us along on the drive to work, but better late

(00:22):
than never. Enjoy the podcast well two three, starting your
morning off right, A new way of talk, a new
way of understanding, because we're in the stupid This is
your Morning show with Michael Bill Trump. US officials are
on high alert for a potential Iranian attack on Israel.

(00:44):
Vice President Kamala Harris will soon be unveiling her economic policies.
The number the top two issues far and away in
the polling is the border crisis and the economic crisis.
And this leading candidate for president of the ICE is
just about to unveil what she plans to do to
solve it. How did she get in lead without doing that?

(01:07):
President Biden is announcing one hundred and fifty million dollars
in federal grants to fight cancer and Democratic vice presidential
candidate Tim Walls is speaking out in defense of his
military service record. Again, he did serve in the National
Guard for nearly two decades or a little over two decades.
What became an issue, and this happens in politics and

(01:28):
the miniature on a ticket, you're going to be exposed
to this. He got his rank wrong on his bio
and then people began to come forward about his exit
as his group was being deployed. So again, this isn't
really an issue of attacking someone's valor. It just is
what it is in politics, and you got to get

(01:50):
your bio right, you got to get your resume right.
And if there are things in your past for whatever
reason that are questionable, they're going to come up. And
that's a part of the game. You know what we
see in this is they have no problem. In fact,
many people have credited this is how Tim Wallas got
the job. When he started referring to Donald Trump and jd.

(02:12):
Vance is weird. He went on the offensive and attacked jd.
Vance as not being a hardworking middle class guy like
him and everybody in the Midwest, but an Ivy League elite.
So you could say at some point, Oh so it's

(02:33):
okay for you to bash him as an Ivy League elite.
So he goes from Appalachia poverty to a law degree
for meale, and you want to shame him for that,
But nobody can shame you for leaving the National guardage.
Your unit was being deployed to a rock. That's just politics.
Grow up now. The way it plays in the matrix

(02:56):
is their side tells their narrative, the other side tells
the other name. But you know, this is why I
bring up nineteen sixty eight so much. I have three
things going through my head. This story, a couple of others,
and then some personal text messages I'm getting from somebody
that is challenging my Christianity for voting for Donald Trump,
which is just just a ridiculous notion. But this is

(03:19):
a very dear friend doing this as if there is
a God and a devil in this race. Kamala Harris
is not my choice by any stretch, but she's not
the devil, and Donald Trump isn't the devil either. And
you know, she sent some video on Christian nationalism, which

(03:39):
is a whole other thing that's going on that we
probably ought to do a whole week with David's an audium.
But this is what happens in the matrix, and this
is what nineteen sixty eight was all about. So in
nineteen sixty eight, you had those that were marching for
a civil rights movement and those that were resisting these changes.

(04:04):
So you had a racial divide in the country. You
had those that were for the war in Vietnam and
those that were against it. Never thought we should have
been there. Certainly many that chimed in with it, and oh,
by the way, you're losing. And we've talked about this before,
but Walter Krona, this is back when you had three
networks and one was really leading CBS and Walter Kronka

(04:24):
And after the tet offensive, Heat broadcast live for a
week from Vietnam, and that's when LBJA lost the war,
had a chance for another term. So you had a
growing belief that our boys were dying and losing and
we never should have been there. So you had anti
war movement, you had race movements, and you had candidates

(04:49):
for each of them. But America was very divided, increasingly divided,
and that came to a head at the convention in Chicago,
and where is the Democratic Convention now in Chicago? How

(05:10):
much of RFK was the one that was assassinated in
nineteen sixty eight, the attempt was on Donald Trump. In
twenty twenty four, LBJ stepped down in his run for reelection.
This time it was Joe Biden. And in the midst
of all this chaos kind of like, it's easier for
you to see the chaos of sixty eight than the

(05:32):
chaos of today. In the midst of all this chaos,
believe or not, this is before Watergate, and you know,
won't happy to kick her out anymore. Richard Nixon was
just talking to the silent center. Nixon said, there are
those you see marching and fighting and on campuses and

