Speaker 2 (00:16):
But better late than never. Enjoy the podcast two three.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Starting your morning off right, A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding because we're in the studiable.
This is your Morning Show with Michael O'Dell Jordan.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Thank you, Mike McCann.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Seven minutes after the hour, Welcome to Wednesday, November the twentieth.
Ye about Lord twenty twenty, I give you permission to
slap everyone in the face that calls doctor Oz TV
celebrity doctor or TV's doctor Guys a cardiologist. By the way,
was it Rader you that brought up the point that
both doctor Phil and Doctor Oz were products of Oprah?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
That was Coyote rid boy. How they have risen and
she has fallen?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Ukraine is firing American missiles into Russia. Meanwhile, our hotline
between the Kremlin and the White House, it's out of
order is really Prime Minister bb Net Yaho is offering
a five million dollar reward for each hostage released from
the kaza. This is one of the great failures of
the Biden administration. We've been saying this now for over
a year. These hostages are all dead, including American hostages
(01:30):
that apparently nobody in the media or the administration cared about.
And the Ethics Committee is expected to meet today to
decide whether or not to release the report on Matt Gates. Meanwhile,
a hacker comes forward and says, I've already hacked it.
So I wonder if that'll play a role in and
how they plan to release it before the hacker does
or not. Time will tell. We'll keep an eye on that.
(01:53):
Today I mentioned that this could this could literally this
could have to be in two parts. We have sounds
of the day, we catch what's viral. You know, I'm
fascinated how you would do yourself a favor to stop
reading news, stop scrolling social media, and just read memes.
(02:13):
It's like, in this sea of information, here are these
memes as little like the signs of truth in the
midst of the lies and the chaos and sounds of
the day can be that way too. As we listen together,
she's going to get Oh, hey, I don't know how
to do that.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
That was my fault? How was it your fault? I'd
love to blame you. I'll just take the blame for Oh,
so it wasn't really your fault. She's going to get smoked.
He's got to stopped. I really don't know what he
said at the end of this sentence. I don't think
he knows what he said either. It's got to be
a big bits understanding. How do you like my garbage?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
But you know, it's interesting sometimes we have two Americas,
the inside the belt Way, those that are supposed serving
us and in governance, and how they live and then
how they force us to live.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Well that this kind of falls under that. All right, So.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
You you have a bill coming forward because you have
somebody born with a male genitalia who now thinks he's
a woman and now is a member of Congress and
come January, plans to go into the women's room.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Now, this has been.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Going on in the real world for years, with our daughters,
locker rooms, bathrooms. Here's an ABC reporter on the steps
of the Capitol and he he sees the congresswoman, so
he tells the cameraman, follow me.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
There she is. Listen. Here she goes. Here's Conway and Mace, Congewinn.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Mace asked your question as you walk here, This is
ABC that no one's watching, no one's advertising on, and
nobody cares what they think. Thinking he's going to have
his real gotcha moment with Congresswoman Mats Listen.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
So the question is with your piece of legislation about
banning women from using Yes, my question to you is
it doesn't go far enough. You have said that it
was created in response.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
To Congressoman like percent, and it.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Should legislation be created targeted at one specific person.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
It doesn't mention anyone in the legislation.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
But you've said it it was aimed at her.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
No, I have said it's a result of this. I'm
not going to allow biological men into women's private spaces.
I will stand in the brink and stand in the
way of anyone on the radical laugh who thinks that
it's okay for a penis to be in a women's
locker room, or a bathroom or.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
A changing room.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
Hell no, I'm not going to stand for it. And
the speakers said it would be in the House rules package.
