Now. Enjoy the podcast starting your morning off right.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
A new way of talk, a new way of understanding
because we're in this together.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
This is your Morning Show with Michael O'Dell Jordan seven
minutes after the hour.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Thanks for waking up with your morning show on the Aaron,
streaming live on your iHeartRadio app. And welcome to Friday,
the eighteenth of October twenty twenty four. Because it's Friday,
it'll be Friday with forty five Trump leading in a
lot of the swing state polls, leading nationally in two
of the three big polls. Should be in good spirits.
(01:00):
We'll find out one hour from now. If you're just
waking up, there was the big news of the Hamas leader.
I think, I say, yeah, yeah, Shinoa, is that how
I say? It almost sounds good to me. Yeah, doesn't
really sound very Arabic to me. But anyway, taken out
by Israeli forces in the Gaza, the continued precision targeting
(01:24):
strikes against the proxies. As you know, Iran funds has Balahamas,
the houthis Hamas was.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
The one that invaded Israel.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
They have since taking out virtually all of the leaders
both of Hamas and has Balah in terms of the proxies.
And then of course we're waiting on Israel's response to
Iran for firing one hundred and eighty one missiles from
Iran on Israel, and.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
It would have made the most sense to me.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
You know, if you're gonna surgically take out the heads
of these terrorist organizations as you've done and remove the
threat from the proxies, if you're going to try to
push the clock back and hold Iran accountable, I would
think not allowing them to become a nuclear nation with
(02:15):
a nuclear weapon, take out their enrichment facilities, or take
out their oil that they've been selling and using the
money to fund these proxies and terrorist attacks, but there's
been other indications that it'll be more of a proportional
strike on Iranian forces. Either way, it's got a lot
worried about escalation. Now, we used to talk about the
(02:37):
Israel problem that the Democrats have in rhetoric. You know,
people forget this, but they're a divided party and a
party really under attack from within the socialist Democrats or
the Justice Democrat movement. They don't target Republicans. Their first
and foremost goal is to take over the party, and
(03:00):
as you can tell by the way they control the party,
they're halfway there. We always bring up aoc She's a
great example. She took out a ten term Democrat to
get her House seat and be the first building block
of the squad.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Oh girl, baby girl, And there is.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
But their goal is to first take over the Democrat Party,
then remove the electoral college and dismantle the republic.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
So that's a real problem with Israel.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Now, Democrats also have a problem in the establishment of
their party that if they don't stand with Israel and
stand by Jews, that's a huge voting block. So what
they try to do is sit on the fence and
play both sides. They'll look you right in the igo.
Israel has every right to defend itself, but they'll never
talk about these terrorist organizations. They'll never talk about Iran specifically,
(03:55):
or Lebanon or Syria because they're trying to walk the fence.
They don't want to upset set the Arab Americans or
the Muslims supporters within their voting blocks. So they'll look
you right in the eye and say, well, Israel's ever
right defendants up, but it's got to stop what it's
doing or we're going with whole weapons and it's this
is sole in between. Now here's the good news. When
(04:15):
push comes to shove, at least under Joe Biden, he
stands by Israel. When those missiles were flying from Iran
to Israel, the American ships were just offshore a part
of the blocking process. Not that Israel needs that much
help with the iron dorment, a dome and other systems.
But how big of a problem is it. Well, apparently
(04:39):
we got to add a now to the list. They
got an eye problem Israel if they support Israel too much.
But they're not supporting Muslims and Arabs enough. And that's
why the Arab American News won't endorse Herois or Trump.
They say both candidates have ignored their needs. It really
is one of those moments you have to pick a side.
(05:03):
Someone's right and someone's wrong. Now that's a matter of perspective,
you know. There's kind of like a matrix in terms
of this civilization war too. For Muslims most I mean
there's three different Muhammads. So there's three different kinds of Muslims.
(05:23):
For the peace loving ones, they're not involved in this.
But for the political Muslims, they play patiently for the
generation to come where they will conquer and rule the world.
And then for the Jihadis, like Ran, you create that moment,
so if you really get the push comes to show up,
they're like, well, of course, eventually, we've got to destroy
(05:44):
Israel in America, We've got to kill the Jews and
the Christians if we're going to rule the world.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
So their view is kind of like the same thing
in this election.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
There are conservatives or Republicans that sit at their table
and go, I cannot believe that there's any idiot it's
in this country that are going to vote for Kamala Harris. Meanwhile,
the other half of the country that's supporting Kamala Harris
is sitting at dinner and they can't understand. I can't
believe there's idiots they're going to vote for Donald Trump. Well,
the same is true with this issue and the lesson
(06:15):
of this story. The middle, you achieve nothing, the great
line and revelations because you were neither hot nor cold.
