Speaker 2 (00:24):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Because we're in this together.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
This is your Morning Show with Michael O'Dell Chorman.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
Seven minutes after the hour.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Welcome to Monday, September the fifteenth, twenty twenty five, on
the air, streaming live on your iHeartRadio app. It's our honor,
it's our pleasure to say good morning. We're here to
serve you if you're just waking up. A public memorial
for Charlie Kirk will take place Sunday inside State Farm
Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. That's where the Cardinals play football.
The man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk not really cooperating,
(00:58):
but his transgendered roommate lover is and vice president Vance
announcing he will host Charlie Kirk's show on Monday, and
Big News New York Governor Kathy Hokel is endorsing Zorron
Mom Donnie the Socialist or is it is longest anyway?
All of the programs that he is promising to do
(01:20):
would certainly be bankrupting to the state. It's an interesting endorsement,
to say the least. We'll talk more about that with
our All Things Republican analyst and consultant Chris Walker coming
up in the third hour. National Correspondent Rodney I just
made him Rodney. Rory O'Neil well has the latest on
the investigation into the assassination of Charlie Kirk, as well
(01:40):
as the story of those companies who have had to
discipline employees for making public comments, and that list continues
to grow as well.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Good morning, Rory, Yeah, good morning. That list is growing.
But I guess when it comes to the investigation. We
got a bit of an update from the Utah governor
on the Sunday shows this weekend, saying that everyone seems
to be cooperating in this guy's orbit, you know, the
family members, the partner, roommate, lover, whatever, all talking to
police and sharing their phones and messaging information.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Things like that.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
There's no evidence that the gunman had any accomplices, no
evidence that.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Anyone he knew was aware of what he was plotting
to do. Either.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
We're going to learn a lot more tomorrow when the
charging documents in the case were released.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, and we expect that tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
I was just looking over the Washington Post, for example,
Tyler Robinson twenty two has leftist ideology, and Governor Cox
made it clear he had been indoctrinated online, and then
he went on to talk about social media being a cancer.
But you know, then it goes on to say political
leaders are pulling back from public appearances and fear and
(02:48):
workers are getting fired for their post Kirk, social media
has rewired for a new generation of politics. And then
it says, motive still unclear. You know, That's what it's interesting.
The motive seems to be clear, and it seems to
be very similar to Minneapolis. The target difference. In Minneapolis,
they just targeted and its children. But it was clearly
(03:11):
transgendered base. Is that not a clear motive in this Well, what's.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
The motive in transgender?
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Then obviously he didn't like Charlie Kirk's stance against transgender,
calling it what it is, and his Live in Lover
was transgendered. Now, I don't know if in defense of
his Live in Lover he got indoctrinated online, but I mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
It just seems odd to act like we don't.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
First of all, I want to say this, Rory, you know,
I'm not playing many clips from Erica Kirk's announcement on
Friday because she made constant references to they and those
who did this.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Now we know who did it.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
It's a twenty two year old, and for me, I
wouldn't allow the left to get away with this. Not
everybody's Charlie Kirk. An individual shot Charlie Kirk. I don't
see any conspiracy that he was hired by a leftist
organization or a political party. So I'm going to assume
the twenty two year old, and the minute I assumed
the twenty two year old, which I think the evidence
is overwhelming, transgender has to be a top motive right now,
(04:20):
or I'm not wired.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Right, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Well, I would just say let's see what the documents
tell us tomorrow, and then I would also say that
there was also a word of a note being left behind.
We haven't gotten that confirmation, so it might be more
clearly spelled out there. But yeah, I don't know what
specific things that Charlie was advocating when it comes to
the transgender issues. I don't know if it got more
(04:44):
specific than transgenders are sort of a broad thing to say,
so I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
If they say I don't want to speak a specific motive,
do I have thirty seconds or no?
Speaker 3 (04:52):
You do? Sure?
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Okay, I don't want to speak for Charlie, because Charlie
was very eloquent and very in depth, and he did
so in a great measure of love. He was just
honest and debating. The two biggest things would be you
have a right to be transgendered, You don't have a
right to indoctor and need small children. And I don't
think you have a right to have surgeries permanent surgeries.