If it's not, I'll be ready with a motion, a
privileged motion, to force a vote on this.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
This is not okay.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
I'm a super rape, I'm a survivor of sexual abuse,
and I'm not going to allow any man in any
female private space.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Speaker ended story.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
And by the way, I'm getting death threats from men
pretending to be women. Why is it that these crazy people,
the insanity the radical left, are wanting to kill women
over a man's right to be in a women's restaurant, Speaker.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Johnson has said.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Segar Johnson has said he wants to treat every new
member with the words dignity and respect.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Forcing this congress person to.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Go into a male restroom is that dignity and respect.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Forcing women to share private spaces with men is not
dignity and not respect. And I'm absolutely going to stand
in the way of anyone who thinks it's okay for
a man to be in our locker room and our
changing rooms, and our dressing rooms and women's bathrooms. And
in fact, if you agree with that, you're crazy.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
And if that's a gotcha moment, I'll let you decide
who got who? There is a feeling in the air
that wokeness is on the decline. It always takes one case,
one issue to set something in motion. Is that the
(06:08):
one and we were talking earlier about Joe Rogan. The
left in the New York Post is trying to figure out,
where do we get a Joe Rogan? Where we getting
Elon Musk. You had Elon Musk, you had our FK Junior,
your head, Telsey Gabbert, you had Joe Rogan.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
You lost them, You goofballs.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Meanwhile, the real Joe Rogan, and we talked about, you know,
Joe Rogan was a powerful piece of this puzzle along
with Elon Musk. The biggest mistake Joe Rogan could make
now is to become political every day.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
That's not why people went there.
Speaker 6 (06:45):
Now.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
To be political in a short season, and even to
an endorsement a candidate, That's fine. I go back to
being the Joe Rogan that got you to the millions
of listeners. Here's an example of it. This is the
kind of stuff that made Joe Rogan so popular, all
this fighting over transgendered member of Congress, and he.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Asked this question, why doesn't the view have any trans
women on it. Great point. It has a lot of
women that look trans, but none of them.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
It has a lot of second and third takes after
a drinking uh.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Huh, but it doesn't have a ton of Yeah, why
doesn't the view have any transgendered women on its show?
Next we go to and by the way, there was
one guy that was on this panel and they were
talking about who's the future of the Democrat Party and
one of them said, John Stewart that it has to
(07:42):
be a game changer, like a John Stewart. Well, here's
John Stewart addressing what we addressed earlier in the week,
which was the Morning Joe cast, who said Donald Trump
is Hitler himself and all those that are voting for
him are Nazi Germans. Then, after Trump wins, they briefed
their audience. Oh, by the way, he went and met
with him and listen.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
Meanwhile, Joe and Mika Brazinski Scarborough, who famously warned of
the growing threat of Trump's fascism, also had an interesting
announcement to make last Thursday.
Speaker 8 (08:11):
We expressed our own concerns on this broadcast and even
said we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the
President elect himself. On Friday, we were given the opportunity
to do just that. Joe and I went to mar
A Lago to meet personally with President elect Trump. And
for those asking why we would go speak to the
(08:33):
President elect during such fraught times, especially between us, I
guess I would ask back.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Why wouldn't we because you said he was hitler?
Speaker 1 (08:46):
So I mean, I look at I'm just enjoying. You know,
for those of you that know anything about snakes, what
they do is they squeeze and then you kill yourself
because every time you act sale, they squeeze tighter and
you can't inhale. That's kind of what the Democrats are
doing to themselves. Some get it, some are caught in
(09:07):
the squeeze. This is just sad. Okay, this is something
you know. David is and I was going to join us.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
In the third hour.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
We're going to talk about what are five reasonable expectations
for a Donald Trumps second presidency? Because he can't get
that much done, So what are the things he can
get done reasonably? And what are the things he can
only get started? And hand off maybe to Jade Vance
and Telsea Gabbert, or maybe to Marco Ruby or whoever.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Ends up being his successor.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
One of the things I hope that is restored is
transparency and communication. And this goes back to Barack Obama.
That's where it began. Obama was the first to play
the games with if you're a White House correspondent in
the press room, we pre screen your questions, and if
you don't do the question we approved, you never get
access to me.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Again, that was kind of the beginning of it. Then
they just started ignoring.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
And then how many times now with Joe Biden, I
have to hear a loud helicopter or plane in the background.