I spit you out of my mouth. That spit comes
from the Greek word meaning to projectile, vomit. That's how
God views this in the middle on a fence, choose
(06:38):
this day whom you're going to serve.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Now.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Geopolitically, you would want to serve the country that represents
democracy surrounded by tyrannical terrorist nations. You would want to
stand by your trust, a true earned friend. But this
is a problem for the Democrats and it has been
(07:01):
since this election began. One other quick story a percentage
of favoring policy ideas related to immigration. It's a Fox
News poll and it shows in September of twenty fifteen,
deporting immigrants who are living in the United States illegally
back to their home countries, fifty two percent of Americans
supported that in twenty fifteen, nine years later, who knows
(07:23):
how many tens of millions of illegal immigrants later, that
number is now up to sixty seven percent. So when
you hear Kamala Harris at the left say things like
they want to deport people, that's not American. We need
these workers. We're going to separate children and deport seven
out of nearly seven out of ten Americans support that
allowing the legal immigrants to have jobs in the United
States to apply for legal status. In twenty fifteen, that
(07:46):
was sixty eight percent. The dream's not so much a dream.
It's down to fifty eight percent. And if you break
down the numbers from November twenty fifteen to October of
twenty twenty four, thirty three percent and twenty fifteen of
non white voters supported deportation, that's up to fifty seven percent.
(08:09):
Now there's a big black voting block that could be
when we do the post mortem on this election of
Kamala Harris loses that we will point to and swing
districts of swing states and say that's why she lost.
And we've identified at the beginning of the week the bullseye,
which is black male voters eighteen to forty four. It's
(08:30):
literally at the lowest level since nineteen sixty and in
half from twelve years ago. And I kept pointing people
to Chicago, where a lot of black voters were upset
their facilities, their funds are all being taken up for illegals.
The biggest mistake the Democrats made was moving the illegals
(08:51):
from the border and dispersing them throughout the country. That's
when they made it not a border crisis but an
American crisis. Republicans in twenty fifteen, seventy percent supported deportation.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Now it's ninety one percent.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Rule voters fifty five to seventy five percent, urban voters
forty four to sixty three percent, men fifty.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Six to seventy two.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
In fact, if you want to find one week area,
it's among the Democrats only, but even that's grown from
thirty four to forty two percent.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
No matter what narrative games are played, they always die
of consequence and reality. And the reality is the American people,
if you let it get crazy enough, eventually can't help
but see right from wrong, legal from illegal, and actions
(09:50):
that will really right the wrong. In fact, you could
almost make the case.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
In this election cycle, whether it's Congressman senators or Donald
Trump's camp in this presidential race.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
They're not talking about deportation enough. This is your Morning
Show with Michael Del Trono. You're just waking up. You're
probably wondering, what are the odds Donald Trump is gonna
win this election? To the your morning show, sportsbook we.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Go and our bookie, big job. So Trump expanded his
betting odd leads. He's now minus one forty eight. He's
plus one forty four, biggest odds to this date. And
by the way, this polymarket guy he's rating Trump big
plus sixty percent.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
We're saying, everybody, line up, run and whatever, and thank
you one and all on Donald truck.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
And I might add to a I kind of think
I like, uh, Georgia and the points this weekend there
added that Top five Stories of Today.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Well, as you know, Kamala Harris snubbed the Al Smith
Memorial Foundation dinner and phoned in a SNL type skit
instead of showing up in person. That hasn't happened since
Walter Mondale only know how that worked out for him.
The former president of Trump did show up and did
speak and was a huge hit. Mark Mayfield has his story.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Trump addressed the crowds and said he was just happy
to show up anywhere without a subpoena tradition.
Speaker 6 (11:29):
Halls that I'm supposed to tell a few self deprecating
jokes this evening, so here it goes.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Nope, I've got nothing.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
He called Harris a very disrespectful for non making an
appearance at the event. The event, held in New York,
benefits Catholic Chariteys and was hosted by comedian Jim Gaffigan,
who also heavily criticized Vice President Harris for not attending.
