Speaker 3 (00:23):
Well two three, starting your morning off right, A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding because we're
in this together.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
This is your Morning Show with Michael O'Dell Johno.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Six minutes after the hour, at least sixty people are
injured after a drone attack in northern Israel. The United
States sending more troops along with another anti missile battery
to Israel. Was a third assassination attempt against Donald Trump.
Trump thwarted in California. Las Vegas man is facing charges
after being arrested at a checkpoint near a rally in

(00:59):
southern californ House speaker Mike Johnson says former president doesn't
need to release his medical records used to be his
tax records everybody wanted to see.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
And the Dodgers took Game.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
One in style over the Mets nine nothing and last night,
if you fell asleep, and who could blame you? The
Bengals went on to win seventeen to seven over the Giants.
Welcome to Monday, October, the fourteenth year of Our Lord,
twenty twenty four. I am Michael del Jorno on the
air and streaming live on your iHeartRadio app, and this
is your morning show. We started our Sounds of the
day breaking down the numbers, not me, NBC, and what

(01:31):
they show you is what's behind the falling numbers of
Kamala Harris and what's behind them are her and Joe
Biden and her all right, so both represent a direction.
The Democrats have had control of the White House twelve
of the last sixteen years. And if you don't like

(01:52):
the direction of this country in about seventy percent of
America doesn't, that's who you're naturally gonna blame. So her
ability and their ability, I should say to hide Kamala
Harris in plain sight, the way they hide at Joe
Biden in a bunker after COVID in twenty twenty is
not working. The switch from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris

(02:12):
is not working. While she does with abortion have a
female a voting gap, there is an even bigger male
voting gap in favor of Donald Trump. And these are
national numbers and the things that are driving people, like
the border Trump leads by twenty five percent, the economy, inflation,

(02:35):
cost of living, Trump leads by eighteen percent. Now, whenever
we're dealing with polling, Trump always under polls because nobody
on that really supports Donald Trump trust news media, print media,
and universities, so they simply don't answer the phone.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
So if Trump's tied, is he really leading by three?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
That's what twenty twenty and twenty sixteen has taught us.
So when we go inside these numbers, yeah, it's a
dead heat nationwide. But remember Hillary led by six nationwide,
went on to win the popular vote in twenty sixteen
but lost the election. Things are not looking good for

(03:13):
Kamala And maybe the straw that breaks the camel's back
brings us back to sounds of the day. We know
what Saturday Night Live did to Sarah Palin, ruined her image,
ruined the ticket, ruin her candidacy for some reason, Lauren
Michaels and Saturay Night Live find the biggest joke Joe Biden,

(03:34):
Kamala Harris and Tim Walls. And by the way, that
too links Joe Biden to Kamala Harris, which is a
death blow. But in general, could Saturday Night Lives brilliant
portrayal of knucklehead Tim laughing Kamala and senile Joe be

(03:57):
the final straw that does them in this Satiay Night
I didn't do any favors as they all played not
a debate, but the family feud.

Speaker 5 (04:05):
Okay, give me como, give me Trump and played a few.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
I'm telling you, Steve, she's gonna be horrible at this game.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
She's a very low IQ person.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
The whole world is laughing at her because they don't
respect her like they respected me.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
Well, okay, see, the fact is Donald Trump likes dictators,
all right, because anyone can manipulate him simply through flattery.

Speaker 8 (04:30):
That's simply not true.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
It's not true.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
Okay, you look handsome tonight.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
I love her.

Speaker 8 (04:35):
Isn't she great?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
She's got my vote? All right, let's play the game.

Speaker 7 (04:39):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
One hundred people surveyed. Top six answers on the board.
Name something that you're keeping your glove compartment? Ovp Harris, Steve.

Speaker 7 (04:47):
Look, I was raised in a middle class family.

Speaker 8 (04:51):
All right, Oh, here we go.

Speaker 7 (04:53):
Okay. My mother raised my sister and me. All right,
she worked hard and saved up.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah huh.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
We had a second mother too.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Okay, did that mother have a glove apart?

