Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, I'm Michael, and your morning show is heard on
great radio stations across the country like one oh five,
nine twelve fifty w HNZ and Tampa, Florida News Radio
five seventy WKBN and Youngstown, Ohio and News Radio one
thousand KTOK in Oklahoma City. Love to have you listen
to us live in the morning, and of course we're
so grateful you came for the podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Enjoy three.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Starting your morning off right, A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding because we're in this together.
This is your morning show with Michael del Johno.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Good morning, Michael Dell journal is off today and I
think for the entire week. My name's Kelly Nash, coming
to you from South Carolina, filling in and it's a
pleasure to be with you. If you know, I know
the listening patterns are a lot different over the last
week or two, because you know, last week a lot
of people took the week off for Christmas, and so
perhaps you didn't hear me filling in last week.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
And you're like, who is this guy?
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Or perhaps this is uh, you know, your first week back,
or perhaps you know people who are just traveling right now. Whatever, Well, again,
just so you know who I am when you're calling
it or you're not calling and you're using the talkback
feature on the your morning show, as Michael del Journal
always says, your morning show is about you. It's about
you participating, and that's why we have the talkback feature,
(01:23):
which makes life so much easier than in the old
days when you used to have to call into a
radio show and then you'd sit there on hold forever
waiting for the host to get to you. Well, nowadays
you just use the talkback feature.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
On the I Hurt Radio app.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
And if you're listening right now through the ihurt Radio app,
you'll see a little microphone. You press that microphone, it'll
give you a three two one countdown and you got
about thirty seconds to leave your message, and we'd love
to get you on the air, get your feedback on
some of the stories that we're talking about this morning.
And by the way, not only is Michael off, everybody's
off right now.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Jeff is off, Red is off.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
So it's just me and a guy named Adam I've
never met, but he's out there in La producing the
show and very thankful for him. So he'll go through
the talkback features and we'll get some of them on
the air, hopefully in just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Now as we start the last work.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Week of the year for many of us, understand that
there's winter Storm Ezra out there, which is a pounding
the upper Midwest and then it's going to slide into
the Northeast and dump even more. My mother lives in
Connecticut and so she got about I think five to
six inches last week.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Hopefully she's not going to do as bad this week.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
But you know, you saw New York City got like
four inches, Boston got more. So we'll see what happens
to a lot of the travel hub centers in the northeast,
Chicago coleveland Detroit. As this storm just apparently going to
wreak havoc on a lot of holiday travel right now.
And this is one of those weird events where you know,
(02:58):
you might just be living on the West Coast, you
might just be traveling from you know, San Diego to
La or you know, Arizona or whatever, and you're thinking, well,
this is not going to have any effect on me. Unfortunately,
it still may as these flights get canceled. Oftentimes, what
we see are these flights that are coming from the Northeast,
are supposed to be going to the west coast or
(03:21):
someplace south like Florida, and they end up not being
able to make the flight, which throws everything into havoc.
So even though you may not be traveling into the Northeast,
you may in fact be finding yourself on a massive
delay or whatever. So if you're heading to the airport
in the next day or two, make sure you're calling
in advance, checking the apps, whatever, because you certainly. One
(03:42):
of the worst things in life that I have found
is just being stuck at an airport. I remember one
time I had to catch a flight out of lax
and we ended up being delayed for like sixteen hours.
It was an unbelievable nightmare for me. I mean to
some you know, for you world class travel, you might
be absolutely used to spending extended periods of.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Time at an airport.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
I was not. And I you know, that was a
twenty five year ago event, and I still shudder thinking
about it. Other things that have been happening around the
country over the weekend. Look, Americans are football crazy. We
love football, and so we've got a very weird dynamic
(04:27):
that was developed over the weekend in the NFC South
because the Steelers, who are sub five hundred, well, excuse
me not, I'm actually looking at the Steelers Ravens game.
Let me just go back to the Carolina Panthers, who
are at five hundred are going to play Tampa Bay,
(04:47):
who is sub five hundred, and the winner of that
game this Sunday ends up as the champ of their conference.
That is so ironic. So, I mean, this is is
that the crap? Is that what we're calling this game?
I mean, this is horrible. You also had the weird
picture yesterday of the Raiders basically benching anybody who was good.