(05:56):
anti war this, and then there's Americans trying to raise
a family, just trying to make ends meet, Get up today,
go to work, bring home enough money this month so
they don't go further in debt. And they're not screaming
and yelling and hating, but they're looking for leadership. They're

(06:17):
the silent center. The question is I can give you
about fifteen things in twenty twenty four that match perfectly
with nineteen sixty eight from assassination attempt to a president
stepping down. Is there a silent center in twenty twenty four?
And it's not that these things don't matter, it's just

(06:39):
we've got to prioritize. We're nothing if we're not safe.
You know, at the end of the day, you can
your home can be your dream home, it can be gorgeous,
but if you're not safe, you can't live there, you
can't work there. So national defense is always going to

(07:00):
be my priority. Local law enforcement. I live in Franklin, Tennessee.
We have the best police department in the world. Our
people love them and respect them, and they serve us honorably.
We have no problems with police and Franklin we have
no problem with crime, But safety is number one. After that.
The economy stupid. We spent our way into this mess.

(07:29):
We covided our way further into this mess. You can't
spend your way out of a spending problem, you can't
debt your way out of debt. And then finally we
got a border crisis, which has become a safety crisis,
not just in terms of national security or national financial security,

(07:51):
but literally crime. Is there a Syland center that doesn't
care at all? If Tim Walls did this or that,

(08:13):
or if JD. Van says all that this all seems
so trivial and nonsensical compared to the clear and present
danger that there may be as many as eighty terrorists
who have been brought to this country through our poorest borders.
Because that can remind you of what nineteen pulled off

(08:35):
on September eleventh. I just wonder if everything in twenty
twenty four is so much like it was in nineteen
sixty eight. I wonder if that even means there's a
silent center out there listening to all this nonsense. I mean,

(08:57):
here's a friend texting me nonsensically. Is it still about
Donald Trump and now Kamala Harris and before that Joe
Biden and before that Barack Obama? Or is it about
we the people? What kind of a friend puts a

(09:20):
presidential election, inserts that into your personal life. But the
right would call that a derangement syndrome. The left would
call that he's just that evil. Oh and yours is
a saint, Saint Kamala, That's it. I mean, I can't

(09:46):
think of anything more damning than Kamala Harris is the
not presumptive nominee for the Democrat Party headed a convention,
and she's about to tell you her economic policies at
a time of that economic crisis three days from now.
She hasn't even done it yet. The hell are you supporting?

(10:08):
Have you gotten her border policies yet? Have you got
her national defense initiatives and vision yet? What have you
been doing? In an emotional Hollywood movie? What have you
been watching? I told you how we went on a

(10:29):
journey of discovery? Did we do that? Monday? Yeah? Monday.
You can't find anything on Harris for president about where
she stands on issues. It's just narrative about her bio pictures,
how to give money, where her next rally is, how
to get t shirts and yards? Nothing about what matters most. Look,

(10:50):
I'll just remind you in closing, this is an intimate
job interview between candidates speaking to us, US asking the questions,
us doing the hiring them, having to earn the job.
This isn't the media's game, and not ours. This isn't
the candidate's game and not ours. Remember those old Jeffery,

(11:16):
do you remember when they had They probably still do them.
I just don't do them anymore. But it doesn't. You
don't do your candidate. It just takes you through all
the issues in where you stand, and then it tells
you the candidate that represents you most. I did it
for like four presidential cycles, no, six presidential cycles. Never

(11:37):
once was the candidate I was supporting the one that
popped up. That's how much faces matter, voices matter, trajectory
and momentum. I mean, we're all guilty, but not to
the level we're at today. So I'm just curious, is
there a silent center out there somewhere, Because if there is,

(11:59):
someone and should start talking to them pronto. This is
your morning show with Michael del Chrono. Time for your
top five stories of the day. Oh, it won't go
it won't go there it is wait twenty four minutes
after the hour. Thanks for waking up with your morning show.

