Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, gang, it's me Michael. You can listen to your
morning show live. Make us a part of your morning
routine or your drive to work companion on great stations
like Talk Radio ninety eight point three and fifteen ten
WLAC in Nashville, Tupoulos News and Talk one oh one
point one and ten sixty WKMQ, and how about Talk
six fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California. Love to have you
(00:21):
listen live, but are grateful you're here now for the
podcast Enjoy.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
One two three, starting your morning off right. A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Because we're in this together. This is your.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Morning show with Michael O'Dell Charny.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Well, if we're all in this together, guess what we're
all witnessing history together. AMAS is released all hostages part
of the newly negotiated peace deal. The President of the
United States is in Israel. He's sitting at the Knesset
preparing a to give a speech. This is all happening
(01:02):
live at what is one oh five pm in Jerusalem.
Good morning, and welcome to Monday, October, the thirteenth year
of Our Lord.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
We first got seven hostages this is what happened to
all while you were asleep in the middle of the night.
First we got seven hostages released. Then we got the
full list of all twenty hostages that are alive. By
the way, can somebody say time out, because that's as
(01:36):
I entered today, because you never know till you know, right.
Could Donald Trump be flying to Israel talking about whether
or not he's going to go to heaven some of
the other crazy things.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
That came up in flight, which I'd like.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
To get a hold of the president explain to him
the gospel and how it works. It's not about how
you live, it's about how you believe Christ lived, perfectly, died,
and resurrected. But that's another story. Enough of Ephesians chapter two.
But it is my grace you have been saying. Then
we got the list of the twenty hostages, but you
(02:13):
know nothing until when I saw the first seven, and
then I was like, all right, this is a go
this is gonna happen. Still waiting on the other thirteen,
and I thought, oh, and at that point, because nobody
really knew for sure how many were still alive, most
of course were killed. And then the remaining thirteen came out,
(02:36):
and then the names of all twenty came out, and
now the president is standing up getting the reception in
Israel from outside celebrating to inside the kanessset. It's pretty historic. Well,
you know it's historic when even Hillary Clinton is praising him. Right,
Israel erupts enjoy as the living hostages are released after
(02:59):
seven undred and thirty eight days underground in tunnels in
the Gaza. You know, probably your first question would be
what are these people up against. Haguy Levigne is the
head of the health team for the hostages on behalf
of the Missing Families Forum, and here's just a little
(03:20):
bit of what he said about what the transition will
be like.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
The loss of vitamins and the epadimas. It's very impactful
on the different body systems like the kidneys, the brain,
the house, the lungs.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, pretty much every organ and when you get to
the brain emotionally of what they've been through. So there's
a lot of head for these twenty Pardon me, but
praise God, they are free. The names included bar Abraham Cooperstein, Ivetai, David,
Josef Klaim, Ohanna, Sergei Calfon, Avatan Or al Kana, Babut, Maxim, Hurricane,
(04:07):
Nimrod Cohen, Matan, Agrest, Matan, Zagare, Ayton, horn Aton, Abraham Moore, Gotali, Burman,
Ziv Berman, Omar Murhran, Olan, Oler, Guy, Golbert de La
Ram Bravoski, Ario Connello, and David Connello. The reason I
(04:31):
read those names is I don't know there was still
some uncertain if there were any living Americans.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Right in the.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Perception was that perhaps there was one living left. None
of those names necessarily sound American to me, so I
don't know whether to read into that. But and now
the difficult part for the remaining twenty eight hostages who
died in captivity, and there is some uncertainty as to
whether or not Hamas can locate where all of them are.
(05:03):
And remember we were hoping there'd be twenty living and
there are. We were hoping they would legitimately free them,
and they have.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Also, this would be a very interesting question. I don't
if the president or anybody's going to address this today.