Prior to eighteen that would have been a stance, And
(05:15):
he clearly took a stance against biological males competing against
girls or being in close proximity to girls in locker rooms.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
So a pretty.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Reasonable position, not a threatening position by any means, not
nearly as threatening as the solution being taking his life
or saying that.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
But so, I mean, to me, I'm curious.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
I hope there is a note there, some sort of
explanation to try to give us some answers in trying
to find a logic here, which is our failing because
there is no logic in these things.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Right, No, absolutely, it's just it's just heinous, all right.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
So where he's gonna be back in the third hour,
we're going to talk a little bit more about any updates.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
I think that's very interesting you bring up a note.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
I wonder if the intention was to take Charlie's life,
as so often as the case, and then take his own,
and he chose not to because that would be new
to me. It looked like he really thought he could
get in there, commit the assassination and get home, which
he did. But it's twenty twenty five and you can't
(06:19):
get anywhere and get away, and you certainly can't make
mistakes like not wearing gloves, not wearing a mask where
even your father can be notified look at the picture
and then turn you in. So yeah, I think that's
one of the early questions.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Motive.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
I mean, I don't want to I'm not trying to
incite anything. I'm just trying to understand. I think in
the case of Minneapolis, Nashville, Minneapolis, in here it points
to transgenderism. Now, all of them have different nuances. Minneapolis,
(06:56):
after watching that twenty minute video, I'm convinced that kid
had demonic issues.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I think that.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
I mean, we played the utterances, but when his camera
pans and comes to Christ and he has a picture
of Jesus as in the bullseye of a target, and
the grunting noises he makes and the creepy kind of
giggle sounded demonic to me. So I think that kid
in Minneapolis was a evil b felt betrayed and duped
(07:27):
into being transgendered and was miserable what he was screaming
out as he was mentally ill. Now why he chose
and he laser chose, and it's throughout the twenty minute video.
I don't think any letter can match that twenty minute video.
He was pretty clear on what his motive was and
(07:53):
who he was choosing to take it out on children.
I don't know why he was so fixated on harming
innocent children. Now, I am not a psychiatrist and I'm
not even married to when I'm married to a lawyer.
But when I read that, my discernment, if you will,
(08:14):
with no expertise, was he once felt like an innocent
child and then he was duped, in his words, duped
into being transgendered and was miserable, regretted it and didn't
want to live anymore rather than just take his life
in his twisted mind. Again, there's where mental illness and
evil comes in. He targeted children. I don't like to
(08:40):
rush to judgment, but I don't think I am based
on what this person by writing on the weapon etching
and etching onto the weapons and the things that were
etched onto those weapons, and then now knowing that he
has a live in transgendered man transitioning to woman, well
(09:04):
that's enough relatability to the Minneapolis shooter.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
And his target, Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Who took a stance and was convincing and awakening an
entire generation.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
But here's where the push comes to shove.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
If you are transgendered, the question for the psychiatric community
is were you right for decades determining this as a
mental illness or are you right now being forced into
backing away from that and affirming it and how's that
(09:41):
working out, because that's the real question moving forward in
terms of transgenderism. And you won't hear me say because
I don't know, but somebody needs to look at this.
Not all transgenders will go out and kill someone, but
here's three in a row, and it's worth exploring that
(10:04):
the proclivity is there, or maybe we need to take
another look at how we once classified it versus how
we now classify it. But the one thing I feel
pretty confident at fifteen minutes after the hour on Monday,
this particular twenty two year old shooter with a furry fixation,
(10:31):
had a live in lover, not a roommate, a living
lover who was transgendered, and clearly had a problem with
the stances Charlie Kirk was taking on campuses on transgenderism
and felt justice was to silence him and kill him.