Nobody will sit and have a conversation without screaming noise
in the background. Well, now he doesn't even bother to
talk with the noise, He just keeps walking. Now why
is this relevant, Well, for one, he did nothing to
(10:24):
stop Putin from invading Ukraine. When Putin invaded Ukraine, he
offered a getaway plane to the Ukrainian president, which if
he had taken Ukraine would be Russia.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Today.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Now is he's leaving and Donald Trump's coming. He's trying
to start World War three, authorizing long range US missiles,
which they began firing yesterday with North Korean troops in Russia.
Oh and the batphone that was installed after the Cuban
missile crisis with John F. Kennedy is out of service,
so there's no communication between Putin and whoever is really
(10:58):
running this country. And here's a reporter trying to have
access to the President of the United States on the
brink of war. And listen, that's a you know, if
(11:25):
I listen to it in one channel, you can hear
her more. She's screaming, mister President, happy early birthday, for
your birthday. Will you talk to us, sir? She starts
begging and screaming, as a gift to the press, would
you please talk to us?
Speaker 2 (11:41):
He just keeps walking. Then he starts going up the stairs.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Mister President, mister President, President Biden, please, we haven't heard
from you all trip, Mister President. This is the press
begging a president to speak to them. They're not even speaking.
These people aren't leading America, they're not serving America. They're
(12:04):
not even interested in talking to America. We really need
to impact that. This is an interesting one. So ourfk
jor He's got a simple charge. Fix our food, fix
(12:27):
our vaccines. Here's a United States senator, a former presidential candidate,
a Democrat talking about the very same thing. I'll let
you listen and you tell me if this sounds like
(12:48):
somebody that's going to vote against the confirmation of our
FK Junior. Here's Corey Booker. Listen to healthcare providers. See
that food is what is making people sick. And now
we need everyone to join our effort, to join this coalition.
(13:09):
I don't care if you're a Democrat, Republican, or independent.
Speaker 9 (13:12):
This isn't a partisan fight. It is literally a fight
for our lives. Look, join me, join us. Please pass
this video along and let me know if you are
ready to join the fight.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Sounds like somebody's ready to, you know. I guess the
Democrats might be surprised at how many Democrats voted for
Donald Trump, and they'll never be able to figure out
why is there another surprise coming in between now in
January and how many Democrats are going to support some
of these cabinet members that nobody sees coming. I'm going
to go ahead and do this one and be a
little late just so we can get done. This is
(13:47):
CNN's Harry Etton, who was a lone voice of wisdom
and reason throughout their one year long campaign denial, especially
after the switch to Kamala Harris, and he was showing
them the on the wall that she's going to get killed,
She's going to get killed, and they would just ignore it.
Now all of a sudden, you know, they're going to
(14:08):
him for comfort. And one of the things they wanted
to look at was all this information on social media.
To be very specific, how big of a role did
Elon Musk and X play listen.
Speaker 10 (14:21):
So the reason, one of the big reasons he bought
Twitter slash X is because he wanted to make it
his own platform, remake it in his own image.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
And I think this really gets at it.
Speaker 10 (14:30):
Look at this the party id Among those who regularly
use X slash Twitter for news. Back in twenty twenty two,
sixty five percent of those who regularly use Twitter slash
ex for news were Democrats just thirty one percent where Republicans.
Looked at where we are today just a completely different picture.
Now it's basically split between Democrats at forty eight percent
Republicans at forty seven percent. And what I should note,
(14:52):
mister Berman, is this now this new overall makeup matches
the overall electorate far better and more than that. More
than that, John, look at where mister Musk's net worth
is today versus where it was just two months ago.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
No, he didn't get any that networth from buying X.