At what point Israel releases the Palestinian hostages and they're
over a thousand, do they wait for these twenty eight
bodies now before that, because those twenty eight bodies are
very important for closure for those families. But right now
(05:35):
we're celebrating life. They're celebrating life in Jerusalem, out in
the streets. It's I guess, you know, I don't want
to say, I don't want to use the analogy of profit,
but you know what they say.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
A prophet is never accepted in his home.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Donald Trump, never other than his own rallies in the matrix,
gets to have any real celebration or praise from his
own country. But this is across the board, a grateful
nation in Israel. And it's really something to see if
you're up early this morning in other news, not that
there's anything that even compares, but even.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
More amazing though, Michael, he was praised in Gaza, praised
in Gaza.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
He's sitting in the Kanesset being praised by all of Israel.
Why even later in the sounds of the day, Hillary
Clinton had some praise for him, which you know, by
the way, I know that sounds like so talk radio.
That's so important that this starts becoming normal again. You know,
I love that line. I must have repeated it three times.
(06:39):
I did not really appreciate the strategy of Pam BONDI
being combative. I think you sit there, you answer the question,
You let them have their tie raids, you let them
have their little, you know, tantrums. You let the Republican
members of a committee defend you, and you just sit there.
(07:01):
But this is different, this Trump cabinet. They like to
dish it out. So I'm not a big fan of that.
But one line she had I was a big fan
of when she told Dick Derbin, I wish you loved
America as much as you hate the president. There's a
lot of that in America, and that can be reversed
and pointed at us too when somebody like Barack Obama's
(07:23):
president Joe Biden, I don't ever believe was president. But
you know, if they're doing something that you disagree with,
you're free to say it. When they do something that's good,
you ought to be willing to say it. You ought
to be allowed to say it.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I said.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
And this is when all this stuff got really dysfunctional.
It's back when Hillary was running against Donald Trump, and
at this point thought she was gonna win easy. The
media thought she was going to win easy. Perhaps you
even thought she was gonna win easy. I feared she
was going to easy, all right. So she was talking
(08:04):
to somebody, and I want to say. The conversation was,
is your loyalty to being a democrat, in other words,
the party platform, or to being a progressive? And she
went through a laundry list, and I thought it was
so fascinating. And it started with first and foremost, I'm
(08:29):
a Democrat, then I'm a progressive.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Then I am a this, I'm a that, I'm a this,
I'm a that.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
I mean, I can't tell you how low down the
list was, wife, mother. You know, because you can tell
a lot of people by their priorities, you can tell
a lot about yourself by your priorities. If you sit
down with a piece of paper and you're honest, what's
the most important thing in your life.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
And put them in order.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
And if you don't like the way that order looks
on paper, change the order in your heart. And I
promise you there's nothing that will change your life more remarkably.
Relief from stress is number one. You're gonna drink, you're
gonna smoke, You're gonna choose some gummies. If number one
(09:15):
en list is God, what if number one list is marriage,
then children.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Than God.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
How did that impact the kind of husband and father
you were? So the rules for everything, which are our beliefs,
and then the values themselves being in the right order
is everything. But it was just so revealing, And when
you think about it, it was our first glimpse of
the of the matrix to come. It should not be uncomfortable,
(09:48):
It should not be newsworthy, let alone a top story
that a former candidate, a former secretary of State, and
a former first Lady acknowledge that this is an amazing
accomplishment for the President of the United States. But do
you know in the matrix half the country won't. You're
(10:11):
watching ABC, NBCCBS, The Atlantic, the Washington Post, the New
York they won't. There is something that I think Red
would want you to note. This is a good thing.
Peace over war is a good thing. Hostages returning to
their families in whatever condition they're in is a good thing.
(10:36):
Even bodies returning to families for closure is a good thing.
The potential and the hope for peace, no matter how
long lasting, but actually lasting peace this is you know,
this isn't the definition of insanity. If this moves forward
with a harmasless terrorist lists Palestine and with Arab and
(11:01):
reasonable Muslim nations overseeing that, and then the rebuilding, the
establishment of peace and prosperity.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
This could be lasting peace.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
How lasting I don't know, but no matter how you
cut it, today is better than yesterday. And today happens
with Hezbollah, Hamas, the who thies Aroan all tremendously weakened.
Now if your only good reason for not praising that
is well, I'm a democrat and I can't. Then I
(11:36):
wish you loved America as much as you hate Trump,
but for all of Israel, and it should be all
of America, a great sense of joy and pride. President
is in Jerusalem, all the hostages that are living or freed.