Speaker 7 (05:05):
A small business owner named miss Shelton.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
Okay, we got that something that you keep in your
glove compartment?

Speaker 7 (05:11):
Oh a glock, Steve, A big old clock.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Oh snap, okay, so you strapped like that? All right,
show me the blip blam bicket number two answer. The
Democrats is controlling the board.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Let's go yeah, no, normally the family few number one,
which you give them off?

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Name something that you keep in your glove compartment?

Speaker 8 (05:36):
Oh wow, I mean I can't top that.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
It was so perfect.

Speaker 8 (05:40):
I'll go with the same answer, Steve, A glock.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Man, you want to give you the same answer. It
seemed like a bad strategy. But show me another blip
blam bicky.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
A second gone.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
That's the number one answer. Damn America.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
All right, let's go over to Tim Walks Okay, something
that you're keeping your glove of puppet.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
This is right in my wheelhouse, in my glovebox.

Speaker 9 (06:08):
I got hot hands, napkins from Ronza, and gotta have
tombs in case I eat something spicy like tomato.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
If you say so, show me some white nonsense. I'm
gonnahead get Salia not up there. Let's go over the president,
Joe Biden. Something that you're keeping your glovebox.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
I like to buy a vow.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
That is that's that's the wrong game.

Speaker 10 (06:33):
Plea, Come on, Conan, what are you doing?

Speaker 11 (06:38):
It's me.

Speaker 8 (06:39):
I'm still the president. I'm Joe.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I may be older.

Speaker 10 (06:42):
Beat the hell out of you.

Speaker 8 (06:44):
I'll popya. I'll give you an uncle sandwich.

Speaker 7 (06:46):
You know how to do it.

Speaker 8 (06:46):
I can make sandwiches. And guess what, here's the deal.
I'm not the old one now. Trump is the only difference.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
I know when to walk away about six months too late? Okay,
show me whatever that was.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
That's the question.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
You know when Sarah and Life did this to Sarah Palin,
it was a death blow. Clearly Lauren Michael's in the cast.
Still find Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Tim Walls, And
I guess Dougie to some degree the most laughable aspect. Meanwhile,
on the talking head shows like ABC, you continue to
see the unbiased, moderating type questions on behalf of the

(07:29):
American voters right wrong.

Speaker 10 (07:32):
Here's a vart Donald Trump making those claims that the
Republican mayor says were grossly exaggerated and have hurt the
city's identity and sense of safety. I understand what you're saying,
that some people left behind, but he's making these statements
that the mayor is flat out disputing.

Speaker 9 (07:51):
Well, Martha, you just said the mayor said they were exaggerated, exaggerator.
There's got to be some That means there's got to
be some element of truth here.

Speaker 7 (07:59):
In a course, President Trump.

Speaker 9 (08:01):
Was actually in Aurora, Colorado talking to people on the ground.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Okay, so now Martha Raddis is basically saying grossly exaggerated.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
So jd Vance comes back.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
If you're saying exaggerated, grossly, exactly exaggerated, there must be
some truth.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Watch her redirect.

Speaker 9 (08:15):
This is breathtaking and what we're hearing, of course, Martha,
is that people are terrified by what has happened with
some of these Venezuelan gangs.

Speaker 7 (08:22):
Sener vance, I'm.

Speaker 10 (08:23):
Gonna stop you because I know exactly what happened.

Speaker 7 (08:25):
I'm gonna stop here.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
I'm gonna stop you because I know better. I'm gonna
fact check you.

Speaker 10 (08:30):
Listen, the incidents were limited to a handful of apartment conflict, not.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
A handful of suspects, a handful of apartment.

Speaker 10 (08:38):
Complexess apartment complexes, and the mayor said, our dedicated police
officers have acted on those concerns a handful of problems.