(05:11):
If you played yesterday for the Raiders, you know what
your team thinks of you, because they definitely were trying
to throw that game against the Giants because the loser
of the game is more likely to end up with
the number one pick. The Giants, I guess, didn't pick
up on the hint and they ran away with it.
I think thirty four to ten was the final yesterday
for New York, so they have now thrown away their
(05:33):
opportunity it would seem to get the first overall pick
in the next year's NFL draft and.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Who's it going to be.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
It's probably gonna end up being that quarterback from Indiana.
And we've got college football playoffs coming down a little
bit later on this week.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Wednesday, Miami takes on Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Thursday, you got Oregon Texas Tech Thursday. That is the
noon kickoff on Thursdays. You're planning your New Year's Day festivities.
On New Year's Day a little bit later, four o'clock,
that's the game with Indiana and their quarterback taking on
number nine Alabama. Alabama is an underdog again. I can't
(06:16):
remember the last time I saw Alabama back to back
underdog two games in a row. But yes, they are
underdogs in this game. And then you've got the Sugar
Bowl happening New Year's Night, Ole Miss versus Georgia. So
a lot of great college football, NFL playoffs getting started.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
A lot going on in that area.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
And like I said, we've got the weather front that's
moving in, and of course we are going to.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Have to talk about some politics.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
One of the stories that is just fascinating is I
guess we'll just call it the Somalian fraud. I'm not
really sure how else people are recognizing this. The Minnesota fraud,
but it is spreading from Minnesota into Massachusetts into now
Washington is concerned about it, the state of Washington, not
(07:04):
the city. Well, I guess we can break down some
of that. But there was some riveting reporting done over
the weekend, and the scale of the fraud seems to
be just mind boggling. How is it that billions and
billions and billions of dollars has literally gone to nothing,
(07:27):
just comes right out of the textplayers pockets and has
gone to nothing. If you have thoughts on how this
is even possible, and should the governors of these states
be held accountable or who do you hold accountable for this?
Is it just the head of the departments. I'm not
even sure who should be in trouble. Well, I have
(07:47):
some thoughts on that. I guess I'll be sharing those
thoughts with you as we kind of delve into the
Somalian fraud specifically in Minnesota and like I said, spreading
elsewhere and other stories and if there's things that you'd
like to talk about again, and it's called Your Morning Show,
use the talkback feature and let us know about it.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
This is Your Morning Show with Michael del Chno.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Kelly Nash filling in for Michael bel Zerno. We were
talking about the weather earlier. I just realized, my goodness,
in California I eighty was shut down parts of it
is the California Sierra Nevada Mountain Range received four feet
of snow. Goodness, gracious, that is an unbelievable amount of snow.
(08:38):
And that's one of those stories that I guess, you know,
the kids of today will be able to tell their
children in the future. You have no idea what it
was like. You know, we hear about these. You know,
our parents, our grandparents, we used to walk to school
and feet and feet of snow. Well, I guess the
people in California can say that that's true. Is and
we're going to see some more of it today is
winter Storm Ezra roll across the upper Midwest and into
(09:01):
the Northeast.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
So a lot going.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
On with the travel this morning, and a lot going
on with what we're just calling Somalian fraud. And I
understand that if you're from Somalia you may be a
bit sensitive to that phrase.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
But of the people that so far.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Have been indicted in Minnesota, about ninety nine percent of
them are from Somalia, so that's why they're calling it now. Again,
it's not exclusively. There's been a few people who are
native born Americans or don't have Somalian backgrounds that have
been indicted as well. This really started breaking two or
(09:41):
three scandals ago, and that was the Feeding the USA
I think it was called Feed Our Children, was the
charity that a bunch of people got arrested over that
they were these local Somalian restaurants in Minnesota and Minneapolis
specifically for most of them that were getting grants to
(10:02):
feed people in need, and they weren't actually feeding anyone.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
And it just kept going up and up and up.
And the fact that.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Every year they were like tripling the budget for this
should have set off some red flags and some sirens
like what's happening? Why are so many people starving in
our state? And it turns out that they weren't. And
then I think by now everyone has heard about the
autism fraud, which is just so heartbreaking. I'm the parent
(10:35):
of a child who, well he's now a full full
grown adult, he's in his thirties, but it was very difficult,
as anybody who's raising an autistic child can tell you,
it's very challenging. You don't seem to have but at
least twenty five years ago, it didn't seem like anybody
was around to help it. Just you just felt confused
(10:58):
and like, what am I supposed to do with this?