We're waiting on those who may have died and if
they can be found and the remains returned.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
And we're waiting on the President to.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Deliver a speech from the Kanesset inside the Parliament of Israel.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
That makes this a very historic Monday.
Speaker 1 (12:04):

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I think, we know what the top story of the
day is going to be.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
All twenty remaining living Israeli hostages have been released by Hamas.
Doctor Hugai Levine is the head of the health team
for the Hostages and Missing Families Forum. He says it's
believed the hostages were all held underground and that brings
with it a whole different set of health challenges.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
The maman, the loss of vitamins and theadims. It's very
impactful on the different body systems like the kidneys, de
bruin the house the lungs.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Arrangements are also being made for Israel to receive the
bodies of the twenty eight hostages who died in captivity,
although there are reports that potentially Hamas does not know
the location of all those bodies, and it still remains
a question marked to the Palestinian hostage at Israeli leaders
are going to be releasing are they released prior to
(14:41):
or not until these twenty eight bodies. Meanwhile, President Trump
is in Jerusalem sitting in the Kanesset preparing to deliver remarks.
Healthcare remains a major sticking point for the Democrat lawmakers
as the ongoing shutdown is set to drag into another week.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Mark Mayfield has more.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Hew's minority leader, Hakimjjeffries, told Fox News Sunday that Republicans
think it's an extraneous issue, while Democrats believe it's essential
for millions of Americans to be able to afford to
go see a doctor. Jeffrey's comments come at a court
filing show the Trump administration has begun laying off thousands
of federal workers. He Sentate has not set to vote
again on measures to ending government shutdown until Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
I'm Mark Neyfield, IVYDTNA, who has just derived and he's
delivering his remarks as we speak. Just an update this
is all unfolding live in Jerusalem. Police in South Carolina
are investigating a mass shooting at a crowded bar on
Saturday night.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office as at least four people
are dead and twenty others injured after gunfire erupted at
Willie's Bar and Grill on Saint Helena Island, that's about
fifty miles north of Savannah, Georgia. Deputies found four people
dead at the scene and several others were taken to
the hospital in critical condition. No arrests were reported, and
the motive for the shooting unclear. I'm Lisa Carton.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
On Saturday, actress Diane Keaton died at her Los Angeles home.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Phil Ferrar has more.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
Keaton shot to fame on the big screen in nineteen
seventy two when she was cast in the first Godfather.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Movie, Michael, Why did you come here?
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Why?
Speaker 7 (16:08):
Five years later, the film that made her an icon,
You played.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Very well, Oh yeah, so do you? Oh God?
Speaker 7 (16:16):
That was in a scene with Woody Allen and Annie Hall.
She won an Academy Award for that role in nineteen
seventy seven.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
I'm Phil for Arar Today is Columbus Day, the anniversary
of Christopher Columbus. My dad always called them Columbo. He
also called the sixteenth President Abraham Linguini. I think he
was trying to embellish on our Italian heritage. Christopher Columbus's
arrival to the Americas.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Tabby Trio has the story.
Speaker 8 (16:40):
Today is Columbus Day, a national holiday celebrating the Italian
explorer who sailed the Ocean Blue more than five hundred
years ago. In observance, most federal offices, banks and post
offices will be closed. The holiday comes with much controversy.
In Hawaii, the second Monday in October is known as
Discoverer's Day, while at the same time, more and more
places are celebrating Indigenous People's Day to honor the Native
(17:03):
Americans that were killed during European colonialism. I'm Tammy Trhio.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
He didn't know that he discovered wokeness along with the Americas. Does.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
First Blood is drawn by the Mariners, taking Game one
three to one over the Blue Jays. Game two today

the Lions fell to four and two, losing to the

Speaker 9 (17:35):
Hi, this is so and so from such and such,
and my morning show is your morning show with Michael
del Journa.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Hi, it's Michael.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Your Morning show can be heard on great radio stations
across the country like News Talk ninety two point one
and six hundred WREC in Memphis, Tennessee, or thirteen hundred
The Patriot in Tulsa, Are Talk six fifty KSTE and Sacramento, California.
