six forty WHLO and Akron, Ohio and News Radio five
seventy WDAK and Columbus, Georgia. We'd love to be a
part of your morning routine, but we're glad you're here now.
(00:21):
Enjoy the podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Well two three starting your morning off right. A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding because we're
in this together. This is your morning show with Michael
O'Dell Jordan.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Seven minutes after the hour, Good morning, Welcome, It's Thursday already.
Can you believe it? How did it happen? We blinked,
we blinked again, and time flew Thursday, October the sixteenth,
twenty twenty five on the airstreaming live on your iHeartRadio app.
This is your morning show. I'm Michael del Journal, honored
to serve you, serving all of us. As Jeffrey lyon
Masound Rockkeep and Eye the Content. President Trump has authorized
(01:03):
the CIA to take action in Venezuela. Usually you don't
you know an ounce the CIA has been authorized to
do something anywhere, but these are different times. The US
service members are getting paychecks this week despite the government shutdown,
which enters day sixteen. Brown University rejecting a deal proposed
by the White House to make policy changes in exchange
(01:24):
for federal funding of benefits. Meanwhile, we had the President
withhold forty million dollars from the state of California over
Trucker English proficiency rules. States have a right to go rogue,
but you do it without the federal government's funding. So
both sides. I commend you on playing your game. Zoran Mom.
(01:46):
Donnie says it's too early to give President Trump credit
for the Israeli Hamas ceasefire, but the comment goes way
beyond that, and it's way worse than that. He's basically
explaining how I won't add the Wii, although that's the implication,
don't count the terrorists out. Yet this is far from over,
(02:08):
and you know, it's clearly taking sides against Israel. And
if you don't think he did, he made it clear
too that he would continuous pledge to arrest net Yahoo
if he ever enters the City of New York on
war crimes. So you know, we used to talk about
does the Democrat Party have an eye problem and Israel problem?
(02:30):
Because during the presidential election they couldn't come out and
take a side. The extreme far left of their party
was actually on the side of the terrorists. The rest
of their party, of course, on the side of Israel,
so they just tried to avoid it. There's none of
that here. There's no question that if Mom Donnie is
(02:52):
elected twenty five years after nine to eleven, you again,
I said socialists for sure. Communist sounds like Islamist. I'll
bet you not many people probably willing to take the bet.
After the visit with Martha McCowen. McCowen on Fox yesterday,
(03:13):
did I say her name wrong? Why does it feel wrong?
Martha McCollum. McCollum, Look, none of you are any help.
What do you say, McCallum. McCallum. Ah, right, Martha McCallum.
You can tell I'm a big Fox fan. Right. Blue
Jase bats came alive and that was it. Now the
series is two games to one. Blue Chase went thirteen
(03:36):
to four in Seattle. Perhaps when it comes to Major
League Championship Series. League Championship Series. We should just click
our heros and say there's no place like on the road.
So far, nobody was wanted. All seemed to like to travel. Yeah,
I guess that speaks well of Milwaukee later tonight in
Los Angeles. All right, those are some of the things
(03:57):
we're gonna be kicking around. As you may or may
not have heard based on whatever national news you just got.
They returned two more bodies. So we had four bodies
remains of hostages killed returned immediately, then four more on Tuesday. Unfortunately,
one of the four on Tuesday was not an Israeli hostage,
(04:21):
so that brought us to a grand total of seven,
and then two more yesterday brings us to a total
of nine. And they're also signaling there's gonna be some
significant efforts needed to retrieve. IDF said in statements posted
on x that the remains of two hostages have been
transferred to Israel. President Trump commented on the retrieval of
(04:44):
the hostages remains and a gathering with reporters. They're looking
for absolutely, they're looking. So we have the living hostages
all back. They're going to return some more today. It's
a gruesome process. Take to talk about it. But they're digging.
They're actually digging. And again there was early talk of
(05:06):
an international coalition that would go in and help them,
but somebody has to say these things. Just as we
process and go through it together every day. They don't
remember where they're at. I mean, we know from one
living hostage he was told to dig his own grave.