Perhaps it's a little bit easier today, but it's never
going to be easy when you're raising somebody who's facing autism,
depending on which level they are on the spectrum. And
so apparently in Minnesota they had these programs where they
were going to help parents, they were going to fund them,
(11:19):
give them some extra money.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Could be for just a break, you know, a respite, have.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Somebody come in and just take care of the child
for a little while so you can get a break,
which is a fantastic thing to do, because you know,
for anybody who's a caretaker, getting a break is a
big thing. Could also be for special tutoring to help
your child, you want to maximize their potential. Great intentions
in this autism program that apparently they were running in
(11:46):
Minnesota completely taken advantage of and hundreds and hundreds of millions,
some say a billion dollars just in that program, according
to local news outlets, was defrauded. What was happening in
that instance, was there were people who were involved that
(12:10):
just signed up parents. They would go to a parent
and say, look, I know your kid's not autistic, but
can we get you to sign up for this program.
Will send you the checks, you give us the majority
of the check, but you get to keep some of
the money yourself. And then obviously the scammer would keep
some of the money. And then some of that money
apparently went back to Somalia to help fund their economy,
(12:31):
and in some instances it appears was funding terrorism.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
That's pretty frustrating. I mean, that's beyond frustrating.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
And now the amount of fraud has swollen to in
Minnesota a little over nine billion dollars. And this has
got ilhan Omar, the Somalian who has been on camera.
You see her talking about her allegiance is not to
(13:04):
the United States, that her number one interest is to
make sure that Somalia is taken care of. How in
the world did she ever get elected? And you know,
I think to myself, are there that many Somalians? And
then you look it up and there's only eighty one
thousand in the state of Minnesota. So overwhelmingly it's the
(13:25):
native born Americans are choosing, for whatever reason, to continue
to send back as a representative to Washington, DC, a
representative who says, my main concern is not you.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I am more concerned.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
About people in a different land, not even Americans. I
mean you, You would think that they wouldn't even be
interested in sending back somebody who said Minnesota wasn't my
number one goal. But at least perhaps that you could
see some sort of I don't know, negotiation or something
where people would say, well, you know what, maybe we
(14:00):
don't need as much federal grants here in the state
of Minnesota. We're not as interested in quote unquote bringing
home the bacon to our state. Let's just do what's
best in the interest of the United States. Perhaps you
might elect somebody like that. But when the person is
openly saying my number one goal is to help fund Somalia,
(14:23):
and that is not a one off. That is something
that she has said numerous times. She's welcomed to the
president of Somalia and said with him on stage, this
is my president, what that's your president.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
It's just mind boggling. But now we're seeing that this
fraud is spreading. I shouldn't say it's spreading. More and
more discoveries are being made in other states like Washington State,
like Massachusetts, basically Democrat run states are starting to.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
I guess, scratch the surface.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
And notice, oh, we have a Somalian problem as well.
Now there's an undercover investigator. Well he is even undercover.
His name is Nick Shirley. Nick Shirley is twenty three
years old. And Friday he posted a video where in
twenty four hours, this untrained journalist, using his own camera crew,
(15:31):
discovered in Minneapolis over one hundred million dollars in fraud
in less than twenty four hours.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
And he had you know, he has all the receipts
to prove it. And where is the mainstream media on that?
Speaker 4 (15:48):
So far, the vast majority of mainstream media has not
discussed that instance. Don't they don't bring up the fact
that Nick Shirley is doing this. Now, you would think
the New York Times, Washington Post, somebody MS thirteen or
MS thirteen, that's what I like to call MS now
(16:09):
is now MS thirteen the illegal Alien gang network. Somebody
would send somebody to interview Nick Shirley. But no, they're
not talking about Nick Shirley. They're not talking about the fraud.
They're not talking about any of these subjects. They're just
going to let that slide until I guess it gets
bigger and bigger and bigger. So it's really up to
you to make a big deal out of it.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
It's up to the.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
United States taxpayer to say, we don't want billions going
to other countries through fraud.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
This is your Morning show with Michael Deltona.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Filling in today and tomorrow. My name is Kelly Nash.