(12:21):
Here's what you need to know. Vice President Kamala Harris
is going to be finally unveiling her economic plan. It'll
take place in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Friday, and Mark
Mayfield has the details.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
It will be the first policy centered speech by the
Democratic presidential nominee since she entered the race for the
White House. After President Biden withdrew. The Harris campaign said
the vice president will outline a plan to lower costs
for middle class families and to take on corporate price
gouging over the weekend. Harris said she supports eliminating taxes
on tips, a position also held by former President Trump.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
I'm Mark Neyfield. Former President Trump plans to return to Pennsylvania,
literally the county where he was shot at on July thirteenth.
Brian Shook as more.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
The GOP nominee, will go back to Butler County this October.
The former president says he will also be at a
rally on Saturday, speaking at the Mohegan Arena in Wilkespeare Township.
Trump announced the October event during Monday's live stream interview
with ex billionaire Elon Musk, but did not offer a
date or location for that rally. I'm Brian Schuk.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
As US officials are on high alert for potential Iranian
attack in Israel. Efforts to reach a ceasefire in the
Gaza are intensifying. Lisa Taylor has that story.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Formal negotiations are expected to resume this week. The potential
for an attack by Iran comes after the country bound
to avenge the deaths of Hesbealah and AMAS leaders. Ellison
Barber in Tel Aviv.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
A former Israeli hostage negotiator, described it to me as
where they said, Okay, we'll go into the first wave
of a ceasefire agreement, and then we'll talk about the
possibility of whether or not this would be permanent or not.
So there's some different views on that, but Netanyahu in
his office in terms of saying whether or not they've
added new things, they're saying no. They were trying to
clarify it.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Any attack by Iran may risk disrupting ceasefire talks at
the US said we're in advanced stages. Prior to the
assassination of a Tappams leader in Tehran, i'm se Taylor.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
For States had key elections yesterday and Omar has managed
to break the losing streak for the squad. Tammy Trehilo
has the latest.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont, and Wisconsin all held their primary elections,
and Wisconsin Republicans shows Trump endorsed candidate Eric Hovdy to
run against Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin, who's running for a
third Senate term. In Minnesota. Progressive congresswoman il Han Omar
defended her seat against former Minneapolis City council member Don Samuels.

Speaker 7 (14:46):
We know it is joyful to want to live in
a peaceful and equitable world.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
The contest comes after two other members of the so
called progressive squad, Jamal Bowman and Corey Bush, lost their
Democratic primaries. This cycle untammaged your heo.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
What's the old Paula Abdul song? One step forward, two
steps back? Cigarette smoking in the United States is returning
to an eighty year low, and a new Gallup pole
released Tuesday, eleven percent of US adults said that they
had smoked cigarettes in the past week, eleven percent cigarettes
that match historic low's measured in twenty twenty two. The

(15:23):
smoking rate is now around half as large as it
was a decade ago. In nineteen forty four, the first
gallupole about cigarette smoking found itself around forty one percent. Unfortunately,
this story ends with the massive increase in vaping. But
that's not smoking, right. I guess we have football tomorrow night.

(15:45):
Did you know that Thursday night football they're gonna go
with knocking the Eagles and the Patriots. That'll be seven
o'clock tomorrow night. In baseball, the Dbacks won four to
three against the Rockies, Guardians two to one over the Cubbies.
That's one nine to three over the O's. Rays lost
three two to the Astros. Rangers lost nine four to
the Red Sox, Cardinals lost four to one to the Reds.