And I don't doubt that he found plenty of ammunition online,
(10:54):
which is why in the five o'clock hour, I keep
bringing this up, and I'm going to keep bringing it
up like I keep bringing up the matrix, like I
keep bringing up the death of journalism. Part of the
reason we are so polarized in this country is because
all we have is twenty four hour news entertainment on
the extremes, right extreme and left extreme, and nothing down
(11:17):
the middle. And the networks are left extreme, nothing down
the middle, and nobody's even watching network television, nor are
they really, quite frankly, no offense watching local news or
reading local newspapers.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
So where are they getting their information? We know.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
From extreme television on cable and social media. No wonder
Governor Cox is calling it a cancer. You haven't solved
the social dilemma. You haven't solved the matrix, and I
fear you won't be able to solve this. The other
thing we looked at was the last time we were
here in sixty eight and three, things happen, probably the biggest,
(11:59):
and this could be the way this turns a hippie
generation turned into a Jesus movement, turned into a cultural
awakening and a spiritual revival that had a lot to
do with how we went from the tumultuous late sixties
and the murdering and assassinations and rioting to peace. The
(12:20):
other was Nixon refusing to talk to the left or
the right, but assuming the majority of Americans were in
the center and that was the only one he was
interested in talking to a lot of people think that
doubtsed it. Third was we were seeing it so graphically
on television. We just got tired of the pain and
the anguish. I don't think anbody's going to talk to
(12:45):
the center. I think they're trying to, they won't stick
to it. But none of them, including the leading up
to the Civil War in the eighteen fifties, had the
dilemma of social media and the internet. And if Governor
Cox is right and it's a cancer, are we even
going to explore a cure?
Speaker 2 (13:06):
This is Your Morning Show with Michael del Chuna.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
We had a memorial vigil at the Kennedy Center, of
which Telsea Gabbard RFK Jr. Speaker Johnson All spoke at
RFK Junior quite poignantly as someone who lost a father
and an uncle to assassination. You'll hear that in our
Sounds of the Day coming up. The man accused of
assassinating Charlie Kirk is a furry or had a furry fixation.
(13:34):
His roommate was actually his lover and transitioning, so living
with a transgender he himself a furry. Try to keep
up jd Vance. I thought of Red when I saw this.
First of all, jd Vance is the Vice President of
(13:55):
the United States. He can't take over the Charlie Kirk Show.
But I think he's going to honor him by hosting
the show on Monday, Monday only. But Red actually believes
that Charlie Charlie Kirk's replacement for the person best suited
to take his place is jd Vance.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
I would also throw in Vivek Ramaswami.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
And who has appeared with Charlie on campuses, but that
would be somebody that's that quick that could do it.
But how about the third the one that started it
all with him, Candice Owen. But Charlie Kirk's show will
be hosted today by the Vice President of the United States.
His memorial service public memorial service will actually be Sunday
(14:39):
at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Meanwhile, the President
has said he is considering and will send National Guard
troops to Memphis as part of the crackdown on crime
and illegal immigration. And Governor Hochel has endorsed Zorn Mamdani
after all in the New York City Maryor's race. So
now the govern of New York is giving a full
(15:02):
out endorsement, not for the previous governor, but for a
socialist for sure, potentially and Islamist with a lot of
promised programs that I don't know where she's going to
find the money to pay for it. The Emmy's Last Night,
the Studio, HBO, Adolescens, the Pit and Severance, all the
big winners.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
What's interesting about that.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
One person in an acceptance speech said something to the
effect of, well, as long as we still call it
the Emmys for television, we got a shot. Well, that's
just ignorant of how technology has moved on. The Oscars
is still for big screen film, and the Emmes is
still for television. The problem is nobody's watching ABC, NBCCBS
(15:47):
or PBS. They're all watching Amazon, Prime, Netflix, Apple, And
I can't remember who was it said, you know that's
going to go the way of Miss America.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
No, it's not.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
In fact, the Emmys goes at even the Oscars, because
the Emmys is the only awards show that's actually giving
awards to things we've seen. I can't wait to see
what the Emmy Awards ratings would be. And Nate Bargotzi
did a great job hosting.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
I'm actor jeff E Howard and my morning show is
your Morning Show with Michael Del Jorno aka Pizza Boy.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Hi, it's Michael.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Your Morning show can be heard weekday mornings in great
cities like Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Memphis, in Nashville, Tennessee,
and we got you covered in California, San Diego, Los Angeles,
San Francisco, Sacramento. We'd love to be a part of
your morning routine or thrilled you here now enjoy the podcast.
We'd have two Monday night football games tonight. Early we
(16:52):
have Tampa. We'll be taking on the Texans. That should
be a really good matchup, and then the Chargers and
the Raiders late night to Monday night football games for
you tonight. The Emmy Awards were Last Night, Studio, Adolescence,
the Pit in Severance, all the big winners. Kathy Hochel
is endorsing Zorn Mom Donnie in the New.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
York City mayor's race.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
That'll be interesting to kick around with Chris Walker or
your morning show contributor and a Republican consultant.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
That's a lot to endorse.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
The socialist and not a previous governor, let alone a
potential Islamist, and the President is talking about setting the
National Guard into Memphis. And again we went over the
list of violent crimes by city, and we were trying
to convey to people, this isn't a New York City, Chicago, La.