But you know, if you have two terrorists go off
with a guy, they dig a gray you know, they
(05:27):
don't know where they're all at. But presumably they're all
in that tunnel is what the working knowledge is. They
just don't know exactly where to dig. I don't mind
the president distinguishing, you know, making the distinction between the
living hostages. That's the huge accomplishment. Twenty living Israeli's hell
(05:50):
is over and their home Numerluno. Two because of the
sacredness of life and the famili's closure. We want the
remains back so they can bury their loved ones. Third,
you want to disarm hamas Mamdani doesn't. But presumably anyone
(06:14):
wishing for a peaceful, free future in the Palestinian territory,
this is what you should be rooting for and they
you know, obviously they are trying to reinsert themselves as
in control. Now. There were some emails yesterday and I thought,
and I think anything, anybody can say anything, and it's
it's a fair conversation. I mean, you are dealing with
(06:38):
a terrorist organization, not necessarily even an evil country. So
I don't know how well the chain of command works.
It could be that some Hamas leadership negotiated this ceasefire
and this exchange and this peace deal, and others are
going rogue either way. They're still wearing the Hamas uniform
(06:59):
and they're not disarming, and they're killing others, and as
the President pledged, they will disarm or we will disarm them.
So that's kind of where we're at, still trying to
get remains, and we only got two more yesterday, and
the signal we're going to need some help and then
the disarming and the removal of Hamas. I hope the
President is reconsidering, and maybe, you know, not to diminish
(07:24):
the President's accomplishments at all, he may have had. Well
for those with Hamas that disarm and end their jihad,
if they want to remain, it's possible. I don't like
that one of twenty peace plan ideas, because they're never
(07:45):
going to change their spots. As we talked about a
great length yesterday, They're not going to suddenly convert. They
will regroup and come back. It's like leaving a cancer
cell in a body. That cells going to act like cancer,
not a healthy cell, and it will eventually mattap size.
It already has in a few days now in the
(08:05):
most gracious and merciful way, I could defend Mom Donnie.
Maybe that's what he meant. I don't think it is.
I mean the Mom Donnie Fox interview is another reminder
to New York you can't have it always somebody's lying
(08:25):
or somebody's not a serious legitimate candidate. Because if Hokel's
saying there'll be no tax raising, that's her pledge in
her googlenatorial race. How can you also endorse Mom Donnie
who's planning on raising taxes both corporate and individual. So
(08:53):
you're either dumb voting for Hokeul or if you're voting
for Hokele, you're really dumb voting for Mom Donnie because
nothing he's promising can happen those Meanwhile, Michael Hockel is
backing when Dommi in his I said that, that's what
I mean, you can't It doesn't make any sense there
somebody's lying. It's either either your vote for Hokele stupid
(09:13):
or your vote for mom. Dommi's in vain. They either
don't know where the bodies are or they need a
lot of help searching for him. Do you believe that, Michael,
they don't know? I mean, oh, I think that's possible.
Who knows if they were all you know, Uh, this
is some thing though we Carafanos told us this is
this is how they do it. It's rinsewash, repeat with
(09:36):
Well they've already they usually did that with a living
I don't know if they're trying to hold out with
that again. If I had to pick, I don't know
how to say this living back numerouno bodies for the
families two or settle the unrest in the Gaza with
Hamas trying to reassert itself one of those or two
(10:00):
their way. There's a bit of a turbulence, if you will.
There's two American dead hostages that have not been returned. Yeah,
but whatever happened to the I thought help was coming
for them that there was an international coalition that we're
going to go and join them to help retrieve the bodies.
I think this is all they got where they know
(10:20):
now the rest will take time to search, and the
more searchers the shorter, the time less searchers and oversight.
But I tend to lean towards the unrest in Gaza
because you're releasing two thousand terrorists and hardened criminals. You're
sending them troops along with aid. You know at least
(10:41):
they're worthholding some of the aid until they get the
bodies back. But did the president accomplish something extraordinary? Yes?
Is it finished? Far from is it lasting? Time will tell,
And everybody's going to try to make political footballs out
of this, And I think I'm right in saying it's
(11:04):
because for many, they hate the president more than they
love our country. They hate the president more than they
love Israel. They hate the president more than they love peace,
which is also lappable because if they were ever like
Mom Donnie, if he were ever to get his way
and Hamas and in Muslim nations destroyed Israel, they're coming
(11:27):
to America next. And we know where they like to
come first. Don't we nineteen ninety three, two thousand and one,
New York City. So there's a lot of things that
just don't make sense. Someone's lying, we think we know who,
but time will reveal them. The truth always has its stay.