X was a losing proposition. He did it to restore
freedom of speech, but to do the right thing, and
sometimes God watches and rewards. But his other efforts have
taken him from two hundred and fifty two million to
three hundred and fourteen billion, two hundred and fifty two
billion before now three hundred and fourteen billion. And you know,
(15:30):
I don't think he needs X to break even or
make money, but just shows you he's got a lot
of money and X isn't going anywhere. And it did
level the playing field, and it did play a key role,
as did Joe Rogan, as did the Trump campaign, as
did all their lawfare that allowed Trump to win the
primary without even running, as did their meddling and the
(15:50):
bait and switch with Kamala Harris the only person worse
than him. But as we keep saying over and over again,
at the end of the day, if they're trying to
figure out where do we get an elon Musk and
RFK Junior, Chelsea Gabbert to Joe Rogan. You had them
all and you pushed him aside.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
This is your Morning Show with Michael Deltno.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
I'm super excited, Eric, but I got to have clearance
from legal. I can't do it unless legal says, just
get back with that. I got to talk about all right.
One of the biggest stories of the day is installed
after the Cuban missile crisis, an emergency hotline between the
Kremlin and.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
The White House.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
There are reports Tammy Treehela will have more that it's
currently out of use. We have actually got We've actually
gotten a copy of the there it is. Can you
hear it? Yeah, you played it prematurely, so go ahead
and play it.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Again everybody there.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
That's the Kremlin trying to get a hold of Joe Biden.
But John Podesta is out of the country, so no
one's answering more. If you're a morning show, way to go,
Jeffrey six.
Speaker 6 (16:57):
Hi.
Speaker 8 (16:57):
I'm Andrew adel Giorno and my husband in my Morning
show is your Morning Show with Michael del Jorno.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Hi'm Michael.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I'd love to have you listen to your morning show
live every day We're heard on great stations like News
Talk five point fifty KFYI in Phoenix, News Radio eleven
ninety k EX in Portland, and ten ninety The Patriot
in c app Make us a part of your morning routine.
We'd love to have you listen live, but in the meantime,
enjoy the podcast. US provided the missiles, US gave them
permission to use them. That's the US attacking us, and
(17:33):
we can respond the same thing Jack Kennedy said about Cuba.
Any missile launched from that island in Cuba will be
seen as a direct attack by the Soviet Union on
the United States. Listen, I'm not whistling Dixie when I
tell you they used COVID to shut down Trump's first term.
They tried to use a fake insurrection to keep him
(17:56):
from ever coming back, and now he's back.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Are they going to.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Try to do a world war to distract this from happening?
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Time will tell.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
But then we find out the hot line installed for
communication between Moscow and the White House is out of order.
I have John Decker for seven thirty, but I'll take
him at six thirty piece here suffer him not.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
How long do we have Decker usually.
Speaker 11 (18:24):
I'm we've got a few minutes, how much give me.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
A time, because you know how I like to spend
time with you. We have at least five minutes.
Speaker 6 (18:31):
Yeah, that'll work, absolutely all right.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
You're a White House correspondent.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
What do you make of this story that the we
were going to do a funny little bit with our
talk back guy going hello, are you there? Is it
possible We're on the brink of a war and the
hot line between Moscow and the US is down?
Speaker 2 (18:46):
How's that? How does this happen?
Speaker 6 (18:48):
I don't know, you know, get at and t on
the line and figure it out what the problem is.
You've got problems with your phone lines? Right?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Hey wait, never, that's one of our tech commandments. We
don't bring up any mistakes out of the air. I
just did a whole bit rek the White Yeah, this
is the way I mean that that is, I mean,
that's a serious thing.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Not Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Maybe it's because uh, Podesta's out of state, out of
the country, so you know, he doesn't want Joe answering it.
But Joe's not even there to answer it. So I
hope they get that result. All right, This is a
very troublesome thing.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
That's brewing.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Then you have bb net and Yahoo offering what was it,
five million dollars for each hostage released. You and I've
had this conversation a million times. Does anybody think these
hostages are alive?