I think you get Chris Krock. I might be wrong
on that, but I believe he's filling in the rest
of the week. I hope you're enjoying the holiday season.
And you know, for those of you who are Christians,
you hopefully celebrated Christmas in the in the proper tradition.
For those of you who are agnostic or atheist or
(17:09):
other religions, you got an opportunity to celebrate a very
secular holiday. And of course that's the way Christmas is seen.
It's seen as by two different lights. For a lot
of society, Hey, we're shopping, We're having a big time.
It's a time for family to get together. Perhaps you
kind of look at it as Thanksgiving part two, maybe
(17:33):
a time for you to be thankful for family and friends,
and you've got all kinds of other things you've got,
the friends giving you got, you got all these different
ways of looking at it. For Christians, you look at
it as the birth of Jesus, the first part of
what you need in order to forgive all.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Of your sins.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
You would say I needed I needed a virgin birth,
because man is sinful, and so all human being born
into sin unless.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Your father is actually God. If your father's God.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Then you don't have any sin at birth, and then
you have the capability of living a perfect life, which
is what the Bible says. Jesus did, lived a perfect
sin free life, and so there was no sin for
him to atone for. So he was then able to
atone for the sin of everybody else. Anybody else who
wants to have their sins paid for, they can put
(18:30):
it on Jesus. And Jesus has paid it all. So
we celebrate his birth, and then we celebrate his death
on Good Friday, and then we celebrate his resurrection on
Easter Sunday, and those are very Christian holidays, but the.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
World has kind of taken some of that and turned
it in.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
You know, you got the Easter Bunny, and everybody's having
a big time with the Easter eggs and whatnot, so
you can.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Make it a secular event.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
However, earlier I mentioned that The Washington Post was one
of the many mainstream media outlets who has not reported
at all over the weekend on what Nick Shirley, the
individual just some guy with a YouTube channel, was able
to discover over one hundred million dollars worth of fraud
(19:16):
in Minnesota in less than twenty four hours.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
They have not talked about that story.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
However, they did have a story over the weekend regarding
the fact that a lot and I'll just read to
you top officials and President Donald Trump's administration posted messages
from their government accounts. Now that's a big deal to
them from their government accounts hailing Christmas in explicitly sectarian terms,
(19:41):
such as a day to celebrate the birth of our
Savior Jesus Christ. These came from people like AG Secretary
Brooke Rollins, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth,
Justice Department Assistant Attorney General Hamiit Dylan Well, who described
Christmas as a Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
(20:05):
This message sharply diverged from the more secular Santa Claus
reindeer style of Christmas messages that have been the norm
for government agencies for years. The Post provides the latest
example of this administration's efforts to promote the cultural views
and language of Trump's evangelical Christian base. They have a
(20:27):
problem with this at the Washington Post that there are
Christians inside the administration who used and again that's the
big thing to them is their official government account to
celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Now, I guess what.
They didn't get to it, but they're going to talk
about it, I guess in a follow up article the
(20:50):
separation of Church and State, which I don't know how
many times conservative talk radio people can discuss this, But
everybody understands or should understand that what we're talking about
is we're talking about the government cannot force a religion
upon anybody, and that the Founding Fathers were fleeing a
(21:13):
forced basically Catholic religion is what there was being forced
upon them by the Church in England, and they didn't
want that. They wanted people to be free to be Protestants, Catholics, Jewish, Muslim,
be whatever you'd like to be. We're not forcing a
(21:33):
religion upon anybody. There's no official state religion, and if
you don't follow it, you're not allowed to do business
in the state or the country.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
That's not allowed in the United States.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
However, at no point, and by the way, you can
go and read the Federalist papers. You can read in
the Declaration of Independence, you can read in the Constitution
references to God, and quite clearly the God that they're
speaking of is the God of the Bible.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
That's who they're talking about.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
So the fact that we have top government officials referencing
Christmas as the birth of Jesus, which is actually the
that is the foundation of the holiday. Whether you've turned
it into something otherwise, that's again in America. You're free
to do that. We're not forcing you to say that
(22:25):
this is the birth of Jesus. But the word Christmas,
Christ means Messiah, Mass means celebration. We're celebrating the birth
of the Messiah. That's what Christmas is. That's where it
(22:45):
comes from. Now you can get into the whole idea
about whether or not it's you know, Christians hijack that
from the Romans and said, you know, that's actually the
winter solstice and all these types of things. Sure, but
when the word Christmas is attached to it, that's what
it means. The fact that you've got Rootolph the red
nos Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman involved as a secular
(23:08):
level that's adjacent to it. That's not actually the founding
of it, that's not the purpose of it.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
So again, the Washington Post does.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Not want to report on billions of dollars in fraud
where the taxpayers are losing literally billions of dollars and
in some instances is actually funding terrorism. And by the way,
the terrorism that they're funding in Somalia is used to
actually target Christians in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians have been
(23:45):
murdered by this terrorist group that US tax dollars. Well,
according to one Minnesota newspaper, the number one contributor to
Somalian terrorist activities is the US taxpayer congratulations. Last year,
that money was used to take over a university in
(24:05):
Nigeria where they held the people inside the cafeteria and
basically checked.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Are you a Muslim you walk out? Are you a Christian?