Only story there or other your Morning show. Cities like Memphis,
(17:49):
like Tulsa, like Saint Louis, Nashville, for goodness six a
little too high on the list, and most people's so
the President kicking that around.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Obviously, the mayor of Memphis is not interested.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Thirty seven minutes after the hour, White House correspondent John
Decker is joining us for tracking the investigation into the
murder of Charlie Kirk. He has the latest reaction from
both Washington and the President. Well, I guess now we
know officially the memorial service will be in Glendale on
Sunday at State Farm Stadium, and I presume the President
(18:25):
will be there, and the only thing in question is
is that when the Medal of Freedom will be awarded.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Good morning, John, Yeah, that's a good good morning. That's
a very good question. I also assume the Vice President
will be there as well, but we haven't had words
from the Vice President's office on that It's rare that
you'd have the Vice president and president at the same
type of event, but this was a rare occasion. And
it's one of those situations where both Donald Trump and JD.
(18:51):
Vans had a very close relationship with everybody involved here,
including the widow and who spoke on Friday after or
your show went off the air. So this is something
that the administration is following very closely, and it's going
to be in the news all this week leading up
to that funeral on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
One thing that was I thought an interesting story was
that Governor Cox said the President called him and in essence,
and I don't want to appear to be overly dramatic,
but in essence said, this could go either way. This
could escalate into something really bad. We need a Robert
Kennedy's speech like the night MLK was assassinated. And boy
(19:34):
did Robert Kennedy deliver in that speech. And boyd did
Spencer Cox. That makes everything he said on that first
night makes so much sense. To be called upon as
a governor by the president to calm a country, and
boy did he do it well?
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Oh he did. I agree with you.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
And since that time, he's done many interviews on television
regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and you know, he
just has the right tone. It's one of those situations
where you have a public figure really not only rising
to the occasion, but just surpassing the moment.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
And that's a good thing for his state of Utah.
Speaker 5 (20:16):
It's a good thing for our country as well, to
see public servants, public figures acting in that manner, trying
to lower the temperature of what exists right now in
our country.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
This isn't how I wanted to meet him, so to speak,
in the public eye, but I'm glad I did. Utah
is very lucky to have a governor like that, and
we were lucky as a nation to have him. All right,
the motive is still being treated as unclear, and again
I get the big picture, you know, I've heard everything
from well the inscriptions for fascism that may have been
(20:51):
directed at Trump, but that's not an easy target. Kirk
may have been an easier one. He's living with a
transgender you know, and that's transgendered, so that's a potential motive.
I'm trying to think of what it could be. You know,
it's kind of like when sir Han Surhan killed Robert F. Kennedy. Well,
clearly was Israel. Clearly it may have been the first.
(21:14):
It may have been a terrorist attack that took out
a likely next president, and yet we don't view it
that way. Is it important, John, that we get the
motive right? And will we ever?
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Yeah, Well, we do.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
Know that the suspect who's in custody, who likely will
be facing state charges that will be announced as early
as tomorrow, is not cooperating. According to the Governor of Utah,
he's not cooperating with authorities.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
So whether we get the.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
Motive from him directly or through his electronic devices, we're
going to learn more, There's no doubt about it. We're
going to learn more through law enforcement, not only as
they scour those electronic devices, but also speak to people
that know this suspect and have dealt with this ut
So I think that you just have to be patient
(22:03):
in terms of not wanting to jump to any conclusion,
not wanting to go out there and speculate, just wait
as the process plays itself out.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah, we get from the family, we get from Governor Cox,
Internet's the cancer social media, he was brainwashed, impacted, incited.
We know from the inscriptions fascism was big. That could
point to internet and to Trump his life points of course,
to transgenderism. So we just don't know. We've got to
be patient, all right, Appreciate it very much, John. What
(22:33):
can we expect throughout the week?
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Anything? Anything big?
Speaker 1 (22:36):
And next, I think the local endorsement is huge, and
I think the President considering sending the National Guard into Memphis.