(16:07):
Mariners lost fifteen to one. How did the Mariners lose
fifteen to one to the Detroit Tigers. Well, the Yankees
lost of the White Sox earlier this week. I guess
it can happen. Birthdays today, boy, Steve Martin. Although I
look back, I think the jerk is still my favorite world.
Absolutely when the grandmother's reading the letter after he ran

(16:30):
after the search this chair in this ash tray and
that's it. But I do I enjoyed the New Show
with Martin. Short Steve Martin eighty years old today, NBA
great Magic Johnson, Oh, he and Larry Bird had some
great matchups sixty six years old today. Halle Berry is
fifty nine and former Titan head coach Mike Rabel forty
nine years old today. And if it's your birthday, Happy birthday.

(16:50):
We are so glad you were born. Hi, It's Michael,
your morning show can be heard live on great radio
stations across the country WYLM and w DOV and Willmon
and Dover, Delaware or wgst AM seven twenty the Voice
in Middle Georgia. We're going to need some blankets. News
Radio six fifty k e NI, Anchorage, Alaska. We'd love

(17:10):
to be a part of your morning routine. Now enjoy
the podcast. Thank you for waking up with your morning
show on the Aaron streaming live on your iHeart app.
I am Michael del Jorna. If you're just waking up.
US officials are on high alert for potential Iranian attack
in Israel. Vice President remember the famous Nancy Pelosi, We'll
have to pass it to find out what's in the bill.

(17:31):
Apparently you have to elect Kamala Harris almost before you
can find out exactly what you're gonna get. She's finally
gonna get around and telling you her economic policies on
Friday in North Carolina. And it's good to see Joe
Biden yesterday. I kind of miss him announcing his one
hundred and fifty. You know he's got the moonshot against cancer.
He was he was on the launch pad Rory yesterday

(17:52):
announcing one hundred and fifty more million dollars in federal
grants to fight cancer. And this is a huge story
the United Auto Workers. Why are they so mad at
Elina Musk and Donald Trump? They're going after him for
comments that were made that they, I guess believe amounted
to union busting. Roy o'neils here with that story. Good morning, Rory,
Next morning, Michael.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
This all goes back to the conversation that Elon Musk
and Donald Trump had on X and Spaces the other night.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
The UAW filing with the.

Speaker 8 (18:22):
National Labor Relations Board a federal labor violation accusation after
comments where Donald Trump praised Musk for allegedly firing all
the Twitter workers before they could vote to strike or unionize.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Didn't you bring this up yesterday? Yeah? I did? You did?
Didn't you or didn't?

Speaker 9 (18:42):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah? Because you said this was coming and it's here,
So tell me about these files. This is just kind
of like a well it's a charge, right, or how
does it work? It's nonsense. This is all just politics sense.

Speaker 8 (18:56):
So they're just trying to get headlines, So don't really
worry about anything coming of this. Instead, this is an
attempt by the UAW and Sean Fain to try to
put some pressure on Sean O'Brien, he's the head of
the Teamsters. Keep in mind, this is all happening about
labor the UAW. It's all about Michigan and electoral votes.

(19:17):
So remember that last month at the Republican National Convention
in Milwaukee, the head of the Teamsters spoke.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
At that convention' something never done before.

Speaker 8 (19:28):
Right now, the Teamsters have not endorsed anyone in this
presidential campaign, the UAW squarely behind Biden and now Harris.
So they're hoping to use this filing with the Labor
Relations Board to say, hey, teamsters, you know, show that
you are pro union and come along with us and
see Donald Trump and Elon Musker anti labor. So this

(19:51):
is an attempt to portray Trump as anti labor and
to force the hand of the Teamsters and get them
to endorse Harris.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Or as you said, both that's about Michigan and the
electoral college map. I thought it was interesting, you know
Vice presidential candidate Tim Walls, You know, this is the
guy that apparently got on the radar and maybe even
potentially got the job for coming up with calling the
other guys weird. He came out swinging against Donald Trump

(20:20):
as a criminal, swinging against j. D. Vance about you know,
being some ivy league elite and not a hardworking midwestern
or like the rest of us. You know, they throw
out a lot of attacks and then when somebody swipes back,
suddenly you know he's saying he'll defend his valor. And
you don't attack other people. You simply say thank you

(20:41):
for your service. But this is politics, and politics is ugly.
And his rank wasn't right on his bio. And there
are some that served with him that said he left
shortly before being deployed. I don't know. I guess Rory.
I get concerned. When is somebody going to focus on
my wife, my children, there future, us, we the people.