Speaker 6 (19:26):
You know, it's unlikely, certainly all of the hostages that
were taken on October the seventh of last year are
still alive. I think that families understand that, they realize
that it's just a sad situation all around.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Well, you're not as old as me, but and far
too successful to be younger than me. But you remember
the first hostage crisis, and of course they weren't released
until Ronald Reagan took the oath of office. But you know,
that was a nightly countdown. All the media was in,
you know, and they'd played the little clip from the
Beatles and they would mark, you know, day two hundred
and six of the hostage car This hostage crisis had
(20:02):
American hostages, and nobody from the media to the administration
seemed to track it or care.
Speaker 6 (20:09):
Yeah, it's really an unfortunate situation, and I feel for
the families that are dealing with, you know, their loved
ones that have been held hostage. For so long that
hostage crisis that you refer to four hundred and forty
four days, and of course those Americans released on Inauguration
Day of nineteen eighty one for Ronald Reagan. And there's,
(20:29):
you know, no light at the end of the tunnel
that I see for the hostages that have been held
by Hamas for well over a year.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
We've been having along John Decker's White House correspond He's
also a Supreme Court bar attorney and one of my
favorite correspondents. And actually today I got a couple of
minutes of them, so I don't have to feel rushed.
We were just having fun with The New York Post
did a piece and they're like, where are we going
to get our Joe Rogan? Others are asking where are
we going to get our Elon Musk, And just collectively
as a cast, we were like, do you realize it's
(20:57):
like the Herschel Walker trade. They got Liz and we
got Elon Musk, Rfk, Junior, Telsea Gabbard, and Joe Rogan.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
They had all of them and either pushed.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Him out or lost them, and now they got to
find a Joe Rogan. They couldn't compete and talk radio.
Can they compete in the birth of this new digital
podcast era. Time will tell, But there's a lot of
change in the air, including now Republicans in control of
the House, the Senate, and the administrative branch.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
What's Washington look like in the very.
Speaker 6 (21:26):
Few in your utory repeats itself, I remember those conversations.
You know, where's our Rush Limbaugh? You know that was happening,
of course, you know, and Limbaugh was at the height
of his popularity. But as it relates to Democrats, they're
out in the wilderness, and we'll be out in the wilderness,
you know, come new year. At reason things because they
don't control any levers of government, and they will remain
(21:48):
in the minority in the House. They are now in
the minority in the Senate, and of course they've lost
the White House.
Speaker 11 (21:54):
There's a super conservative majority at the Supreme Court.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
So this is the new reality. Yesterday I was at
a press conference with.
Speaker 11 (22:02):
House Democratic leadership and.
Speaker 6 (22:04):
Leader Jeffries is of course the minority leader in the
House of Representatives, and he.
Speaker 11 (22:10):
Said, look, things change, and they do.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
He's right about that.
Speaker 11 (22:13):
Things change quickly.
Speaker 9 (22:14):
You know.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
We'll see what happens at the midterm elections, typically the midterms,
the party not empower games seats. Whether that means that
Democrats read gain control of the House and the Senate
will have to wait and see.
Speaker 11 (22:25):
But that's a long way away.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Two years.
Speaker 6 (22:27):
You can get a lot done. If you're Donald Trump
and you have control of both the House and the Senate,
you do.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
We're going to have a conversation with Dave Snati next hour,
but I want to run it by you two And
that is what reasonably like for those that really, you know,
seven out of ten Americans thought we were heading in
the wrong direction. There is a mandate of change on
the issue of the border and on the issue of
the economy, not necessarily been the three twelve or you know,
six million more winning the popular vote, but a real
(22:53):
mandate on certain issues. What's a reasonable expectation for people
to have of what Donald Trump can and can not
accomplish in what may amount to be just one hundred
days or even less. And then what are the things
he can get started that could be you know, handed
off to a successor.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
Well, he can get started from day one with executive
actions that undo executive actions that were taken by President Biden.
So he can hit the ground running on.
Speaker 11 (23:19):
That front legislation.