So that's a little bit of what we're gonna kick
around today. We've got polls of plenty that Virginia race
it for the attorney general flipped. You know, let me
(11:50):
just do a little reminder, don't text, don't email, don't
say anything you wouldn't say on a microphone to the
entire nation, because there's no such thing as Princess Diana
would say privacy anymore. But that race is completely flipped.
(12:11):
He's now losing forty nine to forty three. So, Jay Jones,
whether you like it or not, your political career is over.
And based on the performance of your governor in the debate,
I'm thinking it might be a Republican clean sweep there
in Virginia.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
This is your morning show with Michael Del Chrono.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
You're just waking up. President Trump says he's authorized this
CIA to take action in Venezuela that's usually done secretly,
not with Trump. Mart Mayfield reports Trump spoke at the
White House. I authorized speak for two reasons, Julie.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Number one, they have emptied their prisons into the United
States of America. They came in through the well, they
came in through the border. They came in because we
had an open border policy.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
In confirming the authorization on Wednesday, Trump told reporters that
the second reason was the amount of drugs coming in
from Venezuela. He was asked about the potential CIA operations
just hours after The New York Times reported the agency
had been given the green light to conduct lethal operations
inside the country. The US has struck several votes in
the Caribbean as part of his campaign against alleged drug
(13:17):
smugglers from Venezuela.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
I'm Mark Neephield, and now we go inside the opposition
Dugau to get some analysis. So Ron mom Donnie says
it's way too early to give President Trump credit for
the Israeli Hamases fire. Chris Garagio has more.
Speaker 6 (13:30):
In an interview with Fox News, the Democratic Socialist candidate
for New York City mayor says he wants to see
lasting peace before any credit is given. Mom Donnie again
says if elected, he would arrest Israeli Prime Minister of
Benjamin Netnaho if he came to New York based on
a war crimes warrant from the International Criminal Court. Mam
Donnie reiterated his number one issue if elected is making
(13:52):
New York City affordable for working class people. Mom Donnie,
Independent Andrew Cuomo, and Republican Kurtis Luba will debate Thursday night.
I'm Chris Criesio. Measles continues to rise in the United States.
Jim roup with more.
Speaker 7 (14:05):
Cases are at a record high in the United States.
The US Center for Disease Control and Prevention says there
have been an average of twenty seven new cases each
week since the end of August. So far this year,
the CDC says there have been forty four outbreaks. There
were just sixteen all of last year. The annual total
is now above fifteen hundred, the highest since measles was
(14:26):
declared eliminated in the US and two thousand.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
I'm Jim Roop. New car prices are reaching record highs
in the United States.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
According to Kelly Bluebook, the average American new car buyer
pages under fifty thousand and one hundred dollars in September,
which is the first time the figure has ever topped
the fifty thousand dollars mark. The record high is being
paid despite automakers and dealers offering new discounts and incentives.
The Automotive Research Company credits tariffs, evs and luxury vehicles
(14:54):
for the price jump.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I'm at Mattinson, Well, I think this one's a no brainer.
Kate Pop Demon Hunters fans, We're gonna get another chance
to sing their hearts out at the movie theater. Netflix
has announced Kate Pop Demon Hunters sing Along We'll return
to theaters for three days starting on Halloween. The sing
(15:16):
along version of Netflix's most popular film ever first hit
the theaters back in August for a two day run.
Guess what it made eighteen to twenty million dollars in
two days. WHOA yeah, I think I'd do another. If
you don't want to cook this Thanksgiving, one company is
offering a holiday kitchen work around. Pretennis has that story.
Speaker 9 (15:37):
If cooking a big holiday meal is not your thing,
Nissen Foods has your back. They're offering two new flavors
to its line of cup noodles just in time for Thanksgiving.
Turkey Dinner. Noodles features herbed turkey broth, sweet corn, cranberries
and green beans, and for dessert, pumpkin pie noodles, both

(15:58):
eighteen each. I'm Tennis.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
We thank you for this wonderful bounty of doodles.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
This is Richard from Flovilla, Georgia, and my morning show
is your Morning Show with Michael dale Giorno. Hey gang,
it's me Michael. You can listen to your morning show live.