Now you're not talking New York, Baltimore, Chicago, LA. Now
you're talking about a mid you know, the middle of
the country, southern city that is in a red state.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
In essence, that's that makes it.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Really well, Bill says, the governor of Billie has come
on in, you know, bring down the crime rate in Memphis.
But beyond that, beyond that particular story that you just mentioned,
the President is traveling tomorrow to the UK. He'll be
there Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of this week for a state visit.
So I'm sure the President will make a lot of
news while he's over there. So I'll keep my eye
(23:20):
on that as the President in Barklan his second state
visit to the UK, and.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I encourage people to keep an eye on you the
White House briefing Room with John Decker. It'll be up
in podcast form and about oh three hours or so
from now, and you can hear more from John there
fi Good morning, forty two minutes after the hour, eighteen
minutes to me to work on time. If you're in
the Eastern time zone. These are your top five stories
of the day. I'm memorial service for conservative activist.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Charlie Kirk will be held Sunday.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
Turning Point USA announced Building a Legacy Remembering Charlie Kirk
will take place in Arizona, Morgan Chesty with the tales
from Phoenix.
Speaker 7 (23:58):
We inticipate formal charges in a this Tuesday, and among
those charges aggravated murder. In the meantime, a public memorial
has now been scheduled for Charlie Kirk next week in
Arizona at State Farm Stadium or capacity is sixty thousand.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Vice President JD.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Vance escort at Kirk's casket back to Phoenix on Air
Force two on Thursday. Kirk was shot and killed while
speaking at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University. Wednesday.
The memorial service will be open to the public. I'm
Lisa Taylor Alrighty at the Kennedy Center a memorial vigil
for Charlie Kirk. Telsey Gabbard, RFK Junior and Speaker Johnson
calling on lawmakers to turn down the rhetoric following the
(24:35):
assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 8 (24:38):
Johnson told Fox New Sunday that his colleagues have an
obligation to set a different tone in political conversations.
Speaker 9 (24:44):
You can't call the other side fascists and enemies of
the state and not understand that there are some deranged
people in our society who will take that as cues
to act and do crazy and dangerous things.
Speaker 8 (24:57):
He also added that the shooting should not stop public discourse,
but instead serve as an opportunity to move it forward
and advance conversations. Kirk was shot and killed while speaking
at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
I'm Lisa Carton, a sitcom set in post Alta, Dina,
California fire region getting a lot of backlash less than
a year after the deadly blaze.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Tammy Trichio has details.
Speaker 10 (25:24):
The proposed show follows two estranged brothers forced to live
together after their late grandmother's house becomes entangled with the caretaker.
Many local residents and fire survivors criticize the project as insensitive,
saying it trivializes recent trauma. Some social media users say
the show was greenlit too soon and lacks community involvement.
A few locals hope the show will include Altadena consultants
(25:46):
and support the community through proceeds. I'm Tammy Tricheo.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
The Studio is this year's Emmy winner for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Speaker 11 (25:53):
You watched our show, If you appreciated our show, if
you voted for our show, especially, thank.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
You very much.
Speaker 11 (25:59):
I'm legitimately embarrassed by how happy this makes me and
to be standing up here with all these people. These
are the best.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
People I know.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
And Seth Rogan accepted the award on behalf of the team.
At the seventy seventh Emmy Awards. The series received twenty
three nominations this year and all, which is a tie
for the record for most nominations in a single year
by a comedy. The Studio, Adolescence, the Pit in Severn's

(27:31):
coming up. Doctors call it weight cycling. Half of Americans
do it, and if you do it enough, you're at
risk of diabetes, liver damage, heart attack, and stroke yo yoing.
Weight cycling, whatever you call it, it's when you lose
like ten pounds or so, only to gain it back,
lose it again, gain it back, and then some more.
Puts tremendous strain on your organs and leads to serious

health issues. Bottom line, most people need help with weight cycling,
and here's a great way, non prescript Lean created by doctors.

the science is impressive. It's studied ingredients target weight loss
in three powerful ways. Lean helps you maintain healthy blood sugar,
(28:13):
helps you control appetite and cravings, and it helps burn
fat by converting it into energy. That's where the feeling
great comes in. I'm speaking to my daughters who have
stole my lean and taken it to college with them,
or to Jeffrey who takes it and then is wired
all morning long.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
No, I'm kidding.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
That's it makes you feel great. You lose weight and
you keep it off at a steady rate. It's amazing.