Speaker 9 (08:49):
Only, Martha, do you hear yourself? Only a handful of
apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
And you wonder why the Trump campaign as.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
A measly twenty five percent advantage when it comes to
the border. And that concludes our sounds of the day,
which probably explain our poles of the day, which certainly
explain our odds of the day. Things are swaying Donald
Trump's way. We'll talk to Republican strategist Chris Walker later
in the third hour about the massive swing and can

(09:24):
they hang on to it? And also roo Neil the
latest on the clean up efforts in Florida. Straight ahead
with your top five stories of the day. Thanks for
waking up with your morning show.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
We're all in this together. This is your morning show
with Michael enhild Jowno.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Twenty one minutes after the hour. Thanks for waking up
with your morning show on Michael Del Jorno on the
air and streaming live on your iHeartRadio. App Appreciate you
listening this morning if you're just getting up. A new
poll shows the race for the White House a dead heat.
Does a dead heat show Donald Trump's probably really leading?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Meanwhile?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Was that a third assassination attempt getting ready to happen
on Donald Trump?

Speaker 1 (10:00):
In California?

Speaker 2 (10:01):
A Las Vegas man is facing charges and at least
sixty people are injured in drone attacks in northern Israel.
Hesbel off course, claiming the attacks. The US is sending
more troops along with an anti missile battery system to
Israel to help protect the NCAA college football top five
is out. Texas still number one, easily defeating OU by

(10:22):
thirty one. Oregon second with the one point upset over
Ohio State, Penn State now third, Ohio State third, and
Georgia rounds out the top five. Bengals won seventeen to
seven last night over the Giants Hurricane Baker Mayfield three
hundred and twenty five yards, four touchdowns. Bucks beat the
Saints fifty one to twenty seven. Bucks now four and two.

(10:43):
Commanders fell short thirty twenty three in Baltimore to the Ravens,
both now four and two. No frozen Tundra, but the
Cardinals got cold cocked by the Packers thirty four to thirteen.
Packers now four and two. Cardinals dropped to two and four.
Titans can't win without a quarterback. They lost by three.
They fall to one and four.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Browns.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
They can't win without a quarterback. They lost in Philly
by four. Browns now one to five. And tonight we
got the Bills and the Jets. So Josh Allen, maybe
the best today against Aaron Rodgers, maybe the best of
yesterday that's left. It'll be the Bills and the Jets
tonight on Monday Night. Football and the NLCS got underway
last night, Dodgers nine to nothing over the Mets. Take

(11:24):
a one game lead. You know what I say, jeffre
If you're gonna lose, lose big.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Oh absolutely.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Game two will be this afternoon at four oh eight.
Central American League Championship Series gets underway in the Bronx tonight,
the Guardians and the Yankees Game one, seven thirty eight.
All right, two stories that want to get in one
And this comes from Axios. So we always give these
kind of things like little headlines. This is the crazy
Left being honest. Sometimes the crazy Left is just crazy left.

(11:52):
That's the matrix we live in. This is them being honest,
and in one of their sights of record, like Axios,
so you get this perspective in Axios. Under the headline,
tensions rise between Harris and Biden's teams. And why wouldn't
they They've always been there. I've explained I don't know

(12:15):
how many times, how interesting it was that if the
Democrat primary process had been real, Bernie Sanders would have
got the nomination twice in twenty sixteen and in twenty twenty.
In twenty sixteen they used super delegates and the party
got involved to make sure it was Hillary, and then
they lost. In twenty twenty, it was going Bernie's way again.
They meddled, cut a deal in South Carolina for Joe Biden,

(12:38):
hid the old man in a basement, changed election laws
by weaponizing COVID, and they won this time they were
going to take a shot at Joe after things didn't
look so good. They put him out on the debate
with no medication. It blows up. They get rid of
him and replace him with Kamalin. Now they're going to
try to hide Kamala in plain sight, the way they

(12:58):
hided Joe in a basement. But these two never got
along because you're combining the Obama apparatus and the Clinton apparatus.
Clinton apparatus run by Podesta for eight years, Obama apparatus
run by Podesta for eight years. Remember, Kamala was the