Make us a part of your morning routine or your
drive to work companion on great stations like Talk Radio
(16:28):
ninety eight point three and fifteen ten WLAC in Nashville,
Tupelow's News and Talk one oh one point one and
ten sixty WKMQ, and how about Talk six fifty KSTE
in Sacramento, California. Love to have you listen live, but
are grateful you're here now for the podcast.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Enjoy good morning and welcome to your morning show. And
I was just thinking about three and a half minutes ago,
the big debate for New York City mayor is tonight.
You know, Big show, Poor big John. He is just
he's clinging to the hope of sleep, which would be
I mean, at this point, a few weeks out, he
only needs to make up about forty five percentage points.
(17:07):
Surely you're staying positive. I mean, he could rally, but
he's got as much chance of winning this mayoral race
as well the under last night in the ALCS. But
I thought he's gonna cha, and sure enough he called
just a minute ago.
Speaker 10 (17:21):
Listen, So tonight is the New York City mayo debate.
Curtis has one shot. He's gotta go viral. His responses
could go viral. He's got one shot.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
This is hard. I'm not hurt him down like that
for a while. Yeah. Now, I really wish I could
come to lunch Friday. Big John's coming to town. That's right.
We actually we're such family. Just to prove it. When
you guys come to come, we go eat lunch with you.
I had a previous commitment. I know he's gonna feel
like I'm high hatting him, and I really wanted to
meet him better. I may just FaceTime during your lunch. Okay,
(17:55):
make that happen, Mom, Donnie. All right, So he's on
with Martha on Fox yesterday. They had a lot of
conversations if you missed it, and it's very difficult to
find the section where he's talking on Hamas. Lucky for you,
I have it. But if you would like, I would
like to restage the entire nineteen minute interview. You know,
(18:19):
I have watched television shows that don't have actual footage,
so they do reenactments. Sure, and it's effective if the
acting's good. Okay, thank you to let you be Martha,
and I'm going to be Zoron And for everybody didn't
get a chance to watch Martha McCallum yesterday, I'm going
to reenact the entire interview for you. All right. Well,
(18:42):
first of all, step back a little bit so I
can see your legs and ask the question. Right, No,
if you come back to the th that was a joke.
In other words, Fox just doing what I'm doing. So
are you ready? I mean, you have any Martha action?
All right?
Speaker 11 (18:57):
So the world is on the brink of war and
you're running for mayor of America's biggest city. Are you
rooting for Hamas and against the United States?
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Describe what you're seeing, Well, I'm just seeing a silly
looking grin. It's a big smile. It's a big smile
because you repeat the question, and please acknowledge my smiles
when I do it.
Speaker 11 (19:20):
Okay, your smile looks great. By the way, the world
is on the brink of war. You're running for mayor
of America's biggest city, and you're rooting for Hamas and
against the United States, and you continue to just smile.
Free busses, affordable childcare for everyone, and the ability.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
For the middle class to live.
Speaker 11 (19:41):
Answer the question, are you and an Islamist candidate?
Speaker 3 (19:47):
I'm somebody want to see the middle class rise. Free
busses for everyone, and I'm going to pay for that
with tax increases and free childcare.
Speaker 11 (19:57):
Answer the question, are you rooting for the Dodgers or
the Brewers?
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Free childcare and free buses? Wow? Nice smile, thanks and sing.
That's pretty much how it went. The one area, though
that was a bit hard to hide, was this section later.
We'll probably reaer it in Sounds of the Day, And
that's what I love about Sounds of the Day. There
were two things when we started the show being serious
(20:26):
now for a second, that we wanted. We want to
talk radio return to being a conversation again. And I
feel like we do that, and we use the talk
back button on the iHeart app. It's a microphone soon
enough to sit and rod on hold like the old
days of talk radio. You instantly make your comment question
and you take your place at the table. But the
point is that we're communicating. We're having a conversation, not
(20:49):
a monologue. I'm not smart, and you should worship me,
and you are fools, but thank you for listening. No,
we're in this together. We get it together, and we're
smarter togain. And what I love about Sounds of the
Day is it kind of gives you the news and
lets you digest it. You know, sometimes I watch talk television,
(21:10):
whether it's Foxy and n R, MSNBC or late night
talk shows, or I look at magazine articles. I know
they don't come in the paper form anymore, but they're
online or news sites, and I feel like they're chewing
food and spitting it chewed down your throat. I know
that's disgusting, but I trust you can think. I trust
(21:37):
you can chew your own food and digest your own food.
