Speaker 2 (00:26):
Well two three starting your morning off right, A new
way of talk, a new way of understanding.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Because morning hamas to release the hostages. Listen to this wording,
very very reaganesque. All right, the president rights. By the way,
there's three statements there are in all caps. So this
being a post on truth social this is him yelling.
Please let this all caps truth serve to represent that
(01:00):
if the hostages are not released prior to January twentieth,
twenty twenty five, the date that I proudly assumed the
office as President of the United States, there will be
now all in caps, all held to pay in the
Middle East and for those in charge who perpetrated these
atrocities against humanity. Trump added, those responsible will be hit
(01:23):
harder than anybody has ever been hit in a long time,
and that's in the storied history of the United States.
In all caps, he concludes, release the hostages now now.
Jimmy Carter meddled in Iran, and the shaw was gone,
and the Ayatola entered, and so was created the Islamic
(01:43):
Republic of Iran, one of the most predictable threats to
the world today, the one who's playing the real role
in all these proxies that are carrying out these atrocities.
Does Donald Trump mean Iran too? Here's the problem. They
don't know. When Jimmy Carter meddled, it created a hostage crisis.
(02:05):
The hostages weren't released until Ronald Reagan took the oath
of office. This is a reaganesque moment for Donald Trump.
Stephen Buchi knows his history, knows his foreign policy, and
joins us from the Heritage Foundation, with the largest think
tanks in the world. What do you make of this stern,
reaganesque warning from the president? And who's he talking to?
Because I think he's talking to Iran as much as anyone.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
I would agree with you on that. I think he
is talking to Iran to Hamas for the hostages, to
Hasbullah to stand down and maybe allow the ceasefire to
actually work in Lebanon side of the conflict. I think
(02:48):
President Trump is leveraging what he clearly sees as a
wave of changes in the world based on his election
that people understand and he is not Joe Biden, and
when he comes to office, there's going to be a
very very different view of actions both friendly and against us,
(03:13):
than there has been for the last four years. And good,
you know, good for him. He recognizes the trend. He
is hoping that it's gonna affect these guys, and I
think it will. So yeah, I agree with you. A
very Reaganesque move, And to be honest with you, I
(03:33):
think he'll follow through on it.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Oh he will.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Let me.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Let me ask it to you this way, because this
stops me dead in my tracks. You know, we were talking
about love songs and I picked this. Nobody knows me
like you, Anne Marie duet with Dave Loggins because I
love the bridge of it. When it says, what if
I never met you? Where would we be right now?
I mean the thought if I never met my wife,
there'd be no son, Nick, there'd be no daughters and Alex.
(03:59):
I wouldn't have had my best friend that I got
through the roughest times with. I mean, I can't even
imagine what it's a frightening stops me dead in my
tracks thought, great love song. Can you imagine if Ronald
Reagan hadn't been elected? Here's the thing that's tough to imagine.
Imagine a second term of Jimmy Carter. How might the
world have looked? How might of America played out? Oh,
(04:19):
I just can't go there. That's not going to happen.
Now we're going to get Donald Trump. But it's the
same people, the same military, the same country. But depending
on who's in charge, the world acts very different. There's
a lesson in that that goes beyond Trump, goes beyond Reagan,
that the American people must get because there'll be more
(04:41):
Jimmy Carter's and they'll be more Joe Biden's, but there
needs to be a lot more Donald Trump's than Ronald Reagan's.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Right, absolutely, you know, look, the American people have sent
a message, you know, and you could parson any way
you want. Well, was it a land slide? It is
a mandate. Look, the world is shifting, not just the
United States, but the world, and right now, the left
(05:08):
in America still does not get it. If you listen
to the news last night, you know, talking about the pardon,
and the most of the legacy media was you know,
in full defensive mode and you know, saying no, this
is different, this is the righteous thing to do. It's like,
wait a minute, you guys didn't want them to.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Do it either.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Why why are you circling the wagons here? Let's be real.
The world has changed. This last election, like all elections,
has consequences, and right now, for the next four years,
we should expect a lot of change in our country
and we should be enabling that change as voters, as citizens, uh,
(05:56):
we should be voicing our opinion, showing support to the
present and making sure that his efforts are not sabotaged
or torpedoed like they were, and not in large measure,
but to a larger extent than I was comfortable with.
The last time he was in.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Office, visiting was Stephen Bouchi from the Heritage Foundation filling
in for James Carafano, the lieutenant colonels out of the country.
