolensky, classic
Barack Obama, classic Democrat Party. Now it's kind of evolved.
Is whatever they're you know, say they're fighting, they're confessing
what they're doing. So they claim they're fighting to preserve democracy,

(33:02):
which would presume that they're actually fighting to destroy it.
And when you look at the judge's ruling in the
RFK case, that's an attack on democracy, isn't it. Or
we did the conflict of interest with ABC doing the
debate when it's top executive is best friends with Kamala
and their husband's are best friend and then there was
this one. If you think you know JFK permanent residence

(33:25):
since nineteen sixty four, his driver's licenses there, his taxes
are paid, there is law licenses there, and this is
the lawfair saying he can't be on the ballot. It's ridiculous.
Is anybody getting it worse than Telsea Gabbard who finds
herself on a lieutenant colonel on a terror list. Here's

(33:45):
what she had to say about the harassment.

Speaker 13 (33:48):
The closest word that I could think of that can
begin to describe what I felt and what I feel
in learning that actually, according to these whistleblowers, that I
am on this quiet guy's list, that my own government,
my president, my commander in chief, is targeting me as
a potential domestic terrorist. The closest word that comes to

(34:12):
mind is a complete sense of betrayal.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
I'll end with this. In the case of Tulsa Gabbard,
a presidential candidate for the Democrat Party, RFK Junior, a
lifelong Democrat camelot. Think of this attack on democracy from
the Democrat Party, Talsy Gabbard and our FK Junior. Oh,
it goes beyond Donald Trump, as he has often warned us,

(34:36):
we're all in this together. This is Your Morning Show