You don't need me to do it for you. Now,
that doesn't mean I believe that now you're Charlie Kirk
or now you're Rush Limbaugh. No, you're you. You were
fearfully wonderfully made. You can rise up, stand up, speak up,
you can get it. And I love that sounds of
(21:59):
the day. Just it's out of the way, because these
are the kind of things that everybody's going to be
telling you what to think about. I wanted to give
you the opportunity to think for yourself. So first and foremost,
what happened, Well, Zoran, mom, Donnie sat down. I guess
you want to give a little bit of credit, right,
He goes right on Fox with Martha McCollum. Mean, he
(22:20):
knows that's not that's going to be like, well, thank
you lord, I forgot her. Oh no, I didn't. Sarah
Palin going on with Katie Kirk. You know it's going
to be a rough trip. But he went that shows
some courage. Of course, went a doubt. He just defults
to smiling and saying free buses. And that's probably worth
forty six percent of the vote, just saying free buses.
(22:41):
But here's how the exchange turned to Israel and Hamas.
Speaker 12 (22:44):
Listen, oh, you just talked about Israeli is killing some Palestinians,
but Hamas is killing Palestinians within Gaza.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
And they have not.
Speaker 12 (22:53):
Returned the bodies that they promised to return, including two
Americans each Chen and Omer Newt whose families we have
interviewed over these months. So what is your response to
what Hamas is doing?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Now?
Speaker 13 (23:06):
I think those are bodies and remains that should absolutely
be returned. And I think that I have no issue
with critiquing Hamas or the Israeli government because my critiques
all come from a place of universal human rights. And
my focus, however, is right here in New York City
and transforming the most expensive city in America into one
that's affordable for each and ever New Yorker.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
All right, now you know why I mocked him, just
in fun. So she's going to do a redirect because
he didn't answer the question, and what little fake answer
he gave, he defaults right into free buses, affordability for
the middle class. Look, he's no Barack Obama. He can
(23:49):
appear slick, but he's pure facade, smile and pandering. This
man has no deep thoughts. Now, I do believe my
guests would be he's an Islamist, so clearly he's probably
rooting against Israel, which means in a city with the
(24:11):
largest Jewish population in the world. He's anti Israel, he's
anti jew he's is Lomist. I mean, until mom Donnie
comes on television and renounces Islam, trust me, he's an Islamist.
Of course, he's anti Israel, he's anti American. But he's
(24:38):
not very thoughtful, or at least he's not willing to
be very thoughtful when it comes to the complexities of
the Middle East. But Martha will give it a try
again here, okay, and.
Speaker 12 (24:48):
I want to get to that absolutely, But do you
believe that Hamas should lay down their weapons and leave
the leadership in Gaza?
Speaker 13 (24:56):
I believe that any future here in New York City
is one that we have to make make sure that's
affordable for all, and as it pertains to Israel and Palestine,
that we have to ensure that there is peace, and
that is the future that we have to fight for.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
But you, I know, I know, I know this is frustrating.
I'm not altering this in any way. So he is
not for Hamas disarming because he's rooting for Hamas. I mean,
that's the question. Well, I mean, if you can't connect
(25:28):
the dots, a reporter can ask it. I don't suspect
he'd answer it, but you know, everybody's gonna make a
big deal out of it. He refused to respond to
Hamas disarmy. Yeah, because he's pro Hamas, he's an Islamist.
I'm glad, you know. But the way he awkwardly no
(25:49):
matter what she says, free buses affordability for the middle class.
I mean, it was it was throughout and at that.
I mean there were moments I thought as I was
watching it, is this like a protest? I mean because
when when he was first sitting there, I thought, Hey,
that's some courage. I don't care who you are, that's courage.