So bottom line is journalism is dead. We've known it
for a long time. They're starting to realize it. They
know their ratings are dead, their revenue is dead, and
they don't have any credibility or influence that they couldn't
see after Trump beat Clinton. They clearly see now with
(06:36):
Trump beating Harris and Biden before that. So this is
a wake up call. And if they played to the
few that are left watching and listening and reading them,
they'll just quicken their death even further. What do you
think I kind of view this kind of like a
kamikaze presidency. Now, I think that whole pardon was really
about himself, not his son, and he'll eventually pardon his brother,
(07:00):
maybe even try to pardon himself. You can tell by
the date this has more to do with barisma than
it does a gun charge or tax evasion. What else
might this kamikaze president have in mind for these final days?
Speaker 3 (07:13):
Well, you know, I'm not sure. There's been some people
I've heard opining that, you know, he's trying to do
things to sort of fence Trump in so he can't
change the policies that he'll be stuck with him. I
think that's a fool's error. Trump doesn't care. It doesn't
matter whether it's the way things are normally done. If
(07:37):
Trump doesn't like the policy, He's just going to change
and the world can wring their hands and clutch their
pearls and swoon all they want. He doesn't care. He
is going to make the changes he believes are needed
for the country, and unless somebody somehow interferes with it
(08:00):
through court cases or things like they did the last time,
he's going to make these changes. His cabinet picks are
pretty obviously intentional disruptors of the system because Trump thinks
the system is broken and it needs to change, and
I think a majority of Americans agree with him.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
And I think it's setting up that he gets the
final say with the hostages all being released prior to
inauguration day. Hey Booch, don't think I ever forgot you.
So good to hear your voice again. I used for
about twelve years, we've done weekly visits with James Carafano,
and every time he couldn't be on, you'd fill in.
And I used to joke all the time, I think
I sometimes like you even better. It's so good to
(08:40):
hear your voice. God bless you, sir. I wish you
had merry Christmas. In a happy new Year, hopefully as well.
Hopefully we'll talk a lot in the new year. God
blessed Stephen Butchi with the Heritage Foundation.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chrono. This
is your morning show. I'm Michael del Jorno.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
President Elect Trump warning Hamas to really hostages from the
October seventh invasion by the time he takes the oath
of office or else, that or else belongs to anyone involved.
The Supreme Court discussing FDA's actions on flavored vapes, White
House denying President Biden lied when he previously said he
wouldn't partner his son Hunter, and US shoppers are on
(09:20):
pace to shatter holiday spending records, and the sactary of
Factory of Sadness continued for the Browns, who fell to
three and nine in the season, losing forty one to
thirty two to Denver. We've been gathering I'm assuming it's
mostly love songs on the talkbacks. Yeah, pretty much. All right,
who's the latest. Let's see I have a Brian that
always calls in.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Brian.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
One of the best love songs ever was by Rose
Royce Wishing on His Star, one of the greatest love songs.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
I remember Rolls Royce, but that's an old R and B.
Speaker 6 (09:56):
You know.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Yeah, Brian listens to No Claire Wisconsin, one of my
favorite listeners. And then Who's Next.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
I don't believe that this is a love song, but
this is Mary kste Hey.
Speaker 7 (10:06):
Maybe KJP was in the middle of a skydiving lesson
so she didn't never affect straight. Hunter was already on
his sobriety journey when he decided not to pay his taxes.
But the good thing is the left has no credibility
anymore on the rich don't pay their fair share, and
we need stricter gun laws.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Have a great day. Oh you're the best. Put her
down for filling. Yeah this, but this isn't about Hunter.
The dates give it away. This is about the deals
that Hunter Biden was doing with his father as vice
president at the time. That's why you can expect the
vice president's brother Jim to be next to be pardoned,
(10:44):
and maybe even the president try to pardon himself as well.
Any others before I move on. I got one more here,
God only knows.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
I'll Beach Boys, Oh wow, how can you forget that
that could be?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
And the winner is right? That song is That whole
album is so special, but that is an absolute masterpiece.
And I did a Christmas compilation video when the kids
were little and I used that song as the backdrop,
and I always think of that trapped in time, amazing
Christmas when the kids were young. Beach Boys, God only Knows.
(11:17):
Unchained melody, Nobody Knows Me Like You was my big
push with Dave Loggins and Anne Murray at last, Edda James,
I'll Always Love You, Whitney Houston. Ones that didn't quite
make the list Love Stinks two out of three, Ain't
Bad and Shook Me All Night Long by ac DC,
didn't quite embyone, rud Buttons used to do the old
(11:40):
never got a Roast. We'll find out what the history
of some of these songs are as soon as we
get our OFFU soon. All right, First time, your top
five stories of the day. Why Trump is headed to Paris.