Harris instead address the audience with a pre recorded video
message where she praised the dinner for supporting the charitable
works of the Catholic Church. She also made several jokes
about ump and a skit with comedian Molly Schennon, noting
(12:02):
she was glad there was a fact checker there that night. Jesus,
I'm Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Meanwhile, Minnesota Governor Tim Walls is going to get back.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
On the TV circuit. Oh, I do'll close the deal.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
The vice presidential nominee is set to appear on Monday
on the View and The Daily Show. Walls is expected
to discuss the Democratic tickets agenda in the final weeks
leading up to the November fifth election. I came up
with King Knucklehead in his court. Jeffrey came up with
the knucklehead walls. Yeah, knucklehead wolves, but you ought to
just because people mispronounce it and say waltz yeah instead
of walls. It's actually better with the mispronunciation the knucklehead
(12:37):
waltz yeah.
Speaker 7 (12:38):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
And then who was the one from the home office.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Knucklehead Network, Knucklehead Network. Yes, seven million people watched Brett
Bear's interview with Kamala Harris Live. That's a staggering number
for three o'clock in the afternoon on the West coast.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
In sixth Eastern.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Liam Payne's former One Direction bandmates say completely devastated over
the news of his death.
Speaker 8 (13:02):
Brian Shook has More, Harry Styles, Nile Horn, Louis Tomlinson,
and Zane Malick released a joint statement Thursday. The bandmates
said there will be more for them to say in time,
but for now they'll take some time to grieve and
process their loss. They went on to say the memories
they shared with pain will be treasured forever. Paine died
(13:23):
at the age of thirty one Wednesday, after falling from
the third story of his hotel in Argentina. I'm Brian Shook.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
The family of the former One Direction singer Liam Payne
says their heartbroken following his death.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Michael Kasser has their side. Seems to me when a
dad these bruns Booby written must.
Speaker 9 (13:43):
Payne died at the age of thirty one on Wednesday
after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina. In a
statement released Thursday, his family said Liam will forever live
in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind,
funny and brave soul. It's not known if Pain's fall
was intentional or an accident. Fans gathered outside the hotel
(14:03):
Wednesday and night to hold the vigil for the British musician.
He leaves behind a young son.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I'm Michael Kassner, The father of a Long Island native
taken hostage by Hamas, is hoping the killing of the migrant,
the militant group's leader, will lead to their son's release.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Kristin Marx reports.
Speaker 10 (14:20):
Ronan Neutra says they've been hearing all along that Yaya
Sinoar is the major obstacle in reaching a deal. But
now he's finally been eliminated, and Israel has reached most
of its goals.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Except one releasing off the hostages.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
This is the time for the use of administration to
step in and say enough is enough.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Senor is gone. We're doing everything to bring to hostages.
Speaker 10 (14:40):
Omar Nutra, who grew up in plain View and later
joined the Israeli Army, was just twenty one when he
was taken cantive by Hamas on October seventh. His family
has refused to give up and has been working NonStop
with officials in Washington and the Middle East to get
Omar home. Kristin Marx, NBC News Radio, New York.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
No, not long ago, as a freshman in high school,
I watched every night as we counted the days our
hostages were held in Iran. Here I find myself an
adult watching US hostages being held by an Iranian proxy
and nothing.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
I'm going to wash that man right out of my hair.
I'm going to wash that man right out of my head.
And if you know it as wash that right right
out of my hair.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Well.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
That came later.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Actress Mitzi Gainor has died at the age of ninety three.
Her management team said she passed away peacefully of natural causes.
Gainer best noted for her musicals in the fifties, probably
best known for her own nineteen fifty eight South Pacific,
and she was also on the nineteen sixty four At
Sullivan Show. Really most don't remember because that was the
night the Beatles also appeared.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Hi, it's me Michael.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Your morning show can be heard on great stations across
the country like Talk Radio eleven ninety in Dallas, Fort Worth,
Freedom one oh four point seven and Washington, d C
and five point fifty k FYI and Phoenix, Arizona. We'd
love to be a part of your morning routine or
take us along on the drive to work, but as
we always say, better late than never. Enjoy the podcast.
Rio Niels here, our national correspondent. We're just talking moments
(16:08):
ago about Israel surgically taking out the leader of Hamas
in the Gaza area, and this is more of that,
you know, taking off the head of the snake of
the proxies as we still await on the response to
Iran that attacked them with one hundred and eighty one missiles.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
But what is this, what does this mean to this
ever expanding war in the Middle East. Yeah, we're all.
Speaker 7 (16:30):
Asking that question right now. I make the comparison to
the weed. Did you just you know, cut off the
top of it or did you get it by the route?