(13:18):
Clinton candidate and was first one out in the twenty
twenty primaries. Biden, of course, holding their nose, was the
Obama candidate. So you were combining all the foot soldiers
of two different camps, the strategists of two different camps.
They didn't like each other from the beginning. Joe made
that clear in his first news conference sixty four days

(13:39):
into his presidency that he wasn't playing the trojan horse game.
When he handed the poison apple to Kamala and gave
her control of the border, knowing it would destroy her politically,
Podesta spitefully still replaced him with her and this border
is probably.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
What's going to cost her the election. But this story
goes deeper.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Some of the Harris teams say the White House aides
aren't sufficiently coordinating Biden's message and the schedule to align
it with Kamala Harris. Example, Biden gave an impromptu press
conference in the White House Briefing Room on Friday. Justice
Harris was about to do an event in Michigan, ensuring
her event would get less TV coverage, especially on the
pro Democrat networks. Earlier in the week, of course, Harris

(14:25):
was criticizing Governor DeSantis. I'm trying to, you know, get
resources to him and help him prepare for a hurricane,
and he won't take my colleagues, putting politics over the
hurting people. Desanta's like, I haven't heard from her. Why
would I hear from her? Then Joe Biden from the
White House says, Oh, he's doing a great job. We're
in constant contact. They even gave him my cell number.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I mean, that does look spiteful and coordinated.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Then why not they took all his delegates and gave
it to someone else and forced him out of office. Biden
has been constantly boasting about jobs reports helping to end
the strike with the Longshoreman's Union other perceived victories. You
saw Biden side by side taking leadership with the hurricane

(15:12):
recovery in eastern Tennessee and Western Carolina, as well as
the latest in Florida, while Harris is trying to jump
on calls and grandstand and looks ridiculous trying. One person
involved in the Harris campaign told Axios, the White House
is lacking someone in the room thinking first and foremost
about how things would affect the campaign. Do you think

(15:37):
it's a stretch that Joe Biden cares more about his legacy,
cares more about his presidency than he does Kamala Harris's
election that she stole from him. Now, I don't know
how we're going to fare out. We are the divided

(15:58):
States of America over everything, and liberty and justice for
all is looking pretty shaky too, and a house divided
against itself cannot stand. But here's a party that is
divided against itself and a dead heat with weeks to
go intol election, and the inside skinny coming from the

(16:21):
crazy left being honest is the Harris and Biden teams
have a lot of tensions as the electioneers. Now is
this presidential Joe getting a second wind or spiteful Joe
getting even The answer is no matter which it is,

(16:42):
it's a big problem for Kamala Harris dead heat race,
going away from her towards Trump and now fighting amongst themselves.
Twenty eight minutes after the our quick break for your
local news, weather and traffic, and then we come back
how the cleanup is going in Florida with Rory O'Neil.
Will also visit with White House correspondent John Decker. With

(17:05):
just weeks to go, Mama d Kamala has released her
medical record. She wants Donald Trump to do the same,
because that's what we're all worried about his health, not
getting shot.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
It's common sense in a world of narrative noise. It's
your morning show with Michael del Johno.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Good morning to all of you.

Speaker 2 (17:26):

At least sixty people injured and it has attack, a
drone attack in northern Israel, US announcing it'll send more
troops along with another anti missile battery to Israel. Was
that a third attempt planned on the life of Donald Trump?
A Las Vegas man facing charges after being arrested at

(18:30):
a checkpoint near the former president's rally in southern California.
A new polls show the race is a dead heat.
Of course, does a dead heat mean Donald Trump's really leading?
And how are the cleanup efforts going in Florida after
Hurricane Milton. Joining us now from Florida is Rory O'Neil,
our National Your Morning Show correspondent Rory Developments from over
the weekend.

Speaker 11 (18:51):
Yeah, or at least that's the cry from a lot
of Floridians who are looking to get gas to power
their generators because they're still without power right now this morning,
we're looking at about four hundred thousand Floridians with no electricity.