That's a good question. Mark Mayfield has the answer in
Are Today in Politics.
Speaker 8 (11:58):
President delect Trump says he's hit to Paris this weekend.
In a post Monday Night on Truth Social Trump Centul
travel Saturday to attend the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral,
which has been fully restored after a devastating fire five
years ago. Italy Trump's first overseas trip since he was
elected to a second.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Term in office last month.
Speaker 8 (12:15):
The White House is defending President Biden's decision to pardon
his son Hunter. Spokeswoman Karine Jean Pierre spoke to reporters
on Air Force One as Biden traveled to Africa on Monday.
Speaker 9 (12:24):
Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious
addictions but paid them back subsequently with interests and penalties,
particularly given non criminal resolutions, it is clear that Hunter
was treated differently.
Speaker 8 (12:37):
President Biden had promised he would not pardon or commute
hunter sentence on federal gun and tax evasion charges. Republicans
and some Democrats not happy with the pardon, claiming Biden
put family ahead of the country and President elect Trump
is having investment banker Warren Stevens as a US ambassador
to the United Kingdom.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
He is a long time GOP donor. That's politics. I'm
Mark NETHEWD. Senator Ted Cruz says the proposed tariffs on
Canada and Mexico, they're already working. Brian shook me All
Morning Long has more.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
The Texas Republican praised President elect Trump for using this
as leverage to get the attention of world leaders.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Why hasn't Joe Biden done this?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a trip to mar
A Lago over the holiday weekend. He met with Trump,
who said on social media that they discussed the illegal
immigration and the flow of fentanyl across the border.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
I'm Brian Shook. I love the exchange. Yeah, Trudeau says,
you can't impose this twenty five percent terrified Canada. It's
going to completely kill our economy. Trump's rep reply was, oh,
so your country can't survive unless it rips my country
off to the tune of a hundred billion dollars. Then
he joker, He said, maybe Canada should become the fifty
first date. And of course then nobody knows whether to
(13:48):
take it as a joker. He may not be joking. More.
President elect Trump cabinet picks making the rounds with senators
on Capitol Hill. Lisa Taylor reports.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is Trump's nominee for age,
and she met with Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
I hope that you feel the honor that you should
feel for having this nomination from President Trump.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
I do. Chairman Grassley is the incoming chair of the
Senate Judiciary Committee. Trump is named over two dozen people
for top positions in his administration. The latest is Cash
Bettel to replace FBI Director Christopher Ray. Ray was appointed
by Trump in twenty seventeen, and replacing him would mean
Trump would have to force him to step down. To
tell as a former Justice Department prosecutor, i'mly SiZ Taylor.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
This is Rebecca in spring Hill, Tennessee, and my morning
show is your Morning Show with Michael del Jorno. Hi,
it's me Michael. Your Morning show can be heard live
daily on great radio stations like News Radio six fifty
(14:58):
k e NI Anchorage, Alaska, Talk Radio eleven ninety Dallas,
Fort Wort, and Freedom one oh four to seven in Washington,
d C. We'd love to have you listen live every day.
Make us a part of your morning routine, but better
late than never. Enjoy the podcast. Here's the point. I
want you to hear today, because you may not hear
it anywhere else. In a way it never would have created.
(15:19):
It created a Donald Trump two point zero. Donald Trump
did the unimaginable for most, not all. I actually predicted
him to win, but for most, and became president and
defeated Hillary Clinton. Then when he got in office, he
set about doing the things he said he would do.
(15:39):
But the curve ball of COVID, even the mistakes and
trusting Fauci with COVID, that changed everything. Had he had
a second term, he probably would have had a second
one hundred days that was really more like ten and
then a lame duck presidency. By leaving for four years,
they created a whole different scenario for Donald Trump too
(16:04):
first terms, too powerful, first one hundred days, and a
different man, a far more confident and different man. He's
not enamored by being elected. He has survived being removed, unfairly, attacked, unfairly,
even assassination. This is a different guy planning to lead
(16:26):
in a much different way. He's also wiser. He won't
make the same mistakes. He won't spend days being in
awe of where he is. He'll be back and hitting
the ground running. Now, I can't prove it to you today,
but my guess is this outgoing Kamikazi administration was trying
to start a world war to upset his presidency because
(16:47):
they'll put their power over everything, including your security. They
used a pandemic to regain power. They'd use a world
war to stifle his presidency. There's nothing worse for the
Democrats than a successful second Donald Trump because that will
lead to trump Ism and a Republican Party for decades
(17:08):
to come. And it leaves their party like the media
that's in their back pocket, with no audience, no revenue,
no accountability, no transparency, no credibility, and no influence. They're dead.