And we have heard since October seventh of last year,
Benjamin Yawho say his objective is to eliminate Hamas once
and for all. After they got the confirmation that Sinwar
had been killed, we heard from net Yao, who's telling
(16:51):
the people living in Gaza, saying, you know, here is
your chance to you know, stop letting Hamas rule you
and rule over you there in Gaza. This is your opportunity.
Will be there to support you if you do that
and make this final push to eliminate this terror group
from the region. We did hear from President Biden within
the hour saying that this is also an opportunity. Here
(17:13):
to a window of opportunity to get the hostages released,
to bring around a ceasefire, and to get more aid
there into Gaza for the people who are suffering.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Tough one to understand an ocean away, especially with the
Western mentality, Israel is surrounded by enemies. We had nine
to eleven, well, we had the World Trade Center attack
in ninety three, but then nine to eleven.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Then we never had a nine to twelve yet, thank god.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
This is something that happens virtually every decade for them,
and what normally happens is hostages are taken, then you
beat them back and beat them down, they release the
hostages and everything's just kind of the can is kicked
back and you buy yourself five to seven years of security.
And this time they kind of went a little too
far and they've got a lot more surgical and it's
gone on for a year, but they've done a lot
(17:57):
of damage to these surrogates, and the natural progression rory
is that they plan to do the same after they're
done with the surrogates. With Iran the epicenter of where
the problem really is. That's what's got people very troubled.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
Right because Iran is the bank for these terror groups
like Hamas, like Hesbola, like the Hutis and Yemen. So
there are you know, Iran is funding all of this
so and has been more direct in launching these attacks
from Iran into Israel. So let's see, you know how
Israel responds to that. And now to this latest let's
go out of complication.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, and you know there's the age old. So you
take out how are you saying, are you saying Yaya Sinhar?
Speaker 1 (18:40):
I am okay?
Speaker 2 (18:41):
So you take out Yaya Sinhar, there's just another one
waiting in the wings. But at what point, like we
did we felt when bin Laden finally got it and
that was one for justice, you know, and when we
got the planners in the architects of nine to eleven,
that was one for justice and closure. What do we
know about the actual Hamas game planners and executors and was.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
He one of them?
Speaker 7 (19:08):
Well, he was believed to be the mastermind of October seventh.
We know that they've also taken out other top leaders
of Hamas in the past, in the past year, but
many of the leadership there in Hamas, so it's a
Israel and the IDEF have taken out a lot of
these members at the top, and now there is a
lot of chaos. And you said there's always someone to
(19:30):
replace them, Yeah, but it's also oftentimes a bit watered
down because not everyone agrees with the replacement. There can
be infighting that follows with the new person who's been
put in charge, and you know, there can be some
fractures as a result of some of these leadership shakeups.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
So, and that's what you hope for.
Speaker 7 (19:46):
By the way, when you're trying to take down an
organization like this.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
A major major takeout by Israel in the Gaza. Now
we wait to see when they'll respond to Iran and
will be oil fields, nuclear enrichment plants or troop and
key infrastructure. Time will tell good reporting. Worry Brow's gonna
be back next hour. We can always give Ory the
final say and he will take that. Next hour we
(20:10):
talk about the panel setup for Donald Trump's assassination attempt.
All right, if you're just waking up, these are the
top five stories today. Things you need to know headed
to work. I guess you would call this Brian Shooks
our snub. I mean road to the White House.
Speaker 8 (20:24):
Road to the White House.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
Twenty twenty four.
Speaker 8 (20:27):
Former President Trump spoke at twenty twenty four's Alfred E.
Smith Memorial Foundation dinner Thursday evening. Trump addressed the crowds
and said he was just happy to show up anywhere
without a subpoena.
Speaker 9 (20:39):
Tradition halls that.
Speaker 6 (20:40):
I'm supposed to tell a few self deprecating jokes this evening.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
So here it goes.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Nope, I've got nothing.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
I've got nothing.
Speaker 8 (20:53):
He called Vice President Harris very disrespectful for not making
an appearance at the event. He also told the crowds
it's vital that they all get out and vote next month,
and said that the Catholics better vote for him in Washington.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
I'm Brian Shook.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
There are growing concerns that Americans military bases are being
spied on by drone aircraft.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Michael Cassner has that story.
Speaker 9 (21:15):
It's something that Texas lawmakers were warned about at a
hearing this week.
Speaker 7 (21:20):
Citizens of the People's Republic of China have been using
drones to fly over military bases and other sensitive sites
at truly alarming rates.