Speaker 8 (19:06):
Keep in mind that was about.

Speaker 11 (19:08):
Three point four millillion last Friday, so they've gotten three
million pack online, which is pretty remarkable in just a
few days. An interview with the head of TICO, the
Tampa Electric Company, earlier today said he was optimistic they'll
get everyone back online by Wednesday. He said, actually, they're
going a bit of head of schedule in some of
the areas that weren't hit as hard, so we'll see

(19:30):
how that goes. But yeah, there's a lot of progress
that's been made this weekend thanks to some pretty dry weather.

Speaker 8 (19:36):
Unfortunately, the Florida.

Speaker 11 (19:38):
Humidity is returning, and when there's no power community all
that he it's a little.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
We're all a little on edge.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yes, it can get miserable. I noticed that, and I'm
just doing this anecdotally by friends I have. But a
friend that was on the east coast in Lucy County,
where a lot of the tornadoes were, he got back
up I think early Saturday. My friend Joe, who's in Sefner,
which is just east of Tampa, the Sefnor val Rico line,

(20:06):
he got his power yesterday about noon. So that's a
long time to go without power, and there are some
in the Tampa area that won't get it till Wednesday.
So but when you got three million, three point four million,
that's a lot to get back online, right.

Speaker 11 (20:19):
And because there's no power, that means people are using
those generators more and more and they need to fill
up those little cans of gas and that just isn't
an efficient way to do it. So that creates long
lines at gas stations if the gas station.

Speaker 8 (20:31):
Has power at all. So you have that also added
to the mix.

Speaker 11 (20:35):
They did reopen the port of Tampa over the weekend,
so a lot of the gas shortages that were reported
are being quickly resolved. Triple A says eighty five percent
of this gate gas stations across Florida we'll be back
to normal operations by tonight.

Speaker 8 (20:51):
They think normal supply should be in place by Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
I talk a lot about the death of journalism, and
I know that's my opinion. We have narratives and narrative
peters on social media more than we have news consumers.
Even I'm hearing from a lot of people living in
Florida that the news narrative doesn't match the reality on
the ground, that things are a lot worse than the
media that's now just kind of basically said, hey, please

(21:15):
give to the Red Cross, or please give help those
in need. Otherwise we're moving on. And so I'm just
I'm asking the question. You're there, I'm not. I have
seen the media do this because the view was that
the current administration wasn't doing well at preparing and responding,
so maybe they want to downplay it. Do you get
a sense on the ground that things are worse and

(21:37):
they're being portrayed nationally.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
In some areas.

Speaker 11 (21:41):
Yes, I think that Hurricane Helene did more damage to
the Tampa Bay area locations like Sarasota, like Saint Petersburg,
like clear Water.

Speaker 8 (21:51):
I think there was more damage done there by Helen
than was reported.

Speaker 11 (21:54):
Keep in mind, Helen of course, then went into Florida's
Big Bend area for landfall caused a lot of wind
damage there. And we all know what happened to the
Carolinas and Tennessee thanks to Helene. But I think a
lot of people in that Tampa Bay area say, hey,
what about us? We got walloped, even though Helene really
never hit us directly, but they got a giant storm surge,

(22:15):
and then it came along again two weeks later with
Milton storm surge and wind. So I think a lot
of the homes and businesses on those barrier islands, in
places like Venice and Cst. Key, Longboat Key parts even
down towards Fort Myers and Naples, say hey, wait a minute, now,
this one two punch is worse than is being addressed. Yes,

(22:37):
those tornadoes and the Saint Lucie County, I was just going.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
To say to one two three punch, right, the tornadoes
in Saint Lucie County, and then we had the one
two of Helena and Milton. Because when I was looking
at a lot of storm damage. The next day, I'm
seeing stuff that was clearly Helena still I mean houses
completely still off their axle, the way the sand was
built up from storm surge in that area, or air
condition and refrigerators in the front yard. That's the breed

(23:04):
that was waiting to be picked up by garbage. That
was Alene, not Milton.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
And then Milton r.