(26:12):
That's what I loved about Charlie Kirk. He went in
to the most unfriendly place with the most unfriendly people. Eventually,
potentially we don't know, because there's all kinds of conspiracy
theories now, but killed by them. That's courage. And so
I'm thinking that's pretty courageous. He goes on Fox because
(26:32):
he's gonna get hammered. Martha was very cordial. I don't
even think the questions would fall under the label of hammered.
They were simple questions he wouldn't answer, couldn't answer, and
just gave you a talking point at Panda and a smile,
and then I thought, well, wait, is this a new rebellion.
(26:52):
I'll go on and no matter what you say, I'll
say what I was going to say. Then it became
kind of like fully to waste my time with. And
that's how it went. Now I'm going to shut up,
rewind and let you listen to it all the way through.
But listen, he does not answer questions.
Speaker 12 (27:08):
They have not returned the bodies that they promised to return,
including two Americans each, Chen and Omer Neutra, whose families
we have interviewed.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Over these months.
Speaker 12 (27:18):
So what is your response to what Hamas is doing now?
Speaker 13 (27:22):
I think those are bodies and remains that should absolutely
be returned. And I think that I have no issue
with critiquing Hamas or the Israeli government because my critiques
all come from a place of universal human rights. And
my focus, however, is right here in New York City
and transforming the most expensive city in America into one
that's affordable for each and ever New Yorker.
Speaker 12 (27:39):
Okay, and I want to get to that absolutely, But
do you believe that Hamas should lay down their weapons
and leave the leadership in Gaza.
Speaker 13 (27:47):
I believe that any future here in New York City
is one that we have to make sure that's affordable
for all, and as it pertains to Israel and Palestine,
that we have to ensure that there is peace and
that is the future that we have to fight for.
Speaker 12 (27:58):
But you won't say that Hamas should lay down there
arms and give up leadership in Gaza.
Speaker 13 (28:01):
I don't really have opinions about the future of Hamas
and Israel beyond the question of justice and safety and
the fact that anything has to abide by international law
and that applies to Hamas, that applies to Israeli military
ap plus to anyone you could ask me about.
Speaker 12 (28:14):
Okay, one last thought on that you have said that
you would arrest Netnyahu if he came to the United States.
You've been very outspoken in your criticism of him. Do
you stand by that you would arrest him if he
came here if you were mayor.
Speaker 13 (28:25):
I've said that this is a city that.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
To I don't know why the it froze. I'll get
you that answer, but basically he said yes, he would
arrest him. So when you ask about Hamas, I will
criticize both equally. I'm for just justice. I'm for peace. Well,
don't forget peace in Islam is after your text, or
(28:52):
after you're killed, or after you submit, so he can
look you right in the eye and say, oh, I'm
for peace, peace me, I'm for Hamas. That's why he
won't say, of course they should disarm. They're evil terrorist
thugs and they're jeopardizing peace and the Palestine, and people
deserve a peaceful safe place. And we have a coalition
(29:12):

He could have said a million things. Mostly he just
talked about free buses, free childcare, eight billion dollars that
I don't know where he's getting it. Oh, he's going
to tax, but no, he can't tax because Governor Hoko
pledged in her campaign there'll be no tax increases, and
(29:35):
he can't raise taxes in New York City without her approval.
So either she's lying about no taxes or he's lying
that he's going to be able to do all this
stuff in exchange for a vote. Oh, by the way,
free buses, long smile. I mean, it was frustrating. Red.
Did you notice, Michael, he didn't even mention the Palestinian people. No,
it was Hamas, Yeah, yeah, No. I don't know how
(30:00):

probably not well. But he didn't have their vote going in.
What little credit I gave him for courage, I think
became more of a stunt of how he was going
to handle it. No matter what she asked, he was
going to say what he said. And I fear that
that may be a new trend. That that's life in
the matrix, that's life in the death of journalism. Mom.

Number one, they have emptied their prisons into the United
States of America. They came in through the well, they
came in through the border. They came in because we
had an open border policy.
Speaker 5 (32:14):
In confirming the authorization on Wednesday, Trump told reporters that
the second reason was the amount of drugs coming in
from Venezuela. He was asked about the potential CIA operations
just hours after The New York Times reported the agency
had been given the green light to conduct lethal operations
inside the country. The US has struck several votes in
the Caribbean as part of his campaign against alleged drug
(32:35):
smugglers from Venezuela.