There is dead as journalism.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
Now.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Donald Trump often says things hubris that war would have
never happened if I was president, because he's right, I'll
solve that war with the Ukraine and Russia before even
take the oath of office. And he probably will because
we had a drum beat towards a world war prior
(17:47):
to Thanksgiving. That's just off the radar. Now. Something tells
me he may have had some conversations and then this
conversation not on the phone, right on truth social this
is your glimpse today December third, twenty twenty four of
(18:09):
how different Donald Trump two point zero is going to be.
As I was saying with Stephen Boucci, same country, same
American people, same military might, but was depending on who's
in that oval office, a completely different response and reaction
(18:29):
from the world. It matters who's in that office, it
matters who the leader is, and it matters that they
have credibility. That's why I think all this tariff talk
is just a negotiating art. It's ever going to come
to that because they know if they don't comply, he
(18:51):
will do it. The true Joe conversation is everything. This morning,
Trudeau's at Marlago. He's like, you can't do these twenty
five percent tariff shall kill my economy. Oh so you
have to screw my country out of one hundred billion
dollars or it hurts your economy. Gee, maybe you should
be the fifty first state. And what's chilling about that
(19:13):
is he might be serious. Look at his message on
truth social and I don't think it's specifically to Hamas.
I think it's to Hamas Hezballah, the Hoho Thi's Iran
(19:34):
beyond Iran, to Russia, North Korea, and to China. And
because they don't know everyone he's talking to, and because
they know what he says, he means and what he
means he says, the Reagan moment is created. Donald Trump writes,
(19:54):
Please let this in all capitals, the word truth. Please
let this truth serve to represent that if the hostages
are not released prior to January twentieth, twenty twenty five,
the date I probably assume the office and president of
the United States, there will be all in caps, all
hell to pay in the Middle East. And for those
(20:19):
in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against humanity, those responsible
will be a hit harder than anybody has ever been
hit in a long time. And it's a storied history
of the United States of America. All caps. Release the
hostages now he's not even president. And for the few
(20:42):
that are still alive, if released by inauguration day, is
this not Reagan again? Carter medals in the Iranian election
shaws out Iatola's in Welcome to the Islamic Republic of Iran,
a radical shihatest govern government with its own revolutionary guard
(21:02):
and military. Jimmy Carter created the most predictable threat to
the world today. And as he left offices, left office,
our hostages were still in custody. When Ronald Reagan took
the oath of office, they were released.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
See.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
I don't know what this kamikaze Old Joe or whoever's
really calling the shots in the Oval Office, probably Podesta,
probably Obama, what they've got planned for this final month
or two. But the final say will be Donald Trump's
when the war is over with Russia and Ukraine, just
upon taking the oath of office, when the hostages are
(21:40):
released in the Middle East, just upon taking the oath
of office, same country, same declaration of independence, same constitution,
same people in a government of the people, same military might,
different leader had hadn't even made his way to the home.
(22:02):
He'll now live, and he may resolve this. That would
be the final say. And if they don't duck, they
have to release them. You may not remember, but they
(22:25):
remember what he did as president. Anybody ever talking about
isis anymore?
Speaker 3 (22:37):
You know?
Speaker 1 (22:40):
I had to As much as I loved Christmas in
America nineteen seventy three, I had to tell Davids and
I the truth. I don't think anything will love her
top nineteen twenty eight because of the profound, real truth
and message of nineteen twenty eight. It took the depression,
the suffering of the depression, the starvation and hopelessness of
(23:01):
the depression, to create the greatest generation that would liberate
and save the world from Nazi Germany. It may have
taken an assassination, attempt, impeachments, weaponization of COVID, stealing an
(23:24):
election to create the Donald Trump we need for this hour,
and it's coming, and I see it so clearly in
this truth social post. Do I believe not just a
Moss but to Iran, Russia, China and anybody else that
(23:46):
may have been behind or supported this, this is going
to be. As much as you love the first Donald Trump,
this is a much different Donald Trump about to enter office,
which could create a much different world and a much
different America. To quote John Kennedy, who is behind me
for our time and for all time. That's a great
(24:08):
message of hope.
Speaker 5 (24:08):
This morning, it's Your Morning Show with Michael del Chno.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
We have a talk back from Jeff in Nashville. Yeah
we did.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Yeah, Well, forgive me not about Patricia Russian since you
forgot what date.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Interviews will to be longtime talkbacker. First, I'm listener. Thank you, Hey, guys,
a riot. As I mentioned earlier, when I fire, it
will be live on the air for all to hear.