(21:03):
But the political nonsense continues. Did I miss any other
little fights that are going on.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
Yeah, I just say it's gonna get worse before it
gets better. In that you know, wait till the d
NC next week. You know, it's all just going to
be about them versus some of the issues you raised.
So I think we got what ten more days of
the self serving stuff, and then the reporters on the
on the campaign trail will be tired of the stump

(21:31):
speeches and they'll.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Need more and more and more. And you know, now
we'll see if they do decide to come forward.

Speaker 8 (21:37):
Either have some sort of a joint interview to get
Walls to answer these questions about the military record, to
get Vice President Harris to say, is there daylight between
her and Joe Biden?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Is it more the same?

Speaker 8 (21:48):
Does she, you know, have new ideas of her own
that she doesn't want to steal from Donald Trump?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Or you know, what is the plan?

Speaker 8 (21:55):
I know she's supposed to talk more about her economic
plan on Friday.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
I mean, it's just think of just in terms of
what a fascinating time we live this. Kamala Harris is
the Democratic presumptive nominee for President of the United States,
and she is yet to share anything about her I
went to the website. I couldn't find anything. There's there's
bio narratives, there's pictures, there's how to donate, how to

(22:18):
get t shirts, but you won't find any substantive stances
on any issue. She's already the presumptive nominee heading to
a convention as picture vice president, and she'll unveil her
economic policies Friday in North Carolina. You can't make that up.
How do you get there and not have had that
disgust already? These are very unique times we're living in,

(22:39):
that's for sure. All right, Ry, when you come back
next hour, we're gonna talk a little bit about the
ongoing inflation and this is gonna be It's gonna come
about eight thirty Eastern time, correct, And yeah, that is

(23:01):
could send the market? And what are we expecting? Do
we know? I didn't yesterday the PPI came in cooler
than expected.

Speaker 8 (23:08):
We were hopeful the CPI will do the same, and
then that will give the Fed clear clearance to start
to lower interest rates as early as next month.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
And that's eight thirty eastern. So by the time we talked,
we slay twenty. Yeah, Roory O'Neil, thanks for joining us,
all right, if you're just waking up one of our
big stories. Why does that do that?

Speaker 9 (23:25):
Now?

Speaker 1 (23:25):
I don't know how to I'm in a new studio
in Saint Louis. You showed me once how do I
get back to him? I thought, I thought Rory left
and then how are we going to do this without you? Tomorrow?
There was something else we hit. Wasn't it camera or

(23:46):
just the phone? Them? There we go. I think that's
all we do. We're trying to share two lines here
I got I'm getting for you. I'm getting the call,
waiting beep music to get us through. No, listen, I
love being here in Saint Louis. We've had no glitches

(24:06):
whatsoever except for this. And this is what allows you
to see me so which I don't know why you
need to see me anyway. Just feel me, Christine. We
just feel like I'm doing like the Phantom of the Opera.
See me me now? You should see me. Yeah, it's
even creep here. I don't know what happened. That's all good.

(24:28):
You know what we should do the rest of the week.
What would you like today? Just have them on the phone. Okay,
it's kind of nice to have them studio quality, all right,
if you're just waking up, these are your top five
stories of the day.