You stay?
Speaker 4 (24:18):
And after they let all the Muslims out, they murdered
everybody in the room. That's what they don't want to
talk about that, but they want to be offended over
the idea that government officials said, we're celebrating the birth
of Jesus Christ on Christmas. Unbelievable. It really is shocking
(24:39):
that we're at this level now. Perhaps you have some
thoughts on that. If you have some thoughts on it,
like Michael del Zernald tells you, if you're not, if
you don't normally get to listen to your morning show,
Michael is an incredible host, and I highly encourage you
to start your days with your morning show.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Michael del ernel will walk.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
You through a a whole litany of matter every every hour.
It's just filled with information and insights. But more importantly,
as he says, it's really up to you to make
it your morning show by using the talkback feature and
the talkback features on the I hurt Radio app. If
you're listening on the radio right now and you're saying
I don't have this I hurt Radio app, it's free
(25:17):
to download just go to wherever you get apps and
look for the I Hurt Radio app. Once you have
that installed on your phone or your tablet or whatever
you're listening through, then you have the talkback feature, which
is just the microphone. You press the button, it gives
you the three two one countdown. You got about thirty
seconds to leave a message. And Adam is producing the
show this morning, so he'll listen to those, and if
(25:39):
we get some people who are worthy up to his standards,
we'll put them on the air.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
I hope to hear from you.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
This is your morning show with Michael del Chona.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
I hope you're doing okay in Ohio. Hope you're not
getting too much snow.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
As we were looking at some of the forecast for
just big areas of the country, Mike, goodness, a lot
of snow falling.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
It had.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
California in some areas got four feet of snow, and
now the Northeast and the Midwest are kind of piling
it up again.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
As we wrap up.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Twenty twenty five, you know I'm looking at the most
googled searches. Well, these are the biggest US searches in
twenty twenty five. Number one Charlie Kirk, and that is
obviously a tragedy. But I also I was having a
discussion with somebody the other day. Charlie Kirk had lived
(26:44):
a humongously impactful life. I believe his death is going
to be even more impactful than the life that he led.
If you look at his videos, the amounts of views
that he's gotten since his passing is almost tripled. His
impact has been humongous because people were wondering.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
What was what was he all about?
Speaker 4 (27:11):
Why was he able to have such an impact with
college students while he was alive. Well now it's going
to increase and you can see that just as the
number one search term for the year is Charlie Kirk.
K Pop demon Hunters came in at number two. I
have no idea, never looked looked it up. I guess
that was a show. L boo boo. I heard about
(27:32):
these hot toys. Not interested. Iphoned seventeen.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
One. Big Beautiful Bill was at number five.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Zorhan Mamdani came in at number six, Deep Seek at seven,
government shut down at eight, FIFA World Cup at nine,
and tariffs at number ten.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
So there's that is twenty twenty five in a nutshell.
Speaker 4 (27:59):
Or World Cup, government shut down, Deep seek, Mom, Donnie
the Big Beautiful Bill iPhone, seventeen le Boo Boo, k Bomp,
Demon Hunters, and Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
That wrapped up twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Now, if you look at twenty twenty four, number one
was election Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
I don't know what connections meant. That was the number.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
That was the third biggest search term in twenty twenty four.
Perhaps if you know, do you remember why we were
searching for the word connections last year?