And you know why I'm not mad at that, Why
because you do good. Other voices I could not tell
(24:41):
that was you. President elect Trump, with a very clear
warning to Hamas and anyone else listening, release those hostages
and release them by inauguration day or else. Supreme Court
discussing FDA actions on flavored vapes. White House is denying
President Biden lied when he previously said he would not
partner his son hunt. Even the Democrats aren't buying. That
(25:02):
looks like the coldest start to December in years for
the US. You know, no sooner to I cribe that.
You know, global warming is messing with my Christmas spirit.
And I told you now that it's feeling cold, it's
feeling more like Christmas. Sure, and that's why we're all
spending and record numbers could be shattering of all holiday
spending records on the horizon. We always give Rory the
(25:24):
final story. I think this one's kind of interesting. Twenty
twenty five, the Year of European travel, not that we
have travel agents anymore. We'll let you be our travel agent.
Why is twenty twenty five shaping up to be the
year to travel internationally? Well, because of the economies.
Speaker 6 (25:40):
It looks like the euro and the dollar maybe on
parody again this year.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
We're already down to a dollar five for one.
Speaker 6 (25:48):
Euro, which means a dollar for a dollar in Europe
is a good thing because normally it's closer to a
dollar fifteen dollars twenty. It's been as high I think
as a dollar forty, so that makes it much more affordable.
Big asterisk on this one, though. Europe is going to
be incredibly busy this year. We've got a jubilee in
the Catholic Church, so that's going to be drawing big crowds,
(26:09):
especially to Rome and Vatican City. And now you've got
Notre Dame reopening this weekend. That's going to jam up
Paris some more so the big well known destinations Rome
in Paris look beyond that in order to find that
European destination to take advantage of that exchange rate.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
My father used to have an expression when we were little.
Probably should have been able to be wise enough to
realize he was bashing my mother when he said this,
and does he said, when you're single, your pockets jingle
when you're hitched, and then he had a word that
ride with that. Rory has always kept himself free, free
(26:48):
to travel, so no one has traveled more than you.
If you had to give us the best place you've
ever gone in the world, because my one grandfather said,
and he went and served in World War two, so
he had of Europe and service, but he said he
wasn't going to go anywhere outside the country until he
saw everything in this country. And of course he never
accomplished that before his death. But so I've kind of
(27:09):
had that mindset that and I don't you know, really
because of radio, I don't get off enough time to
do Europe. It takes two weeks or more. But of
all the places you've gone, what was the greatest trip
you've ever taken.
Speaker 6 (27:22):
I mean, I spent one year traveling around the world,
so that was sort of a weird trip. But I've
been asked the question what's your favorite spot, and I'd say, well,
it depends in terms of places i'd like to move to.
You know, I'm an Irish citizen as well. In Ireland,
a hotbeat, but one of my favorite spots to go.
Morocco surprised me. I wasn't expecting that to be as
(27:42):
cool as it was. But for a place i'd also
like to move to is Tasmania and just getting there
as a problem off the southern coast of Australia.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Loved it way down under it but this deal on
the Europe. Whenever I think of like Tasmania or even Australia,
I think of giant spiders everywhere, or you know, I
don't know that. What was so great about Tasmania just
a great vibe.
Speaker 6 (28:08):
It's it's isolated because it's an island off the coast,
and it's sort of self reliant, big sailing communities and
uh yeah no. It just had a very relaxed tons
of cider and the hard cider kind of cider. And
because all their apples are really bought by China, so
the stuff that China doesn't buy they keep locally and
(28:29):
use to make local cider. And it's all very independent
and tons of bakeries.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Now Morocco I picture hot and dusty, with a lot
of street merchants and rugs. I don't know that does
a lot of that, but they all thought I was German.
Well it's just yeah, so they get a lot and
formerly French influence. Same with Vietnam.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
You get that you you turn the corner like, wait,
that's a Vietnam, but that's a French architecture style, like
oh right, France ran this place over here, and you
and you find these old pieces, especially of the colonizing countries,
like that's a little English, that's a little French.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Yeah, the Coloni. You didn't mention most of your pictures
on Facebook or Egypt. Egypt didn't make that list. Yeah,
Egypt is very photographic, but that was the extent of it.
Who has the best hotel rooms out of everything you.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
Just mentioned, I would, oh, go ahead. I was in
Amsterdam and I stayed on a boat. Oh that'd be cool.
So that was cool right there at the harbor near
the train station. Yeah, so it was cool to stay.
And I always wanted to sort like Gilligan's kind of boat,
you know it. It was at a motor boat from
the nineteen thirties. Yeah, like an old woodie.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Yeah, no, that would be romantic, I think, you know,
for in this order, probably I would think I would