Speaker 9 (21:28):
Adam Klein, who heads the Strauss Center at UT Austin,
called on state lawmakers to help local cops track down
those who are flying the drones. That's because shooting down
the drones is banned unless they pose a threat. Ariel
snooping does not qualify. Drones started to appear over military
bases in December, triggering emergency White House meetings. I'm Michael Cassner.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Well, I'm not sure if this is including vaping or
other drugs of choice. But we do have some good
news with our youth. Tobacco use among American teenagers is
at a new low. Ark Mayfield has that good news story.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
On Thursday, the CDC and FDA announced that teen tobacco
use is now the lowest it's been in the last
twenty five years. The number of teens who use any
kind of tobacco has dropped from two point eight million
and twenty twenty three to two point two million. Vaping
specifically saw a big drop over the last year, from
two point one million to one point six million. The
CDC says teen cigarette smoking is very low now at
(22:25):
just one point four percent among teens in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
I'm Mark Mayfield at eight dollars a pack. I think
I get a.
Speaker 11 (22:33):
Country music superstar Morgan Wallin will hold his own music
festival in Alabama next year called Sands in My Boots
It Let the Beach May sixteenth through the eighteenth in
the Golf Shores. Wallin's festival will take place at the
same beachside location as AEG's Hangout music festival. Not yet
clear if Sands in My Boots is replacing Hangout, which
(22:55):
was headlined by Zach Bryan. In twenty twenty four, Wallin
and Aeg reveal the fall line the full lineup, and
ticket information for the new festival at a later date.
In sports, like I said, it's been the greatest Major
League Baseball postseason I think since the late seventies.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
And yesterday was it in a nutshell. Cleveland led two
to one throughout the game. You think there's no way
Yankees are going to come back.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
This series is going to go to two to one.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Then you get a two run homer by Judge, then
a solo blast back to back by Stanton. Then the
Guardians are one pitch away from the game being over,
and their rookie has a two run homer to send
it in to extra innings five to five, and then
a two run homer by Fryan in the tenth, and
(23:44):
Cleveland gives their fans, and I know there's some who
left their fans one of the most glorious victories in
Indian Guardian history, seven to five over the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Yankees still lead the series two games to one.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Game four in Cleveland tonight at seven, Dodgers big over
the Mets ten to two. That would be what in
the Dodgers three wins twenty seven to two. That's how
dominant they are over the Mets and up three games
to one and one game away from the World Series
Game five in New York this afternoon at four oh eight.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Hey, I'm Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton, and my morning
show is your Morning Show with Michael del Jorno.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Josh emailed me back. Josh came up with tall Tail,
Tim teaches the trolls. I came up with the King
Knucklehead in his court. You came up with the knucklehead Waltz,
which is a mispronunciation of his name.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Walls. Not so fast, Josh.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
My corporate chef George Harvell from Camp Cooperluca just sad.
Then Climbing the Walls tour, he goes with the real
pronunciation of his name, Climbing the Walls Tour. We're trying
to name the We had Kamala Palooza where she started
going on every show in an interview. Now Monday, they're
gonna whip out Minnesota governor and VP candidate Tim Walls,
(25:08):
the King of gaffes. He'll be on the View and
the Daily Show on Monday. So we were trying to
figure out what we could call this world. Tim Walls
Tour election days less than three weeks away. Former President
Trump spoke at the twenty twenty four Alfred E. Smith
Memorial Foundation dinner to honor Catholic charities. Virtually every president
(25:28):
in Canada has been to this. The only one who's
ever snubbed this before was Walter Mondale, who went on
to lose big to Ronald Reagan. Didn't phone it in,
videoed it in while she stayed in the campaign trail
was Kamala Harris. It was very heavily criticized and then
a very cringey, kind of a SNL type skit that
she mailed in with Molly Shannon didn't go over very big.
(25:50):
And the Guardians have turned the alcs into a true series.
What an amazing one of the greatest playoff games I
think in forty years, and Yankees were down throughout, came
back with back to back homers, but then with one
strike to go, a rookie pinch hits and gets a
(26:11):
two run homer to send its extra innings, probably gets
the two run homer and the walk off and the
Guardians win. They're not just Beejee's staying alive. They got
a lot of momentum. Yankee still up two games to one,
but Game four is coming up later today. All right,
John Decker's here, you know, John, I'm going to turn
to brit Hume. Seems to me obstruck by that today's
(26:32):
topic is something that kind of came up organically while
you and I were talking out of the air. Did
you use one of our segments to give you a
national idea?