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Let us know.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
On the talk Bak feature, New York Yankees were the
number four. Kamala Harris at number five Copa America.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
I believe that was a soccer tournament.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Hurricane Milton Slash Hurricane Milton Tracker at number seven. Olympic
medal count at eight. Toby Keith and Liam Payne rounded
out nine and ten. Obviously, those two individuals unfortunately passed
last year.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Toby Keith, I guess natural causes.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Liam Payne that he was the young man in was
it one direction who passed rather suddenly. I think he
was only like thirty years old and that was a tragedy.
But it's always interesting if you look back on the
year in the most googled searches, at least by your country,
you can kind of get a vibe as to what
(29:31):
the year was all about.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
So when you look.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
At again back to twenty twenty five, we're going to
put K pop demon Hunters in Labuobu to the side,
iPhone seventeen, whatever the iPhone is that's coming out, that's
usually going to be one of the biggest searches. One
Big Beautiful Bill, the big beautiful bill that is a
life changing piece of legislation, or so the Republicans are hoping.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
They're believing that that is going to.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
Give people the biggest tax returns that they've had in many,
many years, perhaps the biggest tax return of their lives.
And so we'll start seeing that playing out. I guess
in the end of January, beginning of February that's when
the returns will start coming in, depending on how early
you file, and by April.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
It will be fully implemented.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
And again, the One Big Beautiful Bill, when they're talking
about the tax cuts they're talking about, they made those
they even though it wasn't signed till the fourth of July,
they put them back in retroactively all the way back
to the beginning of the year, so twenty twenty five
could be a huge tax return for you. And they're
hoping that will actually send the economy to the next level.
(30:43):
And a lot of Americans are certainly hoping on that.
The reason Zorhan Mamdani is the number six search and
is also the new mayor mayor elect of New York
City be sworn in on New Year's Eve. I guess
as the ball drops in New Year's Day, he will
then become the man of New York City is because
a lot of people don't believe in the economy, They
(31:04):
don't believe that it's possible to chase the American dream anymore.
And so Mom, Donnie and the socialists have offered this
alternative where you know, why why should you pay for medicine?
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Why should you pay for anything?
Speaker 4 (31:19):
In the rit And it's always prefaced with in the
richest country in the history of the world, because and
if you start walking down this socialist path, and conservatives
have talked about this often, but apparently not often enough,
or perhaps there's not enough conservatives in the country. Once
you start making things free, it's like the old phrase
(31:41):
If you think healthcare is expensive, now wait till it's free.
Then it's going to be really expensive. Perhaps we'll talk
about college education coming up, because I you know, that
was one of the big things, is that the Trump
administration is trying to lower the costs on college. And
the way they're doing that is they're reclassifying what is
a professional job what is not. Democrats are jumping on
(32:02):
that as an opportunity to say, well, they don't think
much of nurses, that is not What did you know
that in nineteen eighty five the cost for a nursing
degree would be about four thousand dollars. Today it's over
one hundred thousand dollars. It's closer to two hundred thousand dollars.
(32:23):
That's why people who graduate when nursing degrees have massive debt.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Right now, you shouldn't have massive debt.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
So if we reclassify, get less government intervention, less government
money into the system, that should force the schools to
start lowering their prices.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
That's the goal.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
So mom, Donnie is saying, listen, you're not going to
pay for medicine, You're not going to pay for buses,
you're not going to pay for eventually much of anything,
the government will take care of.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
That for you. So that's he wouldn't exist.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
The socialist movement would not exist if people believed in
the idea of capitalism and the idea that the American
dream is still alive. Government shut down, obviously, that was
a huge issue for many weeks in the fall. Hopefully
we don't repeat that here in just a couple of weeks.
Although we seem to be setting ourselves up for another
(33:16):
government shutdown, we don't have to have the government shut down.
The Republicans do have the power of saying we're we're
just going to kill the filibuster and we'll just use
what's called the nuclear option. We'll just use simple majority votes.
I'm surprised they haven't done it already. I feel like
they should have already done it and started codifying some
of Trump's executive orders because we're getting into that very
(33:40):
dangerous area where the midterms are going to come up
and Trump could lose power and then we're just being
a two years of just everything shut down, impeachments and
so on and so forth.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
We're all in this together. This is Your Morning with