Speaker 6 (23:21):
Yes he controls the House, Yes he controls the Senate,
but you need sixty votes to move legislation forward in
the Senate for most pieces of legislation. And that means
that you have to temper expectations in terms of what
Trump can accomplish with you know, fifty three members of
the Senate who may not always fall in line behind
(23:44):
the leadership as it relates to all of the issues
that will come before.
Speaker 11 (23:48):
The US Senate in the new year.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Do we have at least sixty seconds? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Okay, I want to do one more, all right, So
yesterday Joe Biden is you know, at the G twenty,
he's getting on the plane.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
He's saying goodbye.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
You've been a White House correspondent for many presidencies. I
kind of put my finger on the Obama presidency when
they started pre approving questions kind of a thing. And
then we got to where they're just giving comments with
a helicopter going or a plane motor and now you
have all that sound and they just walk right by.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
It's a reporter screaming.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Mister President, happy birthday, mister President. Can you give us
a birthday present, mister President. Then it turns into begging,
you haven't talked to us the entire trip, mister president.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
He just gets on the plane and leaves. Are you hoping?
Speaker 1 (24:31):
I don't care if it's going to be a Republican
Donald Trump, but even if it was a Democrat, somebody's
got to restore communication with the American people again.
Speaker 6 (24:39):
Well, I think that I speak for a lot of
my colleagues who covered the Trump White House. That is
something that we are looking forward to. Is that Donald
Trump up until a certain point, up until the November
twenty twenty election, he took questions from the press.
Speaker 11 (24:53):
Corps virtually every day, and not.
Speaker 6 (24:56):
A week would go by during the course of his
presidency where I did not have.
Speaker 11 (25:00):
Communication with Donald Trump. I cannot say the.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
Same thing for Joe Biden, and that's unfortunate. And I'm
looking for a return to that norm that Donald Trump
established when he was in the White House for four years.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yes, it's been a Democrat problem, but it's been an
American problem too, and it needs to be resolved not
just in these four years, but the many years to come.
That's why we know that's the vision, the founding fathers had.
The press is there to hold these people accountable to
the voters that entrusted them, and there just seems to
I mean, just to walk by. I mean, this woman's begging.
I would play the sound, but the noise is louder
(25:34):
than her. But she's screaming and she's begging, and I'm like,
what is going on? Let's hope this is one of
the many changes coming come January. Hey, we actually had
time to talk today John Decker, your White House correspondent
on your morning show.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
Always a pleasure, sir.
Speaker 11 (25:48):
Thanks Michael, have a great day.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Well, I will talk to you soon.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
It's your morning show with Michael del Chono.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
I was wrong.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
It was seven thirty four Eastern. That's central for John de.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
It looks like it looks like Jeffrey and Rader coming
to the mound to talk to the manager.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
I'm thinking, out there, what are you doing from taking off?
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Shake it off, let's get the next out. I like
what he said thirty four. I have more time to
talk with him. Good morning.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
It's fifteen minutes after the hour, ten minutes to be
to work on time on the East coast.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Thanks for waking up with your morning show.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Russia says Ukraine is launching US made missiles at its
armed forces.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Mark Mayfield reports.
Speaker 12 (26:35):
That's according to Moscow, which set it shot down five
US made missiles on Tuesday. It's the first time Ukraine
has launched the strike on Russia since President Biden gave
the okay for that country to use US weapons against Russia.
This comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin is updating his
country's nuclear doctrine. The Kremlin now will consider any aggression
from a non nuclear state that has help from a
(26:55):
nuclear country as a joint attack.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
On Mark Mayfield.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Meanwhile, emergency hotline that was put in place after the
Cuban missile crisis for talks between the Kremlin and the
White House is out of service.
Speaker 13 (27:06):
Kremlin Spokespersindmitri Peskoff said Wednesday that while the secure line
still exists, nobody's using it this after RuSHA updated it's
nuclear doctrine to lower the threshold for using nuclear weapons.
That move was in response to Ukraine using American made
long range missiles to strike further into Russia. The haline
was established in nineteen sixty three after the Cuban missile
(27:28):
crisis raised fears of a nuclear exchange. I'm Tammy Trho.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Donald Trump is nominating TV doctor and cardiologist Doctor Oz
to lead the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Brian
Shook has details.