Speaker 11 (23:08):
On top of it, right, So it is this one
two punch shed that they're trying to respond to that's
also complicating things. And then you're trying to restore power
while saying, well, first we've got to get the sand
out of this, you know, some of this equipment, and
it's a complicated recovery, more so in some areas than others.
Rather than just running a new line to a house,
there are a lot more areas where the whole grid

(23:31):
has to be rebuilt because storm surge.

Speaker 8 (23:33):
In particular is so much more destructive.

Speaker 11 (23:36):
You know, Yes, we've all seen the pictures of what
happened to Tropicana Field and the roof coming off and
stuff like that, but you know the real damage is
a little bit further Let's see that would be further
west of the trop really on those Barrier islands and
a little bit further to the south in the Sarasota area.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
What has been the feeling locally in that region as
far as does this administration. I mean, like I think
Joe Biden, I know a lot of people got on
him this weekend because he compared with the people's losses
are to his house being struck by lightning.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
But he was trying.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
He was just trying to say that it's not about
necessarily and I went through this with Katrina, especially with
my mom. I mean, we lost everything and there's stuff
you can't replace, like family photos. They had to be
you know, things just had to be gone and everything
stripped down to the studs and then treated. I think
he was trying, but is it relate? I mean, do
the people feel like they're being filled by their government

(24:30):
right now?

Speaker 11 (24:32):
Well, I would just back up and say, it's not
the responsibility of the federal government. This is a state operation,
it's a county operation, it's a city operation, it's a
federal operation.

Speaker 8 (24:42):
Last in line.

Speaker 11 (24:43):
And you know, I think that they're more concerned about
getting their power back on. And we've got fifty thousand
crews that have already been brought in and it's sorry,
but it's the demand power is there. It's just as
a process that's going to take time. And when it
comes to, you know, trying to get sand out of
streets and else, that's not FEMA's job. Now, FEMA will
will help pay the overtime that the county had to

(25:06):
pay to the contractor that had hired, But FEMA does
not have steam shovels that could come through and get
the sand out of Saint Pete Beach. That is it
is a local response more than anything.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Do you want me to hang up so I can
talk behind your back about why you're saying that it
won't make you uncomfortable as a news person. No, because
there are some states where governors and county officials and
really county officials, county and municipalities that deal with this
and they're great at dealing with this and they.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Don't want the FED.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
I mean, I'll never forget when we had our flooding here,
FEMA was walking around trying to get on the radio
and we're like, just get out of our way. We
know how to do this. But certain states react differently. Well, no,
certain states respond others don't react and look for someone
else to help.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Flora is not one of them.

Speaker 11 (25:53):
There, Yeah, I think right now, it's the gasoline shortage
that's the most frustrating thing for most people right now,
is what you'll say, because there are long lines of
gas stations.

Speaker 8 (26:02):
But they just opened the Port of Tampa this weekend.
That's stuff.

Speaker 11 (26:04):
You know, there are things that just take time, and
it's not a matter of you know, who's more efficient
or whatever, but it is just you know, the port's
got to get cleared now, the barges have to set sail, now,
they have to arrive.

Speaker 8 (26:15):
Now, you have to start, you know.

Speaker 11 (26:17):
So it is just a process and you try to
make it as efficient as possible. But you know, the
Florida's system of emergency management is they've got this down
pad and they're probably better at it than anyone else
in the country.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Roy O'Neil on the ground in Florida. Great reporting. We'll
talk again in the third hour, all right, forty four
minutes after the hour. If you're just waking up, we're
gonna come back with your top five stories of the day.
And we're just weeks away from the election, and it
seems to be slipping away from Kamala towards Trump. What
can she do to change that momentum? John Decker will
join us our White House correspondent. Your morning show continues next.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
From Sacramento to Oklahoma City, from Nashville to Youngstown. This
is your morning show with Michael del Juno.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Are you proud of me?

Speaker 12 (27:02):
At tim?