We all take it. We think you'll love. It'll be
a great solution for you if you'll want to lose
meaningful weight at a healthy pace and keep it off.
Add Lean to your diet, exercise lifestyle. Get twenty percent off.
Now when you enter yms that stands for your morning show.
(28:53):
Enter yms at takelean dot com. That's Takelean dot com
yms for twenty percent it all.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
It's your morning show with Michael del Chano.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Thanks for waking up with your morning show. I should
dig up the lyrics of the Amy Grant song It
was the same Sun that Warms Our days, Harden's Clay hit,
all these different takes, and what it's pointing out is
(29:29):
everything that you see that can be good can also
be used for bad. So one of the dilemmas we
have right now is who do we blame all this song?
Because I think it's a fool's Errand even though I
would say all of the above, it's a fool's errand
to just focus on, well, it's the rhetoric and we
need to tone it down, but they won't.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
It takes love to overcome hate. Anybody telling you to.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Love your neighbors, yourself, and how good are you going
to be at it without the Creator in your life
and in your heart.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
The Internet is certainly a cancer. I get it.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
It's not good for young people to be consuming. It's
not good to be doing it right before sleep, not
good to miss sleep. If you ever googled healthy hours
of sleep, and you will see. For infants and toddlers
it's over twelve hours a day you're supposed to be sleeping.
(30:38):
For teenagers it's over ten hours a day. It varies
by age, but whether you're old or young, you're not
meant to be scrolling right up until bedtime. And if
you don't sleep properly, I got news for you. That's
even worse than not exercising, not eating right, smoking and
other things. It's damaging. Problem is the Internet is designed
(31:03):
to capture your attention and keep you coming and staying
longer and longer. Now, the effects of doing that can
become narcissism, can become a fixation to fill your loneliness,
and it can also create your loneliness.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
This is complex stuff. But go back to the algorithms.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Because it's easy to point a finger at Facebook, it's
easy to point a finger at X or any of
these others, or even porn for that matter, But nobody's
addressing the dangers of porn or porn addiction. The problem
(31:55):
is the hearts that are choosing to consume it in
such a way. So these algorithms are designed to get
you to come often, stay longer. And if those algorithms
figure out that by dividing us, we spend more time here,
(32:17):
they're just gonna pump out and they're gonna work. I
once joked, and I wasn't joking, but I commented, I
guess I would say, think of how much this phone
does Satan's work for him. Brings all the evil you
want right to your hand, brings all the filth right
(32:39):
to your hand, brings all the anger and division right
to your hand. And the reality is, or what they
didn't factor in, television would die, Radio would be harmed,
that cable television would just become the wild wild left
and the wild wile right, and there would be no
center left. These are a big problem. That's a symptom
(33:05):
that happened in Utah. You had even gotten to the disease.
And while I agree, one of the big ones is
the social dilemma. You gotta solve it, the matrix. You
gotta solve it. Abandoning God and replacing it with theories,
theories that are failing before our eyes and manifesting destructive fruits. Well,
(33:32):
we don't know what a family is. We don't know
what a boy is, we don't know what a girl is,
we don't know what a republic is. The big problem.
And then just for a finale, you see, it used
(33:53):
to be in Washington, and this used to make me sick.
These politicians who act like they're serving you or serving themselves,
drunk on power, drunk on alcohol, drunk on women, and
they give these fiery speeches and.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
Then they all go and have dinner together and laugh.
That's what Washington used to be like.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
Then the Internet came and we all took on all
the bitter fights, but we did it for real.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
You know.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
Kind of reminds me when you know you'd watch wrestling
and if you refuse to see the fakeness of it,
you start wrestling with your friends and beating them over
the head.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
With chairs and somebody really gets hurt. Not that real
wrestlers don't get hurt, because they do too. So now we're.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Obsessed with playing politics to the death, and it turns
out it's the death of a republic.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
And now the politicians who are trying to tell us to.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Calm down, they can't calm down. Now they're fighting for real.
Take some kind of miraculous turning point, won't it. Maybe
this is it, or maybe it's the beginning of something worse.
And that's the problem. That's the uncertainty. We don't know
(35:14):
which yet, do we.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
We're all in this together. This is Your Morning Show
with Michael ndel Joo.