Speaker 3 (26:41):
No, I've been talking about that for quite some time.
Credit I brought it up, and I said to myself,
you know what, I need to broaden this out and
speak to not just all of the markets that you
speak to, Michael, but the rest of the iHeart world.
So that's why your topic we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
You're lucky. You're lucky, I gin You're my favorite. All right.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
So what came up yesterday was one of the big
unknowns as we head into three weeks till the election.
One big unknown is can you trust polls? And so
everybody's following these and they're within the margin of errors
and that could be a dangerous game. But what you
said was will Republicans who didn't vote for Donald Trump
in the primaries, show up and vote for him on
election day, and then you started going through some of
(27:22):
the swing states and the percentages now and that was
you know, during Nicki Haley and post Nicki Haley. To
be fair, so explain to them your theory, because it
really is a big question mark that speaks to how.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Many will just not vote for Donald Trump no matter what,
and will they stay at home?
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Well, keep in mind, I think you know, it's important
to keep in mind that I'm not saying that the
vast majority of individuals who didn't vote for Donald Trump
in the primaries are not going to vote for him
in the general election. But it's an unknown. We don't
know that number. I've yet to see polling which indicates
these numbers. And where these people go. Do they say,
(28:00):
you know what, now that it's between Trump and Harris,
I'm going with Trump. Do they say I'm just not
voting for president or do they say, you know what,
I'm going to do like Dick Cheney and I'm going
to vote for Kamala Harris. That's the unknown that we
simply don't know the answers to. And as I pointed
out to you yesterday, the numbers of Republicans, at least
in the primaries that didn't vote for Donald Trump, who
(28:21):
to me was the incumbent. I mean, you know, he's
been president, he's the leader of the Republican Party. But
the numbers are pretty staggering, you know when you look
at the swing states and the results that took place
in the primaries back in the spring.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
All right, Now, I could do the reverse of that
and ask you what about in some of the primary states,
or we saw some of the far left of the
Democrat Party not willing to vote necessarily for Joe Biden.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Will they for Kamala Harris?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Do they see Kamala Harris more squad than establishment Democrat
and progressive like Joe Biden.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
I mean, that's an unknown too, right.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
It is an unknown. But unfortunately, you know, in terms
of trying to put your finger on the pull, it's
not apples to apples. And the reason why it isn't
apples to apples is because it was Joe Biden on
the ballot. It wasn't Kamala Harris on the ballot. And
some of those people said, I'm not voting for the guy,
the guy's too old. Well that's not an issue as
(29:15):
it relates to Kamal Harris. Some of them said, I'm
not voting for Joe Biden or Harris because of their
policies in the Middle East. Really depends. You can't get
inside the head of every voter out there. But that's
why it's a little easier to look at the numbers
on the Republican side than on the Democratic side, because
in the spring, as now, Donald Trump was at the
(29:37):
top of the ticket, but in the spring it was
Joe Biden who was at the top of the ticket
for the Democratic Party.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Yeah, I were talking to John Decker, our White House correspondent.
You know, my job is really to represent the listeners,
not politicians, and you know, so on, and I would
imagine there's some looking at the radio saying, well, wouldn't
that be absorbed and evident in the polls? Now, again,
if you scream at the radio, I don't believe in polls,
and then we don't have any discussed until after all
the votes are counted. But you would assume that these
(30:04):
unanswered questions are somewhat answered in the polls by the
questions about how are you better off? And boy, did
that look disastrous for Kamala Harris or you know, in
that there's only like in some cases, two percent undecided.
The rest is all there. They've made their decision. Isn't
that kind of covered in that? Assuming you can trust Poles.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Well, that's that's the big assumption, you know, And so
what you have to go with is do you trust
poles or do you trust actual results?
Speaker 1 (30:34):
And we don't know what it's a.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Portion of America that doesn't trust the results.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Either, John, that's unfortunate.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
I don't know what to do with that.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
You have to make your choice. You have to make
your choice. If you're out there in America, you know
which ones you trust. It's it's really a binary choice.
But in any case, this is the unknown. And to me,
this unknown You and I don't know the answer to it.
No one that's listening to us, you know, discuss this
knowes the answer with certainty. This is the unknown that
(31:04):
will be answered in the aftermath of this upcoming presidential
election eighteen days from now. And to me, I think
this will decide This answer will decide who wins in
the November election.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
We're all in this together. This is Your Morning Show