Speaker 10 (27:04):
All right?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Forty nine minutes after the hour, about eleven minutes to
be to work on time. Thanks for waking up with
your morning show. I'm Michael del Jurno, and welcome to Monday,
the fourteenth of October, Year of our Lord, twenty twenty four. Well,
it looks like we four toed a third attempt, an
assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life, and we're learning more
about the man arrested late Saturday afternoon at the rally
in California. Phil Ferrar has details.

Speaker 13 (27:27):
He is forty nine year old Vim Miller from Las Vegas.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Biancle says Miller was able to
make it through one checkpoint, but deputies noticed something suspicious
at a second checkpoint at a Coachella farm near Palm Springs,
before former President Trump was about to speak.

Speaker 14 (27:44):
The vehicle had an obviously fake license plate. The deputy
eventually found multiple passports, multiple driver's license with different names,
a loaded handgun, and a shotgun.

Speaker 13 (27:55):
Bioncle says he believes his deputies prevented a third assassination
attempt on the life of former President Trump. I'm Phil Farrar.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
You think Jim Clyburn would be concerned about what black
voters are feeling about his party's policies on the border
and on jobs, but he's not. He's just concerned about
black men turning out to vote. Mark Mayfield has more.

Speaker 6 (28:19):
Hearing on CNN's State of the Union. The South Carolina
representative that he remains positive after talks he's had with
black voters.

Speaker 15 (28:26):
Yes, I am concerned about black men stay at home
or voted for chop, but my concerns don't tend to
keep me from being energetic about this campagn.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
CNN reports Vince President Harris is expected to announce new
policy proposals focused on appealing to black men. While campaigning
on behalf of Harris. Last week, former President Obama said
it's not acceptable for black men to sit out this election.

Speaker 16 (28:54):
I'm Mark Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Well, a new poll shows why they're so concerned. The
race nationwide is tied between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris,
which may mean not only is Donald Trump leading nationally,
he's leading big in the swing states. Tammy Trihilo has
more details.

Speaker 12 (29:08):
It's just three weeks left to go before the November election.
Each candidate received forty eight percent support from likely voters
in the latest NBC News poll. The survey released on
Sunday also found some uncertainty, with ten percent of voters
saying they might change their minds. Folsters noted a shift
away from the post to eight momentum for Harris, with
the contest becoming a dead heat.

Speaker 17 (29:28):
I'm Tammy Trio.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Meanwhile, Minnesota Governor and vice president knucklehead Tim Wall says
he'll load.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Up to his misspeaks.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Whies or misspeaks, That's what he really needs to own
up to. Lisa Cardon reports.

Speaker 17 (29:40):
The Democratic vice presidential nominee appeared on Fox News Sunday
and was asked about statements he's made in the past
about his military service and trips to China.

Speaker 18 (29:50):
Look, I speak passionately. I had an entire career decades
before I was in public office. They know and I'm
very proud of my twenty four years in service and
my record. I have never disparage someone else in this
but I know that's not what Donald Trump does. They
disparage everyone, give personal attacks.

Speaker 17 (30:05):
Well said, he thinks voters and his constituents in Minnesota
know who he is. While responding to the question, Walls
also went after JD Vance for not acknowledging if former
President Trump lost the twenty twenty election during their debate.
I'm Lisa Carton.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Well, candidates aren't the only clowns at the box office.
A pair of demented clowns. They're battling it out. Scott
Carr has more.

Speaker 16 (30:27):
It's the chainsaw wielding clown that's taking the top spot
in its opening weekend.

Speaker 17 (30:32):
Who's the Santa?

Speaker 7 (30:34):
He's scaring my kids?

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Yes, he's scaring me too.

Speaker 16 (30:38):
Terrifire three is easily beating out the other clown in
Joker Folly Abdieu, which has quickly dropped a fourth place,
coming in second this weekend, as DreamWorks Animated hit The
Wild Robot.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Sometimes to survive, we must become more the new Program to.