We invite you to listen live while you're getting ready
in the morning. It that take us along for the
drive to work. But as we always say, better late
than never. Thanks for joining us for the podcast. AMAS
(18:09):
is released all Israeli hostages. We are now waiting on
the remains of the twenty eight Israeli hostages who died
in captivity. Then they'll be the exchange of the Palestinian
hostages from Israel. I'm not clear if the twenty eight
bodies have to be returned before the Palestinian hostages are released. Meanwhile,
(18:31):
bb Netna, who has taken the podium. He is speaking
live in the Kanesset in Jerusalem. The President of the
United States, Donald Trump, is sitting right next to him,
and we are waiting on the President's.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Remarks as well.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
For most, it's a day of peace and a day
of celebration and the end of a two year war.
And then there's our listeners.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
But anyway, we.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Do have a talkback button, and we do promise we
can't have your more show without your voice, So why
have all celebration and hope? Let's do Kate t Okay
in Oklahoma City.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Good morning.
Speaker 10 (19:10):
Peace in the Middle East is great, but let's remember
what God's word says. They say peace and safety, then
set in destruction.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Yes, And then there's Hebrews chapter eleven, where our faith
assures this of the things we expect and convinces this,
of the existence of things we cannot see, one must
live in hope. You know, I had a conversation with
Yael Eckstein. Eckstein, who is the head of the International
Fellowship of Christians and Jews last week. We had that
(19:49):
conversation from Israel on Friday, which is why otherwise it
probably would have been our spotlight interview of the week.
But her father, the rabbi who started the organization, I
think it was in nineteen eighty two. I didn't really
come on board until the nineties, remarkable man. And I
knew in talking to her that she's more like me
(20:12):
than her father, and I'm certainly more like her than
her father. So the elephant in the room is, all right,
we have this moment of celebration, the twenty that are
alive coming home to their families, the twenty eight bodies
of those who didn't survive and remain returning foreclosure, and
the hope of peace and lasting peace. The difference between
(20:37):
me and her and her father was her father was
able to celebrate things. I'm a little bit like you
guys in that my celebration is somewhat dampened because I
know the enemy, and that can be discouraging, because deep
(21:00):
down I know the kind of lasting peace for Israel
and America and the world. Either they're gonna win or
they're gonna lose. So it really doesn't come until the
enemy is defeated. Now, Hamas can lay low for a while,
but that doesn't mean they're necessarily defeated, Iran can lay
low for a while, but that doesn't mean they'll be defeated.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
It means they'll take that time to rebuild.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
And so what Rabbi Xtein was able to do is
celebrate even that window of peace and then still maintain
a pure hope for lasting peace. That's where I struggle,
That's maybe where some of you are struggling. Sometimes you
gotta take what you get. I'll take today over two
(21:47):
years ago, two years ago, we don't know who was president,
and Hesbaalah from the North and Hamas from the South
carried out a terrible attack, an invasion, the rape, the slaughter,
(22:07):
the taking hostage. Now since then, the US and Israel
has taken out the houthis taken out, has Blood of
the North taken out Hamas, diminish them almost out of existence,
and didn't stop there, kick the can back with a run.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
That makes the world much safer.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
And a length of peace more possible. And now this arrangement,
and we've emphasized this a lot on this show. I'm
not interested in a two state solution because one side
doesn't see the other side's right to exist. And it's
not just that they're radical and they need to be killed. No,
that's the essence of their belief. If a Muslim is
(22:54):
following the third example of Muhammad, they're going to be
warriors and they're going to fight to their death. They're
going to win or you're going to win. But they
are going to convert you or kill you or tax you.
There's no in between. For them, that's worship.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
And for the.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Political Islamis, which is the second example of Mohammed, they're
going to lay in wait until the right time for jihad.
So they're just a little more patient jihadist. They populate,
they infiltrate, they agitate, then they wage war. But Donald
Trump brilliantly developed relationships, trust and build bridges with reasonable
(23:44):
first examples and the Arab and peaceful Muslim world, and
that's what makes this different. If they can get in now,
unless the Palestinian people within the borders of Israel decide
they want to keep being friends with Iron Hamas or
whatever the thug Dajour is, there is a chance that
(24:08):
an Arab Muslim world oversight of the Palestinian territory can rebuild,
establish peace and prosperity, and they won't be interested in
thugery anymore. And that's what I think I cling to
as at least a hope that goes beyond this transaction today.