Speaker 9 (24:41):
Fun.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Now, let's move on right well, in doubt, never mind
the horses being blind, load the wagon. Vice President Kamala
Harris to unveil her economic policies in Raleigh, North Carolina
this Friday. Mark Mayfield has this story.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
It will be the first policy centered speech by the
Democratic presidential nominee since she entered the race for the
White House after President Biden withdrew. The Harris campaign said
the vice president will outline a plan to lower costs
for middle class families and to take on corporate price gouging.
Over the weekend, Harris said she supports eliminating taxes on tips,
a position also held by former President Trump.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
I'm Mark Mayfield. Well. Singers don't like it when you
use their song unauthorized in a candidate's campaign, and apparently
cops don't like you using their faith either. Brian shook
me all night long as our road to the White House.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Road to the White House twenty twenty four. A California
lawman is not happy about being featured in a new
Get Tough on Crime campaign ad for Vice President Kamala Harris.
To Larry County Sheriff, Mike Boudreau says the Democratic presidential
candidate did not get his permission to use him in
an ad that he says contradicts Harris's record on crime.

Speaker 9 (25:54):
And I wasn't comfortable with my image being there with
the appearents that that I'm standing there in support of
Kamala Harris for president.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
The images were from a press conference touting the takedown
of drug lords at the US Mexico border. Boudreau says
Harris showed up, spoke at the podium, and left without
shaking the hands of the law enforcement leaders responsible for
the drug bus in Washington. I'm Brian Shook.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walls says he's proud of
his military record. Lisa Taylor has that story.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Weals addressed the recent attacks on his military career from
the Trump campaign while in Los Angeles today.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
And I firmly believe you should never denigrate another.

Speaker 10 (26:34):
Person's service record, anyone brave enough to put on that
uniform for our great country, including my opponent. I just
have a few simple words, thank you for your service
and sacrifice.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance has suggested that Walt
inflated his credentials and that he abandoned his unit ahead
of its deployment who Iraq to avoid serving in a
war zone.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
I'm Lisa Taylor, and of course everyone else is just weird.
Voters headed the Paul in four states yesterday. Tammy Trehilo
has the results.

Speaker 6 (27:03):
Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont, and Wisconsin all held their primary elections.
In Wisconsin, Republicans shows Trump endorsed candidate Eric Hovdy to
run against Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin, who's running for a
third Senate term. In Minnesota, Progressive congresswoman il Han Omar
defended her seat against former Minneapolis City council member Don Samuels.

Speaker 7 (27:23):
We know it is joyful to want to live in
a peaceful and equitable world.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
The contest comes after two other members of the so
called progressive squad, Jamal Bowman and Corey Bush, lost their
Democratic primaries this cycle. I'm Tammy Truchuello.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
And as Meadloaf would say, two out of three eight bad.
The Olympic flag is in Los Angeles. I thought it
got there with Tom Cruise, but apparently it's officially there
now and the hard work begins, Michael Casner reports.

Speaker 11 (27:52):
Stacey Wasserman, chair of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee,
says reality is starting to set in.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
I think it's real.

Speaker 9 (28:00):
I mean, I think having the flag on board with us,
knowing that there no more. Oh well, Paris is first,
It's us and we're next.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
And the days are going to go quick doping cerays
and LA's going to be here before we know it.

Speaker 11 (28:11):
LA Mayor Karen Bass and a contingent of Olympic athletes
from southern California returned to LAX with the flag on
Monday afternoon. Also on the plane where members of the
US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, executives from LA twenty eight
and elected officials in Los Angeles. I'm Michael Cassenan. That's
your top five stories of the day.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
This is Shannon Gregory and my morning show is your
morning show with Michael de Organo.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Thanks for taking us along with you for the drive
to work. This is, after all your morning show. I'm
Michael del Jorno. Well, one of the things we're waking
up to is there are FBI investigations into the attempts
to hack into the campaigns of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris,
White House correspondent and Supreme Court bar attorney. Dear, you've

(29:01):
been following this story. You have the very latest. We
presume Iran, right.

Speaker 9 (29:06):
Yes, well, that's what the Trump campaign is suggesting, and
that is Iran is behind these cyber intrusions. As the
FBI calls them, but Iran has not yet been fingered
yet by the FBI. Is not to blame just yet.
That's why there's an investigation the FBI. As you know,

(29:26):
Michael has repeatedly, both in congressional testimony also in closed
door briefings to lawmakers warned about foreign countries meddling in
the upcoming election. And now we know about this apparent
hacking of the Trump campaign and also an effort to
gain access to the accounts of top Democrats.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
Now, the Harris.