Speaker 16 (30:56):
Keep, which made another fourteen million dollars, and Tim Burton Beetlejuice.
Beatle Juice is still going strong at number three. I'm
Scott Carr.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Is it just me? Or the fifteen dollars popcorn seems
the greater draw.

Speaker 7 (31:08):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
With only three weeks to go until election day, Kamala
Harris has released her medical records, and she's challenging Donald
Trump to do the same. White House correspondent and Supreme
Court bar attorney John Decker is joining us with the
latest on the campaign for the presidency.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Good morning, John's he's not there. He's not there? Sorry,
all right, I think we're having problems getting John. Yeah,
I don't think we have the correct phone number in
this studio from the old studio. I think is where
we're at right now. Oh well, we might want to

(31:43):
just found out. Okay.

Speaker 16 (31:44):
Well.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
One of the interesting things about this story, we'll do
it without John, is obviously a tone deafness. Look, whether
you're for Donald Trump or not, you ought to be
concerned that we are incapable or appear to be challenged
in protecting elected officials lives. And so the big story

(32:06):
today is now we had first eight shots, get off.
We haven't gotten to the bottom of that. In Butler,
Pa how's this guy, you know, got a rangefinder? He's
not on a golf course that's usually synonymous with long targeting.
Then they lose track of them. Then everybody's got him
on their phones. Local law enforcement has them, but nobody

(32:29):
can communicate to Secret Service to get Trump off the stage.
Then on top of it, we're watching him crawl around,
and the snipers watch him crawl, get into position and
take eight shots before they take him out. All right,
we haven't even gotten to the bottom of that. Was
that bad planning, was that bad communication and execution, or
was that something worse. We still don't have the answers.
We've been told by members of Congress. When you see

(32:50):
the report, it's going to be shocking to you. We
could be more shocking than what we're already sensing.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Then we got a.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Guy twelve hours hanging out outside a golf course, no
perimeter check. Now, fortunately, Secret Service advanced a whole ahead
of the president, spot him, shoot him.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
We eventually get him into custody.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Now a third a Las Vegas man facing charges after
being arrested at a checkpoint near the President's Cuchella rally
in southern California. So everybody's kind of focused on Gee,
they're just not going to stop coming after Donald Trump.
So if there's any sentiment out there from the half
of America that supports Donald Trump, is is he safe

(33:34):
from assassination? And what's the talking point of Kamala Harris?
As the election is slipping away, as Axios is reporting
infighting between the Biden camp and the Harris camp, and
Michigan really slipping away as people are focused more on
the economy, inflation and jobs than they are abortion, Kamala

(33:57):
releases her medical report and Donald Trump to do the same,
like anybody is concerned about Donald Trump's ability to battle
cholesterol versus avoid a sniper's bullet. Or how about when
we went through the numbers and it wasn't me, it
was NBC reporting. These were dramatic shifts, explainable shifts. Sure,

(34:21):
there's a woman gap fourteen percent driven by abortion, but
there's a male voting gap sixteen two percent higher with
men leaning towards Trump. So that's negated. Whatever lead she
had after the convention, whatever lead she had after the debate,
is gone. And when it comes to the issues that

(34:42):
matter most, they link Kamala Harris to Joe Biden and
this administration. And so when you ask does the Biden
policies hurt, forty five percent say yes, twenty five percent
say helping. That's negative twenty And then she gets on
the view and says, I can't think of anything I

(35:03):
would have done differently than Joe Biden when it comes
to the issues on the immigration.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
Trump used to lead twenty one to eight. Now he
leads twenty five to eleven.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
And her lead as someone who represents change that's gone
from nine to five in half. This election is slipping
away with her. And in the final weeks, what has
she got? A knucklehead? Some bad rumors about her husband,

(35:34):
and we want to see Donald Trump's health records. Would
have been an interesting conversation with John Decker because I
don't know how anybody could spin this in her direction.
All right, your morning show continues right after your local news.
Can the Republicans keep this momentum and lead? We'll find
out with Chris Walker straight ahead.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
We're all in this together. This is your morning show