(24:31):
Hope that makes sense, Bob, is it? Kste in Sacramento.
Speaker 10 (24:37):
I believe he's doing everything except snapping his fingers and
lightning coming from the heavens.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
All right. This was Donald Trump on the plane right now.
He's sitting right next to bb Netne, who's delivering address
from the Kanesset in Jerusalem. He'll be speaking momentarily. Was
on the plane and somebody made a reference to when
he said in the past, this piece deal could get
(25:06):
him to heaven. Listened to a couple of weeks ago
you were doing an interview and you talked about how
you hope to end up waring your brain because it
might help you get into heaven.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
How does how does this help? Does this help?
Speaker 9 (25:17):
I mean, you know, I'm being a little cute. I
don't think there's anything going to get me in heaven. Okay,
I really can think. I think I'm not maybe heaven bound.
I may be in heaven right now as we fly
an Air Force one. I'm not sure I'm going to
be able to make heaven. But I've made life a
lot better for a lot of people. And you know,
as an example, had had the election of twenty twenty
(25:39):
nine been rigged, you would have millions of people living
just in Russia Ukraine alone that would have never happened.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
And it didn't happen for four years.
Speaker 9 (25:49):
And I knew Putin very well it was the apple.
Speaker 10 (25:51):
Of his eye that all the things.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
I've said would have never happened.
Speaker 9 (25:55):
We had an incompetent administration, We had an incompetent president
because of a crooked election, millions of people are dead.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
This is a tough one for me. There is I
don't know if he's being cute. I mean that would
be news in and of itself. President of the United
States doesn't think he's heaven bomb.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
We kind of said, I'm being facetious at.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
The very well when he said that doing the peace
deal would get him to heaven, and so I think
he's just joking.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
We don't have to get into a.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Theological discussion about how the president could have blessed assurance
for eternity in Christ. I do think it's interesting that
he chose to point out how great this is and
how it probably wouldn't have happened. Now I have a
different take on the president. It's not and I don't
(26:49):
necessarily disagree. I mean, I think Joe Biden was either
incompetent or not competent. We don't even know who the
president was, but our enemies certainly sensed the incompetence or
not competent and took advantage of it, both with the
(27:12):
invasion of Ukraine and the attack on October seventh. So
I think it's okay to point that out. I'd probably
followed up with a little teaching on how weakness embolden's aggressors.
Maybe he made a little bit more personal I do think,
you know, when people are often kicking around the sovereignty
(27:35):
of God, they forget this, even in the bad things.
I don't know that a lot of what Donald Trump
may or may not accomplish could have been accomplished in
a successful reelection. I think it made him one of
the more unique presidents ever. I think he's a much
(27:57):
better president for having had four years off, for having
survived all the law fair for having even survived an
assassination attempt. And the world may certainly be in a
much better place because those bad things happened, or in
(28:20):
spite of those bad things happening? What makes me cautious
about that comment? I joked earlier too. I mean, I'd
like to help him with this theology, to which didn't
we get somebody call James or somebody to basically say
that all of us aren't saved in fact, if we've.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
All gone on to sin at all. I think it's always.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Important to notice that when Jesus did something for someone,
he said, now go and sin no more.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
He wasn't a great mush god.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
I'm certain that every one of them went and sent
and sinned again because all of sindon fallen short. It's
a pretty inclusive group except for the one who we
confess to. So I don't want to get into like
a theological tug of war here. That's not for this
type of radio. But I just got through discussing. Isn't
(29:20):
it refreshing to have Hillary Clinton acknowledge the greatness of
this that we must always first and foremost be Americans.
To Pam Bondi's quote, I wish you loved America as
much as you hate Donald Trump. Well, Hillary Clinton has
proved she at least loves America more than she hates
Donald Trump to acknowledge this is a remarkable achievement, and
(29:43):
she did that. I meet the press, I just for
the record, would like the President to stick to you know,
this is a great day for Israel, this is a

for America.