Speaker 14 (27:41):
CMS oversees Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurmance Program, and
healthcare dot Gov, which currently provides coverage to nearly fifty
percent of Americans. Trump said Oz has been at the
forefront of healthy living for decades and will work alongside
Robert F. Kennedy Junior, who's been nominated to lead the
(28:01):
Department of Health and Human Services.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
I'm Brian Shuk's rough.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Day for the FEMA director in a House hearing yesterday
as FEMA being accused, well actually caught withholding aid from
anyone that was supporting Donald Trump and hurricane ravaged areas.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Lisa Taylor has that story.
Speaker 15 (28:19):
House Oversight Committee listened to testimony from FEMA Administrator Diane
Criswell after a FEMA official claimed relief workers were told
to avoid homes with Trump signs.
Speaker 16 (28:28):
I was very concerned when I learned a FEMA employee
had given instructions to a disaster survivor assistance team that
were completely at odds with FEMA's mission.
Speaker 15 (28:39):
That worker has said she's being made into a scapegoat
and was just following protocol. The aid was related to
Hurricane Helene.
Speaker 16 (28:46):
This employee wrote to about eleven staff members under her
supervision that they should quote avoid Holmes advertising Trump end quote.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
I'm Lisa Taylor.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
The trial of an illegal alien from Venezuela accused of
murder Lincoln Riley is moving swiftly. National correspondent Jack Crumley's
joining us with the latest. Good morning, Jack, Hey, good morning.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Well.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
The day before yesterday was powerful testimony from the alleged
killer's girlfriend on how they got from the Roosevelt Hotel
in Manhattan with a taxpayer flight to Atlanta, where the
crime allegedly involving him took place.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
What did yesterday hold for us?
Speaker 11 (29:27):
So yesterday it was when the prosecution ultimately.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Rested his case.
Speaker 17 (29:32):
Prior to resting, there was some more surveillance video showing
Lake and Riley as she was going out on that
run on that day in February. That surveillance video also
showing a shadowy figure walking around in the area.
Speaker 11 (29:44):
In the couple of hours before she went.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
On that run. Probably one of the most.
Speaker 17 (29:51):
Heartbreaking moments in the trial, coming as the prosecution was
reviewing one last time how Lake and Riley's phone, her
phone activity.
Speaker 11 (30:00):
Before she was killed, starting with a text that she
sent to.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
Her mom at fifty five saying good morning, going to
go for.
Speaker 17 (30:07):
A run if you're free to talk. Did not hear
from her mom. Then she called her again at nine
oh three, Mom was not able to answer. It was
at nine to eleven when Riley called nine one the
nine one one operator called back twice within a minute.
This is as the attack is going on. Quite possibly
the most tragic part of this information, you know, nine
(30:29):
twenty four is when Riley's mom called her back. Riley
didn't answer. Riley was unable to answer because we know
from data from her smart watch that her heart stopped
at nine twenty eight. The family has been in court,
you know, during the bulk of this proceeding, lots of crying,
just you know, reliving all.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Of this once again.
Speaker 11 (30:51):
So the prosecution has arrested.
Speaker 17 (30:53):
The defense is because presenting its case and I think
there's a good chance it will arrest.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Its case today. No debt penalty though right the case
they are going for life without the role tech.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Your report you know, there is no rhyme or reason.
Usually it's narrative based, agenda based. How some cases become
daily occurrences on television and then some simply get no
coverage just from a news perspective. Have you ever seen
such I mean Link and Riley?
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 1 (31:27):
It's one of the top names of the last you know,
campaign season. Very little coverage of this case. And this case,
you know, could be a tip of the Iceberg case,
and it could play a pivotal role. And Donald Trump
starting with the deportation of those with felony backgrounds.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
We're all in this together. This is your Morning Show
with Michael Hill, Joano