Speaker 9 (29:46):
Campaign has put out a statement saying they were not hacked,
that all of their information is safe. Not the case
with the Trump campaign. Their campaign was indeed hacked through
this so called campaign cyber intrusion.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
So probably one of the more fascinating parts of this story.
And again it's only true today still Wednesday, August the fourteenth.
This could change. But you, as a White House correspondent,
you have to be as in awe of as I am.
That no one has released any of the information that
was hacked and shared. That may be your truest sign

(30:25):
that they expect this hacking to be on both sides.

Speaker 9 (30:29):
Well, there is some information that was released, and that
information we don't know if it is related to this
apparent hacking, potentially by Iran. That information has to do
with research what is being done, opposition research of a
potential vice presidential tick that ended up being Donald Trump's

(30:50):
running may pick, and that's JD. Vance And that information
that opposition research forwarded to a number of news organizations,
some of which chose not to publics that information, but
there could be additional information that was obtained. That's all
a part of the FBI's investigation. The spokesperson for the

(31:10):
Iranian government already putting out a statement, Michael, no surprise,
saying they in no way are seeking nor did they
speak to influence in any way the twenty twenty four
presidential campaign.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
But we don't, I mean, are you, because that would
have gotten by me. And I read a lot of
stuff and it's easy to get by me. There's just
too much information out there. But I was under the
impression heading into this morning show that so far no
news organization is released what was sent to them. There
are some things leaking or is it coming from news
sources or is it coming from other sources what.

Speaker 9 (31:45):
News organizations have put out there? Michael, And you're correct,
is that they receive email and email from an individual
not connected to the Trump campaign providing them with this
opposition research on JD. Evans things that could be used
potentially against JD. Vance down the road. And that's something

(32:06):
that campaigns typically do when they're vetting a candidate that
could potentially be on the ticket for the presidential candidate.
But as of now, no news organization has published that information.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Now, I would think that, you know, for those that
would look at the radio and go, well, they could
certainly share it with the Harris Walls team. Look, they've
already got the best strategists, the best you know, they're
going to know probably everything. The same things that in
vetting JD. Vance the Republicans found they are already aware of.

(32:38):
But I guess there's the potential they could certainly some
media outlet could share with those campaigns. But so far,
I think there's been a great restraint and responsibility that
has taken place with most of with the media so
far in not releasing because what you're really rewarding there
is the hackers, you know, in doing that.

Speaker 9 (32:57):
Well, that's right, you know, you think back to the
twenty sixteen residential election campaign cycle, that's when WikiLeaks released
emails related to the Clinton campaign. WikiLeaks, of course not
a news organization. That's the reason why they had no
qualms at all in releasing that information to the public,
and an investigation by the FBI determined it with Russia

(33:18):
that was behind that hack of the Clinton campaign. Here
the focus is Iran, But in closed door testimony, the
FBI Director and in public testimony the FBI Director has
warned repeatedly about this effort to meddle in our upcoming election,
singling out Iran, China, and Russia in particular.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
So we're still waiting on the FBI to investigate how
this twenty year old got on a roof and got
eight shots off. And now the FBI is trying to
figure out how, presumably according to the Trump campaign, Iran
hacked in and we're expecting I mean, we already have
a crazy election cycle. We don't need any outside crazy
to boot right.

Speaker 9 (34:00):
No, you're right, this is just an added element, not
anything new, because we've seen this in prior campaign presidential
election cycles. But you know, this is something that I
think both campaigns are on the lookout for, these fishing
expeditions so to speak, that happened and essentially telling their

(34:23):
staff be on the lookout for these and do not
click on anything that doesn't look like it's right.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
We're all in this together. This is your morning show
